Mk characters reacting to their GN s/o wearing their hats

Characters : Erron Black, Kung Lao, Raiden

I wrote this because whenever I play MK, I would always wonder what it would be like to wear the hats of those boys.

Mostly because of Kung Lao since I absolutely adore seeing him fight with his hat. It's so funny and cool and I really wanna try it.

Hopefully you'll enjoy those silly little Headcanons. I had a blast writing them. Oh and if you want, tell me in the comment which hat would you be tempted to try/steal the most out of the three? I'm curious :)

Also I discovered while writing those that I had a thing for throwing hats in the air. Don't know why, I just think it looks cool xD.

As usual disclaimer: English ain't my native language so there might be mistakes in this. I'm trying my best to correct them as I see them.

Erron Black

Something that was established during the early days of your relationship was that Erron loves his hat.

No one is allowed to touch, wear or even go near his hat.

Will rarely take it off.

Would shoot anyone who dares take the hat.

Would take immense care of it.

You wondered what it would feel like to wear it but feared the wraith of your partner.

However, the hat is free real estate if you find it on the ground during battle and the cowboy is too far away from it and distracted.

Then you wouldn’t hesitate to put it on.

You would feel pretty badass with it.

Now entering shitty cowboy jokes mode

You'd try your best and fail miserably to do a cowboy accent.

Erron would never admit it but it would become his favourite thing, seeing you with his hat.

Screams of agony and rage echoed around the arena. An uprising caused by some rebels not happy with Kotal Kahn being in power was taking place. The Kahn, having safely left the vicinity, entrusted his most brave and fearsome soldiers to fend off the remaining troublemakers. Aka, (Y/n) and Erron, accompanied by a small group of Outworld soldiers, stayed behind to clean the arena. The fight had proven to be somewhat more difficult then they had previously anticipated. Somewhere during the battle, someone managed to knock Erron's hat off. He wasn't bothered by it at the time as he was more focused on winning the kombat and staying alive. However, once his enemy was defeated, he quickly noticed the missing item.

Erron, slightly annoyed by this, scanned the arena but couldn’t find his hat. Not until his eyes landed on his partner.

They were further away from him, fighting against their own opponent. The dust flying around made it hard to see clearly but he knew from the shape of it that, resting on their head, was his hat.

To say that Erron found the sight of them punching a man while wearing the item incredibly hot, was an understatement.

As the rebellion died down, Erron allowed himself to be distracted by their fight. He watched from the sideline as (Y/n) grabbed the hat and threw it above them.

The action drew the attention of the man they were fighting against upwards, his eyes unconsciously following the hat trajectory. Taking the opportunity, they sliced the distracted man's head off. Blood splattered on their face but that didn't seem to bother them.

As the man lay dead, they caught the falling hat and in a smooth gesture placed it back on their head. In the distance, noises of spurs approaching made them turn to the side, tilting the hat toward Erron.

"Howdy partner"

Seeing the giant grin on (Y/n)'s face made the gunslinger's heart skip a beat. Splashes of blood covered their face but his hat had remained spotless. Even when fighting, they took great care not to let the hat get dirty. Behind them, the last rebel died, earning various cries of triumph from the soldiers of the Kahn all around. Erron kept staring at his partner, still not processing how gorgeous they were with his hat on. As they were about to remove the hat to return it to its original owner, a hand stopped them.

"Keep it"

Erron would never admit it out loud that he enjoyed seeing (Y/n) with the headwear. Besides, he had plenty of spared ones. One less wouldn't hurt.

“Much obliged darlin’ ”

Groaning with their attempt at sounding like a cowboy, Erron walked away. He could still hear (Y/n) laughing as they followed behind.

Kung Lao

You won’t see him without it

Unless it’s to shower or sleep

Takes great care of his hat since well it’s his weapon.

Would feel hesitant to let you touch it after he’s sharpened the edge.

You absolutely love to see him fight with it cuz you find him both attractive and badass while he does

You do express the desire to try it but never get around to trying it

Blame Raiden for always taking your boy out for training or missions

You happened to stumble upon the hat one day at the temple with Kung Lao nowhere to be seen.

You wouldn’t skip a beat before taking hold of the weapon and putting it on.

Liu Kang would find you later and the two of you would start training.

Kung Lao leaned on one of the temple support beams, arms crossed over his chest. From afar, he watched as his partner blocked one of Liu Kang’s flaming fits with his hat.

Earlier that day, Kung Lao had been meditating peacefully with his trusted hat placed beside him, when one of the elderly monks came to him for help. Thinking it would only take a few minutes, Kung Lao had left his hat in its spot and followed the other monk.

The errant took longer than he had anticipated but was done fairly quickly nonetheless. However, once he came back to his meditation place, the hat was gone. Puzzled, he had searched the surrounding area to no avail. Sure, the shaolin monk could have summoned his weapon back to him no problem, but a small voice inside him told him to keep looking around.

He had been near the training ground when he heard the telltale sound of his hat hitting the ground. Because yes this man can recognize the sound of his weapon hitting things.

The sight that welcomed him inside the area almost made him laugh. He wasn’t surprised to see (Y/n) wearing his hat, since he knew fully well about their desire to try the weapon.

Quietly observing the friendly match, Kung Lao was rather impressed. (Y/n) seemed fairly comfortable with his weapon, even imitating some of his own moves flawlessly. A soft smile appeared on Kung Lao's face at the thought of them studying him carefully whenever they would come to watch him train.

Raiden stopped by after a while. Arms crossed behind his back, the Thunder God joined Kung Lao in observing the match.

The Shaolin monk felt a sense of proudness inside him. His partner was wielding his weapon and keeping up with the chosen one. The sight was truly beautiful.

Unaware of the two spectators in the back, (Y/n) had their full attention on Liu Kang, dodging his attacks one after the other.

Wanting to try something crazy, they threw the hat up in the air before sliding underneath Liu Kang's parted legs. Upon straightening up behind the chosen one, their foot connected with the falling hat. Liu Kang barely managed to avoid the weapon as it flew past him and lodge itself in the temple’s wall.

The man turned to face (Y/n), surprised yet amused by the event. There, on Liu Kang’s shoulder, was a small cut left by the hat as it went by him. Which only meant one thing.

“First person to leave a mark on the other is the winner, so this means I won” They exclaimed with a giant smile on their face.

At that moment, Kung Lao made his presence known by clapping. Summoning his hat back to him, he walked toward his partner, Raiden not far behind. Fondness in his eyes, he picked them up and kissed their forehead as a reward.

" You were amazing!"

Lets just say that from then on, Kung Lao would let (Y/n) train with his hat just so he could enjoy watching them kick ass with it.

Raiden

It's more of a fashion accessory than a necessity

Like Erron and Kung Lao, he would rarely remove it tho

Heck, you don’t even think you’ve seen Raiden’s hair once in the long time you’ve known him.

But if you had to guess, they would be white like his brother.

Or he was simply bald.

The idea of stealing the God's hat did pop up in your head more than once

But the thought of pissing off a God for stealing his shit didn’t sound good in your mind.

So you left it to that.

Raiden would sometimes catch you glancing up at his hat and wondered about the meaning of this.

You'd pretty much given up about the hat.

Until the day the hat literally landed in your hand.

It was a particularly windy day at the temple. As (Y/n) roamed around the place without anything better to do, they sighted something strange flying in the wind. Curious about the object, (Y/n) followed it until it was low enough for them to grab it.

Upon closer inspection, the object revealed itself to be a hat. A hat that they knew very well. But the God of Thunder was nowhere to be seen.

“Don’t worry little hat, I’ll bring you back to your owner”

Putting the hat on their head, (Y/n) went on a quest to find Lord Raiden and return the lost item. At least, that’s what they had in mind at first. However, they found themselves quickly distracted from the task as they wandered around the temple.

Somewhere during their search, a monk approached them asking for help to move stuff from one place to another. Being the kindred heart that they were, (Y/n) agreed to help the monk. After a while, they were finally done with the task and went back to their search, the monk thanking them as they left.

This went on and off during the day, with monks asking for help or errants and (Y/n) agreeing. To a point where they had completely forgotten about the hat sitting on their head.

Evening rolled around eventually. Exhausted from their day, (Y/n) found themselves sitting in an isolated part of the temple while nursing a cup of green tea. The wind had settled into a nice breeze which gently brushed against them.

“Good evening (Y/n)”

Looking to the side, their eyes fell on a rare sight. Approaching them was Lord Raiden.There was an air of calmness around the God as he came to an alt next to them. Hands behind his back, he titled his head slightly, making a few strands of hair come loose from the quickly made ponytail. (Y/n) stared, feeling their heartbeat quicken. They could see Raiden's hair and as they had guessed, his hair was indeed white but shorter than they had thought it would be.

Noticing their lack of response, (Y/n) cleared their throat as a way to hide their embarrassment from staring a bit too long. Carefully placing the cup to the side, they stood.

“Thunderbolt, I was looking for you earlier! But it appeared that I got sidetracked and forgot about it.”

Seeing their partner had reminded them of their initial quest.

“ I appeared to have found your hat and wished to return it to you.”

(Y/n) gently took off the item and handed it to Raiden. They had grown somewhat accustomed to the weight of the hat over the hours. So much so that, now with the item gone, they felt weirdly naked.

“It would seem you have taken a liking to it. It suits you well.”

Taking the offered hat in his hand, Raiden thanked his partner for keeping the object safe until it was returned to him. However, the God seemed to hesitate for a moment, his fingers fidgeting with the helm of the hat.

"Perhaps you should keep an eye on it for a little longer."

Raiden lifted the hat and gently placed it back upon (Y/n) head. Satisfied, the God of Thunder walked away. Raiden would later deny it to his brother that the mere sight of them wearing his hat made his heart beat faster.

Standing there, the tea long forgotten, (Y/n) watched as Raiden turned the corner. Did he just flirted with them? Touching the hat as if to make sure this wasn't all a dream, they laughed. Who were they to refuse a gift from a God.

Later that night, they would force Raiden to lay down, his head on their laps, so they could marvel and play with his hair.

* Takes you shopping for car parts and decorations when you need them

* Is your biggest supported hands down. When you win a race will immediately give hugs, praise and kisses.

Lost motivation for this one, and it’s been sitting in my drafts for a million years so I’ll only do these three fellas.

Liu Kang

Being a god, he had seen his fair share of unusual things, big and small, yet even this took him by surprise. Walking through the woods near the Wu Shi Academy, his bright glowing eyes took in the serene environment around him, centering his mind and relieving the stress simultaneously.

It wasn't long before he was stopped in his tracks, a bewildering sight before him, a sleek black panther. Your fur bristled down your back, your ears folded as you bared your sharp canines to him in fear. Your fur was slightly tinted red, flesh wedged between your teeth, and a brown leather strap circled your neck. A now broken chain connected to a loop in the collar, a gash severed your side in your fight for freedom. You were once a pet, a toy, your existence solely for the entertainment of humans, your mother slaughtered in front of you and your siblings sold at auctions. You were subjected to cruelty, the sick treatment of your kind made your stomach churn, you weren't about to let it happen again.

You bared your teeth once more, a deep guttural hiss left your throat, this human was strange, his eyes bright like headlights. If you weren't so afraid, you would be curious, his aura felt..safe, comfortable, yet you didn't let up on your defenses. You didn't dare move, the gash on your side stinging and irritated. Dirt festered the wound further from your earlier scuffle with your captors.

The human put his hands up, kneeling down to your level with a smile. He didn't move forward yet strangely, he didn't run away in fear. You nearly gave in to your curiosity, but the memories of similar behavior from your captors only to be met with betrayal lingered in the back of your mind, freezing you in place. Your hissing ceased, your breathing still rapid, reflecting your inner battle and fear for your life.

“I mean you no harm.” Just his voice in itself brought you a small amount of peace. Slowly, you stepped closer towards him. Your nose held high to sniff the scent carried through your nostrils from the gentle breeze of the forest. He didn’t smell like your captors, no, quite the opposite. Sensing your unease, he stood, taking a small step back. “Come, let us tend to those wounds.” As he began retreating where he came, you followed silently behind.

Raiden and Kung Lao

“No way, that has to be a beetle!” Kung Lao brought his finger to point at the small bug, having harshly removed it from its cozy home while farming. “Look at that, see?” He gestures to the shiny bit on the back, “definitely a beetle.” Raiden rolled his eyes at his antics, “we have more important things than this debate, Kung Lao.” He tilts his head, raising a brow at his best friend. “Oh come on Raiden, just admit that I’m right,” Kung Lao brought one hand to sit on his hip, while the other gripped the hoe, leaning his weight on it slightly. Raiden didn’t even entertain the idea. Instead, he simply rolled his eyes before resuming his vigorous harvest of cabbages.

Kung Lao had a witty reply at the tip of his tongue, ready to further irritate his friend. Until a sudden commotion reached their ears, causing them to perk up and look to eachother with confusion. In the center of the village, a crowd had formed. Various villagers stood in a circle with their arms raised in defense at the thing in the center of it. Children who were once playing, now cower inside their homes. “What’s going on here?” Raiden asked, a villager running in fear had stopped to answer him, “tiger!” Perplexed, the two men looked to each other before pushing their way through to the center. The villager certainly wasn’t lying, there in the center of the group was a tiger, whipping around with massive teeth bared in defense. Its ears were flattened, stature low as if ready to run at any moment. It didn’t seem to be looking to hurt anyone, more like it looked afraid and confused.

Raiden and Kung Lao pushed further towards the center, standing before you with outstretched arms and palms foreword to convey their means for peace. “Everyone stand back,” Kung Lao ordered, not once taking his eyes off you. They didn’t look at you in fear, their eyes wide in both shock and awe. What a magnificent creature, Raiden thought to himself while he admired your stripes and fearsome display. The group surrounding you slowly became more sparse and spaced out, easing your stress only a little. You brought your focus to the two in front of you, another guttural warning sent their way. “It is okay, we mean you no harm,” Raiden took a small step towards you, hoping that if you were to run away from him that it would be in the direction of the nearby forestry. You were not hurt, but had followed a goat towards the village and had been found by terror ridden villagers. Raiden followed suit, mirror Kung Lao to, in theory, say they mean no harm in a language you understand. You took a second to glance to your right, where you could see the luscious greenery of the forest, peeking through two humans stood side by side. All you have to do is wait for the right moment, and bolt for safety between them.

Raiden could see you look, he glanced as well to meet where you were looking. He knew what you wanted, and was willing to help. He pointed slowly towards the two in your way, still keeping a heavy gaze in your direction, “you two, move to the side — slowly.” They did just that, moving at a snails pace to avoid causing you further panic. All the while, you were stiff and still, unsure and frankly, feeling unsafe. Raiden gestured to where you were looking with a steady hand, “we won’t hurt you,” he spoke softly. You stayed completely still for a moment, weighing your options and stalling out of fear. Was this a trick? Humans always play tricks, but what other options do you have?

With a surge of adrenaline, you burst into a sprint towards the entrance to the woods. As you neared, you slowed your pace to a trot before reaching a full stop, just before the entrance to your home. You turned to give one last look to the men. A small huff flaring your nostrils.

Raiden and Kung Lao watched you retreat into the forest, disappearing behind the shrubbery. A smirk played on Kung Lao’s lips, elbowing Raiden in the side, “so, still think it’s not a beetle?”

Training at the Wu Shi Academy was tougher than it seemed. At first when Lord Liu Kang had approached them, (Y/n) was weary. However, the god had proven to be quite convincing and so (Y/n) had begrudgingly agreed.

One thing was for sure, those monks knew how to pick their location. The Wu Shi Academy was simply jawbreaking. Whether it was from the cherry blossoms or the traditional Chinese structure, everything around the temple left whoever came gawking.

What the god hadn’t predicted once every potential champion gathered at the academy, was for two of them to get into an rivalry instantly. Since day one, Kung Lao and (Y/n) were at each other’s throats. Most of the time, Lao would be the one to instigate the verbal back and forth. Until one day, (Y/n) got fed up with the snarky comments of the other man and took things physical. Did Kung Lao learn his lesson after this? Of course not. It seemed the man was fueled even more by it.

This went on for weeks, even months. So much so that whenever they would fight, Johnny would roll his eyes announcing to the rest of the group that the “old married couple was bickering again”.

Eventually, Lord Liu Kang decided to intervene.

That’s how (Y/n) found themselves forced into a sparring match against Kung Lao. This time, their kombat would be supervised by the god himself. Of course, Johnny did not want to miss such a thing and forced Kenshi to come along. Raiden was also present if only to try and calm his brother down if such need arose.

Round one was given to (Y/n) after a well thrown uppercut had knocked Kung Lao out for a few seconds.

Round two found Kung Lao as the winner. His quick mastery of his new weapon had offered him the unpredictability.

Down to the last round, both kombatant were bruised and slightly exhausted. Each looking into the other's eyes, determined to show the other who was truly the best.

“I promise not to go too hard on you” Kung Lao said snuggly.

“Oh but I like it hard” Came the smooth response of (Y/n) which made the farmer freeze.

Behind them, Johnny whistled. The tip of Kung Lao’s ears changed to a barely visible shade of red. Glaring at the superstar, Kung Lao readied himself for the last match

Once the countdown had reached zero and the two kombatant were on each other, (Y/n) took advantage of the new found shyness of the other. Flirty remarks flew out of their mouth whenever they could. Surprisingly, Kung Lao would join in the flirting. He wasn’t bad either.

Kung Lao fell to the ground, raising sand as he landed. Although he was quickly back on his feet, they couldn’t help themselves.

“You know, you’d look good underneath me.”

More whistling in the back, but they didn’t pay it any attention. Their eyes were laser focused on Kung Lao, enjoying the way their flirting seemed to affect the other. This went on and on, until Kung Lao misplaced his left leg a tad bit too far apart from the other, giving them the opportunity to make their fatal blow.

“(Y/n)’s win.”

Approaching the sulking Lao, they extended their hand toward the man.

“Better luck next time, handsome.”

Accepting the offered hand, Kung Lao tried to regain his snarky attitude. For the first time since their arrival, (Y/n) gave him a genuine smile.

“ I think we started on the wrong foot, how about we try again?”

Only now realising that he had yet to let go of their hand, Kung Lao squeezed it gently before letting it go.

“Sounds good to me.”

Later, during the night’s diner, Kung Lao would be victim to the teasing of one annoying superstar. Even Raiden joined in as well as Kenshi. Ah the betrayal, Kung Lao swore he would get his revenge on them one day.

A/n: Omg, I Love this idea. I hope I did it justice. Fun fact: I actually looked up some mating rituals which reptiles and other animals do for this, and I got an eyeful, so I'm traumatized lol. Syzoth has had feelings for you for quite a while, how could he not You were so loving and warm. You always made him welcome and loved, a much-needed comfort after the loss of his family. He loved being around you you never failed to put a smile on his face. He loves so many things about you that it would take hours to name them all. Others have noticed how head-over-heels in love with you he is. Kung Lao jokes about how you two will be walking down the aisle one day. Though Syzoth doesn't know what this "aisle" is or why you would be walking down it, but he wants to spend the rest of his life with you.

But Syzoth feels unsure, he has just lost his family, or he has just learned of the loss of his family, how possibly could he move on from them so soon? But you are so amazing though, he can't get you off of your mind. He can't help but worry about what life would be like without you. His heart broke at the idea of you and him not being together, he had to try even if you didn't feel the same. After much, he decides to do it, he is going to woo you and, hopefully, make you his mate for life. When it comes to flirting, Syzoth only has ever known the Zetarrian way. But surely that is enough. Surely the mating rituals for humans are no different than it is for Zattarians.

The next moment he sees you he will immediately start the mating rituals. He'll change into his real form to display his colour patterns in their full glory hoping that it'll attract you, but you just compliment him and walk off. He then will go behind you and bump his chin on the back of your head to let you know that he's ready to mate with you, unfortunately, you just think he's being playful and laugh. It appears that his simple wooing practices is not working, so he takes things up more extreme measures. This include giving you dead animal carcasses (or what you hope were animals) as gifts, twigs, leaves and branches for you to make a nest, he introduces you to a nice cave where you can raise your young.

Syzoth is trying his hardest to win your attraction, even going as far as fighting and chasing off potential rivals for your affection even if they were his friends. He has attempted a mating call, but you ran away in fear of the demonic screeching that came out of his mouth. It soon dawns on Syzoth that nothing is working. In fact, he seems to be pushing you further and further away with his advances. He doesn't want to lose you, but he fears that he's scaring you. Everything that was seen as acceptable or good in his homeland seems to be seen as repulsive up here. This was much more complicated in this world than he had ever anticipated. Syzoth can't help but panic, he doesn't want to lose you, he loves you with every fibre of his being. He needs someone, anyone, to help him. Someone who what they're doing when it comes to flirting...

"Well, Well, Well, looks like a certain Romeo needs my help." Johnny Cage Cage said with a smirk as he welcomed Syzoth into his mansion. "I see after you finish helping whoever this 'Romeo' is, can you help me? I desperately need your aid in the wooing of (Y/n)." Syzoth said with a sense of desperation in his voice. "(Y/n), huh?" Johnny said knowingly with an impressed smirk. "She's quite the catch, I don't blame you for trying to tap that.". Syzoth shook his head at this "I've already tried the tapping, but it didn't work. Nothing I do seems to work." There was a sense of desperation Syzoth's, one which Johnny recognized all too well. "Well, you've been to the right place. The ladies love me. Just look at Kitana." "Didn't she break your nose for flirting with her?" "That's beside the point, what is the point is that I am THE ladies man. So if you wanna know to get with (Y/n), I'm you man." Syzoth leans in, both out of intrigue as well as desperation. "What must I do?"

It was evening time now at the Wu Shi Academy. You have found the perfect place to relax after such a stressful day. Though you could not admit it, you also came here in hopes of avoiding Syzoth. He has been acting strangely as of late, you don't know why. You were worried for him, he was scarring you and you didn't know what to do. He seems to be only acting this around you, why? Did you do something to upset him? Does he hate you? Maybe this was some weird Zettarian tradition that you didn't know about. You didn't know, all you knew you could do was give him some space for now, and maybe talk to Liu Kang if things got any worse.

Suddenly, you notice something in the corner of your eye. It was Syzoth. When you see him, you quickly rise to your feet and attempt to leave, hoping that he won't see you. "(Y/n)!" Dammit, he saw you. You turn around to face him, and as you do, you feel your heart racing. This always happens to you whenever you are in his presence, he just has this effect on you. You sometimes lose your train of thought with his smile, the way he says your name gives you butterflies, and many times you have to fight off blushing at every word he says. Syzoth finally catches up to you, you both stand there for some time awkwardly staring at each other, unsure what to say to the other.

Syzoth took a deep breath, he silently prayed that what Johnny told him was right. This was probably his last chance to court you, f he fails now then he won't know what to do next. He's already embarrassed himself around you enough. "I'm...sorry if I've been acting strange around you lately, I-I didn't mean to hurt you." He says with a calm and soothing voice, trying his best to put a charming foot forward. "It's just that you're so amazing and pretty-I mean beautiful-no-I mean- I wasn't-I'm sorry." He said in shame at fumbling his words. He looks at you in the eyes as he clears his voice "I have been acting so weirdly because I was trying to court you the way my people did. Johnny told me that's not how things worked up here, he told me to talk to you and tell you how I feel...well he told me to do other things too but I don't that would end well. Alright, here goes." He inhales and exhales just one more time before he continues. "I am in love with you (Y/n), you make me feel seen whenever you look at me, you make me feel safe when you hold my hand, and you make me feel welcome when you are by my side. Every moment I am with you is an ecstasy I cannot describe. I never want us to end. I wish to be with you for the rest of my days, possibly raise a family together, or not. All I desire is you, for it to be you who comes back to me, I want to feel your flesh against mine, I wish for you to belong to me and me to you. I want you, every last bit of you." He exhales in relief as he finishes. His eyes fall onto you as you process what you just heard. "Please don't break my nose."

It is a most painful second as he waits for a reply. His heart pounds within his chest, he feels sick for some reason, and his eyes stay on you as he pleadingly waits for an answer. At this point, Syzoth begins to lose hope. I have failed. He slowly and silently begins to concede. Perhaps this wasn't meant to be after all.

Syzoth opens his mouth, planning to apologise and leave. But you act first. You throw yourself into arms. Even though this sudden action leaves him confused, he does not hesitate to wrap his arms around you and hold you close. There is smile on your face as you pull away, you continue your barrage of affection by assaulting his face with kisses. Syoth holds you tighter as he returns you kisses. "I'd love to, Syzoth, but let's just takes things slow first." Syzoth only replied with a nod. The smile on his face said everything else. The joy he felt inside felt unmatched to any other feeling he's ever felt, the future suddenly felt brighter for him and you.

He never thought much of it until one day, the cat turned out to be something else as a naked and rather extremely attractive person, sat on his lap where the cat previously was.*ੈ✩‧₊˚

༉‧₊˚✧Raiden's hand ducked under the table, handing you a piece of his breakfast while the champions talked. You happily accepted it and meowed at the man which caught the attention of the others.

Johnny raised a brow. "That cat's always around, huh. Who does it even belong to?"

"Does it matter," Kenshi spoke up, clicking his tongue to catch your attention. You smiled and decided to indulge in his actions, walking over to brush your head against his hand. "What if it's just a stray who likes to wander this area? Either way, I heard the monks take care of them. Their name is Y/n, I think."

Raiden smiles, looking down at you. "Y/n seems to enjoy our company."

Kung Lao scoffs. "Yeah right! They nearly bit me yesterday, I think they like you the most Raiden."

"You think?" He says, innocent eyes gleaming as he watched you trot back to him.

The champions then continued to eat their breakfast, making sure they were ready for another day's training while you sat yourself amongst Raiden's lap. His hand would brush against you and feed you bits of food every now and then. You could say you were being selfish, taking advantage of your cat form just to get close to your crush. But it quickly ended when Liu Kang announced that training would begin. You couldn't help but glare at the god. Raiden carefully picked you up, petting your head before walking toward the training grounds. Unfortunately, as you tried to follow him out the door, Liu Kang's foot blocked your path.

"Y/n," He gave you a stern look, almost like a parent scolding their child.

"What?" You whispered back.

"It's rather immature for you to be doing this. When will you introduce yourself to them normally?"

You huff, sitting down with an obvious annoyance portrayed by your tail. "I just don't wanna, plus, Raiden won't give me as much attention as he does now."

Liu kang rolls his eyes and lifts you up. You unwillingly let him, ears tucked back. "You're just like your previous self." He sighs.

"Oh really, how was I like in the prior timeline?"

"Obsessed with Raiden and always clinging to him." He says with amusement. "I thought maybe you'd be more tame this time, but you're exactly the same."

You chuckle. "Y/n's always gotta be Y/n."

"Unfortunately." Liu Kang smiles, carrying you over to where the men were training. He held you in his arms while observing the champions stances. You felt proud watching how attentive Raiden was in his movements. He was very dedicated to his role.

"Have you decided on who earth realm's champion will be?" You ask.

Liu kang hums, his own hand brushing along your fur. "I have decided, yes. But I'd rather keep it to myself until the time arrives."

You nod in understanding, turning your gaze back to the champions, eyes glued to one in particular. He was the sweetest man you've ever laid your eyes on. You could remember clearly when Liu Kang first arrived with the initiatives and your heart thumped. It was like love at first sight and because of it, you feared of showing them your human form, especially to Raiden.

You snapped out of your thoughts noticing the orange hue of the sunset. "Has time truly passed this quickly?" You questioned to yourself.

Liu Kang then placed your small body back onto the ground. You look up to him and he tilts his head in the direction of Raiden, a small smile on his face. You stuck your tongue out at him and quickly padded your way after him.

Raiden hadn't noticed you following him, your small paws making it extremely difficult for him to hear you, but you halted your steps as you saw him turn into the path that led straight to the Wu Shi hot springs. Your mind quickly flourished with many thoughts of Raiden's physic and you suddenly felt light-headed.

"Should I follow him? Ugh I'm such a creep. What will he think if I showed him my human form? Would he still like me?!"

You cursed under your breath, tiny paws taking slow steps one after another until you arrived to the hot springs. And there he was, his chest and lower half submerged in the hot liquid. Your mouth went dry as your cat like eyes stared at him. He was completely unaware, head tilted back with his eyes shut, a small smile on his face as he let out a satisfied sigh.

You slowly approached him, knowing damn well all he had was a white little towel around his waist to cover him. Your paws dapped the water, testing the temperatures before entering. Even though it was shallow, your tiny body felt as if it were a lake. Tiny paws swishing in the water to keep you afloat.

Raiden's eyes flickered open, seeing you swimming in tiny circles. "Y/n?" He calls. "I thought cats didn't like water." He chuckles.

You meow, because what else could you possibly do without freaking him out.

He then moves forward and your brain short-circuits. "Oh lord, oh lord, his body!!!" You internally squeal. His hands wrap around your tiny frame and pulls you close to his chest and your eyes were stunned. "Why did I do this to myself!"

He cuddles you into his chest, content with relaxing in the hot springs with you, but you were having an internal war in your head. Dirty thoughts swarming and torturing your mind.

In a panic, a soft poof sound erupts out of nowhere, pink smoke enveloping the entirety of the hot springs.

Raiden coughed a little, swatting away the strange pink smoke until the place had finally cleared. He placed his hands back on what he assumed would be the cat but was met with a bare. . . human chest. His hands now on someone's waist rather than a cats.

Your eyes met his and silence filled the area aside from the noises of the nightly critters. You gulped, fear consuming you as your legs were around Raiden's thighs, hands on his shoulder. "H-hi." You say nervously.

Raiden in complete shock, trails his eyes from your head to your waist and then back up at you. Quickly, his hands fly to his sides and his eyes shut. "I'm sorry!" He yells. "Um- who are you, if you don't mind me asking?" He questions, eyes still screwed shut.

"Y/n." You say feeling awkward about the whole situation, but you couldn't bring yourself to pull away.

"T-the cat. . .?" Raiden's eyes hesitantly open back up, quickly training them to only look at your face.

You nod. "I'm friend's with Liu Kang. . . I was supposed to introduce myself when you guys got here, but I never did- properly at least."

Raiden nods his head slowly and purses his lips. He was doing everything in his power not to get a boner from the way your ass was sat atop of him, a mere white towel separating you two.

"Umm," He looks away. "It's nice to finally meet you then, Y/n."

"Yeah same. I wasn't supposed to transform just now though. . ." Your voice trails off. "Perhaps a malfunction. . .?" You whisper to yourself, brows furrowed in thought.

Your eyes quickly shoot to Raiden's as you feel his hands place themselves on your hips. He gives you a sheepish smile, before guiding you off of him and standing. "I'll get you a towel, please stay here." He bows quickly and rushes off.

You watch him, eyes looking at his ass for a bit before your palms slap your flushed face. "God, I'm such a creep!"

By the time he came back, he helped you out of the hot spring and covered you up with the towel. You noticed how he had his attire back on besides his jacket. "Here," He gestures the fabric toward you. "It's going to be cold on the way back."

Your eyes flicker between the jacket and him, gingerly taking it from his hands and draping it around you. "Thank you." You look away in embarrassment.

Raiden smiles. "We should had back, it's late."

You agree, both you and Raiden walking back toward the academy grounds. You felt a little guilty as Raiden stood out in the cold, shirtless. It was a peculiar situation, you and Raiden casting each other glances without each other knowing. Raiden had to admit that you were extremely attractive and he never thought his mind would be addled with such lovey dovey scenarios. Perhaps in his younger days, but now? He had never pondered on such things till he laid his eyes on you.

Raiden cleared his throat. "Should I walk you back to where you stay?" He asks.

"No it's okay. I'd rather you get back first, after all I'm technically of higher status. I must make sure the champions are taken care of, then I'll head back to Lord Liu Kang." You say, head turning to look at Raiden. Raiden had his brows furrowed in thought and it worried you. "Is something wrong Raiden?" You ask.

He hesitates for a moment. "I um. . . you're relationship with Lord Liu Kang. . . is it-"

"We're just close friends, nothing more. Why? Are you looking to start something?" You tease him a little, your confidence growing as you grew more comfortable in your human form.

Raiden raises his hands up in embarrassment. "No no, I mean. . . it does sound nice. You're very attractive and I- nevermind. I'm rambling, sorry."

You chuckle and notice you guys arrived to Raiden's room.

Raiden lets out a disappointed sigh. "I'll be seeing you then?" He says.

You shift in your spot, hand gripping onto his jacket. Your eyes shifting to the distance and then back to Raiden. You so badly didn't want this interaction to end, craving more time with the kind man.

"If it's not too much. Perhaps I could stay the night?" You nervously looked to him and his eyes widened.

His hand scratched the back of his neck, a creeping blush upon his features. "O-of course. You can definitely stay the night!" He says a bit more excited than he intended to.

He opens the door for you and you bow walking through. The scent of his room filling your nostrils. You smiled seeing how organized and clean it was.

"Someone knows how to take care of themselves." You give a halfhearted laugh.

Raiden chuckles. "I try, afterall I'm just a guest here."

You hum, sitting yourself on his bed. You were going to unzip Raiden’s jacket but halted, realizing that all you had was a towel to cover yourself without it. Raiden seemed to notice your concern and blinked in thought. "Sorry, maybe we didn't think-"

You were quick to cut him off, raising a hand to silence him. "It's okay. . .if you're okay with it. . ."

Raiden gulps. "I uh, yeah. I'm okay with it." He says, eyes watching how you began to strip yourself to nothing. And boy did Raiden keel over at the sight. You smirked and gestured your head to him, waiting for him to shed his clothing too.

By the time both you and Raiden settled on the bed, it was evident that it was not going to be a simple sleepover. Your body quickly going over his. “I might be selfish, but I don’t think I wanna just sleep here.” You whisper, ghosting your lips over Raiden’s. Your hand trailing up his arm to his neck.

Raiden’s eyes looked down at your lips, eyes now half-lidded, his breath becoming more heavy at the sexual tension. “I don’t think I just want to sleep either.” He says, hands massaging the sides of your body, his hardened dick swelling with need.

And your lips were on each other, hands passionately exploring each other's bodies throughout the night. The room was filled with the sounds of passionate sex, two lovers eager to discover more about each other and please each other beyond words as the night went on.

However, the next morning was extremely hectic as Raiden was swarmed with questions on what he did last night- hickeys littering his neck and collarbone.

Liu Kang slowly turned his head to you in your cat form with the biggest smirk a cat could ever have.

"Y/n." He calls your name in a serious tone.
