The Slap - KaySun
Yalı Çapkını Bölüm 58
~~~
So, my thoughts on the episode:
While I do love the angst, I feel like Suna is being OOC and inconsistent. She’s in her insane era fr. This is a girl who loves her sister Seyran and threw up even just thinking about being with Ferit.
There’s a scene in this episode wherein she coldly tells Kaya she empathizes with him and that’s why she married him—this clearly parallels the Episode 46 scene wherein Suna overhears Kaya telling his mom he pities her. Granted, Kaya said that to deal with his mom’s DID, but Suna doesn’t know that because Kaya isn’t communicating this, lol.
I do think though the angst will still serve but I wish they would make her less OOC. Suna needs to realize her true destiny is Kaya. Also, the Fikriye fortune teller subplot is such a cop out—here’s a charlatan with vague words that can be interpreted in multiple ways, so the writers can manipulate the story however they see fit.
We are definitely getting good angst though, like KaySun we are so back. But we need a catalyst for Suna to realize her true feelings. Some ideas I have include Suna overhearing Kaya tell his mother he truly loves her, Suna finding out that the fortune teller is fake (because idk if Fikriye is in kahoots with İfakat or not), or Suna just getting jealous of Kaya with Pırıl. Maybe Kaya should get shot non-fatally for her to beg for him and realize she loves him? Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t want a divorce for KaySun unless it’s just talks of it (like for Suna to realize she does want Kaya, not for the divorce to actually happen—it should be stopped last minute, ya feel haha).
Ideally, with the reytings and lack of creativity of the writers, we are definitely getting this plot line dragged only to have it disintegrate last minute. In a perfect world, my ideal scenario is angst era for KaySun, Suna’s jealousy or overhearing something to have her realize she loves Kaya, and then them getting back together towards the end of the season and being #endgame—except the Pırıl sht pops out last minute, leaving us on a cliffhanger for the season finale. That way, there’s more to explore come Season 3.
My gripe is truly the lack of KaySun scenes and the inconsistency of Suna’s character. She’s not THAT insane. To echo what my good friend @academyofbrokenhearts said—they were able to give a male like Kaya a good reason for his Episode 46 “pity” scene, which is his mentally ill mother. But this show hates women so much, Suna’s only reasoning for the Fersht plot is a freaking fortune teller. Girls are not that dumb!
Anyway, thank you for coming to my Ted talk—always remember that KaySun is endgame! ❣️🧿🙏🏻
Fic: New Beginnings (Kaya/Suna - Yali Capkini)
Fic: New Beginnings
Pairing: Kaya/Suna
Rating: R
A/N: These two got me into the show, and I was so disappointed to see their scenes were cut in the new episode. Grrr.... so I decided to write their wedding night scene for myself and fill in some of the gaps.
Summary: As Suna struggles with her past on their wedding night, Kaya is there to offer her comfort.
Suna's stomach quivered with anxiety even as she marched forward. As much as the thought of sex terrified her, the thought of Kaya walking out unnerved her more. She placed her hand on the door, blocking him from leaving. He turned around, watching her like he always did. His dark eyes brimmed with surprise, like he hadn't expected her to be so bold.
"My husband won't be spending tonight anywhere else."
Her firm voice surprised even her. She didn't sound nervous or afraid, even though that's how she felt.
"Alright," Kaya murmured, his face drifting closer.
She looked him in the eyes, and, for a moment, she was a woman with no baggage or burdens. Simply a woman, attracted to her husband, wanting him.
His mouth closed over hers, gentle, sweet, simply kissing her. As kind as his tenderness was right now, she ached to feel the hunger he showed her the day they first kissed. The way his hand squeezed her face, the desperation in his touch as he bracketed his own face with her hand. The yearning in his kiss, it had matched her own. She wanted that from him, because he made her feel like a woman burning with passion.
She grabbed him by the collar and pulled him close, hoping he would make her feel like that again.
But he pulled away instead. Panting for air, he reached for her face. His thumb stroked over her wet cheek.
Confused, Suna stepped towards him with one hand still on his collar, the other curved around the back of his neck. "Why did you stop?"
"Are you sure?"
Her heart squeezed in her chest, a slow warmth spread through her. She wasn't used to men being so considerate of her needs. Her father never cared, he was a man prone to violence and aggression. And the man she loved, although not violent, didn't feel strongly enough to stick by her. Yet here was Kaya, practically a stranger, worried about her.
She wanted to share so many things with him. Like how grateful she was when he hugged her a few minutes ago. How much she appreciated his patience with her. How much she wanted him. But she couldn't bring herself to say any of those words. Instead, she chose to show him.
Eyes fixed on him, she untied her robe.
Her heart pounded in her chest as his intense gaze lingered down her body. Oh god. He didn't just look, he seemed to inhale her in. Even though she was still dressed in a white slip, she felt absolutely naked in front of him. And yes, there was fear but there was also something else budding inside her heart. Desire. "Do I need to undress myself, Kaya?"
One second he was studying her with reverence, next his hands were threading through her hair, bringing her close, his mouth devouring hers.
Oh god.
Everything spun into chaos, she couldn't think, couldn't breathe, not when he was intoxicating her with his kiss, his hands all over her body. And it wasn't just him doing things to her, no, she was fully pursuing him, her hands pulling at his shirt, keen to touch his skin.
She didn't know when she ended up on the bed, or how he managed to throw all the pillows onto the floor. All she could feel was his body perched above hers, his skin burning hot. He was naked from the waist up, his bare chest sliding down her body, his arms flexing under her touch. How could he feel so good?
Then his tongue slowly teased the spot just below her ear, licking her, making her shudder. Instinctively her hands dug into his back, aching for more but not sure of what. A sudden, loud moan escaped her mouth as he kissed her neck, her throat. Immediately he froze, watching her with a keen gaze again. Just for a moment she wondered if she'd embarrassed herself - but she didn't' have to wonder for long. The slow, seductive smile on his face matched the desire in his eyes were loud and clear.
He was enthralled by her response to him.
Kaya's sultry voice seemed to echo through the room. "You want me."
Suna swallowed an audible breath. Reaching up, she trailed her hand down his muscular chest, tracking the tattoos on his skin. "More than I've ever wanted anybody."
The smile he gifted her with sent shivers down her spine. She couldn't remember the last time she'd felt this good, this cherished. Was this just a dream? Because she didn't think this could be real.
"I'm gonna take this off, okay?" He grazed her right shoulder, pressing soft kisses onto her skin, before hooking his fingers around the slip strap. "But don't be scared. I need to see how beautiful you are, I'm dying to touch you."
Slowly he undressed her, rolling the fabric down her body little by little, lavishing her body with kisses. With every passing second, a fire grew deep in her core. Never did she think she would be laying under someone completely naked and enjoying it.
"Do you have any idea how beautiful you are?" he whispered, throwing her slip aside. His voice ached with so much emotion, like he was mesmerized by her.
Seeing his reaction to her, she felt brave and emboldened. "Show me, Kaya."
And he did. With his hands, his mouth. Worshipped her like she was his god. She never knew someone touching her breasts could bring her so much pleasure, lapping at her nipples with his tongue. Or how amazing it would feel to have his naked body grinding down on hers. Men's erection used to disturb her before but not Kaya's, no. He was hard, and she wanted to see him, all of him, naked and hard for her.
She arched up when his tongue delved into her belly button, a sensation she'd never felt before. A soft giggle escaped her, and he laughed too, pressing soft, wanton kisses into her stomach.
"Do you have any idea what you do to me?" He growled, looking up at her from where his head lay on her stomach. "How you drive me crazy?" A wicked glint burned in his eyes. "You're always on my mind. I can't stop thinking about you, Suna."
"Then don't stop," she confessed. Fear and shame may have been etched into every inch of her soul but somehow he always managed to make her feel safe. She didn't understand how, or why, but with him she felt like she could do anything. Even burn the world down, like he'd promised.
He crawled up her body until he was directly above her. Wearing a mischievous smile, he pressed his temple onto hers. The weight of his body didn't feel heavy or suffocating. Instead, it felt like a home she never experienced before.
"I can't stop. Even if I want to."
And he kissed her again.
She didn't know how he could be aggressive yet so loving at the same time. It wasn't possible, but Kaya managed to be both. He was unlike any other man she'd ever known. A complete anomaly. And someone she trusted far more than she'd ever trusted anyone else.
Which was why when his hand trailed between her legs, slowly moving up, sneaking past her underwear to stroke her, she didn't feel afraid. Why pleasure coursed through her blood when he murmured dirty things in her ears as he slowly caressed her.
"You're so wet for me, sugar."
His words made her blush from head to toe as she lay under him, slowly falling apart under his touch.
"So sweet, so tight."
She couldn't take what he was doing to her, her body pulsing under him. Eyes closed, she covered her mouth with her hand, worried she'd scream once again.
"I knew you'd feel good, but this... Suna... you don't understand. You have no idea how amazing you feel."
Oh... there was something ready to explode in her, growing and growing, reaching for something she didn't understand.
His fingers were inside her, thrusting, making her feel so, so good – was it always like this? Was this what everyone felt with their husbands?
"Beautiful Suna..."
"Please Kaya." She didn't know what she was begging for, all she knew was there was something her body was rushing towards, desperate for it, and only Kaya could bring to her.
"Do I make you feel good, love? Do you want more?"
"Yes," she begged. "Please..."
"Open your eyes, love. Look at me."
She did as he asked, and the expression on his face made her catch her breath. He was a man drowning. No, a man ready to conquer the world with her.
Then he twisted his fingers inside her in the most incredible of ways, carrying her over the edge, and her world exploded.
Beautiful fireworks, colours of every kind, crackled in the air. She was freefalling, uninhibited, unleashed, a woman completely out of control.
She'd never felt this free before, this good. So wild and reckless and ready for anything. Slowly she came back to reality, cradled in comfort and warmth, grounded by the kisses her husband trailed on her face. And his hand – oh yes, those amazing long, lithe fingers inside of his – still pulsated inside her.
"Are you okay, Suna? Still with me?" He kissed her eyelids, first left, then the right, his other hand cradling her face. He dropped a gentle kiss on the tip of her nose. "Did I lose you already?"
Eyes still closed, you gave him a slow, tender smile. "No. Never."
"There she is." Pride beamed in his voice. "My wife. My queen."
She opened her eyes, meeting his gaze. "Your partner. In everything."
He grinned. "Forever."
Own my own mind
Summary: Suna has had enough of the abuse she has received from her father. The person that once has hit you will never change. So she puts a stop to it but just around the corner another blow comes to her. Can she keep her strength to fight for life she deserves? Come and follow her down this path.
Can also read it on AO3.
Suna had wanted a little break from everyone in Korhan villa so she went to her family's new home. It has been weeks since her talk with Kaya about leaving for London. She still was confused but Kaya’s treatment of her was disarming her. Still she couldn’t make up her mind. So many what if’s running through her head because of her previous experiences. Suna really needed to start healing her mind and she couldn’t do it here.
Of course, even here the drama followed her. It seemed that once again her father was back to his old ways and the things she had built in her mind started to crumble. Once again she was laying on the floor with Kazim screaming over her body but this time there was no Kaya to protect her. How could she be so stupid? How could she allow her mind to play such tricks on her? She had to know better.
“You are such a disgrace to this family. Third failed marriage. Maybe I need to lock you in the basement till I find some idiot that can deal with you.” Kazim roared after hearing his oldest daughter's conversation with her mother and aunt. Once again she was someone she could dispose off like some kind of trash. His rage was followed by another slap that landed on Suna’s right cheek. It was like that slap really restarted her brain. No, she won’t allow him to walk over her. Her own rage that she had stored in herself was bubbling over the edges. She was Sönmez now, she was married to the man that stood up for her. Time to stand up for herself and show that she was worth the name she was wearing. Suna stood up, spitting blood on the floor.
“Oh really, father, I am a disgrace to this family. I am still married to Korhan’s grandson.” stated Suna, coming closer to her father, who for once in his life seemed scared of her. Good, she liked to see him scared of her. “You are the disgrace of this family for not being able to provide us with the life we deserve. You are the one who sold out his own daughters to rich men to grab cushy money and live a lavish life. So don’t you dare tell me I am a disgrace to this family because I am not part of it anymore and have never been.”
“Suna!”exclaimed her mother.
Suna didn’t even turn to look at her, still looking at her father and said: “What, mother? Am I too harsh to him? Am I throwing back taunts that he so easily flicked at me? You are as guilty as him for not protecting me and Seyran from this. I had to protect her by taking on twice as much of his abuse. I wish you all well and happy life but don’t you dare to come close to me and my family ever again, or I will show you what kind of disgrace you raised.”
With all said and done she was out of doors of that house. Wow, that really felt freeing. Finally she left out everything that had been choking her since childhood. Now she had to find Kaya and talk with him. It really was time to take matters in her own hands. She was ready to trust him. Taxi was waiting for her at the door but she was ashamed to get in it, looking like a mess. Oh hell with it, she just needed to get to her husband and the storm was raging outside. It felt like the sky would fall down. She sat in the back of the taxi, telling the guy the address.
Something was bothering her the closer they were getting to the house. Suna looked out of the window at the raging sea but noticed a weird pile under the tree. They were only five minutes away from the house.
“Please, stop here and wait a few minutes.”
“Madam, it is not safe out there.” the taxi driver told Suna but she really had to see what that weird pile was. Maybe someone needed help in this horrible weather.
“Then would you, please, escort me. I will pay extra for it.”
The driver walked to her side of the car, opening the door and holding an umbrella over both of them. They started to walk closer to the pile but the closer they got the more like a human body it looked. The lightning strike made everything around them go bright, and then she noticed a familiar mess of hair and silver chains.
“KAYA!” she screamed and started to run to her husband's side. She fell to her knees and turned his body on the back. Suna felt something warm touch her hand. It was blood. Her husband's head was bleeding. Suna screamed again in despair like a banshee.
“Madam?” the taxi driver asked tentatively.
“Please, call an ambulance and police. Someone had attacked my husband. Please, do it quickly.”
The man nodded and walked a bit further away from the couple on the ground. Suna took off her scarf that was around her neck and wrapped Kaya’s head as carefully as she could, constantly muttering: “Don’t you dare to leave me, Kaya Sönmez, don’t you dare. You have so much to show me in this world. Ambulance will soon be here. You just have to hold on and listen to my voice.”
Suna could hear all the sirens going off, so she pressed a kiss to Kaya’s forehead, whispering: “You hear that, Kaya. They are coming for you.”
After that everything was a blur. Suna and Kaya were packed in an ambulance. Police promised to come and talk with them to the hospital. When they reached the hospital, she was separated from her husband because doctors wanted to look her over too. Suna had forgotten that she had cut a corner of the lip and bruised cheek. All her thoughts were with her husband. The hospital gave her some pajamas because her clothes were evidence now. Finally after a few hours she was in the hospital room with her husband and mother in law who seemed to have one of her clarity days. She wasn’t flinging insults at Suna and that was a start.
“I know that you think I don’t deserve your son but I really love him. I hope that one day you can see clearly that I am not taking him away from you.”
“I know that, child. Simply my other side is more vicious but even she has some respect for you after today. You brought him to safety and protected him like a real wife should do. You are good for him and we will try to come to terms with it.”
“Do you know who did it to him? Is it because of revenge?”
“I have no idea, Suna, but the police will deal with it. Worry about your husband right now.”
“I always worry about him.”
“And he worries about you. You are two sides of one coin. Both abused, neglected and used in the plot of other peoples games. We promise you and him that you are free of those obligations. Go live your life.”
“Not yet, Nükhet. This time is my time to show everyone what kind of disappointment I am.”
“Are you ready to burn all the bridges, child?”
“For myself and him, I will do everything. Those bridges were shaky and slowly burning to start off. Nobody touches my family and walks freely.”
Nükhet finally saw what her son had seen in this girl. Under all that abuse was lioness ready to protect what is hers. There seemed to be no more veil of fear like something had ripped it off. By the look of Suna’s face, she knew what had happened.
*****
Next morning was a rough one. Kaya was still unconscious but Suna could answer the police's questions. They showed her a video from security cameras showing some man following Kaya. That man looked quite familiar to her. Then the man turned his face to cameras to hide from Kaya who had felt that someone was following him.
“Do you know this man, Mrs. Sönmez?” asked one of the police officers.
“Yes, I do. If you need, I can make him come here and confess everything.” stated Suna, looking at surprised police officers. Abidin really overstepped all the boundaries with this move.
“Of course, the faster we can close this case the better. We could not but notice your injuries, do you want to open a case against this person?”
“If we are at it, sure. I will just text that person in the video.”
Suna allowed them to take photos of all the bruises on her body and other injuries she had sustained under her fathers strict upbringing that has left scars that would never be erased. They took her statement about her father. She really hoped something would come out of it. Even if not, she stood up to him, exposing his dirty deeds. Suna’s phone vibrated on the table.
“He is here.”
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Sönmez. We will be close by.” the police officer reassured her while putting on a microphone on her. They really should not be worried about her but Abidin. There was no angrier being that hurt and disappointed woman. “Do everything to get it out of him?”
When Suna met Abidin in front of the hospital, she could see that Kaya had gotten him well. His jaw was purple with already formed bruising there and some bruising under an eye.
“Suna, what happened to your face? Did someone hit you?” asked worried Abidin, trying to touch her face. She slapped her hand away.
“Not like you don’t know who could do this to me. You have always just stood there and watched me being abused like my own mother. You couldn’t even help me once. You are a coward.”
“Don’t say that, Suna. I did so much for you.”
“What exactly did you do for me?” asked Suna, leading him on the way to confess his crimes. “What should I be thankful for, Abidin?”
“I rid your life from that so called husband of yours. I saw how sad he was making you. So I did help you. It was so easy to get rid of him. Possibly, he is already dead by now. You are free to do what you like.”
“Abidin, what did you do to Kaya?”
“Nothing that he didn’t deserve for hurting you. Just left him to die like the bastard he is.”
Suna could not take it anymore. She slapped him as hard as she could and got her fingers twisted in Abidins hair, pulling as hard as possible to put him on the knees, sneering: “Don’t you dare to call my husband a bastard. You know, Abidin, by this you only helped my father. He will marry me off to another creep that you won’t be able to take on because you will be too scared.”
A police officer was pulling her off Abidin but she was not letting go that easy. She kicked him in the side and his howl of pain was satisfying.
“That is for hurting me and Kaya. I hope you like your jail cell.” she shouted after him while Abidin was getting taken away.
“I knew we should have been worried about that man more than you.” said Nükhet who had seen everything go down from the sidelines. “Officer, you can let my daughter in law go. She won’t hurt anyone anymore. I think you have more pressing matters to attend to.”
The two women walked back to Kaya’s room in silence but before Suna could step over the threshold there was a hand on her shoulder, turning her so she could face her mother in law.
“I am proud of you, Suna. You kept your promise so I am keeping mine. You are free from my own revenge. Go, live a happy life with my son.”
“Nükhet, Kaya wants you to come with us.”
“I know, child, but my time here is not done yet. I will join you soon enough. Oh, by the way, here are yours and Kaya’s clothes and bathroom stuff. The rest of the stuff I asked to be moved to a flat I rented for you two. There is no reason for you two to return to that snake pit.”
“Thank you, Mother!” said Suna, stepping into the hospital room. There was her husband wide awake and smiling at her not like someone wanted him dead just yesterday. Just seeing that smile made Suna finally allow herself to cry. Kaya just opened his arms, ready as always to support his wife and allow her to hide in his arms. That is all Suna needed right now. Her husband's warm hug and understanding that they are allowed to be happy.
“I love you!” spoke Suna, looking in the eyes of her husband. He deserved to know that he had reached this goal of his. He had fully disarmed her and showed her that life she wants is possible with the right person.
“I love you, too, my water nymph!” he answered her, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
yn as miya twin's older sister, and suna rintarou as, well, their friend who has hots on her.
"para sa'yo oh, baka umiyak ka."
"anong ginagawa mo rito?" kunot-noo niyang tanong matapos ilapag ni rintarou sa tabi niya ang boquet nang hindi niya ito kuhanin mula sa kamay nito.
ngumiti ito, malumanay. "congratulating you, of course. graduate ka na, law school next?"
tinitigan niya muna ito nang ilang segundo, tintitimbang kung nasa tamang ayos ba ang binata para makipag-usap sa kaniya, o nandito na naman ito para inisin siya.
nang hindi nagbago ang ang ekspresyon sa mukha nito, saka siya tumango. "salamat." tinapunan niya ng tingin ang bulaklak na kulay dilaw. sunflowers, paborito niya. "and yes, law school next. sana kayanin."
"kinaya mo four years, kaya mo pa 'yan." nangingiti nitong dagdag.
hindi siya sumagot. pinagmasdan niya lang si rintarou na kumuha ng pagkain mula sa lamesa. the man really looked good. with his hair looking different from high school, sharp eyes as if prepared to kill anyone with his gaze, and those smiling lips as if he knows your secret.
he looked laid back with his pale yellow polo shirt, first three buttons were open, giving people enough liberty to peek into his white top. kung titingnan, mukhang style nito ang messy-look, but knowing rintarou, he's just like that when he's not on court.
"gusto mo na ba ako?"
bahagya siyang napaatras nang ilapit ni rintarou ang mukha sa kaniya, dahilan para magising siya sa pagkatulala rito. naramdaman niya ang init sa leeg niya lalo na nang ilang segundo silang nagtitigan bago siya mismo ang pumutol nito.
"tigilan mo sabi ako. i'm older than you," sagot niya. mata ay nanatili sa ice cream na kanina pa kinakain.
she heard rintarou scoffed. "nang two years?"
with that, umirap siya. "yeah, two whole years. why don't you hang out with people your age? they're definitely more suitable—kung ayaw mo lumayo, andyan yung kambal."
nalukot ang mukha nito. pinanood niya itong umupo sa lamesa sa tabi niya, at dahil literal na magkatabi, bumangga pa ang tuhod nito sa kaniya. "i know i swing both ways, pero kadiri naman 'yang offer mo."
"hoy anong kadiri? kapatid ko mga yan! si atsumu, medyo—"
"ate!?"
natawa siya dahil sa pagcut off na iyon ni atsumu. she knew they were listening dahil ganiyan naman parati ang dalawang iyan kapag kinakausap siya ni rintarou. maging si rintarou ay natawa rin at nakiasar kay atsumu.
"sabi sa'yo pre dugyot ka minsan eh," natatawa nitong dugtong.
umiling si osamu. "sinong nagsabing minsan lang? at ikaw hoy, rintarou tigilan mo ate ko sabi eh," inis nitong dagdag habang may lechon pa sa bibig.
tanging iling lang ang sinagot ni rintarou at lalo pang inilapit ang upuan sa kaniya. she saw him glance at the space between them, making sure he's not too close. ganiyan siya dati pa.
"hoy—"
"daldal ng kambal, shot niyo na! bawal tumakas!"
bago pa man makasagot ang kambal, nahatak na sila ng ninong nilang lasing na. naiwan na naman tuloy silang dalawa ni rintarou, kaya naman bago pa siya makaramdam ng awkwardness sa pasulyap-sulyap nito sa kaniya ay nagsalita siya.
"ano palang plano mo? third year ka na, diba?"
"mag-aaral, volleball." nagkibit balikat ito. "nothing to worry about my path, alam ko naman gusto ko." at sumulyap ito sa kaniya.
tumango siya. "at least you know what you want to do. mukhang set na set ka na rin eh." ngumiti siya. "i remember being a third year, and still wasn't sure kung itutuloy ko ba 'to."
"you're talking as if you being a third was years ago." rintarou grimaced. "pero, hindi ko inasahang hindi ka pala sigurado. you just seem so... put-togeher, and organized. parang hindi ka maliligaw kahit anong gawin mo sa buhay dahil merong kang plan a-z. you're so focus on staring ahead, and it's admirable."
dire-diretso ang pananalita nito, kumakain at nakatingin din sa kaniya. tila hindi naman nito sinasabi ang iniisip, as if his words weren't making her heart skip a beat.
she couldn't help but remember hindi naman sila close nito noon. she simply knew him by name dahil kaibigan ito ng kambal. she's too busy in school to entertain her brothers' friends.
she didn't mind it, of course. not until they graduated from senior high.
graduation ng kambal, saktong free siya nang hapon kaya nakahabol siya matapos ang ceremony. she was busy taking pictures of everyone dahil busy pa sa class picture taking ang mga kapatid niya, at ang nanay nila ay nakikipagkwentuhan pa, when rintarou came to her.
imagine her surprise when he mentioned her name.
"sorry? who are you?"
rintarou smiled, not a shy one, but most definitely a smile one give when they're around people they like. "i'm rintarou. it's nice to finally meet you face to face."
ibinaba niya ang camera. "oh, you're that kid! the first and last time i took note of you, magka-height pa tayo ah."
he scratched his name using left hand, and that's when she noticed his right arm behind his back. "oh, that's what you remebered."
"oo—pero wait, ano yan? sa kambal ba? hindi kayo magkasama—?"
"no, it's for you."
nanlaki ang mata niya nang ilabas nito ang boquet ng sunflowers. natuon ang mata niya sa bulaklak, at hindi naintindihan ang sinabi ng binata kaya iniangat niya ang tingin dito.
"i like you. i want to court you."
jaw drop was an understatement. "h—ha? ate mo na ako, huy," biro niya, pero hindi ito natawa. "seryoso ka?"
tumango ito. "i am. i waited for this day."
dahil sa narinig, nagseryoso rin ang mukha niya. "it will pass, suna."
umiling ito. "i grew up, and it didn't. and before you snap at me, please let me be the one to know if it had passed or not?"
huminga siya nang malalim. "bahala ka, pero sinasabi ko sa'yo. walang manliligaw. "
"pero—"
"no. sort your feelings for four years? three? baka mapagbigyan kita."
matapos ang usapang iyon, naisip niyang titigil na ito, ngunit dumalas lang ang pagpunta nito sa bahay nila. pagkumusta sa kaniya.
hindi ito nanliligaw, dahil hindi niya pinagan.
kaya hindi niya naisip na mananatiling sa kaniya ang tingin nito
"i fulfilled my promise."
nilingon niya si rintarou nang mapansing nakatitig ito sa kaniya. "huh?"
ngumisi ito, at muli inilapit ang mukha sa kaniya. she could feel his breath on her face, but she couldn't find the courage to move away, or even push him.
ayaw niya.
"i sort it out. ikaw pa rin. pwede na ba manligaw?"
umawang lang ang bibig niya. she caught him glancing at her lips, before it went back to her eyes. nang magtama ang paningin nila, nanlaki ang mata nito, at ito ang naunang umatras.
all those years, hindi niya pwedeng sabihing wala siyang feelings dito.
dahil imposible iyon.
yumuko siya. "mas busy ako ngayon, rintarou."
"i know."
"hindi ako parati available."
"i know that, too."
"mahihirapan ka sa'kin." dito, iniangat niya ang paningin only to be greeted by his serious face, looking at her already.
"i won't, and i'm only courting you. wala kang responsibilidad sa akin." ngumiti ito, his eyes went down on your intertwined hands. gawain mo kapag kabado ka, which he perfectly knew. "unless crush mo ako, maybe i can do you a favor tapos ako na sasagot sa'yo."
her eye twitch at that. alam na alam talaga nito kung paano siya inisin, at kung paano siya kalmahin. umirap siya. akmang magsasalita siyang muli nang ipatong nito ang kamay, sa kaniyang magkasalikop na kamay.
ngumiti ito nang nakakaloko bago nagsalita, "okay, sinasagot na kita—"
bago mo pa mahampas sa inis at tawa si rintarou dahil sa sinabi nito, bigla na namang sumulpot ang kambal.
"pumayag ka na, ate!?"
"ate, bakit!?"
imbis na pansinin ang kambal, tinapunan niya ng masamang tingin si rintarou na may nakaiiritang ngisi, ngunit namumungay ang mata, kumikinang pa.
ngumiti siya nang matamis, inalis niya ang kanang kamay mula sa ilalim at hinaplos ang pisngi nito. "kung bastedin kaya kita ngayon na?"
ang ngisi nito kanina ay napalitan ng simangot. hindi nito inalis ang kamay sa kaniya. "fine, you won again."
"kapag sinagot kita, ikaw naman panalo." kumindat siya. "ako bahala sa'yo."
