I think Harry’s love song to us and for us represents how he sees us. When he looks out at the sea of people at a concert, he doesn’t see a mob or mass. He sees individuals. Literally. He remembers names and circumstances and keeps pictures and shirts and keychains we’ve given him — just like we keep every gift he gives us.

Harry wrote a song without lyrics because he’s thanked us many times at his shows, and he wanted to find a different way that was beyond words. For however long it took to compose, he sat at the piano, feeling out the notes and melody and tempo that would express his gratitude for what we’ve given him. Then he rehearsed with the band. His anticipation and excitement at getting to share this treasure with us must have been overwhelming.

This mutual love affair doesn’t happen in every fandom. He says we created it. We say he created the environment for it to exist. Either way, it’s rare to find a fandom like ours.

My greatest hope is that we can remember this shared love while he’s off doing whatever he’s doing, and that we can build each other until his return. To create an even better fandom to celebrate this incredibly talented and beautiful soul we’ve been blessed to stan.

I am glad I never deleted my Tumblr. The old pre-2018 Tumblr days are gone for good and that shan't change, but at least if the blue bird site does indeed collapse, I'll have somewhere to go to. My old home. Broken as it still remains.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

I can't be bothered to project a personality onto the LI's in DOL. To my (PC's) mind, they are totemic obstacles designed to create friction; toys, if you will. I wish I could "flesh out" them more though, because it seems like fun, to inhabit their minds, and pretend about their behavior.

But I am too literal. I take what's in the game at face value and my imagination has nothing else to contribute, which is surprising to me but also suggests that I like it just how it is... Or that I have some kind of mental block.

the thing is like. i get that it's scary and makes people who do desire to get pregnant uncomfortable when we talk about the brutality and violence of pregnancy and the damage that pregnancy can do to your body

but you deserve to give informed consent to that process.

the lies around pregnancy - that it's inherently safe, that it doesn't do you permanent damage, that it's only extremely rare for people to die of pregnancy complications, etc like

all of these are lies constructed so that more people will get pregnant w/o knowing all that

there needs to be more talk about the impact of miscarriages and how common they are, how different abortion processes are and how accessible they are

but also like. talking about how pregnancy fucks your body up should not be taboo

this is a process that permanently changes most people's bodies, and that's even if the pregnancy doesn't do them like. severe illness or injury

and i just think everybody should have a right to KNOW that

bc to live in a society that intentionally obscures and hides facts about a completely optional and dangerous process does so for a reason, and that reason is based in a very sinister ideology that does not value bodily autonomy or informed consent
