Guys please. Benoit Blanc wasn’t “hinted at” being gay in Glass Onion. He IS gay. CANONICALLY. Even if Rian Johnson didn’t confirm that Hugh Grant is in a romantic relationship with Blanc, if it was a woman answering the door, everyone would just assume that was his girlfriend or wife or smth.

The "Sansa reminds Sandor of his sister" motive that some people try to hitch to his character really just flies in the face of his actual attachments to her, doesn't it? Sansa reminds Sandor of himself. He sees the little boy who used to love knights in this girl who's been swept up by the same romanticism. He sees his abuser in her abusers, the much larger knight(s) beating on the helpless child. He sees how she is betrayed by every level of authority that should have saved her and remembers his father's neglect and Tywin and Robert's apathy for Gregor's crimes. He's protective of Sansa because he was Sansa.

And GRRM's design, that one of the strongest warriors in the series, a fearsome and cynical 6'8" guy who's "muscled like a bull" and has the face of death itself, sees himself in this soft and effeminate teen girl, and empathizes with her because he was an abuse victim too, is INFINITELY more compelling than "Oh yeah I bet she just reminds him of his sister," who he's never mentioned and who we know literally nothing about. Way to unnecessarily water down a character, you couldn't have ignored the black and white text more efficiently if you tried.

Jon and Dany failing is not an indictment on their abilities to lead or rule. They’re kids, they still have shit to figure out. Given “what was Aragorn’s tax policy”, I doubt GRRM will write a story that will feature the appearance of a most perfect ruler ever who will be a total success instead Jon and Dany who were tOtAl FlOpS. when you discard all rules i wont care to get invested into anything bc i know it will not be considered again, be done away with without any reason and wont have influence on coming or previous games ... bc there are no rules, anything is possible and everything can be changed any second, so nothing matters

(they also talked about the many viral videos of those very few dedicated people that make godzilla mechs in totk and how happy they are about that- i get that to some extent, but the way they kept talkign about it really just felt like it confirmed my suspicion that that whole mechanic was mainly implemented to let people do that since that gets shared around en masse making it seem like that is why people enjoy it while neither the game nor the narrative are build around it in any way ..)

it just makes all the time i spend thinking, feeling and theorizing about zelda like a true waste of time, bc nothing matters and there are no rules-

i am someone who greatly enjoys working with and around established lore/rules, its fun to me to recontextulize things by being smart or creative with it all without breaking anything or as little as possible of the established things!

Despite the fact Charlie confides in her, and despite Lucifer having pictures with her in his office and still has his wedding ring on. lois lane thinks bruce wayne doesn't deserve clark kent whose smallville heart is too pure for a tainted gothamite like wayne. not to mention clark is a literal superhero and the only good thing bruce wayne ever did is keeping the gotham's newspapers alive by being a right asshole of a billionaire. and a playboy. and an airhead who's also a playboy and who's also a drunkard who doesn't understand the meaning of public decency.

lois just manages to talk clark out of his ridiculous crush on wayne when clark kent, literal ball of sunshine, immediately decides to go and fall for tall, dark and broody, the gotham's so called dark knight himself. which isn't really a step up from bruce wayne. but at least batman's a hero. or a vigilante. depends on one's perception. all in all, lois is not amused.

she doesn't like bruce wayne because he's too showy and fake and she knows he's hiding something under that billion dollar smile and glittering bodyfit suit. and she doesn't trust batman because he's too secretive and cold and dangerous and she knows he must have already planned hundred ways to kill superman. see, she knows a little something about batman and it's that he has trust issues bigger than bruce wayne's ego.

but if she were to choose between batman and bruce wayne— better that clark pines after someone who probably will crush his heart right away with a few carefully worded sentence meant to strike right at the heart instead of bruce wayne who undoubtedly will use clark for one crazy night of fun and then leave him heartbroken with empty hope that will lead to nothing. because it's better to be let down from the start than being led on. because clark doesn't deserve to be a mere notch on bruce wayne's very wide, very much public bedpost.

that's why— after a weekend of clark eating a tube of ice cream on lois' couch while lois tells him all the cons of crushing on bruce wayne— when clark excitedly tells her that he's ready to get back on dating while he dopily stares at a grainy picture of batman on his computer screen, lois doesn't immediately go on a rant about how much of a stupid idea it is to try and court batman of all people. yes court because clark is old fashioned like that.

she has already crushed clark's spirit once, she leaves the honour to batman now. at least batman won't lead clark on and will be straightforward with his rejection. or superman. whichever identity clark chooses to see batman as.
