Does anybody else misses those Mickey Mouse cartoons and movies that played on Disney Toon that were basically slice of life rom coms? Just the crew out there having real jobs and problems while it also being completely funny it was so good

In my headcanon Aunt Gertie is Fanny Coot (Gus' mom).
Was there a need to even consider canon a direct-to-video movie, made by a secondary Disney animation studio, so not WDAS (every WDAS product is canon, of course)?
Yes.

I love Disney Toon Studios' Christmas movies.
I love that the villain in Belle's Magical Christmas is a self-absorbed composer who wants to use the Beast's hopelessness as a manipulative weapon. I love that he says "if you must love someone, love yourself!" And the antithesis to that is Belle, who keeps hanging on to hope and proving that it exists through self-sacrifice. Just like the original movie. And hope is literally the point of Christmas, so it's perfect.
And if Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas doesn't make me cry every year since I turned twenty
Max has to learn to have faith in A Very Goofy Christmas--when he can't see proof of Santa Clays' existence for himself, he has to just trust what he does have proof of, which is his dad's unconditional, steadfast love for Max.
The duck triplets have to learn to make the most of the day they have, which does NOT look like getting everything they want: it looks like making everyone else's day wonderful, which is "the feeling that can last all year."
The Gift of the Magi, but with Mickey and Minnie! Giving up what you have for someone else is love, which is the greatest gift you could give!
Ugh. I love all those earnestly-made, heart-filled, on-a-budget Christmas movies Disney used to do.
