His almost wife just chilling, all calm. Izzy, his sister, looks a little weirded out but ultimately you can see the smirk, and then there was Jace... full on playboy smirk, he’s into it, all like ‘fuck the system bro!’

Also I did this just because of the look on Simon’s face. Like Alec is questioning everything, leaving his ready made, family approved wife to try and maybe date his flirty friend, who is also a long standing enemy of his family, and fucking Simon is just smiling like a ray of fucking sunshine. It’s adorable.

Clary is just smiling all happy, her kind of friend is actually happy for once in his life, good for him.

His mom is pissed to shit, his dad looks hella embarrassed but I gotta be honest, he looks embarrassed of her. I would be too.

Then there’s just that dude (cannot remember his name), what’s his deal, he trains them and shit. At first he’s all ‘oh fuck’ and then you can see him bite back his fucking smirk. Yes.

silly episode idea but hear me out

okay well the first part isn’t silly! so the episode is based around a con they are doing where a polyam triad wants to get married and have been writing to senators and stuff for years but nothing has happened. maybe there is a time element that leeway has to happen soon (not sure what that would be yet, maybe someone is sick???)

(obviously polycules aren’t only and are often more than just a closed three-person system, but I’m saying triad right now bc I feel like that would be an easier and more ‘socially acceptable’ gateway into more accepting legislation for diverse relationship dynamics)

the leverage crew, of course, can’t outright change the public perception of poly marriage, but they can use the ‘enemy’s’ tactics against them and slip stuff into legislation without people noticing like they do. it’s slimy and it’s not a permanent fix, but it’s a start, and it gives people the opportunity to see poly marriage in action and that it isn’t as terrifying or pearl-clutching-inducing as they think it would be. there’s a long way to go, but the seeds of change have been sown and they will make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible

this is one of the cases that they will monitor on the back burner over time. some cons can finish within a few hours (the bottle job), and some things they will follow over time and make adjustments when needed- amplify voices and expose corrupt politicians etc

and then it’s just after 3/4 of the way through but the con has been finished? what is going on? this is where the silliness comes in

the camera turns to the ot3 and…

hardison, pulling out three individualized rings: I know it’s not legal yet, and we have the necklaces, but I think rings would be a nice touch

eliot, pulling out an intricately carved box that also has three self-handcrafted rings: dammit hardison (with feeling and tenderness, and damp eyes)

harry pops into the conversation (practically vibrating) excitedly just casually mentioning that he’s a notary and would be honored to marry them to each other if they wanted to

Sterling and Chaos

Thinking about the Leverage team's relationships to Sterling and Chaos due to the random thought of "do they hate Sterling more than they hate Chaos?"

I do not have an answer to this question but I will now ramble about the different relationships the crew has with these two reoccurring villains.

When he are first introduced to Chaos he's tried to kill Sophie and honestly came fairly close.

"Long time now try to kill you" and all that. I feel like it's important to start with that.

He also successfully manipulated them into helping with a heist. They were later able to turn it around, and both those episodes ended with Chaos being arrested, but both probably weren't fun for the team and Sophie's near-death led to her leaving for Europe for several months to figure things out. It was good for her, but a lot for the team

And then of course there's the episode where they have to work with Chaos. It goes well, there's no double crossing or anything, but everyone including the new people hate the guy that whole episode.

And then there's Sterling. Who puts Nate in jail, forces them to blow up their first HQ, has gotten career boosts from them, once drugged Eliot, and successfully manipulated them, all this while trying to arrest them every time he appears in the show. There's a reason that this is Eliot's reaction to Tara saying "I hate this guy!"

He beats them multiple times and even though the team also succeeds, or comes back to succeed depending on the episode, that's really not fun.

On the other hand, this relationship is complicated by Nate and Sterling's relationship. They're not friends, but they respect each other, and Nate doesn't seem to hate him as much as the other's do. They also work with him 3 times, to rescue Maggie, to rescue daughter, and to clear Sophie's name. There's also the last episode, where he's pissed when he thinks Nate got the other's killed and lets them go when he figures things out.

So Nate likes Sterling way more than Chaos and the same can probably be said for Sophie because she likes messing with Sterling, while Parker Eliot and Hardison would probably be happy to punch and/or tase either one one.

there's a lot to be said about the tragedy of the loss of low-budget campy fantasy shows in western media bc unless they're like high-budget, overly-produced and stripped of any filler they get cancelled after one season of 8 episodes but truly one of the biggest defense in favor of them and why we need them is the malec wedding kiss in shadowhunters
