(sorry for sending this ask twice, just in case tumblr ate it) i absolutely adore your depiction of angels, what are your main inspirations when it comes to the overall imagery and themes? like, any particular religious views, artists or books, etc
I tried answering this once and it was really long and had pictures and it didn't send and was lost in the ether smh
I'll paraphrase what I said before though
I went to a Christian elementary school thing as a kid where I learned about SIN and ETERNAL PAIN and there was a huge wooden cross in the cafeteria but I also learned Bible stories and I find myself referencing those all the time
I also grew up with a lot of stories about hindu gods and goddesses and the mahabharata which has also influenced me you can defs see that I use multiple heads or limbs as a sign of divinity
In general I think angels are maybe real bc I believe in magic and superstition to some degree though so I light incense and waft it into the corners for them
I thi k angels are a representation of pure thought or intent a representation of something hard to represent. I'm a fan of trying to get this feeling down. Angels are maybe like deep sea animals. Or maybe like insects. Or maybe like floaters in your eye.
I'm influenced a lot by old hindu art or old Persian folios or illuminated manuscripts. I'm also a fan of the paracas cultures art.
Hope that helps

Canon I outright reject A Little bit controversial but, he can't be traditionally attractive. And you may be thinking, but yours is, and I tell you, no. He isn't traditionally attractive. Now if you think he is hot that is on you but he isn't looking like Cillian Murphy.
A canon or headcanon hill I will die on The whole comic of him giving therapy to Batman because he is like that. The one that ends with "I think that went well."
Obscure headcanon Sinestro is keeping Crane from getting the yellow ring bcs he is scared another human is gonna overtake him.

On my sleepy head, I try to think about what would have happened if Stella had been hiding in Honey's room while he wasn't there. And I suddenly realized that our vision of Moon is very different.
Tell us about his behavior, how he looks in your eyes, how he treats children and employees? Why would he be so obsessed with stalking or somehow intimidating Stella/any other employee?
Can Honey calm him down with just talking or will he have to use force? Considering that Honey and Moon are friends, how will their relationship turn out after Stella appears in their lives?
There aren't many differences; I believe my perspective on Moon is similar to how the community portrays him. Perhaps with some variations, like in my AU, Moon is the good guy, even better than Sun. After the virus, both faced challenges, but Moon took all the credit for the out-of-control killer robot, as his violent transformation was more evident, while Sun managed to conceal it more effectively. Moon feels remorse, and Sun not entirely. Haha
While he has always been an intimidating animatronic, even before the virus, and loved caring for children, he remains intimidating, even more so now but without fulfilling his original purpose.
I think he simply enjoys intimidating rather than harming, but with the virus, it's hard not to do both. Now with the virus it is more twisted, making him unstable
Id would like to say that Honey might try to reason with Moon before he completely loses control, avoiding resorting to brute force. But I doubt Honey could do something to make it work; it would worsen things since I believe Honey is a factor that would cause Moon to have a breakdown (jealousy). In any case, when Moon is struggling to control himself, Honey's priority will be to take Stella away from danger, and if he has to dismantle Moon, he'll have to do it, even though I consider Moon himself a bit stronger than Hon.
Stella's arrival in Moon/Sun and Honey's lives was the best thing that happened to them. All three know what it's like to be alone – Moon in his cage of being feared by others, Sun in his cage at the daycare, and Honey in his constant cage of sleeping and waking up in a box or hospital where he knows the children he meets will perish.
Maybe there's no issue for Honey, but for Sun/Moon with the virus, it becomes chaotic. Jealousy and possessiveness will be the most common cause of their problems and fights
Honey is very protective. He is like. You touch this little creature of here and I will kill you.

How did you come up with the idea for the comic? And what motivates you to keep going?
It first started as a possible short fanfiction I was writing around the time the show came out. I had known about The Sandman for some time, but never got into it because of other things going on. Then, after seeing the teasers, I was automatically HOOKED.
As I was writing, I began to draw out the scenes since I can't always articulate what I'm seeing in coherent word form. Then, my imagination took over with tangents of ideas and additions that I knew there was no way I could write it.
But I could DRAW it.
So I just drew some scenes that I saw and thought, 'You know what manga looks like, why not try making a comic?'. So I took that into consideration and went to town.
I had always wanted to get into the comic business in some way; I do have a degree in Graphic Design that utilizes techniques pertaining to building visual arts. That, I suppose, helped to keep me motivated. I love to draw and The Sandman Universe is so open to interpretation. The various artists that were involved in the original run is freeing and that it's telling some sort of story.
I consider this fan-comic just one branch off the timeline of what if. Everyone has a what if, and I just decided to give it a try.

Hey CJ, you mentioned that you disagree with a lot of your old TWDG opinions, any that stand out you wanna share? Also i agree with what you said about wanting to play the series for the first time again with no prior knowledge - i would love to meet louis character for the first time again.
Yeah, some opinions have changed with time and moving on from being a hardcore, active fan in the fandom. I'm pretty sure I've talked about some of them more recently, like how I used to not like Jane but now I've become something of a "Jane apologist," if you will.
I was also super vocal about hating the Clementine comics when the 12-page comic dropped, and I'm pretty sure I was shitty about Tillie Walden... which I look back on now and feel embarrassed. In fact, I specifically remember calling attention to the fact that Skybound turned off comments on the first book trailer and on their instagram, twitter, etc. and being like, "look at these COWARDS! they know we hate the comic and that Tillie's a bad artist, they're trying to shut us up!" ........but then I heard they turned them off because Tillie was getting threats, and it caused me to dig around and see the vile shit fans were saying.... It gave me pause to think things through and I feel very differently about it all now.
I've also changed my mind on Minerva. Like Jane, there was a loooong period of time where I didn't like her, but now? I think she's great. A real tragedy.
In fact, real talk, I think my perspective on most of the female characters in TWDG has shifted dramatically. I've done a lot of thinking on this just in general; I'm much harder on female characters than male characters. I can pretend like noooooo I was always soooo fair... but no, not always. I'm sure it's from some deep-rooted, internalized misogyny I have that I'm working on, but I also think the games sometimes neglect those characters, too. Which makes it easier to brush them off as just "poorly-written" and "bad characters" if I don't like them when that's not always the case.
Or let's be real, we all know how this goes; the games give us a flawed male character and fans are like "he's my blorbo, here's a 50k essay about why he deserved better and a list of my headcanons and the twenty AUs I've written for them-" but then a female character's just as flawed and fans are like "lol she's poorly written, here's an essay on why-"
Don't look at me like that. I know I'm guilty of this. I know y'all remember Mitch. Back in the day, Mitch was my boy and I used to write about him all the time but like... god forbid I put that much effort into writing about Violet or Minerva, right?
Or even look at Kate, for example. Past CJ would've talked about how much she doesn't like Kate and she hates the forced romance with Javi, she's just there as a way to make David and Javi fight, etc. But you ask me about Kate now and I'm like, "Girl, ANF did you so dirty, you didn't deserve this."
Or how about Bonnie in S2? We all love to hate on Bonnie, but like... she's such an interesting character?? She's a recovering drug addict so desperate for a place, and you can see Carver's manipulation at play in the way she talks about him to Clementine. It takes seeing him physically beat Kenny within an inch of his life before she's like "Yeah no, fuck this, we're leaving tonight." And we give her shit about Luke's death and being mean to Clementine but frankly? Yeah, she's mean to Clementine and that's fine.
What, it's okay for Kenny to lash out and call her a stupid kid when Sarita dies because he's your poor meow meow and it makes his character soooo morally gray and complex? But Bonnie lashes out about Luke's death and suddenly she's just a massive piece of shit? No complexities or anything? There's no grey morality? No underlying motive or emotions behind the choice to abandon the group with Mike and Arvo?? She's just a bitch??
And do I even need to talk about Sarah? Hmm? We all know how Sarah was received and how fans still talk about her. Again, Sarah has a complete meltdown over losing her father and people get hurt, and fans wish death upon her... but Kenny has a meltdown and brutally beats up Arvo or threatens to smack Clementine or a number of things.... "that's fine, he's just really upset, he lost his family, y'know? everyone keeps trying to GASLIGHT me that he's bad but if you really think about it, Arvo totally deserved to be abused and it's actually Clementine's fault Kenny hit her because she tried to stop him-"
I just... the lengths we go to justify and defend this violent, toxic character but then act like Jane is the worst, I can't-
It's so funny to me whenever I see someone in the fandom complain about wanting more morally grey, flawed female characters because like... y'all couldn't even handle Jane. Or Lilly. Or Sarah. Or Bonnie. Rebecca. Eleanor. Christa. Minerva and Violet, in a lot of cases. So like... what do you actually want?
Note that I'm guilty of this, too, and I've asked myself that question... haven't fully worked out the answer yet.
That's the major thing that comes to mind about opinions I had that I've changed my mind about. I think a big factor in that is letting twdg go and getting invested in other fandoms, doing a lot more reading, getting back into writing, etc. Obviously I've really gotten into the Dragon Age fandom and that's what triggered this "journey of self-reflection~" when it comes to how I perceive female characters. Like, you want flawed, morally-grey ladies? That's your series... assuming you can actually handle it.
But I also recently finished a playthrough of Fallout New Vegas and remembered my love for Veronica Santangelo, like... I don't care that the game doesn't technically have romance, that's my girlfriend, I love her. Then the other night I finished my first playthrough of Life is Strange True Colors [I know, where the fuck have I been, right?] and I spent 40% of the time looking at flowers, 10% being sad about Gabe, and the other 50% trying to figure out who I liked more, Steph or Ryan.
I've also been reading a lot of wlw novels which is just..... THAT'S a whole mess I won't get into because this is already long enough and you didn't ask. Just know that's also another factor in this reflection.
And to answer the other part of your ask: I miss Louis. I would love to play TFS again for the first time again, that was a fun time.

Thoughts on Willis's relationship with Jason? Hi btw lol
Hello! And I've been DYING to talk about this!
A common misconception is that Willis Todd was abusive, in newer continuities this is canon but that, along with Catherine's addiction, has very much been written with a lot of classist intent. In his original backstory, post crisis obviously, Willis became a Two-Face goon so he could afford medication for Catherine who has a terminal illness. There was no evidence that he was abusive, and the fact that one of the only times Jason got seriously angry as Robin was when he found out his dad was murdered. You don't feel the need to get revenge for someone you hate.
It's my belief that they were close, if not during than before Willis started working for Two-Face. I think that Willis was a man who loved his family, enough that he was willing to work for someone as infamous and unpredictable as Harvey Dent to provide for them. These are just headcanons, but I also like to think that Jason got his music taste and love of cars from his dad. I like to think that while Jason's childhood was hard, there are still fond memories. Holding the flashlight while his dad works in the garage, jamming to Poison Idea on long car rides, his dad helping him with math homework and being SO proud when Jason figures out the answers before him.
In a lot of fics especially with Robin Jason I see him hating his resemblance to Willis, but I can't help but see it as a comfort. Everyday he looked in the mirror before school and saw his dad, and he knew that he was doing what his dad always wanted to. He put on his Robin mask and was so proud that he finally broke the horrible circle of crime and poverty that's congested in his marrow.
I think it's a different sort of comfort when he gets older. He's still taking after one of his dads at least, and he's helping people. That's more than enough to make Willis proud. He meets people on the street in his day to day, and every so often someone pulls him aside because they recognized him as "Willis's boy! Ya really are just a spittin image of your old man-" and it makes his day just a little better. Some days he can't stand to exist in a body that is too big and too old and too much, but once or twice he's caught his reflection in the mirror and he could of swore he was seeing his dad. It's usually enough to jar him out of an episode.

I remember, a while back, you mentioned that you wanted to write for The House That Jack Built. I was wondering if you’re still interested in writing about the film, and, if so, what kind of rules would you set to ensure your comfort?
Hi! This is a brilliant question. Yes, I'm still interested in writing for him! I'm actually finishing up my parts at the moment, it's rather lengthy. I typically write in globs rather than something concise, like beginning to end. I'll get motivation for a certain section, write that, and then write in the connecting pieces later - so, I'm currently wrapping up some of the connecting pieces.
I usually don't have an issue writing tougher things, disturbing content, etc. There are certain things I won't write, like children in a NSFW manner or bodily fluids outside of normal occurrences during intimacy. I do write for rougher scenarios, and I've never minded that. I'm able to disconnect myself a fair bit from my writing, and I'm using that quite a bit for this piece. It's darker than what I've written before. I think what's keeping me from finishing it up quicker is my worries on how others will see it, y'know?
That and dub-con is a bit of a fine line, but I take plenty of breaks with my writing. I don't think I'd ever write something that jeopardized my mental health. Although, I do love branching out, and I've enjoyed writing that piece - mainly because it's pushed me past my comfort zone.
It's worth it to branch out of your comfort zone, but everyone has limits to what they'll write - and that's okay! You have to have boundaries, just have to stick to them. And don't beat yourself up if you don't feel comfortable writing something, or if you lose motivation. I have pieces that I haven't touched in months, but I know it'll come back to me. That's usually why I tell people it'll take me a while to get to requests, but I always will get to them. It might take a few weeks, but they'll get done LMAO.
(I will say though, the piece I'm writing concerning that movie is dub-con, contains bodily harm, and will be tagged appropriately. Just a forewarning for those who are looking forward to that piece. And I'll definitely be open to writing for him again, if anyone ever requests more or the inspiration comes to me!)

How'd you learn to draw a full body? Do you have any references you use? Or do you just wing it?
Ok so!!! For me its mostly using a shit ton of references + a lot of practice ( the ask game was actually for me to practice drawing a lot of full bodies + a bit of character design ig? it was mostly for the full bodies )
ig the process i have is to like visualize the pose i want my guy to do, draft that pose, and then correct the anatomical mistakes or like change stuff to make it more ✨wow✨
its also good to keep mental markers/guidelines i.e elbows r upper waist level, etc. for me these r the ones i follow the most
Tumblr media
but they feel like suggestions most of the time HDHNFNC
but most of all the one i depend on the most r references. I have like separate pinterest boards dedicated to the stuff i want to reference from from like comic panels to anatomy to poses and composition. my drawing process takes a bit long cus i gotta scour the boards for specific references
also i forgot to say but i feel like i’m the last person so ask for this advice HSHHDHD my art development has mostly been me going fuck it we ball and even i disregard or forget my own advice sometimes + coupled with the fact that i’m a borderline neet who’s terribly addicted to drawing so i got,,,a lot of practice,,,, 🫡
i asked my oomfs on what advice they can give and i trust them a lot more so here’s what they said ( to cleu, ai, leia, myu, cheems, sol and purin tysm 😭😭 )
3D models/posers for references
Try to get used to it by doing lots of practice
YT tutorials
Reference real life ( either ur own body or models from the internet ) -> stylize from there
have a thing for drawing legs and shoes
trick question. u dont
hope this helped!

whenever you grace us with extra bits or alternatives for stories it's such a treat ❤️❤️ i read the alt sotw scenes - the bread, the kiss - and it was so interesting to see how things could've gone if those moments had happened at those times. but i prefer the way you wrote things in the fic initially, i think everything happens when it's supposed to happen and it's so strange reading what else could have been, because while reading your fic i did wonder, but it's like seeing those other scenes has confirmed that the original order of events truly works best. again, i love the alts! but it strangely satisfies 2 things in my brain: seeing the alt play out, and knowing the original was the best choice for the story and characters (imho) ❤️❤️❤️
thank you! and I think I do know just what you mean, because of course I was hesitant to share these alt scenes at first. because there is a reason they weren't pursued. for pacing, for payoff, for themes or character motives. there are a lot of reasons that events happen the way they did in the fic. as much as I was still finding the ending as I was publishing it on ao3, I had strong instincts about the way things should unfold that I didn't want to betray
it is kind of fascinating to explore the other side, though. when I'm writing I try to do two things. (1) set myself up with things that I can use later by leaving a few openings, whether or not I take them up in the end. (2) leave room for the reader to imagine. these are the glimpses and gaps I freaking live for when I'm engaging in something. when I've been given much of the world but not all of the world. it's like playing a video game and there's a corner you can't turn down, but you can fill in without trying very hard with all sorts of enticing possibilities. it's exciting and it leaves you just a little bit unsatisfied and that's where the room for dreaming is, and I usually hope that when I'm writing there's space for readers to think, "but what about this?" or "what if they went there?" or "what if this unexplored part of the world played a role?"
this is the transformative element, the thing that is so great about our source material: spn is infamous for offering us SO MUCH potential and then not delivering on what you might expect. pockets and gaps that artists and writers fill in with wondrous works, or that we simply dream about after we've taken in the story. and I always think there's a way to sate cravings and leave cravings at the same time, and that's what I aim to do

Do you think that the whole controversy with Tenoch has caused ER to either be more popular among social media and the public or just less as if people are turning away from her? Especially since the 'so-called' evidence that she posted was used against her to call her out on her lies as well as her crimes and history. Also, I wonder if politicians who have tried to be associated with her, such as that one deputy who schemed with her to try to pass the stealthing law by dragging Tenoch, are avoiding and turning away from her due to probably realizing how toxic and criminal she really is. Because it's amazing how they are all silent instead of supporting her, even with the access to the media power that they have that they could use to promote her such as they did with her case as there is not much news going on except for what she posts on Twitter, even with her acid case. I could be wrong, but it seems to me that no one prominent is really on her side publicly, except her lawyer and followers, which makes her really all alone. She probably does these horrible things as a way to feel good about herself and have some self-importance, which would have been sad, if it wasn't for the fact that she tramples and hurts others with her family to do so. If there is one important thing that I have learned in my two and a half decades of life on Earth that is very true, it's that the bill always comes due, and I feel that her bill for all that she has done might be on its way.
Thank you for the submission, anon! You pose a very interesting theory, which I agree can be true.
I'm gonna be a bit more cautious here about my answer, mostly because everything is so chaotic, nuanced and layered it's hard to tease out a specific reason for this. Whatever I say is purely my opinion, so please take it with a pinch of salt.
She could be the case of "bad publicity is still publicity". If she truly is trying for a political career, this might bring her some exposure. Politics is usually dirty and messy, and any kind of exposure helps. I have a feeling she's not very big on her own, but tries to show herself by using the few contacts she has gained, and the nexus she has from her own family. She cares a lot about her carefully constructed image, coz that's what she has going for her. That public sympathy and an activist image.
On the other hand, an equally valid argument is the one you raise. And that I suspect too: this is gonna come back to bite her. Everyone acts to preserve their self-interests, and so we have seen people distancing themselves from her. The amount of stuff she and her family has going on is a biggg problem for her. It's not like other politicians are not toxic or criminal, they just hide it better.
She definitely created a big ruckus and then nothing came of it. So to some extent, I think her temporary social media popularity is down. Will it continue to be that way? I can't say. Does it reflect the ground reality? I don't know.
I don't want to pass any personal comments on her as a person, and keep myself limited to her case with Tenoch. I feel bad for her acid attack, but what she did to him was nasty. Terrible.
Here's what I suspect. All of our conclusions are based on publicly available info. Behind the scenes? She could have quieted down and shifted her focus elsewhere (other cases that are more important). She might have found solace in the fact that she was able to successfully deliver a blow to Tenoch's career. She might be covering up her criminal traces. She might be working on her network politically. Or she might be quietly planning another attack on Tenoch (I actually doubt that).
But boy do I hope he sues the hell out of her.
Sorry for such a long post! I had thoughts. I hope you keep the world bright through your goodness and optimism! 🫶

For the artist asks!
4, 21 & 27
Great blog btw!
Thank you! I'm on my lunch break right now, so I'll go ahead and go through these.
4. "piece you wish got more love?"
I never want to sound un-thankful, but I think all artists can relate to the feeling of disappointment when they spend hours on a piece and it gets little-to-know interaction. It is during these moments that i try to remind myself that the main priority is still drawing for my enjoyment.
I did hope that the cover art for my Our New Hope fanfic would get more interaction after how long I worked on it: https://oonaluna-art.tumblr.com/post/729199741311893504/skinning-the-children-for-a-war-drum-putting-food
Tumblr media
Additionally, my OC art is never as popular as fan art. I understand this phenomenon as well, as people are more likely to interact with characters they are familiar with. My mind works the same. However, I can't deny a bit of sadness that my OCs don't get as much interactions: https://oonaluna-art.tumblr.com/post/732373891357491200/inktober-day-27-as-i-drew-caesarions-mom-a-few
Tumblr media
21. "what do you think your artstyle would taste like?"
I've never thought of that. I don't tend to associate visuals with specific tastes. Maybe my style would be something caffinated?
27. "do you ever have multiple WIPs going at once?"
Tumblr media
Yes! It's pretty common for me to move between several projects at once. Here's a screenshot from my Ipad's procreate app.
Thank you for enjoying my art blog!

Okay, I really need to know: how do villains react to Talon!Dick? Joker, Penguin, Ivy, Riddler, Killer Croc, you know classic Gotham rogues who know him almost whole his life? And how does Dick react to them? Does he continue to fight crime after transformation and use his wings to hit bad guys during combat? What if some villain is allergic to feathers?
I hadnt thought that far ahead so it's not a solid idea yet but here's a lil brainstorming! Anyone feel free to add to this! Even in tags I'll read them :D I wouldn't mind learning more since my knowledge is quite surface level compared to how much comics and information there is out there. Sorry if this seems like nonsense DHSHDJ I just woke up-
I think a little after Dick's disappearance, they'll catch wind of Nightwing being missing eventually and maybe quite quickly too. Im sure some of the villains would even take the chance to taunt the fam about it and usually it does NOT end well for the villains cause the fam are on the look out for Nighwing. They’re worried, they’re tired, they’re trying, and they do not have time to deal with them trying to get under their skin. They just want him back.
Like you’ll for sure hear the classic, “Your little Blue Bird gone missing?”, “So I’ve heard that our dear Nightwing hasn’t been showing up as of late!” or anything along those. And Im sure the thugs talks about him to.
“Nightwing’s been gone for a long while. You think something happened?”
“Who cares? Less of the bats to worry about.“
“I dunno, man. I’d take Nightwing over Batman or any of the bat brats. One of the kid’s got a damn sword! And don’t even mention the Red Hood...”
“What about me?” (Jason)
“oH SHIT, RED HOOD-“
I think that in this AU Dick would eventually be back out to patrol and fight crime with the batfam again at some point!
IF a villain is allergic to feathers that would be absolutely hilrious actually DJSHGDHD LIKE IMAGINE YOU PLANNED OUT ALL THESE SCHEMES... and then a guy with wings shows up and your allergy acts out DHSHDJ I’d just give up and go home HDGSHD
ALSO ALSO? Slade, Deathstroke, whatever we wanna call him tbh DHSGDH. from what I remember, he is quite fixated on Dick/Nightwing so like, he might be some of the first few to notice Dick hasn’t been showing up. That’s definitely going to make him suspicious and curious on what might have happened to Nightwing.
When the villains see him again tho, Im sure they’re in for a rather big surprise tbh. Like imagine seeing this kid you fought with so often and pretty much watched him grow and change, and then suddenly he lost most of what you remembered about him and now has wings and eyes do some glowy shit and is a bit more stabby than you remembered.
Feel free to add onto this or correct anything!

please tell us more about this helsa series you are writing 👀💕
nonnieeee!! but it wouldn't be a surprise now, don't you think so?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
okay honestly, i wasn't planning on working on a long helsa series, though i did have a similar plan with the 'marriage of convenience' trope as the core of the series.
what started out was really just a series of twitter banters with my friend that expanded into fully fleshed plots, with some spanning over a month or three depending on how far the plot develops.
truthfully, i've been yearning to find a writing partner who could match my writing style and be excited to write SO MUCH about a ship. while helsa initially wasn't my OTP ( yes, i started out as jelsa ), somewhere in 2022, i turned into an ardent helsa shipper thanks to my other friend.
ANYWAY, back to the series ( me and my big mouth can't hold it back anymore ):
the entire premise of the story takes place after the events of Frozen 1, but not until Frozen 2. her magic is still there, just not at the forefront as it did in the first movie. and oh, yeah, it's in the mid-1800s! there's also inspiration drawn from ( majorly ) the frozen musical, a frozen heart and a little bit of dangerous secrets.
others may have written something similar like mine, but this is really an extensive series of ‘what-ifs’ that mainly focuses on the aftermath of her coronation, her struggles of trying to be a good queen for arendelle and all the times she shouldn’t hang out with hans, who showed up on arendelle after serving his prison sentence for two years ( roughly ) – which led to her falling for his pretense like anna.
of course, there's a few original characters that we made for this series! besides that, i personally have a pinterest board dedicated to hans and elsa, alongside a spotify playlist that follows their entire journey :D
there’s also an element of hans’s morally grey side, which, as santino fontana said, hans isn't what he seems to be ( meaning he has personal motivations like any other people ) and my lovely friend who writes as hans has the most detailed lore on him and everything, and i honestly couldn't be luckier and so SO grateful to know them and write together ❤️
obviously, when we started plotting, we realized that their story's going to be LONG, and we've decided to break it down into three major acts. the second act is arguably going to be the longest and where we are currently.
so, the theme of the story is the title of the series itself: 'in hindsight'.
in hindsight is basically a sequel to a prequel titled 'shattering ice'. in this one, the story explicitly deals with her first visit to the isles and meeting the star-studded cast of the westergaards whom, again, my friend here has built – completely tragic, awful, and all things negative that shows who they are as a family.
also the prequel will serve as the starting point of their relationship because we don't want to jump on that chemistry building with haste.
right now, we're mostly focusing on in hindsight and pretty much pausing shattering ice. also, because the former became a full blown series, i had to upgrade my g-drive storage hahaha so all of their past plots and current ones are safely stored in there.
Tumblr media
all in all, this series is arguably the most special endeavor i've ever done. it's got a TON of emotional realism in there, soft moments in the form of jane austen-esque longing touches kinda way, gut-wrenching angst and a bittersweet ending ( i'm not ready for the last part, but we've planned on how the series will end ).
even in spite of our busy schedules, we found time to keep writing out the replies, info-dumping personal headcanons of our characters and hyping each other whenever the ship had their fluff / angst moment. i seriously could not thank my friend enough, and i really appreciate her for all the helsa brainrots ❤️
and finally, the reason i've not put it up on AO3 is because i didn't want that invisible pressure of needing to update it. i mean, yes, it's still ongoing, but imagine if i just upload the complete series and voila? basically giving a delight to potential readers that the series is done hahaha.
i don't foresee we'll finish it by end of this year, even though we started out since june last year. but who knows, it could end well until the following year?
okay nonnie, there you go 🤓

She stopped by the sudden question. Zipporah sighed dolefully before she leaned in and gave the other Latias a gently nuzzle.
"I do..."
*It seems Zipporah doesn't like to talk about her brother.....maybe try it a bit later?*

What exactly makes you think that le sserafims target audience are otaku-coded men and what is the „wholesome porn“ category?
just to clarify, a target market is defined as a group of people that have been identified as the most likely potential customers for something due to shared characteristics such as age, income, gender, attitudes, interests, values and lifestyle. you cannot run a business or effectively promote a product without a target market.
it’s not a secret that young to middle aged men make up a huge chunk of consumers of kpop girl groups in general, and given that kpop is predominantly indulging in visible content (concerts, music videos, stages etc). i think it’s just common sense and experience of how the industry has worked that makes it obvious who le sserafim is targeted towards - since we can see it with our own eyes. they have racier and more “grown up” outfits than other groups, their choreos are more sexual, the way their videos are filmed have more suspicious angles etc.
le sserafim including two minors in their debut just makes this worse but the group was already not for me or not something i was comfortable with anyway. if i were to compare it to newjeans, which is also a girl group under hybe that debuted minors, the actual target market is already extremely different - newjeans seems to be the girl group hybe has chosen for the next biggest market, young girls who will be dedicated fans for years (they’re the “unnie” group for school aged girls and young teens). they’re given extra long safety shorts, childish and usually colourful styling, sillier choreo that’s easy to follow etc.
though to make it clear again, i don’t support the debut of young minors in the industry, but that’s why i implied le sserafim is the “worst” of the two to me.
tw for p*dophilia below:
the wholesome porn aspect of kpop is one of those secrets that isn’t really a secret. the industry has p*dpohilic, overly sexual undertones which has existed for years (and only calmed down more within the last 5 years or so despite still being present). that’s why there was an abundance of groups catered towards men (sexy concepts and sweet “i am ur gf” concepts) and even partly why they are literally called idols as opposed to singers, with an image that is supposed to be virginal. more specific examples include how tzuyu was mistreated as a minor, wonyoung dancing to side to side on a survival show, and seungri’s v.v.i.p music video in which it implies he literally sleeps with a little girl.
this is what someone who worked on produce 101, the survival show, had to say:
The PD answered, “If a program is solid and organized well, people regardless of gender watch. The issue is with quality. The reason why we did the female version first is, I don’t know how to express it. It was from the thought that we needed to create wholesome pornography for males. (laughs) If you look at the contestants, they look like your younger sister or niece but aren’t they cute? I wanted to make that style of pornography.
end of tw.
this is why i don’t “support” le sserafim or want to do readings on how the group itself is operating because we already know the answer: hybe is going to give these men want they want because it’s literally why this group was created.
i hope this makes sense to you and other people who may read this answer. it’s not an attack on the girls themselves or more normal fans of the group 💗

Helloo Factory could i learn some facts abt cricket pls?
- [☎️]
Yes!
Cricket's real name is Ann Kristoph. She inherited a merchandising company from her family called Kristoys.
Cricket was always a huge fan of Showfall even when she was a kid. She was elated when she got in a contract with them to make merchandise.
She is more invested in Showfall than her own company because she is interested in production and drama and less interested in merchandising. Her dream was to become a director instead of owning her family's company.
Cricket meets the Founder and becomes obsessed with her in the way she wants what she has.
(The Founder in this universe a an eldritch being possessing a human but Cricket doesn't know that. Hetch knows, though.)
After getting close with the Founder and Hetch, Cricket one day decides she's going to take over Showfall. She's bought out other companies before, how hard could it be?
This doesn't work so she turns to other methods. Cricket develops a computer virus that when used in a Showfall's system would only allow her to access the technology.
It doesn't work so Cricket tries one last thing. She takes Hetch hostage and threatens to shoot him if the Founder doesn't hand over the company.
The Founder says she doesn't care if Hetch gets shot and has the employees try to detain her. Cricket shoots Hetch and tries to flee.
She doesn't get away.
What happens next, I'm not sure. All I know is that it's not good news for Cricket.
