[T]he Jericho road is a dangerous road. I remember when Mrs. King and I were first in Jerusalem. We rented a car and drove from Jerusalem down to Jericho. And as soon as we got on that road, I said to my wife, "I can see why Jesus used this as the setting for his parable." It's a winding, meandering road. It's really conducive for ambushing. You start out in Jerusalem, which is about 1200 miles—or rather 1200 feet above sea level. And by the time you get down to Jericho, fifteen or twenty minutes later, you're about 2200 feet below sea level. That's a dangerous road. In the days of Jesus it came to be known as the "Bloody Pass." And you know, it's possible that the priest and the Levite looked over that man on the ground and wondered if the robbers were still around. Or it's possible that they felt that the man on the ground was merely faking. And he was acting like he had been robbed and hurt, in order to seize them over there, lure them there for quick and easy seizure. And so the first question that the priest asked—the first question that the Levite asked was, "If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?" But then the Good Samaritan came by. And he reversed the question: "If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?" That's the question before you tonight. Not, "If I stop to help the sanitation workers, what will happen to my job. Not, "If I stop to help the sanitation workers what will happen to all of the hours that I usually spend in my office every day and every week as a pastor?" The question is not, "If I stop to help this man in need, what will happen to me?" The question is, "If I do not stop to help the sanitation workers, what will happen to them?" That's the question. Let us rise up tonight with a greater readiness. Let us stand with a greater determination. And let us move on in these powerful days, these days of challenge to make America what it ought to be. We have an opportunity to make America a better nation. And I want to thank God, once more, for allowing me to be here with you.
—Martin Luther King Jr, "I've Been to the Mountaintop" speech delivered at the Mason Temple (Church of God in Christ Headquarters), Memphis, Tennessee, Apr 3, 1968

closed starter for @exmcrtis (bella) location: their place
Jerico's road to recovery was a lot better than other people's; the truth of the matter was though that he had a very hard time not picking at the scabs on his face while knowing full well it would scar if he didn't. So he often tried to preoccupy his hands with something else.
"I've been practicing my lines." He proudly declared as Bella walked into the room, his thighs a mess of poke and stick attempts. "I think I can finally say I can give us our engagement slash wedding bands, if you trust me enough by now." He had purposefully been avoiding the topic of the gossip column when they were together, not wanting her to know about it but he was also just playing dumb by thinking Val or someone else wouldn't have told her by now.

After the Tapes AU Chapter 2 ft @voidwritesstuff Jerico!
As the afternoon sets in and Lucas tossed all the gear into the van.He checks his list of what he packed. While he did that Desmond was still in bed asleep."Alright that's everything, what else am I forgetting...."Lucas paused before a devious smile crawled on his face.He goes to his drumkit in his room and loudly plays Reveille.Desmond jumps out of the bed and falls face first into the floor."Rise in shine maggot get into the uniform I nabbed from the hospital and let's go it's gonna be awhile till we get there so we can make a pit stop at Homa Mart.I'll be waiting in the van."He walks off.Desmond gets up and takes a quick shower. He quickly slips on the lightblue shirt, black pants and white labcoat. The labcoat belong to Rosemary,it still smells of a sweet plum perfume which calmed the anxious man."Hey Lucas,I'm ready what do you think?" Lucas exchanged a small smile."You look like Rosemary's twin,I think she would be proud of what your doing.Helping the people of Milton Haven."Desmond nods as he hops in the passenger side of the van carefully. The ride to the hospital was gonna be long. But first a pit stop to Homa Mart. And from where the cabin was it was a long ways away.
The silence was unbereable after a while, all that could be heard was the sound of the city, the humm of the van and the noise of the stray pebble that ocassionally scraped against the vehicle's wheel.
Lucas pats the steering wheel a few times. Not nervous, just bored. Theres a slight rythm to his patting, not a discernible tune or song, just vaguely musical, it reminded Him of his drums,he should really play more often.
Regardless,he shakes his head and snaps out of his thoughts. The Seat creaks and groans as he shifts his weight, his eyes flicker briefly to the little green vynil charm tucked in the pocket of the Van's sun visor, that was currently in use.
Then, something came to his mind. Desmond watches as a big smile appears on his Friends face, its loopy but warm, followed by a few chuckles that fall from his lips. --Did I tell you I have a girlfriend?-- he asked casually.
--No, I did not-- The other Man answered, fixing his glasses-- how did that came about?
--Well...--Lucas starts, tilting his head to the side briefly as if trying to recall something-- it all started in a record store
《♡♡♡♡♡♡》
It was a warm summer day, skies clear with a few clouds scattered in the blue mantle above. And with the gentle breeze blowing past, Lucas enters the record store with a list tucked into his flannel's pocket.
The record store was quaint, a mix of retro architecture And modern aspects like tvs with MTV on, music blares from some speakers scattered around the place. Music in a record store, it was like fish in an aquarium, you couldnt expect less.
Lucas, always a retro Man in music taste, goes Straight into the vynil section. He inspects some of the records, checking his list for the albums he wants to get, "kind of blue" by Miles Davis, ella fitzgerald, "Abbey road" by The Beatles. Hes about to reach for AC/DC's "Dirty Deeds,Done Dirty cheap" another hand beats him to it.
Their eyes meet, A beautiful forest green eyes that look at him surprised and flustered. They belong to a young woman, probably a college student judging by the Messenger bag she was carrying alongside the binder with a few stickers on it that was resting under one of her arms. --Ah, sorry-- they say pulling the vynil close to her chest, not quite wanting to hand the album over.
--Ah its nothin'-- he replied scratching the back of his neck-- you beated me to it, its fair play
They chuckle and nodd--Thanks, its uh...a gift for my dad-- they explain--you saved my Bacon, honestly
"Oh" Lucas thought, feeling a little relieved he let them Keep it-- oh thats good then, please do Keep It
They nodded and Turned to the boxes with the vynils-- maybe theres another one for you? Let me help you check, its only fair
--Thanks,I still gotta get a few --Lucas commented checking his list, sort of showing it to his companion, who reads it and thinks for a moment.
--The power of love by huey Lewis and the news-- they muse Reading one of the items of a list-- good choice, I loved it in back to the future
--Thats a great movie too,the last one of the triology was good, cant Belive its been seven years since it came out--He added.
--Yeah...-- then they seemed to realize that its been seven years since the movie came out. They blink for a moment and add-- Dios, has it been that long?!
--Yeah-- Lucas chuckled skimming through the vynyls-- the passage of time-- he adds and gives them a soft, warm look with an apologetic smile-- you get used to it kiddo, you have your whole life ahead of you
--Yeah, I sort of get freaked out about that...feels weird,Like a haze you know? Years pass by fast and the mix
--Advice? Just take it easy-- he says Gently, using the same tone Alphonso used with him when he was scared or overwhelmed-- easier said than done, I know. But, live your life and make memories, thats the things that matter, dont see the passage of time as a pressure, but rather an opportunity, yknow?
They nodd, pulling out the single of Huey Lewis and The News-- here it is-- their hand hands it to him-- 'n thanks for the advice
--Thank you-- Lucas emphasized the *you* part-- always happy to help
Theres a brief silence as the person beside him check for other albums. A few people pass by talking about the discharge of a soldier because of insubordination, Lucas thought he recognized the story but he wasnt sure. Something about disobeying a direct order that wouldve caused a lot more harm than good.
--Damn suits-- he breathed hoping his companion wouldnt hear-- even if youre in the right ,the moment youre a liability or question them youre thrown out like a wasted battery...
They steal a few glances to the Man beside them at the comment, the way his hands grip tight and mutter something about knowing how that felt like. Their gaze scan his eyes, the way he smiles when he finds one of the albums hes looking for, forgetting the unpleseant situation he just Recalde. In their eyes, He was really, really handsome-- Im jerico,by the way -- they comment trying to light up the mood.
It takes Lucas by surprise, he turns to them and says--Nice to meet you,'M Lucas
--Nice to meet you too-- jerico replied, handing him another album. "Rage against the machine" by the band with the same name as the album-- here, good choice too. A rebel recognizes another -- they wink and he chuckles, his cheeks warming up.
He takes it and says-- What gave it away?
They tap their chest two times, like a rythm without a discernible melody-- The dogtags, my adoptive dad is ex-military so I know a few things, and the way you talked about that soldier that got discharged...the rage in your voice...the impotence, you sounded pretty anti authority
Lucas chuckled--Nothing gets past you,huh?
Jeri laughs nervously--Yeah, I'm very observant...hope you dont mind
--Not really, its fun to talk with ya-- he admitted a little flustered-- I have everythin' I need but id love to Keep talkin'
--Ah damn...I cant I have to get this for tonight...its the birthday party-- they confess with a bit of sadness-- But..we can see eachother later?
He smiled and nodded--Alright, I like that idea
《♡♡♡♡♡♡》
--'n then I asked them for their number and took 'em out the for a date the Next day, a coffee n' a walk in the Park--Lucas explained-- And then I met her again at your Office, they're a patient of yours...guess the world is very small huh?
Desmond did a double take, they couldnt be...-- Wait...Jerico Castro? Green eyes, Brown hair...under dye...-- he gestured at the lower part of his head as if he had short hair like jerico did.
--nice voice and very talented? Yeah-- he finished what his friend trailed off,his voice soft and warm, adoration and love dripping from his tone as his body relaxed.
--Where are they now? -- the other Man asked concerned
--Safe,out for the summer. Another country...Argentina maybe?--He hesitated-- Havent been able to reach 'em...but they knew about mayer so I think they know calling is dangerous for me...and for them...-- his peace is short lived as his fists grip the steering wheel. Anger, fear, impotence, all mixed in one glass--if those bastards even lay a finger on her purdy hair...ill--
Desmond Puts a hand on his Friends shoulder, patting it--They wont,Jerico is safe. You know their parents dont you?
--A lil-- he admitted, relaxing slightly-- Raymonds a tough one
--He is. And a good father too. They are safe and youll see 'em again-- He promised-- you two sound very in love,im happy for you
He chuckled and nodded, relaxing once more--Thanks, doc
Desmond deeply signs, and rubs his neck."I mean I knew a local girl.her name was Magdalena. She would always make it right on time for her appointments and well she was pretty." Desmond took a deep breath, the plum perfume on the lab coat was calming."She had these beautiful midnight blue eyes, midnight black hair and a nice soft accent, and I never could forget she always worn a pastel that would show her skin or her eyes more....But that was in the past." He looked out the window with a melancholy expression on his face.Lucas pulled the van into the Homa Mart parking lot."She must have been a kind hearted and very heartbroken to have to let you go." Lucas's expression was a worried one."She had to,I was so caught up with my own problems she did the right thing. She wrote me a letter and that was it.I never heard from her again." Desmond's voice shook as the memories flooded back.Lucas pulls him into a hug."We all loose something, and sometimes it's good to let go and let things be a thing of the past." Desmond quietly sobs into the worried ex military man's arm."Don't cause a scene now Desmond, deep breaths and let's go pack up snacks and stuff for the road and remember,it's ok to cry." Desmond gave him a are you serious look as he wipes his face."I wasn't crying I got something in my eye."He hops out of the van.
As they both browsed through and got what they wanted Dave stands infrom of Desmond."Hey Desmond,I want to apologize for last time, remember the while I'll kill you threat,I msorry about that I was upset loosing....you know." Desmond was tensed up and waiting for Dave to kick his ass,but he quickly relaxed."Hey It's ok,we all loose someone that we love or was close too,Virginiawas a good patient and a friend." Dave nodded and quickly remember."Yeah nice small chat but I forgot I let the new trainee alone with the forklift and I got to go,stay chill Desmond." Dave ran off in a hurry.Desmond shivered at the word chill,it gave him a bad memory of being locked in a freezer til the mannequin showed up with the key."Hey Desmond found anything yet." Lucas had five packs of family sized beef jerky, kid cuisines, sugar snacks, juice pouches, and a case of beer."Lucas what is all of that!?" Desmond was baffled at what he brought."Hey some of this is for me and the kid cuisines is for the kid,you rold me hes getting sick and tired of sea food and probably hospital food so why not start him off small with these." He had a large grin."Fine,I guess." Desmond got afew snacks and a case of Dr pepper. As they payed for their items and packed it to the van with help from Sammy and Inez and thanked them both,Desmondclutched his head."Doc you ok?" Lucas quickly ran over."Yeah the lights was giving me a headache I get alittle dizzy when in stores." Lucas helps Desmond I to the passenger seat."I did get some stuff for headaches if you want one,or maybe go back to sleep,if I get tired I can pull over and rest for a small bit." Desmond nodded, putting his seat seatbelt on as he drifts off to sleep."just take deep breaths,I'll wake you as soon as we get there." Lucas started up the van and headed on the road to the hospital, which having a shortcut drawn on a map they should get their before nightfall for it was around 9:57pm and would probably arrive around 11pm.Lucas was also quietly eating some beef jerky and taking small sips from a juice pouch."Huh I didn't know this was grape flavored juice,it's kinda interesting." He talked to himself quietly so he didn't disturb the sleeping Doc.
Allen's Poem:
"I watch as the moon chats along with the stars and watch as the shadows lurk at my door.I wish for hope to walk in soon and not that fanged bastered who wants me gone.If I was on a boat as of now and I was the captain.I'd be a bad one indeed.Steering myself into the darkness and crashing the ship in the dark and fall into the dark vast ocean down into the bottom of the sea.Watching the stars and moon laugh at me as I'm dragged deeper and deeper to my demise."
The heart monitor beeps steadily as Allen trys not to flinch. The male nurse was at his bedside. He injected some kind of liquid into his iv bag and left.Allen wished for them to get here quickly so he can eat actually food and not be fed from a feeding tube."please hurry guys,I don't know how long I can fake still being in a Comatose state, the male nurse is catching on." Allen closed his eyes and went back to sleep.
(I'm gonna cry if it doesn't post)

Both share a laugh in agreement, Tendo caresses the back of jeri's hand with his thumb-- hows ol' Chuck doing?
--Hes still going to his check ups, luckily hes raditation free and though he pouts like a child he doesnt miss any of his therapy sessions or medical appointments
--i said it once and ill say it again, itll always baffle me how you managed to not only make the hansens get along, but finally learn some emotionall inteligence
--hey Man,Takes one to know one-- she added-- I went down that same road, with some differences of course
--Between you and me? I think they are just very soft for you, but im glad those two are gettin' some help -- he said taking a sip from his coffee.
-- tell me about it, how they survived up to this Point is a mystery for the ages
He snickered-- nature finds a way!-- jerico laughed at the Jurassic Park reference, squeezing his hand.
--And what about you? How are you feeling?
Tendo snorts into his coffee, being taken off guard-- I uhm...not the most stressed ive been but stressed...
--Maybe you should indulge in some self care?
He looked away nervously-- ah its karma isnt it? I make fun of Herc and now im in the same spot as he is...-- tendo sighs-- its just--
--I have a lot of work to do and its very important-- both say at the same time.
--What?! -- he exclaims.
--Heard it from herc time and time again -- jerico explained sitting on the Mans lap, hands caressing his face-- you havent been taking care of yourself huh?
--airing out all of my dirty rags huh?
She giggled and said-- take some deep breaths for me, okay? Close your eyes
He obliged and started to breathe in deeply, focusing on the feeling of her hands smoothing over his face to his neck.
Tendo lets out a soft exhale and relaxes his body-- better?
--Yeah. thanks, Doll
--whenever you need me, finish this and we can go to bed
Jerico ended falling asleep against him, and he carried her to his bedroom. Maybe he could sleep some more before returning to work.

Pitch Presentation
Finals blog 1
Tumblr media
This week has been notably long enough due to the level of exertion of our efforts. The highlight was probably our pitch presentation, which served as a midterm examination, showcasing the course of our new venture: a flood warning system. It was the culmination of weeks of brainstorming, thorough preparation, and adjustments, all compacted into a well-structured presentation. The anticipation and laborious preparation building up to the presentation were exhausting each day, but the experience proved important for our development as aspiring engineers.
Reflecting on the week, we realized the scope of our innovative efforts. The pitch presentation was more than just an academic exercise; it was a practical step toward making our idea a reality. We had hurdles along the road, ranging from fine-tuning our product concept to refining our public speaking skills. However, each hurdle served as a learning opportunity, strengthening our commitment to our startup's success and expanding our understanding of the innovative process.
In the end, the pace of this week acted as a catalyst for both personal and professional development. It gave us a better grasp of our startup's potential and helped us choose where our focus should be in the future. Despite the hurdles, presenting our ideas to our instructor was quite rewarding. As we optimize our business model, we will rely on the insights gained from this week's testing, enhancing our drive to make our flood warning system a reality.

Meditation: If God is all-loving and compassionate, then why is there so much suffering and evil in this world? Many agnostics refuse to believe in God because of this seemingly imponderable problem. If God is love then evil and suffering must be eliminated in all its forms. What is God's answer to this human dilemma? Jesus' parable about a highway robbery gives us a helpful hint. Jesus told this dramatic story in response to a devout Jew who wanted to understand how to apply God's great commandment of love to his everyday life circumstances. In so many words this religious-minded Jew said: "I want to love God as best as I can and I want to love my neighbor as well. But how do I know that I am fulfilling my duty to love my neighbor as myself?"
Jesus must have smiled when he heard this man challenge him to explain one's duty towards their neighbor. For the Jewish believer the law of love was plain and simple: "treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself." The real issue for this believer was the correct definition of who is "my neighbor". He understood "neighbor" to mean one's fellow Jew who belonged to the same covenant which God made with the people of Israel. Up to a certain point, Jesus agreed with this sincere expert but, at the same time, he challenged him to see that God's view of neighbor went far beyond his narrow definition.
God's love and mercy extends to all
Jesus told a parable to show how wide God's love and mercy is towards every fellow human being. Jesus' story of a brutal highway robbery was all too familiar to his audience. The road from Jerusalem to Jericho went through a narrow winding valley surrounded by steep rocky cliffs. Many wealthy Jews from Jerusalem had winter homes in Jerico. This narrow highway was dangerous and notorious for its robbers who could easily ambush their victim and escape into the hills. No one in his right mind would think of traveling through this dangerous highway alone. It was far safer to travel with others for protection and defense.
Our prejudice gets in the way of mercy
So why did the religious leaders refuse to give any help when they saw a half-dead victim lying by the roadside? Didn't they recognize that this victim was their neighbor? And why did a Samaritan, an outsider who was despised by the Jews, treat this victim with special care at his own expense as he would care for his own family? Who was the real neighbor who showed brotherly compassion and mercy? Jesus makes the supposed villain, the despised Samaritan, the merciful one as an example for the status conscious Jews. Why didn't the priest and Levite stop to help? The priest probably didn't want to risk the possibility of ritual impurity. His piety got in the way of charity. The Levite approached close to the victim, but stopped short of actually helping him. Perhaps he feared that bandits were using a decoy to ambush him. The Levite put personal safety ahead of saving his neighbor.
God expects us to be merciful as he is merciful
What does Jesus' story tell us about true love for one's neighbor? First, we must be willing to help even if others brought trouble on themselves through their own fault or negligence. Second, our love and concern to help others in need must be practical. Good intentions and showing pity, or emphathizing with others, are not enough. And lastly, our love for others must be as wide and as inclusive as God's love. God excludes no one from his care and concern. God's love is unconditional. So we must be ready to do good to others for their sake, just as God is good to us.
Jesus not only taught God's way of love, he also showed how far God was willing to go to share in our suffering and to restore us to wholeness of life and happiness. Jesus overcame sin, suffering, and death through his victory on the cross. His death brought us freedom from slavery to sin and the promise of everlasting life with God. He willingly shared in our suffering to bring us to the source of true healing and freedom from sin and oppression. True compassion not only identifies and emphathises with the one who is in pain, but takes that pain on oneself in order to bring freedom and restoration.
The cross shows us God's perfect love and forgiveness
Jesus truly identified with our plight, and he took the burden of our sinful condition upon himself. He showed us the depths of God's love and compassion, by sharing in our suffering and by offering his life as an atoning sacrifice for our sins upon the cross. His suffering is redemptive because it brings us healing and restoration and the fulness of eternal life. God offers us true freedom from every form of oppression, sin, and suffering. And that way is through the cross of Jesus Christ. Are you ready to embrace the cross of Christ, to suffer for his sake, and to lay down your life out of love for your neighbor?
"Lord Jesus, may your love always be the foundation of my life. Free me from every fear and selfish-concern that I may freely give myself in loving service to others, even to the point of laying my life down for their sake."
The following reflection is from One Bread, One Body courtesy of Presentation Ministries © 2022.
the danger of falling away
“I am amazed that you are so soon deserting Him Who called you in accord with His gracious design in Christ, and are going over to another gospel.” —Galatians 1:6
St. Paul was amazed that the Galatian Christians were so soon deserting the Lord. Paul warned Christians: “Do not be haughty...but fearful. If God did not spare the natural branches (the Jewish people), He will certainly not spare you” (Rm 11:20, 21). “My fear is that, just as the serpent seduced Eve by his cunning, your thoughts may be corrupted and you may fall away from your sincere and complete devotion to Christ” (2 Cor 11:3). “I tell you all this so that no one may delude you with specious arguments” (Col 2:4). Paul told St. Timothy to warn certain people “against teaching false doctrines” (1 Tm 1:3). Paul prophesied to the Thessalonians that there would be a great apostasy before the end of the world (2 Thes 2:3). The writer of Hebrews warned: “Take care, my brothers, lest any of you have an evil and unfaithful spirit and fall away from the living God” (Heb 3:12). The writer of 2 Peter commanded: “Be solicitous to make your call and election permanent, brothers; surely those who do so will never be lost” (2 Pt 1:10). After lamenting that the church in Ephesus had lost its first love (Rv 2:4), St. John told the church in Sardis: “Wake up, and strengthen what remains before it dies” (Rv 3:2).
“For all these reasons, let anyone who thinks he is standing upright watch out lest he fall!” (1 Cor 10:12) “When men have fled a polluted world by recognizing the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and then are caught up and overcome in pollution once more, their last condition is worse than their first” (2 Pt 2:20). Don’t fall away from the best condition into the worst. By God’s grace, persevere in your life in Christ.
Prayer:  Father, send the Holy Spirit to confirm me in my faith.
Promise:  “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” —Lk 10:27
Praise:  Jesus healed young Larry of severe asthma.

TAROT REVIEW-ISH
Tumblr media
Rachel True, the actress who played Rochelle in the 1996 film The Craft also designed a tarot deck. The character of Rochelle being the most under-rated, under-appreciated, genuine and amazing character in the movie, I of course purchased the tarot cards. The deck is called the True Heart Intuitive Tarot. What I enjoy about the design of this deck is that the illustrations keep the traditional Rider Waite design but is then modernised and inclusive of the BIPOC community.
In speaking about the deck Rachel True stated “Back in the day, there weren’t any diverse decks at all; they were all very anglo. There’s a line in the movie Blacula, which goes, “What is a man if he cannot see his own reflection?” It was really a statement on race relations at the time. As in, what is a Black person in this country if we cannot see our own reflection anywhere; in magazines or on television? That is partially why I wanted to create such a multicultural deck; I wanted to see a true representation of our world.”
Tumblr media
Image: True Heart Intuitive Tarot by Rachel True
I recently listened to a podcast from @thefatfeministwitch, titled Confident Cartomancy, in which the presenter speaks about a similar plight in seeking a body positive tarot deck that does not just use fat women on token cards, but is actually designed for and inspired by fat women. The presenter further spoke about the importance of choosing a tarot deck that reflects our own lives, physical image and spiritual beliefs.
Below I have included a short list of inclusive tarot decks. If you know of any others please share in the comments. I would really like to find a disability-inclusive tarot. Although some of the below decks have a few images of people with disabilities they are not fully inspired and designed with disability inclusion at the forefront. If anyone knows of any, please leave a comment.
The tarot list so far:
Neo Tarot: A Fresh Approach to Self Care, Healing & Empowerment by Jerico Manybur Gender inclusive
The Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle Includes people of colour
Hip Chick Tarot by Maria Storm Includes people of colour, body positive and disability inclusive
Pride Tarot: A Collaborative Deck by US Games (45 different artist) LGBTIA+ inspired
Next World Tarot by Cristy C. Road Includes people of colour, body positive and LGBT+ and gender inclusive
Fifth Sprit Tarot by Charlie Claire Burgess Queer inspired, gender inclusive, body positive, people of colour, non-binary

I remember the day when i was a kid we go my uncle house five hours away on the road and I gradually felt dizzy and nauseous, my cousin's were vomiting , others wanted to go the CR but we didn’t go through there so others vomited in the van as well as I vomited too, and then when we got to our Uncle house we quickly went to the CR and then we took out vomited that’s the memory I well never forget, I remember when I was in grade 2 I had a classmate who was called by ma’am to read in front of us and then our classmate didn’t stand up who said ma’am why don’t you stand up my classmate said it’s not allowed ma’am said why it’s not allowed our classmate is not allowed because I defecate ma’am all our classmates laughed and ma’am and sent the classmate home immediately, since then I started studying I remember I didn’t run away from class I started not attending and I was grade 3 to grade 10 but that was before then I studied at Notre Dame I don’t do that without attending and I work assignments I am already participating in school activities that really changed me after I started studying at Notre Dame my new friends already knew me, even though we were of different religious, they were kind to me, but not everyone become my friend but it was ok and at least others, they were kind to me, I remember my first crush, he was beautiful, kind and helpful, so I feel in love with him, especially since we had a difficult assignment I asked him to help me. He did not refuse to help me. Then I told him what I wanted, he told me it’s not allowed because were Young I said I’ll wait he said don’t just look for someone else I said I want you he said he doesn’t want to so I didn’t force him again, that’s very funny ( ha, ha, ha, ha, ) then mu sister was born in CR and she is the only one who is different from us because she is dark and she is the only in race who is dark until she grows up little we call her black very black very black so she cried complaining to mama but mama I just laughed that day we had so much fun, I remember then that I was circumcised 10 years ago I wanted to be circumcised because I wanted to be full- fledged man as well as my friends because here in our area if you are not circumcised you will be bullied so we had the strength of side to be circumcised but there was already someone to be circumcised so we almost withdraw because he shouted Arai, Arai he said but we forced ourselves to be circumcised so we wouldn’t be bullies anymore then we home to walk then we held our shorts so we wouldn’t stick then it was so ugly because everyone we passed in the house was looking at us and the others were laughing ha, ha, ha, I said its ok and at least circumcised ha, ha, ha, ha, I remember I was in grade 9 then the four of us come home to our house and we were all boys we passed a house with a dog then we called the dog aww then the dog heard the chasing us we run at the same time we were different he left his bag too nun we were far away, he didn’t chase us anymore, we laughed at our friend ( ha, ha, ha, ha, ) because we were afraid he left his bag and we planned to go back to his bag but the dog was still watching carefully so we didn’t take the bag he took we, as that disappeared, I remember then I was 7 years old we could catch fish in the water but that water was stinky because that’s where the buffalo came from but we didn’t think at first because we wanted to catch the fish because we were happy there but we just. we caught it and sold it we got 90 pesos which was so much fun because we already had money then we quickly bought food when you opened again we searched again but we didn't have much fish so we had no intention of selling it again we just threw it away we never fished aagai.

Lovely Life by allieallie
A breeze of cold air puffed across a young woman standing on a balcony holding letter tightly she read:
Dearest Lovely,
I am sorry to leave you this fine day, I am sorry I haven't told you about my condition earlier. I didn't want to see your sad face every time we saw each other. All I wanted was to live the rest of my days with you.
I remember the day we first went up on stage together with our first-ever song. I played the guitar and you were singing, with the most angel-like voice, that is when I fell head over heels for you. Every time you called my name, I had a desire to hold you close and never let go.
All the memories we made, please cherish them. I shall say my last goodbye,
Please let the other bandmates know I said goodbye.
With lots of love,
Ryan.
A tear dropping with every word. Grief filled the clouds, turning them grey. As the light rain starts, masking the tears, the lady walks back into the house only to cry some more.
After that, she wouldn’t leave the house, nor answer the door. Feeling depressed, she lied on her bed. She lit a cigarette, although she had never done so before. As the days went by, her health started declining. Her angelic voice had disappeared, now replaced with a raspy, hoarse one. She waited for her death to approach.
***
An old lady jerks up from her sleep, taking deep uncontrollable breaths. Her heart ached from the nightmare. As she got out of the bed, she accidentally knocked the lamp off of the side table, making a loud thud. Moments later the elderly woman saw the door slowly creaking open, followed by a voice. Thinking no-one was home, she listened nervously.
-Miss Lovely! is everything okay?
Relieved that it was only her nurse, Nila, she replied:
-Oh sorry dear, I accidentally knocked off the lamp.
The girl walks over and picks up the object in question and she asks:
-Is everything alright? You seem a bit upset.
-Oh, don't worry, I just had another silly dream. Everything is alright- Miss Lovely smiled, attempting to avoid the subject.
- Is it? You can tell me, I know you aren’t telling the truth.
- Alright I suppose I should. I- - Miss Lovely sighed - I had an unpleasant dream about my past. Years ago, I was- - She gulped, but couldn’t bring herself to continue, tears already running down her face.
- Oh, I am so sorry miss Lovely - Nila replied feeling guilty for making the old lady reminisce such a thing.- I didn't know.
- It's not your fault, it's now in the past anyway. -The elderly woman said forcing a smile to lighten up the mood.
They sat in silence before, a knock at the front door was heard. Nila left to check who it was and Lovely stood up to get changed. A few minutes later she entered the living room and saw someone familiar sitting on the couch. The stranger glimpsed at her, noticing someone walk in, and stood up excitedly after realizing who it was:
-Lovely! Long time no see! How you been!?
-Tylor is that you?- Lovely said, in surprise.
-Yes, indeed. Is something the matter?
-Well, you look older.- Lovely said with a mocking tone.
-I could say the same to you.
Tylor used to play the bass guitar in Lovely’s band, called Moon. His signature move was the slap and a killer smile. However, the band did not last long, and they split with everyone going their merry way. He later became a successful businessman by selling his bass solo.
-I have not seen the whole town yet, maybe you could show me around? - Tylor asked as he had only arrived the day before.
-Sorry, I cannot at the moment. I have duties to tackle. - Lovely said, already drained by the idea of working.
- Oh! I can help you out and in return, you could show me around. - Tylor suggested enthusiastically.
The duties involved collecting apples and mushrooms from the forest nearby. While they were on the way, Lovely pulled out her photo album, which she had brought along, and recalled the fun memories they had while the band hadn’t yet disbanded.
-Hey, I remember that! - Tylor exclaimed, pointing at a photograph - This was our first ever performance. I remember sliding to the front of the stage on my knees to look cool and fell off!- Tylor chuckled -You guys were so mad, and later we all laughed about it.
Lovely chuckled, flipping through more pages until they opened the page where a letter was. Lovely's eyes dropped as her bright smile disappeared. Only with a glimpse of the page, Tylor knew it was about Ryan. Ryan was a former bandmate and Lovely's significant other who passed 42 years ago. Ryan wrote the letter and placed it in her memory book before passing away from cancer. Lovely never knew he was sick so it was devastating news to her and even now she cries remembering him.
The two former bandmates walk along a path, collecting mushrooms when Lovely sees a large patch of daisies not far from where they stood so she decides to explore it. She walks over with Tylor still following, telling her about recent events in his life when they stumble upon an old fountain, which was still running. There was a bench right next to it, so they sat down for a break. As lovely places, the open photo album next to her on the bench, Ryan’s letter gets carried away by the wind and into the fountain. Tylor noticing this exclaims:
-The letter! Lovely quick take it out!
Lovely instantly turns around and sees what he had been shouting about and reaches in. Tylor also trying to retrieve the letter, tries to grab it but they both fall in.
Lovely breaking the water surface takes a deep breath but the letter was nowhere to be found. She shouts at Tylor to see if he got it but instead sees a much younger version of him. He was getting out, his clothing all wet turns to her, and is in complete awe. She has long brown locks, clear pale skin, and much taller than she used to be. The same could be said for him. He has better posture, a skinnier face, and mid-length black hair.
-What happened to you? -Lovely says in surprise.
-What? Are we young again? - Tylor cries, touching his clear and unwrinkled face.
-Is this a dream? -The brunette questions, looking at her friend.
-I don’t know but we have to head back - He replies.
They both walk the usual route, but upon seeing the town their jaws drop. All of the new shops, roads, and buildings aren’t there. They kept looking around the town when they see a young and a very much alive Ryan walking towards them. He still had his curly blond hair and mesmerizing green eyes. Lovely couldn’t keep her emotion to herself so she ran at him and hugged him to make sure.
-You’re here!? - She exclaimed, in happiness and confusion.
-Of course, I am. We were supposed to meet here. -Ryan says cluelessly while returning the hug.
-This can’t be real - Tylor says, rubbing his eyes. Ryan looking concerned at him.
- Why is it a surprise to you guys, was I supposed to be assassinated or something? - The blond jokes, but soon realized the others found it in poor taste so he laughed it off.
The bassist took Lovely by her arm and dragged her back to the fountain and Ryan followed in confusion. When they got to where the fountain was supposed to be they only saw the bench and Tylor noticed their clothes were no longer wet.
-What is this? Where’s the fountain? - He said in shock, looking over to the couple. Lovely had an ill face but didn’t let her boyfriend see it to avoid his concern.
-What do you mean? There was never a fountain here -Ryan explained still not understanding their weird behavior.
-We should get back. By the way, what day is it today?- The girl said breaking the silence.
-It’s October 2nd, why?
- 1976? - Tylor continued
- Um, yes. Are you guys feeling okay?- The boyfriend asks and remembers - Oh also I haven’t told you this yesterday but I got us a gig at Jerico’s. And we’re performing tonight!
-That’s awesome! - Lovely says in an excited voice.
Later that night after the performance Ryan and Lovely shared an intimate moment backstage, where he told her just how much he loved her and how much he wanted to live long enough to get old together. At that moment she realized how he was hinting at his sickness and she never bothered to give his words too much thought.
*-Ryan, I love you, no matter what happens in the future. - Lovely said holding back her tears as they embrace in a hug.*
The morning after she receives a call from Ryan’s mother telling her he passed away. She was so devastated at the news, even though she knew he would die that night. Her heart ached but she remembered the photo album and how he was supposed to slip the letter in. She rushed to her bookshelf and went through it, in hopes it was already there but she couldn’t find it. No matter how many times she checked, it wasn’t there. Out of the worry that she had done something different for history to go wrong she called Tylor and explained her frustration. He invited her over and they talked.
-It can’t be right! The letter must have been there - Lovely cried.
-Calm down, we’ll figure this out - Tylor said, reassuring her.
-The letter is real right? I had it for so many years it has to be. You saw it too right?-She exclaimed waiting for an answer, to make sure she wasn’t imagining all of this.
-Yes, It did exist - The bassist said, not being able to push out another word
-Are we in an alternate universe where he decided not to write the letter?-She questioned, to a point where she was driving herself insane.
-Lovely stop - He paused- I wrote the letter
-What? No, but I was sure it was Ryan. - She said with a sour expression - Why would you do that to me, lie for all these years? I thought you cared about me!
-I do and that’s why I wrote it. When I found out how much and how hard you’ve been grieving over him. It broke my heart. I was sad that he couldn’t say goodbye to you. So I dropped it off in your photo album while I was visiting a few days after. I wrote it so you wouldn’t think he didn’t love you -He said desperately trying to explain myself.
-He didn’t love me? - She whispered through the tears, with her lips trembling.
-What? That’s not what I said - He said, shaking his head.
-Yes it is! You said, “So you wouldn’t think he didn’t love you”!- She shouted, her face turning red.
-I didn’t mean it like that! You know he loved you. He said “I love you” to you every day, every chance he got! -He barked not being able to keep his temper.
Lovely stood up and left without a word and Tylor was left, regretting telling her about the letter. Now he had to prove to her that Ryan really did love her.
Two days later Ryan’s mother invites Tylor to their house for dinner because she knew he was one of Ryan’s best friends and that his death might have affected them in a bad way. After his arrival, he roams around the house looking for a bathroom and sees an office room. He walks in and sees a lone desk and chair.  He sits down on the office chair and looks around his table. He notices a drawer and opens it out of curiosity. It had a box inside it. Just as he does so Ryan’s mother walks in and Tylor jumps up from the chair.
-Oh, I knew you’d get lost - She says -The bathroom is actually that way -She points in a different direction.
-Thank you, I was just looking at this - Tylor says pulling the box out of the drawer
- I didn’t know Ryan was going to propose so soon. Did he tell you about the ring?- She asked, the smile never leaving her face.
-The ring?-He says in confusion but soon realizes she’s talking about an engagement one- Ah yes he did, he wanted to propose to Lovely, right? -He said in hopes that it was actually for Lovely and that he didn’t have a secret mistress who he loved more.
-Yes, what an amazing girl she is - She begins before she hears the kitchen timer ring- Ooh, sounds like dinner’s ready! Don’t forget to wash your hands- She continues and leaves.
Now that Tylor had sufficient evidence to prove to Lovely that Ryan truly loved her, he needed to get her to see it. He knew it was risky but he shoved the ring in his pocket anyway and went back to being a guest. After dinner, he came over to Lovely’s house and knocked on the door. She didn’t answer.
-Lovely, listen I know you can hear me. I have proof that he really loved you! - Tylor shouted loud enough for Lovely to hear him from her open window. She knew nothing could bring her mood back up but she decided to listen to him. She opened the door.
-What is it?- She said in a monotone voice.
-See this? It’s an engagement ring. He wanted to marry you - He said proudly.
-Why do you spend so much money on something you can’t fix! - She cried in disbelief, for him to go this far with a lie.
-I didn’t buy it. I found it at his house!- He exclaimed, trying to prove himself
-His mother is staying there, I visited her the other day. She would have told me! - She shouted.
-Fine just keep this, for me -He couldn’t do anything else so he gave up.
He handed her the ring box and waited for her to open it when he realized he didn’t actually check if there was anything inside. Lovely looked at it and opened waiting to be disappointed. Much to her surprise, it was nothing she ever expected, it wasn’t even a ring. It was a small rose gold chain necklace, which she mentioned she liked when she and Ryan went window shopping once. Her face lost the heavy expression which she had been wearing during the whole ordeal. Tylor still couldn’t see what was in the box, so he assumed it was empty; he waited to be shouted at or have the door slam against his face, instead he felt Lovely hug him. She held onto him.
-I’m sorry -She whispered, as Tylor hugged her back, not saying a word.
After letting go of each other, they walked back to the bench and sat down.
-I guess this is it -Lovely began- We relive our lives all over again.
-At least I know my Bass-solo is going to be a success -Tylor laughed and Lovely smiled to herself.
The sun was setting and they both sat in complete silence. Lovely looked down and noticed a small patch of daisies. She picked one up and rolled it’s stem with her fingers, inspecting it. “No matter how much I beat myself over him, he won’t come back. Learning to move on is part of growing. Instead of grieving over someone’s death, I shouldn't wait for mine. I should live my life to the fullest. That's what Ryan would have wanted for me. I should embrace and celebrate what others aren't fortunate enough to have for long ”.

Jerico and Nihlus
Tumblr media
Meeting someone at a bar is somewhat normal for him, meeting aliens on the other hand, even with him being a guest it feels odd and has him up on his haunches. His species was called kin to humans when they're bug like ancestors put them more on the same side as a yautja also known as predators and other bug faring species. He dosen't have it in him to correct someone though and Nihlus hasent thrown a punch to find out how tough an Alternian is.
VISUAL ATTRACTIVENESS: 💗
(purely aesthetic appreciation of looks)
He likes the marking on his face, of course the color red plays into it but anyone could prance around with the hue.
FRIENDSHIP LEVEL: 💗
(how close a friend they consider them)
Jerico is a bounty hunter and has a price on his head in some areas where he's from, ontop of being a bit of a mutant to his kind, he's very reluctant to befriend people.
SEXUAL DESIRE: 💗💗💗
It's the voice and the unapologetic flirting, things like that will have Jerico intrested in them enough to consider things of that nature. Though, he dosen't know much about turians, it would be one hell of a night that's for sure.
ROMANTIC INTENT: 💔
(hoping for a romantic relationship)
Romance is complicated for him, not that he dosen't invite it but it takes a lot of trust and time for him to go down that road. His blood mutation keeps him on his toes. Something he probably wont tell anyone right off the bat.

Lady In White Part 2
Based On: Supernatural
Characters: SisterReader, Sam, Dean
Warnings: Death, Angst, Fighting, Language
Word Count: 1300
part one... previous part, next part
Tumblr media
You sat in the passenger seat, staring angrily out the window. You were still pissed at Sam. You knew Dean would manage to get himself out of trouble, it just made you so angry that all Sam wanted to do was leave the two of you again.
Sam's phone vibrated on the center console, he lifted his hand to answer it, but you quickly snatched it before Sam could grab it.
“Hey!” Sam tried to grab the phone back but you smacked his hand away.
"Sammy?" Dean said through the phone.
You couldn't help but feel relieved when you heard Dean’s voice on the other line. "Dean, you're okay-"
"Yeah- Hey where are you guys?" Dean asked impatiently.
"Sam decided to that we were gonna keep hunting, I thought we should go get you but-"
Dean interrupted you again. "Okay good, how far are you from Constance's house?"
You couldn't help but feel a little hurt that Dean agreed with Sam. You sighed, of course he did. You were always the second choice. He always chose Sam before you, even after Sam had abandoned him.
"We're a few minutes away-" You replied, not bothering to try to hide the hurt in your voice.
Dean didn’t seem to notice, "Okay good, I'll meet you guys there. Oh, and tell Sam that Dad isn't in Jerico anymore,"
"How do you-" you trailed off realizing that Dean had hung up on you. You shut the phone off and slammed it down. "Dean will meet us at the house," you grumbled to Sam, "And he wants me to tell you that Dad left town,"
Sam nodded in response, his eyes drifting off the road as he looked over at you, “Y/N, I-“
"Sam!" you screamed, noticing a woman in the middle of the street.
"Shit," Sam exclaimed as yanked the wheel to the left, sending the Impala skidding off the side of the road. "Holy crap," he muttered, running his hand through his hair, "What the hell was that?"
"Take me home!"
You and Sam jumped, quickly turning your heads to see a dark haired woman in a dirty dress sitting in the back seat.
"Sam.... that-that's her,"
"Take me home!" she ordered again, more forcefully this time.
"No!" Sam snapped. You pulled at the door handle, but it didn’t budge. "Sam?" you said worriedly as you both struggled, frantically trying to get the doors open.
Suddenly, the Impala’s lights turned on and the engine started back up, the car slowly started rolling toward the house, "Sam stop the car!" you screamed.
"I can't!" he yelled back, "I'm not doing anything!" He yanked the keys out of the ignition and held them up to show you that the car that was know speeding towards the house wasn't his doing. Sam slammed his foot on the breaks, but they didn’t do anything.
You looked back to see Constance still sitting there, "Stop this!" you yelled and she didn't respond.
"You can't kill me," Sam snapped, "I've never cheated,"
The car skidded to a stop in front of the old house. The passenger door unlocked and flew open, an invisible force shoved you out of the car. You struggled to stand up, "Sam," you called as you ran up to the car.
The car door slammed shut as you tried to help your brother. You slammed your hand on the window, trying to distract the ghost and give Sam a chance to defend himself, but it was no use. Constance suddenly disappeared, quickly reappearing on top of Sam. She flickered in and out of view as she dug her nails into Sam's chest.
"Sam!" you screamed, trying to open the door to help him.
He yelled out in pain as she pushed her nails further into his chest, drawing blood, "I'm taking you home," Sam grunted as he slammed his foot on the gas pedal. The Impala took off, speeding towards the house.
"NOOO!" Dean yelled, sprinting towards the house from the street, "I swear Sam if you get a single scratch on Baby I'm going to kill you!"
You rolled your eyes, following him into the house. You jerked open the Impala's door, helping Sam out of the car. "Where'd she go?" he scanned what was left of the ancient room.
Suddenly, a desk shot across the room, pinning the three of you against the wall. You groaned in pain, barely noticing that Constance was back- and she was pissed.
Dean tried to shove the desk, but the invisible force keeping it there was too strong.
"Mommy?" you and your brothers looked towards the sound of children's voices.
Constance froze in shock, noticing the children as well.
"You've come home to us," they whispered as they appeared in front of her, reaching out to hug her.
Constance screamed, her body erupting in blue flames as she and her children disappeared. Sam and Dean quickly shoved the desk back as the force let it go.
"You guys okay?" Dean asked as he scanned the room, making sure Constance was gone for good.
"I think so," you said and Sam nodded in agreement.
"Good, now I won't feel too bad about kicking your ass for scratching up baby," Dean snapped as he punched Sam jokingly in the arm.
-
Dean had tried to convince Sam to stay with the two of you and not go back to Stanford. You hadn't said much, Sam didn't want to hunt and you didn't really want him around either, so it didn't bother you that he was going back to Stanford.
Sam swore that he’d call more and said his goodbyes to you and Dean as the Impala pulled up to the curb. Sam grabed his bag and climbed out, hesitating for a second.
"What's wrong?" Dean furrowed his brows.
"I-I'm not sure, something just feels off," Sam shrugged it off, "It's fine,"
Dean nodded, "Keep in touch Sam,"
Sam promised again, giving one last wave before he walked off.
You scoffed at his promise, he'd just forget about you again. You reached forward and turned up the radio, trying to put Sam and the sadness you felt by him leaving i the back of your mind. You frowned as the music faded in and out of static, "Dean?" you pointed to the radio, "There's something here,"
You and Dean shared a concerned look, quickly jumping out of the car and running to check on Sam in his apartment.
As you approached the apartment, you noticed the overwhelming amount of smoke in the air. You coughed, trying to get the thick air out of your lungs.
“Jess!” Sam screamed from inside the room. Dean quickly pushed in front of you, ordering you stay behind him. He ran to the door, pausing as he stared in horror at the scene in front of him. You stood behind him, eyes wide in terror.
“Jess-“ you whispered as you stood, your eyes frozen to the horrific sight on Sam’s girlfriend on the ceiling.
“Jess!” Sam screamed again, searching the room for anything he could use to help her.
Tears slipped down your cheeks as you realized she was gone. Dean snapped out of his shock, grabbing Sam and pulling him out of the burning room.
"NO!" Sam fought against his brother's grip, "Jess, no, no, no,"
"Sam-“ Dean choked back a sob, “It-It's too late. We have to go," Dean dragged Sam out in the hallway, grabbing your shoulder and pulling you back as well. “We have to go,”
You nodded silently, your heart breaking for Sam as his apple pie life burned to the ground.
“Jess, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry,” Sam repeated, his whispering turning into sobs as Dean led him back to the Impala.

Jerico drove down to her local grocery store, listening to some music on the radio, shes bopping at the rythm and smiling. She was having a pretty good day.
She soon found herself in the parking lot of the store, leaving her car there and entering the building.
Almost too concentrated on her grocery list, she almost doesnt recognize the song that was playing.
"Heatwaves" by glass animals.
She cleared her throat, that song brought back memories she didnt quite like remembering.
|| Sometimes, all I think about is you
Late nights in the middle of June
Heat waves been faking me out
Can't make you happier now
Sometimes, all I think about is you
Late nights in the middle of June
Heat waves been faking me out
Can't make you happier now||
Why did that song have to play?, she sighed, deciding to brave through her chores, as she puts food in her basket, a poster caught her attention.
"Homelander, hero of the USA".
Something inside of her wretched in pain while Reading that. She moved past it, knowing that even if they became Friends again. He wouldnt be able to make her happier now.
However, she wasnt the only one suffering from bad memories...
Homelander was back home after a long day of putting up the mask of the perfect Patriot, he changed and collapsed on the couch.
It had to be today of all days, he had very important things that needed to be done. And holding his stuff togheter was harder and harder as the day went on.
||Usually I put
Something on TV
So we never think
About you and me
But today I see
Our reflections
Clearly in Hollywood
Laying on the screen||
Wondering if TV could help clear his mind, he Turned on the television infront of him.
His mind goes quiet for a moment, but as peace settles in, its quickly swept away by a comedy sketch.
Its homelander fighting his (supposedly) worst enemy, Riot Girl, "the hero of the people". He flinches, hearing the cheesy puns and banter. But his cringe turns to anger, seeing the sketch mock Riot Girl, getting her character completly wrong.
He changes channels with a scowl.
The anger washes away, turning into sadness as John retreats to his mind for a moment.
|| You just need a better life than this
You need something I can never give
Fake water all across the road
It's gone now, the night has come, but
Sometimes, all I think about is you
Late nights in the middle of June
Heat waves been faking me out
Can't make you happier now ||
"She deserves so much better" homelander thought. "Something I can never give you.." his eyes flicker to the picture on the coffee table.
Its him and Jerico, during their youth, just teenagers. Hes giving her a big hug while she laughs happily. That smile is contagious as it finds its way his face.
If he remembers correctly, that summer afternoon, right as the sun was setting, they were up in Jeris roof, drinking soda and having fun.
《♡♡♡♡》
--So, John-- A fifteen year old Jerico said-- I thought today of all days was the one to ask you this
--Hmm? What is it?-- John asked.
--What do you think your superhero name would be?
--hmmm-- the boy stopped for a moment-- Homelander sounds cool! , how about you?
Jeri Drank from a can of soda as she looked at the setting sun, the golden Rays making her look absolutely beautiful. -- Remember that band I like? Riot Poison Girl?...I think Riot Girl sounds good
--Oh I like that so much!-- John said giving his friend a hug-- Homelander and Riot Girl deffend the citizens of the USA, fighting for their freedom and looking badass in the process!-- he shouted.
--Haha! You betcha!-- jerico exclaimed, her laughter dying down a bit, her voice turning softer-- hey John...I l-
《♡♡♡》
"I love You" thats what she said to him that day. Homelander sighed, turning off the TV.
It was already night, his daydream had taken up enough time.
As he goes to the kitchen he realizes, he forgot to get food.
Sighing loudly he thought about ordering something...but hes been doing that for a while, and hes going to fall for his comfort food.
Another painfull memory hit him. Jerico and him used to Cook back when they shared an appartment, just starting as official superheroes.
He wondered...if he could go visit her, its been a while since they saw eachother.
Grabbing a jacket he flew off his penthouse and down to the more residential, middle class part of the city.
There she was, cooking in her kitchen, she seemed to be dancing, he smiled, always the big personality she was.
He knocked on her Window, manking her jump a little,he chuckled at that.
--Fuckin' shit, John, you have the keys to my house, at least text-- she opened the big Window, letting him in.
--Last minute decision, Jer-- John said trying to fake a smile-- that smells wonderfull, watcha cooking?
--Some Argentine empanadas, feeling homesick...
--Man I havent had those in a while-- Lie. It was one of his comfort foods, in fact, he had those yesterday night, but nothing beats the one made by an actual Argentine.
-- Care to stay the night and eat here?-- Jeri asked
--if you dont mind..
-- 'sides-- her voice grew shier-- tomorrows your birthday...I know you have the day off
He looked at the calendar on the fridge, tomorrow was July 4th, he snorts-- I dont wanna bother...
What she wanted to say was "its never a bother when its you.." instead she said-- its not biggie, you can stay, its been a while since we celebrated your birthday togheter anyway
He let a small smile appear on his face, a genuine one-- yeah...why not
After dinner, they were hanging out on her couch watching some movies, hot chocolate in hand.
Jerico checked the clock, it was twelve pm-- Hey John
--Yeah?
--Happy birthday-- she said with a smile.
--heh, thanks-- hey! Where you going?-- He asked seeing jeri go to a shelf and Grab a small box.
It was wrapped with a baby blue paper with little dogs with different dog toys-- I know you like dogs so...
His heart shatters in millions of pieces, his lip quivers as he carefully unwraps the box.
Inside there was a baseball ball, signed by a famous player.
--Holy shit!-- He exclaimed-- where did you even get this?!
Jerico laughed-- I have my contacts
He doesnt think twice and hugs her, fighting back tears.
--You can cry, yknow that right?-- Jeri said-- let them flow, John
|| You can't fight it
You can't breathe
You say something so loving, but
Now I've got to let you go
You'll be better off in someone new
I don't wanna be alone
You know it hurts me too
You look so broken when you cry
One more and then I'll say goodbye..||
with that, tears flow down his cheeks, a genuine smile appearing on hus lips-- Youre the best...-- He choked.
She hugged him back, her embrace being warm, to him, they always felt like home.
He regained his composture moments later, smiling like an idiot-- Man, when was the last time I smiled this much?-- he asked to himself.
--heh, well, you deserve it...-- Jeri answered, trying to make it seem as if she didnt notice just how broken he looked when crying.
After the movie ended they went to sleep, they had no problem sharing a bed since they have been doing that since they lived togheter.
Jeri was fast asleep,a small smile on her face.
|| I just wonder what you're dreaming of
When you sleep and smile so comfortable
I just wish that I could give you that
That look that's perfectly un-sad
Sometimes, all I think about is you
Late nights in the middle of June
Heat waves been faking me out
Heat waves been faking me out ||
John was having a harder time falling asleep, he only pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, she looked so comfortable.
He wondered what she was dreaming of to seem that happy, he thought for a moment that it might be him, but his mind was quick to shut that thought down, after all...she didnt love him like that...did she?
He shook his head, hoping that he could give her that look so...unsad.
Sighing he closed his eyes, pulling her closer to his chest, caressing her hair, knowing these moments of calmness, domesticness, were little and far inbetween.
"This shouldnt be like that" his heart told him. "We should live this life. With her..."
"But our job? The publicity? The people loves us " his brain Argued.
His heart knew the answer. It was fake validation,he knew that well... the only love that mattered was hers, and it was slipping through his fingers.
The Next morning he woke up to a cake that said happy birthday, some fresh coffee and jeri singing happy birthday to him as soon as he was somewhat awake.
--This is better than whatever bullshit Vought had in mind...--John said munching down on his cake-- Vanilla cake, frosting...how do you remember what I like? Its been ages
--John, we've known eachother since pre-school, c'mon-- Jerico answered.
Homelander chuckled-- Heh, fair, fair, ...thank you-- he said shyly.
--hey...dont worry-- her smile made him melt, that coy, warm and cute smile.
He spent the rest of the day with her, lounging and doing nothing all day, this...this life felt nice.
John played videogames with his friend, had fun singing off key and dancing. He wanted this life so bad...
At night he returned home, that feeling of emptyness filling his chest. Why was he here when he felt whole with her.
Sighing he went Straight to bed. Tomorrow might better....but he knew that it wouldnt. Not when he was without her

Romanogers swirling thoughts
Tumblr media
Warning. This is going to be LONG.
After watching Infinity Wars, the Romangers little bonzai that was rooted in my head decided to take some miracle grow and become a huge Willow tree. I can’t seem to stop thinking about the Cap and Black Widow. They were just so damn awesome together in the few scenes they had. Now, I spent a lot of time pushing any OTP feelings down after Ultron. I felt like my Romanogers heart was crushed and didn’t want to go there again because it basically sucked seeing everything built up from the Winter Soldier completely ignored. It was downright disorienting how fast they turned things around in Ultron. Or maybe I was just short-sighted to see the B & N coming?
And it was so hard for me NOT to like those two crazy kids after TWS . Think about it, in the fiction world the signs (pitfalls) for romance were all there for viewers to pick up on in The Winter Soldier:
Quippy fast humor between the two
Revealing conversations on a road trip
Pretending to be a couple
Having to kiss to avoid detection
“Trust Conversation” while looking deep into each other’s eyes
Trying to setup the other person  with someone else (while ignoring your own feelings)
The Long Goodbye at the end
UST all over the place
The typical romance plot tropes were all over the place so of course so many of us were ready and willing to travel down the Romanogers road. It was practically paved for us! I mean that’s basically the plot of It Happened one Night  without the quirky ending where the Walls of Jerico fall! (If you haven’t watched It Happened one Night with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert then you gotta, it’s soooo good). And then came The Age of Ultron and everything was turned upside down. I was so confused where the Bruce & Nat relationship came from. There was not enough there in Avengers to even make me consider it. I thought it would be more Nat & Clint if anything. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner. What a great decision to replace him in the movie instead of Ed Norton. Everything just clicks with Mark and he is an adorable hunky dork. But if Joss Whedon had plans on going there to begin with, he needed to work harder to set it up, create the UST between the two. And it didn’t help that the Russo Brothers seemed to have a completely different plan altogether.
The disorientation didn’t abate with Civil War either. Because we had the weird (and I’m sticking to it!) and I mean WEIRD romance with Sharon Carter. Just….no. But then we also had gems like Natasha showing up at the funeral to be there for him AND turning to help Cap? Just like WTAF? What do you want me to feel? What do you want me to root for? Just tell me, because the back and forth is really confusing.
Which brings me to Infinity War, all that duo bad assery & the  Romanogers baby James theory which makes me fall happily down the rabbit hole. Now, I have my serious doubts that the Marvel Powers That Be would actually have this happen because they are intent ignoring any of the chemistry Natasha and Steve share and flub every other romantic storyline they roll out (Like what even happened to Thor, Jane Foster, and Lady Sif slight tension?). The only relationship that is on point is Tony and Pepper. But even so, it is definitely easy to go down the road of Romangers baby for a couple of reasons:
The clumsy attempt at bringing Natasha’s fertility into the movie series. Why do that? There was no reason for it. She could have easily told Bruce “We both have darkness in us”. Boom! That’s it. But instead we get a backstory of how she can’t have a baby so she’s a “monster” to explain why they’re compatible? Joss firmly decided to put it in there (for questionable reasons), but once it was said, it enters the brain and how we look at the character of Natasha Romanoff. Before Ultron not once did I look at Natasha and think of her as a mother or non-mother. She was just a kick ass female character. But afterwards, and with the debate that followed, it was hard to separate her from the concept of “motherhood”.
At the beginning of Infinity Wars Tony is talking to Pepper about dreaming of a baby and wondering if it’s prophetic. So it automatically starts off down a “Huh, an Avengers baby” road. And that conversation really seemed to come out of nowhere. Papa Stark has come a long way from the playboy he was in Iron Man. But right there in the beginning of the movie it sets up the idea of “baby” and it lingers there. Where are the filmmakers going with it? Is it something to just show Tony’s growth or was it put in there as a plot device to hint at the possible ending?
So I don’t think we’re too crazy for our brains going down that way. Whether intended or not, there is a path for it that was built. My only issue is that it feels a wee bit tainted because of that “monster” conversation with Bruce. Even if unintentionally, it set up motherhood almost as a “redemption” quality which is frankly annoying, because her redemption is more than that. Joss did such a disservice to the character by so clumsily inserting that line into the movie.  If by supreme miracle the Marvel PTB actually let there be a baby James Rogers, my god it would be pretty amazing, and it deserves not to wrapped up in the debate mess Joss created.
So those are the thoughts that have been swimming around my head, and I’m ready for the complete heartbreak that Avengers 4 will bring because knowing my luck with OTPs they’ll kill off our Cap (although I’ll keep praying). But at least we always have fanfiction.

Jesus not only taught God's way of love, but he showed how far God was willing to go to share in our suffering and to restore us to wholeness of life and happiness. Jesus overcame sin, suffering, and death through his victory on the cross. His death brought us freedom from slavery to sin and the promise of everlasting life with God. He willingly shared in our suffering to bring us to the source of true healing and freedom from sin and oppression. True compassion not only identifies and emphathizes with the one who is in pain, but takes that pain on oneself in order to bring freedom and restoration.

“... that primacy may be His in everything.” —Colossians 1:18
We should acknowledge Jesus as first in everything. When we wake up, the first word on our lips should be “Jesus.” Our first activity each day should be praying in the name of Jesus. Before talking to anyone else, we first talk to Him. Before we pick up the phone, answer the doorbell, or put the key in the ignition, Jesus comes first. Before turning on the TV, opening the refrigerator, or pressing a button, Jesus is first. Before we pay any other bills, we pay our tithe. Jesus has the primacy in everything — financially, sexually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Jesus is “the First and the Last” (Rv 1:17), “the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End” (Rv 21:6). Jesus is first chronologically. We seek first His kingdom and give Him prime-time (Mt 6:33). Jesus is first ontologically. “He is before all else that is...the Beginning, the First-Born of the dead” (Col 1:17, 18).
Jesus is God. He is not only Lord, but Lord alone. Therefore, we should love Him with all our heart, all our soul, all our strength, and all our mind (Lk 10:27).
Prayer:  Jesus, Savior, Lord, and God, I decide to always live for You alone.
Promise:  “It pleased God to make absolute fullness reside in Him and, by means of Him, to reconcile everything in His person, both on earth and in the heavens, making peace through the blood of His cross.” —Col 1:19-20
Praise:  “The Lord gives sight to the blind. The Lord raises up those that were bowed down; the Lord loves the just” (Ps 146:8). Risen Jesus, we trust in You!
