A/N: Did this first instead of doing my schoolworks 😭 the brainrot was getting to me also i'll prolly make this a series of sort. will post more of my hc in a few days. just need to take care of this hectic week !!

The luminescent lights of the aquariums never felt so alive right now. The corals dipped in radiance, basked by the effulgent energy. Eyes beaded to the lone swimmer of the still waves, their figure illuminated by the jellyfish. Such phylum glowing bright like cyan pearls that adorned the flourishing abode. 

The dorm felt lively.

The clattering of utensils, shuffles of quick footsteps of workers, and the chatter of students who all made way into the lounge for a dine and rest. Violet hued interiors provided regality and sophistication as if wealth and ambition were morphed in it, giving such a satisfying sight of the interior for one to see. Employees clad in black and gray scarves worked diligently, serving their dear customers with dishes and exquisite drinks. But drew the attention of the people was the features of the performer in the tanks.

Draped with nothing but scales and a grin, they swam across the water with elegance. Tendrils of their hair swayed by the motion of the water and the flick of their tail created an enchanting movement. Students watched the performer who worked in silence pulled by a magnetic appeal. The cafe seemed so busy, but time felt slow when they glided in a circular motion. The tank’s colors suited them so much, along with the twinkle in your eyes which blended well with the flowing substance yet stood out in the sight of the viewers.

“Ahahaha! They look so happy swimming right now!” The squeal of an impulsive twin was vocalized, chuckling at the scene of you waving at a student who watched you in the tank with intent. With a delicate smile that pushed your eyes up, the student flinched and returned to their meal with flustered cheeks. 

It was a usual day in the lounge but you enjoyed this part of your job nonetheless. 

Small fishes that paddled their way to you were gently caressed by the hands that cared for them. Hands of which happily poked at them behind the glass screen of the aquarium and gave company to their little world. A little titter from your mouth and a fish zoomed behind your neck, pushing through the flowing mop of hair that rippled like an upward seagrass. 

“How bubbly,” Nobody can hear the light whisper of your remark in the waters as you tenderly prodded the fish that caught your attention earlier.

A few spectated the simple scene but Jade smiled under his hand. So endearing of your antics, he presumed. The corners of his lips ghosted a genuine curve and his gloved hand neared his mouth and urged a cough in his throat as he went on with his task.

Few onlookers had their heads boldly turned to your appearance behind the encased glass. Curious eyes and those who seek of entertainment trailed behind you, of course you were standing out in the background. Your shelled tail flapped again as you went near the glass, hovering over as few inches were between you and the wall that separated the water and the dorm. 

A small fry approached the tank and slowly pressed their digits to the glass. They had no distinguishable appearance, you mused. But the hand they placed made a sentiment to you. As you drift near the glass, you connect your hand back to the student’s palm beyond the transparent panel. You eyed down the individual as they reveled in front your true sea form. Amazement scattered across their face, ignoring the yap of their companions which were calling out to them.

You only smiled back in return, eyes half-opened that took in the appearance of the peculiar person.

“Enjoying [Name]’s little show, Prefect?” 

Azul quipped in, a staff in his hand and the other placed onto his chest. He absolutely didn’t miss the way your eyes subtly lit up by his arrival.

The dorm truly felt lively with your company.

I literally had written up a mini fic showcasing the tweels first meeting Shrimper!Reader… and lost it. Have no idea where it is. Searched through my drafts and got pissed, so just started over from scratch.

Can be read as platonic but with a lot of sus behavior ngl

The Basics (aka an Introduction to Shrimpmer!Reader)

Shrimpmer!Reader is a cleaner shrimp, a type of shrimp known for cleaning off parasites, algae, insects, and other bad stuff from fish. They’ve even been known to eat the mucus and infectious material around a fish’s wound to reduce infection and aid in healing. There are different species of cleaner shrimp, ‘scarlet skunk’ or ‘white-striped’ cleaner shrimps being known for cleaning the mouths of moral eels specifically.

Shrimpmer!Reader specifically comes from a family of cleaner shrimps that have a long-standing business partnership with the Leeches. Their family provides their cleaning and patch-up services to better the mereels’ health and heal any injuries, and in turn, the Leeches provide protection. It’s a mutualistic relationship where both benefit. And congrats, they were assigned to the tweels when they were but a mere fry and twins were still little elvers.

But what is it that Shrimpmer!Reader does exactly? Well, they have a cleaning station set up (i.e. a flat rock for the tweels to lay on while they work) and they go over the twins’ body, ridding it of any parasites and other debris. Picking at their scales and skin like a fine-tooth comb. They’ll even clean their sharp teeth using specialized brushes and tools to make sure nothing is stuck and strengthen the dentin (real shrimp physically go inside eel’s mouths, but shrimpmers are too big for that). Whenever the twins come to them with an injury after one of their scuffles, Shrimpmer!Reader will clean and disinfect the wound, being sure to remove any parasites, then wrap up the wound to heal faster.

In terms of anatomy and size difference, Shrimpmer!Reader is much smaller compared to the twins, but not on the same scale difference as real shrimps and moray eels. They’re not tiny enough to fit in their mouths but are small enough to be carried with ease. The best comparison I can give is like with the dwarves and Neige, but the tweels’ eel forms are much bigger compared to regular humans, so Shrimpmer!Reader would be shorter compared to a human as well. Floyd would joke about them being “child-sized.” Just like the Octatrio, their bottom half is that of a white-striped cleaner shrimp while the rest of their body has the matching miscolored skin, fin ears, and a pair of long, white antenna on the top of their head. No, their hands aren’t claws/pincers, but they do have sharp nails that aid in cleaning.

The Shrimp and the Eels Headcanons

Like mentioned above, Shrimpmer!Reader was assigned to Floyd and Jade back when they were all still children. Each new generation of Leech ends up being assigned a cleaner shrimp who are around the same age so that they can grow together and build a proper symbiotic bond. You just ended up unlucky ‘cause Mr. and Mrs. Leech had twins and you were the only available one in your family at the time. A two for one deal, as it were.

Rough first meet (the twins are asses even back then), but you eventually adjusted and they learned how much they actually enjoy getting all those nasties off of them. You were gentle and efficient, it was very soothing, almost therapeutic to them. But it was only after one particular cleaning where Floyd came to you, a week after he got into a fight, wound infected and riddled with parasites, that they fully realized just how much they needed you. Neither twin skipped a cleaning or wound treatment after that.

You are tiny and not built for fighting, so the twins are more than happy to do so for you!~ Some predator is stalking you, trying to get a taste? Floyd is already grabbing them by the tail, pulling them away from you and towards his own dangerously sharp jaws. Another merperson is bulling you, picking on your smaller size? Jade’s looming right behind, tail at the ready to squeeze the life out of them. Most of your patch-up work was from attending to their wounds sustained in fights defending you.

Floyd and Jade both have their tails wrapped around some poor, unfortunate soul who was pulling on your antenna. Jade is taunting the crying fry while Floyd is “playfully” biting their tail fins.

“Jade, Floyd, let them go already. You’re going to get in trouble…”

You do meet Azul later on, though never quite befriend him per say. His contracts made you uncomfortable and untrusting of his intentions. In turn, Azul was stiff and reserved around you on the account of the overly protective eels threatening to chew his tentacles off if he tried anything.

You’re not a student at NRC nor a student of RSA. Magic isn’t your forte (or your concern really), the tweels are. Which is why you do visit the schoolgrounds frequently, especially after the two (mainly Floyd) start complaining about “needing their shrimp.” They’re not even in their eel forms most of the time, but they do still get into fights and the nurse on staff isn’t good enough.

Congrats, you’re now the Leech’s designated Health Support Cleaner Shrimp, or whatever bullshit the twins pulled out of their tails when forcing requesting to Crowley that you be allowed to stay at Octavinelle! Double congrats, because you also work at Mostro Lounge as a janitor because you literally clean for a living!

In your human form, you are much shorter than most of the other students and you have two long cowlicks that resemble your antenna. You aren’t the biggest fan of this form, finding two legs to be difficult to navigate, especially since you kind of skipped the prep class. Floyd was impatient and claimed him and Jade would just teach you themselves. An unwise decision really.

I mean, you could also just request to have the potion adjusted so you can be taller too, I guess idk the twins aren’t going to tell you that.

You sometimes turn back into your merform with the tweels and swim together because you miss it. Floyd definitely missed curling his tail around his little shrimp and pinning you down with his much bigger size. He especially loves to flip you on your back and watch your little feetsies wiggle around in a panic.

Jade misses the cleanings more than anything else. Being a vice dormleader while also working at a lounge and doing schoolwork is stressful for one eel. So, being able to just relax and have you attend to him while he prattles on about mushrooms is absolute heaven. That’s not to say he doesn’t mess with you either. Jade will gladly use your height against you by putting your cleaning supplies on a higher shelf, so you’re forced to ask him for help, teasing you all the while.

No, you can’t clean anybody else, merfolk or otherwise. Only them. Azul almost lost a tentacle after suggesting such a thing when he noticed business was running slower.

You’re their cleaner shrimp, and they’re your eels. Anybody aware of the Leech’s influence know to back off lest they end up missing under mysterious circumstances.

Oh yeah, and the tweels, at some point, made it a habit to kiss you after you finished cleaning them under the guise of you “cleaning their teeth.” It’s become something so casual between you three now that when Azul caught sight of the twins and you locking lips, he nearly fell over at not realizing the three of you were (supposedly) an item.

azul’s scodling seemed to slowly die out as the dorm head realized his vice dorm head wasn’t even listening to him. wasn’t even acknowledging him in the slightest.

an irritated sigh leaves his lips. azul thought it better to use a different approach at getting information from his shocked friend.

yet the moment he opened his mouth, floyd decided it was his round for questioning. yet azul didn’t seem to have the security clearance to understand the insides of their code.

“…kinda reminded me of a grouper, don’t you think?”

jade looked to his brother. his heart was hammering against his ribcage painfully. knots were being tightened in his gut painfully. his thoughts were racing painfully. everything about you was painful so far.

my honest reaction after writing jade get so overwhelmed by being in the same proximity of reader for the first time that he almost gets hit by a car 🤭 :

Octavinelle Trio x Reader who is autistic with a special interest in Moray Eels

Azul Ashengrotto

Azul first laid eyes on you for purely business reasons. During the holiday season, the Mostro Lounge stays understaffed most times, and you were oh so kindly falling into his flourished word traps to strike a deal.

He, however, would have never expected all you wanted from him was to know all about Moray Eels that he, as a merfolk, knew. That was... rather odd and maybe even boring?

He got intrigued, were you trying something with the twins? They were his most loyal workers, so he couldn't allow you to do anything.

When you get into a relationship, after much hard work on both parts, he expected, no, hoped you would change this special interest from the slimy eels to the much more interesting octopus.

You... didn't quite catch the hints, though, and this has led to some rather jealous and insecure moments with Azul. Especially if the twins were involved.

One could say that he was so insecure, in fact, that he felt ashamed of even showing his octomerman form to you.

But after you realized all this jealousy and insecurity on his part, you did all you could to show how much you love him and appreciate him for the way he is.

Now your eel-filled room has a little octopus cove, full of things that remind you of Azul or that he enjoys so that he has a safe space to come to.

He still will glare at your Eel stuff when cuddling, almost as if the carnivores were real and trying to get a bite out of you.

"I suppose it wouldn't be bad to stay a bit in here, with you, if you promise me you won't be cuddling those slimy eels to sleep, but rather this much more elegant and cuddly octopus plushie..."

Floyd Leech

Floyd first approached you on a whim. He was bored, you looked interesting enough, and you didn't seem to have any sense of self to run away from him in fear of getting squeezed till you popped, and as such, he stuck for a while.

You were quite different from most people he knew, and sometimes you reminded him a bit of himself or Jade, which gave you some points on his side.

The thing that made him stay, though, was the moment you opened your mouth and asked him if he ever saw a Moray Eel.

You're really asking that? To him? A literal Eel-merman? Hah!

He did indulge you for a while because you actually seemed to know your facts. He would just push you around, sometimes carry you on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, while you blabbered out.

When it came to you two dating, it was very much a surprise for everyone. Floyd? Sticking to someone for so long? That's new.

Floyd tends to cling to you a lot, and even though it gets boring to him real quick that you repeat your eel facts, he cannot for the life of him stop you, since when you ramble is the best time to cuddle.

Floyd will, though, get easily jealous of your eel collection. You have the real eel deal (ha!), and you keep cuddling the plushies? Meanie :(

He will constantly just take the plushie off of your hands and plop himself on top of you. No fake eel, just the real deal.

He didn't really tell you he was a mer-eel, he actually just oh so happened to be taking a swim when you were close, and oh, look, he is an eel!

He lets you play with his fins and will take any chance he can get to use you as his cleaning shrimp to get sand off of him. He just like how your little cute hands feel scrubbing the sand from him, it is like exfoliation!

"hey hey, guppy, wanna do something fun? ya can bring the tiny morays with ya, if ya don't mind a bit of dirt, ahahah~!"

Jade Leech

First met you as a tutor for your work at the Mostro Lounge, per Azul's request.

Found your mannerisms quite interesting, you reminded him of himself and a bit of Floyd too.

He was happy when you didn't distance yourself from him when he talked about his interest in mountains or Mushrooms.

In return, you told him you really really really liked Eels. Specially Morays.

He faked not knowing it and let you talk about it since as long as he could rant about his fungi findings he didn't mind having to hear what he already knew.

When you two began dating, he was very perceptive of your needs. sometimes to a scary level, actually.

He doesn't mind at all your eel-filled room. he finds it endearing, and he even uses some miniatures you buy to put on terrariums he gifts to you.

Autistic x autistic relationship, basically.

He will use your eel interest against you in a silly way, like "I can show you an incredible moray fact if you perhaps go hiking with me :)"

Tbh if you are with him, you should do the same. Makes things fun for you both.

Floyd and Azul are so tired of hearing the both of you talk about each other and enabling each other's interests, but Jade will never judge you. And he will actually shove shiitake mushrooms down other's throats if they do judge you.

The moment he showed you his mer form as per your request, after knowing from Floyd that they both are eels.

Jade doesn't mind you picking and prodding around his mer form if it makes you happy, but if you keep your guard down he will fake drowning you "just for fun :)"

Make sure to hide his mushrooms in return, or he will try funny business again, just saying.

"Oya~ I would never intend to purposefully hurt you, my pearl. But a predator is inclined to bite when their jaws are so open near a cute prey, fufufu~"

He was definitely very confused when Grim brought a random shrimp in a fishbowl to Octavinelle, but when he found out that it was you he was very worried. Unfortunately, as much as he would like to look after you, he can’t because he’s too busy cooking.

But, there was a moment where the poor cecaelia was too tired. He forgot that you were still you and he thought you were a stray shrimp that one of the students forgot about. He was about to put you in a searing pan when the tweels burst in and pointed out that he was about to cook you. He felt like crap and started crying and apologizing. It was funny to see: Azul apologizing to a shrimp in a bowl.

When you turned back to normal, he was not able to look at a shrimp the same way again. He is definitely not going to continue serving shrimp in the Lounge just in case another student was turned into one just to avoid situations like this.

Jade Leech

He was quite amused when he saw Grim begging him to take you in because he did not know how to care for a shrimp, mainly because he thought the cat was joking. Come to find out that you had actually been turned into a shrimp and now resided within a fish bowl.

Just a few hours later, he went to check on you and his brother only to find out that Floyd had left you in the kitchen. The tweels panicked and caught Azul before he put you in a hot pan. You were shaking, and Jade put you back into your bowl before petting the glass and saying that it was all okay now.

At that point, he and his twin got the rest of the day off so they could look after you. The latter got the idea to go swimming in the big tank, and the former agreed. So, they transformed into their mer-forms and looked after you as you swam about. It truly was adorable to see you in such a tiny form but not scared of two huge eels.

Floyd Leech

He was very excited when Grim walked into the Lounge with you in a fishbowl, shouting about how you were turned into a shrimp. So… his beloved shrimpy is an actual shrimp??? His day went from super shitty to really great in just a few seconds. For the first hour of you being there, he was talking to you in your fishbowl in a baby voice.

But, he did have to go to practice. He really wanted to bring you with, but Jade wrenched the bowl out of his hands and made a compelling argument that the glass might crack and you might die from drying out. Well, it turns out that he came back to the Lounge just in time to tackle Azul before he cooked you. Jade had to pull him off of the Housewarden.

After, the cecaelia gave the tweels the rest of the day off so that you aren’t put in danger like that again, and the two came up with the idea of going swimming with you in the big tank. Floyd had the time of his life just swimming around you and watching as the little shrimp version of you tried your hardest to swim as fast as you could.

Bonus:

Eventually, you got way too tired being a shrimp. You had to swim about in your bowl all day, you almost got cooked alive, Floyd kidnapped you every 5 minutes, and then you went swimming with the tweels. So, as one typically does when they’re tired, you went to sleep.

The three sophomores were all huddled around, just watching in amazement. Floyd definitely snapped a few pictures because it was so freaking adorable. It would be a very sad moment when you transformed back into a human, but to them you would always be their Shrimpy.

I just realized the extra symbolism behind reader being a grouper. cuz you said it was meant to show how they're made for eachother, but why not shrimp then? It's the more well known symbiote for the eels, but then I realized, it's Floyd thing. Calling reader Shrimpy and stuff, and this whole fic is about seperating Jade from Floyd. And Floyds nickname is a misnomer, reader ended up being a grouper, further proving how he and reader arent in sync. idk if this was obvious and im just dumb lol

Yes, exactly!!! I think there's also symbolism in the different mutualisms between both shrimp and moray versus grouper and moray. Shrimp and moray eels will always need one another because they benefit in a way where one is given a meal from cleaning and the other is cleaned (both very vital facets of staying alive and healthy in the sea). Reader has this mindset that she and Floyd are perfect for each other, but throughout the fic you'll see they're a very awkward pairing. ^^;;;

But groupers and moray eels only benefit when it's necessary (i.e. when they both wish to collaborate for the sake of a cooperative hunt). Groupers go out of their way to approach morays, much like how our dear Reader approaches Jade for the deal in the very beginning. :D they work together to accomplish a goal, and they only do so when it's convenient, which is what the majority of Reader and Jade's deal is: convenience. It's convenient that Jade is Floyd's twin who is willing to pretend for Reader's sake, and it's convenient that Reader's obsession allows Jade to manipulate and trick her in secret.

I like to imagine Jade was very pleased when you turned out to be something other than a shrimp mer. ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡) and now your mutualism can be more than just convenience or collaboration. <3

Back in Twisted Wonderland, you were close friends with leech twins named Jade and Floyd but they saw you as more than just a friend. You didn't know how you did it but luckily you managed to escape and return to your own world.

Whenever you saw the sea, you thought of them. You couldn't swim like before. Whenever you put your foot in the water, you felt as if they would find you and be pulled to the bottom of the sea by them.

“Come on Y/n! The sea is very nice." Your friends insisted. You thought, 'It won't hurt for once, and they can't come here.' You joined your friends in swimming. You haven't been in the water for a long time. You felt so relieved that there was no danger anymore. You were so caught up that you didn't realize how far you had come.

"I'd better be back." You said

“Where are you going shrimpy ~”

This sound , no. Impossible! You tried to swim, but something caught your foot. You began to retreat to the bottom of the sea.

You opened your eyes in the water. When you opened your eyes, you saw two eel men. Twins that used to be your friends Jade and Floyd.

“Long time no see prefect”

You couldn't breathe at the bottom of the sea.

“Oh sorry we were so excited to meet you again that we forgot that you can't breathe under the sea,” said Jade with a sadistic grin on his face. You couldn't breathe, you were choking, and it was obvious that he was enjoying it.

“Let me help you” then he kissed you. You were finally able to breathe after Jade kissed you.

“Cough cough how do you-”

“Jade ~ But I was going to kiss shrimp first ~”

Floyd whined.

"Oh sorry Floyd but don't worry we have more time now so we can spend as much time with the prefect as we want"

Octavinelle + jack with a mantis shrimp mer reader

Reader is specifically a peacock mantis shrimp. Spear or club subtype will be specified. This is going to be a bit longer due to that.

Description

Many crustation-mer's human halves replace where the head of the crustation would be, so your lower half has the shrimp body and the curled deadly weapons for arms. You are smaller than most other mers, about 4 feet from head to tail tip. You have bright colorful markings and scale-like coverings along your body. you can see the usual range of color + ultraviolet range. you usually walk along the sea floor, only using your tail to shoot backward from danger. Your shrimp arms either end in a club-like way, with a large blunt end perfect for smashing open clams or shells. Or it is covered with small serrated edges, just like a mantises claws, these are perfect for spearing fish and ensnaring them to keep them from escaping.

Your human form is much weaker in your opinion, it is also fairly small, You're about 4'9". you still have impressive arm strength, easily able to punch through a wall or break bones with a single hit. You also have taught yourself martial arts to improve your form and be able to defend yourself well. you have markings along your body similar to the scales of your mer form and you like to wear bright and colorful clothing.

Octavinelle

Azul: Was very interested in your unique and bright clothing options. "You're rather small, you might need protection~ just sign here and you could have special magical protection and the eel twins to come to your aid! No? why ever not?" You then show that you can easily crumple someone and throw them across a room. He's a bit scared of you at how quickly your arm moved, he almost didn't see it! Still tries to hire you to work for mostro lounge, do you know how beneficial and effective of a bouncer you would be?! He'll pay you well, also because he knows you would crumple him like a piece of paper if he tried to undermine you.

Never would have guessed you were a mer. Stumbled to the pools to relax and found you in your mer form. Complimented you and showed he was slightly envious of your bright and beautiful colors. Complimented your strength when you easily turned a rock to dush with one club punch. Also impressed by how you easily speared a paper out of the air as it fluttered about. Still insists you work at the mostro lounge. You take pride in how much he compliments your mer form and like to show off to him, just to listen to the praises that always lead to him asking for you to work with him. Maybe someday...

Jade: Your bright colors yet defensive attitude were quite the fascinating mix that drew this eel to you. Observes you from a distance and knows not to mess with you physically due to your impressive strength and the many students with broken bones who tried to fight you. Likes to drop hints that he knows what you are and likes to tease you by eating any shrimp dishes when near you just to see you clench your jaw/fists. Likes to see you squirm under his uncomfortable questioning and vague threats.

Found you in your mer form one day at the octavinelle pools when he wanted to stretch out his fins. Slips into the water and tries to sneak up on you. honestly was startled that you turned and struck him with dizzying speed. Knocked onto his back as he was on the floor of the pool. when he got his breath back he weakly complimented your deadly skill with a spear/club. stays away from you but asks to observe your mer form a bit. Also tested your reflexes. you passed his drop test 100%. He's impressed. Tries to convince you to work a bit at the Mostro lounge as a bouncer, no one wants to be winded with one punch. Doesn't defend you since he knows you can defend yourself very well. Sometimes redirects people's anger toward you just to watch them get beaten in less than 10 seconds flat.

Floyd: You're so bright and colorful and tiny! but man can you throw a punch! when he popped up behind you he didn't expect to get a swift gut punch, he likes your bravery! Called you "mantis shrimpy" Wasn't expecting to be so on the nose. He loves to watch you fight, you break things so quickly! you also are able to break out of his grasp when he tried to squeeze you. Your arms move so fast too! He nags you to teach him some moves. Thinks you're super fun and cool! you're one of the only people who will not hesitate to be blunt with Floyd even on his bad-mood days.

On a particularly bad day when you escaped his grasp, he challenged you by saying "you wouldn't be able to beat me in my mer-form little mantis shrimp." You accepted his challenge. "ehhhh? Do you wanna get beaten so badly? fine by me~" He hops into the water and transforms his about 3 times your length. Despite that difference, you stood your ground and transformed as well. His grouchiness dissipated and he almost completely forgot that this was supposed to be a fight. He rushes at you to look you over and squeeze you cause you're so small and cute and pretty! You daze him with a swift club to the chest, winding him. If you had the spear you would have cut into his arm a bit as you redirected his speed past yourself. The eel had sparkles in his eyes as he watches you hold him down with your powerful arms. Happily admits defeat and zooms around you to look at your little form! and asks to take you for a ride on his back someday. Up to you what happens then.

Jack: Honestly, appreciates how you want to get stronger and how hard you work to defend yourself due to your short height. Is your best workout buddy, and you spar often with each other. He has learned a lot of patience with you and learned some martial arts from you too. He's proud of how far you both have gone in a short amount of training. Amazed at how fast your reflexes are. you could grab a fly out of the air with your fingers easily! looks up to you even if you are in the same grade. If anyone is stupid enough to mess with you, they will get flung, immediately K.O., or they will be paralyzed from precise jabs to different parts of their body.

When you show him your mer form, you take pride in his awed expression. He compliments you in his tsundere way as his tail wags. He appreciates your trust and the gesture of friendship. Might hop in the water to spar with you if you challenged him. your scales are tough and you easily stunned him with a single hit from your club to his back. You were careful to not hurt him though. With your spear, you just entrapped him faster than he could have reacted, careful to not cut him with your serrated claws. You let him feel your merform in return for getting to feel his beast form.

Also, these shrimp are so interesting! their punches or spearing abilities are as fast as a bullet and can easily do as much damage as one too. they are smart and fast too. even with their small size, they are scary strong!

Preview: a small wip that toys with reader-chan's hopes of escaping two sadistic eels.

Imagine the leech twins somehow transported into your world, your house, YOUR room. After trying so hard to get away from them, and all the heavy tears and blood shed, you thought you could live life in freedom once again.

But, only to find out that you were always stuck to that spider-web. Realizing that life was playing with you and you carelessly fell straight into that trap.

"Haha~ did you really think that escaping us would be a piece of cake, lil shrimpy?" Floyd cornered you, just like how a shark with it's sharp-snapping teeth would do to it's prey. In your case, a moray eel to a shrimp.

You move back only to bump into the second one.

"Finding a way to enter this– out of the ordinary dimension wasn't easy." Jade smiled down at your pale and frightened look. Honestly, it was refreshing seeing your face after such a while.

"Though quite rewarding." He reached out to touch your shoulder, but there was only a loud smacking sound that rang out. Jade's hand was suspended in the air, with a clear burning, and red mark that decorated it.

"Get away from me!" You spat, and turned to dart for the exit.

Before you could turn the doorknob to open it, a hand slammed above your head stilled the door completely, rendering you unable to even open the door by an inch.

"That wasn't very nice to Jade, ya'know. We worked very haaaaaaard to find you. ♡"

You couldn't stand it. How was it so easy for them to make you tremble? Make your hot, boiling blood turn ice cold? Why did they always look at you while showing off those razor-edged teeth that donned inside of their mouth?

How much blood and meat were victims to those– comparable to knives– teeth?

Why are they so obsessed with you? Always so obedient to your every beck and call... Why? You always wondered.

"P-please.. let me go. Why are you even here?" You tried your best to stay grounded, but your voice barely came out as a whisper. Luckily, they seemed like they heard you somewhat.

"Shrimpy, how long does it take for your tiny little nub to get it?" Floyd pressed his other hand above your right side– mirroring the left side, and leaned in closer to you. You take note of his worsening frown.

"To take you into our care, of course." Jade shows himself again, choosing to remain on your left side. His burning mark on his right hand was left unbothered next to his side. Your adorable, but weak hits were nothing compared to the injuries he's endured deep down under the sea.

"We wouldn't want our favorite pearl to be endangered now, would we?" He chuckled and took a strand of your hair to twirl it.

"We'll make sure to be a bit more secure this time, so you don't even have barely a second to run off again, yeah?" Floyd giggled, "How does that sound?"

"A perfect idea, Floyd. I'm sure she's shaking from anticipation. ♡"
