And Annabeth looks at Percy like: you were learning to drive last summer

And Percy looks at Annabeth like: that was before I had an amnesiac gap year and went to Canada

By the time they have finished their mental argument and Percy is about to say he’ll drive, they turn around and realize that ;

Leo has hot wired the car,

Frank Hazel and Jason are all in the back looking slightly terrified

And Piper is in the drivers seat car ready to go and shouting at them to get a move on

Au where gods can raise each others kids and many take advantage of this, the sea deities just drop off at Poseidon's palace or the underwater camp, same goes for underworld deities/Demeter. Hephaestus, Ares, and Aphrodite all interchange the other's kids; Hera occasionally finds some of her mortal step kid and some of her other siblings kids she likes and raises them, they become some of the most spoiled things on the world matching the sea kids. The Zeus kids that Hera didn't want, as well as the children of a few specifics gods, are raised by Hestia.

So I have this head canon that part of why ppl find Nico creepy is that he looks unnaturally aged for someone so obviously mean to be young. Now, whether this is just his natural appearance due to his general living conditions or a Son of Hades thing is up to you.

So how did it take me so long to realize that Leo and Piper were in a wilderness school program.

Like a troubled youth wilderness school were they are forced to go by the parents and then not allowed any contact, forced to go through extensive physical and mental challenges and then depend on each other to survive their time there.

And the field trip the school went on in the first book was probably just because hedge need ed to deliver Leo and Piper to camp half blood, Not because the school has little fun trips to American nature reserves where they fill in worksheets.

Rick please just give me some Leo & Piper in pre-lost hero content of their time in wilderness school and their first meeting.

Theseus, who was helped by poseidon multiple times, but in the end was thrown off a cliff by the citizens of Athens and drowned. Drowned in the ocean, the very domain of his father.

Kymopoleia, who was neglected by Poseidon once he found her to be too violent, left to wander his abandoned palaces, given up as a war prize to man she didn't even want with no choice at all.

Bellerophon, who was given the pegasus to tame as a gift from Poseidon in some myths, dying by falling off of it on his way to Olympus.

I'm just saying, that line wasn't a random throwaway line by Ares, he means it.

What if the reason Nico' powers are so out of control when compared to Percy and Jason's or even Hazel's is because during his time in the Lotus Casino his powers kept on growing and growing but he didn't properly develop them so instead of working without them hurting him they hurt him because his body cant handle the sudden influx of power all at once. This can also technically apply to Thalia but not as much as ger body was developing alongside her body while she was just not at the same rate.
