(I couldn't get this like post idea out of my head so Im writing it out)

Note: I based this off on my own observation so there's no criteria 🫠 without getting into the technicalities (strategy call and whatnut) i noticed outside of the race, a team would be very happy and welcoming to certain former drivers (example: Pierre visiting AT or Carlos with McLaren) ooor teams making sure the driver gets a good deal out of their contract extension (example: Redbull to Daniel) or or or team principals defending their drivers while giving positive criticism/feedback on what the driver needs to do to improve

Red Bull: Max, Daniel, and Sebastian

Alpha Tauri: Pierre (click me to see reason) And maybe to an extent Yuki but let's wait and see

Note: let's not go into the technicalities (example: strategy call and upgrade feedback) regarding this team

Mercedes: Sir Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Antonelli

A cult exposed.

Let me tell you a funny story, by a cult called teamlh. If you're into F1, you're gonna need to hear this:

So it all started on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, date is 4th of September '22, Lewis Hamilton lost a formula race that he was never winning. He was so angry and pissed off on the radio. Which made his beloved fanbase 'cult' very angry, and they needed to throw the blame on someone.

Truth is though, that he lost mostly because Max is much more superior and he had a better performing car. But main reason was strategy that was executed by the beautiful Hannah Shmitz. She handled the race perfectly after a unfortunate VSC caused by Yuki Tsunoda's car's mechanical issues.

Also, Hamilton made a mistake at the restart. But that's just normal for him now

So teamlh, as we agreed, needed something to throw the blame at and quick...So of course, as the gorgeous fanbase they are, they chose the successful woman in a sport that's lacking heavily in women in high positions.

Before being deleted, this horrible tweet had hunderds of likes from the fanbase 'cult' and horrendous comments like

Then we have a twitter page called @teamlh that made a statement about their fellow teamlh members and called them out for the disgusting behavior. And to everyone's surprise, Lewis freakin' Hamilton liked the tweet AND EVEN RETWEETED IT.

We also have a statement made by Alpha Tauri who received a huge amount of abuse from teamlh since yesterday (we're not gonna even mention death threats directed at George Russell and Max Verstappen here cause that's just expected and lame)

As you can imagine, the tweet got attention, it had almost 20k likes before it was deleted (we'll get to that). But teamlh 'cult' got so upset about being exposed like that for that abuse. So naturally, they started abusing the @teamlh admin, as one would do. Because, and I kid you not, calling out their abuse would make them look bad!

so, @teamlh account did the only thing their brains told them to do when getting abuse from abusive people for calling out their abuse, which was to delete the tweet and apologize for it. I swear down on my nan's grave.

Yep you're reading this right, they're apologizing for calling out sexist abuse towards a woman for, checks notes, doing her job. An abuse made by people who have 2000 to 13000 followers btw.

And of course we have the conspiracy theorists from teamlh from yesterday who didn't shut up for a second about how Max' win yesterday was a 'wheelgate' and racist and a hate crim. But that's a story for another day.

And there you have it, the story of a cult born and exposed.

Livery Watch 2024

Well I am typing this out way earlier than I expected (thanks McLaren), but I legit had so much fun rating and yelling about all the different team liveries last year that I'm going to do it again this year.

This was going to be my wishlist/prediction post for each team but lo and behold McLaren revealed their 2024 livery today, so I'll be talking about the remaining 9 teams instead, and I'll go a little bit more in-depth in the reblog below about McLaren's 2024 livery.

Red Bull: As much as I desperately yearn for a return to the glossy dark metallic blue livery of the early-mid 2010s, I am 90% sure we're going to see the same livery on their car they've used since 2016, but with the usual annual sponsor logo adjustments

Mercedes: Given how positively their return to an all black livery was perceived, I think we'll see the same thing on the car this year with very subtle silver and Petronas teal accents. (However a piece of my heart would certainly be very happy with chrome silver as an alternative!)

Ferrari: Also asking Ferrari to ditch the matte paint but I know it won't happen. I honestly loved last year's livery, especially with the text logo on the rear wing, but if they go for a more burgundy leaning red like their 1000th race livery then I will have never said anything bad about Ferrari ever actually.

Aston Martin: Zero notes. Though if I see any exposed carbon I will be suing Lawrence Stroll for emotional damages.

Alpine: I am actually a blue and pink livery apologist (the all over pink is still extremely beloved though!!) so hopefully we'll have more of the same this year.

Williams: I've really loved the geometric blue tile livery they're ran for the past couple of years, my only tweak would be to use slightly lighter shades of blue since overall last year's grid did look quite dark last year with all the exposed carbon. I'm also echoing what I said last year in that a total switch up to the white to blue ombre livery the team ran during their RoKit sponsorship years would be really nice to see.

Sauber: No I'm not calling them Stake F1 Team Sauber, I have better things to do with my time. It's just Sauber. Anyway, I'm expecting the livery to be quite a drastic change as part of the rebrand from Alfa Romeo to Stake, and if we're taking hints from their big social media overhaul I think there's going to be a lot of black and neon green (I do think that they're going to be treading a fine line between looking really nice or the W15 ordered off Wish)

Alpha Tauri/Racing Bulls: I honestly loved the navy and white Alpha Tauri liveries, imho they were really stylish and made them look like less of a Red Bull junior team. I don't really know what their rebrand is going to look like, so in the mean time I am going to yearn for a return to the iconic Toro Rosso drinks can livery from 2017 and 2018.

Haas: Unless Moneygram join the exodus of departures from Haas, I think we're going to see some kind of black and white livery with red accents. Personally I'd like there to be more red and a glossy black (matte pain continues to be my behated) but like with Red Bull if it ends up being a nearly identical livery to last year then I won't be surprised.

oh god I have many races that I hold dear to my heart, I couldn’t list them all💀but for ranking of all the teams…🌚

1. ferrari—it’s stockholm syndrome

2. red bull—it’s honestly just for maxiel and something about them being the villain. plus red bull seb my beloved!

3.mclaren—would be so much better if zak brown wasn’t there!! they lose points for what they did to daniel

4. williams—they just treat their drivers so well, even for a lower team and I’m delusional enough to think they can become one of the best teams again. and I love alex

5. alpha tauri—they are only this high because I love daniel and yuki. but otherwise they’d probably be lower lol

6. alfa romeo—valtteri and zhou are just adorable, but bless their hearts for having to deal with ferrari engines

7. aston martin—I honestly don’t have much of an opinion on them. they are there and I love the green so

8. mercedes—eh they don’t offer me much except a hot team principal

9. haas—they are funny but I’ll never forget the way they treated mick like shit

10. alpine—both drivers scare me and they are french (derogatory)

Cursed Austria

I’m rewatching the qualifying right now, because I wasn’t at home and only could watch a bit on my way home on my mobile phone. I don’t know why I punisch myself so much because it still hurts.

So what we had today?

Q1:

Both McLarens struggeling because of issues? Okay I think they fixed the problem on daniels car in the end of FP1 but his whole practice session was about to figgure out what the hell was wrong right? Damn. But I guess this track doesn’t suit this car anyways but of course I’ve been silly to have hopes it will be better than Silverstone.

Daniel ended on P16 and his time was goddamn close to get into Q2. But to be honest I didn’t want to see Pierre out in Q1 either. I really don’t want to decide wich one should have got into Q2. Even I would prefer Daniel if I have to.

Again both Aston Martin were out in Q1 as well and Seb’s last lap got deleted and he ended on P20. But due of Bottas grid penalty he will start on P19. But maybe he can gain some positions during the sprint race tomorrow. He did very well in Silverstone last weekend and I’m sure he can do it again!

Q2:

One of the most frustrating things in Q2 was Norris, who told his engeneer that he would be afraid of useing the brakes? What the actual fuck? This is horroble. A driver needs to have faith in his car and being afraid of braking is one of the worst things which could happen. Fuck!!!!!

And another qualifying without my beloved Alpha Tauri guys. It hurts so much. But why didn’t they delete Perez lap during the qualifying? He absolutely crossed the track limits and wouldn’t be in Q3. I really don’t understand the fact why they investigated this case of track limits afterwards while they deleted every other’s drivers laps before? This is ridiculous! Because of that Gasly couldn’t go into Q3 and didn’t had the chance to improve his time. I don’t know if he could have but yeah Gasly was robbed in my opinion!

But to end Q2 with something really positive. Both Haas made it into Q3 and I couldn’t be happier for Mick. Please let him have a good weekend when everyone of my other favourites have issues on the car or are struggling like hell or have been robbed.

Q3:

Not a good start into the austrian gp for Mercedes. Lewis had a fantastic lap and then crashed into the wall. And can we talk about those ‘fans’ who were cheering about lewis crashing out? Are you fucking serious? It’s okay to don’t like a driver but cheering when he crashs out is the shittiest behavior I can think of. Espacally after we have seen what frightening accidents can happen last weekend. I have really no words left to tell you how I feel about this. I’m truly disgusted of this kind of behavior. When you booing or cheering because someone have a crash, you can’t consider yourself as a F1 fan in my opinion.

The next Mercedes in the wall. Right after the Q3 session has been restarted, Russel crashes out either. I was sitting in front of my phone and couldn’t believe what was happening. Mercedes are finally both back with a good pace and everything and they crahed out. It’s more than frustration for me right now. Let’s hope the mechanics are making a good job right now to repair the cars.

And how close was it between Max and Charles? Max literally got the Pole Position in the very last meters of his final lap. This was really exiting to watch!

To come to the good things again. Mick on P8 and Kevin on P7 and with Perez deleted laps of Q3 thwy even start on P7 and P6 tomorrow! YESSS BOYS! Well done. Rocking the sprint race tomorrow!

It really looks like the austrian ground is cursed. This was a hell of a qualifying if you support McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpha Tauri or Mercedes. At least I think Mercedes can get their cars ready for tomorrow but I guess they could have fight for the third position today and it’s unfortunate that they couldn’t. But I’m still happy for Mick <3
