I watched the Mother God series on hbo and. There’s a lot to say but my first impression is just to be in awe of how powerful delusion can be and how our thoughts really construct our material reality. I found myself in horror of their ‘convictions,’ and felt like the series did not do enough to paint these people as monstrous. Not in the way they treated Amy Carlson but in their BUSINESS efforts of spreading their lies and selling their tinctures and snake oil to people…. that really pisses me off the most. I feel like maybe a little too much grace was given to people who were preaching the harmful message that all illness stems from ‘energetic misalignment.’ Reminds me of these micro Christian cults that preach that “healing is yours” if you’re “godly” enough. Really nothing pisses me off more than new age spiritualists blaming poor and sick people for their own pain.

The Love Has Won documentary on HBO is heartbreaking. You can feel how vulnerable her followers were. They are extremely attractive and broken, and blonde. You can tell several of them have watched how to be charismatic and demand respect youtube videoe.

Someday I hope I get to direct documentaries like this. Once you start doing documentaries you can see all the flaws, bias, and tweaking to make the story fit. The creators and crew really hated the final Father God with a unholy passion.

I just got through the Twin Flame Universe doc on Netflix and the Mother God doc on Max. I highly recommend both if you haven't seen them yet!

I've seen the entire Mother God one and ooooooof was that a trip. And I just started the Twin Flame one yesterday and am also really enjoying it!

I gotta say though between the two cult leaders, the Twin Flame guy seems so much more obviously full of shit to me lol I don't know how he got anyone to take him seriously......he'd been trying to start a cult for years and he just comes across as the most know it all cornball ever, like very off-putting. His partner is a little better at first but as the years go on she almost seems like, docile and medicated. At least Mother God had a very welcoming, motherly presence at first.

I guess like any good cult leader he was just preying on people when they were most vulnerable and that can seriously skew their judgement but he is so ick to me, just the worst possible vibes imaginable.
