THROWING SOME SONIC HEADCANONS ON U

Sonic

-He always has a bruise or scratch on him somewhere even if he hasnt fought eggman in a few days. there. is. always. one.

-He's also COVERED in scars. Theyre either covered up by his fur/quills or theyve faded over the years.

-When sonic showers he uses a bottle that can be used for shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, mascara, ketchup, pepsi and a microwave.

-Sonic only really likes physical touch like hugging when he's seriously injured or in pain (example A. sonic prime and frontiers). Also he doesnt mind it when he's doing it to someone else.

-Sonic paces when he's worried, thinking or waiting for something. (Shadow does this too just less)

-Sonic fidgets in his sleep a LOT. He'll falls asleep on his back and wake up with his legs half off the bed and the duvet on the floor.

-Sonic cant cook so he gets tails to make him dinner (he knows how to make chilli dogs tho dw)

-Sonic used to hum tails to sleep when there was a storm

-This ties in with the one before it. SONIC IS A FANTASTIC SINGER. This man is angelic. Also no one can tell me Rouge can't sing coz she defo can.

-Sonic has a draw of all the stuff from his past adventures (chips bracelet, this upgrades from sa2, etc.)

-He smells like man deodorant (Lynx)

Shadow

-He takes notes on how to be a ''real mobian'' since he was brought up on the ARK he doesnt really know how to fit in so he'll stalk sonic and take in how he acts.

-Shadow and Rouge have ''girl nights'' where they stay up, do face masks, eat pizza and watch movies. Just a sleepover pretty much. (Omega is sometimes involved to)

-Shadow sleeps like a vampire

-Shadow and sonic spar often (3-4 days a week)

-And if sonic doesnt show up to the sparing session he'll go find him and make sure he's ok that they are still sparing

-His bedroom is lit up by lamps, no big light at all just lamps and the window.

-He's INSANELY good at cooking and baking. Gordon ramsey ahh hedgehog

-Can speak every language fluetly, this includes few ones that are dead (this is smt gerald gave him when he was in the 'creation' sage oin the ARK)

-He smells fucking fantastic 24/7. Lavendar, rlly nice perfume (probably Rouge's), deodarant, anything! This man smells great.

Knuckles

-He has a really low spice tolerance, one SPECK of spice and this dude is like sonic in tmosth.

-He gets bothered by Rouge trying to steal the master emerald at least once a week.

-Works out everyday, maxes out the machines and just goes at it like it's at the lowest setting.

-Sometimes he'll ask if sonic wants to spar for the fun of it if he's not on Angel island.

-FEMINIST! (He loves women)

-Denise he loves rouge but will just get flustered if she makes on single flirtation towards him.

-Has tubs of frosting and a spoon at nearly all times (WHAT IF HE GETS HUNGRY ITS A GOOD SNACK)

Tails

-Tails puts on cooking videos for background noise when he making/designing a new invention.

-Tails info dumps about planes and nerdy stuff to sonic and sonic just pretend s like he knows what tails is going on about because he knows it makes tails happy.

-Tails uses his tails for pillows sometimes.

-Getes his little hair ruffled by everyone (mainly sonic)

-Likes making gifts for people as a way to say thank you

Amy

-Amy plays dress up with cream.

-Herself and her room smells like roses/flowers in general.

-Loves watching mean girls with rouge.

-Doesnt look it but is STRONNGGGG. Your telling me that she would swing a punch and wouldnt send someone FLYING?? SHE CARRIES THAT MASSIVE HAMMER FOR VRYING OUT LOUD!!!

-Crystals.

Here’s the cover for my AU! Just in time for the holiday <3 tbh I don’t know how to make good covers so I’m sorry T-T

Story synopsis:

Sonic and Eggman have been at constant odds for as long as they can remember. After joining forces with Sonic, Amy quickly caught feelings for the blue hedgehog. But after realizing he was in love with Shadow, she decided it was best to move on and remain friends. After an incident she faced with Metal Sonic, she gave him the benefit of the doubt, and befriended him. But because of her overwhelmingly kind nature, she chooses to protect Metal. Sonic however, didn’t want this. He did believe Metal could change, but he wanted him to show that he would first before changing his own attitude towards him. Now Amy is forced to go into a disguise under the name Grim Rose in order to protect Metal from Sonic and his friends. Because of her kindness, Metal is left conflicted in his purpose and programming. He was made to defeat Sonic. He was made for destruction. He was made to serve Eggman. He was programmed emotionless to remain loyal. But Amy has left him wanting to feel. Wishing he could have emotions. Wishing Amy could make him happy, the way he made her happy.

I’ve decided to push back the release date for actual pages I’m working on. This is just to see if y’all are interested, and to also allow me to figure more stuff out with the comic. In the meantime, I’ll post weekly concept art for it, as well as other Sonic art I have already made. I’ll start posting every Friday or Saturday (haven’t decided which day yet). Thx for reading of you did, and happy Valentine’s Day whether you celebrate or not, whether you’re with someone or not, I hope you have a good day! Reblogs are appreciated!

Shadow's development Headcanons

Started off looking like more of some .. creature than a hedgehog

Like way too many or not enough limbs, especially because of the Black Doom DNA

I'm imagining him having one eye and being more of a scaly texture but still oddly goopy lol as well as not having hands or fingers and instead having some tentacle type things

Between getting experimented on and his normal growth he eventually grew to look like a normal mobian hedgehog with some key differences

The differences being, the whites of his eyes having a light green tint, too many teeth, every joint is double jointed, quills that are unable to fold down/look relaxed, sharp claws, etc, etc

I also think it'd be fun if one of his feet had one or two extra toes :3

I think at some point during his development he looked like Stitches alien form (from Lilo and stitch)

Whether he can still regrow the limbs now, Gerald manually rewrote his DNA, or one day he just lost the ability to use them is up to you bc idk

Maria watched Shadow grow up essentially from a weird amoeba looking splotch to a semi grown Hedgehog

I headcanon that Shadow's body didn't look like it does now when he originally went into stasis, and he grew while in containment

Hedgehogs aren't supposed to lose quills unless they're under high stress. I think Shadow sheds a lot by nature, and he frequently has to brush his quills to make room for the new ones growing

Teaching Shadow to talk was a rough process. Mostly because he didn't always.. have a mouth.. or hands... so Maria and Gerald had to be on top of figuring out new ways to communicate, just in case

Perfecting his design was painful, Shadow could gain or lose random parts of his body, organs could be grown wrong and bones had to be corrected and moved over and over again, just for the sake of a "perfect" life form

They'd put Shadow back in the Green Tube when they knew a long process was going to be painful, but sometimes he would need to be awake so they could watch his development, but I would hope at least Maria would fight for these processes to be as few and far between as possible

The first words Shadow said were "Maria", "sister", and "pick up"

It took years before Gerald was finally happy with Shadow's look, and even after that he was still being experimented on to track the progression of his steadily growing powers

Things like his enhanced memory, speed, agility, strength, etc

I think Shadow was given his inhibitor rings for ease of retrieval and containment, and it was an easy way to keep track of his powers while not letting him over use them

This is not to say there was nothing redeemable about his childhood. He technically still has good memories to look back on, after all he still had Maria

Anyways uhm yeah, I'm going to post this without proofreading it hopefully that doesn't backfire :D

I just realized that two of my most favorite fictional trios contrast each other. One of the trios is the Triple S (Sonic, Silver & Shadow the hedgehogs) & the other is the Three V's (Vox, Valentino & Velvette). How do each of them contrast each other? Well... Sonic contrast Vox. Vox depends on visuals when sharing Info (Refer to Episode 2 during "Stayed Gone"), while Sonic only does audio when sharing info. Plus, when Sharing info, Vox does it publicly instead of only directing it to the person they wanna send the message to, Sonic will do the opposite Shadow & Valentino are opposites from each other. Shadow does not like being with people, 'specially in a romantic/sexual relationship. Valentino is the opposite of that. Another difference is how the fandom treats them both. The Sonic fandom wants Shadow to have a good day, for him to be happy. The Hazbin fandom wants Valentino to die. Meanwhile with Silver & Velvette, Silver is a happy boi who respects everyone he meets & is humble with them. Velvette is flat out Respect less to everyone she meets. Triple S are heroes who help those in need, while the Three V's have a theme with them manipulating everyone Anyways I'm gonna make a Swap AU called "Triple S-V's Swap AU" Where Triple S & Three V's swap places >:3

Sonic Characters At Parties

In the spirit of the fact it's my birthday, teehee -wanted to make a headcanon post about what the characters do/how they they act at parties (not necessarily birthday ones!)

Sonic: This man is the life of the party (Pt. 1) - in the wise words of Kesha, the party don't start until he walks in. He's loud, he breakdances, he belts in karaoke, and he shovels food in his face. Get him on the music because he's about to play the sickest beats. However, this comes at the cost of Sonic needing a total 'me' day to himself after. He fucks off and runs to spend time all day by himself in nature to recharge his social battery.

He's a professional troll when invited to fancy gatherings - and will find a way to play innapropriate music on the speakers.

Tails: A lot more muted compared to his friend, but he tries to get involved with the party in every way he can. He'll join Sonic on the dance floor and somehow can do a robot dance better than Omega can (everyone is still trying to figure out how that works). He won't sing karaoke unless he's singing in a group though, and in the case of birthday parties - this fox WILL find a way to sneak an extra slice of cake. Will also help Sonic in his music antics at fancy gatherings.

Knuckles: In most instances, he stands awkwardly by the snacks like an NPC in the corner not knowing what to do with himself until he's dragged to the dance floor by his more extroverted friends. Sonic drags Knuckles into a dance battle and they become the centre of the attention because these boys can DANCE. Somehow they end the night on the karaoke stage singing a duet of Breaking Free from High School Musical - screaming the lyrics to each other off-key, but pouring their souls into the performance.

Amy: She planned the party - without her - there isn't a party. She knows everyone's favourite snacks and everyone cheers when they see her reveal whatever cake she made for their birthday. She's a fellow life of the party (Pt. 2) - getting herself involved with the dancing and while not the greatest singer- gives her all in karaoke. She's also insanely good at party games and you know for a fact that she's going to find a way to incorporate truth or dare into the night.

Rouge: Girl has a mission, okay? And that's to stir up as much chaos as possible. She's life of the party (Pt. 3) - and uses the opportunity to get as much gossip as possible. She causes trouble and has so much fun doing it - last time, she managed to make a food fight break out and it was the time of everyone's lives. She basically wins almost any party game she joins but that's usually because she's shamelessly cheating. Either way, she also enjoys dancing and singing in the karaoke - and has got a pretty decent voice actually.

If she's ever invited out somewhere high class, girl is leaving that party several times richer.

Shadow: He warps in, takes a slice of cake, and leaves. Rouge signed his name in the happy birthday card, that's enough right?

He made one exception to this on Rouge's last birthday party where he actually joined in on things. He spent the first half brooding in the corner with a plastic cup of punch until the Sonic and Knuckles dance battle broke out. Sonic taunted Shadow to get involved - and get involved he did. No one could have been prepared for how fucking good Shadow was - putting Sonic and Knuckles to shame. Was that the end of the surprises? No, because he busted out broadway vocals during karaoke. Perks of being the Ultimate Life Form.

Silver: In complete contrast to the above hedgehog, Silver has a great time at parties - but he sucks ass at dancing. He's giving it his all but he's totally off time and his movements are just... very bizzarre, or they're just giving nothing. They're the equivelent of the "go white boy go" meme. But he's trying his best and he's having such a good time that no one can fault him. He also doesn't mind giving karaoke a try but isn't amazing at it either, but nothing can kill this man's vibes.

Blaze: She's a lot more reserved in parties compared to her friends and tends to stand off to the side a bit while everyone else is being loud and wacky. She CAN dance... but her dancing style is more ballet than anything else. She joins in a bit but usually goes off the dance floor after a couple of dances, happy to linger by the snacks. However, she has beautiful vocals in karaoke - and the party takes a moment to slow down as Blaze treats them to a soft ballad.

Omega: Doesn't even wanna be here, but hey - Rouge drug him to it, what's a robot to do? He doesn't care if it's someone else's birthday, HE'S the one who gets to destroy the pinata. He might join in a dance or two with enough coaxing and his hidden bluetooth speaker function often comes in handy. But overall, would much rather stay at home with Shadow.

Song: Milky Way Wishes (extended)

Final 3 posts for the challenge, almost there...!

Day 28 brings a nostalgic face around-- mostly for me, at least. Marx, the chaotic jester who originally debuted in Kirby Super Star, rolls on in!

Marx has gotta be one of my earliest favorite characters that comes to mind, much like Rosalina and Shadow the Hedgehog. With my first game being Kirby Super Star Ultra, I had a LOT of memories with that game. What enchanted me the most as a kid playing that game though has gotta be Milky Way Wishes as a whole. Even if Marx betrays you and has a rather horrifying soul form in the true arena... I don't know, he's still a favorite of mine. Goes way back to the childhood era for sure. I was very very happy to see that he's a playable character in Kirby Star Allies too!

Hmm, maybe I will boost up KSSU again and hope it still works, would be nice to relive some memories~

Once again, I’m typing this out just minutes after seeing the new pages. Because I saw this singular sliver of pink on Sonic’s chest behind the text bubble and now I’m going g full Game Theory Mode.

(Don’t know how messy this is gonna be so bear with me please)

ALSO HAPPY NEW YEAR HOPE 2024 IS GOING WELL FOR YOU SO FAR!!!!

So! It’s uh… It’s been a while since Sonic last slept. I think the last time we saw him get any proper rest was before him and Shadow left for Holoska. We don’t know exactly how much time had past for them when they were in the cavern, but we can safely assume it was more than just 2 or 3 hours. They were most likely there for nearly ten, given the villager’s reaction to them returning. And then they immediately had to go fight Omega, or at least Sonic did, and that was a whole battle full of adrenaline and anger fueled by the previous fight between Sonic and Shadow. So by this point, I’m not surprised to see Sonic knocked out cold.

What I am shocked to see however, is that little teeny-tiny sliver of pink that I mentioned on Sonic’s chest… What’s even more intriguing is the fact that Sonic’s entire face is obscured by either the panel borders, or the text bubbles. This obviously and unfortunately means that Dark Gaia’s influence on Sonic is getting stronger and stronger by the day, and the hedgehog’s recent fights have had a huge impact. This also means Sonic can’t hide from his friends anymore, and he’ll likely be avoidant towards them altogether if he can.

Obviously though, this will only make things worse for him and Shadow since Sonic’s negative emotions are what is making the influence stronger. In this sense, Sonic is making himself dangerous, he’s turning himself into a weapon. This is actually making me think: What if Omega being influenced by Dark Gaia was just a test? Just a warning by Dark Gaia that showed Sonic what would happen if he fell too deep, if he succumbed too much. Omega lost his autonomy to the God of Sadness himself, so why can’t Sonic…?

ALSO OMEGA ISN’T DEAD YET LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEEEEEAHHAHHAHAHHHHH THIS IS WORTH CELEBRATING I THINK 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Oki ignoring that terrible yet seamless transition, let’s talk about Team Dark because they deserve some love right now in these trying times. (Istg you and 2 whole other people are keeping the Team Dark fans afloat) First up, Shadow because he’s been in more panels than I can count lmao

Shadow, as someone who can relate to Sonic to some extent, feels this giant weight whenever something bad happens to him. He feels all the pressure build up into one giant boulder that he’s struggling to carry, and if he doesn’t get help soon, that boulder will crush him. Of course, the Ultimate Lifeform doesn’t care about that, doesn’t care about anything but Sonic right now, because he’s going through something similar and it’s just too much for Shadow to see a reflection of himself in the very person he sought to destroy just a couple years prior-

But then the weight gets lifted. Just a little bit, just so much to make it only a little lighter. But it’s lifted regardless, and when Shadow turns he sees Rouge. The brains of the group. The one who brought Team Dark together in the first place. The one who only knew a fraction about Shadow’s past and yet stuck by his side anyway.

The only one who hasn’t been directly affected by Dark Gaia until now. (Except for Tails and Knuckles but we don’t care about them right now)

Sonic is not gonna be the same when he wakes up. He’s gonna look and feel completely different and he’s gonna be so confused and hurt and scared. But Shadow and Rouge and all his other friends are gonna be there for him when he needs them most, and that will be enough.

I wish I could say more on these pages because OMG THREE PAGES IN ONE UPDATE HUH EMERALD ARE YOU TRYING TO SPOIL US ARE YOU TRYING TO BUTTER UP TO US BECAUSE IT IS FRIGGIN WORKING. But with the new year comes a bunch of other thoughts that cloud your brain and there’s suddenly no more room for the really important things. Like anthropomorphic little animals that turn into bigger furries somehow and then harness the power of life itself to defeat villainy and then eat chili dogs for their every meal. Totally important, 100%.

Hope 2024 treats you well, and I personally cannot wAIT TO SEE SONIC IN HIS NEW GAIA FORM OMG OMG HE GONNA LOOK SO SPOOPY AND AWESOME AND HE’S GONNA BE SO INSECURE OOOOOOOOOOOOOO IM SO EXITED

Poorly written Sonic movie 3 pitch/outline pt. 6

Who’s ready to have their hearts ripped out?

Both of these scenes jump forward a bit in the movie. I usually write what I can visualize most in my head first and then go back and fill in the rest of the story later. I wanted an Amy backstory scene that was reminiscent of the scene in Sonic 2 with Sonic and Tails, even taking place in a little lodge in the mountains. I believe it’s already been confirmed that the ski lodge from the Knuckles series will be a location in the next movie, so I wanted to include it in a few scenes.

This is around mid-way through the movie. Several of the chaos emeralds have been found (one of which was near the ski lodge) and team Sonic decides to camp there for the night.

I also wanted a Shadow flashback scene right after it to contrast what’s happening between them and Shadow, as well as give some Maria flashbacks to really break your heart.

Amy backstory scene

Interior: Ski lodge

Tails and Knuckles are both seemingly sound asleep next to the fireplace, sharing a blanket. Sonic is on the other side, more restless. He rolls over and opens his eyes, seeing Amy by the window, looking out at the blizzard outside. He gets up and approaches her.

Sonic: Can’t sleep?

Amy: No..I tried, but I just couldn’t get comfortable.

Sonic: dang, we gave up the couch for nothing.

Amy smirks, rolling her eyes.

Sonic: I couldn’t sleep either.

Amy: Thinking about shadow?

Sonic: yeah. I guess I thought I could get through to him like I did with Knuckles, but whatever happened to him, however he lost Maria, it must have been worse than we could have imagined.

Amy: I know. We have to remember that his experience is different from ours. He was asleep for 50 years with only that memory.

Sonic: (shivers) yeah. That sounds awful. Eggman is using that anger to his advantage, but Shadow seems to know that. It was different with Knuckles. He didn’t really want to hurt anyone, he just wanted to restore his tribe's honor. Shadow just wants revenge.

Amy sighs and frowns.

Sonic: but I can’t help but feel that somewhere deep down, there’s still good in him.

Amy: You seem to be able to find the good in everyone you meet.

Sonic: I know what it’s like being alone for a long time. I spent 10 years being alone after I lost Longclaw.

Amy: You have a good heart, Sonic.

Sonic smiles, looking at Amy as she continues to stare out the window.

Sonic: Hey Ams, we never really got to hear where you come from. I’m curious, if you don’t mind of course.

Amy: No, I don’t mind at all. I’m not too different from you guys, I suppose. There aren’t all that many hedgehogs left on Mobius. A lot of them were killed because of the fear that they could control the emeralds power, even though there were only a few lineages that could. It was just me and my grandmother for a while. She taught me all about our history, with the emeralds, fortune reading, and how to spread love instead of violence so we wouldn’t make the same mistakes of our past. She was even the one who taught me how to use the cards. After she passed on, I was kind of on my own. I tried to honor her memory by finding out as much as I could about the emeralds, hoping one day I’d see them for myself, but I think I left out the most important thing she taught me…

She trails off.

Sonic: What was it?

Amy: Sharing the love I have with others. I spent so much time isolating myself, but I think deep down all I really wanted was someone to share all of this.

Sonic: We’ll, I’m happy to be the one you can share it with. I’m glad you found us. This adventure wouldn’t have been the same without you.

Amy smiles, her eyes water for a moment before she wipes at her face.

We suddenly see Tails and Knuckles walk up behind them.

Tails: we’re happy you found us, too. I was alone before I found Sonic, but he brought us all together. We’re a team now, and I’m so happy to call you guys my family.

Knuckles: yes. I lost my entire tribe and was completely alone, traveling the galaxy in search of my purpose. I never thought about what my father would have really wanted for me, and that was to find a new tribe of my own. It is an honor that I found that in you all.

Amy: you guys think I’m part of your team?

Knuckles: every tribe needs a wise and noble teacher.

Tails: of course! The more people the better!

Sonic: after all of this, you’ll always be a part of our team.

Amy: (tearing up) it really is good to be here.

Tails puts a hand in a fist.

Tails: this is the only way to make it official.

Sonic: Of course! How could I forget? An unbreakable promise that we’ll always be there for each other.

He puts his fist next to Tails, quickly joined by Knuckles.

Knuckles: it is the most sacred of earth oaths, the power bump.

Amy wipes away a tear, then ecstatically adds her own hand.

Sonic: Now you're officially one of us, and you always will be.

He pulls everyone together in a hug, and Amy and Tails happily join in. Knuckles looks a bit more awkward, but smiles anyway.

They pull away, and Tails yawns while rubbing his eyes.

Amy: Sorry about waking you guys up.

Knuckles: no worries, we were not asleep anyway.

Sonic: yeah, you can tell when Knuckles is actually asleep. He snores like no one else.

Knuckles: it is a technique to ward off any approaching enemies.

Tails: is talking in your sleep a warriors tactic too?

Knuckles: yes

They laugh as he playfully ruffles Tails hair.

Amy: Okay, I won’t keep you guys up any longer.

She walks back over to the couch on the other side of the room. The boys all return to their sleeping spots as well.

She lays down for a moment before sitting back up.

Amy: Actually, I think I’ll sleep by the fireplace. It seems… cozier over there.

Sonic smiles as he scoots over, making room for her to sleep near the fireplace without overcrowding her. She sets the pillow and blanket down, turning her back to the fire.

Sonic: Was it cold over there?

Amy: A little bit.

Sonic yawns and rolls over.

Sonic: night everyone.

Tails is already sound asleep, and Knuckles is audibly snoring.

Amy’s face softens as she looks out at all of them.

Amy: Good night, team.

The camera pans back as she finally closes her eyes. We see a shot of everyone finally sleeping

Dream sequence

Interior: Space colony ARK

Shadow is asleep on the ARK in an open room with windows all around. The earth can be seen through the windows. We zoom in on Shadow, whose face is cringing in his sleep. The screen flashes and the scene changes. Shadow is now sitting in the middle of the room with a book about earth in his hand. Next to him sits a young blond girl holding a book about various natural phenomena.

Maria: Shadow, the northern lights sound so cool! Look at these pictures.

The camera focuses on Shadow, who seems to be lost in thought. Maria hums for a moment, then squeezes at Shadow's side.

Shadow: (laughing) hey! No fair, sneak attacks aren’t allowed.

Maria: (also laughing) sorry, you just looked so serious. Is something on your mind?

Shadow: I don’t know, I’ve been in my head lately. I guess I just feel trapped. I can’t help but feel like we’re never getting out of here. If only the professor could find something, but no matter how many tests we go through there’s still nothing. I feel like I’ve failed you.

Maria: You can’t think like that Shadow!

She slams the book closed.

Maria: I know how you feel. I’ve spent my entire life here. I sometimes feel like it’s my own fault. If it weren’t for my illness, I could be living on earth and we wouldn’t be stuck here. But then again, if it weren’t for the way I was born, I would have never gotten to meet you.

Her face softens into a smile.

Maria: I wouldn’t trade that for the world. We'll get out of here and see earth together. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but I know that we will one day.

Shadow smiles at her and opens the book back up.

Maria: What's the first thing you want to see when we get to earth?

Shadow: I don’t know. There’s so many places I want to see, it's hard to choose. I’d love to go to the mountains and climb the highest point, or go to the city and see all the people and lights. And the ocean. Imagine looking out and seeing nothing but water, as far as the eye can see, as expansive as space itself.

Maria: That's a lot of options! I don’t think I know what to see first either.

Shadow: You’ve been learning about countries, which one do you want to go to first?

Maria: Hm, that’s a tough one. The states are massive, and have almost everything there. Mountains, cities, beaches, everything you could possibly imagine, but Italy has mountains overlooking the ocean! Oh, but I’d also want to see snow somewhere! Maybe in Russia, or Canada, or-

Shadow: (Laughing) slow down, Maria! Even I can’t keep up with you!

Maria: (laughs) I can’t just slow down, there's still so much more I want to see. Oh! You know what I think I want to visit first? Japan.

Shadow: Why Japan?

Maria: That's where all those comics we read are made, like Lone Wolf and Cub! And those shows like Speed Racer and Lupin! They have so much art, I want to see even more of it! And the food looks so good, and the cherry blossoms they have there are so pretty!

Shadow: You’ll have to learn Japanese if you really want to visit.

Maria: I’m already on it!

She pulls out a book about the Japanese language.

Maria: I’m still learning how they spell words, but I bet one day I’ll be able to have a full conversation!

Shadow: Do you think you could teach me?

Maria: Of course! Here, we can start by learning hiragana!

He leans over to look at the book with her. The screen flashes again, and Shadow is now sitting alone while an alarm blares in the background. Red lights flash, and we pan over to see a space capsule. Shadow holds his head, seemingly in pain. He thrashes and winces, trying desperately to wake up.

The camera cuts to Shadow sitting up out of his sleep. He cradles his head in pain as his breathing settles. When he is calm, he looks out the window at earth.

Shadow: Maria… They took that away from you. Your only wish.

He clenches his fists in anger.

Shadow: I will take everything from them, just as they took everything from us.

The camera changes to the outside of ARK, panning over to the earth.

With Round 3 concluded at last and the results revealed to the public, the contestants had gathered one more time to receive the news with their friends and allies. Hugs were exchanged, there were tears, both happy and sad, and above all else, the air was alight with a jovial spirit.

Kazuma Kiryu offered Makoto Yuki a firm handshake as the latter felt the “pling” of a new social link chime in the back of his head.

Whisper the Wolf carefully petted AiAi’s head, comforting the little monkey over his loss, all the while muttering “You still fought well…” under her breath.

Shinjiro Aragaki was mildly surprised (but not at all disappointed) that he had been bested by a tiny, blue bird and, when nobody was looking, pulled a little package of birdseed out of his jacket to start giving the victor their well-deserved prize.

Dr. Eggman ragged over E-102 Gamma’s performance, criticizing every little mistake he had made and pledging to upgrade and update the robot’s systems first thing he got home.

Hatsune Miku was very busy singing a fan-composed anthem to the badassery of Surge the Tenrec, which Surge mistook as a form of mockery, loudly screaming at Miku to stop and fight her “for real” if she really “wants to have a go so bad”.

Kit the Fennec didn’t mind his own loss, much too preoccupied by trying to calm down Surge a little. Tangle the Lemur, meanwhile, was happily bouncing all over the place, psyched to have advanced yet another round, eventually grabbing the nearby Whisper's hands and pulling her into a tight hug.

Rouge the Bat was posing and winking at the audience, keeping an eye open for anything shiny or glistening that she, ahem, might ‘reappropriate’ for her own uses. Haruka was too bewildered by all the strange sights around her to care much that she had lost. If nothing else, this had been a unique networking opportunity.

Morgana stood in awe at the sheer might of Bayonetta and her clearly unshakable ideals and was mumbling to himself about the likelihood of recruiting her to the cause of the Phantom Thieves.

Sonic the Hedgehog and Goro Majima were having a laugh exchanging their favorite one-liners.

Tails was surprised and psyched that he’d managed to defeat a being made of pure energy and information so decisively and immediately started to run the probability calculations again, which NiGHTs found very fun to watch. They silently hoped they'd be able to welcome the little fox in a dream one day.

Shadow the Hedgehog was still not entirely sure WHAT it even was that he had fought, but its insistence that his angry demeanor was most likely the result of unaddressed trauma and the resulting attachment issues still sat very wrong with him.

Amy and Cream were playing Hide and Seek together (Amy was not about to celebrate winning over a literal child.)

Futaba Sakura was too busy awkwardly asking all the cool fictional characters all over the place for their autographs so she could put the collected signature collection on her wall at home to be all too upset at losing against one of the more forgotten Sonic characters.

Absolutely nobody was surprised that Ichiban Kasuga had beaten Infinite. Not even Infinite. If one listened closely they could faintly hear Shadow the Hedgehog smirk and cackle in the background.

As for the two matchups not included here… Well… [TO BE CONTINUED]

Did sonic find his wallet? Cause how did he pay for the bakery on the train station to write Amy's name on a cake and pay for it?

Dis he lodge in their kitchen and make a cake in super speed?

See, okay, I was wondering the same thing.

There's three things we are told in regards to this mystery over Sonic getting the cake.

1-He lost his wallet, and so far as we know, does not find it.

2-When asked, Amy says that no, Sonic has not given her a birthday present (YET- Yet is the key word. This was in tandem with Shadow and his present for her.)

3- At the station, he claims there is a bakery near by that he spotted. Thus, he is able to pick up a cake.

Here's where I find a flaw though that undermines the whole thing: not only does he not have his wallet (so far as we are aware), but the cake he picks up is a custom cake. Any custom cake, particularly one with a picture and writing, needs to be called in and paid for in advance. That's just how the business works.

Now, to your point of, 'did he bake it really fast:' scientifically that isn't possible. In real life, you cannot speed up bake time to the degree that this senario woils require. However, we're talking about fictional hedgehogs. Maybe Sonic's super speed did a wibbly-wobbly time thing and enabled the cake to bake super fast.

Okay. That's assuming he can bake though. Or even decorate a cake to the level required to pull the one in-game off successfully.

Now, the answer to that would be that he and Amy have been hanging out more and she has taught him to bake, which is an awesome possibility, but I lean in a different direction.

I think someone called in the cake in advance.

Sonic's present to Amy WAS the cake, and, in knowing he can be forgetful, placed an order in advance at the nearest bakery to the station they would be arriving at.

Someone bailed him out.

To the second option, the one I like above all else, that someone who called in could be anyone, really, but my money is on Tails or Shadow.

Tails knows Sonic best. Tails would have heard Sonic agree to bring the cake, probably talked to him about, "Hey, are you really going to remember to do this considering you are perpetually busy and preoccupied?" then looked up info on the train and scoped out a bakery in order to keep both his friends happy.

Shadow, having Opinions on Sonic and assuming the worst, covered his ass and ordered the cake. Shadow obviously wants Amy to have a good day (else he wouldn't have even shown up, let alone the whole thing with the tickets), and, like, Shadow doesn't hate Sonic. I don't even think he necessarily dislikes the man. They have a difference of opinions, attitude, and outlook, but they are ultimately on the same team and willing to work together. It is not outside of the realm of possibility that Shadow would bail Sonic out. It's entirely possible that Shadow did this preemptively, but i think what is most likely is he overheard Sonic's conundrum of not having the cake/wallet/maybe forgetting other important stuff, told him he'd cover it, and placed an order for the cake while on the train.

These are all offscreen solutions with little evidence. Who actually knows? It is fun to think about, though! (and I'd be lying if I said I haven't been thinking about it XD).

EDIT: HOLD UP IM PRETTY SURE THERE IS ONLY A MICROWAVE ON THE TRAIN?? FOR SONIC TO BE ABLE TO BAKE THE CAKE HE'D HAVE TO FIND THE INGREDIENTS, KNOW THE RECIPE, FIND A KITCHEN, BAKE IT AT SUPER SPEED, FIND THE STUFF TO DECORATE, AND DECORATE THE CAKE. I WAS WILLING TO GIVE THE BOY THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT BUT I REALLY DON'T THINK HE MADE THAT CAKE XD
