Hi I’m one of the anons who’s obsessing over the P.A series!!!!! For some reason my brain has been full w diff things that could happen IDKKK! Hope u don’t mind if I dump a few....
TW: this is A bunch of rambling and some grammar errors LMAO sorry
Idk y I c y/n having a stalker💀 this prob sounds rlly weird but hear me out. (To add drama, also I Lowkey wanna c Mina,Sero and kiri get mad idk y-)
Since we all know y/n is the baddest most sophisticated b*tch (sorry idk if I’m allowed to cuss or not LMAO) her Ex lover is still obsessed w her and thinks that they are soulmate even tho they obv aren’t. I feel like y/n knows he stalks her but she ignores it until it gets worst. Like he found out where she lives. (He finds out where she lives while she’s sick which is now loll)
Anyways I feel like Mina would be over at y/ns place and since she’s getting better they are In her living room talking abt who knows what and y/n gets a knock on her door she goes to open it and admittedly closes it looking shocked. Mina being a pro hero is supposed to be able to read body language. Mina ask her if everything is Alr and y/n OFC (stupid a**) says yes. Mina didn’t want to keep pressing the issue so she dropped it until it became a reoccurring thing with y/n and it’s not just her that noticed. She (y/n) is extremely hesitant to open the door and when she does she opens it a little bit. (And then idk her EX does crazy like breaks into her apt and scares the sh** outa y/n) THIS IS WHERE MY BIG IDEA STOPS 😭😭😭😭😭😭 that was a lotta rambling my apologies
Have a great day dollie!
oh no! please don’t feel bad, it’s always fun for me seeing what you dolls would want to happen next
although i don’t plan on bringing any psycho exes into ‘the p.a’ series, as a writer and an avid daydreamer, i can’t help but play around with this idea
warning: there are brief mentions of violence ; this is not a part of ‘the p.a’ series but is just a little thought that i just couldn’t help but try my own hand at also ; i didn’t edit this either 😂 so kindly forgive any grammatical/spelling mistakes
continuing on from your idea...
⏤mina, having the sneaking suspicion that something bad might happen to you that night, notifies the rest of the group later on that day
⏤usually, bakugou was in charge of you during the night and always sat in a chair beside your bed on high alert, ready to serve your every need...
⏤BUT!
⏤now that mina told them about your suspicious behaviour, all of them were put on high alert.
⏤they all agreed to keep you unaware of their intentions by having bakugou take care of you like usual but they made sure that when on the night patrol, they were close by with their radios on and constantly being hyper aware of the shortest route to your residence from wherever they were situated - just in case of an emergency
⏤naturally, they trusted bakugou with keeping you safe but that didn’t mean that they had no worries for you at all
⏤seeing as you usually feel asleep before bakugou switched with the sero, who took care of you in the late evening, you were under the impression that you were alone at home
⏤your current condition disallowed you from comfortably staying awake so you were constantly tossing and turning in bed, brows furrowed and sweating more than usual
⏤”what is she dreaming about?” bakugou utters in frustration as he continues to wipe away the vastly accumulating sweat rom your wrinkled brows
⏤he wasn’t frustrated at you no no, he was annoyed at the fact that he couldn’t make you comfortable no matter how many wet towels he uses to cook your forehead or wipe your sweat clean off your skin
⏤as the night progresses, you eventually fall into a dreamless sleep, far too exhausted to continue stressing over your ex with the added burden of your fever on your body
⏤nevertheless, bakugou continues being on high alert at all times except for when he momentarily leaves to room so as to go to the toilet
⏤this was the perfect opportunity for your crazy ex to sneak into your room via the window bakugou left ajar so as to help cool you down better
⏤your ex was a creepy and disgusting man - someone that you had grown to dislike the more you got to know him and naturally left as quickly as you were able to
⏤what followed was harassment to the highest degree, thankfully you were able to protect yourself due to your self defence training and quirk, however, it didn’t take away the shuddering feeling of being watched constantly
⏤you grew paranoid and extremely fidgety over time and eventually filled for a restraining order. unfortunately, that didn’t work and left you to deal with the situation yourself
⏤you were naive enough to think that you had shaken him after a particularly horrible beating he took from you in self defence. he had come at you with a knife but you were able to disarm him and send him limping home with a dislocated arm, a black eye and a bruised ribcage
⏤over time, you got busy with work and slowly forgot about him, it wasn’t until today that you were reminded of his crazy obsession with you and were thrown into a panic
⏤believing that you were alone at night and in your most vulnerable state, you didn’t feel safe and sought to deal with the situation however you could, even in your dreams
⏤all attempts were in vain, however
⏤bakugou, returning from his momentary break to the toilet came back just in time to see your creepy ex hovering over your sleeping figure. as if you sensed the unpleasant existence stalking you, your body stiffened under the blankets and you began to breathe uncomfortably, beginning to sweat bucket-fulls once more
⏤not wanting to disturb your sleep as rest was the top priority for you, bakugou crept up from behind the unknown figure and instantly went for his neck, choking him into silence as he dragged his thrashing figure outside, far away from you all the while sending a emergency signal to the rest of the squad
⏤in no time at all, the rest of the squad arrived and had your crazy ex cornered. at this time he had already been tied up by bakugou and was ready for a quick chat
⏤”what the hell were you doing with our yn?” kirishima began, sharp teeth grinding together as he clenched his jaw
⏤silence
⏤”speak up, we can’t fucking hear you,” bakugou spat as the others glared on from beside him, their eyes piercing through the moonlight and darkness of the night
⏤”y-yn isn’t yours - that’s the first thing,” your ex finally cracked, giggling creepily in between
⏤”you’re right,” sero began, “yn doesn’t belong to anyone so why were did you break into her house,” it took everything in sero not to lash out but they needed answers
⏤”wrong again!” your ex sang, “she doesn’t belong to you, she belongs to me! i’m her boyfriend!”
⏤”yn doesn’t have a boyfriend,” kaminari spoke up
⏤”that’s right! and if she did, we would have known,” mina agreed
⏤“that’s because she doesn’t know it yet, we broke up but we’ll get back together again soon” the tied up man giggled to himself, “it’s only a matter of time before she realises her mistake and she comes back to me,”
⏤the team of heroes didn’t know what to say, they were so shocked and appalled at what they were seeing and hearing that they couldn’t bring themselves to utter a single word of response, they only listened further
⏤”i hoped she’d come back soon, anyway...but i was getting impatient so i had to try and convince her a little more. she’s been ignoring my love for her all this time, she can’t continue rejecting me for long...” he laughs, “i bet she misses it”
⏤“miss what...?” bakugou didn’t want to know but it had to be said
⏤”i bet she misses being with me. she’s so beautiful and so soft to the touch, she always smells good too and she has such a lovely voice - i want her all to myself, she doesn’t deserve to be anybody else’s”
⏤it was then that the team of heroes just about lost their minds. the creep before them didn’t say anything explicit but the madness in his eyes and the harrowing smile he was displaying was off putting. they dread to imagine what a lowlife nasty sob like him put you through but they saw flashes of unforgivable scenes that sent all of them into insanity
⏤someone so precious to them didn’t deserve any such treatment. you may not have disclosed anything to them strict on being professional but if this man was willing to break into your house...they were fearful to think about what else he was capable of
⏤he deserved a beating from that act alone, actually, and a beating he got
⏤they could’ve killed the guy - they were more than tempted to and it would have been so easy...but he deserved to suffer in jail for his crimes against you so they held back no matter how painful that was for them
⏤the very next day, under their authority and recommendation, the man was locked up for as many years as they could tally up and seeing as they were heroes, they were able to look into his past documentations and found you had filed a restraining order for him under harassment, assault and a number of other things they grew all the more furious at the more the read
⏤they would prefer it if you didn’t realise what they did that night but the media couldn’t let the story of 5 high class pro heroes sending a singular, beaten man to jail for life
⏤your creepy ex’s battered photos were all over the news and you were so incredibly grateful

Salvation
Chapter 1: No Big Steps
Jia reaches the airport and finds a car waiting for her, she remembers her uncle telling her that he’d send his driver to pick her up. She texted her uncle after reaching home. Collapsing on the bed, she let out a long sigh. She missed her room. She missed her home. “Urghh…jet lag.” She started to wonder how the chairman would be, from what she has heard, he was a total maniac, ruthless, egotistic and had a bad temper. She had to be careful around this one, she could not let her plans go south just in the beginning after all.
She woke up as her alarm rang at 8 in the morning, she still had to get used to the time zone difference and set a new sleep schedule, but today was important and comfort was a second concern. She took a shower and put on a black dress with zebra stripes, burgundy-coloured boots and a black hat. She finished her look with a gold chain necklace and with a bold makeup. After taking her sling bag, she stepped out of her room and found her uncle setting some side dishes on the dining table.
“Samchon!” She yelled in a jolly and excited voice, as if she was a child again and hugged her uncle.
“Good Morning, Jia. I have missed you so much. See, all your favourite dishes.”
Jia looked at all the dishes on the table in awe, “I have missed you too. WOW, it’s been so long since I had authentic Korean food! Thank You!”
“Sit down and eat all you want. And why are you all dressed up at 8 in the morning?”
“I want to visit your workplace.”
Seung Hyuk sighed disappointingly. “This is why I forbade you from coming. Didn’t you get a lesson after what happened when you were working against GK? You nearly died. Jiaya, Babel is more dangerous than GK. You don’t know…”
“I know, Samchon. I know very well, that’s why I am doing this. And the part that I don’t know, I will know soon. I can’t sit back forever and let you dive right into an ocean full of sharks.”
“Jia..look.”
“Please, don’t stop me. I promise I’ll be more careful this time. Trust me.”
“What exactly are you trying to do?”
“Well, for now, I just need to know this company well. No big steps. Also, I need to meet Cha Young, I missed her so much.” Cha Young and Jia were very close friends, but Jia cut contacts with her after the GK incident happened. She wanted to lie low for some time.
“Cha Young..does not work in Wusang anymore. It is a long story.”
“Okay..do you know where does she work now? I will just go there.”
“I know, but if you want to work in Babel, you can’t be friends with Cha Young. She’s fighting against them.”
“Suddenly? Something really bad must have happened. Now, I definitely need to see her. Don’t worry about Babel. I know how to con people; I did learn things from GK.”
“Fine, fine. Do whatever you want, it’s not like you are going to listen to me anyway.”
They leave for Wusang after having breakfast and as soon as Jia sets foot in the company, she sees a guy stumbling around sheepishly, carrying a black backpack and few papers in his hands.
“Oh, Good Morning, Boss. Ms. Choi is looking for you, she is very angry. Vincenzo is onto something again.”
“Uhh…okay I’ll go see her. Jia, you can take a look around.”
“Don’t worry, Boss. I’ll accompany her.” He said with an innocent smile.
“Jia, don’t do anything stupid without informing me.” Seung Hyuk said with a grimace, he did not want to leave her alone with Han Seok but if he refused now, it would only create more suspicion.
“I’ll be alright, Samchon. You should go now.”
Jia looked at the guy who was still smiling, “So, what’s your name?”
“Jang Jun Woo. Nice to meet you.” He extended his hand and surprisingly, he was good at English, his accent sounded American.
“Han Jia.” Jia shook his hand firmly. “Did you live abroad?”
“Oh..yes…I studied in New York. By the way, what should I call you? You seem younger but I don’t want to talk informaly.” He made a pout and said, “Boss will kill me.”
“Just call me Jia. He won’t kill you.” Jia said while laughing.
“Are you going to join Wusang? I heard you have been a legal advisor.”
“Nope. I am going to join Babel.”
“B...Babel?” Jun Woo stuttered.
“Why are you so shocked? Do you think I’m not good enough?”
“No..no no..it’s just..Babel is very demanding, and the CEO is kind of…”
“I know. I have heard things. Words and rumours don’t really scare me though.”
“Wow! You really are one of a kind. What position will you apply for?”
“The chairman’s P.A.”
“Isn’t being a P.A. too low a post for you?”
“We have just met. Are you a spy or a detective or something? C’mon now, don’t spoil the mood by mentioning work. You are supposed to show me around.”
“Umm, sorry. I did not mean to offend you, I’m not very good at socializing.” He said with the sheepish smile again.
She nodded and gave him a pat on the shoulder, “Don’t worry.”
Later at night, Han Seok told Han Seo to give Jia the post of his Personal Secretory without interviewing her.
“Okay, Hyung Nim. Is she your acquaintance?”
“I am trying to find that out. It would be great if she is, and if she’s not. I’ll make her one. Can’t let go of a GK employee.”
“I don’t..really understand. Do you already know her?”
“Oh, my poor brother, if you understood everything you wouldn’t be my puppet. Don’t think too much, hmm?” He said while mocking his brother, like he always did. “For now, just know that she is Mr. Han’s niece. Also, keep a close eye on her.”
Han Seo nodded in agreement, but his heart and mind disagreed. This incessant war between what he wanted to do and what he did has been going on since he was young. Alas! He had no choice.

I Dreamt About You Every Night
Tony Stark has been dead for seventeen years due to a mission gone wrong. He's survived getting blown up, palladium poisoning, terrorist attacks, and even Thanos himself, and he gets killed by - what was supposed to be - a simple day-to-day mission. Or, so everyone thought.

Chapter Five
Truth never damages a cause that is just. - Mahatma Gandhi
"What do you think you're doing?" M.J demands to know as she barges into Peter's lab, Peter looking like a kid that just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar when she began looking at the video he was watching.
"No, Peter, we can't be back to this." M.J says, shaking her head at the same video that she saw the first couple of years Tony was missing. The same video that was playing when she found Peter lifeless. "You have a job, now, and a family that needs you desperately. You cannot become obsessed with this again." M.J scolds.
"I know, Love, I know, and I'm not going to become obsessed again. I just wanted to comb through this one more time, just to make sure we're not missing something now that we know the base is somewhere in New Jersey." Peter explains, making M.J sigh.
"Your kids miss you. You've been down here all day." M.J tells Peter making him the one to sigh this time.
"I'm sorry. I promise I'll make it up to all of you tomorrow. How about when you take Claire to her dentist appointment tomorrow, I'll pick the other two kids up from school and after the appointment you can meet us out for a nice family dinner. Just us, no distractions." Peter offers.
"Just us?"
"Just us." Peter confirms.
"No distractions?"
"Absolutely none at all." Peter says smiling when he saw the grin forming on his wife's face.
"You know what, Tiger, I think you have a deal." M.J says while wrapping her arms around Peter's neck. Peter couldn't resist standing up and planting a kiss on her lips, chuckling a bit at the fact that he was still able to make the "big, bad" Michelle melt.
"How about we call it a night and go to bed?" Peter asks as they slowly pulled away.
"I think you've got yourself another deal."
* * *
"Mr. Parker, you have a visitor." Peter's P.A knocks on the door, her confusion already telling him who said visitor could possibly be.
"It's okay, let him in." Peter permits, quickly double checking his work on his computer before saving it. Something told him he wasn't going to be getting much work done now.
"Hey, Underoos." Tony greets as he walks into the office, Peter only pretending to be annoyed at the nickname; in reality he's been dying to hear Tony tease him again like this.
"Hey, Tony, what are you doing here?" Peter asks not unkindly.
"Oh, just wanted to check out Parker Industries, see what my protégé has accomplished while I was gone. You know, I've heard from Pep that Parker Industries is our top competitor." Tony says, but rather than sounding mad he sounded impressed.
"Yeah, we're usually nipping on your toes because with M.J working at Stark Industries, we don't want to put you guys out of business and have her lose her job." Peter teases right back, smiling at the fake wounded look Tony put on.
"Ouch, Parker, I'm hurt." Tony mock ups, making Peter roll his eyes fondly.
"Would it make you feel better if we went downstairs and looked at some of the R&D labs I got going on here?" Peter offers, Tony pretend to actually think about it.
"Yeah, you know what, I think that would actually do the trick." Tony answers, making Peter laugh as he got up and began leading the way.
He decided to give Tony a full tour of the company, making sure to spend time showing him everything that he managed to create and accomplish over the past decade. After a few hours, when Peter was satisfied Tony saw everything there was to see, both men went down to the company's cafeteria and got a quick bite to eat. "So, have you figured anything else out about the possible location of the base?" Peter asks once they settled down at one of the cafeteria tables. "A bit. I've got it narrowed down roughly, but I still don't know where exactly it could be." Tony answers making both of them sigh
Before anyone could say anything else, Peter's phone began to ring. Peter huffed and pulled his phone out, quickly signaling to Tony to give him a minute when he saw that it was M.J calling him.
"Hey, Darling, what's up?" Peter answers.
'Peter, love of my life, please, please, please, tell me you picked Ben and Annie up from school early.' M.J says, sounding like she was out of breath.
"What? No, it's not time for me to pick them up yet. Wait, why does it sound like you're running? Are you running? Why are you running?" Peter questions, not being able to hold in the worry that he was beginning to feel.
'I'm running because I just got a call from the school saying someone just came and picked Ben and Annie up from school.' M.J says, Peter easily picking up on the fear in her voice as the sound of a car door closing is heard in the background.
"Hey, it's going to be okay. Maybe Nat or Morgan just decided to sign them out and play hooky with them." Peter tries to placate, also trying to convince himself that everything was okay.
‘No, Peter, I have a really bad feeling about this. The secretary said it was some man and he said that he worked with the Avengers so she allowed it, but called me because she wasn't sure and-’ M.J nervously rambles, Peter cutting in and stopping her from working herself into a tizzy.
"Okay, okay, listen to me. You and Claire go home. Don't stop anywhere on the way, don't talk to anyone, not until I get to the school and figure out what's going on." Peter instructs, getting up and signaling to Tony that they needed to go. "I will figure out what's going on, Love, I promise."
'Find our children, Peter Parker. You find our children.' M.J shakily says, clearly trying to put up a mask she no longer was used to having to wear.
"I will. I swear to you, I will. You and Claire just focus on getting home safe." Peter says before exchanging his goodbyes and hanging up. "We need to go to the kid's school, now." Peter tells Tony, putting as much urgency as he could in his voice.
"Why, what's going on?" Tony asks, instantly following Peter when he began walking away.
"Someone picked the kids up from school and we don't know who it is so just to be on the safe side we need to go to figure out who signed them out." Peter explains, both of the men being quick to get up to Peter's office.
"So, why aren't we going up to the school?" Tony questions, watching as Peter sat down at his desk and began doing something on his laptop.
"Because the school's not going to have answers for me - they don't even know who picked the kids up - so I'm going to directly to the source and figure it out myself." Peter answers, smiling when he saw the confusion still sitting on Tony's face. "I'm hacking into the security camera footage." Peter explains, pulling a laugh out of Tony.
"You know, almost two decades have passed, but you, Peter Parker, have not changed a bit." Tony lightheartedly says, coming around and looking over Peter's shoulder at the footage on the laptop.
Peter fast-forwarded through most of the footage, gasping and pausing it when two men began walking in.
"Tony, you said you have a rough estimate to where that base was?" Peter asks as he begins to zoom into one of the men's faces.
"Yeah, why? Who is that?"
"I don't know who he is exactly, but I would recognize him from anywhere. He's one of the men in the video we have from the night you disappeared." Peter tells the scientist.
"Why does he look like that?" Tony questions, completely stunning Peter with the odd change of subject.
"Look like what?"
"Like he's trying desperately to be one of those vampires from that book series." Tony says, Peter gaping at him in return.
"Really? That's what you're worried about? Not that fact that he took my kids, but the fact that he looks like a Twilight character?"
"No, you're right, sorry. So are you sure that this is the guy? I mean, I guess it would be difficult not recognizing him, looking like that." Tony questions, wanting to be certain about this before they go in guns blazing.
"Tony, I have watched that video over a thousand times. Trust me when I say this is him." Peter says, brushing past the comment of his looks again.
"Alright, then suit up. Looks like we're going back to New Jersey."

"Annie. Annie-May, wake up." Ben whispers to his younger sister, who was still laying on the floor passed out. Looking around the - what looked like - a storage room turned cell that they were in, Ben tried to remember exactly what happened.
He remembered getting called out of class and going into the office to leave, but after that it begins to get a little fuzzy. He couldn't remember who it was that picked him up, but clearly they weren't anyone good or else he wouldn't be sitting here tied up with his youngest sister.
The real questions was, how did they manage to get Ben and Annie to actually go with them, and why couldn't Ben remember anything about it?
"Annie, come on, it's time to wake up now." Ben tries again, trying to reach over and nudge Annie as best as he could. It was a bit difficult though, considering his hands were tied behind his back and he had legs that didn't seem to want to work.
Slowly Annie began to stir, Ben sighing in relief when he saw that his sister was waking up.
"Come on, Annie-May. Wake-up!" Ben continues to say, Annie scrunching up her face in return.
"Leave me alone, Benji. 'M sleepin'." Annie mumbles, causing Ben to huff in return.
"Now is not the time to sleep. Now is the time to figure out where we are." Ben says, confusing Annie enough to convince her to open her eyes. It only took a few seconds of looking around before Annie realized that they were in some sort of trouble.
"Benji, where are we?" Annie asks, struggling to sit up as she did so.
"I have no clue. Someone managed to take us somehow." Ben replies, giving Annie a sympathetic look when she let out a low whimper.
"What do they want from us?" Annie hesitantly asks, going to anxiously suck on her fingers until she remembered that her hands were tied behind her back.
"I don't know. It has to do with wanting something from Dad. You know how people will do anything to get at the Avengers for something." Ben replies, rolling his eyes with as much annoyance as he felt. "Can you break free from those?" Ben asks, nodding his head towards the ropes that were holding Annie's hands back.
Clearly whoever took him and Annie didn't take into consideration that they could have possibly inherited powers from their Father because they were both tied in in plain rope. Although, the only person they really underestimated was Annie; Ben was unfortunately - well, unfortunately to him - born normal.
Annie just nodded before using her strength to bust out of the ropes, rubbing her wrists in order to ease the slight burns there.
"Now hurry up and untie me." Ben commands, turning his hands so Annie can get to them.
"What do we do?" Annie asks once she managed to free Ben's hands from their confines.
"We need to find a safe place to hide. We can't just stay in this cell and hope that the people who took us aren't going to hurt us, but I also can't walk well enough for us to completely leave where we are. So, our safest bet is to just find a random room, lock ourselves in, and wait for Dad to get here with the Avengers." Ben simplifies for the eight-year-old, sighing when he saw tears forming in her eyes.
"Don't cry." Ben pleads, only succeeding in making the tears fall.
"I'm scared." Annie admits to her older brother. "What happens if we get caught before Daddy finds us?" Annie cries, Ben being quick to pull her to his chest to muffle her cries so whoever was guarding them would still think they were passed out.
"We're not going to get caught, I swear to you. We just need to be quick; you need to help me get to another room." Ben says, Annie nodding to show that she understood. "Now listen out in the hallway and tell me if you can hear anyone." Ben directs, pushing Annie towards the door of the cell.
"So, did our oh-so-fearless leader contact the two Avengers?" Annie hears a man's voice ask.
"Nah, he didn't need to. I guarantee that as soon as that Spider-Guy realized his kids are gone he's going to be running right over on over here with Iron Man by his side." A second man says.
"It was really stupid of them to come back to that corn field. I mean, did they really think that we weren't going to be searching every inch of that cornfield for Stark?" The first man chuckles.
"Speaking of which, why aren't you watching to make sure they don't escape?" The second man all but shouts making Annie gasp in fear.
"Because the girl is no older than ten and the boy is crippled. You really think they need to have a close eye kept on them? We're of better use out here to help fight these comic book wannabes." The first voice says, the reply from the second voice being left unheard due to Annie pulling away from the door.
"They don't know I have powers." Annie tells Ben, confirming his suspicion.
"Good, it's good that they underestimated you; it'll make it easier for us to escape. Do you think you can break the handle off the door and get us out of here?" Ben asks, smiling encouragingly when Annie nodded her confirmation.
Slowly, and as quietly as she could, Annie broke the handle in half and pulled it out. Gently, she reached down and helped her brother stand as best as he could before steadily pushing the door open.
"Do you hear anything?" Ben whispers once they both peered around the door and didn't see anyone.
"No one close enough to see us." Annie replies.
"Good, good. Okay, so you see that closet over there? I'm going to need you to help us get over there." Ben instructs, slightly feeling bad when he had to lean most of his weight onto his younger sister.
"Wait, wait, before you open the door." Ben stops his sister once they were standing in front of the room, turning himself to face back down the hall. As soon as he steadied himself against the wall, he took the handle that Annie was thankfully still holding, and chucked it down to the other side of the hall.
"What?! Why would you do that? What was-" Annie began to question her voice shrill with fear. Ben was quick to slap his hand over her mouth, though, pushing both of them into the room and shutting the door as the two men Annie heard from before began to shout and run down the hall.
"Listen, listen to me, I know you're scared, I know, but just - shh, for a second. I had to throw that down there because now they think we've ran down the other hall. They have no idea or suspicion that we're down here now so, shh. It's okay." Ben explains, plopping down on the ground and leaning against one of the lab tables there while simultaneously ignoring the reason for there to be lab tables here.
Before either child could get even remotely comfortable, the ground beneath them began to shake.
"What's happening?" Annie whines as she falls to her knees, crawling over to Ben instead of walking.
"I'm not sure." Ben admits, looking around the room to try and find a safer spot for them. Once he saw that the lab table they were against had an empty storage hole, he began pushing Annie towards it. "Here, crawl into there."
"What about you? You can't fit." Annie cries out, stopping herself from going further into the cubby hole when she realized.
"I'm going to keep guard. Make sure no one's getting in here." Ben says making Annie scoff at him.
"Yeah, because out of the two of us, the kid who can't even walk without crutches is more fit to fight soldiers than the kid with powers." Annie snarks, earning a glare in return.
"You're a baby, you don't know what you're talking about." Ben dismisses, sliding the storage door closed and effectively muffling Annie's protest.
Ben crawled as best as he could to the door, pressing his ear to the door to try and see if he could hear anything. He could hear faint shouts an gunshots in the background, but nothing prepared him for the door to the room swinging right open.

Author’s Note: As per usual, the end of season two means that there will be no posts next week to give me enough time to get ahead in writing season 3, because school is starting up for me next week and things will be getting harder to manage. I hope you all understand if there is a lack in my scheduled posts, but I will be trying my hardest to get the chapters written on time

The waiting game you were playing had to be the worst game ever. You were stuffed into a hot, tight, vent with Harper, your only light shining through the slates in the cover. You could hear everything going on outside the vent but now it was just silence. You could only hear yours and Harper’s breaths as your left hand rested in hers and your right twisted your locket rapidly.
Your eyes spaced out as your brain thought of everything that could go wrong and everything that could go right. Of course, the bad had once again outweighed the good on a massive scale, and your heart was beating faster than ever. Not knowing was the worst possible thing for you; everyone could be dead by now and they just haven’t found you and Harper yet.
A shaky breath fell from your lips and Harper squeezed your hand, causing you to look over at her. In the quietest voice she could manage, she whispered, “We’ll be okay. They’ll save us, and we’ll get to go home.”
You nodded at her words, bringing a small amount of comfort to you. An unknown amount of time had passed, though for you it felt like forever, when the PA system from outside in the hall spoke. The two of you were able to understand the words that were coming from the speakers, as it flowed through the vents and into your ears.
“My fellow citizens,” Cage addressed the people. “This is your President speaking. I have news to share with you that will change all of our lives forever. For 97 years, Mount Weather has been our home.”
Your heart rate began to pick up once again at his voice. “It’s kept us alive, but it has also held us captive. Most of us have made peace with what we’ve had to do to survive. We’ve done these things for one reason-- so that our people could someday return to the ground. That day is today.”
Harper's hand squeezed yours and you reciprocated, fear striking your heart. “Before my friend, Lorelai Tsing, was murdered by the outsiders still at large in this mountain, she found a cure. It was in their bone marrow. This has been the dream of our people since the bombs, but to reach it now, I need your help.”
Your breaths were getting quicker by the second as you felt the air around you seem to diminish. He was going public, and you were going to die. “The 45 criminals that irradiated level 5, killing 15 of our people, are now keeping us from that dream. Although we’ve repaired our home, we can never replace the lives that were so viciously taken from us.”
“And as hard as it is to believe, there are those among us who would help the people who did this, and I am speaking to you now. If you truly want to end the blood treatments once and for all, then the 45 murderers you’re now hiding are the key to doing that.”
You felt your blood run cold as he tried to convince his rebels to hand over your friends and kill you all to live on the ground, even though it is not truly theirs. It belongs to everyone who survived the bombs, everyone who spent years upon years in space living dreadful lives with strict rules. The people of Mount Weather may have stayed on the ground in a bunker for 97 years, but they’ve had it easy.
“You have one hour to turn them in without punishment. After that, we’ll be forced to consider you enemies of the state.” He took a small pause. “I am asking you, please, do what’s right for your people, our people, so that we can all take our rightful place on the ground.”
“We’re almost home.” He finalized, and nothing else was heard from him.
You closed your eyes in fear of what the old couple hiding you were going to do, but they just smiled in your direction. After waiting and waiting some more, there was a knock at the couple’s front door. They hurried and opened the door to reveal two guards, asking to step inside. They were allowed, and the pair began to search the couple’s home.
After being asked questions, the couple denied every accusation the guards had posed, and you watched worriedly as one of them continued searching. As he neared the vent, you stopped breathing and backed away from the entrance, hitting your head on the top of it and creating a large bang in the process.
The guard put his hand on his gun and ripped the bent cover off, aiming the pistol at your now revealed form. “Get out of there! Now!”
You moved as quickly as you could, pulling Harper out with you. The guard that was near the couple radioed that they had found another pair of your people while the one that found you strapped handcuffs to yours and Harper’s wrists. You sent her an apologetic look as you were being dragged out of the room.
Surprisingly, this time as you went down the hall, instead of feeling fear or worry, you couldn’t feel anything. You supposed that was due to being in the face of death many times before, but you didn’t feel a thing. But you knew yourself; the reality of situations don’t set in until the very last second when you know something’s happening. When your father left, you didn’t feel the sadness or heartbreak of the situation until your first night without him, when he didn’t come say goodnight after your mother.
You trudged along until they found two more of your people, cuffing them and dragging them with you to wherever you were going to be taken. They brought you down the halls, and as you were about to reach the elevator, the power cut off. All of you looked around in confusion before you realized that they were here. The army was coming and you would go home.
And then the alarms went off again and an automated message came through the P.A. “Attention. Class one quarantine protocols are now in effect. All citizens must report to level 5 immediately. Hard seal lockdown in t-minus 30 seconds and counting. This is not a drill.”
The guards put you on the elevator and directed it to level 5, where you were brought back to the dorms. You took a glance around the room, seeing Miller, Raven, Wick, and the other delinquents, but not Bellamy, Jasper, or Monty. They directed you over to the left and put you behind Raven, taking the cuffs off your right hand and pulling it over the pipe to reconnect them, leaving you hanging from your arms.
You knew you could’ve just put up a fight when they left you partially cuffed, but that would result in you dying first, and despite basically having accepted your fate, you didn’t want it to end just yet. The teenager on the table was screaming and covered in blood, but you directed your focus to the door once it opened again after a few minutes.
The guards brought in more people, this time dressed in Ark clothing, and put them on their knees. They lifted the bags from their head, revealing Monroe, Miller’s father, Abby, and your dad. You pulled on your restraints to try to break free and get to your father, but it was a waste of energy. He saw you and relief seemed to flood his face at the fact that you were okay, but the circumstances weren’t anywhere near ideal.
All you seemed to do in trying to get to your father was rub your wrists to the point of bleeding. You gave up after the pain settled in and your father was cuffed to the wall with the others. Once the teen on the table was bled dry and dead, they removed him and decided that Raven was their new subject.
As soon as they came for her both you and Wick volunteered to be chosen instead of her, but they didn’t listen and tased her instead, uncuffing her and strapping her to the table to begin their twisted procedure. As the doctor began to pull the strap up near her face, she got close enough to bite a chunk of the man’s neck off.
She then decided to thrash around as much as possible, making sure she didn’t go down without a fight. However, it didn’t take long for her to stop, as they tased her long enough to get her to near passing out. The screams that escaped her lips as they drove the drill into her thigh were going to haunt you, the worry for your friends' safety coursing through you. As she screamed you began to beg that it was you they took first, but they didn’t listen.
You pulled on your restraints and screamed for them to take you, but Raven’s screams were still enough to drown you out until it sounded like you were just a whisper. At least until Cage entered the room again. He ordered for Raven to be taken off of the table, but the doctor said that they weren’t done yet, Cage demanded that she was taken off and the doctor reluctantly complied.
Cage turned and gave a sick smile to you, and then pointed. “Put her on it. You wanted to take her place so bad, so let’s hit them where it hurts.”
You immediately began your protest and so did the others, but you didn’t fight as hard as you should’ve. He was right, this is what you wanted, to spare Raven of the extra pain on top of what she was already struggling to deal with. So, you moved with the guards, sitting on the table. As you were being strapped in you nodded to your father and told him you were okay.
He and Abby were shouting at Cage to fix this, so people wouldn’t have to die for bone marrow. Everyone could just donate instead of dying for it, but Cage ignored him and told him to proceed with the drilling. The doctor turned it on and the whirring of the drill scared you a little bit, but you felt numb. This was your time, and you could accept that for now. As long as everyone else was safe, you could accept dying.
They tore a piece out of the thigh of your pant leg, where they started with Raven. The drilling got closer to you and the doctor put his hand on your thigh to steady it and hold down the torn fabric, shoving the drill into your flesh. It hurt, but the pain from the drill going directly into your bone was one thousand times worse. You could feel it digging deeper into your bone, and the vibrations of the drill were practically shaking your skeleton, making the pain spread throughout your entire body instead of just your thigh.
Your screams echoed through the room, the only sound that you could hear. Your eyes squeezed shut at an attempt to relieve some of the pain but it didn’t help. Clarke and Bellamy looked at you in worry and sadness as your pain was on display on the large monitor.
“Clarke, if we do this, there is no going back!” Bellamy yelled. The conflict she faced was shown in her features. If she irradiated the level, she could save her people; but in doing so she would kill countless people. If she didn’t, her mother, her friends, and you would die.
She looked at Monty. “Figure it out.” And away he went, typing on the computer to figure out a way to save his people.
By the time that Jasper had been brought into the room, you didn’t have enough fight to keep screaming. Your throat was raw and your energy dwindled quickly. You barely registered that they caught Jasper.
Back in the security room, Monty finished his task.
“Why are you stopping?” Clarke asked urgently.
“Because I did it,” Monty said, astonished. “All we have to do is pull this.” He pointed at the lever. “The vents and hatches will open, and the scrubbers will reverse, pulling in outside air.”
A beat of tense silence filled the security room as Bellamy watched Emerson try to get in through the monitors. Quickly, he pulled his weapon and aimed it at the door. “He’s gonna blow the door.”
“Clarke. We’re out of time.” Monty told the blonde, who put her hand on the lever.
Hesitantly, she looked up at the monitor, her friends and family tied up like animals and her close friend being drained of her bone marrow. Bellamy watched his sister and Maya being pinned to the ground. “My sister, my responsibility.”
Bellamy put his hand on the lever, right on top of Clarke’s. The burden she faced was a little lighter now that she didn’t have to do it all alone. “Together,”
Clarke nodded at her friend and slowly, their hands pulled the lever back, dooming everyone who lived in the mountain to death so their friends and family could live. Alarms started blaring and the yellow lights flashed, the guards in the dorm dropping to the floor in pain. Your vision was hazy as Jasper ran from the room and your father shouted at him.
You turned your head and looked at your father, tired. Then Octavia came into view, diving down and coming back up, unhooking your father and Abby from their cuffs, then moving onto the others. Your father ran towards you with Abby, the woman working on removing your leg restraints and your father pulling off the strap around your neck.
“Where’s… where are Clarke and Bellamy?”
Your father gave you no answer as he worked on getting your wrists free. As soon as he did so, you were pulled into his arms, weakly wrapping your own around his neck. “I told you coming back was a bad idea.”
With help, you sat up at the edge of the medical table, hugging Abby when Clarke and Bellamy came into the room with Monty. Everyone else was being freed, and to your surprise, Clarke came straight to your side to hug you.
“I thought you were dead,” She sobbed, the stress finally overcoming her.
“I’m okay, I always am.” You joked. “How many times do I have to tell everyone, death isn’t something I’m fit for.”
She laughed a little and pulled away, heading over to her mom. Not even 10 seconds after she had let go of you, Bellamy had his arms wrapped tightly around you. You hugged back just as tightly, tucking your face into Bellamy’s neck, just as he did. It took a moment to realize that the both of you were crying in relief that the other was okay.
“I knew you shouldn’t have come, I told you it wasn’t safe,” Bellamy solded lightly, more concerned with if you were completely okay than lecturing you. You chuckled at him and Smoothed the hair on the back of his head down.
“I’m never one to listen to people, Bell.” You reminded him.
He pulled away a little bit, just enough to look at you. He had tear streaks on his face, as did you, the relief that it was all over making everyone emotional. You kept your eyes on his as he pushed some hair out of your face, admiring you. His soft, brown eyes looked you over, checking for any other injuries aside from the one on your leg.
“Are you okay?” He asked, concern in his tone.
“I’m fine, Bell.”
“Good. Good.” He seemed to be thinking over something, the gears in his head turning as hard as ever as anxiety shone in his eyes. The hand that once pushed your hair wavy now rested partially on your cheek, and within seconds, Bellamy seemed to have made up his mind.
His eyes flickered towards your lips as he moved forward the smallest bit, eyelids fluttering. Acting on instinct, you moved closer to him, closing your eyes. His breath fanned on your lips as he moved closer, and the bundle of nerves in your stomach was tightening as the seconds passed. The buildup felt like it took centuries, not seconds.
Your mind seemed to be made up, and your hand went to the back of Bellamy’s neck, pulling him closer until his lips were on yours. He seemed a little stunned at the action but kissed back, moving his hands to rest on your waist as you wrapped your other arm around Bellamy’s neck. The need for air was increasing as the kiss continued, but you both ignored it for as long as possible, wanting to be close after everything.
Once you both decided that you needed air, you pulled away with a smile. “I’ve wanted to do that since the dropship.”
“Me too,” You agreed. He chuckled and pulled you back into a hug, though this time it felt very different, there was something else in it, something you couldn’t place, but it was nice.
A throat cleared from behind you, and you pulled away to see your father. “You did good, Bellamy,” He put a hand on his shoulder. “Now let’s get these people home.”
“Yes, sir.”
You could tell your dad was going to say something when Octavia came up to the three of you. “Where’s Cage?”
“He probably escaped, but if anything he’ll be dead within the week.” You assured them.
Though wary, the group nodded and Octavia hugged you. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you, too, ‘Tavia.”
Once everyone was ready, Bellamy looped one arm around your waist and put yours around your neck, and Octavia did the same. Walking would be hard for you on the way back, but you insisted that Raven needed the stretcher more than you did, and you didn’t want to inconvenience anyone more than necessary.
At some point during the walk, your leg began to give way again and Bellamy just carried you the rest of the way. Your father was near the front with Abby, while you stayed with Bellamy at the gate, no longer being carried by him, making sure that everyone got in safely.
Your attention was brought to Clarke and Monty, who were hugging. Limping, you and Bellamy met her just outside the exit. “I think we deserve a drink.”
“More like a whole damn bottle,”
“Have one for me.” Clarke told you.
“Hey, if we can get through this--” Bellamy started.
“I’m not going in.” You looked sadly at your friend, understanding what she was saying.
Bellamy seemed to catch on too. “Look, if you need forgiveness, I’ll give that to you. You’re forgiven.”
“Please come inside, Clarke.” You asked.
“Take care of them for me,” She requested.
“Clarke--”
“No. Seeing their faces every day is just gonna remind me of what I did to get them here.”
“What we did.” Bellamy reminded her.
“You don’t have to do this alone, you know.” You assured her.
“I bear it so they don’t have to,” She cited, tearing up.
“Where are you gonna go?” Bellamy asked.
“I don’t know.” Clarke admitted.
Quickly, she kissed Bellamy’s cheek and pulled him into a hug. “May we meet again.”
She let go and moved to you, struggling to keep her emotions down as she did. “I love you, sister.”
You heard her struggle to suppress a sob at your words and smoothed down the hair on your head. “I love you, too, sister.”
With that, she took a step back and looked between the two of you. “Take care of each other,”
You watched as the girl that you had come to consider as your sister walked away from home and into the forest, where you had no clue where she would end up. Your leg started giving out again and you grabbed Bellamy’s arm, leading him to pick you up again and carry you towards medical so Abby could help you.
Now, all you could do was keep on living, and see where life would take you.

Ch.2 Ch.3
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖✖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Nara had just sat down for what felt like the first time in her 18 hour shift, taking a sip of her much needed coffee and a bite from her apple, she felt the familiar buzz of her pager before she heard a code being called over the hospital P.A. system.
“Code blue, trauma room 1. Code blue, trauma room 1.”
Groaning, she chugged what was left of her coffee.
“So much for an apple a day”, she thought, stealing one last bite.
She ran as fast as she could from the break room, through the corridor, down three flights of stairs, sliding over a gurney, and around a corner just as a nurse and intern group were beginning their hospital tour.
“And that was nurse, Hwang Nara, the resident LUNATIC.” the nurse giving the tour shouted.
“I think you mean badass!” Nara said, tossing a couple of finger guns and a wink toward the group before continuing on her way.
And she was. A badass that is. She had only been a trauma nurse at Ansan Hospital for a short time now and was already making a name for herself. Sure among them were the occasional ‘lunatic’, ‘unhinged’, ‘reckless’, etc. But more than anything she was gifted, and a great asset to the hospital - when she wasn’t being a liability or a thorn in anyone’s side - and any doctor or nurse in that hospital would tell you the same.
When she arrived at trauma room #1, nurses were scrambled around an unconscious man who was struggling to breathe. No amount of oxygen or air being manually pumped from the ambulatory bag were providing any aid to the suffering man.
Nara looked around and realized she had made it there before any of the on-call doctors. Pushing her way to the front she pulled her stethoscope from her pocket, pressing the icy cold metal to the patient’s bare chest. It only took a moment for her to realize what was wrong.
“Stop the ambu. It won’t work” she informed the others.
“He has a tension pneumothorax. His right lung has collapsed and air is filling his chest cavity. Where is the cardio team?”
All the surgeons were either in surgery or on other urgent cases. Nara knew that the patient wouldn’t last while waiting for them to arrive.
“Give me a large bore needle, please.”
No one made any movements to assist her.
“Anyone? He needs a thoracostomy!”
“It’s against protocol, Nara” another nurse said. “We should wait for a surgeon to get here.”
“We don’t have time for that. If he dies while we’re waiting, do you want to explain to his family and friends that we could have saved him if it wasn’t for fucking protocol?”
Still no one moved to assist her.
“Fine! I’ll do it myself.”
Nara retrieved a large bore needle, a mask, gloves, and iodine from the room’s supply cabinet.
She carefully disinfected the area just above the patient’s third rib on his right side making sure she had located the intercostal space along the midclavicular line. She then slowly inserted the needle into the disinfected area at a 90 degree angle, keeping her hand steady as to not damage any of the underlying blood vessels.
A pregnant pause overtook the room as everyone held their breath. At some point the nursing students and their tour guide had made their way to the E.R. and were now watching the scene in stunned silence.
A moment later, a rush of air could be heard coming from the patient’s chest followed by the sounds of the bedside machines alerting the staff to his stabalizing vital signs.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, smiling, and congratulating Nara for saving the man’s life - well not everyone.
“Hwang Nara!” she heard her superior call out. “Why am I not surprised it’s you? My office, now!”
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖✖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Pulling her keys from her purse, Nara trudged up the stairs to her apartment, her legs heavy and energy drained from the brutal 18 hour shift. A shift that mind you, should have ended on a high but instead ended with her once again being reprimanded by her department head effectively killing the adrenaline rush and pride she felt after saving that patient.
Reaching the top of the stairs, she started around the corner when a hand clamped down over her mouth and a large arm pulled her back toward the stairwell. Panic spread through her body and her blood ran cold. She tried to scream but it was muffled and the stranger shushed her. There was something familiar about this person. Something nostalgic in the way they smelled and they way their hands felt. She knew this person, she was sure of it. But who did she know that would try and kidnap her? She tried to scream again, when the grip on her mouth got tighter.
“Shhhhh shh Nara, it’s me, be quiet.”
She did know him. It was Hoseok. This knowledge however didn’t alleviate her stress, instead it filled her with rage. She channeled her anger into enough force to elbow him in the chest, his hand falling from her mouth in surprise, but the other still remained tight around her waist.
“Yah! Lee Hoseok, are you crazy? What in the hell do you think you—?”
In a flash, he had her spun around, looking into her eyes. “Wow”, she thought. “How was he still this beautiful?”
“Nara listen to me, you have to be quiet. You can yell at me later, I promise.”
“Later? Why would there be a later Hoseo–?” Nara was became more indignant with each word from Hoseok.
Hoseok shoved her up against the nearest wall.
“Nara! For the love of god will you please shut up?”
She was going to attempt to argue once more when she realized how anxious he appeared, his body was rigid and his eyes kept searching up and down the halls. “What was happening?”, she questioned internally.
At that moment three men in black hats and masks ran out of her apartment. Her eyes widened and she was about to scream at them and ask what in the hell they were doing when Hoseok placed a finger over her mouth and shook his head, his eyes pleading with her to stay quiet.
“I swear I heard keys hyungnim. She should be home by now. Her shift ended an hour ago”, one of the masked men could be heard saying.
They were heading in the direction of the stairwell where she and Hoseok were hiding and she was beginning to grasp the situation. These men were here for her. “But why?”
As they quickly made there way towards the stairs, Hoseok maneuvered his body in front of hers, his back facing the men and leaned in close. To anyone approaching it would seem as if they were just two lovers taking advantage of one another in the stairwell.
The men approached them curiously but the charade worked and they quickly left the apartment building, the elder scolding the younger that he must have been mistaken about her work schedule.
When the danger seemed to be gone, at least for the immediate future, Nara regained her senses. She shoved against Hoseok’s chest with all of her strength.
“Hoseok, you have five seconds to tell me what’s going on and who those men were.”
Hoseok grabbed Nara’s arm, dragging her inside of her apartment. He checked all the rooms and when they were secured he locked the door. Nara stood with her arms crossed over her chest, still waiting for an explanation. He ignored her and made his way into her bedroom, an increasingly agitated Nara following behind him.
“Are you going to answer me? What are you doing here? Who were those men?”
He continued to ignored her, opening her closet, rummaging around until he found a duffle bag. He removed the bag and set it on her bed.
“I’ll explain later, but right now we have to get out of here. Fill this bag with the things you need quickly and lets go.”
“Wooow! You really have lost your damn mind, huh? What makes you think I’d go anywhere with you? I haven’t seen you in six years and you just show up out of the blue all ‘Nara we have to go’. Hell no! You don’t get to do tha–”
“Your dad is missing, Nara.”
Nara stumbled a bit and gripped the door frame for stability taken aback by Hoseok’s words.
“What did you just say? Th-that’s not possible, I just talked to him last night.”
“I know. We checked his phone records. You were the last person he spoke to. He wasn’t at the house this morning when I got there to pick him up and he didn’t show up for any of his meetings today.  Hyunwoo and the others are searching for him right now and I’m guessing those men who were just here had something to do with it too so we need to go, NOW!”
Nara couldn’t handle the onslaught of information, finding her nearby desk chair to sit down as her legs threatened to give out. Hoseok kneeled in front of her.
“Nara-yah….”
Hearing him call her name endearingly made her want to simultaneously hurl and throw her arms around his neck and sob.
“I know this is a lot, but I promise you we will find him, okay?” - He swiped a stray hair from her face, brushing it behind her ear - “But right now, we need to get you out of here before those men come back.”
She knew he was right, as much as she hated to admit it so after a few calming breaths, she silently placed all of her necessities into the duffle and grabbed a picture of her father and followed Hoseok out of the apartment building. He lead her to a sleek midnight blue two door sports car. “The car suits him”, she thought. He opened her door for her and placed her bag in the back seat. She slid down into the cool, smooth leather seats and hugged her coat closer to her body.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖✖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
As they sped through the dark streets, Nara stole glances at Hoseok. He hadn’t changed at all. Sure he was older and bigger, much bigger, but his features were the same, somehow more handsome with maturity. His jaw was clenched and the veins in his defined arms pulsed as he shifted gears and gripped the wheel tighter. His stress and anxiety were clear.
This fact didn’t surprise her. Hoseok had always been close with her dad, even beyond their working relationship and Nara suspected that Hoseok was just as affected by her father’s disappearance as she was.
When they passed the exit for her father’s house, she asked where they were going. Hoseok explained that people were watching her father’s home and that it would be too dangerous to return there. He said he was taking her to their hideout on the outskirts of the city.
“Who are they? I know Hyunwoo of course, but you keep saying them.”
“The rest of your dad’s special protection team. They started after you left. There are seven of us now.”
Nara shook her head in understanding and stared out the window for the rest of the car ride.
About 45 minutes later, they pulled up in front a seemingly abandoned building, lined by trees on one side and a river on the other, cutting them off completely from the city. The breeze had picked up and Nara shivered as she stepped out of the car, grabbing her bag. She followed Hoseok into the dilapidated concrete structure and toward and elevator, she was surprised to see it actually functioned. He pressed the button for the basement and the two of them descended.
The elevator doors opened up directly into a rather spacious and tasteful loft. Not at all what Nara expected to find in this building or when Hoseok referred to it as a ‘hideout’. They walked in and immediately were greeted by six sets of eyes ranging in expressions from curiosity, to boredom, and others she couldn’t quite place.
Hyunwoo was the first to say anything or make a move. He stood from the kitchen island and enveloped her in a tight hug. He pulled back, looking her over and asked if she was okay to which she just nodded. He was exactly the same. He had the same beautifully tan skin she envied, the same warm brown eyes that creased at the sides when he smiled, and a warmth and feel like an older brother would have. His presence alone instantly comforted Nara and she regretted not keeping in touch or visiting Hyunwoo, regardless of her disdain for his best friend. He ruffled her hair in true big brother style and smiled before rejoining the others around the island.
It looked like they were gathered around a tablet and some blue prints, seemingly looking for Nara’s father, Hwang Ji. Hoseok introduced her to the others and them to her in turn.  He went around the table one by one telling her their names and positions on the team.
First up was Lee Minhyuk a cute blonde who was smiling from ear to ear at her and clinging to the chestnut brown haired man to his right who’s eye smile could rival that of Hyunwoo and who had the deepest set of dimples she’d ever seen.
“Minhyukie here is our infiltration specialist. He’s good at breaking into places and taking things that aren’t his which is how he earned the title.”
“Hey to be clear, I am not a thief. I just so happen to be extremely well versed in acquiring things that don’t technically belong to me. But you know what they say, ‘finders keepers’ and all that.”
“You know that doesn’t actually apply when you break into someone’s home and ‘find’ things right?” a boy with perfectly quaffed hair and looks to match said dejectedly.
“Meh potato, tomato” the cute blonde shrugged.
“That’s no—”
“Just let him have this please” the chestnut haired man Minhyuk was clinging to said before turning his attention back to Nara. “I’m Jooheon, it’s nice to finally meet you. I’m sorry it had to happen this way. I’m in charge of the tactical unit.”
Minhyuk beamed whenever Jooheon spoke and never tore his eyes from him. Nara made a mental note that there was definitely something there. Hoseok had given up on introducing the others and thought it best they introduce themselves.
A boy with a kind almost motherly gaze looked at her with what Nara could only assume was some type of sympathy.
“I’m Kihyun, I run intelligence for the group.”
“That’s a fancy way of saying he’s in charge of the cooking.” a slightly shorter boy with jet black hair that looked almost blue said. He had a devilish grin and it made Nara uneasy when he flashed it in her direction.
A quick hand landed at the back of his neck.
“This here is our little resident psychopath, Changkyunie, who should learn to watch what he says before the cook decides to poison him, don’t you think?”
Kihyun pinched Changkyun’s cheek harshly until the latter yelped in pain.
“What are you in charge of?” Nara asked as he nursed a red cheek.
“Trust me, you don’t want to know” he said with that same unnerving smile. And for the time being, Nara wasn’t entirely sure she did want to know.
Next to him was the boy from earlier who teased Minhyuk. Nara would have sworn he got lost on his way to a runway show with his modelesque looks, if it weren’t for the knife he held in his hand twirling from finger to finger as he stared at her, disinterested.
“Aish this is exhausting…. Fine, I’m Hyungwon, I work with Minhyuk here on infiltration. But stealing isn’t my portion. I’m more of the……well distraction.”
Minhyuk hopped off his stool, finally releasing Jooheon’s arm for the first time since they arrived and rushed to Nara’s side.
“Noona, are you hungry, have you eaten?”
Noona? Nara thought to herself. They weren’t introduced more than five minutes ago and now she was noona? It was quick but not necessarily unwelcome. Minhyuk had a contagious personality and he made her feel at ease. He was comfortable and she felt her shoulders release some tension as he locked arms with her and led her to the fridge.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖✖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Kihyun ended up whipping up a delicious meal just from some leftovers in the fridge and when they were all full the others retreated back to their earlier conversations and planning on how to find her father while Hoseok showed her to what would be her room for the time being.
It was awkward to say the least. She and Hoseok had not parted on good terms, and even after six years apart, two hours in his presence had brought the emotions she had locked away bubbling to the surface.
“You should wash up and make yourself comfortable and when you’re up to it, you can come down and we will brief you on what we know so far.”
“Thanks”, was all Nara could manage to mutter, as she tried to keep her emotions at bay. Both over her father disappearing and over seeing Hoseok again.
She spent more time than was necessary in the shower, welcoming the slight sting and pink hue that the hot water brought to her skin, slowly soothing the tension in her muscles. After about 30 minutes, she decided she should leave the shower and face what was waiting for her downstairs. No matter how much she wished to just stand in the spray of the shower she knew she couldn’t remain in denial forever.
She brushed her hair and teeth, pulled on some leggings and a large tattered sweatshirt with her alma mater’s logo on it and headed down the stairs.
They all took turns explaining to her what each of them had gathered on the situation so far. They believed her dad was taken sometime between 8 - 10 p.m. the previous night. The last person he had spoken to was Nara around 7p.m.. He had sent all of them home for the day and only his minimal security unit remained at the house.
Hwang Ji had believed that his home was well enforced enough that he didn’t need them all on watch 24/7 and he was adamant about them all being able to maintain their own lives and rest comfortably in their own home. When Hoseok got to the house in the morning to pick him up and drive him into the city to the corporation, he didn’t answer his text or calls. Hoseok went inside to check on him but he wasn’t in the house and neither were any of the guards from the minimum security team. He thought that it was possible he wanted to get to the office early before his meetings and had the other guards drive him.
Hoseok drove to the office to confirm this, but was told that Hwang Ji never showed up. The guys spent the rest of the day interrogating his known rivals, and combing the streets for him. They checked the house’s CCTV and found that the surveillance and security systems were shut down around 7:30 p.m. and didn’t come back online until after 10:30 p.m.
Hoseok had a feeling that whoever took Hwang Ji may try and harm Nara too which is how he ended up at her apartment building. Nara hadn’t been home in six years, her and her father preferring to meet halfway between their respective homes to catch up. However, the team kept tabs on her and knew her schedules. Protecting her father also meant protecting his family and those dear to him. Since Hyunwoo needed to lead the tactical searches and interrogation for the group and Nara wasn’t familiar with the rest of the group, it was decided that it would be best if Hoseok was the one to go retrieve her as to lessen her alarm. A plan that hadn’t gone as well as planned when the three masked men showed up.
None of their leads or the usual suspects had turned up any promising information and they found themselves starting over from ground zero. Nara found her head spinning with all the new information and trying to keep her nerves under control. Losing her shit now wasn’t going to help find her father any faster.
Later that evening she found that it was only she, Hoseok and Hyunwoo left awake as they sat around the coffee table at 1 a.m. sharing a drink. Nara hadn’t found the strength to fall asleep yet and Hoseok and Hyunwoo stayed up with her out of worry and support.
“So how did you all come together? Where did they all come from?” Nara asked, sipping from her now warming can of beer.
“Heh, where to begin?” Hyunwoo chuckled. “Uhm Hyukie was a runaway. He comes from a pretty wealthy family but his parents have always been sadly disinterested in him or anything he did. He rebelled for a while, trying to get their attention, but eventually he just ended up leaving home.”
“I watched him shoplift from a convenience store one day and charm the panties off the girl behind the register and the security guard alike and so I followed him.” Hoseok said. “I told him what I had seen and he begged me not to turn him in. Of course that wasn’t what I was there for and I explained a bit of who I was. I brought him to meet your dad and the rest is obvious.”
“I found Kihyun” Shownu said. “He bumped into me trying to outrun the cops. He looked so helpless and I didn’t know what he was on the run for, but for some reason I decided to help him evade the police. Turns out the cops were from cyber crimes and they were after him for hacking into the Seoul National Hospital system to clear the debt for his sick mother.”
They went on like this explaining a bit of the other’s backstories and helping Nara to understand the boys she would be associating with for the foreseeable future and who her father had entrusted his life to.
Minhyuk recruited Jooheon from an underground MMA circuit. He fell for him instantly and was shocked when he found out Jooheon shared the sentiment. They’ve been together ever since.
Kihyun recruited Changkyun who brought along his childhood friend and current roommate Hyungwon. It was the only way he would agree to come. Hyungwon was a runaway too and had spent time as a male model and escort for some time before coming to the company. Changkyun was working for another crime organization as an assassin. They were lovingly dubbed the ‘psycho unit’ although they referred to Hyungwon as more sociopathic than psychopathic.
This thought unnerved Nara a bit and she gulped but they assured her that they were deadly to those who crossed them or to their targets but to everyone else they were all bark and no bite.
They spent the rest of the hour in silence, the three of them dozing off while a muted melodrama played on the tv in the background. Nara was finally feeling the exhaustion threatening to take her when,
“A WHOLE NEW WOOOOOORLD. A DAZZLING PLACE I NEVER KNEEEEEW!”
Nara sat straight up on the couch fumbling with her phone and dropping it on the floor.
“BUT WHEN I’M WAY UP HERE, IT’S CRYSTAL CLEAR”
She looked at Hyunwoo and Hoseok, neither seemed alarmed by the obviously tone deaf dying animal that had broken into their home.
“What in the ever loving fuck is that?”
“Ahhh you mean the sound like someone strangling a cat?”
“Obviously”, Nara nodded at Hyunwoo.
“That would be the incomparable Im Changkyun”, he said with a fancy flourish of his wrist for emphasis before returning his attention back to his phone.
“Wait, what? You’re telling me that the little psycho you just told me about, the one who could kill you in 50 ways in 2 seconds, Changkyun likes Disney movies?”
“OH MY GOD HE’S A REALLY BAD BOY, HE’S A REALLY BAD BOY!”
Hyunwoo nodded, still unphased by the screeching coming from the shower where Changkyun was supposedly “singing”, if you could call it that.
“Mhm, big fan of Red Velvet too. Even knows the dances.”
“That song is gonna be stuck in my head for a week.” Hoseok added from his spot beside Nara.
Nara picked up her phone and sat back, laughing as Changkyun broke out into a terrible rendition Rainism.
“I’M GONNA BE A BAD BOY, I’M GONNA BE A BAD BOY, I’M GONNA BE A BAD BAD BOY!”
She hoped he didn’t slip in the shower and break something trying to do the choreography. “These boys were going to be the death of me”, she thought.
Head reeling from all the information and Changkyun’s singing, she bid Shownu and Hoseok goodnight and retired to her room where she fell asleep almost as soon as her head met pillow.

“Fuck!” You mumble to yourself as one of four pots on the stove begin to boil over in front of you. You rush to turn the heat down in order to stop the water from spilling out and onto the floor.
You’ve already made a mess of the kitchen… Run-away vegetables scattered across the counters, sauces splattered on the tiled floor and kitchen mats…
Jin is going to kill you when he sees the state of his kitchen but you don’t really have time to worry about it. You have very crucial task at hand: Cook dinner for seven very hungry men.
You lift your arm up and use the sleeve of the oversized hoodie you’re wearing, that previously belonged to Jimin, to wipe the sweat off your forehead.
‘Do people normally sweat this much when they cook?’ You sigh heavily before picking up the large knife, which you’re sure is not meant for chopping veggies, off the counter.
You begin cutting up the remainder of carrots you have laying on a wooden cutting board.
When you’re done, you stand there for a few minutes and stare at the orange vegetable in disbelief... “This doesn’t look right.” You say out loud as you drop the knife and grab your iPad that was propped up against a container of sugar.
You are trying to follow a recipe that your Mother so kindly sent to you via email. She was so thorough that she even included pictures of what the food was supposed to look like before, during and after.
Though you were a bit thrown off by the length of the email, you weren’t in the least bit surprised… You expected nothing less from your Mom, as she is the head chef and partial owner (alongside your Father) of a well-known restaurant back in your hometown…  Her line of work kind of requires her to be thorough.
The carrots in the picture your mom emailed you, look nothing like the carrots you just finished cutting.
Your carrots are cut into weird shapes. Some too big, others too small. Some are not peeled correctly, others are peeled so thinly that you could almost see-through them, where as your Mother’s carrots were cut to perfection.
All the same circular shape and about the same thickness.
‘How did I manage to fuck up cutting carrots?’ You think. You were embarrassed with yourself.
If only Jin were in here to see you now. He’d probably laugh loudly in your face then try to repair the damage you’ve made but luckily for you, you were successful in forcing Jin and the rest of the guys into the confinement’s of Taehyung’s room.
Tae’s room was the largest in the dorm and could fit all seven members comfortably.
It was also the furthest away from the kitchen which meant that you were able to work in peace without any of them prying over your shoulder or so you thought.
Jin came in twice and Yoongi, once to check on you and see if you needed help… You rejected them both, determined to finish cooking all your own.
A whole hour has passed now and you are regretting your decision to turn their help away but you have too much pride to ask for help now especially since you were the one who offered to cook in the first place…
You remember it like it was yesterday:
After a long day of work and practice, the eight of you piled into a van to head back to the dorm for the night. You spent the day playing BTS’ personal assistant as their usual assistant (who just so happen to be your older cousin) had called out because of a family emergency.
You were no stranger to being a P.A. for the boys as you were the one who took over when your cousin had gone on Maternity leave… Working for Big Hit was obviously how you met the idols (but thats a story for another time).
Although Big Hit Ent has a shit ton of staff members that could have filled in, your cousin had request that you be her back up if anything happened to where she couldn’t make it into work.
Big Hit had agreed to your cousin’s request, not only because she is a well respected senior member of BTS’ staff but also because you were exceptional at the job.
You handled the boys’ schedules and tasks with such care and attention to detailed that the company offered to hire you full time but when things started to get serious between yourself and the guys, you turned down the position, wanting to be with them more than wanting to make money from the company. Plus being a P.A. wasn’t what you wanted to do for the rest of your life… No matter how well it paid… It wasn’t your passion.
It was a rare occasion that you got a call from Big Hit to come into the office for the day but when you did, you jump at the opportunity because it was a way for you to spend more time with your boyfriends and it was a nice little break from working in the small, very noisy and sometimes smelly Vet’s office you usually worked in…
“Okay kids. Buckle up.” You say enthusiastically as up slip into the drivers seat and shut the door after you.
You felt bad that either Jin, Hoseok or Jungkook would’ve had to drive home after having a full day of practice… You saw how hard they worked and you knew that without a doubt, their bodies were sore and worn out from the day so you offered to push the whip back to their dorm in order to give them some time to rest.
Of course Jin was the only one to argue with you for five whole minutes about driving. He insisted that he wasn’t tired and maybe that was true but still… You didn’t want to hear it.
You dismissed him and stole the van keys right out of his hand. He knew he had lost the argument once the keys were in your possession.
Yoongi sat in the passengers side, while the others piled into the back. You finished strapping on your seat belt then went ahead to put the key in the ignition so you could start the van.
The ride home was relaxing.
Namjoon had fallen asleep fairly early on during the ride. He was sat beside Jin who scrolling through his phone in the very back seat.
Hoseok was sat in the middle seat, closest to the window. His head thrown back and his lips slightly parted as his chest rose and fell softly. He was out like a light, much like Namjoon was. Jimin and Taehyung were beside him, Jimin in the middle. The two younger boys conversed amongst themselves and Yoongi was sat beside you, curled into himself against the window, snoring quietly.
You were keeping your eyes focused on the road while the sounds of the men’ around you, kept you relaxed.
“I’m hungry.” Taehyung suddenly mentions. “Me too.” Jimin chimed in. “Do you guys want me to stop somewhere?” You asked, looking back at them through the rearview mirror. “Or Jin could make us something when we get back home?” Tae suggested, looking back at the older male with hopeful eyes.
They really enjoy Jin’s cooking. He doesn’t cook that often for them anymore since they’ve been so busy and he hasn’t had time to cook a full meal.
Long practices and busy schedules usually mean they have to either eat out or order in…
The boys long for a home cooked meal.
You take a minute to glance at Jin’s face through the mirror again… You can see how tired his eyes are and you suddenly felt a bit of guilt pushing against your chest. You know he’s exhausted and to have to go home and cook a meal for the eight of you, at this time of night? It’s a bit much.
“I can cook...” You offered. The words left your mouth before you really had time to process them in your head...
Jin, Jimin and Tae all snap their heads over to you.
When you don't hear any responses from them, you took a quick look up. You don't miss the way their faces twist in a mixture of amusement and confusion, before placing your eyes back on the road. “What?” You asked, genuinely puzzled by their facial expressions.
“You’ll cook?” Tae asked, just to make sure he heard you correctly. “Yeah…” Your voice is quiet and laced with uncertainty but it was too late for you to take back your words back. “Dinner? You’ll cook dinner?” It was Jimin’s voice you heard this time. “Yes.” You said sternly. “For us?” Jin questioned you again in disbelief. “Oh my god! Yes!” You semi-shout.
You felt a bit annoyed with them for asking you the same questions. You were just offering to cook dinner for them, not build them a boat… Why are they so pressed about it?
You look over at Yoongi to make sure you hadn’t woken him as he was the closest to you and when you saw that he hadn’t moved from his position, you continued.
“I’ll cook dinner. For you all. Tonight. Why are you guys being so weird about it?”
“Because you never offer to cook.” Tae reminded you.
“Thats not true! I always offer, Jin always says no.”
“That’s because you’re not good at cooking Princess.” Jin is blunt and it kind of throws you off guard but then you realize he does have a bit of a point. You’re not the best at cooking but you have the basics down and you can make a mean pot of ramen… That counts right?
“I know how to cook.” You tried defend yourself but even you know the words sound bland leaving your lips. “Baby, putting rice in the cooker and turning it on is not cooking.” Jimin told you in a matter of fact tone. A little gasps leaves your lips at his insult.
‘How dare he!’ You think to yourself.
You rolled your eyes when you heard Taehyung chuckling next to Jimin.
“Mr. Jimin…” You said warningly. “Don’t you start with me. You barely know how to boil water…” You clapped back at him. Taehyung is throwing his head back whilst holding his stomach. He is laughing so hard, his shoulders are visibly shaking. He loves with you and Jimin bicker with each other. It’s the funniest thing in the world to him.
“Out of the two of us, I am the better cook.” You said confidently.
“My bullshit senses are tingling.” Jimin joked and you scoffed at him.
“How about tomorrow tonight?” Jin suddenly suggests, causing both you and Jimin to cease your petty arguing.“Why not tonight? I really don’t mind.” You told them, shrugging your shoulders nonchalantly.
Now you were determined to prove a point to Jimin. You were the better cook. You have to be… Your mom is a chef for crying out loud, knowing how to cook should be in your DNA
“Well, we’ll have to stop at a grocery store, right? To get ingredients and it’s a bit late to start cooking now so how about we go home and order something then tomorrow you can cook for us? Sound good?” Jin asked you and you nod your head in agreement. “Tomorrow it is.” You said.
You were sure you’d be able to cook a perfectly good meal for your boyfriends. Cooking isn’t hard. You were knowledgeable about the basics and you’ve seen Jin cook plenty of times too.
’It’ll be fine.’ You think to yourself, boy were you wrong…
. * ✦     .      ⁺ .  * ⁺        ⁺
The rice cooker beeps loudly behind you. You turn away from the stove and walk over to the counter to shut the cooker off. You open the lid then take up the paddle spoon. You scoop up some of the rice and pop it in your mouth. It’s steaming hot and it almost burns your tongue but you chew with caution then swallow. You smile happily at the taste. “If all else fails, at least there’s rice.” You giggle to yourself as you think about how you should get those words printed on a t-shirt or something.. And you know Yoongi, Jin and Taehyung would agree with you because the four of you have been dubbed (by the rest of the boys), the official rice fairies since you all eat it some much.
“It smells good…” You’re startled by the sound of Jungkook’s voice. You whip your body around to see him lifting one of the pot covers.
Were you so impressed by your rice cooking skills that you didn’t notice him slide into the kitchen behind you. “Jungkook!” You slap his hand and he drops the pot lid, it falls perfectly back into place. “Get your ass out of here!” You say sternly. You put your hand on his shoulder and begin to push him away from the stove.
You’re strong but not as strong as him and your small hand is no match for his large shoulder. When you push him, he barely moves an inch.
“But I’m hungry~” Jungkook whines and you can’t fight the smile that forms on your lips at the cute way he drags his words.
“And Namjoon won’t let me eat any of my snacks… He says it’ll ruin my dinner.” Jungkook complains as he turns he’s body around to face you. His tall frame towers over your shorter one.
“Joon is right and I’m almost done Kookie.” You try to reassure him but the look on his face tells you that it isn’t working.
“How much longer?” He asks as he turns his body to finally face you.
“Twenty minutes.” You say, looking up at him adoringly.
“But you said twenty minutes, when Jin came in to check on you an hour ago.” He protests and you chuckle. “Kookie…” You call sweetly as you step closer to him. You wrap your arms around his waist and press your face to his chest. Maybe a little affection and sweet talk will do the trick… “I promise I’m almost done. If I’m not finished in twenty minutes, you have permission to eat all your snacks. Okay?” You look up at him to find that he is already staring down at you. When your eyes meet his, he quickly looks away in that cute way he does when he knows he’s been caught staring. You giggle and you can see a smirk forming on his lips as he tries to avoid eye contact. He wants to be upset with you because of how long you’re taking with dinner but he can’t…
“Do we have a deal?” You ask him, keeping your eyes on his sharp jawline.
When Jungkook realizes that you aren’t going to stop staring his glorious side profile, he looks down at you. “Fine. But please move faster. We’re all starving and I think Yoongi s going to bit off Jin’s head soon because he keeps talking.” Jungkook informs you and you nod. “Okay, okay. I’m going as fast as I can.” You tell him. You stand on your toes to peak his lips. “Now go.” You say whilst patting his butt a few times as a way to usher him out of the kitchen so you can get back to work.
Two hours pass and you’re finally done cooking. You can’t believe it’s taken you two whole hours to cook fiour dishes that you started all at the same time. It has never taken Jin this long to cook anything and that’s a dead giveaway that you’ve screwed something up…
After you finish setting the table, you call for the boys. They youngest members come tumbling into the dinning room with the older ones following closely behind. “Wow~” Jimin and Jungkook say in unison as they see the meals you’ve prepared for them… It looks and smells amazing but the taste is the most important thing and you aren’t sure you’ve done such a good job in that department… You’re almost positive you haven’t.
“Look! There’s rice!” Taehyung points excitedly at the huge bowl full of steaming hot white rice. “The seaweed soup looks so delicious.” Hoseok comments and you smile at his words. “Does it?” You ask eagerly. Hobi nods at you then walks over to kiss the top of your head, lovingly. “I’m sure it’ll taste great.” he assures you. “Wow, look at the pork belly.” Namjoon has hearts in his eyes as he sees the mountain of juicy pork belly sitting on a plate.
You are starting to feel a little bit more confident about your cooking since the reaction from your boys so far has been good but you have to keep in mind that they haven’t actually tasted anything yet.
You look over at Yoongi when you hear him chuckling from where he stands. Even though you have no idea what he’s laughing about, you smile at him. “Whats so funny?” You question. “We’re acting like we’ve never seen these kinds of foods before.” Yoongi explains and it causes the rest of the boys to laugh too. “It’s because we’re starving…” Namjoon says and you immediately feel guilty for taking so long to cook them a proper meal.
You know they must be starving. “Well, the wait is over. Eat!” You encourage them as you take the empty seat in between Jungkook and Hoseok.
The boys begin to fill their plates. You’re too nervous to eat, so you just sit there and watch, like a creep. “You’re not eating Angel?” Hoseok asks you as he scoops some rice into his plate. “You guys eat first.” You use your hands to urge him into adding more food to his plate.
Jungkook uses his chopsticks to grab a piece of pork then he pops it into his mouth. You smile as he hums contently while he chews. “How is it?” You ask him, expectingly. He’s silent for a little bit while he chews but after he swallows, he smiles and gives you two thumbs up. “Really?! Two thumbs?” You exclaim and Jungkook nods his head. He begins filling his plate with more meat. “Wow, not one but two thumbs up.” You say in amazement. Receiving two thumbs up from Jungkook is big accomplishment for you.
“Cooking pork belly is easy though.” Jimin says sourly in an attempt to tease you. You cut your eyes at him before sitting up straight in your seat, ready to give him a piece of your mind. “Listen here…” You start. “Don’t try to discredit me! Let me have this victory, okay!” You say sternly and he holds his hands up in defense, giving you a small smirk.
Park Jimin just loves to rile you up.
Hoseok goes for a piece of pork this time. He takes a few minutes to chew before his eyes widen like saucers. Your stomach drops, thinking he’s in shock because of how bad it taste but you’re wrong… “Delicious.” He tells you and now your the one with the widening eyes. “Seriously!?” You ask in disbelief and he nods. “Holy shit.” You mumble under your breath, as you sit back in your seat. You are stunned.
Two out of seven have given you praises on your food. You can’t believe it… You thought for sure, they would’ve banned you from the kitchen after tasting one bite.
You feel proud that you managed to cook something that the boys seem to be enjoying. You were sitting high on your horse at this point but little did you know… You were about to get kicked right off…
Whilst you are conversing with Hoseok and Namjoon, Jimin is scooping a hefty amount of seaweed soup into a bowl you provided for him. He is excited to eat it as he hasn’t had seaweed soup in a while. He was looking forward to it.
He dips his spoon into the hot liquid then puts it up to his mouth to cool it quickly before shoving the spoon in. The soup hits his tongue and he immediately cringes at the taste. He shakes his head whilst sticking his tongue out, trying to rid his taste buds of the bitterness.
Jimin is so distraught by the bad soup that he doesn’t notice the way Taehyung is staring at him with a concerned expression, having seen the way he reacted to your soup.
When Jimin finally gets over the taste, he turns his head to face Tae. He has warn the younger boy about the soup…
“What?” Tae mouths to Jimin, not wanting to bring attention to the two of them. “It’s bad.” Jimin mouths back immediately.
If anyone were looking at them from the outside, they would think the two were communicating telepathically.
“What’s bad?” Tae ask, his eyebrows crinkling in confusion.
“The soup.” Jimin points at the bowl with his spoon. “The soup is bad?” Tae mouths again, slightly shocked by the news he’s hearing.
In response, Jimin just takes his spoon and dips it into his bowl, gathering the broth. He then brings the spoon up to Tae’s mouth. Tae leans forward to taste the liquid… He lets the soup swish around in his mouth before swallowing… He frowns when he realizes that the soup, is indeed very bad. “Aw..” He says sadly, feeling extremely disappointed. He too was excited about getting to eat some seaweed soup but after tasting it, he doesn’t feel the same.
Jimin releases a chuckle at Tae’s reaction then covers his mouth quickly, hoping no one heard him. “Give some to Yoongi.” Jimin encourages Tae, wanting to see the older males reaction to the taste of your soup.
You’re conversation with Joon and Hobi comfortably subsides when you see Jin, who is sitting at the end of the table, takes a spoon full of the seaweed soup you’ve slaved over. He pushes the spoon into his mouth and lets the warm liquid wash over his taste buds… You’re staring intently at him, after all, his reaction will be the most precious for you as he’s the cook in the house… You don’t miss the way his adam’s apple bobs as he swallows slowly, his nose scrunches up and then he clears his throat.
This isn’t the reaction you were expecting…
You can hear Jimin who is sitting across from you, quietly dying of laughter and Tae who is beside him, trying to stifle his own laughter…
“Well?” You ask. He still hasn’t commented on the food but if his facial expression is anything to go by, you’re sure he’s disgusted by the taste.
“It’s awful, isn’t it?” You want Jin to confirm what you already know is true which is that soup taste horrible and you’re the worst cook ever. Your previous confidents has gone all the way out the window now. “It’s.. Uh—” Jin starts but stops as he racks his brain for the right words to say. He doesn’t want to hurt your feelings but he can’t deny that the soup taste a bit odd.
“It’s disgusting... You can say it.” You tell him as you pout, disappointed in yourself…
“No Princess… It’s just—” Jin begins again but is soon cut off by Yoongi’s voice. “It’s the worst seaweed soup Ive ever tasted…” He say bluntly and Jimin burst out into laughter. “It’s so bitter. There’s no flavor… It’s like you just boiled water for two hours then added the seaweed in last minute.” Yoongi’s savage confession causes you to freeze in your seat.
You sit there dumbfounded, your mouth slightly agape…
‘Is he really going to embarrass me like this in front of the rest of the guys?’ You internally ask yourself
Of course he is.
“I mean did you even add sesame oil and where’s the beef?” He continues. “C’mon Kitten. This isn’t it…” He says, almost as if he’s disappointed in you.
Jimin is laughing so hard that theres no sound coming out of his mouth. He is clutching his stomach in attempt to stop the cramping. Tae is trying to avoid eye contact in order to keep it together. He doesn’t want to laugh in your face like Jimin is doing but it’s hard not to when you are sitting there looking like a deer caught in head lights…
“Is it really bad?” Jungkook is curious. He picks up his spoon and scoops it into the pot of soup. When he feels he has enough on his spoon, he brings it to his mouth to taste.
He doesn’t react the way the other do. Instead, he slowly places the utensil down and turns to look at you. “Yeah~” He drags out his word. “I’m sorry baby but, it’s pretty bad.” He admits as he brings his hand up to pat your shoulder, feeling sorry for you.
Namjoon and Hoseok are the only ones holding it together but, you’re sure they won’t last much longer.
Your face is warmer than usual… You are embarrassed beyond belief and it doesn’t stop there.
“I mean… I wasn’t going to say anything but…” Namjoon speaks up and you snap your head over to his direction.
‘Not him too.’ You think.
“The rice cakes aren’t good either.” He adds. “You’ve got to be kidding me?” You’re flabbergasted. You knew that it wasn’t going to taste phenomenal but you didn’t think they would insult your cooking this badly. “Taste it.” Yoongi demands. He needs you to taste it so you can see that it’s the truth they’re telling you. Your soup sucks.
Yoongi scoops up some of the broth and leans across the table. He holds the spoon to your lips and you open your mouth for him to feed you.
The minute the liquid touches your tongue, you wince… Not only because it’s still hot but because it actually does taste horrible. “Oh my god.” You groan, wanting to take back the decision you’ve made to cook in the first place. “It’s so bitter.” You gag, sticking your tongue out dramatically, much like Jimin had done earlier. “So. Fucking. Bitter.” Yoongi nods his head. The room falls silent, expect for the quiet chuckling you hear every few seconds from across the table.
“This is so embarrassing.” You say more to yourself than to the men around you as you look down at your empty plate.
When you look up, all seven men have their eyes on you. The smirks on their faces are priceless… They are trying so hard not to hurt your feelings by laughing.
“It’s okay… You can laugh.” You give them permission and they don’t even spare you for another second as they all burst into laughter. Jimin is now laughing so hard that he can’t see because his eyes are blurred with tears.
“I can’t believe you spent two hours cooking just for it to taste this bad.” Jin says through chuckles… You don’t fight the smile that is starting to form on your face… As disappointed as you are, you can’t help but find it funny that you’ve failed so terribly.
Plus, it’s hard not to laugh when the boys are laughing so hysterically at you. Their laughs are infectious.
“Hey!” You shout over their loud mouths. “At least we have pork belly and rice.” You remind them. “That came out okay.” You utter quietly, the embarrassment creeping it’s way back into your system.
“Yeah!” Namjoon chimes in. “Cut Baby girl some slack! She tried.” He defends you and you smile gratefully at him. “Thank you Joonie.” You say sweetly and he winks at you.
“Okay, okay.” Jin says, trying to calm everyone else down.
“This wasn’t a complete fail and we appreciate your efforts Princess.” He commends you. “Thank you Jinnie.” You say contently.
“Of course Princess.”
“So… What are we going to do with all this soup and spicy rice cakes? Because I won’t be eating it.” You ball up your napkin and throw it at Jimin’s head after he speaks.
“Shut up.” You groan and he laughs teasingly. “Leave her alone.” Tae speaks, although he is still chuckling.
“I’m sorry okay but why did you offer to cook when you know you can’t?” Jimin raises questioning brow at you.
“I was just trying to do something nice…” You admit.
“And we appreciate it Angel.” Hoseok is sincere with his word. He grabs your hand under the table and gives it a little squeeze. The gesture makes you feel a little bit better.
You sigh and sit up straight in your seat, finally deciding to accept your defeat.
“Maybe I should just stick to rice and ramen…” You say out loud. “I like that idea!” The boys clap simultaneously. “Rice and ramen is a good.”  Jimin pips up and you giggle. “And pork belly too.” Jungkook adds. “The pork belly really is delicious.” He pops another piece into his mouth.
‘Glad I did something right.’
You gaze at the food on the table. You’ve only made four dishes but you’ve made a lot… Literally so much. You start to feel sick looking at it.
“Seriously… What to do with this big ass pot of soup?” You ask.
“Don’t you have someone at school you hate? A professor or something… Give it to them.” You burst into laughter at Jungkook’s suggestion.
“Thats not nice Kookie… Why would I purposefully bring someone food that taste bad?”
“But you can poison us just fine with this so called seaweed soup? You heartless woman.” Jimin jokes. You leap up out your seat and dash yourself around the table to attack him but he gets up before you can get to him. He runs towards his bedroom. “I’m going to kill you when I catch Park Jimin.” You yell as begin chasing him around the house.
You are too preoccupied with trying to beat up Jimin, that you don’t notice when Jin picks up your disaster of a soup and brings back over to the stove.
While he tries his best to save the meal you’d destroyed,  he thinks of maybe getting you some at-home cooking lesson for your birthday…

Sweet Baby
Pairing: Sam Winchester x black!fem!Reader
Warnings: flirtatious Sam
Author's Note: I love Sammy and his extreme boyishness in the beginning of the show, and absolutely had to write him in that fashion. I hope you enjoy :)

Masterlist  Black Girl Insert Series
* * * *
Walking into the department store, you release Sam's hand, "Okay. We have forty-five minutes. Whatever we get is what will be furnishing our apartment, and we are getting each other a housewarming gift, don't forget that. Ready?" Sam pulls you to him quickly, delivering a hard kiss before nodding, "Ready."
Setting your watch, you begin running before telling Sam it's time to start. You hear Sam laughing before you round the first corner and grab up the bed in a bag you know he will forget. Tossing the large bag into the back of your cart, you begin to grab up some more things to give yours and Sam's new apartment the tastefully lovable touch of a black woman.
Grabbing up a lamp and a few small potted plants, you decide to rush over to the men's clothes for a pajama set for Sam. His housewarming gift is going to be all things to pamper and treat himself with. You don't know too much about Sam's childhood, but you do know that there was a lot of traveling, a lot of tension, and not a lot of pampering.
As you're moving towards the shampoo, you just happen to look up from your watch and spot Sam running across the store with two 99 cent reusable bags in his hands and his head down to check his own watch. Chuckling to yourself you grab up the men's Slick n' Shiny shampoo you came for and go back to the furniture for some couch pillows and a desk you can assemble at home for studying.
Sam finishes his shopping in twenty minutes, his two cloth bags filled to capacity. He can't help his impatience as he waits by the customer service desk for you. Sam desperately wants to give you his gift and decorate your apartment together. Sighing, Sam pulls his phone from his pocket and calls you, "Hey!" He says as soon as you answer, "So, I know we said forty-five minutes, but I'm already done and really wanna see you now." Sam pouts into the phone, hoping his puppy dog demeanor can reel you in.
It doesn't.
Scoffing, you shake your head, though Sam has no way of knowing that, "Sammy, babe, we settled on forty-five. It's not my fault that you moved quickly and decided to leave yourself with twenty minutes left to wait in boredom. So, stop pouting and wait for me patiently."
You hang up before you can hear Sam groan, but you figure he does as much. Looking for ways to occupy his time after five minutes of small talk with the guy behind the counter, Sam sighs heavily, and points at the phone, "That go over the whole store?" The guy nods, waiting for Sam to ask what he knows he's going to.
Sam can see the anticipation of his question on the guys face and balls his own in apology, "Do you think you could page her for me?" When the guy nods with a bored sigh, Sam beams, "Great! I'll uh, I'll just write out what I want you to say, okay?" He says, taking a pen and a holding his hand out for a piece of paper.
You're pulling three different kinds of candles from the shelf when the p.a. goes off, a bored and monotone voice sounding throughout the store. "We need a missing girlfriend to come to the customer service desk. She has been described as having hair in tight coils, lips that could kill a man, and an - I can't say that word, this is a family store... Okay. And a tush that doesn't quit."
Shaking your head with a chuckle, you give a silent apology to the poor woman being paged. At least, it's funny until he continues, "She may answer to 'Boo Bear' or 'Sweet Baby'." That, is when you realize that the poor woman is in fact you.
Heaving a sigh of embarrassment, you push your cart up to the front of the store. As soon as Sam spots you in line, he smiles widely, "There's my boo bear." Sam approaches you to give you a kiss, but before he can get close enough, you point a finger at him, "Nuh uh. You can take your cute little messages, and wait for me in the car."
Sam knows you're upset, more embarrassed than anything, so with a chuckle, he rushes over and kisses your cheek before making his way outside. Everyone near the front of the store takes turns peeking from you to their carts or companions.
Part of you thinks that you should take longer and make him wait for you to finish, but the embarrassed part of you wants you to rush outside and scold Sam while withholding his housewarming present. The woman at the counter encourages the latter when she gives you a smile of conspiring, "That was so cute! Y'know, he stood there forever choosing which of your nicknames he'd use. Fair warning, I definitely put my thoughts out for boo bear."
She chuckles again, but you're too embarrassed to fake giggle with her. Grabbing up your bags, you wish her a good day and speed out of the store before anyone else can mention just how cute you and Sam are. With only five steps left before you're free, the jerk at the customer service desk pokes his head over the counter, "Have a nice night, sweet baby."
You can't help but to groan as you rush to your car. The only thing stopping you from going back there and flipping him off is the abundance of children that were in line. Sam's stuff all fit in the back seat, fortunately for him, so yours all goes in the trunk with you grumbling all the while.
When you finally slide into the driver's seat, Sam is smirking the way he does whenever he's completed a prank he's proud of. While proud, though, Sam isn't stupid, so he keeps quiet until you pull into the parking lot of your apartment and turn as best as you can towards him, "Why in the world did you do that? You embarrassed the hell out of me, Sam!"
Now Sam turns that boyish look of his towards you, "Embarrassed you? Who, me?" You don't want to smile at him, but you can't help it, he's so cute. "I should keep your gift to myself." Sam gives a small wrinkle of his nose at this, "You should, but you won't." When you shake your head, Sam knows he's forgiven and leans across the console towards you, "Come here, sweet baby." He says smoothly. Any other time, Sam muttering those words would leave you melting, but instead, you lean back in your seat, "Just so you know, that guy you told all of my nicknames to called me sweet baby on my way out of the store, so I hope you're ready to hear that every visit, cause you can trust I won't say anything now."
Laughing, Sam grabs the back of your neck and pulls you into a kiss.
*
All of your decorations are up and Sam huffs a laugh when he stands beside you and sees how much more than him you got, "I really like the gentle men's touch added." He says regarding his coasters, rustic coat hanger, and picture frame that holds a picture of the two from the day you met at Rajah's reception, the two of you are laughing and leaning against each other.
Rubbing Sam's back softly, you pass behind him to grab his present. Sam is happy when he sees you carrying a duffel bag with the tags still on it - he's big on duffel bags and the straps on his favorite one have both officially fallen off - and when he notices how the duffel bag isn't empty, the grin becomes a teasing smile, "Thank you so much for getting me just a duffel bag with our one gift limit we gave ourselves."
You know he's teasing, he's always teasing, so with a roll of your eyes, you drop the bag by the couch and wave him over, "I don't have all day, Winchester, get over here and sit down." As Sam pulls his gifts from the duffel, his smile gets more and more genuine. After Sam pulls out your final gift for him, a leather planner - he always talks about his dad's old worn journal, and you wanted to give him one of his own - he stands and wraps you in a tight hug, "Here, I put yours in our room."
Lo and behold, on your pillow is the lovely silk hair scarf you always mention needing along with various lotions and your favorite body wash. "I can't believe you fixed your lips to say something about me getting you more than one gift, Sam Winchester." You scold with a reluctant smile. Giving Sam a quick kiss, you go over to your goodies and smell them all.
"Where did you find my scarf? I haven't been able to find any good ones at that store." You ask Sam as you pick it up and fold it properly to put it on. Sam steps behind you and begins tying the scarf for you, remembering the way that you told him fit your current hairstyle best. While you can't see his boyish smile, you can tell he's wearing it by the tone of his voice, "While you were out last night, I ran across town to that store you like and grabbed it before you got back." As Sam finishes speaking, he also finishes the knot he's working on.
Turning to face Sam, you smile widely, "You extra cheated, Sam Winchester." He doesn't even trying to deny it, giving a shrug in response, "You're worth it."

Earth's friends: Grognak's invasion
Grognak's Invasion
Everything has lead us to this point here. The big green tentacle alien lead his army of clones to earth from Venus. After devastating the planet but not conquering, he was thirsty for blood. His large ships were the fiercest in the Universe. Their cannons capable of destroying the largest of buildings and the strongest of forts. It was time to reign supreme in the Milky Way Galaxy. Somehow the great Venusian warrior Venus Mercury managed to somehow talk Grognak into going to earth instead of conquering Venus, earth is approximately 3 light years away from Venus and Grognak's ships can travel that in about 12 earth hours.
Venus Mercury almost failed her people. Though she did manage to fend Grognak off and keep Venus safe for the fine being, she knew he'd be back eventually unless she destroyed him. Watching her people suffer was too hard for her to do nothing about earth's invasion. She looked at her companions, Clay, and Sheeta, they knew that the three of them were about to go to earth on a suicide mission. Venus' ship is the fastest in the universe. They hopped in her flying sphere and set off for earth, they will arrive in eight hours.
As they got closer to the blue and green planet she scanned the area for landing spots.
“Prepare for landing!” Sheeta said as the giant sphere came crashing down into the Mojave desert creating a rather large crater. They got out of their spacecraft in their shiny silver spacesuits the took steps into the sand. As they scanned the area Clay found something.
“It appears this planet's leader is located 2,583 miles in some place called ‘Manhattan’ if we leave now we can warn them with plenty of time before Grognak's inevitable arrival. They activated their spacesuit jetpacks and began flying to New York.
They flew faster than anything that has ever been seen on earth and because of this the F.A.A jumped onto their tails really fast.
“What should we do ma'am?” Her big green assistant asked.
“We've more important things to do than play with earth jets! Ignore them!” Venys commanded. They left the jets in their dust leaving the jet pilots confused and angered.
President Luciano was alerted of them and he assumed they were related to the resistance and Sandra's renegades.
“Dammit! Send out the robot drones to scout the area!” Vice President Jack Blade pushed a button he pulled out of his pocket which launched hundreds of tiny yet powerful drones.
When Venus and her cohorts arrived in Manhattan they scanned for the location to the Miracorps H.Q and walked on foot as their space suits changed to blend in to look like earth clothes.
The flying at super sonic speeds didn't just attract the attention of earths main government but it also caught the attention of Sandra and her renegades.
“Woah! What was that?” Blades said pointing at the sky but the aliens were gone with the blink of an eye. The entire group was stunned and luckily they were not far from Manhattan.
“Let's go there might be trouble!” Sandra said very concerned. What went through her mind was more about what Jack might have created to terrorize civilians more easily. They left and trekked as fast as they could.
When Sandra and her renegades arrived Venus and her friends were already at H.Q in what looked like a standoff with Jack and his team of villains to the left of her, NYPD to the right and President Luciano himself in front. Sandra and her renegades arrived next to Venus assuming she needed protection.
“Attention earth we request an attendance with the leader of this fine planet with an urgent announcement. “ She, Sheeta, and Clay put down their weapons.
Everyone lowered their weapons. The President, concerned, spoke aloud.
“What planet are you from exactly? I am Tony Luciano president of earth.”
“Mr. President we haven't much time an evil conqueror named Grognak is on his way as we speak to take over this planet and kill all earthlings. “ The president raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
“Please go on ms….”
“Mercury. Venus Mercury the great warrior princess of Venus.” She was recognized by one of his secret service members. They whispered in his ear.
“Sir, that is Jessica Stryder from our failed space program of about five years ago.”
“Didn't we abandon her?”
“Yes sir.”
“Ms. Mercury please tell us what we should do to prepare for this…”
“Grognak.”
“Right Grognak. (Call the paranormal force). Right this way please let's discuss further in my office. “ He forced a smile and let her into the massive building. Jack and Sandra looked at each other and both felt this was not the time to continue their rivalry.
It was the start of a normal school day at Stan Lee Elementary located in Queens. For Jackson, Chloe, Lacey, and Seeley they moved on into their classrooms before a melancholy announcement was heard over the p.a system.
“Attention faculty and students there is a major event going on at the Capitol building, Miracorps H.Q, please turn on your classroom projectors to watch the news. Chloe and Jackson's teacher did just that. The announcer was a young blond lady
“It appears just one hour ago there was a standoff between local and federal authorities and the terrorists known as Sandra's renegades. Witnesses are unsure why they were there but they also say there was an alien girl in the middle of it all asking for a conference with president Luciano Witnesses claim she has to warn him of a dangerous alien coming to conquer earth!” After hearing this news both Jackson and Chloe raised their hands and asked to use the bathroom. The teacher dismissed them and out in the hallway they met up with their younger siblings Lacey and Seeley and they transformed into the Siamese Ninja Heroes.
“Let's get ready for action!” Jackson yelled.
They transformed into the feline quad and teleported to where they needed to go. When they arrived they confused both Jack and Sandra.
“What the hell?” Jack yelled.
“We really need to address that teleportation after transformation thing don't we?” Skye laughed. Max scanned the feline children as did Garfield.
“It appears what we have before us are four mystical feline beings powered by the elements “ Max said giving his analysis.
“In English please! Reeze said smacking him in the back of the head.
“Four magic cats.” Max dubbed it down for him.
“First aliens now cats?” Reeze said scratching his head.
“Uh fear not citizens we are the Siamese Ninja Heroes and we are here to stop the evil aliens!” Fury said deepening his voice as he spoke.
“Did someone say aliens “ A voice from afar uttered. It was Vocatus and Adolwolf of the Paranormal Force! Jack recognized him right away and decided to go inside the building and meet up with president Luciano.
“I don't need this kind of trouble Jack Blade out!” Sandra on the other hand was a little more star struck. She had never met any of the Paranormal Force or even seen them in person. The Siamese Ninja Heroes didn't know who he was. Vocatus shot them with a beam that froze them in team.
“Are these the aliens?” Vocatus asked.
“They don't smell like aliens, sir!” Adolwolf replied sniffing them. “They smell like…children.”
“Who are you and why are you…dressed like that?” Vocatus asked as he unfrozen them.
“We're the Siamese Ninja Heroes!” Bibie blurted out.
“Run along kiddos , this is grown up work.” He turned to Sandra.
“I'm going to pretend I didn't see you as my orders are to arrest you on the spot.”
“Thanks Captain!” Sandra said as she and her cohorts fled the scene. The cats stayed.
“But we're here to help!” Fury exclaimed.
“This is no job for kids even if you are mystics.” They became annoyed but Fury was angered.
“Do you know why they call me Fury?”
“Fury don't!” Rosie said trying to hold Fury back but fire entered his eyes and a fireball in each hand.
“I'm not playing!” He said as he shoved Rosie to the side and marched toward Vocatus.
“Don't do this Fury! We don't attack other good guys!”
“Shut up Rosie!” He created a huge flamethrower around Vocatus and Adolwolf as the other Siamese Ninja Heroes ran for cover. Skye texted Super Steak for help and Rosie contacted Sheila.
Steak sat in his seventh grade classroom counting the minutes until lunch. Mrs. Tanglia taught algebra boldly but mostly she was BORING. Steak's belt vibrated and he became anxious and fidgety.
“Is there a problem Steak?”
“Yes may I please get some fresh air?”
“Yes, but please hurry back!” She was annoyed but recognized the new school policy which was to allow students to leave as necessary. He rushed out of the classroom and into a janitor’s closet he answered his beeperwear saw that it was Seeley/Skye, rolled his eyes, but transformed into Super Steak and flew to Miracorps H.Q.
Sheila's home ect class was going well she, of course, was queen of the classroom distributing work to all of her classmates. When she noticed the text from Chloe/Rosie she stopped what she was doing and forwarded the message to her secret team mates.
“Are you ok, Sheila? You look like you saw a ghost. “ Her teacher asked.
“Yes sorry I just got an important text, I need to leave and make a phone call.”
“Of course!” Sheila scurried out of the school into the courtyard where her friends meet her. Scott is in a bathing suit as he was in the middle of swim class. They look at him and laugh.
“What happened Scott?”
“I received your text during swim team!” They snickered a bit more and all transformed into their respective beast modes. Jamie into a bird.
“Come on guys let's go help our friends!” Jamie said flying away as the others ran to try and keep up.

Collecting crystals G/t Klance part 1
Keith wondered why he had followed lance at all in the first place this was a stupid idea. Without Coran, they knew nothing about this planet besides that last time they were on it lance got them all shrunk. Keith was a bit worried watching lance wander off. Waiting to follow him Keith didn’t even see lance disappear in a puff of gas behind him. Turning around Keith panicked, how could Lance have gotten far enough that he had lost visual. “Lance,” Keith groaned marching forward. Picking up a signal from lance Keith could only hear quiet static. “Lance where are you?” Keith asked rolling his eyes. “Down!” he heard lance yell right before his foot kicked a small object sending across the grass. Keith swallowed only knowing what crazy bit lance had told them. He didn’t hear lances communicator anymore. He panicked something telling him he had already found lance. Keith stepped slowly up to the smaller paladin he felt pain build in his chest as he realized he wasn’t moving. “Lance?” Keith asked getting a little static as he got closer. He forced himself to swallow past the painful lump as he turned over the small pile of blue armor. Lance sat up gripping his midsection a bit. “Nice kick you should try out for soccer or something.” Lance coughed.  A smile on his lips. “Are you okay?” Keith cringed picking up the small paladin without warning, Lance did his best to play his fear off, he had already almost been killed by Keith's boot. “I am still in one piece he cringed at the ache in his side. Keith realized he was more hurt then he would let Keith know. “Alright, we are getting you back to the atlas immediately.” Keith said cupping both hands around lance he was freaking out internally “Wat happened anyway I thought you knew what to stay away from.” Keith sad frowning a bit. “I was going to prank you actually.” Lance laughed rubbing his neck cheeks burning a bit. “What? Were you going to leave me here?” Keith felt a little betrayed and looked away from Lance. “What no Keith no way, I just wanted to see how you reacted then I was going to get you back to normal.” Lance said face a little warm, “I wanted to see if you trusted me..” Lance whispered the last part but Keith got the gist of it. “Well, I did tell you told me you were going to shrink me for fun.” “Oh come doesn’t tiny Keith sound adorabl-“ shit did he actually say that out loud. Keith was tongue-tied and embarrassed. “hopefully Coran can change you back and we can get over this quickly.” Lance didn’t respond not wanting to mess up further. He set in Keith's hands shifting uncomfortably his armor pressing against the pain in his chest he had received from Keith kick earlier. He wanted to play the pain off but he was in actual pain. “Maybe we should get to Coran now.” Lance said before passing out in Keith’s hand. Keith’s eyes went wide he ran back to red to who took off as soon as they both entered. Keith moved lance around gently in his hands trying to get him to stir. Nothing was working. Keith ran straight to Coran once back aboard the atlas. Coran smacked his own face and shook his head. “Lance he had his heart in the right place, but he should have asked first,” Coran groaned. “Whats the matter?”  Keith asked worried by Coran reaction. “The fauntonium is only produced during the planet's spring months which doesn’t start for another three weeks.” Setting lance on the exam table he scanned lance and determined he had a broken rib and two that were severely bruised. Keith felt awful and decided he didn’t want to be around lance when he was like this anymore. He slipped out of the room and when lance regained consciousness he was alone in the infirmary everything oversized and he realized how alone he was the room echoed and he frowned shivering a bit. He realized he was freezing and he had no way of getting down even if he needed to.  Lance began calling for Keith assuming he would be close since he brought him back.  No one came and lance felt a little dissed. He found a button Coran had left for him which evidently was hooked up to the p.a. “Keith to the med bay lance is in critical condition.” He announced trying to imitate Coran. Lance waited when Keith came vaulting through the door. Lance blushed when his eyes fell on him. “Lance dammit can you stop with the pranks?” Keith asked tears still forming. Lance felt a little bad now. “Sorry but you just left me and I’m freezing and I can’t get down.” Lance said desperate a bit. “I'll get someone to help you. “ Keith said turning to leave. “That’s why I called you already.” Lance said confused why Keith was acting weird now. “I think you would be better off with someone else Lance.” Keith said looking to the floor. “Why You’ve already helped me this far.” “But I broke your rib.” Keith said unable to make eye contact with Lance. “You didn’t mean to, did you?” Lance asked getting up feeling a little better since Coran gave him some meds for the pain. “Of course I didn’t, I didn’t even see you.” “Do you see me now?” “Yeah of course lance.” “Then promise not to take your eyes off me.” Lance said stepping to the edge of the table. Keith nodded picking him up gently and feeling how cold he was he got concerned. “Why are you so cold Lance?” “ I don’t know.” he shivered.  Coran walked back in “His temperature is due to his size he can't retain body heat. I was actually looking for something that might keep him warm but I think the best way to keep him from getting sick is body heat. Keith, you can’t leave him for more than 4 hours or he might slip into a comma. Coran warned and Keith swallowed holding lance in two hands trying to warm him on every side. “Now everyone else has been briefed on lances condition, but the more attention he gets the more I'm afraid mistakes will happen. I'm sure you both have realized this but lance is in a very vulnerable state one more accident and it might be his last. This size does not come with any abilities. Keith swallowed his hands shaking a bit. Lance shivered. “Okay, I really can’t do this.” Keith said handing lance to Coran and storming out. “Coran Did you really have to do that he doesn’t need to know I’m vulnerable, besides I can handle myself.” Lance said showing off his muscles. “Keith almost killed you once and that was more for you to understand you aren’t invincible lance, Keith I trust already knows that but you seem to cocky. I don’t want you scaring Keith.” Coran lectured caring lance back to Keith who had his hands deep in his pockets making no move to take lance back. “I’m not careful enough.” He grumbled Coran set lance on the table. “You have four hours.” He chimed walking out of the room. “Wait Coran.” But Coran was gone Keith looked at lance who was already shaking. “You cold?” Keith asked worried. “No I’m fine.” Lance said turning away from him “Just go, you have more important things to do deal with.” Lance said no longer looking at Keith. Keith shook his head reaching a hand around the small paladin and carrying him with him. Lance wanted to resist but his hands were so warm and he was already feeling himself get comfortable. “Keith I’m sorry I don’t think things through more often.” Lance said feeling pretty stupid and now useless. “I like how spontaneous you are.” Keith admitted and lance blushed. “was that a compliment Kogane?” “Don’t make me take it back.” Keith said blushing and now flustered.

Nenîth,
I'm not dead, and I haven't murdered anyone, I'll start off with that, though things weren't looking entirely certain there for a minute, on both counts.
I'll start with where my last letter left off, and try to keep from getting too angry all over again as I tell it.
We had our rest, and a good thing, too. And then as we all dragged ourselves back to our feet and considered what came next, Elyn and Cloudleaper got a little distracted with the robot, P.A., and messing about with it. We tried to get as much information as we could from it, about who we might be facing and what the situation might be beyond the door we'd barricaded, but there wasn't much more that it could tell us. It seems to have been designed with somewhat limited personal assistant functionality, and has only been able to help us as much as it already has because the smugglers muddled about in its programming.
I feel like this sounds like I'm disparaging the poor thing, and I think Elyn would strangle me if she ever got the sense that I did so. But it's been a dear, and it can't help what it's been programmed for. It's been as useful to us as it's able to be, and it made such sad noises whenever we asked it a question it couldn't answer, or asked it to do something it wasn't able. Elyn asked it why it was helping us, and I get the impression it decided it didn't like all the stealing its owners were doing, and, well. I suppose if you're going to muddle about in your robot's programming you should be prepared for it to decide it's going to use its expanded capabilities to take issue with your criminal enterprise, and do something about it.
In any case, we spent entirely too long talking with P.A., though we did learn that the second person we could expect waiting for us outside was designated Other Boss, and so we had a pretty good idea that we were going to be facing off with the halfling and the woman with the spider tattoos that Athan had told us about at the start. But then Cloudleaper started talking about searching the place for a storage drive, and-- Well, an hour to sit and catch my breath and stare at that warlock's face didn't really do much to make me less angry, and I was all too aware that giving ourselves an hour meant giving the two outside an hour as well, and that every extra minute we dallied could mean that they were further away, if they'd decided to run, or that much more prepared for us, if they were angling to fight, and either way I hardly thought that messing about with files and storage drives was our first priority. Cloudleaper, I gather, was worried about them deleting important files, but they'd had an hour to do that already. We had P.A., and we had the pictures that I'd taken with my LICD of the screens that had been up and running on the computers when we'd come into the room, and files are important in terms of evidence, I suppose, but wasn't it more important to find and stop these smugglers? What good were files on a storage drive going to be if these smugglers escaped and just resumed doing this somewhere else? If our investigation into them has proven anything, it's that they're slippery and they're very good at hiding and even when people know to look for them it's hard to figure out who they are. If we'd let them get away because we were fussing around searching for a storage drive, we would have solved nothing.
And what if we died because we'd allowed them to be so well prepared? What good would a storage drive be to anyone, then?
In any case, they both gave up the idea of a storage drive soon enough, and we moved aside the boxes that I'd used to barricade the door with and asked P.A. to alert us if any of the smugglers we'd tied up woke up, and then I ventured ahead with Squirt to try to scout out the area.
The hallway that our room was off of was mostly deserted, with crates scattered about that made fine cover as I moved up the hall, towards two doorways at the far end. I listened at both, and heard some quiet sounds from one, and nothing but silence from the other, so eased open the door to the quiet room and checked inside, just to make sure that it was empty and we weren't setting ourselves up to be ambushed from behind.
I nearly got a dart to the head for my trouble, which was embarrassing. If I'd been a little less hasty, maybe it would have occurred to me to check to see if the door was trapped before I opened it, but I was still angry, and still feeling the pressure of all the time we'd -- well, not wasted, it wasn't wasted, but all the same the knowledge of how long we'd given them to be ready for us made me hastier than I should have been.
That room proved to be another computer room, similar to the first. I only stayed long enough to make sure it was empty, and then I moved back into the hallway, and on to the last room. I used my LICD to write out a message to Elyn and Cloudleaper, so whoever was on the other side of the door wouldn't hear us whispering and scheming, and said that we should burst through the door and try to take whoever was on the other side of it by surprise. They nodded their agreement, and so we all got ready and I threw open the door and darted inside, my bow readied for whatever we might find inside.
What we found turned out to be the halfling man inside, his hair brown now rather than green, which explains a lot of our difficulty in finding anyone who'd seen him about the station. And he was smirking and snarking at us and not surprised at all, and honestly I am just so tired of smug assholes.
And then his companion attacked Cloudleaper from behind, and it's only good luck that she missed with her first swing, and there seemed little point in talking any further.
It would've been a fine plan if we hadn't ended up with someone behind us, but as it was it meant that we were bottlenecked, me and Squirt just inside the door facing the halfling man, Elyn caught behind us, Cloudleaper on the other side of her just outside the door, and the woman engaged with her, all of us grouped together and with little enough room to move about or try to find a better position to fight from. And the halfling man was quick -- you know I'm light on my feet, but even so it seemed every time I moved to strike him he was already gone, and my blade caught nothing but air. Poor Squirt tried to help me, too, and even he couldn't really land a good bite on him.
The woman turned out to be a monk, too, and one like Pika, who can jump from shadow to shadow, which is horrible to be on the wrong end of. Cloudleaper and Elyn kept her occupied while Squirt and I mostly failed to try to hit the barbarian. The first blow he landed on me with his great axe cut deep, and so once Cloudleaper and Elyn had managed to maneuver themselves out of the doorway, I traded my sword for my bow and retreated, hoping that I could run fast enough that I'd be able to get a shot or two off before he caught up to me.
Elyn ended up more in the thick of things than she usually tries to be, and and took more hits than any of us liked to see land on her, but eventually between her and Cloudleaper they managed to hurt the monk enough to send her on the run, vanishing from the shadows, and that was none too comforting but we still had the barbarian to contend with, so we turned our attention to him.
He was brutal, and Elyn is so fucking stubborn, throwing out attack spells even as she got more and more injured, until finally a blow knocked her off her feet and she didn't get back up, so that instead of shooting the barbarian again I had to pull out my wand of healing and pour nearly all of its power into her.
That might have been a mistake, because the barbarian just struck her down again on his next swing, and I was left with little I could do but try to do the same to him, as quickly as I could. There was a little bit of power left in the wand, but hardly anything, and when Elyn identified it when we first acquired it, she'd said that there was a chance it could break and quit working entirely if we ever depleted it entirely, and, well -- if Elyn's going to keep attacking when she ought to heal, we really can't take that chance.
The barbarian remained a smug asshole, snarking something about how he hoped it ate at us to know that he could've killed Elyn while she lay at his feet but didn't, and I was made enough and desperate enough that I snarked right back at him about how yeah, I was all torn up inside over it. But it was, I think, the parting blow of a man who knew he was going to be defeated, because it wasn't long after that before one of my arrows caught him in the leg and took him down.
I ran over to Elyn and poured a healing potion down her throat, while Cloudleaper ran off to the computer room, and Squirt bounded off after her. Once I got Elyn back onto her feet, we followed after them just in time to see Cloudleaper knocking the other monk down from where she'd been typing something on the computer, and while I made sure that the monk was down and was going to stay that way, Cloudleaper and Elyn looked to the computer and realized that she'd been deleting files from the computer, and they managed to at least stop the process from the file that was currently being deleted, though they don't know how much might have already been lost, or whether it's recoverable.
I commented that surely Adeng Kusuyo and the other law enforcement agents on the station would have some resources they could bring to bear, to try to recover the lost files, and Elyn suggested I make my way back out through the station's walls to where we'd entered, to call Agent Kusuyo and lead her team back to everyone. I hated the idea of leaving when everything in me wanted to shake that warlock awake and start asking him a hundred thousand questions, but she had the right of it. I was more likely to be able to find my way out and back again than either of them, so I settled for telling her to make sure she asked him how he knew to recognize a hound of the Fey queen, if he woke up before I was back, and then I took Squirt with me and made my way back out through the walls to the alley with its displaced paneling, and I sat and called up Kusuyo on my LICD and told her we'd found the smugglers and could she please come and take them off our hands. She seemed... well, I think I'd say alarmed, more than anything, but agreed to send a team out to me as quickly as possible, and then I called her back because I'd forgotten to make sure she knew to bring techy people who could maybe undelete computer files, and she assured me she would, and then I just sat there leaning in hard against Squirt and waiting for her, and trying not to wish I was back with Elyn and Cloudleaper and the smugglers.
It took her perhaps an hour to get to me, which at least was time enough to catch my breath from the fighting and feel a little less winded, and a little less wild. I led them all back through the walls once more, and back to Cloudleaper and Elyn, who was using P.A. to play some sort of game, which seemed an interesting choice to me considering she had an hour or more with the smugglers as well as their computers at her disposal. But in any case, there was little for us to do once Kusuyo and her officers were there, bustling about the place and taking charge, which I was honestly glad to hand over, though when I suggested that she ask the warlock how he knew a Fey hound on sight, she gave me the strangest look, and then said that she hadn't realized that our investigation into the smugglers was a personal one, and I told her that it hadn't been personal until he'd threatened to sell my dog.
On that note, at some point in all of this Elyn pulled me aside and said that she had seen the warlock's eyes turn pink when he'd cast one of his spells, and that she wondered if perhaps he didn't recognize Squirt was a blink dog because he had a fey patron, which. Well, it makes a great deal of sense and also just raises about a hundred more questions. She also told me, later, when we were back at the Curved Spirit Arms, that she didn't think he'd threatened to sell Squirt at all, that she'd gotten the impression that he'd thought I'd stolen Squirt or otherwise come by him illicitly and that he was threatening to return Squirt to the Queen of Air and Darkness to curry her favor. Which, well. Wouldn't that be a laugh, when he tried to present Squirt to her as a stolen hound returned, only to be told that he was the thief in the first place.
I mean, the only way he'd have Squirt to be able to return him to her was if I was dead, so I guess it wouldn't be funny in the end. But still.
Anyway, I've spent all evening, since we left Kusuyo and the rest of the station officers to finish dealing with the mess, trying hard to remember exactly what he'd said, if Elyn's right or if I am, but I just can't do it. He threatened Squirt -- either way, it was a threat -- and all I could hear was the rush of blood in my ears and a horrible scream of fear and desperation echoing through my skull, because Squirt was there in front of him and if anything happened to him, anything, I wouldn't have been responsible for my actions. All I remember is that terror and franticness and the certainty that I had to take the warlock down and I had to do it fast, before he did something terrible to Squirt.
I don't know. It's been hours now and I'm still so angry when I think about it that my hands are shaking as I type this to you. But Kusuyo said that maybe we could have an opportunity to speak with the smugglers while they're being questioned, or to give them a list of our own questions that they'll ask on our behalf, and I've been working with Elyn to try to come up with some in advance because I know if I try to do it while I'm facing him, any thoughts I had on the matter are going to be lost beneath that howl of fury and fear.
I feel so helpless, which is a strange thing to say when I've just figured out how to make my bow shoot lightning (I still haven't told you about that. I promise I will, when my thoughts aren't in a whirl and my hands aren't trembling), but there it is. I don't know that Kusuyo will let me talk to him directly -- and Elyn seems to think I shouldn't, even if I'm given the opportunity -- and what if she doesn't ask in the right way, or push in the right places? What if she doesn't know enough about the fey and the Feywild and the Queen of Air and Darkness to get at the information I need? What if I do talk to him, and I ruin it all because I'm too angry to think straight? What if this man's patron is someone the Queen is close to, and she takes issue with our fight against him? What if he isn't, but word gets back to her about Squirt anyway, and she realizes that I was right after all, and he's not a runt, and he's so strong and so brave, and she decides she wants him for her own again?
I can't give him back to her, nenîth. I can't. I don't think he'd want to go, and I won't make him. You know maybe better than anyone that I'd fight to the death for him, against anyone, but oh gods, I don't want to pick a fight with the Queen of Air and Darkness. All of this just makes me want to pick him up and go tearing off with him as fast and as far as the nearest transport can take me, somewhere beyond the limits of even her reach.
I should sleep. It's late, and it's been such a long day, and I don't suppose either of those are helping with how unsteady my hands are. But I didn't want to wait to write you, and have you worry. I'll write you more tomorrow, when we've had a chance to talk to these smugglers, or have them talked to on our behalf. And in the meantime, if you know anything about the situation in the Feywild that might be relevant, or if you can think of any questions that I ought to be sure I have Kusuyo ask, please do let me know. I don't know what's going on, but I'm so worried I'm going to fuck it all up.
I love you. I'm sorry for worrying you.
Love,
Maliah

Tumblr media
Moving from Devenford prep to Beacon hills was hard; mainly because of a certain someone but it wasn’t anything serious, so I knew I had to get over it.  I had moved before all these hunters started coming and before all this mess.  I wasn’t a supernatural creature; I am just human Y/n, who got into all this supernatural stuff not too long ago. I guess befriending the McCall pack has its positives and negatives but honestly this has gave me the best friends I could ever ask for. Right now we’re sitting in a pack meeting discussing the recent finding of the shot hellhound. “It’s a new hunter in town killing supernatural creatures, it’ll only be a matter of seconds until we’re found and killed, and by we’re I mean you since I’m human” I say freaking out, they killed a hellhound, this hunter isn’t messing around. “But they are new to hunting, so that may give us an edge on them”.   Scott states trying to be positive, even in this situation. “Amarture or not, this hunter killed the unkillable” Lydia says, everyone thinking of what to do. “We may need to call for backup, and I know exactly who to call”
“No, not him!” I exclaim once hearing who the certain backup call is.  “What do you mean not him? Do you even know who he is?” Stiles asks, everyone probably wondering the same. “You’re talking about Brett, Brett Talbot? The jerk of the century? Well if you are then yes, I know who he is” I roll my eyes; I cannot believe that I’m going to be seeing this jackass again. I moved to Beacon Hills because of my parents and got hung up in all this supernatural chaos, the last thing I’d ever expect is to find out the guy I’ve been hooking up with back at Devenford is a werewolf. “Well of course she knows Brett, she moved from Devenford” Liam pipes up. Of course I knew Liam from our previous school, but we never really talked or hung out with the same group so we didn’t know each other well, until now. “It’s settled, I’m going to call Satomi tomorrow morning to see if they have any more information on these hunters” Scott states as everyone stands up ready to leave. I sigh standing up as well, we do need some back up and Intel on these hunters if we don’t want to die, I just hope that this is over quickly and Brett can go back to Devenford where I will never see him again.
Oh the dreadful walk down the hallway on a Monday morning, I didn’t get much sleep last night because I knew people were learning more and more about the supernatural each day. This fear is going to get worse and next thing we know and don’t need is everyone turning on us which is already starting to happen. I stop at my locker looking around seeing Liam and Mason walk down the hall as people huddle, whisper and stare.  This is so not good, I quickly grab my books, closing my locker and hastily walking to the pair of best friends. “This is so not good” I state quietly once I reach them. “You don’t think we know that?” Liam harshly says, all of us keeping quiet since most eyes are on us. “We need to think of something like asap” Mason says while we stop at his locker. “Is Satomi’s pack coming?” Mason asks while getting his books. ”Pretty sure, Scott called them this morning and I think they’ll be here tomorrow at the latest” Liam answers, his eyes darting around. Another problem to add to my list great, I’ll be seeing the infamous face of Brett Talbot tomorrow. “Don’t look now but Nolan and Gabe are coming over” I say as I casually peak over Liam’s shoulder seeing the two males striding over with smirks on their faces.  As I finish my sentence Liam and Mason, not so subtly looks turn around to look, making me mentally face palm. They quickly whip back around, Liam with a scared and helpless look. “Idiots, I said not to look; now we surely don’t look suspicious at all… Hey guys! What’s up?” I exclaim as they stood right behind my two friends. “Hey Y/n, Mason… Liam. We need to have a little friendly chat with your buddy Liam” Gabe says. Have a ‘little friendly chat’ my ass, more like we want to kill your buddy Liam and everyone else you’re friends with. “Oh well he can’t, we do have places to be, classes to attend” Mason smiles trying to steer us away but they just move with us and block the path. “Uh… First period starts in about half an hour” Nolan says after checking the time on his phone. We are so screwed, also if you were wondering why we’re at school so early, it’s because we wanted to come up with a plan of what we are going to do today and how to avoid situations like this. An Idea popped into my head, and I guess it would have to do since we don’t have any other plans. “Li, stall them as long as you can okay?” I say barely audibly but I know the only person who can hear it is Liam, to others it looked like I was just mumbling. “What was that Y/L/N?” Gabe asks with that smug smirk never leaving his face, oh how I wanted to punch these two. “I just remembered I actually need to go to the office, Ms Martin had something to tell me.” I lie and smile. “What are you doing? Do not leave” I hear Liam say as he moved closer to me.  “I’ll see you later guys!” I shout as I walked the hallway again. “Trust me, I got this. Just stall” I whisper once my back was to them and a few feet away.  I speed walk until I’m in front to the principle office doors, I knock a few times and without waiting for an answer I burst in the room startling Ms Martin. “Can you please put an announcement on for Liam and Mason, just say they’re needed at the office” I ask quickly. “What? Why?” She asks confusedly. “Please it need to be quick, it’s some life or death supernatural issue” I say, I might of over exaggerated the problem but oh well because it might just become life or death if this continues. Ms Martin looks at me then starts walking over to the P.A system, I smile as this may just work. “Mason Hewitt and Liam Dunbar please report to the office” She announces, I can imagine the confused looks on all of the boys faces. Within seconds Liam and Mason come tumbling through the door, Liam slamming it shut once they were both in. “You guys good?” I asked, swinging my legs as I sit on the edge of the desk. “Yeah” Mason breathed out, breathing heavily. Guess they ran all the way here, or most likely Liam dragged Mason.  “So, can someone explain to me what’s happening here? Let me guess it’s one of your supernatural things again” She sighed already knowing the answer from the silence. “What is with this school and the supernat-“Ms Martin started but got cut off by a knock on the door. “Come in!” She shouts to whoever was on the other side of the door as the three of us look at each other confused to who it is. When the door opened I did not want to see the face behind it. Liam and I saw who it was before Mason and we bot turned around, my back towards the door while Liam stood side on, we both trying to cover our face as much as possible. “Hello, I’m Brett Talbot. New transfer here” Brett says probably smiling. “Fuck, this is bad. What do we do?” I ask panicking and speaking faster than usual. “How the fuck am I supposed to know” Liam responded with a slightly angry tone. “Y/n? Liam? What are you guys doing? Come introduce yourself” Ms Martin said as both of our faces scrunch up in annoyance. We slowly turn around, obviously not wanting too, I give Ms Martin a sweet smile but still not saying anything as we stood in an awkward silence for a minute. “Sorry about these two, they can be very… weird at times” She says breaking the silence and also glaring at us. “Well are you not going to introduce yourself to our newest student then?” She continues in a bitter tone. “Oh don’t you worry, I’ve already ‘introduced’ myself to Brett many times” I say sassily and stride out the door into the empty hallways of Beacon Hills high school.
Now I’m sitting at the McCall dining table with the pack discussing the new hunters, subtly glaring at the cocky werewolf in front of me with the name of Brett Talbot. “We need to stop them before anything else happens, they already killed a hellhound, who knows we might be next” Brett states from across the table. Why did we even need his help, I roll my eyes. Honestly as much as I care for my health and life this pack lunch was killing me. “I wish you were next” I mumbled under my breath, which doesn’t work with a bunch of friends who have heightened senses which include hearing. Most of the pack (the ones who could hear) snapped their head towards me, turning everyone’s head to me. “You didn’t say that last year, did you princess” Brett says, turning the question into more of a statement.  “Were you always such a dick or is this new?” I ask innocently, disregarding his last statement.  “You should know the answer better than anyone else here baby girl” He says smirking at me, oh how I wanted to slap him in the face. I give him a sickly fake smile and leaned back in my seat, not wanting to be here any longer. “Anyways…” I hear Brett continue as I drowned out most of the noise staring out to space. I snap out of my little daydream as I feel some one burning holes in the side of my head, I look over to see Lydia staring at me with a slight confused face not even responding after I raise a brow at her. Her gaze switches to the werewolf in front of me looking at him with the same expression.  I skipped half my school day for this and I don’t know which would be worse.
After the little meeting, everyone got up to leave but I get pulled back a bit by someone. “Hey Lyds, what’s up?” I ask as she glances up at me. “You are coming over to mine later tonight” She says. “And why do I need to come over?” I ask confused. “Because you can tell me all about what’s happening with you and Brett, come over at 6? Alright bye!” she says leaving me standing without any choice. I make my way out of the McCall house to see everyone’s vehicles gone, but as I start walking towards the paving I see a figure leaning on the tree right in front of the house. “To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you again Talbot I say stopping in front of him. “Always so mannered aren’t you” He replies, kicking off the tree and beginning to walk gesturing me to walk with him, which I do since it’s the path home. “How’ve you been?” He asks, changing the whole sassy and snarky atmosphere to an awkward one. “Good, it’s been a weird change but good. How ‘bout you?” I answer as we continue to walk. “As always stressed on lacrosse you know being captain and all” he boasts as I smile knowing he didn’t actually mean all these egotistical things he says. “But honestly it’s been weird trying to get use to you not being there” Brett says, I give him a tight lipped smile nodding my head in agreeance as it was weird without him for the first couple of weeks. Deep down I knew that I wanted to see him again even if I did cover it up, and a part of me not actually wanting to see him. I knew that I wouldn’t hate the fact he was here, maybe disliked at times but not hate.  “Well this is me” I say looking at the home I currently live in, before looking back at Brett. We stare at each other for a while until Brett suddenly brings me into a tight hug which I return immediately. As we stood on the pacing in front of my house hugging, I can’t help but remember my last few memories I had of him before this.
*Flashback*
“I have to leave, dads transferring. I can’t stay, you know I can’t” I say, my eyes starting to water.  We were currently lying on his bed with minimal clothing, my head lying on his chest. We weren’t a couple even if I wanted to be but we’ve been having this “Fling” thing for a while now and I guess this is the day it ends. It all started at a party which lead on to us being here. “You know I’m going to miss you princess” He says whilst playing with my hair. I smile at the nickname. “You’ll find another girl or guy in no time” I sigh as my eyes drooped slowly closing out of exhaustion. “I don’t think I’ll ever find anyone like you again” Brett whispers to himself, pulling me closer as he also closes his eyes.“Be good okay?” I say as Brett and I were hugging, holding on to each other never wanting to let go. “I’ll see you in the future okay baby girl?” he asks pressing a kiss to my forehead, before pulling me close again. As much as I wanted to believe it I couldn’t, we weren’t even a thing or haven’t even confessed feeling yet, though it seems obvious to us that we like each other. I nod my head as I bury it in his chest. “Y/n, we need to go now!” I hear my mum shout from the car. I slowly move away placing one last kiss on the corner of his mouth before walking away. “Don’t you dare forget me Brett Talbot” I say over my shoulder, giving him one more smile before continuing to walk to the car. “I would never forget you Y/n Y/l!” she shouts out to me while I got into the car. I give him blow him a kiss from the rolled down window which I see him pretend to catch before the car started driving away from my first love.
*End of flash back*
I pull away first, placing a light kiss on his cheek. “I’ll see you soon?” he asks smiling. Oh how I missed this type of Brett, I nod my head before walking up to my house ad heading in giving him a smile before closing the door.
“You guys need to get together quickly before the sexual tension swallows all of us, before the hunters can get us” Malia says popping some popcorn into her mouth right after talking. Currently Lydia, Malia and I are in her room, Lyds and I sat on the bed as Malia is sitting on the chair near the desk eating out from a bowl of popcorn placed on her lap. I groan at Malia’s comment, I then lay back staring at the ceiling. “She’s only stating the truth, you two seriously need to get together” Lydia says. I’ve already told them the whole story about Brett and I when I was back at Devenford and what happened after the pack meet up today. “Me and him together?  That’s the funniest joke I’ve ever heard” I say as I sarcastically laugh after.  “It’s never going to happen, it’s been what a year and we’ve only started talking again. He probably doesn’t even like me anymore” I say sighing. “Oh c’mon that’s bullshit and you know it” Malia says twirling around with the chair. “You like him, he likes you. What’s the problem?” Lydia asks looking at me.  “He obviously still likes you from what happened today so just go get him” She continues.  “Alright ill see, if I see him tomorrow I may tell him how I feel” I say staring at the white ceiling above me, thinking of all the possibilities that could happen. “Yes! We are the best matchmakers ever” Malia exclaims as she jumps off the chair to high five Lydia.
Obviously I did see Brett at school since he’s new here, but I tried to avoid him as much as I can which is easy as all of the girls were swooning.  But as lunch came round ad I didn’t skip it like yesterday, he came up to me as I spoke to Mason. “Hey um Y/n can I talk to you… in private?” He asks shyly, which I could see Mason looking at him in confusion as he’s never seen Brett like this before.  “Yeah, sure” I reply standing up and giving Mason a smile and wave as I walk off with Brett. We walked over to a secluded patch of grass with a tree, standing in front of it. “You know I actually wanted to talk to you about something also” I say remembering last night with the girls. “Well let me start okay?” he politely asks, I nod my head as this gives me a chance to think about what I’ll say to him. “Well, being with you again has brought back so many memories, good memories and I just wanted to say… Ilikeyouello” Brett says, saying the last few words so fast it was hard to understand but I did hear it. “You like youello? You like yellow?” I ask confused but also wanting to burst out laughing. “No, no I- I meant or I said I like you a lot. Not yellow” he says laughing at the end causing me to laugh with him. “You know I’m bad with feeling and all, don’t judge me princess” He says after he had stopped laughing now watching me giggle as I try to stop.  I wrap my arms around his neck stepping closer to him as I finally stopped laughing. I lean in closer to him our lips brushing against each other’s. “I missed this, baby girl” he whispers before closing the small gap. His lips felt so good against mine, it felt better than how we kissed before because I now know that this isn’t a fling anymore. He pulled away as we caught our breath, leaning our foreheads together. “I like yellow too” I giggled. “Oh shut up” Brett says pulling me closer and pressing his lips on mine once again.
I hustled to get this out on my b-day {2/10} which I’m glad i did so enjoy my gift (i dont know how that works) to you :)

Darkness looms CH9 P.A
Lana handed the detective a flash memory, he inserted it into his computer, it contained a video and some screenshots, she pointed at the video
“It was taken yesterday in Chicago public schools! Your witness was fighting! Play it”
The video started with Hai’s having her hair pulled! Chase started shaking his head in terror, and only stopped when she broke free, he then leaned forward towards the screen when she walked towards one of the boys, slapping his phone away from his grasp, it tumbled on the ground! And when the boy tried to pick it up, Hai stomped his hand. Chase smiled with a subtle nod upon watching this.
‘You can't just take photos or videos of people without their consent! Ugh teens these days know no manners!’
He snickered, but soon, his eyes widened in terror as the other girl came from behind Hai, raising a chair, he shut his eyes! But opened them just in time when Hai dodged another strike and landed the last blow!
Lana, who’s been watching Chase’s reactions raised an eyebrow, for someone who examines gruesome crime scenes, he’s being too emotional!
“You’re biased” she told him
“Of course I am!” He shamelessly admitted “That girl saw a dead body in her weekend, is probably being threatened, and she’s going through a hard time, she needs a break! Not a bunch of bullies picking on her!“  he turned back to the screen “What was all that about though?”
“I scrolled until I got to this comment!” She opened one of the screenshots, Chase smirked at her
“You slacking at work obviously” she glared at him
“Just shut up and read!”
Tumblr media
“I KNEW IT!” He cried “She knows more than she’s letting on!” Lana crossed her arms
“Then why did you not grill her for information?”
“Because she’s scared for her life! I don’t want to be the one to put her in danger!!!” He answered
“Scared? Hah! She should be scared of what would happen if she didn’t speak! People will keep dying and _ “
“We are the police!” He interrupted “We’ve been training for YEARS to conquer the fear of death and bending our will to put our lives on the line! This is our job and these are its obligations! You can’t expect the same dedication from her! She’s just a kid!!! “
“Yeah I know she’s minor and shocked and all that but there is a SERIAL KILLER on the loose and we have NO leads! You can’t go soft!”
“For the sake of argument let’s assume she knows vital information, do you think the killer would let her live with it?!”
“Yes! They only needed to keep her quite! You see, the accounts that uploaded the video got hacked! Gladly I managed to save a copy into this flash memory before all traces were removed“
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Well” he started “It seems that our hacker did this for her sake! Perhaps she requested for them to be hacked”
“Yeah right! Things are not always what they seem! The killers couldn’t publicly say: she talked too much! So we’re gonna remove her videos... “ she argued
“What about her account? Was it hacked?” She took few seconds to answer
“... No It wasn’t...”
“If I was a hacker involved in serial killing, and a little girl revealed information, I’d hack HER ACCOUNT first, then everyone else who uploaded the video... can you show me her profile?”
Lana opened Hai’s Instagram profile on her phone and showed Chase “Not much! Just some dishes she cooks, video game stuff, but mostly those crazy suicidal rooftop videos” she shuddered
“Parkour videos! She boasted about her skills! That’s definitely her!” He turned to her, teasing “Being the procrastinator you are, I bet you already scrolled through the whole account! Did she ever upload a picture of herself?”
“No”she pretended she didn’t hear the procrastination part
“No wonder she got mad at those who filmed the fight! she doesn’t want her face in public social media, and the hacker came through FOR her!”
“It sure is NICE to have a hacker as a friend!” She said in a wishful tone
“A friend!” He whispered to himself, then widened his eyes with realization “Come to think of it! Hai seems to value Marki! Heck she even reached out to him instead of the police!”
“I’d do the same to be honest! I hate to admit but a hacker is more capable than cops!”
“What if Marki and the hacker are one and the same?!!!” He wondered
“Look at all you learned” She smiled “what would you do without me”
“Thank you! Still, Those are just hypothesis. Not facts... except for the ugly truth that a hacker is involved... “ his last sentence was said in a terrified tone, Lana noticed his face gradually getting pale
“You’re shaking? Are you alright?” She asked
“This is CHICAGO!The smart ass city where everything is run by CTOS!” His voice grew louder, drawing the attention of everyone in the room “Haven’t you noticed how (fatal accidents) sky rocketed ever since the introduction of Ctos? This system gave Hackers more than just access to money and information! They now have the whole city’s infrastructure in their fingertips! We got explosions, blackouts, traffic lights jammed, Heavy containers falling on heads and more! Those fatal accidents weren’t unfortunate malfunctions! They were homicide performed by hackers and written off as accidents!”
“Wow! Are you secretly a dedsec member?” Asked Lana
“Our opinions my align, but I don’t trust them! As a matter of fact, I don’t trust anyone capable of hacking!” He walked towards the door, leaving “I want Marki’s portraits printed and distributed inside the building! I want everyone to remember his face! Am pretty damn sure he’ll attend Claudette’s funeral! I’ll have the secret police force secure the church ...  we’ll get ‘em!”
“Did you kids hear strange noises?“ Marial asked, they exchanged looks and shook their heads , she looked at them, one by one “I know I may seem paranoid but, I feel like I am being watched... “ she thought Azur would shrug it off like he always do, but instead, he placed comforting hands on her shoulders
“I’ll go check it out for you”
“No! Please don’t!”
“Mom! I hold a Karate black belt! You handpicked my master! I’ll be fine!”
“No no am just imagining things... this whole serial killer thing really got into me! If I keep this up I’ll lose my mind so...”
“As you wish”
“So... you guys are having a study party?”
“Yeah... Hai’s having hard time with biology. Namely the X linked recessive inheritance diseases” he took white board markers “am going to explain it to her” and in cue, they all seated before Azur waiting for him to begin
We’ve already learned about autosomal recessive inheritance back in school, how to determine the health condition of the children based on their parents health condition, weather they’re healthy, carriers, or infected! However, X linked recessive inheritance is a whole new story! First, am gonna explain the basic facts...
Tumblr media
In X linked recessive inheritance diseases, women, could be: healthy, carrier, infected (rare though)
Tumblr media
A male can be either healthy, or infected! He can’t be a carrier!  Now, the properties!
Tumblr media
Males do not absorb bad genes, nor pass them down! They only receive them from their mothers! As for females,,,
Tumblr media
They absorb the bad genes, and pass them down too! Now, let’s see how we determine the health condition of a new born male!
Tumblr media
As you can see, it does NOT depend on his father? Why? Because even if the father is infected, as a male, he doesn’t pass it down to his son… and the son, being male as well, doesn’t absorb the bad genes… Thus! His health condition depends on his mother!
Tumblr media
lemme explain the possible scenarios...  starting with a healthy mother...
Tumblr media
If the mother is healthy, they’ll be healthy! However, if she’s a carrier,,,
Tumblr media
,,,he either receive a bad gene, or get lucky and receive a good one! But if the mother was infected…
Tumblr media
…Her male children would be too!!! Moving on to female children.
Tumblr media
Females absorb the genes from both parents, so her health condition depends on both of her parents...this is why I divided the females in half…now... If her father was infected,
Tumblr media
She’ll absorb the bad gene and become a carrier! So it’s safe to say: male hemophiliac have carrier daughters… as for the other half, it depends on the mother! If she’s healthy, nothings there to absorb, however if she’s a carrier, she could either get a good gene and stay a carrier,
Tumblr media
and in rare cases get the bad gene and become hemophiliac!
Tumblr media
And if both parents are hemophilic, they should adopt instead of risking having children of their own. Questions?
Marial clapped for him, he saw a look on her eyes he rarely ever see! She looks… PROUD!
“You just brought me back in time…” she says “You’re the spitting image of your father! Same tone of voice! Same gestures and body language! Same expressions!” She scoffed bitterly “I could hear my brother saying (Oh hell no! Azur’s way cooler!)” Azur flashed a sad smile
“And you’re gonna say (of course he is! He’s of MY production)!”
The two laughed, this is one of the rare times where they don’t cry or feel sad upon recalling Evan…
“Mom! I want us to remember him like this more often” he asked, she nodded, she looked into her phone “Oh! The road’s clear! Am gonna get ready to head to work! Do you need a left, kids?”
“Yes” said Marki“I need to head back to campus” Hai raised her hand
“And I should be home!” She said,
“I don’t have classes” said Azur with a smug smile
“Okay! I’ll go get dressed! Get ready to leave” she said, then left the room, they waited to hear her dressing room door shuts before resuming their conversation...
“I think I understand what you were trying to say!” Said Hai “I know why the killer is going after women! They absorb and pass down the disease!” Azur nodded
“Not only that! The killer DEFINITELY suffers hemophilia! Either A or B! But not Hemophilia C! “
“Why?” Asked Marki
“Hemophilia C has autosomal recessive inheritance, so males can be carriers and pass down the bad genes! If it was hemophilia C, we’d have seen male victims too. Plus, hemophilia C is not as bad as hemophilia A and B! Severe hard to stop bleedings tend to happen only after a major injury or surgery. However, it’s rather threatening to females! Because every month th_ Ah! Am glad I don’t have it! Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to go street fighting!” Azur explained!
“This bit about monthly thingy with women!” Said the puzzled Marki “Explain it again! I don’t follow!” Azur waved his hand in dismissing signal
“It’s a girl thing! Don’t concern yourself with it”
“Well, my mother, sisters, Hai, your mom, and Noir are females! I care about them!” He said with determination
“Wait...” Noir interfered “You really don’t know?”
Azur mouthed (no please don’t) at her, Hai frantically waved her arms and shook her head
“Well, what Azur’s trying to say is: women are of an incredible breed! They bleed constantly for a whole week on monthly basis, and yet, somehow they survive!”
Azur and Hai turned in terror towards Marki who froze a bit, eyes widened, obliviously trying to picture the terrifying facts he just learned, he finally blinked and exclaimed: “....... WHAT?!!!”
“WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MY PRECIOUS BABY?!!!” Hai yelled, Asur joined her
“I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU JUST WASTED YEARS WORTH OF EFFORTS TO MAINTAIN MARKI’S INNOCENCE!”
“What! He gave me the puppy eyes!” Complained Noir, she glared at Azur “ Plus, YOU’RE the one who brought this up!” And before an argument erupts, Marki stopped them
“Alright enough! We’ve established that the killer has either hemophilia A or B and that hemophilia C is out of the question! Can we get back to the topic?”
“Where were we? Right! The killer! He’s blaming the female patients and carriers for spreading the illness! Trying to clear them off the face of earth! He thinks he’s doing a good thing trying to eliminate the disease.”
“Pffft! That’s wishful thinking!” Said Hai “It’s impossible to eliminate the disease entirely! “
“Yes, but If this goes on, OTHERS might get inspired and start serial killing movements OUTSIDE of Chicago! This has to be stopped!” Said Azur, Noir elbowed him
“Stopping them is on the police! Stay out of it!” She demanded
“We gotta warn the potential victims though!“ Said Marki, he turned to the girls “Do you have the warning message ready?
“Nope!” Answered Hai “ I need to tweak it and add Azur’s information! I’ll send it to you once done...”
“Try to have it ready for tonight! Now, let’s get ready to leave!”
The garage’s door opened, and Marial drove her car out slowly, taking in her surroundings, she saw a car, and heard it’s engine starting, she narrowed her eyes A stalker! Her instincts didn’t fail her this time! She was right to be paranoid! The man tailing her car was the voices she heard, and the eyes that watched! It’s been long since the last time I got a stalker! My evading skills must have gotten rusty, but am game! BRING IT ON

Chapter 3! I am being productive.
Questions
Elizabeth Robicheaux or she was. Faraday was her name now. Younger sister of Goodnight Robicheaux and Joshua Faraday’s better half. A nurse by profession. She also helped run the security business with Emma Cullen.
‘Seven Safe’ was the Security business which was a cover and alibi for the seven men who for one reason or another walked the path of death dealing. Emma Cullen had found Sam Chisolm after an unfortunate encounter with a corrupt Police official: Bartholomew Bogue, which left her dear husband Matthew bound to a wheelchair.
Until the day justice and revenge rained down upon Bogue like the wrath of God itself, Emma agreed to help Sam and so she became the face of the security business. If their clients distrusted a woman to this sort of business they were quickly silenced. Emma Cullen was no damsel in distress and she made sure to prove her worth to those rich fools quite vividly. She was no stranger to guns and Emma did not take insults sitting down.
Her close friend Teddy Q acted as her p.a and still jumped when Emma proved her point. Near the door of her office hung a dart board riddled with more holes than Swiss cheese and had been replaced twice now. Jack Horne had hung it up in her cozy office.
Perhaps you could shoot this instead of the wall, Miss Emma…
He’d said with a chuckle, knocking a nail into the dark painted wall.
The big stately home that had been in the Robicheaux name for generations acted as the headquarters for the business and a home for the seven men who spent a lot of time here and there.
The evening began as usual. Elizabeth was helping Teddy her brother-in-law prepare tea. Matthew set the long pine table. It was Jack the oldest of the group that insisted unless work commitments pulled them away all breakfast and tea would be eaten together, as a family. Sam often argued that they were not family but Jack and Goodnight disagreed.
LIKE A RHINESTONE COWBOY
Elizabeth stopped stirring the big pot of stew as her phone sung out loudly from the pocket of her skirt.
“Must be Joshua. They must be on their way back.” She thought aloud fishing the device from her pocket and held it up to her ear “Evenin’ darlin’”
“Hey..Lizzy sweetie..can you come round to the main house...I might have ran someone over”
Elizabeth stopped for moment and processed what the Irishman had just told her “What do you mean -might have-?” She half shouted down the phone earning the confused stares of Teddy and Matthew “If you ran someone over take them to the hospital you fool!”
“It’s not that easy Lizzy...they were trying to kill me….Are you-“ her impatient sigh silenced Faraday,
“I’m already at the house...Just.. how serious are we talking?”
“Oh..well they’re alive.”
“I should hope so!” she hung up and tossed the phone onto the kitchen side “Sorry Teddy can you handle the rest?”
“Of course..is something the matter?” he asked cautiously even though he’d heard most of the conversation already. Eliza shook her head and muttered something about Joshua being reckless: again.
She left the kitchen in a flurry to go prep the small infirmary they had in the house. With her husband being in such a dangerous business she had insisted they turn one of the rooms into small medical bay, it was easier and cheaper than going to the hospital. There was only so many times you could go to the hospital about getting a bullet removed until they started asking questions. Jack and Elizabeth were in charge of fixing everyone up. No sooner had she turned down the bed and prepared the table had Joshua returned pushing open the door to the med bay.
Jack entered the room after Joshua with a body in his arms.
“What on earth?! JOSHUA FARADAY! You didn’t mention a head wound. That looks bad you should have taken her to the hospital!”
“I did, didn’t I?” Faraday leaned in to plant a quick kiss of his wife’ cheek “You’re the best Lizzy.” he smiles and vacates the room before she can scold him further. Jack had already unwrapped the blood soaked from around her head. Elizabeth sighed she would have to chide him more later. Fortunately the woman had suffered no broken bones, a dislocated shoulder and she would hurt a lot when she woke up.
“She’s lucky that wound isn’t as deep as I thought.” Elizabeth carefully stitched the wound on her brow and wrapped bandages around it. “Jack help me lift her to the bed.” Jack moved their charge onto the bed. “Jack, what happened?”
“I can tell you that.” they both turned to Sam who was stood at the door his arms folded across his chest “She was sent to kill Faraday and I need to know who.” he crossed the small room as he pulled a pair of handcuffs out of his jacket pocket, seizing one of the blonde’s wrist he snapped the cuff on and clicked the other around the frame of the bed.
“She’s injured! How-”
“She’s a hitman. Injured or not she’s a threat. Come with me, there's another that needs looking at but less severe. Jack you too.” the door was locked behind them and they headed towards his office where the red haired accomplice was shouting and cursing.
-
“I’m not saying a damn word until she wakes up!” Rose snapped loudly jerking way from Elizabeth who was trying to look at the bump on her head. Sam grumbled these women were not going to play ball it seems.
“I just want to know who wanted him dead” Sam pointed to Joshua who was slouched in a black leather armchair a glass of whiskey in hand.
“Hell if I know.” Rose shrugged “Cass gets the jobs. She’s picky. If the pay isn’t right she won’t take it.” she looked at Joshua “Come on lad, give us a drink.” Sam gestured with his head for Faraday to share, which he does reluctantly. The strong whiskey was what Rose needed to calm her nerves if only for a moment “Look, I’m still not talking until Cass is awake.”
Sam pulled open a drawer of his desk setting a leather bundle on the top before rolling it out with a clatter. An array of stainless steel utensils. “You will talk-“
This time it was Jack who raised his voice to Sam. His hands slamming against the table making the wooden shudder under his fury.
“That young lady is injured, I will not allow you to harm her further.”
“I agree with gramps.” The whole room turned to face the double doors one half of which was now open. Leaning against the doorframe a bottle under one arm as they fumbled with a blister pack of painkiller was Cassandra. “If you hurt her, I will kill you in the slowest way possible.” She warned swallowing a few painkillers and chasing it with a good gulp of alcohol.
“Is that my bourbon?” Sam asked narrowing his eyes at the bottle in her grasp,
“Girl in the kitchen gave me it. She was more concerned to see me upright. She kindly pointed me in the right direction.” There were a few extremely concerned faces all of whom had started to move from their chairs “Don’t panic, I haven’t hurt anyone. I wasn’t paid too.” Cass strode across the room accepting the chair that Goodnight offered her. “So it seems we have a lot to talk about don’t we?” She stated calmly taking another swig from the bottle ignoring the glare Sam was giving her.
“I’m pretty sure I left you in a locked room.”
“Not really the relevant question right now is it?” Cass mused “oh, I forgot. You might want these back.” The clatter of metal echoed through the room as a pair of hand chucks skidded across Sam’s mahogany desk. She answered his questioning glare with a smirk. “You wants questions I can tell or you would have handed us over to the police. Look I don’t know why someone wants him dead or even if they do want him dead to begin with.” She started shuffling to get comfy in the chair which just served to remind her how much her body was aching “Does the name McCann ring a bell to anyone?”
“Yeah, he’s an asshole. He was in a gang a while back” Faraday answered quickly “Somehow he got into the force.” Something still wasn’t making sense. There had to be something else.
“I’ll look into it. I have a few favours I can call on” Jack clapped his hands together as if to announce a recess “Now then, it’s tea time. Will you young ladies be joining us for food? There is plenty to go around.”
Cass and Rose looked at each with complete and utter confusion.
“Jack..they aren’t joining us.” The older gentleman stood in front of Sam blocking him from view and looked at the girls awaiting their answer which was given in the form of Cass’ rumbling stomach.
“You two must be famished. Come on lets you some food.”
Taken prisoner and now they were being fed? This was the strangest interrogation techniques they had ever seen.

day 03 - supernatural au
Day three of the November Fic Challenge is a supernatural au! Partially inspired by @reioka‘s halloween au because I love the idea of fae Pepper.
This fic features human Tony, fae Pepper, and werewolf Rhodey, set mostly pre-IM1. Two times Tony protected them and one time they protected him? Or something.
“Pepper? Have you got those reports I need to check—holy shit!”
Tony nearly drops his coffee mug as he steps back into the door frame, wincing as it hits him right between the shoulder blades. In his office, Pepper gasps and spins away from the door, but not before Tony gets a good look at her decidedly inhuman features.
He scrambles to shut the door behind him, keeping his voice low as he says, “Pep, is there something you want to tell me?”
“Stop,” she snaps, and he freezes without thinking about it.
He holds his hands up, mug still clutched in one of them. “Okay, okay. I stopped.”
She doesn’t move for a long moment, and when she finally turns back around her face is normal again, her expression slightly strained. “Can I help you, Mr. Stark?”
“Ohhh, no no no. We’re not ignoring this.” Tony sets his mug down on a side table, squinting at Pepper’s face. “Did you lie on your job application?”
Pepper sniffs disdainfully. “Omitting the truth isn’t lying.”
“That is such a fae thing to say,” Tony says, slightly in awe, and Pepper’s face turns stormy.
“Excuse me?”
“That’s what you are, right?” Tony plows on, unconcerned where others may already have fled for their lives. “Fae? I’ve never met one of you in real life.”
“I should hope not, you get in enough trouble as it is,” Pepper mutters. She smooths her hands down the front of her suit jacket, clearly still composing herself. “And I’m not.”
“Not what?”
“A full fae.”
“Your face was pretty...” He gestures vaguely at his own face, at a loss for words to describe the fae countenance. He’d always thought Pepper had a somewhat otherworldly appearance, but he’d always chalked that up to being attracted to her.
Pepper bites her lip, glancing away. Whatever reservations she has, they’re apparently wearing away, because she sits down in his desk chair and says, “I can do a low-level glamour. It doesn’t take up a lot of concentration, most of the time.”
“That’s wild.” Tony sits down in the chair in front of the desk, still staring at Pepper. “Why are you even here? It’s illegal for fae to go into human business.”
“I was just an accountant!” Pepper exclaims, tossing her hands up in annoyance. “I didn’t technically try to be the assistant to the CEO. That was all your doing.”
He grins, not at all repentant. “Pepper ‘Virginia’ Potts—”
“Virginia is my real name, not—”
“—we are going to have so much fun.”
Her protests die out at once, mouth a little ‘o’ of surprise. “You’re not going to fire me?”
“What? No way! That’s probably discrimination or something.”
She frowns. “It’s legal, unfortunately.”
“Really? We should work on that.” Tony leans forward, both hands on the desk. “Look, you’re the best P.A. I’ve ever had. The only way you’re getting rid of me is if I die. So. I won’t tell anyone if you don’t.”
Pepper looks at him, and Tony forces himself to stare back and not fidget. Finally, she holds out a hand. “It’s a deal, Mr. Stark.”
Tony reaches out, almost taking her hand and shaking it before he stops. “Never make a deal with a fae,” he whispers, half to himself, half to her.
Pepper doesn’t drop her glamour, but when she grins at him, it feels like he’s looking at something he shouldn’t.
“Stop moving,” Rhodey mutters, gently stilling Tony with a hand on his chin to steady him. “You’re messing me up.”
“Because you keep poking the big-ass bruise around my eye,” Tony grumbles, but he tries to keep still so Rhodey can continue applying the concealer.
“Maybe that’s what you get for throwing yourself into a fight like that with a guy three times your size.”
Tony frowns indignantly. “You heard him, he was shit-talking werewolves! Doesn’t it irritate you how basically every shapeshifter gives you shit like that?”
“Yeah, but I also know not to pick fights with guys who can literally turn into bears.”
Tony had figured that if Rhodey wasn’t going to defend himself, he ought to step in. He has no idea why Rhodey always gets upset when he does that kind of stuff, but considering Rhodey was the only werewolf in the whole military who went into the Air Force instead of the Army when they were kids, Tony assumes Rhodey was prone to weirdness. Werewolves were not fond of heights as a general rule.
“It wasn’t even a grizzly,” Tony scoffs, then hisses as Rhodey touches a sensitive spot below his eye. “Hey, watch it!”
Before Rhodey can respond, the door opens and he hears Pepper ask, “What’s going on in here?”
“Nothing,” Tony replies instantly, nudging Rhodey’s hands away from his face.
Rhodey just frowns and says, “Tony got punched for defending my honor.”
“You make me sound so noble, sweetie,” Tony says, sarcastic, but it doesn’t deter Pepper from coming over to them, looking concerned. Rhodey glances up at her warily—he’d been like that ever since they told him Pepper was part fae, but Tony thinks he’s getting better about it—but lets her bend down to inspect Tony’s black eye.
“May I?” she asks, and Tony doesn’t know what she’s asking so he just nods.
He startles at the touch of her fingertip to the edge of the bruise, but all she does is gently slide her finger over the dark purple skin. His face feels warm, but he doesn’t know if it’s because of the magic he assumes is happening or just Pepper touching his face.
“That should hold for the rest of the day,” she says with a sigh once she’s finished, straightening up. “You have got to stop getting hurt right before big TV interviews.”
Rhodey holds out a compact from the makeup bag so Tony can look at his reflection, and sure enough, the bruise is completely gone. He pokes the spot below his eye and it hurts, but he grins anyway.
“Shit, Pep, that’s awesome.”
She glares at him. “Don’t get used to it. You have an image to maintain. That I have to maintain.”
“What image?” Tony asks with a snort. “I’m pretty sure that’s already down the drain, right next to my pride and respectability.”
“Tones, come on,” Rhodey says quietly, giving his shoulder a squeeze. “Pepper’s right, you can’t just deck someone because they’re saying something you don’t like.”
“Even if they’re insulting you?”
“If someone insults me badly enough they need punched, I’ll do it myself,” Rhodey promises.
“Or I’ll pay them a visit,” Pepper says, dead serious, and Tony shivers involuntarily.
“Okay, okay. I’ll cool it with the punching,” he says, scrambling to his feet before Rhodey or Pepper can stop him. “We good?”
“For now,” Pepper answers, and Rhodey nods and stands as well.
“Oh,” Tony adds on his way out the door, spinning around and pointing at them, “and you absolutely cannot kill anyone. At least without telling me first.”
Rhodey rolls his eyes while Pepper looks aghast at the mere suggestion, but Tony’s gone before either of them can say anything.
Rhodey breaks the news of Tony’s kidnapping over the phone, because Pepper’s back in the States, but also because he doesn’t want to face her in person when he explains what happened. She takes it as well as expected.
“You were supposed to protect him,” she nearly growls, ice masking the hurt and the fear, and Rhodey feels the phone in his hand grow cold.
“Pepper—” He tries to calm her, juggling the phone between his hands as frost begins to form.
“Why aren’t you out there? Why aren’t you getting him back?”
“Pepper! I’m doing everything I can, I swear. If I were on the ground I could track him, but they won’t let me go in.”
Pepper takes a deep breath, muffling something that sounds suspiciously like an aborted sob, and when she speaks again, calmer, the phone feels like it’s thawing.
“I’m sorry. I just can’t believe…”
“Me neither,” he whispers, knowing exactly how she feels right now. “But we’ll get him back, I promise.”
There’s silence on the other end for a moment. Then, “I can pull some strings. Get your boss to make a deal to let you go in yourself.”
“Pepper, no,” he hisses, lowering his voice. “Are you an idiot?”
“If that’s what it takes—”
“I’ll get him back without you compromising yourself. Do you trust me?”
More silence. Rhodey frowns, wondering if he should be offended, but finally she says,
“I trust you. Bring him home, Jim.”
Tony wonders if the heat’s finally gotten to him and he’s starting to hallucinate. There aren’t wolves in the desert, right? It’s probably a mirage. Except this mirage is running right toward him and it’s not slowing down, and oh God he recognizes this mirage—
He drops to his knees in the sand as an over-sized black wolf barrels into him, his arms automatically coming up to wrap around that big furry body and just hold on.
“Jesus Christ, Jim, are you mad,” he says, voice dry and raspy, and it’s too hot to hold onto Rhodey like this but he can’t let go. Over the dunes several human soldiers appear, dark dots in the distance, but Tony doesn’t care, just buries his face in Rhodey’s fur.
It takes him a moment to realize Rhodey’s shifting back, bare skin instead of fur under his hands now, and he lifts his head to mutter,
“Naked in the desert isn’t as fun as it looks, buddy,”
Rhodey grasps at Tony’s shoulders, pulling him back into a hug, and Tony goes willingly. “Next time you ride with me, okay?”
Tony just laughs, holding onto Rhodey tighter, tears prickling at the corners of his eyes at Rhodey’s hand petting his hair.
“Also, Pepper’s going to kill you,” Rhodey adds, and Tony laughs harder, content to stay there holding on to him until the rest of Rhodey’s squad arrives to bring them home.

Forever (Edward x Reader x Oswald)
This goes out to @fuckperfect67 Sorry it took so long!
Tumblr media
“Ahhh, Mr. Mayor.” You call as he leaves his office, “You need to sign these by Friday. Also the opry called. Apparently they’re having a re-grand opening and they want you there.” you hand him the papers, and a post-it with the date and time on it. He nods and walks back into his office, having forgotten why he came out, all the while looking at you bewildered. You go back to your desk and begin to work when he sticks his head out the door,   “Could you call Edward Nygma into my office?” he asked clearly confused,   “Of course Mr. Mayor.” You say as you press the number 2 then the call button.   “You’re doing great.” Edward says as he walks past making you smile to yourself, “What do you want?” You hear him say as he closes the door behind him.
“Who’s that?” Oswald whispers, “Why is she here?” he stares at you intently, wondering how long you’d been there.   “Well I hired her while you were gone.” Nygma says as responds as he pushes up his glasses, “After all every successful business leader needs a P.A.”   “Wait!” Oswald says excitedly as he looks back and forth between you and Edward, “I have my own actual personal assistant?”   “No, Oswald.’ He says as he shakes his head, “We have ‘our own actual’ assistant.”   “Still Edward.” He says smiling brightly, “It’s still pretty cool.” Edward sighs knowing there was no use in arguing,   “Yes. Oswald, It’s ‘pretty cool’.” Edwards says dully, while rolling his eyes.
A few days go by and you start noticing the your work get less and less, until it’s pretty much nonexistence. You sigh, sitting there bored out of your mind. The clock chimes letting you know it was time to go, and you pack up. You look around, the mayor’s hall was pretty empty, “Will I get fired?” you ask yourself as you begin walking out. Before you go Edward spots you and calls you over,   “You almost left without your paycheck.” Edward says as he hands you a roll of money. You take it and stare at it, “Sorry it’s not a check, but Oswald forgot to order more. So I just decided to it would be easier to pay you in cash.” You put it in your bag and look at the ground,   “Ummm…” you say not sure of how to phrase your words. You look up at him, and begin to notice how much taller he was compared to you,   “Did you want something?” he ask and you blush out of embarrassment,   “Oh, right. Umm…” You readjust your bag again, “Why did you hire me?” You look at him and notice his puzzled expression, “I mean. I have no experience for this job. And you guys don’t seem to have much need for a P.A. much anymore.” He looks down at you,   “Do you not want to work here?” He asks and you shake your head,   “No. I mean yes! I mean…” you sigh, “It’s just that-”   “You’re curious?”   “Well kinda…”   “You know-”   “Yea I know.” you say cutting him off, “Curiousity killed the cat.”   “Well it’s the good thing that the cat had nine lives.”   “Because satisfaction brought it back?”   “Exactly.” he says as he pats your head and walks away. You stand there confused,   “What just…” you ask yourself, “it was nothing.” you shake your head and begin to make your way home.
“You know,” a voice says behind you and you turn around,   “Oh, Mr. Mayor.” You say as soon as you recognize Oswald.   “You can call me Oswald.” he says as you look at him,   “But that would be so informal.” You say remembering your first day, “Mr. Nygma said our relationship should be nothing but formal and professional.” He smile falters for a minute,   “Well then may I at least call you by your name.” he ask and you open your mouth but stop yourself,   “Mr. Nygma said in order to keep my job you can’t know my name.” You say quietly, he looks at you shocked then angry,   “Did he now.” He says and you look at him unsure of what to do.   “Yes, but you can always call me L/n.” you say and he smiles at you, but you can tell it wasn’t a happy smile.   “Of course L/n. Could you cause Nygma into my office please” He asks through gritted teeth.   “Sure thing Mr. Mayor.” You say as you hit 2 then the call button.   “What is it this time Oswald.” Edward asks in a bored tone, “If you forgot I have business to attend to.” Oswald looks at him,   “Your business can wait.” He says grinding his teeth, “Why can’t I know l/n’s name?” he asks straight to the point, “Why did you tell her that she can only keep her job is she basically doesn’t talk to me at all?” Oswald looks at him uninterested,   “This is what you called me for?” He asks and shakes his head, “Oswald you are a crime boss. You can’t have people like her, knowing all of our secrets. It’s proven that once you know someone’s name you automatically grow closer to them. Oswald you can’t risk falling for this woman. You don’t need another weakness.” He sighs, “Oswald, just trust me, if you ever learn her name, things will go spiraling downward.” Oswald thinks for a moment and Edward uses this as a time to leave,  “Then why do you know her name?” He asks stopping Edward. He turns to him, straight facing,   “Because unlike you.” he says and leaves, but turns around at the last moment, “There is no love in my heart.” He leaves and makes his way to the break room. Something broke inside of Oswald as he heard that.
“I am so sorry!” You say as you hurry up and grab a towel and begin to try to clean it off. He stops you,   “It’s okay just take it to the cleaners,” he says as he begins to take of his blazer and his shirt. You blush and you take them from him. You make your way out but then you stop at the door,   “But what about your favorite mug?” You say as you look at the many pieces of glass that littered the floor.”   “It’s okay. Just clean it up when you get back.” He says as he stares at the remainder of all that was left of the mug he had had since he was in high school. “It’s not okay.” his voice comes out as a whisper and you had already gone, “Why do i feel this way?” He stares at the shard that held the imprint of the question mark, “Why?”
“Awww.” you say as oswald comes to you desk, “aren’t these penguins so cute?” you look at him and he just stares at the screen, something written on his face that you wouldn’t  quite understand, “I think penguins are just the most cutest of the animals.” you say absentmindedly. He just smiles at you, “Ooh, your nickname should be Penguin.” his face falls, and he frowns, “You’re so cute. Just like a Penguin. You even have the hair for it.” You finally turn around to him and see his distraught face, “Omigosh I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean it.” He looks at your face and his heart melts,   “It’s okay.” He says as he smiles, “I can be your penguin.”   “Hey Y/n!” A voice calls ruining the moment that you two were obviously having. You turn to see your best friend storming in,   “Geez! B/f/n you can’t just barge in here! This place is supposed to be heavily guarded. How did you get in?” You ask as they approach you,  “I just said I was Nygma’s little sister and that he asked me to meet him here.” They say shrugging their shoulders, “For some reason they easily believed me. You deadpan at her,   “Well, I was talking to the Mayor so give me a moment.” You say as you turn to him and he smiles at you,   “It’s okay Y/n we can talk about it later.” He turns but before he leaves he looks back at you, “By the way. You have a lovely name.”   “Ooooh,” B/f/n says, “he likes you.” You look at them shocked as they continue to and then look at Oswald’s office door, you'd never thought of him that way.
“Is that Y/n?” a voice says in the background,   “Yes, Oswald.” Edward responds,   “Tell her that she can go home today. We won’t be back for a while.” He responds,   “I don’t know if you heard him or not, but Oswald says you can go home for today. We’re out, and I don’t want you just waiting in there all day. I’ll still pay you the same as if you were here. Okay?” He says to you, and you look at the phone silently, “Y/n are you still there?”   “Yes. I’m here.” you respond, “Yeah I’ll go home.” You sigh, they really didn’t have any need for you.   “Hey,” Edward says, his voice softening, “It’s okay.” he says simply, and you smile.   “Umm, Edward..” you say, unsure of what you were doing, “I-” You were cut off by the sound of a scream, and the sound of punching.   “I gotta go.” Edward says hurriedly and you soon hear the dial tone. You sigh,   “I hope they’re okay.” you say to yourself as you begin to pack up.
“As it is now confirmed that the crime boss-” The tv shouts as you change channels, not really having cared for whatever the news anchor was going on about. Your stomach gurgles, and you sigh.   “What time is it?” you ask groggily, as you make your way to the fridge. You pick up a can of yogurt, which, upon opening, you realize is indeed expired. Groaning you finally check the time,   “Well, it’s shop now, or starve.” you sigh and put back on your shoes and coat and head to the store.
“Who’d of thought I’d see you here?” A voice says as you drop the packs of paper you had picked off the shelf. You both bend down to pick it up.  “Thanks,” you say and you finally look up to see the person who had been talking to you, “Mr. Nygma?” He smiles at you,  “We’re not at work,” he says smirking, “Please call me Edward or Ed, if you prefer.” You blush, thinking about how many ways this scene could’ve gone, and therefore concluding that you watch too many animes.   “Well, Ed.” you say, seeing how his name would sound coming out of your mouth, “What brings you here?” You begin to walk with him. He shows you his basket,   “Work.” he says as you notice various supplies, most of which are usually used for building or destroying things,”And you?”   “Food.” you say bluntly, “Well that and a little bit of work. Which is why you saw me with the paper.” He opens his mouth to say something, but his phone rings and he smiles apologetically. He answers it and you notice his hand tighten on his basket. His voice hushes and you can no longer hear him. You look around unsure of what to do, when something catches your eye. You grab it smiling. You hurriedly put it in your basket, when you look up and notice something else behind it. And if it were even possible you begin to smile wider, “Definitely.” you say as you put that to in your basket and hide both of them, as you make your way to Edward just to find him gone. You frown and look at the time: 9:45 pm. You sigh and head to the checkout.
“These came in for you both.” You lie as you sit two boxes on the desk, trying to hide your smile. They look at each other suspiciously, and you can’t help but wonder what they were saying to each other. Maybe there was more to them then you’ve come to learn in the past year? You shake your head, knowing that you knew them pretty well, “Well aren’t you going to open it?” You can’t help but to hide your excitement, “It’s not like it’s a bomb or anything.” you roll your eyes, and they exchange more looks. Edward picks up the box and holds his ear to it, and you can’t help but laugh, “Come on guys. Just open them.” They look at each other then open them, prepared for anything, but what it was.   “Y/n…” Edward says slowly as he picks up a mug with a f/c question mark,   “I saw it at the store and thought of how I had broke your favorite mug last month.” you say looking down, “ I know you said it was okay, but I saw how sad you were. Also sorry it’s not like the original. They only had f/c, and I figured since it’s my favorite color you might like it too.” He looks at you smiling,   “I love it.” he says immediately, Oswald watches this exchange and opens his box, and can’t help but smile either as he pulls out a similar mug but with an umbrella instead,   “I got that for you cause I noticed how you carry your umbrella everywhere. Though not recently anymore, so I thought you might’ve lost it. So I got that cause I figured you missed it. Also sorry about it being f/c also…” He shakes his head,   “It’s alright.” he smiles at you, “I love it a lot.” You all just stand there for a moment before the phone rings, “Well get back to work.” And you go to leave, but before you do Oswald stops you, “But before you go, can you give me a cup of coffee in my favorite mug?” he hands you the mug you got for him and you smile,   “Of course, Mr Mayor.” You say as you leave.   “What do you think you’re doing?” Edward says to Oswald, and Oswald hangs the phone back up,   “I’m just admiring my assistant and he lovely gift.” Oswald says looking through the blinds as he watches you wait for the coffee machine to finish. He waves at you, and you notice him and wave back.   “Our assistant Oswald.” Edward says then smirks, “Besides that git she got you was a last  second thought. Obviously she was thinking of me first, but then felt sorry that you didn’t get something so she got you that sorry excuse of a mug.” Oswald turns to him, frowning,   “Take that back.” he says, clearly a little mad, Edward smiles,   “What take back the truth?” He says knowing he’d won this battle, “Sorry. Can’t do that.” He turns around and leaves, “Oh Y/n!” he shouts, knowing Oswald would hear him.
“If you so much as touch her!” Edward says as he storms into the office. But Oswald just waves him off,   “What am I supposed to do?” He says smirking, “FIre her? I mean, I won’t, but you can. Because hurting y/n’s feeling isn’t something I want to do. Look how much she likes working here. I would never do that, because I care for her. Unlike you.” Oswald’s smile had grown , knowing he’d won this argument, as Edward fumes out of the office,   “Oswald can never have Y/n. She’s mine!” He says as he closes his office door, he sees the mug he’d gotten from her a few weeks back, “I love her, more than he does.” Then it clicks in his head as he voice goes to a whisper, “I love her…” He then stands up, not realizing he had been on the floor, and goes to his phone and presses the call button,    “Yes?” your voice asks through the phone and he smiles at the sound of it,   “I’ve existed for over a million years. I change every day, and will never be the same twice. What am I?” He says quickly, wanting to get it out before he could change his mind. You don’t respond after a while, and he begins to grow nervous,   “A date?” you ask and he smiles,   “Yes.” He says, but then freezes, not having planned this far.   “Mr. Nygma?” you ask, after he doesn’t respond,   “Oh yes.” he says, snapping back into reality, “I was wondering if you would like to eat lunch with me? I mean you don’t have to,  I could just pick you up something.” He stammers on but hears you giggle,   “I’m sorry,” you say, his heart breaking slowly,   “She’s busy during lunch.” Another voice says, and he immediately identifies this as Oswald.   “But i’m not busy during dinner.” you say, to him, “I mean. Only if you want to.” He smiles brightly at this,   “YES! YES! OF COURSE.” He says but then calms down, “I’ll pick you up at 7:30.”
“It was amazing.” You say into the phone, as you hear B/f/n squeal,   “You realize that that means BOTH of them like you.” they say, “Dare I say love you.” You blush madly,   “Both of them?” you say, unknowingly that they both had been listening in on your conversation, “I doubt it. I mean why would Oswald and Edward like me? I’m just there personal assistant?” Oswald clears his throat and you hurriedly say your goodbye, hang up the phone and turn to him. You couldn’t help but be shocked when you saw how angry he was,   “Call Nygma into my office.” He says and closes his office door immediately. You do so and Edward smiles at you as he walks by making you blush. As he closes the door and you begin to wonder what they were talking about.
“SHE IS MINE!” Edward shouts to Oswald and Oswald throws his pencil holder at Edward,   “I SWEAR TO YOU EDWARD IF YOU EVEN TRY TO INTERFERE WITH US I WILL KILL YOU.” Edward snarls at Oswald   “YOU KNOW NOTHING.”   “YOU’RE JUST JEALOUS.”   “JEALOUS OF WHAT? YOUR DELUSIONS?”   “OF ME AND Y/N!”   “THERE IS NO YOU AND Y/N.”   “WANT TO BET?”   “I DON’T HAVE TO I ALREADY KNOW. BECAUSE-” Edward stops as the door open,   “Ummm, somebody wants you both.” you say shakily and instead of listening, they shake you off,   “NOT NOW Y/N!” Oswald shouts at you, “We actually have something important to do.” He slams the door and you hear them begin to yell at each other again, things occasionally begin thrown around. You gulp as you turn around to the group of guys standing there with large guns.   “T-they’re not available right now…” you say shakily as a guy approaches you,   “Well well well…” he says as he puts his hand under your chin and makes you look at him. The metal felt cold against your skin, and you couldn’t help but feeling scared for your life, “Looks like we’ll be stealing you right of their hands.” he turns to the rest of the gang, “Right boys!” You open your mouth to scream but a gag is placed in your mouth, “Can’t have you screaming. Either time.” he says winking at you, sending a shiver down your body. Tears begin flowing down your face as you wonder what you did to deserve this.
“FINE!” Oswald say, huffing, as he falls to the floor, “We’ll just let Y/n decide.” He looks at Edward, who is lying against the door. Edward lazily nods at him and he begins to crawl to his desk, battered and bloody from their long fight, “Y/n come in here.”  After there was no response, Edward begin to get up. “Y/n.” Oswald says again, this time worry filling his face.” Edward’s adrenaline begins to kick in as he shoots up and opens the door and spots your empty desk,   “She’s not here.” He says and panic begins to set.   “It’s 10.” Oswald says trying to reassure himself, “Maybe she went home?” Edward shakes his head,   “She’d never leave without her bag.” he says as he notices it hanging from your chair, “Oswald, someone took her.” he grows angry, as he looks at the paper stabbed with a knife on your desk. He picks it up reads it and gives it to Oswald, who decides to read it out loud,   “Stole your bitch. Butch.” he balls it up and glares at it, “She’s not a bitch.” His tone grows darker,   “This is your fault.” Edward says as he begins growing angry, “If you hadn’t shouted at her. She wouldn’t be gone.” He grabs guns out of the wall and begin tossing them into a pile. He looks up to see Oswald on the phone. He storms up to him, just as he hangs up, “A phone call isn’t going to save her.” He pins him to wall angrily,   “Isn’t it?” Oswald says and Edward snarls.   “Someone called?” A voice says as Edward turns around to see Zsasz. He smiles as they pick up the guns and begin their way to kill Butch.   “Boss!” Someone yells, and Butch sighs. He looks back at you,
“Stay. Or else.” he says his mouth next to your ear, “I can go again. Can you?” He picks up a shotgun and leave, and you stay there paralyzed. The sound of gun shots pull you back into reality and you curl up into a fetal position and cry, seeing as that is the only thing your mind could think of doing. The lights flicker off, and you can’t help but cry louder.   “Y/n!” a familiar voice shouts and you stop crying.   “Oswald?” You whisper.   “Y/n!” he shouts again and you use the rest of your strength and to bang on the room door you were in.   “I’m in here!” you shout. “I’m in here!” Your body soon gives up on you and you collapse, “I’m in here.” your voice barely a whisper, and soon you black out.
You wake up and the lights blind you. You see a dark figure and you scream. Curling up into a ball, assuming past events were just a dream.   “Y/n. It’s okay.” A voice, you assume is Oswald’s say. You look up at see Oswald. You reach out to touch him, and when you touch him you instantly cry. “I’m here Y/n.”   “He-” You sputter trying to get the words out, but Oswald places his arms around you,   “It’s okay.” he says, rubbing your back, “We’re here now.” You hug him back, tears streaming from your face,   “We’ll always be here.” You hear Edward say, as you feel a second pair of arms wrap around you,   “Forever?”   “Forever.” They say in unison.
