PERFECT QUESTION, but also so incredibly difficult to answer. (I'll try to keep the answer reasonably long. Whatever that means.)

As much as I admire 11amy dialogues, I primarily view them as... sort of indicators of how UNFIT 11amy are for language as we understand it. They're more about the primal reading of the word... language as an invention? The idea of building something as a means of exchanging for the sake of being understood (language isn't just words!!!!! like the language of trees!!! Tolkien could invent a language for 11amy I bet), they're like music!!!! Because even when music has lyrics, it isn't as word-centred (at least to me), and a similar argument can be used for poetry but just... Amy Pond is such a song of a girl to me for so many reasons, but I'll need a separate post for that. Anyhow. My favourite scenes are 100% those that acknowledge how... Of The World both of these characters are, more than they belong to themselves they belong to nature. (and this is because they share that sense of identity confusion and a state of being nameless... they are given titles... but who are they really?) Both of them have galaxies as stand-ins for flesh and blood... so it figures that their bodies are inclined to look for reflections of themselves in the outside. (it's all about love and loneliness, it's just mixed with sci-fi magic so it's brought to a greater scale, but it's essentially about finding someone like you, it's just that they see moons and planets when they look in the mirror) WHATEVER. THIS IS ALREADY GETTING OUT OF HAND. Here are my favourite moments. I suppose? I'm putting it under the cut djdjkdkd

It feels wrong to separate this into sections because 11amy are mainly about being a bit of everything so I'll just present my jumbled thoughts on these as they are. Adding links to past posts/tag essays every now and then.

IF A GIRL LOVES SOMETHING, SHE LOVES FASHION SYMBOLISM!!!! She's holding his clothes.....in a universe where their roles are reversed... after an entire season of 0% True Amy Fashion (WHERE IS HER SCARF???? HER BOOTS????? MINISKIRTS???? COOL JACKETS????? they're telling us she's Mom Material now so no more funky trinkets) she gets to hold this symbol of individuality and give it back to her best friend..... (yk... 11amy are the equivalent of an early adolescent's relationship with their freshly discovered favourite song... or when you finally figure out a haircut that Feels Like You... or whatever... their entire arcs are so intertwined with objects that function as living things (it's the whole physical vs./+ cognitive theme)...... the bowties the suspenders the little TARDIS Amy made the scarf the mask from the beast below... they're all like little movies helping these characters exist in more places than one regardless of timespace restrictions... I always think of it as an example of a story having an independent heartbeat, no matter how much the writing team tried to reduce Amy to the epitome of Goodness & Sainthood & Motherhood, her reality stored the pieces of her that were too much for them to understand or hold. And isn't that a metaphor for girlhood in a way?

I'M A MED STUDENT SO I LOVE WHEN SHE RESTARTS ONE OF HIS HEARTS... naturally... This has been discussed on my blog, but Amy is an equivalent of the heart of the TARDIS in every way there is (universe pouring into your head! too bright to be looked at -> how the story prefers Amy to be a myth rather than a person) and just... THERE ARE SURGICAL IMPLICATIONS IN THIS SHOW... seared onto my hearts.... holding the body of her imaginary friend.... they are like trees or the circulatory system to me (see the last photograph) they are only real when together..... (check this post for similar themes)

Spencer always thought you were too beautiful for him. Too funny, too brave, too confident. For years he feared he’d never be anyone you could love; he was the opposite of all your best parts, he talked too much about the wrong things, he went red whenever you so much as looked at him, and he couldn’t flirt back, not for anything. 

But it’s been a very long time since he felt that way. What good is a father who doesn’t believe in being yourself? Amanda deserved to be loved from the moment she drew breath, and he shouldn’t have been any different. 

Now, though, he’s wondering if he shouldn’t be so accepting of all her whims. “I am not wearing that, daddy,” she says. 

She’s just old enough to put together sentences but young enough that the individual words sound like building blocks, chunky and clumsy on her little mouth. Her lips are yours, her smiles and frowns one hundred percent you. (Though you argue with him often that the quizzical pout she does is all his.)

“What do you mean, angel?” he asks, bent over her sock drawer looking for a matching pair.

“You’re so much like your mommy it’s scary,” he whispers playfully, leaning down to pat her small back. “Okay, angel. I’ll find you a different dress to wear. Or maybe the dungarees!”

She lifts her chin up to smile at him. “Y’okay.” 

“Spencer, Amy!” you call, voice carrying from the kitchen. “Are you guys ready? We have to go soon and you haven’t even eaten!” 

Spencer used to sit at his desk daydreaming about you. He’d drink five cups of tea a day to get to walk past you for the kitchenette, hoping you’d be making a coffee, that you’d flirt with him over corporate rewarded donuts. Now you’re making him breakfast as he persuades your daughter into jelly shoes because she wants tall shoes like mommy. They compromise —Any will wear the wrong shoes if Spencer agrees to carry her to the kitchen table. 

“Sorry,” Spencer says as he pushes open the door into the kitchen. He's trying to be the best dad he can be all the time, but he doesn’t have a knack for the mornings like you do. “We won’t be late.” 

“That depends on how agreeable my lovely girl is feeling today.” You pick up the pink plastic plate you’ve filled with eggs, toast, and a mix of washed berries. “What do you think, Amy? Looks nummy?”

“Chocolate chip?” she asks, eyes already widening. 

“It’s breakfast, honey,” you say, scooping her out of Spencer’s arm to carry her to the table. “Chocolate chips are for dinner.” 

“Please?”

“If you promise to be really super duper good at Uncle Derek’s, then yes, you can have some chocolate chips,” you say, tucking her chair in, and kissing her chubby cheek. “You want me to make you milk or juice, mm?”

Spencer spots the two plates you’ve made up for you and him on the counter and quickly brings them to the table, sliding yours in front of you with a long-pronged fork, his hand on your shoulder to keep you in your seat. “I’ll get it,” he says, ducking down to kiss you on the side of the mouth. 

You turn to Amy. “See that, sweetheart? See how nice and kind your daddy is to me? He’s soooo nice. This is why we love him so much, and we appreciate him so much.” 

Amy nods emphatically, blueberries tumbling off of her plastic fork. “So much,” she echoes, her voice like melting sugar. 

He has a weird moment by the fridge where he has to grip the handle. “You know I used to dream about making you a cup of coffee in the mornings?” he asks. 

“Spencer, come over here and kiss me again, please,” you say, sympathetic and fond.

“Me too!” Amy says through fruit. “Me first.” 

“Oh, gosh, this is one of the hardest decisions of my life,” he says, sweeping in to dot your cheeks with kisses, hers then yours, three apiece.

It was around two in the morning when Javi got home from work. Today was draining for him. Him and Steve had a new case coming up and the paperwork and investigations were just exhausting. Javi yawned as he entered the apartment you and him shared. You and him have been married for almost two years but dating for about three years. He took out the key to the front door and quietly opened the door and entered in. He threw his stuff on the floor before going into the kitchen to get a drink. He paused when he say a note on the counter. He took the note that read:

I made your favorite for dinner, it’s in the fridge. Heat it up. I love you mi amor. ~Y\N

Javi smiled at the note but frowned a bit, he felt like a bad husband for always leaving you at home to cook and clean while he’s out busting his ass. You two haven’t really had a proper moment with each other. Javi quickly took a shot of liquor before deciding that he should eat the food you made for him. His heart felt light at the fact that you made food for him even though he’s never properly home with you.

Once Javi finished eating, he entered the bedroom. He stepped in quietly as he admired your sleeping form on his side of the bed. He chuckled through his nose before walking up to you. He kneeled down as he rubbed your back softly before kissing your forehead gently. “I’m home cariño,” he said softly, he stood back up and quickly changed into his sleep wear. As Javi turns to face the drawers, his arm hit a candle that was sitting on the nightstand. The impact caused the candle to fall making a big thud. Javi gritted his teeth as he catched the candle. “Javi?” He heard your groggy voice call his name as he turned to see you lift your head with your eyes squinting at him. “Shit, I’m sorry baby. I didn’t mean to wake you, go back to sleep.” Javi went over to you as he repeatedly kissed your head as he rubbed your back to get you to sleep. “It’s okay, I was trying to stay awake for you but clearly that didn’t work.” You chuckled making Javi sigh “Baby, I told you to not wait up for me. You need sleep.” Javi cupped your face as he rubbed a thumb over the apple of your cheek. You took his hand and kissed his palm. “You need sleep too.” Javi sighed knowing that you were right, he let go of your cheek as he went to put on his sleepwear. You watched him as you did, “How was your day?” You asked him through a yawn making him chuckle, “Same old shit. Steve being a pain in the ass like always.” You rolled your eyes before laughing at him, Javi got into bed with you as he pulled you into his chest. “Anything exciting happening?” You asked him once more as you drew shapes on his bare chest, Javi sighed as he also drew shapes on your arm. “Starting a new case. Not that much detail yet, but I’m pretty sure it will be more of a shit show than Escobar. Motherfucker was not giving us a break. I’m pretty sure that this case will— Javi stopped his sentence as he heard you start to snore. He looked down at you in his arms to see you passed out. Javi couldn’t help but laugh, and he shook his head. “Guess I bored you with my job cariño,” He joked before kissing your head a few times, “Sleep tight, mi amor.”
