Ren chopping off Wanshu's finger might've served a double purpose. She not only did this to punish Wanshu for her misbehaviour but might have also done this to make sure that Wanshu would be treated as a victim by the police and not an accomplice once they've tracked her down. Wanshu was the prime suspect and the last murder victim was found tortured to death after she had screamed across the whole campus how Wanshu was the killer of their classmate. By chosing to hurt Wanshu, Ren eliminated the possibility that Wanshu would be hurt worse in the future. Shaking off the accusations of complicity would have been hard for Wanshu if she had been found with no visible traces of abuse and the investigators had discovered that Wanshu was the lover of Ren Pingsheng.

Man. I miss when ai generated images looked like garbled nonsense. Not only bc it was funny but bc I really enjoy painting over other pictures!! I used to be super into it a few years back and I would paint on top of pictures of mushrooms or paint swirls or flowers or whatever else. I did actually paint on top of ai art once back then!! I remember I generated smth for “man falling through clouds” and drew 100 hr Scar using that as my underpainting
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a palette I’d have never tried without that underpainting, which is why it’s a fun experimental technique!! But now any ai art will just. Draw The Picture For You

oh boy the depression hole is deep and it is muddy
hahaha I fell into the classic trap! overidentify with your job and considering leaving it will trigger an existential crisis!!!!
#red said#i think it's really fucking happening#i got lunch with my work bff yesterday. she's seriously looking for her next thing.#2 other people in our 9 man team have told me in confidence they're looking elsewhere as well#the work bff is a team manager and she's like yeah I'm helping everyone buff up their CVs and think about what they want#and i. do not think my boss is coming back.#she's extended her mat leave by 2 months already. i think she stepped away and realised. rightly. there's more to life than this shit.#it's not that the organisation is downsizing or any of us are in danger of redundancy#but the vibe has changed big time. it's so much more corporate and less interested in lived experience.#i think the proportion of people in senior management who have even second hand experience with homelessness is shrinking#like the last time our CEO did frontline work was like 1990. and they're expanding the management team constantly#but they're all outside hires and not people who've done frontline or community work. they're the career charity worker types.#the only things keeping me are. i want to at least get to that initial union open meeting and get the ball rolling enough#that it might have a cat's chance in hell of happening without me#and i want to get gears turning in the EDI group to get a commitment a) to acknowledge that we have a whiteness problem#and b) i want to use the funding for LGBTQ inclusion work to kickstart a project where we convene a cross-sector working group#maybe quarterly. where people working in homelessness and social support can discuss best practise for trans inclusivity#in one of the sectors where trans people are most disadvantaged in seeking support#but like if i can get movement on those things I'm fucking gone. cause the bits of my job that are my actual job?#i am getting nothing out of it now

What if I told you Tom's want to have a baby with shiv in season 3 is him trying to recreate his relationship with Greg within his home
I think tom was able to except the death of his job due to him being able separate his work life and his home life, something none of the Roy's are able to separate obv. Waystar royco is a family run business and the Roy's are a business run family. I think this contrast is well illustrated when tomshiv are going over the prenup and we see Tom's phone call w his mom. His tone is very casual when wishing her a happy Thanksgiving but when she switches to talking about the prenup his tone is more serious. Then, when talking to shiv about the call he refers to her as his lawyer and shiv says something like, "u mean ur mom." Tom leaves behind his family relationship w his mom when she is working with him, a line shiv (or any of the roy siblings) never draw. While working for waystar she never referrers to Logan as her boss, she always simply calls him dad.
Then in season 3 tom knows his job life to be dead, talking of his cancer of the career and calling himself terminal tom. He knew he had failed said life and wanted to find fulfillment in his home life that he still had ahead of him. I was watching/reading some interviews w Matthew Macfadyen recently and they got me thinking about how he says tom views himself as sort of a mentor/almost a father figure towards greg. Tom's relationship w greg is messy and so many things at once, but, I think tom found fulfillment in being able to be greg's work dad in some weird fucking way.
Also, the scene where tom talks about getting shiv pregnant for the duration of his prison sentence then coming back home to a baby makes it very clear to me that his want to have a child isn't coming from love for shiv. He quite literally doesn't want to be there for her, but, just for the child. Oml I could continue ranting about how shivs feelings towards her own femininity and sexuality play into the hypothetical tomshiv child but I feel like I should shut the fuck up maybe.
But but but, I just think it's so insane that tom saw the death of his work life quickly approaching him, and with this came the death of his and gregs work relationship. So, tom tried to recreate part of that relationship by getting shiv pregnant. Tom wambsgans wtf is wrong with u why is he like that.

I've been an animator on She-Ra, American Dad! (still am), multiple other FOX shows, and it all happened without a degree or art portfolio. Warning: this is a pretty dark story. It's also the origins of Chew Gum, the series I'm currently trying to make!  Check it out on Newgrounds.

You should give multiversal asterisk lore. It sounds cool
Welll this is an ooc blog run by the bug trio’s mod… (Yes hi it’s me, Jello/Malice/Miles!! Pick a name, any name!)
But my online sona’s a silly little shapeshifting demon guy who travels multiverses & goes into various video game universes for autism hyperfixation reasons.
So…. I guess that would fit Asterisk lore? Idk, I’ve been considering actually making a character for this blog. :P
