Note: Happy Birthday to my bbg @twsted-idiot !! #blessed to be his bestie of almost FIVE WHOLE YEARS WOA 💥 in celebration of hus sixteenth birthday, I wrote stuff where he and his bbg CHUUYA NAKAHARA are both SIXTEEN!!! YAY!!! 🎉 TW: none!

“You don’t usually get this banged up, Chu.”

“I told you why already. Stop nagging me about it.” Chuuya folded his arms with an eye roll, evidently feeling some level of embarrassment due to the injuries on his body.

Dabbing an alcohol-soaked cotton ball against the wide gash across his face, Vie sighed. His boyfriend was always getting into trouble when he wasn’t looking. First, it was a bike-riding competition with a bunch of forty-year-old biker wannabes. Next, it was getting busted with fake IDs at a bar. And now, Chuuya sat in front of him with bruises and scrapes scattered across his pale skin because of a stupid “no ability” scuffle. And although Chuuya won with little to no effort, that didn’t stop him from receiving a few hits here and there — especially considering he was jumped by a ton of guys shortly after beating the original asshole. That’s what really led him to where he is now.

Chuuya looked cute with his hair up. It was hard to stifle the giggles that made their way through Vie’s voice box. The silence, his expression, the random hair sticking up on the top of his hair, it was all pretty damn hilarious from an outsider’s view. Despite this agonizing struggle, Vie knew better than to tick him off more. If he did, it was safe to say he’d freeze to death in bed tonight. (Without Chuuya’s embrace, it was bound to be cold — not to mention he’d most certainly steal all the blankets away just out of pity.)

“Lighten up, baby. Just ‘cause you got a few stray marks here and there doesn’t mean anything. Half of those guys left with broken bones. I mean, c’mon. Bloody nose or broken arm? I think we all know who won.”

Blush protruded from Chuuya’s cheeks. Avoiding eye contact and furrowing his eyebrows even more, he mumbled a response. “…Still. I don’t like looking like a jackass in front of you guys.”

In reference to “you guys,” Vie knew he really meant the Sheep. In a way, that only made his plea cuter. Chuuya cared way too much about what everyone else in the organization thought of him. Everyone recognized his strength, respected his power, and yearned to be accepted by him, but he still felt as though he needed to prove himself over and over again. It was silly. Chuuya should know by now that they all loved him.

“You’re a cute jackass.”

“Shut up.”

Chuuya stood before Vie was able to finish bandaging the wound across his face. He dug through his pockets and paced around the room, presumably in deep thought. It wasn’t until Vie followed his footsteps that he decided to break the silence, scrunching up his red face and continuing to avoid his eyes. After a solid six seconds, he cracked under pressure and lowered his guard once more.

“You wanna go for a ride or not?”

Tilting his head, Vie calculated how that might work. Neither of them had a vehicle, let alone a way to get one. But rather than asking him how they’d manage that, Vie smiled fondly and nodded. “Yeah, I’m down.”

And that’s how Vie found himself clinging to his boyfriend for dear life on a motorcycle they had stolen. All laws of the toad were off the table in Chuuya’s eyes. Even while interweaving through traffic, riding up on sidewalks and back alleys, drifting dangerously close to other vehicles, he didn’t flinch. Vie, on the other hand, was close to passing out.

“You scared, babe?” His cocky tone only made Vie’s heart beat harder. “You are, huh~? I won’t let you fall, y’know.” The vehicle sharply swerved left, causing a gasp to escape Vie’s mouth. A sly smirk found its way to his lips while humming in delight. “Hahaha, you are scared!”

With his forehead pressed tightly against Chuuya’s back, he tightened his grip around his boyfriend’s waist. “N-No, I’m not!”

That statement of defiance alone made him press the accelerator even more. Releasing the handles and grabbing Vie’s arms, he shifted them upward. Only then did Vie realize he was using his ability to control the motorcycle smoothly. With that in mind, a wave of anxiety was lifted from his shoulders. If he was using his ability on the vehicle, it was safe to say he was using it on the two of them as well.

“Keep your hands up here!” he purred, planting Vie’s palms against his chest. Once his arms were better adjusted across Chuuya’s frame, they were back to breaking every automobile law out there. This time, Vie was able to lift his head and enjoy it.

Right. Right. Left. Right. Left.

Every turn made Vie grip his boyfriend with a raspy laugh. By the tenth direction they turned, he realized where exactly he was squeezing. In other words, where exactly Chuuya put his hands.

Stupid flirt. He always was.

When the ride came to a halt, their hair was whipped around crazier than ever. They nearly fell off the seats laughing at each other’s appearance, attempting to fix it in the rearview mirrors. Once that plan fell through, they ended up relying on each other to give them a helping hand. With Chuuya’s fingers combing out his hair, Vie couldn’t help but giggle like a little girl.

“What, you ticklish or something?” Chuuya asked with a cute laugh of his own.

“No, it’s just…”

“What?”

“I don’t know! That was fun!”

And with that, Chuuya took a few steps back and shoved his hands in his pockets again. Vie half-expected him to avoid confrontation of his feelings and start being snarky, but he didn’t. Instead, he just looked up at the starry sky.

“Kinda why I did it,” he sneered before turning to face him again. “Now shut up and follow me.”

“What, you know where we are?” Vie curiously asked. The wooded location seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, away from the bright lights of Yokohama City.

Chuuya scoffed. “Well, yeah. What, you think I drove us out here for no reason?”

That wasn’t beyond him. Shrugging his shoulders and tagging alongside him, Vie continued to try and fix his hair that relentlessly blocked his eyes. As a result, he nearly tripped over a root in the ground and landed flat on his face. Gravity never seemed to work against him while his boyfriend was around. Before his skin grazed the ground, he was back on his feet. Chuuya didn’t even spare him a glance.

A few minutes passed before their journey came to a stop. Their surroundings consisted of a wide meadow clearing, full of flowers and overgrown grass that came up to their ankles. It was warm out with spring in full bloom, but both felt as if it were a scalding summer evening. Vie observed his body language intently while trying to guess what it was he was planning, catching a glimpse of his staggered breath. It didn’t seem to be caused by his stamina running low; it was almost like he was having trouble catching his breath because of his nerves.

“You like stars, don’t you?” he asked innocently enough.

Anxiously, Vie replied. “Yeah, why?”

He wasn’t sure if he ever even finished the sentence. The last thing he could remember was Chuuya’s slim hands reaching for his waist and the temperature suddenly dropping a few degrees. The two were both suspended hundreds of feet in the air in an instant. Vie’s grasp, again, nearly paralyzed his boyfriend.

With a playful groan, Chuuya pretended to go limp. “You’re suffocating me. I’m too weak. We’re gonna fall,” he whimpered with a horrified expression. They dropped for two seconds before he regained control.

“That’s not fuckin’ funny,” Vie snapped with wide eyes. He knew better than to be afraid of falling, but the height between the ground and himself was becoming too overwhelming.

“Okay, okay, I’m sorry.” He laced his fingers between Vie’s as an apology, smiling like an idiot. “It’s pretty though, yeah?”

The night sky loomed over them closer than ever before. With a decreasing heart rate and softening eyes, Vie took in the view entirely. The bushy tree tops, the various hillsides, the small streams, but most importantly, the glowing stars above them. He stayed quiet while processing all these things, his lips parted ever so slightly to showcase his amazement. Rather than commemorating the view he had seen hundreds of times himself, Chuuya watched his boyfriend’s reaction like a hawk. This was the first time he’s ever seen it — holding his hand while engraving the memory in his mind.

“…It’s beautiful,” Vie murmured more to himself than to Chuuya. When he finally jerked back into reality, he nodded affirmatively and gripped his palm tightly once more. “Thank you for showing me.”

Receiving that accommodation, Chuuya’s face went bloodshot. For some reason, Vie looked the best when he was grateful. His eyes were more polished and shiny, his smile natural and genuine while gazing at Chuuya’s countenance.

“…Yeah.”

His eyes were olive green.

CONGRATULATIONS U HAVE UNLOCKED LORE!!

SO about maybe a year and a half ago one of our closest friends picked his touhou hyperfixation back up, we learned about wriggle through them and i was like KIN! KIN! KIN! i am ALSO green and a bug! i think this was before we started going by my name? maybe the wriggle icons helped form me? but we didn't know we were plural yet!

we discovered june this year, and once i was able to talk with tobi inspace my appearance was SUPER unstable. but since our icon was wriggle nightbug and I'm Bug it was somewhere along the lines of our icon when i wasnt an actual beetle or a glitchy mess. 2 days later tobi used his apathy to make an important phone call without panicking too much (i was co-con and still very much panicking) and oh my god the hold was SO LONG. so we drew this little picture and then my appearance really started to stabilize!

then after this i drew my current icon! decided to switch out the clubbed antennae for segmented antennae since im beetle :3 ive also got a pair of elytra with flight wings underneath but our brain forgets they're there a lot gdkhdgkfgjsgk
