And #2, though I'm not sure if you're interested in this one: “If there’s one thing the world needs more of…” - Keeli/Ima-Gun Di <3
This was the first time I wrote about these two. Was an interesting challenge but think I managed it. -- -- -- --
“If there’s one thing the world needs more of…”
The Separatists had stopped their attack for the time being and, despite knowing that this fragile moment of peace would pass sooner than later, Ima-Gun felt a moment relief as he watched the sun slowly reach the horizon, coloring Ryloth's skies with brilliant shades of orange and gold and pink.
Below him, hidden beneath the rocks and large overhands the refugees were settling for the night while his and Syndulla's men moved among the civilians, securing the perimeter. The lowing of the blurrgs bounced from the high cliffs, causing Ima-Gun wince a little as the echoes traveled far.
He sighed, stroking one of the horns on his chin. There really was no use for them to be quiet: the battle droids knew where they were.
As the Nikto Jedi Master watched the battered people and his men, one of the troopers separated from the others, approaching him. Even before the trooper was close enough to talk, Ima-Gun felt the man's worry and tiredness through the Force.
"Captain," Ima-Gun greeted with a small nod, watching his Captain remove his helmet and nod back in return.
"Sir. Is everything alright?" the man asked quietly, most likely in order not to cause any panic among the tired Twi'leks.
"I sense we won't be troubled by the Separatists for a few hours, if not longer," Ima-Gun replied with a sigh. He glanced at the trooper next to him, noting the way his brows were drawn together. Keeli's facial hair, Ima-Gun noticed, had grown a little darker, high-lighting the strong jaw.
"You should take this chance and rest, Keeli," Ima-Gun suggested gently, allowing his expression to soften from the pensive one that he only seemed to wear these days.
"There'll be time to rest once we get past these mountains and can blast those tincans into heavens," Keeli replied darkly before adding, almost as if as an afterthought, "sir."
The Nikto snorted, air clearing beneath his covered nose and breathing tubes. Once, the sound and the sight had startled Keeli enough so that the man had all but jumped in the air, but now he barely twitched.
"Your liking to explosions would endear you to Master Kolar; he also approves the use of more, hmm, volatile methods when it comes to solving problems," Ima-Gun mused.
"General Kolar sounds like a being I would get along quite well then," Keeli replied dryly, one corner of his mouth curving into a half smirk.
Ima-Gun narrowed his eyes but they were sparkling with humor. "If there's one thing the world needs more of, it's beings like me to keep beings like you and Master Kolar meeting up. Besides - "
The Jedi Master flattened his mouthflaps in a smile as he leaned slightly closer. He watched Keeli's eyes widen just a bit, lips parting as Ima-Gun lowered his voice down to a soft whisper.
" - you were my Captain first. Agen can go and find himself his own explosion happy Captain."
Keeli swallowed visibly before grinning. "Guess you make a good point, sir. I've already learned how to deal with Niktos, would be a hassle to learn how to deal with Zabraks as well."
Ima-Gun mock-sniffed, straightening himself. "Niktos and Zabraks are nothing quite like. First of all, no decent species have eyes that glow in the dark. Reveals one's position far too easily." He moved to stand beside Keeli, close enough that their shoulders were almost touching.
Keeli laughed at that and the sound of his amusement pleased the Jedi Master, even more so when the man leaned closer and pressed their shoulders together for a quick second.
"Something tells me there's a story behind that," Keeli hummed, the wrinkles between his eyes gone and his part in the Force more relaxed than it had been just moments ago.
“If there was, I am quite certain not a single word of it will reach Master Kolar’s ears?” Ima-Gun mused, enjoying the way Keeli’s eyes lit at his words.
Yes, the moment of peace would be soon over but for now, Ima-Gun was happy enough to spend it by sharing stories with Keeli.

Hi there again Keri!
I saw your answer to my previous ask. I'm glad that my message could bring your mood up at least a little, so I decided to visit your ask box again 😊
I'm so glad you were able to get to an art club! I'm really proud of you! That's a huge step forward in healing, if you were able to do something you love again, even to a smaller scale (not a self ship yet, but the whole art piece indeed! That's really exciting!) 😁😁😁
The doodle you rebloged with Starscream is so cute! You are so good at drawing expressions. Truly an amazing work, even if it's just a sketch it looks so damn good! I know I said it already, but I must say it again. You truly are a really talented artist ❤❤❤
I'm also really happy you are spending more time with your friends, and that the process helps you. I hope it will only continue, and you will fill better and better with every day, and every week passing. I still believe in you!!! ❤❤❤
I hope your anniversary would be amazing! Best wishes, and as always, sending love from the other side of the globe! 🌌🌠🌌
Awwww you absolute sweetheart 🥺🥺🥺🥺 thank you for brightening up my inbox once again!!! 🌟✨🌟✨🌟✨
AHHH YES the club!!! :D I am so so hopeful about drawing stuff again. Meeting with the art group once a week is going to help me get back into the rhythm of things FOR SURE!!!!! And everyone is SO NICE oh my gosh I can't wait to get to know them better. I've only been to one meeting so far, last week was my first time, and I can't tell you how nervous I was, I've never drawn in front of people or livestreamed before so it felt a little weird knowing that ppl were like... able to see what I was drawing at all times if they just looked away from their own canvas haha///// I've always drawn total silence, just me in my room criticizing my every brush stroke; I am not used to receiving feedback until the art is completed. so to be surrounded by others and hear someone say something nice while I'm in the actual process of drawing, when things are messy and still being constructed, is WILD to me. I'd be thinking "wow I cannot get this pose right" and someone will perk up "oh wow Keri that looks soooo good so far!!" and then I'm like "HUH?" sdlfjsdlkf
one person even assumed I had a shop and said "what's your Etsy? or do you have another online shop?" and I was like "wuh-- huh" and they asked "your art is really good, I'm assuming you sell it somewhere right? you've probably sold your stuff at conventions before? what do you sell? charms? prints?" and I was like "HUH? ME? HUH??? I don't sell anything--" and they were all like "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T SELL YOUR ART???" and my confidence in my art SKYROCKETED 😳😳😳 I hadn't felt that good about my art in a whole year. They even offered to help me figure out how to sell stuff online. I would LOVE to try selling some acrylic charms since I already know how to make those!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
And!!!! bro thank you SO much for complimenting how I draw expressions, that means a LOT to me :D I think that's what I spend the most time focusing on. When I'm sketching, I will completely bullshit the body and the background and smack some hearts and sparkles onto it and call it a day, but from the shoulders up, I try to make the facial features as accurate as possible and I especially love to make the expressions look... uh, expressive haha!! happy!!! and the fact that you NOTICED THAT??? makes my heart go bumpbumpbumpbumpbump 💞💞💞💞💞💞 !!! especially Starscream, I try to make him look like he's feeling genuinely happy/safe in my drawings ❤
Sending YOU love from my little corner of the universe!!!! Thank you again for giving me such a lovely message!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖💖

Personal question: would you be comfortable sharing some old art vs new art comparison over the years of you drawing? It's very inspiring to see how much people have improved and how far they've come.
Sure! If anyone ever wondered how much I worked on my main sona.. Here's realllyyy old art of him. The first drawing if I recall- made during my 2018-2019 big depresso after I hadn't drawn for almost a year if you count in between months.
Tumblr media
This art is considerably worse than drawings I made before late 2018, but I went through a lot so you could say I experienced pretty bad muscle memory loss. It was part of my recovery and learning to care for myself. I didn't draw much during late 2018 and early 2019
Here's some of the most recent work of him:
Tumblr media
As you probably can tell his design changed a lot. I used to draw hair really weird and wild, too. I've gotten used to making art with 3D aid.
Tumblr media
This is art of my OC Asriel in 2019, I was really struggling a lot with finding my style again. This may be before I started leaning more on 3D, all though I can't tell. This might be drawn with Terawell Design Doll 3D pose as a thumbnail. (note; I pose stuff myself or adjust pre-made poses.) As you can see, 3D doesn't make your art look better, you need to actually understand anatomy somewhat to make it work.
Tumblr media
This is my most recent drawing of Asriel. (All though this is technicly Asriel as ''PENDRA'' My coloring style has changed a lot, but I do have a lot of variety when it comes to rendering techniques.
Tumblr media
I drew mostly traditional during my depression, which also were my more finished artworks at the time. (I'm not going in depth on my depression itself.)
Last time I drew Tsuki was in 2022, but you can see there's a massive difference in style, and how I draw hair.
Tumblr media
I don't really use the above rendering anymore because it became exhausting though.
(I just realized all examples I've given are blonde OCs lol.)
Tumblr media
Mizuki early 2020!
Tumblr media
The redraw in 2022 (I think it may have been late 2022?) She got buff!!!
Anyway I hope this helps people who feel like their stuff hasn't changed much. Changes can be gradual, like 2020 looks similar to 2019, but the facial structure has changed while the rendering hasn't changed much. Then around 2021-2022 my style started to really form specific noticeable traits that I still really like today.
I'm really happy with my style atm. I like how I draw faces. I could still do better on expressions though- Most of my characters aren't super expressive due their personalities. As for rendering, thats often subject to change. I like a mix of soft shade with cell-shading feels. But comic-y Style.

Group Project
For the group project we were given a character brief written by another team, the brief was about a Koala, Frank, who was burned in an Australian bushfire which caused his leg to be amputated resulting in a wooden leg, and his sidekick, Boris, who is an old sentient hat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My first concepts for frank was very sketchy and made him look very fluffy i was going for a pencil drawn children's book look but I felt he looked very messy. I did a few different designs for Boris the hat before settling on a shape that didn't look tiny on franks head and also had enough space to add a face to it. Finally I designed the facial expression which I wanted to be a large smile I show his cheerful fun personality, and I removed the dark grey arms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I decided to smooth Frank out using the pen tool to get some nice clean lines, but I also wanted to keep frank looking fluffy, so using a reference image I found from a children's book and the brush tool, I incorporated the same style of untethered lines for fur. I also kept the colours loose to give a painted look that i've drawn an outline on top of. Finally I redrew the hat using the pen tool and changed the angle and made it slightly bigger so when I added Boris's face I could add more detail.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Boris's face was designed to make him look aged so I gave him large brows, stubble, a stern expression, and a shadow to kind of give him a head shape. Finally I added some texture and shadows to make him look more hand drawn almost crayon looking. Im really happy with how this came out, I feel it emulated children's book style and stayed cute and fun.
Tumblr media
This is all of our drawings lined up together in mobile game, animation, and children's book art style. We were able to communicate quite well and so all of our drawings look the same.
Revised version
After handing our drawings to the team that wrote the brief they sent back some edits for us to make. Mainly to change the pose to running, and for me to make Boris's face look older and to contrast Frank's
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time I started with the pen tool and decided where to add the fur pieces. Since I had all the elements already, it did not take me long to colour and add elements such as the the hat and face. The face is the same but I redrew the mouth to be smaller to give him a more determined smirk/grin. I also added eyebrows to add to the expression.
Tumblr media
Lastly I redrew Boris's face and changed the colour to be a darker shade so he stands out a bit more. I changed the mouth to be grumpier, lowered the eyebrows, added detail around the eyes to show age, and made a more realistic stubble. Then I redrew the textures and shadows so now the art style matches again and i'm done. Im super happy with how this came out and that I was able to keep the art style the same as I was worried I wouldn't be able to do it again.

Comic anon again,. I’m, not sure how to say this or even if I should but, Please don’t put yourself down like that.
I understand if you feel you don’t have any advice but “other amazing artists” makes it sound like you don’t consider yourself one. Maybe I’m just over-thinking it, but.
I ask you because your blog makes me happy. I ask you because you’re a kind and informative person behind all the submas work. Because I trust you and your opinions and I know you better than some of the other artists here,, I just feel better able to connect with you. I feel understood.
So I hope you don’t think of yourself as less of an artist than others,, that breaks my heart. And thank you for showing me your references tag, sometimes a good collection like that helps a lot.
Tumblr media
Oh, geez, anon, thank you so much! I'm sorry if you thought I was putting myself down - I was more confused because I haven't actually done longer-form comics with Submas, and I haven't drawn a proper comic in ages! I used to do it more often, but I've gotten so busy that the most I have time for is the short sequential things I post on my art blog. In general, my real-life job as an archivist keeps me busy so I don't get to work on comics the way I did when I was younger because I'm full-time now!
So in that case, here's some stuff I learned when doing webcomics when I was younger and had something resembling spare time:
Starting small is important to get the hang of things. I didn't do longer stories at first - just things that would only take a few panels to tell, so I could get the hang of things. Four-panel gag comics are great to learn from for this.
Always warm up before you draw anything! It'll keep your hand and arm from cramping. Also, make sure you stay hydrated and move every so often!
Somewhere in my references tag that I linked you to are some tutorials on designing panels, framing the characters (rule of threes is super important), and things like that.
Sometimes when I'm trying to get the hang of drawing a new character I do entire pages of just different facial expressions for them. It's fun, it's good practice, and sometimes that can give you ideas to work from, too!
For one-shot comics, the best source for ideas has always been my actual life. Library patron says something weird to me? Now a passenger has said something bizarre to Conductor on the train and he's trying to tell his co-workers about the weird conversation afterwards and wheezing with laughter over it. Strange experience in NYC? Redraw it with Unova characters.
If you're stuck, it's okay to practice by tracing things so you can get an idea of how to move your hands - just don't steal someone else's art, obviously, but for practice this helps you get some muscle memory! And of course, references are your friends! The majority of my selfies are actually me trying to pose and get facial expressions right so I can draw them.
I hope this is a better answer, anon, and I really appreciate that you care about me and don't want me selling myself short! That means a lot, thank you!

@strangermask Elemental Team Up: Gravity (19)
Before we get down to this I would like to first say that yay I'm done with my Grade 8 Music Theory Exam so expect more posts soon.
I'd do at least 5 character designs by Sep 12.
Some context: This is a Tournament of Elements - Hunger Games AU inspired by 'The Tournament', who's author is orphaned. I'm taking direct inspiration from that and continuing to write because man that concept was so good.
In book 3, for theraputic reasons, Kai's doing a (scrap) book for all the people he knows. Juni would have been 2 pages, but I got lazy and the schedule was't kind. I'll add some objects and finish the 2 other sketches to represent her in the Lore Book on ao3 when we get to there.
But for now, I'm happy with the design. I don't like the background, might change it to something more papery with the shots being more cut out.
{Transcript /w Author Notes}
Title:
Juni Pradesh, 32 (I honestly didn't know whether to include her last name or not, because Juni may not have shared it. I also wasn't sure her age, but she's 28-32)
Element: Gravity, subset of Earth. (I've this complex elemental system drawn up, you'll learn more in the lore book)
Sketch of her breaking down for the firts time. (Juni punched Kai in the face for being a LIAR!)
Juni is an amazing fighter, even though when I first met her, she was in the kitchen mass producing rations. She's been taking care of Lloyd before she joined in the fight.
Her use of 'gravity' relies heavily on mass. Through our time working together, I figured that the more she changes the mass of an object, the faster she can do it. (And more as well, but she has to be careful not to accidentally create black holes).
(Juni is from Bengalese-Indian origins and her name means 'love')
A shot from one of our elemental propos-> (Juni represented the Gravity Canyon)
A sketch of her moves during training. I still can't believe how large her staff had gotten! (i found inspiration for Juni's weapon of choice from the original Monkey King. You can see the staff being shrunk as well, look at her ear in the 'happy' expression)
She's mute, and won't tell us why. She's been born into a Kabuki for all I know. (Chen preferred fairer women, so Juni was spared from other horrors the Kabuki had faced. However, she was still trained in traditional dancing when Chen wanted something more exotic and fun.)
Exasperated? I can't tell... (Juni is more reserved, and her facial covering isn't helping. So Kai took some pictures during his time in the resistance.)
Some pictures I took.
Her dream is to be a surgeon. (With more training, experience, and knowledge, she could resize tumours, do plastic surgery without the plastic, etc. When the rebellion is over, she might have just survived in order to do just that. )

"Comfort characters are a special are a special breed of characters to me. They're the ones that make any day better, that make me laugh openly, that make me fall in love with their personality. One of the characters that I rely on for comfort that 90% of my friends identify with me is Denki Kaminari."
Soo me talking about my love of this character is really nothing new. I've done it a couple of times on my blog defending his character in the series canon. I want to do something more specific with this one though. I want to talk about what I look for in a comfort character and why Kaminari is my favorite comfort character in all of anime.
In order for me to find comfort in anything, it has to make me laugh. That's just the way that my brain works. If something makes me laugh I'll automatically love it forever. There is just something so heartwarming about idiots that can make me laugh. I get into the way that they're usually drawn happy, cute, and smiling or with adorable facial expressions. To me, most of the facial expressions that I love on the show are given to Denki my baby. I love so many of his faces that can either be moods or just be so adorably sweet. The first time that went stunned stupid I laughed so hard that I cried for a solid two minutes afterwards. It's my favorite running joke in the entire show. Getting to see that cheaply drawn face followed by Kyle Phillips adorable "yeh's" never fail to make me laugh.
The comfort character's personality is another huge thing for me. They have to be lovable, sometimes flirty, sometimes just plain happy, and I have to be able to want to hang out with them if I was a character in the show. Most of my friends tease me that I'd either date Denki or just be his best friend because I just love him that much. There was something in that bright smile and precious nature that drew me in automatically. While my favorite comfort characters are debatable between him and Sero and for comfort character month I eventually chose Tape Spider-Man that was only because I couldn't get the Denki edit to work with me otherwise he would've been in that slot. To me, Denki is just so full of life. He's everything that's good and pure in the show for the most part. He's what keeps me coming back for more as the seasons go on despite the fact that sometimes I take long breaks.
Comfort characters are something that is so important to me. Denki is something that I wanted to spend the day with. This is where I'm going to defend him against the critics. I really, really hate the toxic MHA fans out there. I've interacted with a good chunk of them over the years because of my love of my favorite lightning goofball. There was something unique about his personality that combined with his character design. When I first saw him he both made me laugh and smile within a matter of a few minutes. He became such an important to my life from that first cute and sweet sentence. There is just something inside of me that loves goofballs. This has always been the case for me ever since I was a kid. They compel me to fall even deeper in love with them every time that I see them. It's why my Haikyuu obsession was so disastrous and lethal to my health. Goofballs became such a big part of how I defined myself as a person. They're the type that I always tell people that I fawn over the most above all else. I think that they also helped me come into my own as a woman in a funny way. They became one of the things that I relied on the most. My crutch away from the rest of the world. Denki Kaminari became one of my best friends over the last four years that I've been watching My Hero Academia. I don't know where I would be without his impact on my life.

Penned Feelings (Jun)
Tumblr media
Title: Penned Feelings
Paring: Jun x reader
Genre: Fluff
Word count: 1518
Writer: Whattodowithkpop [Lio]
A/N: A request for Jun Friend Stan from the soulmate au. Sorry it's much later than the others, I hope you still like it! Also, I did some research, but if there is inaccuracies please let me know and I will fix it right away!
*****
Jun looks down at his arm, a blank canvas that had been blank his entire life. It seems odd to be bothered by something like that, but traditionally, the forearm carries the words that you hear when you first meet your soulmate. It wasn’t completely unheard of for someone not to have a soulmate, therefore not having any words to be marked with. However, for Jun it didn’t feel right. He wanted to be with someone, he wanted so desperately to have a soulmate he could spend the rest of his life with. He hoped there was some type of mistake, so he hoped his true soulmate would find him soon. He had a habit of saying outlandish things to strangers in the hopes that his odd words were written on their forearm and that they were his soulmate. He hadn't had much luck so far, but he wasn't giving up.
~
It was spring time. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom as they swayed with the wind. Jun was at the park taking full advantage of the beautiful spring day. He enjoyed sitting at the park, he thoroughly loved watching the dogs that were regular visitors at the park. He may have also enjoyed seeing a certain frequenter that had said dogs. Jun noticed her for the first time a couple days ago, playing with a small pack of dogs, different sizes and breeds. She would play fetch with the majority of them, but she had a few that would lay at her feet as the others chased the toys to bring back to her.
Jun tried hard not to get his hopes up, but he felt drawn to her in an unexplainable way. He wanted to walk up to her and introduce himself, but for once, he was too nervous. He kept glancing at her the first day, trying to build up the courage to go up to her, but before he knew it, she was leashing the dogs and heading towards the exit. Jun cursed himself in his head, beating himself up for missing his opportunity.
However, his hope returned the next day when, at the same park, she returned with another pack of dogs. Some were familiar, others were new, but she threw the toys similar to how she had yesterday and again, some stayed at her feet whilst the others ran after the toy. Jun watched her, his nerves sky rocketing. He stood up to walk up to her to start a conversation, but retreated when she glanced at him and gave him a wave. He waved back, but he walked past her, leaving the park as fast as he had arrived.
He ended up going home, cursing himself once more as he ran his fingers through his hair. He was determined to say one thing to her, to throw caution to the wind and maybe find someone who had his words etched into their skin. He decided tomorrow would be the day.
That is where we are now, the cherry blossoms overhead as the light breeze made for a peaceful atmosphere. She was here, a mixture of dogs from the previous two days, playing catch and resting with the dogs at her feet in between throws.
Jun's hands were shaking as he approaches her, his mind only on one thought. 'Just say her dogs are cute and ask if you can pet one.' It was full proof, casual and not awkward, plus unique enough if it was written on her arm it would be unmistakable. She notices him coming closer, smiling and waving to him as he nears her.
Once he is within ear shot his mouth opens and words fumble out faster than he can think them.
"You're cute. Can I pet?" Jun says confidently as he points to one of the dogs at her feet.
His face twists into horror as he realizes his words, stammering to explain what he actually meant to say. The woman laughs, nodding her head as she gestures to the dogs, inviting him to pet them. Jun's face felt like it was on fire, but he kneels down to pet the white shepherd that was asleep on her foot.
The silence wasn't uncomfortable, but Jun hopes she would say something, anything, so it would distract him from his heartbeat reaching his eardrums. He sees a phone come into his view, letters typed out in a note.
'You're cute too.'
Jun's heart stops momentarily as he reads the words and notices the smile on her lips.
"I'm sorry, I just got nervous..." Jun admits as he continues to pet the puppies around him. "I meant to say your dogs were cute."
She laughs as she types on her phone again. Jun watches her thumbs move across the screen, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion as to why she used her phone to communicate. She hands him her phone again.
'It made my day, I'm a little sad it was meant for the dogs :). I hope it's okay I use texting?'
"Of course that's fine!" Jun nods. "You're cute too, I just didn't want to sound creepy on first meeting..."
'It was a very cute introduction. I have to say the context of those words make a lot more sense now that I've heard them.'
Jun looks from her phone to her, his head tilted. He watches as she rolls up her sleeve, his face showing excitement as she reveals the black letters decorating her arm. Jun reads the words carefully, the exact words he had said to her just moments ago. He squeals, making her laugh as he holds his hand over his mouth to keep from waking the dogs around him.
He calms himself before looking back at her. Her eyes were on his empty forearm, making him frown.
“I don’t have any words written on my arm.” He explains as he hold his arm out to her, panicking when she wraps her fingers around his arm to inspect it closer.
She pulls out her phone again and typed away before handing the phone to Jun. He notices this time she doesn’t watch his reaction like she had previously. Her eyes were downward as she distracted herself with one of the dogs by her side.
'I have selective mutism.'
Jun looks to her, his face showing his understanding of the situation now.
"Selective?"
She nods, avoiding his eyes as she types again.
‘I want to speak, but with new people I can’t, no matter how bad I want to.’
Jun nods in understand. "I'm just so happy I found you." He admits as he does his best to control himself so he doesn't hug her out of happiness. "I have always worried I didn't have a soulmate because I never had words, but I am so happy I found you."
Her eyes welled up with tears, but she pushed them away, not wanting to cry in front of him. She held out her hand, asking for his to which he obliged. She pulled out a pen, touching it against Jun's arm where her words should be. She writes out a number, finishing it off with the words 'you're cute' and a little heart.
Jun accidentally let out a squeal, but cleared his throat to cover it, she laughs as she stands, collecting the dogs around her.
'I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow?'
"Yes, you'll see me tomorrow."
~
It had been a year since she moved in with Jun. She was able to communicate with him really, he started to pick up on her facial expression and body language. He found enjoyment in the smallest things from her, like her soft snores, her laugh, her humming. He wanted to hear her voice, but he still got to hear her and he loved every sound he heard from her.
He was just waking up one morning, stretching and rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He checks his arm, seeing words that she often wrote on his arm in the morning. His heart leaps at the nickname she often left on her messages.
'Good morning, Sweetheart.'
He steps out of bed, hearing her footsteps approach their bedroom. She enters the room with a big smile on her face, Jun tilting his head in confusion. She gestures to her arm, making Jun smile.
"Good morning." He giggles.
"Good morning, sweetheart."
Jun freezes, his eyes widening as he watches his girlfriend's mouth close before forming a smile.
"What?" Jun squeaks out, his heart palpitating and his throat going dry.
"Good morning Junhee." His girlfriend repeats, her voice traveling through the small room as it falls pleasantly on his ears.
He stands and walks towards her. His hands grasp her cheeks, his eyes glassy from the tears that rested agains his brown eyes. Her eyes mimic his as she laughs quietly.
"I love you." He breathes, his voice meek.
"I love you too." She whispers.
Jun laughs happily before kissing her, repeating those words over and over to her as he left multiple kisses on her face.

first of all, i wonder how they chose the members for the cover. but what i wanna talk about is my preference order for each of the girls in this cover.
momo, i get why they chose her, she's the main dancer. i think she understands and embodies this type of concept the best, she's good for dark, mature, sensual, she has the gaze (and that hair is doing wonders for her, i'm so mad i look bad with bangs so i can't get the momo hair.) her movements are really fluid, and even though i think she's more focused on sexy than elegant, she still has plenty of elegance and could really get in her element with move. this is just a speculation of mine, but i think her cover would be more taemin-like if there wasn't an audience. like i am almost convinced she feels herself a lot more when she's alone in the practice room. of course, momo and taemin have very different approaches to their artistry (imo) and i think an audience cages momo in, her dance is becoming more "performative" so to speak - i don't quite know how to say it. it's like she's doing it more for them than for herself, while taemin feeds off an audience in a way i've never seen someone do. he's performing for the public, too, but it's a lot more personal, yet not intimate. he's giving himself off on a plate, but voluntarily. most girl groups, as i see it, are just being "fed on" without them really wanting to.
second, i prefer chaeyoung (she's the blonde one - i don't know if you know their names or are familiar with twice.) now, arguably, mina is the better dancer, but chaeyoung brings something to this performance that i'm really drawn to. i would describe her style in this stage as chic. she seems almost cheeky, like "i'm sexy and i know it" but in a more subtle way. i don't think she knows quite how to work her facial expressions for this type of concept yet, she's pretty stiff here. but she has moments, and i've seen what she can do in other stages with a simple eyebrow lift. i really like chaeyoung - out of all the twice members, she seems the most attached to music as an art form and not just something you do as an idol (kinda like rose from blackpink). chaeyoung is also heavily involved with writing lyrics for twice and recently started co-producing, i think. there are some idols who understand the craft in its depth and there are others who don't as much, and i see chaeyoung as one of the former.
my third favorite would be mina (the ponytail one). i have a very mixed perspective towards this girl. as a dancer, i'm not really attracted to her style. she doesn't extend her movements as much as she could, she doesn't take up a lot of space while dancing, she's a little confined. i think she's one of those female idols that's being just "fed on" when she doesn't want it to be that way. she also took a 6-month break starting from july 2019 due to her anxiety; being an idol is a harsh job. but speaking strictly of this cover, in terms of concept embodiment, she's the second best after momo imo. she knows what she's singing about, she knows the way she's being watched. now that i think about it, she might understand it even more than momo, but it's the difference in dancing abilities and style that ranks them differently for me.
and last, dahyun (the blonde with the long hair). admittedly she's the most ill-fit for this stage, and i'm really curious why they chose her for it. i like dahyun, i do, and i think she's a joy to watch in twice, but here, it just doesn't go well. she's happy, she's smiley, she's too twice-y for move. i honestly think nayeon would have fitted better here, but that's just my two cents.
if you're taking the time to read all this, thank you, i just really love this cover and had no one to share all my feels about it till now.
this is has some very astute observations, thank you for sending it in!!! please come back soon and share more of your feelings about things, i would love to hear them even if i know nothing about the group!!
i don't know if you've read my post where i talk about move (i'm going to assume probably, but it was a while ago so i'll link it for anyone who hasn't), but you are absolutely spot on in pointing out the difference between how taemin engages with an audience and how twice (in this cover) engages with an audience. part of the power in taemin's performances is the double complicity; he is just as much a participant in the objectification of himself as the audience is. i wouldn't say that it's an aggression (it's not quite that strong, for move at least), but he is taking an active role in engaging the audience to look at him. it's an invitation to consume extended by his own hand, willingly. this is very different from how a lot of female idols are perceived, because although there is somewhat of a complicity there by nature of being a performer, there are significantly higher, more restrictive, and more exploitative standards on them. they are very much being fed on in a more unequitable way. move is complex in that way, and although i'm still right in my observation that women cover move better than men do, the footing that you have to meet the choreography at is that you want to be consumed. you're correct in noting that a few of them seem uncomfortable/don't know what to do with that notion; it probably pushes up against some of the ingrained sense of propriety that has been trained into them. i suspect there is a lot lower percentage of female idols that feel comfortable or even want to put themselves on display like this than we would assume.
my logical assumption would be that they chose the members based on who was interested in doing the cover, main/lead dancers, and at least one visual, but i know nothing about the positions in twice so i can't verify if this is at all right. it may also be based on who was available, sometimes it's just scheduling logistics.

(Echee post) Emma Watson says J.K Rowling's quote about Hermione ending up with Harry was taken out of context and it was a joke
Posted March 6, 2014
From mtv.com/news may 2014, "Watson also seemed somewhat pessimistic about the longevity of the popular pairing, sharing at the time, "I think there are fans out there who know that too and who wonder whether Ron would have really been able to make her happy." But Watson's tune may have changed just a bit, as the starlet took to the red carpet at tonight's Oscars (her first time attending the big show, if you can believe it) and told MTV's own Josh Horowitz, "It was a real shame, because the quote that she gave was completely taken out of context." Emma change her tune? Noooooo way she would never do that!! =)~ MTV left out the part where she said it was just a joke From ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com March 2014, "It was a real shame, because the quote that she gave was completely taken out of context, and if you read the whole interview it was completely not how it was framed but it was actually kind of a joke." You know the funny part is? This is the Wonderland Magazine that Emma herself guest edited and Emma herself conducted the interview with J.K. Rowling. How could it be possibly taken out of context or even be considered a joke? There is nothing in the writing that suggests it's a joke. Maybe if the interview was conducted by video you could see their facial expressions that would tip you off that they were joking. This is typical Emma changing her tune but only because the HP fandom lost their shit over fictional characters. JK and Emma are back tracking now. I don't really care because to me it's a book made into a movie but this is Emma deceiving others as usual.
Actually I read the entire interview and what is being taken out of context and where is the punch line? Here is the part of the interview with JK about Hermione ending up with harry instead of Ron. From ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com Feb 2014 Emma: I thought we should discuss Hermione... I'm sure you've heard this a million times but now that you have written the books, do you have a new perspective on how you relate to Hermione and the relationship you have with her or had with her? JK: I know that Hermione is incredibly recognizable to a lot of readers and yet you don't see a lot of Hermione's in film or on TV except to be laughed at. I mean that the intense, clever, in some ways not terribly self-aware, girl is rarely the heroine and I really wanted her to be the heroine. She is part of me, although she is not wholly me. I think that is how I might have appeared to people when I was younger, but that is not really how I was inside. What I will say is that I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment. That's how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione with Ron. Emma: Ah. JK: I know, I'm sorry, I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I'm absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for reasons of credibility. Am I breaking people's hearts by saying this? I hope not. Emma: I don't know. I think there are fans out there who know that too and who wonder whether Ron would have really been able to make her happy. JK: Yes exactly. Emma: And vice versa. JK: It was a young relationship. I think the attraction itself is plausible but the combative side of it... I'm not sure you could have got over that in an adult relationship, there was too much fundamental incompatibility. I can't believe we are saying all of this – this is Potter heresy! Emma: I know, it is heresy. JK: In some ways Hermione and Harry are a better fit and I'll tell you something very strange. When I wrote Hallows, I felt this quite strongly when I had Hermione and Harry together in the tent! I hadn't told [Steve] Kloves that and when he wrote the script he felt exactly the same thing at exactly the same point. Emma: That is just so interesting because when I was doing the scene I said to David [Heyman]: "This isn't in the book, she didn't write this". I'm not sure I am comfortable insinuating something however subtle it is! JK: Yes, but David and Steve – they felt what I felt when writing it. Emma: That is so strange. JK: And actually I liked that scene in the film, because it was articulating something I hadn't said but I had felt. I really liked it and I thought that it was right. I think you do feel the ghost of what could have been in that scene. Emma: It's a really haunting scene. It's funny because it really divided people. Some people loved that scene and some people really didn't. JK: Yes, some people utterly hated it. But that is true of so many really good scenes in books and films; they evoke that strong positive/negative feeling. I was fine with it, I liked it. Emma: I remember really loving shooting those scenes that don't have any dialogue, where you are just kind of trying to express a moment in time and a feeling without saying anything. It was just Dan and I spontaneously sort of trying to convey an idea and it was really fun. JK: And you got it perfectly, you got perfectly the sort of mixture of awkwardness and genuine emotion, because it teeters on the edge of "what are we doing? Oh come on let's do it anyway", which I thought was just right for that time. Emma: I think it was just the sense that in the moment they needed to be together and be kids and raise each other's morale. JK: That is just it, you are so right. All this says something very powerful about the character of Hermione as well. Hermione was the one that
stuck with Harry all the way through that last installment, that very last part of the adventure. It wasn't Ron, which also says something very powerful about Ron. He was injured in a way, in his self-esteem, from the start of the series. He always knew he came second to fourth best, and then had to make friends with the hero of it all and that's a hell of a position to be in, eternally overshadowed. So Ron had to act out in that way at some point. But Hermione's always there for Harry. I remember you sent me a note after you read Hallows and before you started shooting, and said something about that, because it was Hermione's journey as much as Harry's at the end. Emma: I completely agree and the fact that they were true equals and the fact that she really said goodbye to her family makes it her sacrifice too. JK: Yes, her sacrifice was massive, completely. A very calculated act of bravery. That is not an 'in the moment' act of bravery where emotion carries you through, that is a deliberate choice. Emma: Exactly. I love Hermione. JK: I love her too. Oh, maybe she and Ron will be alright with a bit of counseling, you know. I wonder what happens at wizard marriage counseling? They'll probably be fine. He needs to work on his self-esteem issues and she needs to work on being a little less critical. Emma: I think it makes sense to me that Ron would make friends with the most famous wizard in the school because I think life presents to you over and over again your biggest and most painful fear – until you conquer it. It just keeps coming up. JK: That is so true, it has happened in my own life. The issue keeps coming up because you are drawn to it and you are putting yourself in front of it all the time. At a certain point you have to choose what to do about it and sometimes conquering it is choosing to say: I don't want that anymore, I'm going to stop walking up to you because there is nothing there for me. But yes, you're so right, that's very insightful! Ron's used to playing second fiddle. I think that's a comfortable role for him, but at a certain point he has to be his own man, doesn't he? Emma: Yes and until he does it is unresolved. It is unfinished business. So maybe life presented this to him enough times until he had to make a choice and become the man that Hermione needs. JK: Just like her creator, she has a real weakness for a funny man. These uptight girls, they do like them funny. Emma: They do like them funny, they need them funny. JK: It's such a relief from being so intense yourself – you need someone who takes life, or appears to take life, a little more light heartedly.

^This post made Ron cry, lol I really don't care who ended up with who because it's a movie. I lost no sleep over it or thought about it much until I read the quote of Emma changing her tune as MTV pointed out. I will say this. In the Half Blood Prince when Ron was in the Hospital after mistakenly consuming a love potion meant for Harry there was an exchange between Hermione and Lavender Brown where Hermione said, "I've always found him interesting" meaning Ron. There was also that scene in DH2 where Hermione said she couldn't destroy the horocrux and it took Ron to coach her up to do it. There was that scene after that where they were looking for Harry using the marauders map and Ron remembered what Hermione told him about the room of requirement not being on the map and she was surprised he remembered. Then there was the Order of the Phoenix when Ron tricked Malfoy and the rest of them (with a spell of which I forget) and they got away while Hermione and Harry lead Umbridge into the Forrest. When Hermione came back she was impressed by him. I think Ron and Hermione would be just fine if they were real. They actually compliment each other by being total opposites. I'm sure true Potter fans have better examples for Ron and Hermione. Btw Emma was about Ron and Hermione for years and years. I'd post the quotes but I think true Potter fans know this to be true so there would be no argument there. It's something me and Emma fans probably agree on. I think hell just froze over. As for what Emma said about Ron making Hermione happy and stuff. In my opinion she's purely speaking from her own taste in men since she goes for the Viktor Krum's (Matt Janney/Tom Ducker) and Cormac McLaggen's (Will Adamowicz/Jay Barrymore). Emma is more of  mix of Sam (Perks) and Nicki (TBR) than she was ever Hermione. Emma would never date a Ron Weasley in real life. It's beneath her and there would be a reality gap between them since Emma lives in her own head and is out of touch with normal people. So really that statement is a full on Emmione moment where she's doing her thinking for a fictional character that is totally different from "the real Emma Watson". I've said this numerous times. If Hermione were real she would not think too kindly of Emma. Shy and introverted post is coming one of these days. I keep on saying that but it is. I put this post together in 15 minutes. I've been working on the other one for two weeks on and off by procrastinating with it mostly. It's not that complicated I'm just being lazy getting all the photos and quotes together I need. And while were on this shipping business
Tumblr media
She supposedly interviewed JGL in Wonderland Magazine but it was not formatted like her other Interviews where she talked just as much as the person she was interviewing so this leads to believe she actually didn’t interview JGL. It was a straight Q&A without it reading like a conversation between two people in the same room like the others. And JGL has done Wonderland a few times in the past so I don’t think this was Emma’s request. Then they presented together at the Oscars. Coincidence or more Hollywood smoke and mirrors? Fans are shipping (weirdo movement) these two and it was all for show. Ok I’m going to join this weirdo movement of shipping! JGL and Dan forever!!

The bachelor tony stark edition visual novel update #001
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alright, super rough head shot time for my The Bachelor: Tony Stark Edition visual novel. Peter and pepper are not contestants, if that wasn't super clear, but they are important. Primarily these are for quick reference if my internet shuts down and for practice getting the feel for people I've never drawn before (and I actually haven't drawn ANY of the MCU cast before, so it was an adventure). I also did most of them today, as I wanted to have at least the basics down before I got into the serious drawing in October.
I haven't drawn this much in one day since I was 13 and obsessively drawing yami bakura kissing people. I have never done this many characters in so short of time, and I keep having to remind myself of the basics after getting rusty; where to put the ears, how the jawline effects the facial composition, how less is more in these first sketches so that shading can do its job with as few obstructions as possible.
But I'm happy with the overall look of most of them; bucky and strange were the easiest, as they have the most distinctive features (Eggs-Benedict Cucumberpatch as wizard!himself, and Sebby being my mad low key crush for a few years there).
Rhodey and Thor were for sure the hardest, as the reference pictures I kept finding for Rhodey were of him at frankly obnoxious angles, and Thor was hard because I've never really studied his face extensively except in his first movie, and a hell of a lot has changed since then.
(And yes, I know bruce is 2012 bruce, but I like curly hair so we're going with it. See also; Bucky's manbun)
Tomorrow I hope to do the super rough layouts for as many backgrounds as I can feasibly manage, and/or some sketches of the outfits and poses and maybe expressions for some of the sprites/characters I'm going to do first. However, I'm a little burnt out from all these guys, so I may have to take the day off so I'm fresh on October 1st.
