Lex: Can't a man ask about his baby sister poor life choices?

Lena: No. And it's not what you are doing anyway.

Lex: And what in god's name is it that I'm doing?

Lena: You know I spoke with mom and you are trying to mimic her homophobic talking points so you can pretend the reason you are mad is that I'm dating a woman and not that you are jealous that I got to date Supergirl while the closest you got to Superman was a hyper controled punch.

Lex: I'm not doing that! And I do resent the acusation! I'm merely concerd about what people will think of the Luthor's name when-

Lena: Fuck off. You hate people. The last time you cared about what people were saying was when they compared you to Elon Musk and that is a massive insult. Before that you were twelve.

Lex: Mayhaps. But there is the question of money.

Lena: I don't think we can ever lose enough money to stop being the 1%. It's actually concerning and we should at least pay more taxes...

Lex: Uh... Actually I think you should not be with woman because god doesn't like it! Yeah. That's it! Nothing to do with Superman at all.

Lena: *laughs* The last time you even sugested the existence of a god you were high, had not took your meds in a while and was talking about how you were a god and would become the only one soon. Please.

Lex: Maybe I'm merely preparing you to deal with mother.

Toddler!Conner: *wobbles into the room* Dada!

Lena: *baby talk to Conner* Who is this cutie? * to Lex* No, really who is this child?

Lex: *avoiding eye contact* Surely not a artifically made baby I created with mine and Superman's stolen DNA and am now raising.

Lex: I did not! For your information he was supposed to be a weapon of mass destruction to protect Earth when Superman finally failed like we all know he will.

I suspect there’s a lot of things Lex does that Clark just pretends not to see because it’s so much better than another Kryptonian superweapon fiasco.

Kara: *very very nervous* *on the phone*Lena! I have a situation.

Lena: What happened? How can I help?

Kara: Remember that I decided to take you nephew for a flight.

Lena: Yes? Did something happened to Conner?

Kara: I droped him. He kept asking and I though I would be abble to just catch him middle flight but there was a stupid bird and *crying* Lena... I think he is dead.

Lena: Oh he is fine.

Kara: I... Look I understand that denial is hard, babe. And I also understand if you never want to see me again. I'll just try to find the body at least.

Lena: He really is fine. You should know kriptonians are like suuuper invulnerable.

Kara: Yes, but Conner is human. Right?

Conner, right on cue, completly fine on a crater on the floor of an empty Deli's parking lot: *gigling* Hi, auntie Kara, it was soo fun. I was scared when you droped me but then I feel and it barely hurt and I want it again!

Kara: Lena?? Did you forgot to tell me something?

Lena: Ooh! That... *akward laugh* Uh... so... my brother might have bioengeneered Kon by mixing his and Superman's DNA.

Kara: And why didn't you tell me?

Lena: Look Conner likes his life and being a father is doing wonders for Lex. He didn't got himself into shaddy bussinnes in two months, he has spent a whole week without trash talking Superman even once and I'm including Clark Kent, he is almost a year crime free. I think he is starting to say "thank you" and "please" and actually take his meds! And I was afraid that if you knew you would try to separate them.

Kara: Okay. You know it is not Conner responsability to turn your brother into a better person, right? Just like it isn't yours.

Lena: I know. But Lex is a good dad. Conner adores him and Lex is crazy for his kid, he is super proud and always takes time to spend with Conner and he is patient with him and maybe spoils him a bit too much but is nothing drastic. Please don't separate them.

Kara: I just wanted to make sure you know that. You spent too much time holding the burden of feeling like you should to turn your mother into a better person and I don't want you to go back to this mentality again and even less put Conner into it.

Lena: I'm not. I promise. If Conner ever feels like that, I'll make sure to stop it however I can.

Kara: Good. So I have a second cousin. Huh?

Lena: *smiles* Yeah.

Kara: I should probably tell Clark about him, right?

Lena: *tense* Yes, it's the right thing to do.

Kara: I really should.

Lena: Yes. You should.

Kara: Reaaally should.

Lena: You're not gonna do it. Are you?

Kara: He ate all my cookies.

Rainy Day, No TTK (Supercorp + Superboy AU Short Comic)

This idea spawned from rereading the 1998 Young Justice comics and falling back in love with everything in it. I love the little details of Kon’s little mundane uses of Tactile Telekinesis. In the beginning of issue 19, the team crashes when it's raining and everyone else is soaking wet besides Greta, who is a ghost, and Kon, who is using his TTK to prevent getting himself and his beautiful hair all wet. It is such a small little detail that is so enjoyable because that totally is something he would end up finding out he could do with his projected forcefield. (I’ll put some in canon examples below)

I liked the idea of young Kon finding out he can do this with TTK and Lena and Kara both weren't prepared for some of the more creative uses of his non Kryptonian based ability. Kara was prepared to help with the Kryptonian abilities but TTK is definitely a surprise package of an ability. He’s still a bit oblivious to how they need to go about using their powers and where and when its appropriate. I really wanted to draw Kara and Lena being adorable and endearing young parents trying to navigate how to raise this half alien kid with a big personality and too much sass to go around (which he will gradually grow into over time after he gets used to living with them).

Kara has been a great help with teaching Kon how to handle small things with super strength and now that he can do so without hurting anything, the boy can’t stop trying to pet or hold almost every animal he sees. The world is just so new to him and he’s seeing every animal for the first time. Kara probably remembers being young and still gripping with not being able to go back to Krypton but the wildlife of earth was so new to her she probably appreciated it or at least found it fascinating. Especially if things got to overwhelming she could find somewhere away from people like in a forest to collect herself.

Kon is pretty good at keeping to the rules of not using his powers in public but he couldn’t help it when he saw a kitten in the rain. He had to use TTK to shield it so it didn’t get any colder.

Clark, having a mental breakdown about this artificially made-by-Lex pseudo-clone-son (Clark’s mentality in the beginning of my AU): “We just don’t know how dangerous he could be. We don't know if we can have him around humans, especially my family.”

Lena, deadpanned and painfully sarcastic: “Yeah. Because nothing says dangerous bio weapon made for nefarious purposes like a child in a ducky raincoat and frog rain boots.”

Some examples of Kon-El using TTK as an invisible makeshift full-body umbrella (I miss this dork so much). I can’t get over how much personality you can tell this kid has from his body posture alone. This little trouble maker totally deserves parents and a home!!! I will die on this hill.

Kara/Lena adopt Superboy AU Notes (Part 1)

I’m finally delivering on the content for this Supercorp AU

This is a Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor and Superboy (Kon-El) centric story. Specifically focused on exploration of one's identity and how you define yourself with the many aspects of your life and choices you made as well as what you consider important and precious to you. The effects of being constrained by how you were born and finding those who love you for who you are and don't ask you to change the core of your being to fit in. — this is not an action packed story at all.

Here are some of the ideas I have for this or things I thought Kon had in common with Lena and Kara that I find compelling.

Lena concepts:

Lena gets to know another Luthor, her biological nephew, who isn’t a trash person and is someone to not just for her to protect but who’s existence assures her that it isn’t blood that makes someone bad and maybe she isn’t so different from other people and she’s not “irredeemable”. Sometimes he reminds her of her older brother when he was kind to her growing up. Likewise, everyone usually sees the Lex in Kon as an inherently bad thing and thus he learns to hide it and hate himself for it. Lena presents an alternate because she remembers bittersweetly a simpler time when she looked up to her brother. Not everyone sees the Luthor genes in him as a threat, Lena finds it comforting to be able to help someone like her in a way she was never helped as a young girl. 

Lena thinks she can’t interact with kids well, much less the kid Lex had grown in a lab, but she totally warms up to him and can talk to him about familial rejection (via Clark) and if it’s because he’s a Luthor and if that makes him wrong. Is it because he’s artificial? Is it because he’s some strange illegitimate lab child? Smothering this kid with love and protection.

Plus Kon is like Kara in more than just being kryptonian but also in dorkiness. Lena’s life is just trying to wrangle an overpowered golden retriever and her lab puppy. She can’t stay mad at them for long.

Lena finding she is capable of loving and being loved and being with Kara makes it harder to ignore the crush she has on Kara. They talk together about love and acceptance now they have a shared kid they don’t want to hide personal things from that could later hurt him and many things become open secrets in their now shared house. Soon enough, it becomes obvious she needs to be truthful with Kara about her own feelings for her. 

Lena could learn about the difficulties of hiding being an alien that Kara had to deal with and the onslaught and exhaustion of developing powers in young kryptonians. She gets to see first hand what it does to a child and wonders how that must have affected Kara’s emotional development and sense of self. 

Lillian and Lex won’t get anywhere near this kid if Lena has something to say about it. Lena knows what it’s like to be the odd one out in a family and for people to reject you for simply existing from other people's sins

Kara concepts:

Kara recounts how she felt like a failure waking up on earth to find out Kal had grown up without her. Now she can maybe make peace with that by taking in Kon even if everything that motivates her choices with him is primarily for kons sake. 

Kara can share with another person krypton's history and culture which is something she’s had to keep seperate from her primary identity for years now *cough* it’s almost like she’s an immigrant who has to hide her identity and culture to be accepted and you could use that in the story *cough* 

Kon lived through being created as a lab rat and the only living experiment left. Kara could sympathize with his own grief from her experience with survivors’ guilt. 

Being open with Kon so that he doesn’t feel that same overwhelming pressure when she was told to hide with a human family also gives room for Lena to learn more about the world Kara came from beyond what she knows from interviews from Superman. Having Kara speak openly about her life on Krypton is much more personal and feels much more real than any article could do. 

Teaching Kon how best to control his powers and her and Lena being able to have the resources for him to do so safely 

Alex is very alarmed by the new addition to the family, mostly because how shitty Clark was in relation to the kid. From her perspective, this is not the first time the guy has dumped an unwanted kryptonian child on someone else’s doorstep. Whatever, she gets to buy leather jackets for her new nephew and be scary overprotective of him. “I don’t care if you think you’re nearly invulnerable at your age, do you have ANY IDEA what type of trouble your mother got us into when we were growing up? Or even when she just started hero work?”

Conner Kon-Cepts:

His sort-of-aunts can be his adoptive moms and be much better to him than his biological dads ever were to him in the comic canon. Kon actually being allowed to be close to other Superman family members!!! I need it like the air I breathe. Kon could get to know a Luthor that isn’t trying to hurt him or use him. Someone who defies part of why (Kon thinks) Superman could never accept a thing like him. 

(I have too many things to say to put in a brief bullet point just know that he’s my fav little boy and I think that he deserves parents who would love him unconditionally and Lena and Kara deserve to live a slower life where they can be cute and domestic)

(If he’s raised by these two then I can give a solid reason as to why we just ignore all the blatant misogynistic and horny writing from the 90s comics that made me really uncomfortable and didn’t completely fit with his given backstory especially with how over the top the specialization was. It helps make up for that)

Kon has to deal with being constantly compared to his two genetic fathers mirroring how Kara and Lena both are constantly being compared to Superman and Lex Luthor as they are the female counterparts of those two more infamous members in their respective families

Kara and Kon have very complementary stories and could become what the other needs to fill a hole in each of their hearts. Canon is way too personally tragic. I’d rather have a bittersweet world that’s also soft so I can spend more time with slow paced character analysis.

(In the beginning, Kon’s much more timid given he’s still so young and is coping with being rejected by superman. The tone at the beginning of the story is very serious. As the story unfolds, kon will loosen up to be goofier like his comic counterparts personality)

Both Clark and Lex don’t deserve this kid in any way. If all they are gonna do is mistreat or neglect him in their own ways, Kon is better off with his aunts. 

Conclusion:

Kara and Lena can be happy together by fully trusting themselves with each other in domestic bliss for once AND Kon doesn’t have to cry his eyes out knowing he’s an unwanted experiment child who is “undeserving” of family and home who never got to experience childhood

Everyone who's always saying “you can’t trust a Luthor” better shut their trap when Kara walks in with Kon-El Luthor, her newly adopted son, and her fiancé, Lena Luthor. These new moms will tear you apart if you try to instill that internal hatred of being a Luthor in their son’s young mind. 

Kara and Lena both defying what people say about them and instead raising a well adjusted boy from both their warring families. 

Kon is gonna be raised by a true power couple.

DC refuses to deliver on giving this boy a home or parents so I’m gonna do it instead. Just look at the family they could be together:

(FYI: This has nothing to do with the version of Superboy in the Young Justice cartoon TV show, so if you’re only familiar with that you may be a bit confused about this Superboy who that one was loosely based on. This whole punk fitted kid is indeed a real character and I stay pretty close to his original design from 1993.)

I really really appreciate you showing interest in the Supercorp + Kon AU. I have so many little things planned for this and a timeline I’m still sorting out but I would also love to share it. If you wanna exchange ideas I���d be down too. I’m thinking of posting a bunch of unfinished sketches of the au. I have a short intro comic planned for it and wrote most of the ending story for it.

Short version of how the AU is structured so far:

Half this story takes place when Kara and Clark find Kon and a lot of Kon adjusting to life with Kara and Lena. Kon is rescued early from Cadmus so he looks around 8 to 9ish years old. (I wanna give him lots of time to be a kid relative to his canon story).

The second half is Kon a few later when he’s in early high school and recounting life to this point. You get to see how a kid who grew up with Kara and Lena as their parents would see how much they complement and love each other. Then other more nefarious things happen.

There’s an intermediate story between those two above with Kon and Jon. Kon still knows the boy who is technically his half brother and they spend some weekends together. Even if ties with Clark are strained that doesn’t mean the rest of the Superfamily has to suffer with that. — I left out a lot but that’s the general gist.

(I wrote this before the Lois and Clark show that I refuse to acknowledge because I’m so angry about the family set up as if Clark doesn’t have other kids that could have been Jon’s older brothers like Kon or Chris. It genuinely saddened me so much. I guess that’s why we make fan content right?)

It’s a pretty expansive AU at this point because I need it for my soul. There are a lot of things that could be one-shots but I still wanted to make this universe lived-in (does that make sense?) I like to take a lot of time with emotional pacing because that’s what I like to read. Very indulgent introspective works. — also the core four exist as cameos later on. (I wrote this without watching the flash show since season 3 so idk what’s going on there. It’s gonna be more comic based versions of characters that aren’t important CW!Supergirl cast members)

I also have text document notes of me rambling on about the character themes between these three because I have lost control over my life. I’ll stop there because I will go on forever if I don’t.

I can give you a little sample of one of the things I’m working on. Specifically drawings I’ve made in the past two years but never posted.

That last image was literally part of a slideshow I made in 2018.

Childhood trauma on main with a healthy half course of Sapphic suffering spawned this into being. My asexual ass over here making domestic family au. This is my comfort AU

So I’ve been thinking about that Supercorp AU where Kara and Lena raise Kon-El...

Anyway, I’m moving forward on that happy Supercorp + Kon au I have that I was repressing for so long because I was convinced no one would care but you know what. This is for me. Welcome to my self indulgence where I work through things via giving this pseudo clone child a good home and Kara and Lena the domestic life they deserve.

Y’all out here trying to power through the final season of Supergirl (rip your patience and sanity, you brave souls) because I gave up on it like 2? years ago knowing where they weren't going because of the queerbaiting. I can’t withstand watching the end first hand. So I'm peacefully writing an AU where Kara and Lena adopt and raise Kon-El (ie Superboy/Conner Kent Luthor my sweet 90′s punk styled boi) together and get married somewhere in the process because I love their dynamic and I want them to be happy and I might as well give them Kon so he can be properly raised by somebody. I’m always so sad seeing him sidelined in the family by Clark in the comics and Kon doesn’t feel like he really fits into the Kent family. I might as well fuse these two concepts I’m passionate into one thing.

Think about it: Kara and Lena being cute domestic wives and getting to share everything they have with each other and a child who is not only tied to both of them by blood, but wasn’t wanted or immediately accepted by his biological parents (I’m keeping him as being made from Superman and Lex Luthor’s DNA because I think that assists in the storytelling more. and also he’s so ashamed of his ties to Lex in canon and that he was born “wrong” that i feel like changing him to having different bio parents goes against the spirit of his story. He should be loved for who he is not who he’s made from). They get to adopt the kid and give him a place where he is wanted and loved which helps them overcome their own childhood traumas. THAT’S THE GOOD SHIT

I would die for this AU (that I need to give it a name at some point) and I have no one I know who likes Supercorp to share it with. I have so many sketches and little bits of writing for this that I never posted. Please let me know if anyone is interested in this.
