I was immediately drawn to Marz I’m my first exocolonist playthrough mostly cause of her being the biggest kid and I loved that she was still considered pretty. Her whole thing with her augment kind of explaining some of why how she was how she was is so interesting to me.

(she also was kind of the worst as a child but what I adore about her is how much she can grow, also she actually likes it when you aren’t a yes man.)

I have an urge to do fun typography with exocolonist illustrations but my Adobe fonts weren’t loading on procreate and it’d probably be better just to use illustrator instead but I just kinda fave up for now.

Sans doesn't mind working on his farm alone; he done this many times and besides you done enough as cleaning the house for him. but to you it's not enough, so you went to sans and asked him if you could help him with his farm. "sosanscouldihelpyouonyourfarmnotbecause-" "ok" You kinda regretted asking to help because you were not shaped for farm work. You feel your lower back aching from all the hay dragging and rock lifting you had to do, You did ask for it though. though you struggled you were determined to work. hyping yourself with video game references in your mind fills you with determination. "THIS IS JUST STARDEW VALLEY, THIS IS JUST LIKE MINECRAFT, JUST LIKE MINECRAFT AND STARDEW VALLEY! JUST GOTTA KEEP ON WITH THE GRIND!" once you're finally done, you just flop onto the hay with a groan. your sweaty body makes you want to go to your bed but you were too tired to walk. Eventually sans comes up with a grinning smile as always, you lifted your face to greet him but he beat you to it. i think dean is someone who really panics when he the people he cares about aren’t in his line of sight / presence. like watching people leave (not even in the dramatic sense, like. just leaving the house / where he can see them) freaks him out. he’s gotten used to masking it really well at this point so like. no one knows but it manifests in little controlling actions and anger which obvs is annoying to other people like dean NEEDS to know where sam is going when, when he expects to be back, he NEEDS cas to check in when he’s gone for longer than a few hours and it’s yes, deeply rooted in his abandonment issues but also. extremely rooted in his fear as a child that whenever john walked out the door might be the last....like he literally was a little kid waiting anxiously and scared shitless for his dad to come back from hunts, knowing that it was very very possible he might never come back. like kid dean has bobby and pastor jim’s numbers memorized and knows that if john’s not back / doesn’t check in after three weeks (long, long after the grocery money has run out) he’s supposed to call them. anyways. yeah...so dean seeing someone walk out the door. instantly flooded with anxiety and freeze response

His hair and eye colour are more accurate in the portrait but the sitting one is a good clothing ref. He's either wearing a comfy hoodie or a shirt and a bandana depending on the weather. Usually he's wearing a blue/gold/white palette in other things but the best boots I have are the space ones and the rest of the outfit needed to match better haha. Also I desperately want to believe the space boots are actually galaxy coloured.

When he introduced himself to everyone in town and it turned out there was a child named Vincent living there already the child in question was adorably excited to meet someone that had the same name. It's not that confusing because it's pretty easy to tell when someone is talking to/about adult Vincent and not child Vincent. I picked the grey and white cat for him because the original character has a grey Maine Coon named Misty (she's his ESA).

Also of course he's married to Elliott, he fell for the charming and handsome and silly author who lives on the beach almost instantly.

what you eat has an impact on the environment thats just a fact. how u choose to mitigate that might be trying to use locally sourced produce, it might be growing your own, it might be reducing meat intake, it might be supporting community food initiatives, it might just be buying un-packaged produce or avoiding out-of-season fruit, or maybe ur not in a position to do anything. but stop fucking listening to people who tell you that the other regular people who choose to do a different thing from this list than you do are the enemy to distract you from who’s really creating the problem. if you spend more time railing at vegans than you do at monsanto and cargill and ADM then you’re literally falling into the same trap as someone who makes 40k and complains about the minimum wage being increased

As a fellow fiber crafter (I crotchet), how do you make your 4 in minis? And are you free handing them or altering a preexisting pattern? They look lovely btw.

Well, I started with a pre-existing pattern, and I've altered and freehanded bits and pieces as I went.

The source of the pattern is actually a book of knit animal patterns! I got really, really into knitting tiny animals several years back, and ended up getting multiple installments in the series. The one I've been referencing most for this is "Mini Knitted Farmyard" by Sachiyo Ishii. It's got the base pattern for the person, which I've altered as I liked, as well as for boots, vest, hats, and more. I've been combining these and altering them to best suit the character in question.

Other stuff, though. . . the Octokittens, I combined a pattern off of Ravelry and one for mini octopuses from the same series (different book). The raccoon was also a pattern from that author (again from a different book). Raph's wings came from a fairy pattern in the series, and so on. Different stuff like that!

And then your first question: most of the dolls are entirely knit, with a bit of embroidery to bring them together. There's been a few that have crochet bits (like Jonny's belts, the design on Raph's wings, or Michael's fingers).
