6 - "Aether is having a very bad day." Heheheh >:)

25 - Worldbuilding, though most of that information is still just in my head. I need to write out my headcanons at some point. I also really enjoy the editing process! I'm a stream of consciousness writer, I let the words come out and hope they make sense. It's very satisfying to go back and see what I ended up with and fix what doesn't work. A lot of the time that results in me scrapping whole chunks of storytelling (cough the first half of Permafrost took seven rewrites cough), but that's okay! It's all part of the process!

36 - Ooooooh. Hmm. Probably Permafrost for the fact that it was my first gift fic, my longest so far, and for the fact that people really seemed to enjoy it! It was a struggle in several ways, but so worth it in the end. I was also super happy with Saint-Like Behaviour, I never do the squishy stuff and it was so well received!

72 - I read my comments whenever I need a serotonin boost, every single one of them. I treasure every single one. However, a couple stand out for sure.

For all the drama surrounding All Water Holy, there was some incredibly good feedback as well. One of my favorites was a longer comment that boiled down to this:

"Extremely well written and well conveyed emotions. I hate it. But it was great."

My base state is daydreaming. And while I mostly do it about original fiction, I do sometimes find myself daydreaming about fanfics. Or honestly, just ghouls in general. I've been thinking about soft ghouls all day today. 11: Do you write scenes in order, or do you jump around? In order. On rare occasions, I'll skip a transitional scene and just write the next scene where something actually happens, but usually I just write straight through. 22: Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles? After. I hate coming up with titles. I tend to use song lyrics, but then I spend like twenty minutes trying to find the right lyric? It's honestly the hardest part of the writing process for me. 35: What’s your favorite fic you’ve posted? Spontaneous Combustion. I cannot explain why. I just really really love it.

Dew wears a muzzle during rituals.

It's a thick fabric, not unlike a face mask, that locks in the back. It's hidden under his balaclava and his mask, and if you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't know it was there.

Why does Dew have to wear a muzzle, you might ask?

When Dew is excitable, he gets bitey. And at rituals, he is ALWAYS very excitable. So, after a few incidents with biting bandmates and one close call with an audience member, they invested in a muzzle, laced with a bit of black magic to stop Dew from being able to claw it off so easily.

Putting it on is an ordeal in itself. Dew refuses to put it on himself. The only ghoul able to do it without backup is Cumulus, and that's only because she distracts him with cuddles and head pats and kisses and praise while she's slipping the clips into place. Otherwise, if Cumulus is busy, it takes all of the ghouls to pin Dew down while another ghoul wrangles the muzzle onto his face.

Papa's had to step in once, and the ghouls were all stunned into silence as Dew kneeled perfectly, looking up at Papa like he had hung the moon and the stars as he slid the muzzle over his mouth.

Inside the muzzle is a bit, used to keep Dew busy and focused while he's performing. He bites through them a lot. They come in different sizes and shapes and chew-levels, depending on what Dew needs that day. One time, Swiss switched out his regular bit for a squeaky toy bit and Dew didn't realise until he was on stage, halfway through his Ritual solo, and he could vaguely hear squeakysqueakysqueakysqueakysqueaky in his ears as he really concentrated on hitting the right notes.

so full disclosure, I never read the original novel, and the 《弯弯》 audiodrama should be considered a lot of things but a faithful adaptation? lol absolutely not (their own words)

this is actually a 网配 wangpei audiodrama from 2015, and the energy on it is utterly unhinged. it is simultaneously a love letter to and satire of 非天夜翔 Fei Tian Ye Xiang’s novel 《金牌助理》 Jin Pai Zhu Li, a novel that follows the misadventures of hapless aspiring musician Xiao Yi as he finds a day job to pay the bills while struggling to make it in Beijing. said day job? working as a personal assistant to the extremely frosty, extremely handsome superstar actor Lu Zhou. absolute hijinks ensue

this audiodrama is far ahead of its time, and also completely upends traditional adaptation by rewriting the script satirically and cranking up the speed. I screamed; I laughed; I definitely missed a turn while driving. words can’t really describe this production for its sheer insanity, so I’ll just link it above and call it a day
