This is one of my favorite homes. I posted it before and apparently, it has never sold. They have been listing it, removing it b/c it didn't sell, changing the price, relisting and removing, since 2020. It's a 1905 Spanish Eclectic, which is very unusual, and it's in Kansas City, Missouri. 3bds, 3ba, $500K. Check out this unique & funky time capsule.
We begin in the spacious living room. The walls are probably in need of at least some color, but that's a lot of wallpaper to remove.
Check out the tile on the fireplace and the mirror art above.
Moving to the dining room, the wood kind of looks like craftsman style and there's a low window seat.
The kitchen is completely frozen in time.
There's even a pantry.
The great thing is that there's a door to the pantry in the main floor primary bedroom- so convenient for a late night snack.
And, at the foot of the stairs is a sink.
On the 2nd fl. is a very large bedroom with double doors to the sun room.
The sun room is gigantic. This home has such big rooms.
This would be the smallest bedroom.
At some point, within the last 50yrs, this bath was redone.
This room I cannot explain. It's on the main floor, off the living room, and it's sort of a foyer that has spiral stairs that go down to the basement. It was also made to look like the bridge of a ship. It's so cool and needs to be decorated as such.
The basement is definitely the star of the show. There's a vast rec room with wainscoting and a fireplace. The colorful tile is original. Note the small tile of a champagne glass.
Check out the bar. There's a vintage fan mounted to the ceiling and a brass foot rest. Oh, and 2 little music notes in the floor.
There's a billiard room. I wonder if the pool table conveys, b/c it perfectly matches the style of the house.
This is a home for entertaining. The laundry room has cabinetry for lots of storage. It's big enough for a second kitchen.
In this area is the half bath and stairs to the back yard.
But, this is the coolest room of all. It's a freshly painted indoor pool and look at the original vintage filter.
Look at this thing- there's only one way in and out. It's basically a basement you could fill with water. It has windows and they've delineated approximately how high the water should go, although it looks too high. There're also 2 rather dim looking lights above. This is so bizarre.
And, this is the dressing room and former shower for the pool.
There's a big driveway and garages for 3 cars.
Nice size yard and patio.
What are those stains on the roof? The lot is .28 acre.
Today let's have a look at what the upstairs looked like along with a few close ups of some of the items left behind!
From what I could find, this house has been abandoned for 20 years with the latest date in the house being from the late 90s. It was and is owned by a woman named Anna but why she has left it this way, we may never know.
There are large holes in the roof, the walls are tilting and the floors heaving. It is filled with furniture and belongings most of which appear to be from the 60s and 70s, there are even family photos left behind. Given it's current state and lack of upkeep, this house will likely continue to rot away and one day completely fall apart.
Nestled on the rugged edges of northern Morocco, where the whispers of history blend with the azure embrace of the Mediterranean, stands a testament to time - an abandoned Spanish military castle. Its silent stones, caressed by the sea breeze, tell tales of bygone eras, of vigils held and battles fought. Above its weathered facade, a solitary prickly pear plant stands sentinel, a living relic of ancient times. This castle, a bridge between worlds, invites the soul to wander amidst the shadows of history, under the watchful gaze of nature. Join me on this journey through time, where every stone has a story, and the horizon stretches into eternity. 🏰🌊🌵

That was a waste of my time on my laptop today. I didn’t think AVI Video formats had to remain as Time Capsules. So much for trying to get them onto my Smart devices.
Sooo how’s life treating you if you don’t mind asking?
This is an old ask but these old off anon asks are so helpful! I am the only active mod now. After a lifetimes worth of changes and challenges i need a low effort hobby that helps connect me to others. I am now 25, partnered, and i have a pet tarantula! I hope the years have treated you kindly ❤
the way supernatural treats food is soooooooo crazy because they establish that sam and dean grew up in poverty and they had such little access to food that dean would have to shoplift bread and go without meals for himself so he could feed sam. but then as the show goes on they make more and more jokes about how much dean relies on food for comfort and can never feel full enough, and how sam stringently follows diets and exercise regiments as a form of control. but it's funny you see because dean likes pie and sam likes rabbit food. it's funny
Wow, since this morning, the 1972 "Aquarius" in Kintnersville, Pennsylvania is under contract. It was built by the owner and he dug the entire foundation by hand. 3bds, 2ba, $299,900. It's not only a time capsule, but also a very unique home.
Nothing has changed. The original sculpted carpet is still on the floor, and the popular, at the time, metal electric fireplace is still on the wall.
They don't show where the stairs lead, but I'm guessing they go up to the family room.
It still looks pristine. The stone wall and gold patterned mirrors on the built-ins are classic, but would you embrace them?
There's no doubt that the house needs work- note the ceiling on the left. The carpet has to be replaced, too. The owner has a formal dining room set in the area outside the kitchen.
I like the curved counter and cabinets. The ceiling is also crazy-cool. The stove is an original MCM harvest gold model.
I like the bright yellow counters, too. The house is kind of dark and dingy, but there are only 3 lights working in the ceiling, and that would brighten it up if they were all lit. I don't see a dishwasher, but there's plenty of cabinet space for one.
Not sure if this is the primary bedroom. It's angular, but large enough.
This would be a secondary bedroom. It has curving walls.
Maybe this one is supposed to be the primary. There's water damage in the ceiling and the carpet is worn, so it will need some attention.
Rounded retro bath. The pink sinks are original. I would say that everything's original but the toilet.
Large pink tile shower.
In the round family room, the ceiling has a lot of water damage. I have no idea what that round thing with the pole is.
This is fun, a rec room with a bar and a built-in booth in a nook.
And don't forget about the video with you want to see all the details this home had to offer!
