I was tagged for this Picrew by @anamoon63, @bool-prop, @silwermoon-sims, @faeriefrolic and I think one other person I couldn't find in my mentions. Wow, y'all really want me to give Aiden a sword! You know he's gonna hurt himself, right? 😭

This is exactly what that fool would come up with, I feel it in my bones. It's pretty, it's impractical, it's ridiculous. The little danglies aren't silver, they're clear. They're cubic zirconia. He'd never actually use it because he'd be too busy running from whatever the threat was but he'd like to have it hanging on the wall so he could look at it from time to time. I'd have to physically restrain him from making the whole thing a solid pink. That was an option, by the way. It was positively h i d e o u s.

I made one for Roman as well. He likes bats and light bondage themes in his attire, and also he's semi-aquatic. It suits him. He would actually use it. Probably for cooking. Probably while screaming, "I HAVE THE POWER" as he slices a loaf of bread with it while his dinner guests look on in bewildered horror. Please don't actually give Roman a sword.

I almost never include Rio in these things because they rarely ever have options I feel like she would pick herself. But this one...it just had a vibe to it. I imagined Rio at a Ren Faire or something telling the booth guy what she wants and him just judging the hell out of her for how boringly practical it is.

Sword Customizer: That's...that's it? Just a plain sword?

Rio: What do you mean? It's not plain, I put a ribbon on it.

Sword Customizer: Yeah but we have so many other options. You could make it sparkly, or look enchanted, or a rainbo--

Rio: What good is a sparkly rainbow sword going to do me in battle?

Sword Customizer: You're...not serious, right? You're not actually going to fight with this, right? This is a novelty shop. For tourists.

Rio: So? It's still pointy. It'll get the job done.

Sword Customizer: I--ok, as long as you sign the waiver, I don't care what you do with it when you leave here. Just don't mention me when the cops show up. Still, are you sure you don't want to add some of your personality to it? Something to represent a special interest of yours, perhaps?

Rio: Ugh, fine. *tapes a watch cog to the handle* Happy?

Sword Customizer: I haven't known happiness in a long time.

And just for funsies, here's one I'd make for myself. I have two modes: recovering Lisa Frank addict and 2004 Hot Topic edgelord. This is the former. Be grateful.

The four approached the children, with Jack leading the way, but they didn't seem too pleased to see a group of strangers invade their territory.

"Who are you?" asked one of the older kids, a little girl around eight with a dirty chin and braided hair.

Rapunzel, obviously fascinated by the group, bent down at her level, leaning her hands against her knees. "We're just travellers looking around."

The little girl squinted. "Alright. What do you want?"

"We need to ask some questions," Merida said unceremoniously.

Rapunzel elbowed her.

"What? I've never got anything from my brothers by being nice," Merida defended herself.

A boy pointed at her. "Why aren't you wearing a petticoat like other big girls do?"

"'Cause it makes riding my horse uncomfortable."

"Where's your horse?"

"... He ran away."

It was enough to make the children even more suspicious. The younger kids hid behind the taller ones, frightened.

Hiccup raised his hands. "We just want to ask if you’ve seen anything strange in town lately," he said, hoping to sound reassuring.

The little girl stared at him without shame. "I'm not telling you anything, Skinnylegs."

Hiccup now remembered why every time he stumbled upon children in Berk, he crossed the street.

snowbaz.scriv is my catch-all Scrivener file for all ficcy things

There’s a person that I used to be. Magic I used to hold, magic that held me. I have done everything I can to forget that feeling, because it was never supposed to be mine. I was never magic. He’s magic. He’s magic, and I can almost touch him. He’s magic, and he can almost hold me. I live on the edge of almost all the time, so that’s enough. (It’s never enough.)

8. ♻️A scrapped idea for your current WIP.

This was originally planned as a story written in letters. (Doing that with something else, now, and it works way better in a different story.)

9. 🤔What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

I'm going to stick to snowbaz fanfic for this, because if I broaden it any further, this list will instantly become quite long. (I have a lot of original story ideas.) For snowbaz, though? Well, there's the one I'm planning for COTTA. There are a couple AU's that I've written way too many notes on. And then a Fangirl crossover fic that I sincerely hope to someday write. (Technically I started it, but only a few hundred words at this point.)

10. 🤡How many WIPS are you actively working on?

Actively? One. Maybe two. Kinda thinking two, but the second one is new and more of a game at this point, so we'll see. (Not quite so actively I also have my Baz fic, my "Silence" fic where Baz successfully steals Simon's voice. It's roughly (super roughly) outlined, and I've written several scenes, but it's on the back-burner for Haunting. And COTTA. No more new fics after that, though! I really want to tell that story!)

11. 🛠Is there a scene or anything in the WIP you are struggling with right now?

That's funny. What a question. XD YES. Yes, there are scenes. I'm designing Pitch Manor to get through this damned scene LOL

Soulmates, time travel, canon divergent, Watford-era, angst with a happy ending, kid!Baz, lightly inspired by Time Traveler’s Wife.

Time Travel AU

He whistles, looking around and finally taking the time to fully appreciate the tree house.

“Did you make this?”

“With help,” I explain. “Some from Father. Mostly from you.”

His eyebrows raise in surprise. That’s one thing I’ve yet to figure out, why he forgets. Sometimes, he remembers our past visits with more detail than I do. As if they’d just happened the day before instead of years ago. Other times, he can’t remember something as big as building a treehouse with me. He reminds me of my grandmother, when her dementia had its grips on her. She’d recall something from her childhood so clearly, and the next minute, she’d forget my name.

Father didn’t want me to call attention to it in front of her. He said it would only make her more confused. So I don’t mention it to him, either. We just sort of…dance around it, without mentioning it outright. (He’d fit right in with my family, honestly.) I just clarify things and then we move on.

♻️A scrapped idea for your current WIP

I was thinking about having the Humdrum be a time traveling younger Simon, or something like that, in addition to current Simon being a time traveler. Like, they discover there’s another version of him traveling, but I thought that would be too confusing. So instead, he’s just the regular ol’ Humdrum.

🤔What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

I have a lil Drabble in my head about Baz being sad while his wedding ring is getting fixed by the jewelers for a week so Simon has to cheer him up. (It me. Rubbing my empty ring finger all week while it’s getting fixed and I hate it not being there.)

🤡How many Wips are you actively working on?

Actively? I think just this one right now. There are about 4 other half starts from earlier this year when I was just throwing spaghetti noodles at the wall to see what stuck. Some of them I may come back to if I get a burst of inspiration or something.

🛠Is there a scene or anything in the WIP you are struggling with right now?

(One of) the big reveals because the scene carries a lot of emotional weight, and I want to do it right.

Well, Mega, what can we look forward to 👀

1) Beauty and the Beast Inspired Stunna: I have severe Yahya Abdul Mateen II brainrot and baby, 🥲 the way I want to write literally everything for him. This will be a precursor to a novella I wanna write with original characters and lots more action, but Id love extra feedback for it. It will have vampires, toxic staff, and naughty bits.

2) Mea Culpa: I have been debating how much time I wanna dedicate to rewriting that monstrosity of a movie 🤭 okay, thats not fair. The idea was there, the execution wasn't because TP wouldnt know what's sexy if it slapped him in his face. Who am I fooling? I won't be satisfied until I write the whole thing and satisfy my brain. So yeah, prepare for a rewrite according to what I would've done. Think corruption kink, think court drama, think Zyair being the toxic mess we know and love.

3) Mob Boss Tyrone: I feel like ive been teasing this for years 🥲😭🤣 and thats because the ask was specifically for a one shot and I plotted out 7 parts 🤭🤣 at this point, yall know how I am. I tried to conform to short fics for my sanity and I just cant 🤷🏽‍♀️ some ideas require one part, some require several. It will include hella angst, hella smut, hella toxcity, but at the end of the day, hes always going to love his baby girl. I also think im going to switch it to Fontaine chuz thats a prettier/grittier name and would suit the story better.

4) A Watchmen fic for Cal (Yahya): lissen, ive finally went back to finish Watchmen. Not because it was a bad show, but because it requires 100% of my focus and I aint had it. But for Yahya? Ill make the time. I feel like that is 100% a soft dom and I just wanna be his cute lil princess, sue me 🤷🏽‍♀️ I love a man I can't tell what to do 🤣

Theres more but for the sake of brevity, Ill keep it at the 4 most occupying my brain at the moment. Soooo, which one yall want first? And yes 🥲 im aware of how many series I need to update 🥲

WIP Wednesday (Almost. We're Getting Closer)

Thank you for the tag @flamemittens. I've been like...taking a little bit of a break from writing, so I don't have anything big or sexy to put here. So just have like. Some weirdness that I might refine down the line:

Excerpt:

Everything swims—his vision, his thoughts—a sea of red, dozens of shades, some outside the scope of the mortal eye, bleeding together. He is dying—and how apropos that it should end in red. 

Raphael scowls, pushing past the pain, clawing up towards consciousness and away from the beckoning numbness, the finality, of death. Someone screams his name, horrified and furious in equal measure. His Duchess, his Joi—it must be, and there is heat as she lashes out at his assailants. The air crackles, shadows writhe…more screaming…distorted, distant, like he’s underwater. Swimming, yes, it all came back to that. 

And then there are hands on him, pressing, pushing, warm and wet. Their fingers curl, and he tries to reach for them in the haze. 

But he slips. The surface is so far off. He’s drowning.

Raphael floats, weightless for the first time in his long life. 

"Did I ask you for hypotheticals, servant?" His Duchess snaps. Joi's hold tightens, her arms linked under his own to keep him above the pool's surface. She speaks again, all archness and offended nobility. "His wounds are not mending. Tell me why." 

Ah, but your confidence is such a pretty lie, sweetling, he thinks. He hears the minor tremor in Joi's voice, feeling the thundering of her heart in her breast. The godling worries. 

"We cannot say, Duchess! We cannot say. The Duke…he ought…” 

"Your simpering is not an answer." 

I am dying, he thinks. Joi's grip tightens as if in response.

"Poison," the devil chokes out. "Aye, it must be of Mephistopheles' design. Engineered for the Duke." 

The water boils in response to her fury. "And the antidote?" 

"If it is of the Cold Lord's making…" the sentence drifts off. No, no antidote. No, he'll drown…back to swimming, back to drowning. 

"No." 

"My Lady?" 

"I forbid it," the godling snarls, more petulant child than a queen. Raphael wants to laugh—oh, he's shaped her well, greedy little beast. 

Whatever comes next is lost to him. The tide comes back in, washes over him, and thought ceases.

He's flying. Raphael feels the wind in his hair, the distant stench of brimstone and ash. Talons curl around him. The devil opens his eyes, but it's still all red aside from a blurry swathe of black—concerning.  Why aren't you dead? A voice grumbles, and the Archduke wonders if it is his inner monologue or his Sire's. And the answer is obvious, if spiteful: you will not have the satisfaction of killing me.
