Finally finished HOSAB last night

SPOILERS Below

Things I liked and disliked:

Almost utter lack of otters

Why? They were the stars of CC1

Way less Syrinx as well, and why? Everyone loves him.

I have a hard time with the Bryce and Fury/Juniper so-called ‘friendship’. It gives Bryce nothing. They pretty much abandoned her after Danika’s death. They usually just get pissed off at her or ignore her, and this ain’t friendship. To me, Juniper is especially annoying with her passive aggressiveness. Anyway, that relationship is crap.

Compare it to the AUX, and how Flynn and Dec and Ruhn deal with each other, always have each other’s backs, crack jokes, and support one another. They even accept others into their circle. They put each other in danger, knowing that their friends need them.

Quinlar fizzled.

I think SJM wanted to bring back the Rowan and Aelin vibes--with Bryce being similar to Aelin, and oh-just-so-smart, with great strategic planning abilities and just innate understanding of very complex situations. Hunt, it seems, was supposed to have been similar to Rowan--a warm, supportive presence behind Bryce.

A few problems with that--Bryce isnt Aelin! Bryce couldn’t even read her bestest friend in the whole world, with whom she spent day and night, and yet had absolutely no idea what the Hel Danika was up to--the most important things in Danika’s life were kept away from Bryce and Bryce didn’t suspect anything. (This, frankly, is a weird relationship too, which I can’t wrap my mind around, because it’s based on so many lies and deceptions), but I absolutely cannot, CAN-NOT seriously consider that Bryce would be able to strategically plan anything, have any insight into complex situations, and have a winning strategy.

The majority of the book is just Bryce saying ‘no’ or ‘we are doing it’ and amazingly, everyone just .... does it?

Usually with disastrous consequences.

Bryce is a 23 year old party girl, with little experience in anything--you are telling me she can become this mastermind? based on WHAT? That was the most unbelievably ridiculous part of the book.

Aelin was trained as an assassin since she was 11, she planned complex operations, she was in a concentration camp by the time she was 18. Bryce snorted a lot of coke, and was something like an admin assistant at an art gallery.

Yeah, SJM really got into her own head there...

Which brings me to Hunt. Hunt literally did NOTHING the entire book. He walked and talked, but a 500 year old guy can’t influence a 23 year old? Just goes with whatever she says? It was just ridiculous. He is supposed to be this general, who led armies, and I don’t think he can plan a trip to the grocery store. I dont know. He was terribly disappointing.

Ithan was interesting and I liked his part in the book.

I liked most of the newly introduced characters--Baxtian, Cormac, Day, etc. They added depth.

Tharion died in a watery grave of a non-story. Also, his ‘defection’ storyline is just...not good. It maze zero sense.

Day/Night and Ruhn is general carried the book. Theirs was the most interesting relationship.

Also, shadow boy and a deer? Come on. Elriel heart is happy.

Their intimate scene was the hottest in the book.

Finally, enough with the whole ‘ everyone is so attracted to Bryce!!’. It’s seems like SJM is trying to convince herself, rather than the readers. Less sweaty smelly thong scenes--maybe it will be easier to convince us then.

I don’t know, it just wasn’t very believable that all these men would be so into Bryce. You could just be a good friend and a fascinating woman, without every male dry humping your leg.

Anyway--these are just first thoughts about the book. Also, Emile and Danika storylines--oh gods.

hello, all!! my name is abbie and i’m your very disorganised admin woo!! this boy here is jeon wonwoo, my dearest son. he’s been around for over three years now, terrorising just about everyone he meets and he shows No Signs Of Stopping !

i’m super excited for mi to be reopening and to see everyone having so much fun already. history ! ( tw !! child neglect, child abuse, murder, death, suicide, torture, needles, knives, alcoholism )

born july 17th, 1996 as the youngest of four brothers. his parents didn’t really want him but had him anyway for reasons wonwoo later decides is just so they can have someone to blame for everything that goes wrong.

growing up, he’s barely looked after. his meals are just leftovers from his family’s plates, his bedroom is the storage room, his belongings all broken/damaged hand-me-downs from his brothers. if he left his room without permission, he’d be punished.

by age eleven, he’s started to crack and tries to think of a way to scare his mother into stopping hitting him to discipline him. he starts in october 2007, standing by the side of her bed with a sewing needle while she sleeps until she’s too spooked to go near him. everyone assumes she’s just drunkenly dreaming and brushes it off.

he then gets two of his older brothers, changwoo and hyunwoo. changwoo submits in september 2009 when he takes a girl into his treehouse and she falls out and breaks her leg after seeing the months of work from wonwoo carving warnings and threats into everything he owns. leaking hyunwoo’s nudes doesn’t damage his reputation enough, so wonwoo resorts to carefully planning the perfect ‘accident’. as of february 2012, his injury will never fully heal and his soccer scholarship and athletic career are gone forever.

in a case that mpd believe to be suicide, jeongwoo, his oldest brother, suddenly dies in his bedroom on december 19th, 2013. in truth, wonwoo hadn’t meant to kill him but he doesn’t regret it, especially when two months later, he’s kicked out and feels the satisfaction fully of knowing revenge is sweet.

he joins phoenix in february 2014 thanks to his new roommate. there, he meets mingyu and eventually after the worst night of wonwoo’s life ( september 30th, 2016 ), on november 18th, 2016 they begin dating and move in together.

january 2019, they open famous last words bookstore together with their dog, noodle!!

got a skill you can teach him? a skill he has that you want to learn? hmu,,

let him pick your Perfect flowers for that special occasion. confessing to your love? threatening your enemy? he can help, promise

ask him what the date means on his tattoo on the inside of his hand so he can ramble to you about soulmates, please

yes, he’s in the convenience store in what is probably his pyjamas ( or at the very least lounge wear ) at 3am, he’s just getting ice cream, don’t judge ( help him pick a flavour )

you stop wonwoo on the street in an emergency saying you need a phone, he says he doesn’t have it on him and you think he’s lying ( he’s not, he genuinely always forgets it )

this blog is coming to an end

Hey guys!

Admin Tsuna here! I started this blog 1.5 years ago because I was really interested in exploring the dark side of mostly, well, Tsuna. I didn’t expect the blog to be popular. I mean it was taking one fandom-declared “uke” character and turning him into a completely out-of-character Mafia Don. I didn’t expect it to get this big. We have around 1500 scenarios/headcanons, 10+ admins who contributed to it and more than 1600 followers! We also ended up having fanart! It has been a spectacular journey and I’ve gotten so much joy from managing this blog and writing it for it!

Unfortunately, I think it’s time for me to step down as Chief Admin. I take great pride in the fact that we were able to dish out a scenario/headcanon every single day for the last 1.5 years (and we still have 130+ scenarios/headcanons queued up!) but it has also been incredibly exhausting. Weekly deadlines, recruitment, management... I no longer have the self-discipline or energy to guide this blog. So far, none of the other admins want to take the responsibility of Chief so without leadership the blog will have to come to an end.

If you are interested in taking over the role of Chief Admin:

Sometimes, the end is a new beginning. If any of my followers is interested in taking over my role, please contact me here (this is my main blog).

If you want to be Chief Admin, you need to keep a few things in mind:

It’s basically starting from scratch, like I did, but, unlike me, you’ll have 1600+ followers and 1500+ posts to use as a reference for your works.

You’ll need to find new admins and you’ll need to be a good judge of quality. For a while, you might be the only admin who is writing until you find other admins.

You’ll need to be self-disciplined. You need to make deadlines and follow them through and you need to make sure your other admins do it as well.

Self-discipline is key.

Things you will have to keep in mind:

31st January 2020,

Loz had Nathan back over to do more filming, he just wanted her to do a stream of consciousness talk on her current projects and the processes of them and what it was like to purchase the engine and propeller etc. during this time I went to the kitchen in the studios and worked on my own stuff to keep up with my mounting coursework. After the filming, Loz and I will work on the engine some more if not I will do some of my own creative work while she tackles her own admin and exhibition prep.

Whilst being on this placement I have been more creatively thinking. I have thought of more ideas for my project and discovered some more of what kind of artists I am at the moment (conceptual installation).

The health and safety in the building is great, with clear signage of the taking care on the stairs, and keeping the front door locked, within the individual spaces each artist is reliable for their own health and safety. While working on the engine and putting varnish on the Otter for Dartmoor Loz would wear a mask and latex gloves to protect her from the fumes and marking her skin with the products. All walkways are clear to make the maze easier to navigate.

Loz gifted me some spare engine parts that I can engrave designs onto. I cleaned these to prepare them for the engraving, I am thinking of adding in RAF logo’s, fleur de les’, and delicate designs to contrast the masculine metal. I want to loan one of these to the UHI history department to use as a teaching aid for a few days, as they hold personal significance I’d like to keep them and not give them away permanently. I also helped Loz with some more gold leafing of the engine.

In the evening we went to LCB Depot with a couple of the other artists at StudionAme, and saw the second year’s exhibition from De Monfort University as well as meeting and talking with other artists that were at the event, there was a lot of art to take in as well as seeing Loz network. The night was great being able to talk shop with those in the industry.

yikes. I was really stressed out over my last project in jan (bc i carried four lazy asses which i just got back my results today and its surprisingly fab) and it’s a two day critique and my art installation’s crit was done on the first day and i crashed right after sleeping at like 5pm bc i didn’t sleep at all for like a week for it, and i dreamed that i overslept for the next day (bc not going means u fail) and i got so pissy about it and somehow ended back in Singapore complaining about it and eating ice cream with the fam. weird. then i woke up and saw the clock at like 1am and I thought it was 1pm and I freaked again. GOOD TIMES.

Holidays and Celebrations

Holidays and celebrations are an important part of every culture. What is celebrated, and how it is celebrated, can tell us a lot about the world around us! Let’s take a look at the four biggest holidays in the Baobab Clans:

TuskClan celebrates the migrations of animals, taking note of which prey is in season at any given time of the year. It is a practice as old as TuskClan itself. Their biggest celebrations, as one would assume, happen during the Elephant migration, which happens around the beginning of the wet season each year. Though there are elephants on the savanna year-round, the more migratory families make their way over when the grass is greener and the rain comes more often, meaning that elephants are safer to hunt without disrupting the balance of predator and prey. The first successful elephant hunt of the season is a great honor for a batch, and games and festivities are to be had until the entire beast is finished.

BevyClan celebrates the rain. It brings new growth, new life, and new challenges to their territory, and BevyClan is always up for a challenge! The first official rain of the wet season is met with celebration from saber and otter alike, and the two groups get together to share in a multitude of light-hearted competition, where winners are given special paw-made prizes! It’s a great time to show off the skills you’ve been working on for the past cycle, and if you’re feeling inventive, new games are always willing to be played by saber and otter alike!

SunClan celebrates life, specifically that of their beautiful Sunsquirrels. Around the end of the dry season is when young Sunsquirrels begin to take their first leaps, and during that time SunClan will also have their biggest tree-leaping events of the year! Races and feats of agility are shown, almost like canopy-top dancing as sabers mimic the creatures from which they get their clan name. Sabers will get together to make a large wreath as a clan, to hang on a large tree as a celebration of the jungle, and their festivities will go on into the night. It is said to be a sign of good fortune if you see some Sunsquirrels sitting on that year’s wreath.

All Three Clans celebrate together around the anniversary of their clan founding. A three-day event, to honor the three clans, is held as a sort of “extended gathering”. Sabers bring prey unique to their territory to share, games and lighthearted competitions are had, and most importantly, stories of clan history are shared, passed down from old to young, from clan to clan, in an effort to build their bonds stronger than ever. They came to the baobab together, as one clan, after all.

And of course, as seasons go by and sabers grow and change, new holidays and celebrations come and go! Characters will be able to create new ways to celebrate the world around them, depending on what is important to them as individuals and as a clan!

I had a coarctation or narrowing of the arota at 6 days old and was pronounced dead on the way to Children’s Hospital. I had open heart surgery soon afterwards. My grandmother was told that with all the mental health issues I could have due to TS, I could be super smart or I wouldn’t even be able to remember my own name. The doctor’s said I would be bad at math. My parents divorced when I was 10 and my little brother was 6. Both of them remarried, my dad once and our mol several times. Though, I won’t go more into that lol just to save you the details, our grandparents raised us and life was -is- really messy ahah

I’m currently going to college. I was supposed to graduate last semester, but I changed my major several times in the last 2 years lol 😂😂 I was a biology major and wanted to work in marine bio/ wildlife conservation and start my own rehab places for marine/terrestrial mammals. I am now a Middle School Education major with areas of concentration in science and language arts with a minor in TESL ( Teaching English as a Second Language). I want to teach English in Japan! 😊 As far as grade school, I always made As/Bs witout even trying and I loved to read, so much so that I got an award for it in 5th grade! I was quiet yet loud and super awkward as a kid 🤣🤣 I actually loved science a lot and even took AP courses until highschool because the teacher I would have taken in highschool was a really bad teacher who if he had family members and didn’t like them, he wouldn’t like you. For a while, I wanted to be a Forensic Antropologist like Temeperance from Bones! 😊 however, we didn’t have a anthro major at my college, only chem lol so, when I started taking upper level courses, I quickly found I much prefer bio to chem 🤣🤣 I still dislike math as I have my whole life, but since I got to college, I’ve only made below a B in one math related course! 🥰

So, I’m very shy and quiet at first, but when I get comfortable around someone, that’s when the wierd comes out 🤣 I’m very passionate about education and science! I grew up watching anime and still love it to this day. I have strong connection with Japanese culture because anime was the gateway into learning about it and anime will always have a special place in my heart because of it! Japanese culture and really most if not all Asian cultures resonate with me because of the morals anime had taught me. I firmly believe in balance and hamrony with nature! As I mention with wanting to be a marine biologist, I really love animals!~ 💕💜 my favs are otters, foxes, cats of all kinds, dogs, wolves, dolphins, and honey badgers! I currently have a Korat named Lila (li-lah like lilac) she is a very unique cat 🤣 she’s super curious and sorta a crackhead lol I did have a yorkie terrier named Sarah and a miniature schnauzer named Star, but since last June, we had to put both of them down 🥺 Sarah got cancer suddenly late last year and a few months ago Star had congestive heart failure. They were 13 and 14 respectively. They were amazing dogs! Sarah loved to swim and hunt little creatures and was the energetic one while Star was the grouchy old lady 🤣🤣

I also love anything fantasy/superhero! I love HP, LOTR, and Marvel! My fav genre of anime is shounen obvi lol 🤣Lol I also love learning other languages! I took French in highschool and two semester of Mandarin in college lol ( I need to brush up on both 🤣🤣) I am currently trying to learn Japanese! I wanna also learn Korean, Welsh, and Irish! I hope to go teach English in Japan via the JET program at my college! 🥰 I will more than likely stay in Japan after I stay the 5 max years through the JET program!

I also really love video games! I wanna play Persona 5 soo bad 🤣🤣 Horzon: Zero Dawn, the Legend of Zelda series, the Pokemon series and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are some of my favorites lol

Hmmm… what else to say? 🤣 I am typically the mom friend of the group ahaha oh! I am 4’9” and weigh 140 so I’m kinda chubby 😅 I am very self concious about my body. I have green eyes and I wear small, black rectangular glasses. I have moles and freckles all over my body. I have a dyed blonde bob with a brunnette undercut. I don’t have any piercings yet but I do have one tattoo on my inner left ankle!
