Devotional for May 5th
Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”        I said, “Here I am. Send me.” — Isaiah 6:8
Insight
The more clearly Isaiah saw God, the more aware Isaiah became of his own powerlessness and inadequacy to do anything of lasting value without God. But he was willing to be God's spokesman.
Challenge
When God calls, will you also say, “Send me”?

"THE REASON WE WORSHIP"
If it’s one man I love and respect, it’s our former President Barack Obama. And I’ve come to discover, that when the President of the United States comes to speak, it’s a rare opportunity. So if you desire to be physically present when he shows up to speak, you better get there hours early because of the mass of people that will be there as well! Think about it, it’s hard to find a place to park,…

Verse of the Day 9-28-22
Verse of the Day 9-28-22
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? ”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8 Only after God had purified and prepared him spiritually was Isaiah commissioned, or given or a duty and the authority needed to perform that duty, as a prophet.1 This passage reminds us of the Great Commission Jesus gave his his followers before he left the earth…

God Adventure
My God Adventure where God once again proved to me that nothing is impossible with Him
I had a God Adventure yesterday and learned first hand how amazing of a Navigator God is. I had flown all day from 10am for 9 hours, two different flights. Both my flights, I had to find my way and I followed the signs and asked for help and was able to easily find my departure gates. My second flight touched down in France. It was 11pm my time and 6am their time and I was tired, which means I…

by Oswald Chambers | When we talk about the call of God, we often forget the most important thing, namely, the nature of Him who calls. There are many things calling each of us today. Some of these calls will be answered, and others will not even be heard. The call is the expression of the nature of the One who calls, and we can only recognize the...

Isaiah's outline of the steps to forgiveness
Isaiah’s outline of the steps to forgiveness
Today we will be looking at the core Bible principle of forgiveness, and how we have the ability, through faith in Messiah, to gain the privilege of being reconciled with our Maker when we recognize that our lives are not in alignment with his purposes. To accomplish this, we must repent of those things that are outside of his will for us. Isaiah 55:7 – Let wicked people abandon their ways. Let…

Miracles Still Happen
And, the wait is worth it. Over the multi-years of my life, I have faced insurmountable times of worry, defeat, dealt with problems that couldn’t be solved, health issues that seemed hopeless, and many things that I couldn’t understand. A miracle was needed and sometimes it felt like it was too little, too late, and throwing in the towel was my only recourse. Maybe that’s you today. You…

"THE BENEFITS OF FASTING"
WHY DO WE FAST? There are different kind of fasts. There are private fasts that you do privately: Matthew 6:16-18, “And whenever you are fasting, do not look gloomy and sour and dreary like the hypocrites, for they put on a dismal countenance, that their fasting may be apparent to and seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full already. But when you fast, perfume your head…
