Little drama update: Simblrhonesty is trying to cover their ass now.

Since they're deleting posts where they either: made false accusations, said something racist, implied someone had some kind of illness, or just really anything damning really.

Yooniesim did end up seeing what they posted before it was deleted, but I do ask that anyone viewing my posts not tag the original creators. I'm not saying this because I think they couldn't handle all these weak insults but because not everyone wants to see this kind of thing. Unless they're asking to know if they've been featured then let those simmers be.

Don't force anyone into addressing this person. By this point I'm just documenting and archiving things for later reference. I can't imagine anyone genuinely liking this content (because it's soo ass.....like really it's worse than anything they've called out) but I'm not going to spread any theories.

Just very suspicious how they have all these adoring fans you know....anywho.

seventeen’s charms stand out in live performances, what do you care about the most during live (stages)? ww: i am also the same way (as minghao). the concept of the song and the appeal of the lyrics are the most important thing. your face shouldn’t be happy during a sad song, your face shouldn’t be sad during a happy song. letting go of distractions and focusing on the performance is the most important thing.

what is the point of focus for this live (performance)? ww: of course it’s hoping that the (1st japanese ep) DREAM gets attention. the dome tour is a dream to us. i’d like to perform with (feelings of) appreciation and love for carats whoo helped us achieve this dream.

Behind the Scenes: Special Officer 432 in General

This originally was a general write-up explaining the first two stories in the series and general idea behind them. Due to (frankly) idiotic design decisions of A Certain Website limiting the number of blog posts you can have, I intend to delete it from there and post new, expanded version (in several parts) here.

Since there will be a lot of crime, death and hornyposting mentioned throughout (and a wall of text, to boot), everything is under the cut. Enter at your own risk.

I’ve had fantasies of being an executioner since a long time. Almost twenty years, in fact. Of course, more fantasies put into stories focused on me being a victim, but I did consider dispatching felons on the gallows or guillotine (I didn’t think I could swing an axe or a sword). The idea to write a story about being the executioner came after discussing ideas and writing stories featuring other users of A Certain Website, one of which, “View from the Window”, resulted in the image below:

I started writing down a lot of importantly-sounding legalese in order to put it on scattered sheets of paper that would serve as the background for the story (aside from the fact that it was blatantly ripped off from Babylon Berlin, which should also explain why everything is dated 1931-1932 and has some less-important text in German).

I don't quite remember why I decided on the 1970s - most probably because I was fooling around with an AI image generator and the aesthetic of slightly faded 1970s style photos got to me. But then, just as I ripped off Babylon Berlin's 1930s Germany, I needed a setting, and I wanted to avoid both the predictable US and overly bleak Eastern Europe. I thought of Ruth Ellis and the UK, creating a fictionalized Kingdom that was and wasn’t Great Britain, with a couple of very British placenames, but otherwise very non-specific. The prisons depicted in each story have real-life inspirations, mostly British, but I'll explain that in detail in later posts focused specifically on each of the stories.

Writing a condensed synopsis in the form of importantly-sounding legalese with dates, criminal charges, potential appeals and pleas for clemency turned out to be pretty fun, even if a lot of that information wasn't included in the story proper. And since the stories were written with A Certain Website in mind, the legalese inevitably leads to a death sentence and scheduled date of an execution. I decided on short drop hanging as the method, which was historically abandoned in the UK at the turn of the century but practiced in Poland and Czechoslovakia until the death penalty was abolished there. While it's not my number one, it's still on my weird fetishes list - not only it takes longer than a long drop, but also allows the condemned to struggle for a bit, and I find struggling pretty hot.

After the second story and prodding my Pixiv account out of its long slumber, I got the idea to turn the concept into a longer series - mostly because Pixiv allows stories to be grouped into collections for easier reading of serialized content. And even if I don't get requests from anyone on A Certain Website, I can come up with something based on actual events.

Moving to Pixiv also gave me the idea to create 1970s horror comic magazine-styled covers for the stories - not just the Officer 432 series, but those I posted on my previous Tumblr account as well. I gotta admit, it's fun to create all those sensationalist lines that are interesting, yet vague enough to get you to read the whole story and find out what they're about.

spoilers -- spiraling thoughts

We are in the 2nd year(?) of NGS and we're finally at Chapter 5. Honestly, I did not have any high hopes for this chapter. Perhaps I've been used to SEGA's complacency with the game or used to being disappointed with each content update. --I kind of enjoyed this one though.

This chapter introduces a lot of concepts that were foreshadowed within the environment of NGS. (the artificial-ty of everything) With everything actually being a 300~ year simulation to fight off the starless. My thoughts before this revelation? I thought Garoa would return because his death was sudden but I guess this story has an addiction to sudden deaths because we got another one with Zephetto.

The simulation part being a real simulation makes the story way tragic. A lot of deaths happened just for this to take place and.. it worked. Makes you wonder.. just how strong are the Starless for him to actually take it this far? Or rather how weak were the past ARKS for them to be easily defeated? Also, was that the Oracle fleet being destroyed? Are there more Resurgent ARKS out there??

I've seen a lot of discussion in the subreddit and thought the multiple planets thing was interesting with the H-Alpha thing. Will there be a Hbeta, lol. Can we make this planet into a new ship please?

Anyway, Zephetto. The skull color reminds me of Xiao. That's all.

But to be real, I wanted more of that character. SEGA really likes killing off new characters for some reason, haha. (or will he come back?) I think I really wanted to know if there were more in the Resurgent ARKS chain of command. (thirsty for more talkative villains like the Photoners) So, I'm pretty disappointed in that front since we only got two and they really aren't the true villains! Welp, back to eldritch disasters coming possibly soon.

My theory, IF everyone in the oracle ship is dead, is that we get "reincarnations" of base PSO2 characters in NGS through cloning. I'd like to see if any of them survived the Starless attack and are in hiding somewhere in space too. The story after Chapter 5 has a lot more questions to what's happening out there. Here's to hoping we get to answer some of them in the Ultra Evo update.

I really wish we could explore Leciel as an open world environment though. (Photo Mode place!!)

Slayer

Along with Chapter 5 is Slayer, the class that fucking buffs a lot of the other classes with the crit buff and PP per crit thing. And also being a good damage dealer and insanely mobile..

Charged Stage 1 > Normal is a really good gap closer if you have no PP for your bread and butter gap closer.

I ain't good with this class but I do enjoy playing it with how infrequent the animation locks seem to be. I think they happen during the end of the 2nd half of Flowing Sirius. I really did not like most of the classes in NGS because I usually go into a PA but have to immediately block/counter then die to an animation lock. (skill issue) It's a really fun class though and it really invigorated my will to play the game again, lol.

Headcanon with this class is that they found records of Luster in the database and tried to emulate the style but got Slayer instead which is why there is only 1 style.

With Duel Quests coming up in a few days, I wish we got more static group content other than geolab and purples!!! Then again a lot of base PSO2 was solo quests. 🥲

SEGA update the other classes too!

BTW I think my mouse is breaking with this class. 😭

The people who live inside airplanes

How to live in an airplane (photos)

After losing her house to a fire, Jo Ann Ussery had a peculiar idea: to live in an airplane.

She bought an old Boeing 727 that was destined for the scrapyard, had it shipped to a plot of land she already owned, and spent six months renovating, doing most of the work by herself. By the end, she had a fully functional home, with over 1,500 square feet of living space, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and even a hot tub – where the cockpit used to be. All for less than $30,000, or about $60,000 in today’s money.

Ussery – a beautician from Benoit, Mississippi – had no professional connection to aviation, and was following the offbeat suggestion of her brother-in-law, an air traffic controller. She lived in the plane from 1995 to 1999, when it was irreparably damaged after falling off the truck that was moving it to a different location nearby, where it would have been open for public display.

Although she wasn’t the first person to ever live in an airplane, her flawless execution of the project had an inspirational effect. In the late 1990s, Bruce Campbell, an electrical engineer with a private pilot license, was awestruck by her story: “I was driving home and listening to [the radio,] and they had Jo Ann’s story, and it was amazing I didn’t drive off the road because my focus turned entirely to it. And the next morning I was placing phone calls,” he says.

A 727 in the woods

Campbell has now been living in his own plane – also a Boeing 727 – for over 20 years, in the woods of Hillsboro, Oregon: “I still stand on Jo Ann’s shoulder and I’m grateful for the proof of concept.” He has no regrets: “I would never live in a conventional home. No chance. If Scotty beamed me to inner Mongolia, erased my fingerprints and forced me to live in a conventional structure, I’d do what I have to do to survive – but otherwise, it’s a jetliner for me anytime.”

That’s not to say he wouldn’t do anything differently: “I made a lot of mistakes, including the whopper-class one: partnering with a salvage firm. Avoiding that and using superior transport logistics renders the costs much lower,” he explains.

His project cost $220,000 in total (about $380,000 in today’s money), of which roughly half was for the purchase of the plane. He says the plane belonged to Olympic Airways in Greece and was even used to transport the remains of the airline’s magnate owner, Aristotle Onassis, in 1975: “I didn’t know the plane’s history at the time. And I didn’t know that it had an old, 707-style interior. It was really, really awful compared to modern standards. It was functional but it just looked old and crude. Maybe the worst choice for a home.”

As a result, Campbell had to work on the plane for a couple of years before being able to live in it. The interiors are no-frills, with a primitive shower made out of a plastic cylinder and a futon sofa for a bed. During the harshest part of winter Campbell traditionally retreats to Miyazaki, a city in southern Japan with subtropical weather where he owns a small apartment. But the pandemic has made this difficult, and for the past three years he’s been living in the 727 year-round.

Intending to set up an airplane home in Japan as well, in 2018 he says he almost bought a second aircraft – a 747-400 – but the deal fell out at the last minute, because the airline (which Campbell won’t reveal) decided to keep the aircraft in service for longer than expected: “We had to put the project on hold and it stands that way to this day,” he says.

Campbell frequently gets visitors and even offers lodging in the aircraft free of charge, while in the summer he hosts larger public events with funfair attractions: “Artists perform on the right wing, guests dance in front or behind the wing in the forest, which for the big concerts becomes filled with all sorts of recreational venues. They’re not Disneyland class – just portable booths with different curiosities and little recreations, but they’re fun.”

If you think living in an airplane is extravagant enough, how about living in two? That’s the plan for Joe Axline, who owns an MD-80 and DC-9, sitting next to each other in a plot of land in Brookshire, Texas. Axline has lived in the MD-80 for over a decade – after getting divorced on April Fool’s Day in 2011 – and is planning to renovate the DC-8 and equip it with recreational areas such as a movie theater and a music room. He calls his grand plan “Project Freedom.”

“I’ve got less than a quarter of a million dollars in the whole project,” says Axline, who has very few running expenses because he owns the land and has built his own water well and sewer system: “The only thing that I have still left is electricity,” he adds.

For years, he even shared the plane with his children: “The kids are gone now, so it’s just me. Living in a house, you have a lot of space, but it’s all wasted space. My master bedroom is 10 feet by 18, which is not a bad size for a bedroom. I’ve got two TVs in it, plenty of space to walk around. My living room is good-sized, the dining room seats four, I can cook enough food for a whole bunch of people if they come over. I also have a shower and a toilet, so I don’t have to get out of the airplane to go to the restroom. The only thing that I don’t have here that I would have in a house is windows that open,” he explains, adding that he just opens the plane’s doors to let fresh air in.

The planes are visible from nearby roads, and Axline says that many drivers – their curiosity piqued – end up stopping by: “I have three or four people every single day. I call them my turistas,” he says. “They drive by and think, it’s so cool. Most of the time I wave them all over. I’ll say, if you got some time, I’ll give you a tour. And if I didn’t make the bed that day, who cares? Let’s see how real people live.”

Axline too was interested in a Boeing 747 – living in the “Queen of the Skies” is the airplane homeowner’s ultimate dream – but he gave up when he was confronted with the shipping costs: “The airplane itself was about $300,000, but the shipping cost was $500,000. Half a million dollars to move it. That’s because you can’t drive it through the roads, you’d have to tear it apart, cut it up, slice it and dice it and then put it back together.”

Airplane DIY

There are other notable examples of airplanes converted to homes. One of the earliest is a Boeing 307 Stratoliner once owned by billionaire and film director Howard Hughes, who spent a fortune remodeling the interior to turn it into a “Flying Penthouse.” After being damaged by a hurricane, it was turned into an extravagant motoryacht and eventually purchased in the 1980s by Florida resident Dave Drimmer, who extensively renovated it and renamed it “The Cosmic Muffin.” He lived in the plane-boat hybrid for 20 years, before eventually donating it to the Florida Air Museum in 2018.

American country singer and Nashville Hall of Famer Red Lane, who had a past as a plane mechanic, lived for decades in a converted DC-8 that he saved from the scrapyard in the late 1970s. Lane, who passed away in 2015, also had no regrets: “I have never, ever woke up in this place wishing I was somewhere else,” he revealed in a 2006 TV interview.

Send me a description of what you'd like me to paint for you, including subjects, size, and medium, and make sure to note if you would need it by a certain date. We'll also go over what general style you'd like and I'll get any references or descriptions I'll need from you.

• Once I've accepted the commission and received payment, I'll send you thumbnail sketches of possible compositions and colors and you and I will work out which one we like from those.

• I'll make a preliminary drawing from the selected thumbnail and send you a copy for approval or changes. This is where anything big can be changed. To protect myself from abuse of my time, I put a soft limit of three revisions on both thumbnails and pencil before you will need to pay a little extra.

• Once any adjustments are finished, I can begin work on the final and send you another image for final approval. Small changes can be made here, but most of the image will be committed to final at this stage. Once you approve, assuming all is paid, I can send you the final.

• Please allow approximately three weeks for a final image delivery. Turnaround can be shorter or longer depending on complexity of the project or outside factors, but this is a good estimate to keep in mind in case your project is time sensitive.

Delivery is in the form of a high-res (300+dpi) scan. Any versions I post online will include a watermark.

Physical delivery is not currently available.
