HP Next Gen OCs: Band Edition

In my version of the next gen, Fred Weasley grows up and opens a nightclub that caters mostly to the wizarding community (this includes squibs and muggles who have some connection to the community), called Colours.

Within the club, he has live music performed by an in-house band called "No One of Consequence" — a group of five with varying backgrounds that he met by pure chance in Diagon Alley. He hired them almost immediately after hearing them play, and they live together in a flat above the club to make it easier to come to work.

Fred only knows a little about each of their backgrounds but trusts them implicitly and loves their company. They become a huge draw to the club, which is even more exciting. Considers them to be his partners, even though he's technically their boss; he sees them as equals.

Name: Malika Shaan

Origin: India

Wand: none

Patronus: none

Profession: Drummer

Sexuality: bisexual

Details: born in India to a long line of illustrious potioneers. For generations, her family has produced incredibly skilled wizards and witches; until she was born. A squib with absolutely no magical inclination, rather than being accepted, she was shunned by her family and considered a dark omen, a sign of their families downfall. The only member of her family who cared for her was her great, great grandfather Malik Shaan, whom she was named for. The patriarch of the family, he was the only one who loved her and took care of her. The rest of her family — parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings — abused and neglected her, locking her in the family estate and refusing to admit her existence to the rest of the wizarding world. She was an embarrassment, after all.

Malik despised the way the rest of the family treated her, seeing her as good fortune rather than bad, but his age and perceived mental decline made it so the rest of the family refused to acknowledge his will despite being the head of the family. So, out of spite, Malik gifts Malika an ancient book of potions that had been passed down for generations in their family. An heirloom meant to be passed to the next head of house, Malik decides they don't deserve it. So when he feels his health fading he gives the book to Malika and tells her to leave the country, because the family no longer deserves the prestige of their name if they're willing to abuse someone not of magical prowess. He passes away not long after Malika leaves.

She can't open the book as it's locked with a magical seal, but she never lets it out of her sight. She promised her grandfather she'd take care of their families legacy, and she intends to do so even at the cost of her own wellbeing. She wears a gold locket around her neck decorated with a crescent moon and a star. Gifted to her by Malik, it holds a photograph of the two of them and is her most prized possession.

Wears loose clothes, generally autumnal colors, and has a gold septum + gold labret piercing. Carries her drumsticks everywhere she goes. In a way, it makes her feel like she's holding a magic wand, which makes her feel closer to her grandfather. A part of her does feel disappointed and angry that she doesn't have magic but has learned to live with it.

Name: Adrien "Ren" Taylor

Origin: Australia

Wand: acacia and re'em horn (an heirloom wand passed down from her mother)

Patronus: bat

Profession: Bassist + Vocalist

Sexuality: aroace

Details: born in the Australian outback, five minutes older than her younger twin brother. Her mother was a Magizoologist while her father secretly worked in black market creature sales and transport. Mr. Taylor lied to his wife about what he did for work in order to access the rare magical beasts that she worked with as a Magizoologist. She was furious when she found out, but instead of letting her leave to call the authorities, he threw her into a room with a chained and injured beast and let her be torn to shreds. He was happy to be rid of her, but was left with two very young children to raise, and he did not want to deal with them.

He and his gang of black market thugs raised Adrien and her brother, teaching them magic through homeschooling and trying to instill a deep fear and hatred of magical beasts in the twins to make them "useful" to the gang. At a young age, her father locks her in an arena with a dangerous beast and is badly wounded. Instead of bringing her to a healer, her father allows her to develop blood poisoning and sepsis, claiming if she can't pull through on her own, then she simply isn't strong enough.

Out of desperation, her brother uses a rare and forbidden blood magic to brew a potion that remarkably enough manages to heal Adrien, but with the unforseen side effect of turning her into what the magical world considers to be a vampire; she develops a strange blood anemia that alters her genes to the point where she needs to consume blood to maintain healthy iron levels; though she hates taking blood from animals or people.

After discovering her vampirism, she and her brother are forced to acknowledge the fact that if their father discovered it, he would likely take advantage of it and extort her condition. Vampire blood and vampire fangs are rare commodities, after all, and their father wouldn't be against selling his own daughter for money. Even if he'd be selling her for parts. So they take what they can carry and run away.

Adrien manages her condition with iron supplements and isn't against stealing bags of blood from hospitals if she absolutely needs to. She's extremely pale, and the pigment faded from her hair as a side effect of her vampirism, leaving it white. Adrien is physically stronger than most people, amplified when she drinks actual blood. She burns easily in the sun, so sunblock and aloe vera are her best friends. Her eyes are naturally blue, but they grew paler after her change, the pigment fading just like it did in her hair.

She normally dresses in all black and has nose bridge and snakebite piercings, both silver.

Name: Mason Taylor

Origin: Australia

Wand: spruce and billywig stinger

Patronus: salamander

Profession: Guitarist | DJ

Sexuality: gay

Details: five minutes younger than his sister, they used to be near identical before Adrien's change, but Mason was born with heterochromatic eyes, which always made him unique. His left eye is the same blue as Adrien's, and just like his sister, he's subjected to alarming abuse by their father. A bit before his sister is injured, their father throws him into a cage with a frightened dragon that reacts by biting his left leg clean off just above the knee. Fit with a prosthetic and walks with a limp.

This is reason number 7000 that he loves working for Fred at the club. They're both transmasc and actually have a ton in common, so they get along outrageously well. They have similar senses of humor, enjoy the same sort of media, and have a lot of respect for each other.

Transmasc, which adds to the harassment from his father and the gang, but his mother and sister have always been outrageously supportive. It isn't until they run away that he's able to work towards a life — and a body — that Mason can feel comfortable in.

GayTransmascJokes™. They are insufferable together (Adrien is very happy for him).

Has a more extroverted personality than his sister, though they both still love animals and feel no hatred or vengeance towards them for the injuries they both sustained. He wears an old bomber jacket with a fur neckline, as well as a brown corded cattleman hat with an occamy feather stuck in the hat band. The feather was a gift from their mother. Not much for tattoos, but his ears are pierced. He and Adrien share a set of earrings that used to belong to their mother. They each wear one of the earrings.

Name: Imamu "Baron" Abara

Origin: Uganda

Wand: cherry and augurey tail feather

Patronus: blackbird

Profession: Pianist

Sexuality: straight

Details: a graduate of Uagadou and a powerful seer, extremely talented in Divination and reading runes; though his personality is not what one would expect of a seer (basically the opposite of Trelawney). He gets his abilities from his mother's side of the family, where there have been powerful prophets in every single generation without fail. They can be identified by the alarming eye color that they all share — piercing gold, almost yellow, and practically glowing. Imamu hides his eyes behind extremely dark sunglasses in an attempt to protect himself from people who may want to take advantage of his ability.

He has prophetic dreams and can see snippets of people's pasts and futures when he looks them in the eye, which is why he does not like looking people in the eye. He's extremely talented at scrying through mirrors, which is how he prefers to "see". His mother is also a Uagadou graduate, born in Uganda like him, and his father is from London. They move to the UK after Imamu graduates.

In addition to his seeing abilities, he is also an animagus and can transform into a blackbird. He does not need a wand to perform spells, but his father insisted on getting him one when they moved to London, as additional padding of protection. The more "normal" he appears, the less people will badger him, and wandless magic is very rare in England, which makes him stand out too much.

A jokester with a sharp sense of humor and extremely charismatic. He plays into his appearance because he knows he's attractive and is very proud of it (he is his mother's son). He can play both the drums and the piano, just prefers the piano. It was his idea to start the band as a cover to protect his identity as well as his friends' identities because all of them are being hunted in some way.

Is absolutely enamored with Roxanne because he can not see into her head, and he likes that. She's a mystery to him, not realizing that the reason he can't see her future is because her future is with him (and no seer alive is able to see their own future).

Name: Julian "Jule" Reinhardt

Origin: Germany

Wand: willow and veela hair/dragon heartstring

Patronus: occamy

Profession: Bassist + Vocalist

Sexuality: demisexual

Details: born at the edges of the Black Forest to a fairly normal wizarding family, if allowed to grow up properly, he would have attended Durmstrang. Tragically, he was never given the opportunity, as he was kidnapped when he was extremely young by a pack of werewolves who lived in the deep mountains of the Black Forest.

A "family" consisting of just lycanthropes, though very few of them are related by blood. Their way of expanding on their "family" is by choosing young children and stealing them from their families, biting them for the purpose of creating a legacy of lycanthropy to be passed down. It's thought that the first werewolf was made from the Black Forest, which makes the "family" blind with the desire to maintain the purity of their history. Instead, they turn into murderers, kidnappers, and abusers. Jule is just one of the victims.

Julian has no memory of his original family and is not taught much magic by the pack, nor does he have a wand. He does know how the pack works, though, so he knows he had a family and that they are no longer alive. Unlike the rest of the pack, Julian has always felt like an outcast. In an act of desperation to escape the abuse, he decides to run away, though he is in constant fear of hurting people along the way.

He's absolutely terrible around people because of his isolation and has a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to act around them. Extremely quiet and cautious, he hates being touched. He's nervous and anxious but very protective of his people.

He's physically stronger than he realizes because of his lycanthropy (he doesn't know his own strength; in fact, he thinks he's extremely weak). Abysmal confidence (think albus pre-delphini). He doesn't have much faith in his magic and doesn't get a wand until he moves to England. Imamu takes him to Diagon Alley and Olivanders, where he ends up being chosen by an unusual willow wand with a core of braided dragon heartstring and veela hair.

Keeps his black hair long enough that he can use his bangs to cover his right eye, which he damaged badly during one of his first transformations, leaving him half blind and badly scarred. No one can see the scars if his bangs are in place and if they don't look too close. Most of his scars are on the rest of his body rather than his face, which he hides under thick layers of dark clothes: high neck shirts with long sleeves, leather gloves, jackets, etc.

Keeps his nails cut and filed as short as he can to the point where they sometimes bleed because he doesn't want to accidentally scratch someone. Wears gloves as an extra precaution. Also wears a black face mask over his nose and mouth when he's in public (that's how terrified of himself he is).

Being on the stage playing bass with his friends, who love him and understand him in spite of everything, is the only time he feels like he can be anything other than a victim. He's on the stage playing the first time he sees Louis, who he falls in love with at first sight. He doesn't realize it at first and thinks the racing of his heart is a sign of fear as that's the only thing he's ever felt in the past.

You know, it would actually be extremely fitting for Gabe to have a unicorn tail as it is possible that the unicorn was inspired by the re'em which could have possibly been the Auroch, an extinct cattle ancestor or other bull-like cattle like an ox, by way of confusing Mesopotamian art which would depict it in side profile so it looked like it had one huge horn instead of two (Such as on Ishtar's Gate), which, considering your fallen Gabe has a pair of massive horns…

Also some translations of the bible during the Middle Ages subsituted references of the Re'em for Unicorn as they had very similar representations as a creature of strength and being untameable.

Also it's ironic that the Unicorn could only be tamed by the gentle hand of pure virgin, while fallen Gabe could only be 'tamed' by getting absolutely ultraviolenced by a robot. So there are some parallels

anon im in love with all of this.....because honestly when i tried the tail, i settled on unicorn for a few reasons - i wanted it different from a typical demon tail and, like you mentioned, the unicorn is related to virginity and gabriel is often depicted alongside the virgin mary due to his role as the messenger in the annunciation. it had the added bonus of being white to match the fur mantle i give him, but that was it!! BUT everything you point out here gives me too many good reasons to actually pass on it now. the bull-like qualities are an important motif in his design and his horns actually resemble the auroch's a lot, considering their shared black tips and how prominent they become in his final form. most interestingly though is the unicorn's replacement of the ox, that it came to be so prominent in christianity as a biblical corruption in some ways - feels fitting for a fallen angel. big bonus that in this context the unicorn/auroch is depicted as wild and intensely powerful, with god himself often likened to it. in this state gabriel's strength is now entirely unbound and as he wills it....which offers interesting implications if we apply the idea presented in paradise lost (which my fallen gabe has already taken cues from) that god can at will allow an angel to act with more or less strength depending on his wishes. SO. got me thinking maybe gabriel doesn't quite know his own strength at first as he rarely had full access to it.

As a dork who loves heraldry and family symbols, the ask you answered about Lions made me realize: I know nothing about Jewish heraldry! Any other fun facts, if you have time? I just like understanding the many meanings symbols have from culture to culture. Have a lovely day!

The first instance of Jewish heraldry is of course, with the 12 Tribes. Each of the 12 Tribes have their own flag, with a symbol on it, and a colour, and a precious stone associated with them.

They are:

Reuven (Reuben)- Symbol: Duda'im (Mandrake or Jasmine). Stone: Odem (Ruby). Flag colour: Red.

Shimon (Simeon)- Symbol: The walls of the city of Schem. Stone: Pitdah (Topaz or Prase). Flag colour: Green.

Levi (Levi)- Symbol: Urim V'Tumim. Stone: Bareket (Emerald or Onyx or Carbuncle). Flag colour: Three stripes of white, black, and red.

Yehudah (Judah)- Symbol: Lion. Stone: Nofech (Probably Emerald). Flag colour: Sky blue.

Yissachar (Issacar)- Symbol: Sun and moon. Stone: Sappir (Sapphire). Flag colour: Dark blue.

Z'vulun (Zebulun)- Symbol: Merchant ship. Stone: Yahalom (Diamond or Pearl). Flag colour: White.

Dan (Dan)- Symbol: Snake. Stone: Leshem (Probably Amber). Flag colour: Blue.

Naftali (Naphtali)- Symbol: Gazelle. Stone: Achlamah (Amathyst or Quartz). Flag colour: Wine red.

Asher (Asher)- Symbol: Olive tree. Stone: Tarshish (Chrysolite, Coal, Flint, or Jacinth). Flag colour: Unclear, pearl likely.

Yosef (Joseph)- Yosef was split into two territories, of his sons, Menashe and Ephraim, but they both had the same precious stone of Shoham (Malachite or Onyx) and flag colour of black. For their flags; Menashe- Symbol: Re'em (Horned animal, either an Ox, a Rhinoceros, or a Unicorn). Ephraim- Symbol- Bull.

Binyamin (Benjamin)- Symbol: Wolf. Stone: Yashfe (Maybe Jasper). Flag colour: Multicolour.

Historically, Jewish family heralds were not recognized by the dominant governences, since Jews were second-class citizens throughout much of the world. As such, family heralds weren't officially recognized, but you can find many patterns in the gravestones of Jewish cemetaries and family documents.

Jewish family heralds often incoorperated symbols from their known tribe, as well as Kabbalistic and Tanakhic symbols. Astrological symbols were also popular. Many families who claimed descent from King David incorperated lions or any felines into their heralds. Families who were Cohanim often had hand symbolism.

Going through the Abrahamic mythos for dislyte wishlist

like ya I usually just dismiss it cause all everyone is just going to say is jesus revives in three turns or lucifer... as a pretty man (game changing ideas I know)

but no... seeing as this is a more likely to happen than not since they're using demons for bosses now, let's make the list

starting with angels I want

Sandalphon

The Chief of the 7th Heaven

The one in charge of receiving prayers for God

And noticably described as tall which is saying alot seeing how angels can shapeshift. So dudes gotta be pretty big to be described as a tall angel

The 7th Heaven is where the angels that sing to god reside. So another singing esper with some sort of support

Legendary Creatures I'll pick the

Re'em

Described as unicorn, some sorta african bovine or a rhino. I say it'd make for a cool furry (I mean we don't have a rhino furry yet)

gigantic has strength very durable and a horn that can reach the sky. these things were mistake for mountians

a defender wind esper that works similar to Li Ao, where it removes characters from the field for a set number of turns

I can't really say I want a satan of all things but I guess I'll pick

Mastema

I mean according to the story he's not actively tempting human into doing evil so they go to hell and burn for all eternity. From his perspective he's just tempering humanity, giving out test, making them stronger...if someone can't hang and end up failing to meet up to standards well... well the bible doesn't tell stories about those people now do they?

A gimmick controller that extendeds buffs and debuffs

mostly cause he's a knight with a horse so I imagine his esper would get some cool looking armor and some crazy design horse to ride which would be pretty cool

"discover hidden objects, kindle love and lust, knows the future of wars and how soldiers should meet, along with procuring the favor of lords, knights and other important people. He is apt for divination and the performance of spells to strategize one's life."

So wind support. basic attack has chance of ignoring defense. second kindles love where he shares hp and ultimate kindles lust damaging attackers. think alexa but in full metal armor

mostly for that name (the inner DBZ nerd in me was reminded of debura) also I have no girl esper ideas on this list.

Anyways Deborah. The judge of Israel the "fiery woman"

had a part in the bible called "The Song of Deborah" which appearently may be on of the earliest hebrew poetry ( history is a trip amirite ). I think that's like 4 star esper worthy myself

and gonna be 100% I just want some hardass of a woman with a fire stand. just a lady who stays mad...and because she's an esper she gets fire powers.

Region of Origin: Europe/Various

Unicorns are fabulous creatures found in many tales and cultures across Europe, though they have their origins in many mythologies, like Mesopotamian, Indian, etc. They resemble beautiful white horses with a single spiraling horn protruding from their forehead. Their horns were said to have many magical traits, such as purifying water, curing diseases, etc.

Unicorns are wild creatures, and they can and will attack if provoked. Nonetheless, they are symbols of purity and innocence, and are fond of virgins, for it is said that only a virgin can capture a Unicorn. Because of this, many medieval texts and bestiaries often made metaphorical connections between Unicorns and the Virgin Mary.

During the Renaissance, people would often pass narwhal horns as unicorn horns so they could sell it to wealthy monarchs. They were present in much medieval imagery, particularly heraldry, and are still staples of fantasy pop culture to this day. Additionally, similar creatures exist in many cultures around the world, such as the chilean Camahueto, the chinese Qilin and the biblical Re'em, among many others.

The unicorn is a legendary creature that has been described since antiquity as a beast with a single large, pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead.

In European literature and art, the unicorn has for the last thousand years or so been depicted as a white horse-like or goat-like animal with a long straight horn with spiralling grooves, cloven hooves, and sometimes a goat's beard. In the Middle Ages and Renaissance, it was commonly described as an extremely wild woodland creature, a symbol of purity and grace, which could be captured only by a virgin. In encyclopedias, its horn was described as having the power to render poisoned water potable and to heal sickness. In medieval and Renaissance times, the tusk of the narwhal was sometimes sold as a unicorn horn.

A bovine type of unicorn is thought by some scholars to have been depicted in seals of the Bronze Age Indus Valley civilization, the interpretation remaining controversial. I really got curious over unicorns today, so I searched a bit and I found something called re'em (I think that's the name) that's Is present on the Bible even though depending on the translation it can be an ox, unicorn or anything else, but there was also some virgin mary stuff but that's not the focus.

The focus is that i remember lucifer and the unicorn symbol and then I got curious on why the hell a unicorn if all I found put the unicorn on a holy level kinda like Jesus and not lucifer? Well i tried searching for it and man all I could find was an angry lady telling how satanic and sinful the symbol of the unicorn is and I'm not kidding she used cartoons to prove her point and two ladies how were looking for unicorn stuff on a store.

Now when I look at lucifer on that unicorn clothes or the stickers I remember that woman being so angry over unicorns man i truly would like to know we're did she get the idea.

Also the only place i found a unicorn being a bad symbol was a Buddhist one that said unicorns means death but I would need to look more into it.

Alright! I was going to make a separate post about this, but since you brought it up.... I have been frantically researching what the symbolism of each of these lands could be. ie. Why are they shaped the way they are, especially when some of them would actually be suited better toward other sins.

Let's start with the obvious ones and work our way through the less clear ones:

Tartaros - A gold bar. A very straight forward symbol of greed and want.

Niflheim - A star and moons. Pretty clear symbols of night time and, along with it, sleep/sloth.

These ones make sense if you do a little finagling with symbolism:

Abaddon - Doing a little round about symbolism here, but snakes/serpents are the creature that seduced Eve into eating the fruit of knowledge. I have to assume that's what they are going for here: seduction. Lust is about cravings and desires. Also, it's not an ouroboros, but I see that snake checking out its own tail.

Hades - Usually, a crown would stand for pride because of the power and control it symbolizes, but it could be used as a symbol of envy when viewed from the other side. The crown is about having power, but the desire to have the crown is an envy for power. That desire for power, that want and drive to boost your own station while bringing down someone else, to take their traits for yourself, that is envy.

And the ones that I basically have to pull meaning out of my ass because the connection is so roundabout that I am basically playing six degrees of separation:

Abysos/Avisos - This one took a lot of looking into because unicorns are not symbols of gluttony. If anything unicorns either symbolize Christ or God's wrath (this is why OM Satan's animal is a unicorn). However, if we go back to the bible and look at the word "unicorn" it was often the chosen translation for the word Re'em until the 19th century where it was more commonly translated as "wild ox". The point is that Re'em may be closer to gluttony than the unicorn if you squint kind of hard and tilt your head. There are only ever two Re'em in existence at a time because they are so large that to have any more would basically deprive the world of resources and destroy it. They also exist at opposite ends of the world because, again, they would consume so many resources each that they would basically destroy the place they are (the only exception is mating season when the female kills the male after mating). I have to assume they are aiming for the Re'em in this capacity of consumption because it's the only thing I can see that makes sense.

Paradise Lost - The land of pride is literally named after the novel about Lucifer's fall as told from Lucifer's perspective. Although nothing in the previews of the game has hinted that devils were ever angels (in fact, it explicitly says that devils were made separately from angels), the novel itself is about the fall of the angels that rebelled against God. I can only assume that Paradise Lost is shaped like a wing as a call back to the original novel. On a more symbolic side, however, wings are often given to beings of high power or standing. They often symbolize many different things, but in this specific instance that meaning would be power, protection, and transcendence above one's station. Pride is literally the excessive desire for one's own self at the cost of rejecting subjugation to God. The pursuit of power and transcending one's own station would play right into pride. The protection aspect comes from the fact that Paradise Lost seems to be the land of healers (which is why I assume Buer had to move -- because his deal with dog god made him a healer).

On a sort of tangent, this is why the werewolf is violent when it transforms; because it is the wolf in charge rather than the man. Nowadays wolves symbolize loyalty, family, strength, bravery, and a whole host of other positive qualities, but this is the bible we're talking about and it was unfair to wolves.

Israel finally confirms purchase of four KC-46A aircraft, aiming at potential attack on Iran

The Israeli government and the U.S. defense company announced the $927 million agreement with the delivery of the first planes planned for 2025.

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing signed a contract with the U.S. Department of Defense on Thursday to supply Israel with four KC-46 refueling aircraft, according to the manufacturer's statement.

The KC-46A multifunctional aircraft enables refueling in the air for fighters and other aircraft, but can also be used for military transport.

For Israel, aircraft are considered necessary to carry out large potential attacks against targets in Iran, about 2,000 kilometers from Israel and far out of the normal flight range of Israeli jets.

KC-46 aircraft are expected to replace the current fleet of aged refueling aircraft of the Israeli Air Force, which includes the KC-130 Hercules and the converted Boeing 707.

The new replenishers are scheduled to arrive in 2025, at least. Israel asked for this date to be postponed - which would require the U.S. to give up its place in line to receive Boeing planes - but Washington has so far rejected the request.

The agreement will cost Israel $927 million, according to the contract, with the money coming from the $3.8 billion that Israel receives annually from Washington as part of the 10-year memorandum of understanding between the two countries.

In 2020, the U.S. Department of State approved a potential sale to Israel of up to eight Boeing tankers and related equipment for an estimated total cost of US$ 2.4 billion.

Under the agreement, Israel has the option to buy four more KC-46 aircraft in the future.

Defense Minister Benny Gantz praised the signing of the contract, saying that it was "another proof of the alliance and strategic relations" between Israeli and American defense establishments.

"The refueling planes we are buying, along with the acquisition of a new F-35 squadron, heavy transport helicopters, submarines and advanced weapons - will serve the IDF in the midst of the enormous challenges, near and far, that are about to be faced," Gantz said in a statement.

Israel welcomed the withdrawal of former U.S. President Donald Trump from a 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement, which it considered insufficient to deny its arch-enemy the means to make a bomb.

With the current U.S. administration and other world powers trying to renew the agreement, Israel signaled that it may eventually resort to preventive actions. The purchase of replenishers can help signal the seriousness about the possibility of a long-threatened attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) describes its Boeing 707 tankers as being over 45 years old, with few spare parts.

The KC-46As will be able to transport about 30% more fuel while consuming 30% less, the IAF newspaper said in a March 2021 article. "This will allow us to significantly improve our flight ranges," said an IAF major.

"In addition, this aircraft can refuel other aircraft while it is refueled simultaneously by another KC-46, a capacity that the (Boe Boeing 707 refuelling aircraft) does not have. This theoretically extends its range to infinity."

Under the contract, Boeing will also provide support, maintenance and repair services, logistics and fleet spare parts, ensuring the readiness of the mission for the IAF fleet.

“The KC-46A offers unparalleled air refueling and transportation capacity for the fleet, as well as secure and seamless data connectivity, protected with combat-ready defensive systems,” said James Burgess, vice president of Boeing and manager of the KC-46 program.

Boeing builds KC-46A aircraft on the 767 production line in Everett, Washington. Most of the additional classified special systems required by the IAF are expected to be installed on the production line, according to defense sources.

The first KC-46 was delivered to the U.S. Air Force in 2019 and the service ordered 179 of the aircraft, with delivery scheduled for 2027.
