r/NoahGetTheBoat (a subreddit whose premise is: “these ragefuel stories prove God should send another flood to genocide our species”) seamlessly interlacing stories of anti-lgbt hate, homeless abuse, and violence against animals with stories decrying weirdo sex freaks, degenerate junkies, and crazy animal rights activists is a pretty vivid microcosm of the liberal approach to social issues!
Oh God you dug up a suppressed memory. A friend sent me a tiktok clip some time ago, and it was a school "prank" where they somehow got the mothers of a bunch of teen boys to agree to join. The teen boys go blindfolded, and they'd "kiss a cute girl", well, as you can imagine, it was the mothers. It was so creepy, because some of them really went at it, touching and all, and I mean both sides, just that, you know, the boys were blindfolded and thought it was girls their own age, not their moms.
I remember seeing that clip in a reddit compilation (it was either for r/noahgettheboat or r/iamatotalpieceofshit)
But, yeah: I don't understand how during the brainstorming phase of that event, no one put forward the idea of 'Hey, this seems like it could turn into a PR disaster so maybe we... Shouldn't'
Thank you, youtube, for reminding me that the world sees trans bodies as something so horrifying that you should literally end the world over them, what a beautiful thing to wake up to
So I was just scrolling through r/NoahGetTheBoat and I really needed this subreddit. To all of my fellow friends who are here for the same reason I am, here's a picture of me and my dog, Lyla. via /r/Eyebleach https://ift.tt/3BLkral
something gets posted to one of these and bounces around all the others over the course of a few days hitting the front page every time. it's no wonder redditors have brainrot they're surrounded by constant negativity in the from of brief snippets of bad takes and get all their internet points from screaming about these nameless people they've never met
to say nothing of subs like justnomil that are just more finely tuned echo chambers
the entirety of reddit is a cesspool and it's had a notably negative impact on my psyche since joining
I think the reason N still has so much faith in humanity is because they haven’t really been on the internet that much. Yeesh.
I just came back from going through reddit, r/NoahGetTheBoat and r/TiHi, and I am just-
I want to show N and just watch them absolutely struggle with holding onto their faith in humanity. Then make it up to them by showing them the more wholesome subreddits after.
the way the preview of this ask in my notifications had me believe this was going to be an angsty ask,,,,,,,,,
but OH MY GOD i feel like such a horrible person to love this idea.
i like to think M will...make an effort to teach N tech stuff, especially in N's route because they so dreamily said they'd fight any kind of technology if it meant that the detective was on the other side. *sigh*
anyway, i so badly want N to accidentally open a tab on M's computer with some horrendous shit loaded and them just helplessly try to rationalise whatever they just saw. like an absolute...
...moment and then an incessant 'no what the hell this isn't real please oh god no what the FUCK no no no no no it is actually something very different from what i see, yes'–kinda not-so-internal monologue.
and then maybe F overhearing and taking a brain-broken N away and loading a playlist full of cute dog video compilations for N to bleach the content from M's computer out of their brain, yes please.
