FAN FICTION:
It was supposed to be a cool teenagers' weekend. Some friends decided to travel to an abandoned farm and celebrate together, without any reason at all. They just wanted to have fun and leave their comfort school zone.
As soon as they arrived at the farm, some curious things were spotted. All the animals seemed like they were sleeping, but not moving. Later, the friends realized that no animal was breathing. There was dust everywhere, mainly on a curious wall where a sentence was written behind some scribbles of blood. "ALL ANIMALS ARE STILL EQUAL”. It seemed awkward and scary to read this sentence out of nowhere. Who wrote this? Animals? Was it even possible? And what happened to all of them?
The complete dark silence blocked the friends from thinking about anything that might have happened on that farm. The only thing they knew was that they were not supposed to be there.
While walking around the farm, the friends found a mysterious white coffin with a diary on top of it. Obviously, the frightened curious teenagers sat in a circle, opened the diary and started to read it. It seemed like it was written not a long time ago, but the pages were all ripped and stinky and there were lots of grammar mistakes. But this wasn’t an obstacle for those friends.
“Willingdon, England.
Hello there.
I have no idea who you are, or how you get to this diary. But it doesn’t matter. I’m glad that you are reading this. I wrote this diary for just one person - any person. I want at least one person to understand my reality.
I was part of a farm called Animal Farm. I guess that’s where you are supposed to be standing right now while reading this. But I have no idea if somebody took this diary somewhere. You might be reading this from another continent… Wow. Anyways.
I loved Animal Farm. The concept of an animal revolution triggered me every day to wake up and be nice to everyone. Animalism was my golden word. A concept created by animals to make us feel independent and happy seemed amazing to me! Humans were making us suffer and live our lives stuck in the same place and with the same jobs. And there is so much to discover in this world! I was very happy to finally live free with my comrades. I loved that the animals were also liking me and enjoying my thoughts and ideas of a better farm for all of us.
But my life was not full of flowers and rainbows. One day, Napoleon - our commander - threatened me and exiled me from the farm, precisely when I was the happier version of me. I never understood why this happened. I was one of his best friends, helped the farm system to work every single day, and sang Beasts of England (our anthem) with passion in all our meetings. Why me?
At first, I got so sad I wasn’t able to leave the forest I was hiding in. Every night I could hear Napoleon’s last words echoing in my head: “YOU ARE THE SHAME OF ANIMAL FARM!”. Every night I could hear Napoleon’s steps approaching me and trying to kill me, to take me out of this planet unfairly. Those days were the worst days of my life, I cannot lie.
But now I guess I got over it. For the past months, I spent from the sunrise to the sunset inside Animal Farm hidden from the animals. My desire was to come back to my friends - my family. But I couldn’t. I saw everything since I got exiled from the farm. Napoleon lost control of Animalism and designed a dictatorship so that only his wishes were fulfilled. This is a shame for what we animals wanted. I saw from behind the cameras every single thing that happened on that farm. I know that this was not what all animals wanted. This was not equality anymore.
And I’ve tried my best to help my comrades. As soon as I realized that Napoleon was acting like Mr. Jones, I tried to stop humans from entering the farm - our desired paradise. I’ve tried to talk to neighboring farms, and convince them that trading with Animal Farm was the worst thing that they could do. I even tried to blackmail them, but I didn’t get heard. I never get heard.
I cried when humans entered Animal Farm. I cried when the animals realized they needed humans to live and didn’t come up with any other alternative. I cried when Napoleon announced Boxer’s “death”. I cried when Animal Farm went back to Manor Farm. I cried when the animals realized that what was happening was the complete opposite of what they dreamed of… Everything lost control.
The point is I also lost control. That’s why I’m writing this.
I couldn’t watch Animal Farm transforming into a dictatorship. I couldn’t watch animals suffering again in human hands. This couldn’t happen. I’d rather die than see my comrades enslaved like that.
The only thing I was able to do was revenge. An act of brutal revenge. But revenge for good. For my comrades' good.
I remember Moses telling the Sugarcandy Mountain story lots of times. He wished for a heavenly world. This is what all animals wished - and because of their effort, that’s what they deserved. So I did it myself.
If you are reading this, I am dead. If you are reading this, all my comrades are dead. I did this for good. I really hope that by now we are all happy in Sugarcandy Mountain - happy, free, and together.
It's not fair that animals are suffering and I'm not. It's not fair that animals are dead and I'm not. I killed myself, and all of them. I'm still part of this family. We are always going to be a group. All animals are still equal. If one dies, everyone should die.
I honestly hope you could understand this. I really hope you didn’t see this as an act of terror or violence. I still love Animal Farm. But this wasn’t the Animal Farm. This wasn’t OUR Animal Farm.
I also hope that we can meet in the future - maybe in heaven.
Best regards,
Snowball.”

RUN! THE PIGS ARE COMING OUT
ISABELLA LOPES, MANUELA OSMO, BERNARDO DECOT  What if Napoleon was gay and he had been having an afair with squealer. What if Snowball also had a little fling with Squealer and that would be the actual reason he was kicked out of the farm?  The dogs could be  double agents that were working for Squealer and would demand them to expel anyone who wasn’t pure, resembeling e natzi regime.
Content Rating: T
My Dear Beloved Squealer, You’ve probably noticed that I’m not ruling the sh!tty farm anymore. What am I even saying, of course you did. You must be devastated! Oh and it’s Napoleon by the way. They were good years, my only regret is that those ungrateful sacks of lice found out about us, about me at least. Why would they do that? I mean like, I raised them, gave them the best for a little theatrical protection in return. And that is how they repay me. I feel horrible and don't know if I’ll survive for much longer, so I took a break  to remember the good times, and I have to say that most of them were with you.  Of course there were some rough patches, like when Snowball got between us. Fortunately the problem was quickly resolved, if you know what I mean. I still remember his little legs trying to run for his life. Thank god none of those airheads suspected a thing, they all thought it was about a stupid windmill. And look how crazy, I became fond of  Moses. He was also expelled from the farm. I told him that those things he said about the sugarcandy mountain would lead to trouble. Animalism was the only acceptable ideology. First it was just judging, but it escalated to him being banned. I’m not gonna even talk about the animals that supported him, they didn’t have it easy. I am wondering, how is the farm now? Did the dogs take over? Did they do something to you? I can’t help but feel betrayed, I treated all the animals like kings. To say I gave them my all is an understatement and they did nothing to help me when I needed it. If it wasn’t for me we would still be slaves of the Jones family, or worse, we would be their meals.   I am still shocked with how fast things went. “All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others” I’m pretty sure they forgot about the first part, hippocrates. You were always talking about animalism. Those second class animals were the ones to blame for our problems, not me.  Is there any bad in having a little fun without risking overpopulation? We were actually doing a favor and ensuring everyone had a full-ish plate. I don’t care that it’s unorthodox, we don’t follow the church.  I had never stated that being goy (I think that’s how humans call it)  is wrong. But they thought it was. Those kiss-ass growned up puppies created their militia. How didn’t I realize? Luckily they loved you. Hope you are good now. Good years indeed. Unfortunately all good things come to an end. I really thought that things would start to go south when Snowball made that move on you. However, that only showed how much you love me. And I have to say, the feeling is mutual. My biggest concern is what the pests could have done to you. I’ve said it a lot, but I'll say it again. I hope you are alright, I miss you everyday and I’ll love you till my last breath.
Love, Hunky Boar (my forever favorite nickname)
Squealer folded the letter. He threw half of the bitter cognac of his glass on the paper and drank the rest. He lit up his phosphor and the love caught up in flames.
“Good work, dogs”
The animals were almost the size of wolves, lying on his feet. “Thank you master. God bless the Animal Farm”

˗ˏˋ The Inhabitants of our Blue Planet ˎˊ˗
a comparison and contrast essay by Group 1 of 9-Emerald
in relation to George Orwell’s 1945 novel, Animal Farm . . ₊˚.༄
Tumblr media
Why are living things so special? Why do we value them so much? Are humans and animals alike? There are several resemblances that you might have found between humans and other animals. Both humans and animals feed, sleep, think, and connect. Animals often display behaviors that we'd consider human. Humans and animals work differently in real life but in the novel “Animal Farm” by George Orwell,  that is not the case. [Pamintuan, Reyes, Tumesa].
Who are we people that take up the planet? We humans come from the Homo sapiens species, a highly intelligent kind that originated during a drastic climate change 300,000 years ago. People have logical thinking and reasoning which can be used in engaging in intellectual activities such as arguments, studying, reading, and more, while animals are usually much more driven by their instincts and their goal to be able to eat and adapt in their environment in order to survive. Humans have a brain that is highly evolved, which enables us to do all of these things. [Basa, Reyes, Tumesa].
Tumblr media
In contrast to that, who are these creatures that roam our planet? They are the colorful, furry, fuzzy, and unique animals of course! There are 8.7 million different kinds of animals, yet they are all uniquely different from one another. Some can walk on four legs, while others can walk on two legs like us. Although they cannot speak verbally like us, there are still many animals that are extremely intelligent. They can understand us, and even if they cannot talk to us in our language, they use gestures and sounds to communicate with us and also to other animals. [Basa, Batac, Reyes, Tumesa].
Tumblr media
Perhaps we are a lot more similar to animals than we may think. We have many resemblances. Both of us need oxygen in order to breathe, and we need to eat food in order to survive since it is one of our main needs. They get their food or survive differently but both exert great efforts. Us human beings work hard to earn money and buy the things that you need to stay alive such as food and shelter. On the other hand, most animals, specifically those who are in the wild, search for their food and do not have a shelter like us humans do, they have a habitat–a tree, cave, water, etc. Us humans also need to create offspring to avoid extinction and continue our bloodline just like animals, and for the females who give birth they also tend to obtain their “maternal instinct”. Both get through and adapt to their environment differently, but in the end we all have one shared goal, and that is aiming to survive in this vast world we call home. Maybe we need to pay more attention to what animals are doing, and try to view the world through their eyes. [Basa, Batac, Pamintuan, Reyes, Tumesa].
Tumblr media
What makes this related to Animal Farm? The book Animal Farm shows how the animals survived under the human owner of the farm as well as under the pigs’. In the story why do the pigs act like humans as the story continues? The story shows that the pigs are evil, corrupted leaders who only care about themselves. They are greedy for a lot of things, but mainly for power and wealth, and they showed their greed by the things they have done like manipulating their own people. Throughout the story the pigs start to become more and more like the humans until they become similar to the humans like walking on hind legs. [Cuellar, Reyes].
Some examples of the similarities and differences between humans and animals that can be found in the novel “Animal Farm”:
Let us take into consideration the final chapter of Animal Farm. The animals are not supposed to be acting like humans, but you can see Napoleon, Squealer, and the other pigs on their hind legs walking like humans. [Tumesa].
Sugarcandy Mountain symbolizes heaven in Animal Farm. It is where the animals go once they pass. Moses mentioned that the Sugarcandy Mountain is located in the sky. Lump sugar and linseed cake grew on hedges. Pain and suffering does not exist there. No working too, which the animals were very excited about.  It was Sunday seven times a week.  This made the animals motivated to work harder. [Hilomen].
They (animals) do not sleep in a bed, drink alcohol, and so much more that was written in the Commandments but in the late chapters, the pigs started sleeping in beds and drinking, and in the last chapter, they were seen standing on both feet, just like humans. [Basa].
The animals in this story represent different kinds of people in real life except these kinds of people are animals. First there are the inferior ones who only work for the ones who have the higher power and authority. They do as they are told by their superiors. Then there are the superior leaders. The ones who are in charge over the inferior animals. The choices of the leader may affect the community in a good way or in a bad way. But in “Animal Farm” the leaders are the pigs, the highest one which is Napoleon. [Cuellar].
Both parties (animals and humans) are greedy. They are greedy for a lot of things, but mainly for power and wealth, and they showed their greed by the things they have done like manipulating their own people. [Reyes].
The story shows that the pigs are evil, corrupted leaders who only care about themselves. Throughout the story the pigs start to become more and more like the humans until they become similar to the humans like walking on hind legs. [Cuellar].
Tumblr media
In conclusion, the inhabitants of our blue planet are similar to each other but they live differently. We share some of the same needs, and some of us have the same personalities. The way people think is much more complex than that of the animals whose main goal in their lives is to live. No matter what our differences are, we all have the same goal which is surviving in this vast world that we call home. We humans and animals alike, live and thrive for as long as we can, while waiting for the impending end that all of us will receive. Since we are only  creatures that are only passing by in this world, we will soon leave this planet and ascend to Heaven, the place where we believe that we are destined to go after fulfilling our mission on earth. In the novel, “Animal Farm'', they referred to it as the “Sugarcandy Mountain” where all animals went once they passed. All of us are living beings living our different lives, but in the end, we are just doing our best to do one thing and that is to survive. [Basa, Batac, Cuellar, Hilomen, Pamintuan, Reyes, Tumesa].

English Essay Blog
Main Theme: Locations and Ideas compared and contrasted
 Chanco’s Essay:
  The Heavens
Many people believe in heaven as a place where people go when we die and the idea originated from the religion christianity around 30 to 35 AD. The farm animals believe that there is a place similar to the paradise of Christianity in some cases called Sugarcandy mountain. Much like other religions Christianity believes in a God that lives in heaven whereas the animals from the farm don’t follow a specific religion and do not have a certain being of power in Sugarcandy mountain.
Tumblr media
Most of the knowledge of Heaven comes from the passages of the Bible, a book which talks about practices of Christianity, while Sugarcandy Mountain comes from a bird named Moses, a tamed raven that spreads stories about their paradise. The Bible talks about how people will be happy or content with their situation in Heaven which is also the case with Sugarcandy mountain as it has many properties that favor the animals. Though these places are told by different people, the places themselves may or may not even exist in their universes.
In Orwell’s depiction of Heaven, Sugarcandy mountain has sugar treats growing on their hedges alongside the season always being the season of clover whereas Heaven may or may not even have these things due to nothing of the sort being stated in the Bible. Both depictions of after-death paradise are said to be in the skies or the “heavens” as some may say.
Tumblr media
Though rather obvious, Sugarcandy mountain in Orwell’s book is said to be the paradise for the animals to subside, while in real life, the Bible states that humans may go to heaven when they pass away. In Orwell’s book, there was no stated opposite to paradise other than it being possibly their mortal lives while the Bible talks of a place called “Hell” which is a place you go to when one suffers for the sins they have committed in their lives.
In Orwell’s book, Moses would say these tales of Sugarcandy Mountain but the pigs would try to persuade the animals that there is no such place that exists but instead is nothing but a fairy tale. The Communist party writings from Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin  say that the idea of religion is “the opiate of the people” and they decided to ban the religion and persecute anyone that  practices said religion.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, both humans and animals in each universe have a place that they can call paradise when they die.
Mariano’s Essay:
 The Windmill
In Animal farm pigs are the leaders of the farm. The pigs have full control of all the animals and are the leaders. One pig, Napoleon, did a lot of bad things that would lead to the downfall of Animal Farm.
Tumblr media
Animal farm’s leader is Napoleon and he is equivalent to Stalin in the USSR. The two characters are both corrupt and manipulate their community in very bad ways. The two are much alike.
In the farm, there was a windmill. The windmill was made because it promised the farm animals that they would have to only work for 3 days a week once it gets finished. The plan was originally by Snowball, another pig.
The windmill symbolizes the manipulation done by the pigs for their own benefit. Napoleon was the one who added corruption when getting the windmill built.
Tumblr media
The windmill is very similar to slavery centuries ago. In Africa, a lot of black people were enslaved and were forced to make work for landlords with back-breaking work and abuse them.
George Orwell wrote Animal Farm as a cautionary fable to expose the dangers posed by Stalin and the totalitarian government. The government tried to do something about this because they don’t want Orwell to expose the truths of the totalitarian government. The totalitarian government wasn’t successful in stopping Orwell as Orwell denied the claims. Orwell’s main message in the book is that if you have power, you will eventually become corrupt at some point.
The small things in Animal Farm can relate to real life issues. I think Orwell did a good job at writing the book and I think it’s pretty good. Slavery and corruption is bad and harmful for the society.
Sarmiento’s Essay:
 Sugarcandy mountain and Heaven
What is Sugarcandy Mountain and heaven, Sugarcandy Mountain is told to be a paradise where animals go to after death. Heaven is told to be a different realm in which dead people go to, it is also a place that has a ruler called God. A big similarity Heaven and Sugarcandy Mountain have is they are both a paradise to which the dead go to.
Tumblr media
The Differences that Heaven has from Sugarcandy Mountain is Heaven has a ruler, other known as a supreme being, This supreme being is the creator of all and the ruler of heaven. He is the person that you have to worship in order to pass through the gates of heaven. Heaven also has a counterpart which is called hell. Another difference that Heaven has is you must not be a sinner, in other words you must not be a person who does bad things.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile the difference that Sugarcandy Mountain has from Heaven is Sugarcandy Mountain does not have a ruler, meaning that Sugarcandy Mountain is a free land where all is allowed to enter without worshipping a certain being. While Heaven has a counterpart which is called hell, Sugarcandy Mountain does not have one.Sugarcandy mountain also does not have any requirements at all in entering, unlike heaven which has a lot of requirements.
The similarities between Sugarcandy Mountain and Heaven is both Heaven and Sugarcandy Mountain is a place where the dead go to, they are also both called paradise. Both Sugarcandy Mountain and heaven are said to be found above the clouds, but Sugarcandy Mountain is said to be a “mysterious country” while heaven is a “different realm”.
In conclusion, Sugarcandy Mountain and Heaven may have their similarities and differences but at the end of the day, they are both places in which are called paradise and also a place the dead goes to. A personal opinion that I have is both Heaven and Sugarcandy Mountain are wonderful places in which the people/animals will look forward to after death.
Angeles’ Essay:
Animal Farm and the Russian Revolution
Animal Farm is similar to the Russian Revolution. Animal Farm was written by George Orwell during World War II back in 1945. George wrote this book to expose the Soviet Union by writing it in a way the more people would understand. The characters' personalities and identities were made similar to the people George Orwell wanted to make fun of.
Tumblr media
The Animal farm is similar to the Russian Revolution. When it was the tie of the Russian Revolution, people believed in heaven but before that, Karl Marx said that religion was something created to brainwash people or was created so people could be productive. This is similar to Animal Farm because people during the Russian revolution believed in heaven, just like the animals believed in Sugarcandy Mountain. It is also similar because in Animal Farm, Moses was talking about being in a better place, he’d tell the animals that if they worked hard, they would go to a better place similar to what Karl Marx did.
Tumblr media
Animal Farm is just like the Russian Revolution because of both their perspective. Both of them has something to do with Communism which is called Animalism in Animal Farm. Animalism is acting like an animal physically and mentally. Another reason why Anime Farm and the Russian revolution was similar is because of Old Major, Snowball, and Napoleon. They are the leaders of the Animal Farm, In the Russian Revolution, there is Karl Marx, Leon Trotsky and Joseph stalin. All of them are very similar. Old Major and Karl Marx taught Animalism and Communism which is similar. They both died when the revolution took place.
Tumblr media
Snowball is intelligent, a good speaker, and is young. Snowball was chased into exile by Napoleon’s dogs. Just like Leon Trotsky, he was one of the leaders of the revolution, he wanted to improve the lives of the people in Russia, and was chased away by Lenin’s guards which is very similar to Snowball being chased away by Napoleon’s dogs. Napoleon and Joseph Stallin were not good speakers and they both aren’t the smartest leaders either. They both didn’t follow other leaders ideas and was only in it for the power. They both also killed their opponents, used their guards which is also Napoleon’s dogs.
Tumblr media
Sevilla’s Essay:
Among Farms and Civilization
Manor Farm and Russia are alike because of their similarities. Animal Farm, known at the beginning and the end of the novel as the Manor Farm, symbolizes Russia and the Soviet Union under Communist Party rule.  Russia, or the Russian Federation, is a transcontinental country located in Eastern Europe and Northern Asia.
Manor farm and Russia both had poor leaders, in Manor farm Mr. Jones was cruel and brutal to the animals and was often drunk. In Russia Czar Nicholas II was cruel and brutal to the opponents.
Tumblr media
In the Manor Farm they had animalism where they believed that animals should be treated equally. Moses was the one who spreads stories about the Sugarcandy Mountain, it is a place where dead animals go.  In Russia they believed in communism. Russian Orthodoxy was the religion Russia believed in.
Tumblr media
In the Manor Farm, Mr. Jones neglects the animals, he does not feed the animals and is usually drinking. Czar Nicholas II was a weak and indecisive leader, during his reign the Russian people experienced poverty.
In conclusion the Manor farm and Russia may have similarities and differences but they both had bad leaders who did not know how to properly lead a community.

Vision from the above
Synopsis:
What if the prophecy of Moses, Jones's special pet, was true? What could have happened if the animals had believed that the Sugarcandy mountain was real? As he flies in the sky and sees the execution, Moses will be telling you how the outcome for the animals’ lives could have been, if instead of mocking him and calling him crazy, everyone had listened. Check it out in the following poem!
Vision from the above
Cutting through the clouds
As I flew through the sky,
I looked down to see an execution,
an execution where my friends would die.
Standing all alone,
In front of the crowd,
Going through excruciating pain;
As Napoleon stood proud.
For protecting their eggs,
For stocking some food;
Who could have predicted,
Our leader could be so rude.
The unfamiliar smell of blood
That hadn't been in the air for a while
They were finally realizing
How their dictator was vile
As their lives were being taken,
And their corps were being piled;
Looks like Sugarcandy Mountain,
Was the only place they would smile.
If only they had believed me,
When I said paradise wasn't on earth.
But they'll have another chance,
And in SugarCandy they'll rebirth.
The pigs repeating history
From the man I once was the special pet
Cause these animals victory
Meant danger from the very outset
I hear their desperate cries,
But the pain won't last long.
I'll see them again in SugarCandy Mountain
Where they truly belong
Everyday will be Sunday,
When they won't have to work
Clover season is all year round
And happiness will be found
It's the place they expected
As they took over the farm
And instead of being disrespected
They'll finally be able to laugh
As my story have been told
I'm now going to welcome the new guests
Try to tranquilize them by saying
This is the place you will be able to rest
I fear for my friends who stayed
Napoleon has a thirst for power
And I don't think it'll soon fade
Not when they're all under his command.
And I pray for those who're coming,
For them, heaven awaits;
Here they'll all be happy,
And even restore their faiths.

Sugarcandy Mountain
Synopsis:
What if Sugarcandy Mountain really existed in the world of Animal Farm? What if Moses was right? After Boxer passed away, he went to this kind of paradise that is a representation of everything the animals always wanted, with unlimited food and Sunday seven days a week. When he got there, he met someone very special, that could change everything on the animal farm. What is going to happen? Is the farm going to be the same after this meeting? Who is this animal?
Fan fiction:
Boxer woke up in a place that he had never seen before, a painless place where everything was beautiful. There were birds singing, a big field with green grass, flowers everywhere, marshmallows all over the floor, and a sign in front of him where he could read “Sugarcandy Mountain''. He was so confused at the moment, asking himself “Why am I here? What is this place?”. Then, he suddenly remembered Moses saying to him “there is a mysterious place called Sugarcandy Mountain to where all animals go when they die. It is situated somewhere up in the sky, a little distance beyond the clouds. In Sugarcandy Mountain it is Sunday seven days a week, clover was in season all the year round, and lump sugar and linseed cake grew on the hedges”. Now, Boxer was so confused, he didn’t know anymore what was true and what was not. Then suddenly, far away from him, he saw Old Major, next to a chocolate waterfall. He was actually dead.
“Boxer, what are you doing here? I didn’t expect you to be here with me so soon,” said Old major.
“Neither did I”, said Boxer.
“How did it happen?”
"Actually, I don't remember very well. The last thing that comes to my mind is me leaving Animal Farm. I need to go back, I need to finish the windmill!"
“Well, that won’t happen, for this day on, you will just rest. How are things going in Animal Farm?”
“After you passed away, we made a revolution against Mr. Jones, and it was successful!! Things were very good, animals were happy, except for Molly. She complained all the time. Snowball and Napoleon were in charge of ruling the farm, but, sometimes, they disagreed.”
“Snowball! I miss him!”
“I miss him too! The last time that I saw him, we were in an assembly, but Napoleon expelled him, then he never returned. Napoleon told us it was for our own good, so I believed him. Things started to get a little deeper, the dogs really frightened all of us. If we refused to do something, Napoleon called the dogs. Sometimes, animals got hurt, but it was his way to demonstrate that he loved us, he just wanted us to do the right thing. But the thing that I really miss is singing the Beast of England, I love that song…”
“Boxer, you’ve always been a loyal and hardworking animal on the farm, but you need to see the truth in what you are saying. Napoleon is taking control of the farm in a bad way. To be a real leader, you need to stand with the others, not make them do things out of fear.”
“Oh my God! I didn't realize that, I thought he wanted our good, but if you are saying, I believe in you, you are our real leader.”
“That’s why I need to come back, I can’t let things be how they are. ‘
“But how? That’s impossible!”
“Kid, I have my ways.”
After that, both of them went to sleep.
On the next day, Boxer woke up, went for a walk and met some animals nearby from the lollipop bridge:
“Good morning everyone!”, said Boxer
“Good morning”, said the Rat.
“Good morning, I heard that Old Major came back to life last night, is that true?”, said the Duck
“Yeah, I think it’s true, everyone is talking about it.”, said the Rat.
“Wait, is Old Major back to life?!”, asked Boxer.
“Yes! That’s what I heard”, said the Duck.
At that moment, Boxer realized that everything was about to change.

all animals are gay but some animals are gayer than others
Sofia Gutt and Letícia Moura
Synopsis:
What if Benjamin and Boxer were a couple? Well, that's what happened. But do you think Napoleon would only sit and approve their love? No. Our fanfic puts you inside Napoleon’s mind, showing his deepest fears, emotions and the reasons behind his actions. So it”s a mix of past, while telling Napoleon’s backstory, and present, showing how the farm reacts to a gay relationship. To learn about all the trauma behind this important character and to get to know Boxer and Benjamin a bit better, read our full story here.
A beautiful spring afternoon. The farm was finally at peace. Everyone was happy because now they would be able to have food, and not were not starving, like how it happened during the winter. But some animals were happier than others. Boxer and Benjamin were enjoying their afternoon together.
The relationship between them was not oficial, but the gossip spoke for itself. Nobody said anything, but the two animals were always wondering: if our relationship was public, would Napoleon accept us?
Napoleon had always been a hard part of their relationship. Boxer thought he was such an inspiring leader, who would do anything to make their lives easier and better overall. Benjamin, however, was more skeptical, and didn’t trust the leader. He was always telling Boxer to stop believing and working endlessly for Napoleon.
chapter 1
As always, Napoleon was sitting on his bed, sipping on Mr Jone’s most expensive wine, just chilling. That’s when, out of nowhere, Squealer entered the room, running, out of breath.
NAPOLEON! NAPOLEON! - he yelled - You won’t believe what I just witnessed! Boxer and Benjamin are a couple!
Napoleon immediately spat out all his wine. The bedsheet was ruined.
WAIT, does that mean that they are a GAY couple- he said, with tears on his eyes
I’m afraid so, master
I need to deal with this immediately! This is absolutely unacceptable!
Yes… unacceptable…- Squealer responded without much conviction.
chapter 2
On their way to the emergency meeting, all the animals were trying to guess what was going on. Benjamin was the only one to even consider and realize that the meeting could be about him and Benjamin. He did notice Napoleon looking at them weird, but no one else seemed to see that.
The walls were painted with black, white and gray. This reminded Benjamin of when he was at school and he drew straight flags to pretend to be straight.
All animals went inside the barn, and, for a minute, everyone was silent. And then Napoleon finally said:
Comrades, it has come to my attention that homossexual tendencies have been happening on the farm. This is unexceptable. We do not accept this kind of behavior. This will not do any good for us. IF you see anything related to this issue, you must report it immediately. I do understand that there are beautiful animals. I myself would be tempted to act a certain way, if I were part of this movement. Not that I am… I'm just saying, I understand the temptation, however, we must follow the principles. We all know that this type of behavior gets us out of the sugarcandy mountain when we die.
The animals were very confused with this last statement. Wasn't Napoleon against the tales of sugarcandy mountain? However this preoccupation quickly disappeared when Squealer came to speak with them and cleared up the issue.
chapter 3
Boxer comes to Benjamin:
He 's right! Darling, he's right! - he said, enthusiastically -  We must find the homossexuals that have been disturbing the farm! How could someone even do this?
Hmmm… I’m afraid they were referring to our relationship, my love
But… ummm. We… we’re not… we’re not… homo-... homossexual.. ri- right???????? - That’s when he started crying - But we’re not homosexuals, we’re not doing any harm to the farm, are we? - now he was worried- Wait, are you saying that we’re being mean to them?
I'm not saying anything, Napoleon said those horrible things
Well, if he's saying that, it must be true! Napoleon is always right! WE MUST WORK HARDER!!!!
My love, this doesn’t work like this, we cannot control such things- he said, with anger in his eyes - if you keep believing everything Napoleon says blindly, this will not work! - that was the first time Boxer saw him showing that much emotion- You have to choose! Me or  Napoleon?
Hmmm - he said - I have to think… I mean, Napoleon is responsible for the farm surviving!
He left. He just left. Leaving the love of his life alone. Benjamin just got up and left. Each one of them spent the rest of the evening crying, uncertain of the future. Couldn’t they just be happy? No, Napoleon wouldn’t allow that.
chapter 4
Napoleon’s point of view:
No one's gonna know. They’re gonna know. How will they know?
I never let myself think too much about this subject but, I mean, it is normal to think other men animals are extremely attractive. Right? That doesn’t mean anything. Definitely lol. I'm just overthinking. No big deal
LMAOOO why did I even think about this?????? OMG CRINGE
Okay now seriously: since I was a child, it was common sense that gay couples were unacceptable. My parents made sure I knew that. They used to say I was “different from the other pigs”, but not in your usual way.
Flashbacks start of my father. Anger on his eyes. The violence stuck with me forever. Tears start to fall, I try my best to avoid it. It doesn't matter. I don't even care. Please, dear Squealer don't come in now. I would hate it if he saw me like this. I stop crying. My parents built who I am today. Strong. Independent. A true leader. I guess I could tell you the truth. Afterall, those are only thoughts. I don’t really think they would make a big difference. Okay, I really do hate to admit this, but I hate my parents. I mean, they’re dead now but I still hate them. You know, I’ve always thought that I was different, but they didn’t allow me to feel that way.  But, at the same time, I could never admit that I hated them because, at the end of the day, they made me the leader I am today, and I could never run the farm and implement the changes I have, without their strict education.
I do realize that this made me never really think about who I am as an individual, but they used to say that what matters is the legacy you leave behind. I basically built this farm. So I guess this means my legacy will mean something.
I guess I must leave these weird feelings behind in order to run the farm more effectively.
chapter 5
Boxer was strolling around the farm, alone this time. He wondered what put him in that situation. Just yesterday, he was extremely happy, but then this whole homossexual thing came into the farm and now his situation was completely changed. Benjamin told him Napoleon was wrong, Benjamin said they were the homossexuals, and that was just fine. But Napoleon was supposed to be always right. His whole life, as long as he could remember, he knew he could trust Napoleon. Now, everything was different, and he didn’t know what to do.
He thought many times of going after Benjamin, but he didn’t have the courage to do so. Even though he saw that he left because he was very upset with the whole situation, he didn’t really get it and felt upset.
Then, Clover pulled him aside and asked him what was wrong. He told her, with no filter, as she had always been like a mother to him. Clover felt very bad for him, and tried to explain, as well as she could, what Napoleon’s discourse meant. Boxer was heartbroken and didn’t believe Napoleon could say such things. As he realized what was actually happening, Boxer decided to go after Benjamin, after all, and try to make things better.
chapter 6
Napoleon’s point of view:
Like always, I had a lot on my mind. You would normally assume that, since I’m the leader, I spend most of my time doing nothing. But that’s not actually true. I think. All the time. Actually, I overthink, a lot. On these moments, I always have Squealer by my side. He makes my days when I’m worried about the future. I hate it. It makes me a hypocrite. It makes me gay. This situation made me think a lot. Why do I see gay as a bad thing? Who made me believe that being gay is something negative?
Comrade, are you okay? - he said. His sweet voice filling the room
I guess my face expression showed way too much of my emotions
Yeah, sure, it’s just that… - What was I going to say? Could I just say that every night I go to sleep and he is the only one I think about? That my day is only good if he stays by my side? That the thing I worry the most about is him thinking of me as a dictator? I swear, God knows I swear, I would not do any harm to him. I swear, I swear…
Sir… sir? Are…are you crying?
I’m sorry…
That’s when I kissed him. I felt everything and nothing at the same time. I had nothing to lose. If he didn’t approve this, I would have to kill him. But, he kept going. He made me feel as if I was the most important animal in the world. We kept kissing until I stopped it.
Do you think this is wrong? - I said
Comrade, I don't know if this is some kind of test, but I need to be honest with you. I do have feelings for you. I’ve tried to hide it, I’ve done everything in my power to stop having these feelings. But I see beyond you. I get you, I do hope that, if any of this is true, that you accept you for who you truly are and that you get me too.
Ohhh, I’m so so sorry! I would never test you like this - I said and then I agreed with him - Okayyy, maybe I would. But you mean the world to me, I think, hum I think… I think I love you.
I love you too, master.
Please call me Napoleon
chapter 7
After looking around the farm for the whole afternoon, Boxer finally found Benjamin in a corner of the barn. The walls all around had Napoleon’s new rules written in them. Benjamin couldn’t help but forgive Boxer. After all, he really loved him. He could see now that Boxer actually tried hard to understand what bothered him. He saw he really had changed as Boxer took the cans of paint that were hidden around and handed Benjamin a paintbrush. Together, they repainted the whole place as Benjamin finally got the chance to explain to Boxer how he felt about the whole situation and how what Napoleon was doing was bad.
They were back to normal. Back together. But definitely not the same. Both of them learned a lot, Boxer especially, and realized life is not as easy as walks in the spring and working the harvest. They also realized what they had was worth fighting for, and if there were difficulties, they would go through them together. Together, they could confront Napoleon and deal with the consequences in case it didn’t work. Together, all of it didn’t matter, and Boxer and Benjamin would never let Napoleon get in their way again.

Book Recommendations #2
Animal Farm - George Orwell
This was a little bit late, I finished this in 3 days but didn't post it right away, I'm sorry for that
Synopsis: a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, the rebellion is betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon.
Genre: Allegory, Satire, Novella, Political Satire, Roman à clef, Dystopian Fiction
Rating (out of five): 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷
Notes: I cannot put in words how much I enjoyed this book. A story about farm animals who turn into communists. Is there a better storyline than that? I think this was banned in the Soviet Union at some point, I’m not sure I’ll have to double-check that later. George Orwell will forever be one of my top ten favorite authors of all time.
Favorite Character: Alright so I had three favorite characters, Moses the Raven, Boxer, and Benjamin. I admire Boxer’s motivation, but not to the extent. He’s so motivated that he works himself to death. I was very sad about that. I thought Moses the Raven was just funny. There’s no real purpose why he’s on this list lmao. He keeps talking about “SugarCandy Mountain” but doesn’t any of the animals at work. And Benjamin because he’s basically the “I hate everyone but you” trope except he’s a donkey and it’s just Bromance between him and Boxer.
Recommended Audiobook:
Quote(s): “All Animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.”

Animal Farm is a novel written by George Orwell that is satirical to Russia under the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R.). It was ruled by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (C.P.S.U.), and they were formerly known as the Bolshevik Party before changing the name of the party a few times. The characters in Animal Farm have a representation to people that played a significant role in Russian history. Napoleon, who is a one of the main characters in the novel, is a representation of Joseph Stalin in real life. He was a violent dictator of the U.S.S.R. during his supremacy because he used brutal ways to govern the people, leading to millions of their deaths. This essay will discuss two of their similarities first then two of their differences (Mullen et al., 2019).
The first similarity between Napoleon and Joseph Stalin is that they are both dictators who are hungry for power. They both wanted to be the only leader who governs the land, and they achieved this by eliminating their rivals who are a threat to their rising power. Napoleon got rid of Snowball from Animal Farm by chasing him away with his police force, consisting of trained nine dogs, and in the same manner, Stalin expelled Leon Trotsky from the C.P.S.U., forcing him to exile and to settle in Mexico (Florman, 2013; “How Joseph Stalin became the leader of the Soviet Union,” 2020; “Joseph Stalin VS Napoleon,” n.d.; Mullen et al., 2019).
The second similarity between Napoleon and Joseph Stalin is that they rule brutally with the use of violence. They exterminated those who opposed them. Napoleon executed the animals who confessed that they conspired against him, and similarly, Stalin established the “Great Purge” which are campaigns that aim to eliminate people whom he considers as a threat. In addition, this strongly shows that Napoleon and Stalin want unwavering loyalty from their subjects, and they enforce intimidation to gain their trust. Both of them also attempted to rewrite history thus spreading false information through propaganda (Florman, 2013; “Joseph Stalin VS Napoleon,” n.d.; Mullen et al., 2019).
The first difference between Napoleon and Joseph Stalin is their view of religion. Napoleon and the other pigs deplore the idea of Sugarcandy Mountain, which is heaven in Animal Farm, but they still allowed Moses to stay in the farm and even gave him his rations without requiring him to work. This contrasts to Stalin who declared that the U.S.S.R. is an atheist republic, and therefore, he persecuted people of all faiths (Holland, n.d.).
The second difference between Napoleon and Joseph Stalin is their idea of the revolution. Napoleon states that the revolution is already finished, and he also makes an attempt to remove evidence of the farm’s history, the rebellion, and Animalism. On the other hand, Stalin continues to pursue and to purge the impure elements in the society and the state (Holland, n.d.).
In conclusion, George Orwell spectacularly developed Napoleon’s character in the novel in such a way that he strongly represents Joseph Stalin. The characteristics and events of both subjects are very similar to each other although there are also some notable differences as well. Orwell’s choice for Napoleon to be a pig may symbolize the idea of greed, and this gives the reader an idea of Stalin’s character and nature as well as how he governed Russia during his prime (“Joseph Stalin VS Napoleon,” n.d.).

“In the middle of the summer Moses the raven suddenly reappeared on the farm, after an absence of several years. He was quite unchanged, still did no work, and talked in the same strain as ever about Sugarcandy Mountain. He would perch on a stump, flap his black wings, and talk by the hour to anyone who would listen. "Up there, comrades," he would say solemnly, pointing to the sky with his large beak−"up there, just on the other side of that dark cloud that you can see−there it lies, Sugarcandy Mountain, that happy country where we poor animals shall rest for ever from our labours!" He even claimed to have been there on one of his higher flights, and to have seen the everlasting fields of clover and the linseed cake and lump sugar growing on the hedges. Many of the animals believed him. Their lives now, they reasoned, were hungry and laborious; was it not right and just that a better world should exist somewhere else? A thing that was difficult to determine was the attitude of the pigs towards Moses. They all declared contemptuously that his stories about Sugarcandy Mountain were lies, and yet they allowed him to remain on the farm, not working, with an allowance of a gill of beer a day.” -George Orwell, “Animal Farm” (at Lexington Battle Green) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-5A6lXHE8X/?igshid=2vga3apel95v
