I seem to have somehow accidentally really charmed laezel and kind of normal amount of charmed shadowheart, one seeming somewhat less impossible of a prospect, but laezel was... Well. Um she was very forward lol. I thought she didn't even like me. The ball of a sudden she's just right out the gates no warning no preface nothing just like "I need to fuck you SO badly oh my God" I mean my face when she said i "drove [her] to madness." like 😳 are you sure???? Are you sure about that??? On one hand I did kill an entire village of goblins but on the other hand of course killing turns her on. Honestly everyone want me but laezel was just so VERY forward lol. Like egads my liege. She was like "too bad your gonna fuck that half elf goth chick but your gonna WISH it were me!! SAD! oh well there's astarion" jdhckefifjsjwcj?? I'm fucking reeling. My god. Just talking to her is like a roller coaster I bet she fucks like crazy. I'd need hospitalization I'm sure if it
And astarion was sooo mean to my little guy he literally was like "ur disgusting lol. Go on now" and was quite rude!! I didn't even ask!! Like girls... please calm down. All because I saved the day. God forbid. Y'all are all crazy. I need to lay down I need help

So my unique thing is I can stop my heart beat for a 10-15 seconds. It’s pretty weird thing but I really like it.(doctors scared of me).
Can I request a jouno (or any characters you want), complained to reader that their breathing is too loud to sleep, so they jokingly stopped their heart beat only to nearly give him a heart attack?
I really love your writing, it makes me inhale and slurp your writing like a noodle and run away.
don't panic!
Tumblr media
synopsis - they complain you breathe too loud, so you decide to be a menace
includes - yosano, akutagawa, jouno
warnings - gn!reader, fluff, slight crack, teasing, wc - 642
a/n: i think that's pretty funny actually and that might be the best compliment i've ever received haha
Tumblr media
akiko yosano ★↷
yosano would never mean it in a harsh way, more as a joke or playfully. perhaps it had been a rather long day at the agency for her and a long day for you at wherever you worked and you had come home to yosano already half way through a bottle of wine. she was slightly out of it but you easily managed to get some reason out of her and get her ready for bed. she had pretty much pressed herself against you as she started dozing off before she stopped at started complaining you were breathing too loud. you tried not too laugh as you finally said you'd try and keep it down. it took her a few seconds before she started panicking as she couldn't hear your breaths at all now but that's when you started laughing and calmed her down. she made you promise never to do that again.
ryunosuke akutagawa ★↷
akutagawa would do it as sort of an empty threat and you know he wasn't that bothered by it. but still, it may of been a bit cruel to tease him in such a way but you couldn't help it. it had been a normal day for you and you could assume it was for your boyfriend, he never gave you much of a clue anyway. but what you did appreciate was the fact that he was trying his hardest to be more affectionate, so when getting ready for bed he would join you. but something seemed different as he asked you to quite down your breathing. you had half a mind to crack a snarky comment but you decided just to hold your breath instead. this caused him to lean on his elbow and look at you before telling you he didn't mean that and for you to breathe before you pass out.
saigiku jouno ★↷
jouno would only ever complain if he had a very stressful, overworked day but still would never mean something behind it. he came home in a rather grumpy mood and you knew he would come to you to talk about it when he was ready. even though it was rather late. but that was fine because if he didn't say anything tonight he kost likely would say something in the morning when he calmed down a bit. he practically dragged you to bed with him within half an hour of being home and you just went with it as it was rather late. you both were laying side by side as he rested his head over your heart trying to relax by listening to it, but then he perked up telling you to breathe quiter as it was 'disturbing him'. you stifled back a laugh before playing along but with the intent on completely holding your breath. this then started affecting your heartbeat which made him very aware of what you were doing. he lightly tapped you on the head telling you to stop that before you passed out as he leant back down onto your heart as you silently laughed to yourself.

tuesday again 2/6/2024
some weeks it's really hard to come up with a snappy little bon mot to put here
listening
Barbarella, by a fuck of a lot of people. yes i DID watch this movie this week! this is the single catchiest theme song i have ever heard. i cannot link the actual opening credits scene bc tumblr will censor that shit SO fast. spotify

reading
Tumblr media
Rebecca Roanhorse's Tread of Angels novella. this is an urban magic old west religious fantasy novella. VERY sangfielle friendsatthetable vibes, there's an old west mining town centered around the body of the demon Abbadon, which is being mined for its powerful properties. demons and angels have sort of interbred throughout the human population. there is some deeply nerdy catholic bullshit and i say that as someone who was in catholic school for fifteen years. actually let's just take Roanhorse's explanation
Tumblr media
the setting and premise are not where the novella bites off way more than it can chew. the main character, a cardsharp, has a chanteuse sister being held accused of a murder and she's got 48hrs to prove her innocence. the time limit and general structure is good, and it uses its side characters wisely, there's just a fuck of a lot of them.
in general, this novella does not have the emotional room to make its emotional beats really count. for example, there was a second breakup with an ex after a night of passion that mostly just left me confused. more broadly, the main character has an oldest sister's selfsacrificing nature that has twisted into utter ruthlessness with regards to her sister, and i'm both impressed Roanhorse managed to convey that in so few pages and annoyed bc i really wanted to see more of that in way more detail. due to the nature of it being a novella, the series of escalating decisions she takes feel very jagged in their escalation. i hope that makes sense.
it's got really interesting ideas! i want to know more about the ideas! i wish this was a full book instead of a novella, so the ending hits a little better instead of a Well That Just Happened way. from this interview it seems Roanhorse also wanted it to be a full book, but it was sort of a "i need something short and sweet so i don't go insane while adapting my other book for TV" (which is very exciting!!!)

watching
really a bizarre set of films. extremely unemployed energy in this watchlist this week. largely composed of "what's on my letterboxed watchlist and also available for free on tubi, with brief forays into hulu"
Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons (2013, dir. Chow). loved the overall visual design of the antagonists and the monsters, did not overall love this movie. it is a solid martial arts showcase and the first twenty minutes with freshwater JAWS are the most tightly plotted. it kind of flounders (lol) after that. can't find a gif i like.
INU-OH (2021, dir. Yuasa) genuinely healed my heart a little i think. queer (complimentary, not queer in the western massachusetts housing coop way) feudal anime glam rock opera. i am sooooooo picky about bad dads in movies as a driving force but this really soothed my daddy issues. stuck the landing on both storytelling and visuals.
Tumblr media
Barbarella (1968, dir. Vadim) WOW Jane Fonda was hot. this was both sillier and less porny than i was led to believe (if we ignore the softcore porn opening credits). however horny this movie was it was not brave enough to have some girl-on-girl action with barbarella and the evil empress, even though the evil empress never seems to actually learn her name and just calls her “pretty” or “pretty-pretty”. shoutout to the one fic on ao3 that rectifies this situation. certainly a piece of scifi history, i wish modern scifi was as brave with its theatrical set dressing, i think one viewing is good enough for me bc i cannot stop thinking about how all the women on set might have been treated.
john philip law popped up and i said out loud to my cat “hey i know him from cowboys”
Tumblr media
Flower Drum Song (1961, dir. Koster) got conned into watching this by the hotvintagemen poll bc i wanted to see what james shigeta’s deal was, and if he did have a sort of ratpack sensibility as the propaganda described. he does! however this movie is unrelentingly awful. it is so so so slow. all of its comedy is racism-based. it feels like a three and a half hour two-VHS set instead of two hours. i like to think i have a stronger stomach for older media and am able to consider things as products of their times but this is my upper limit i think. one brief fleeting moment of cool production with this triple mirror effect
Tumblr media
Dirty Dancing (1987, dir. Ardolino). we were trying to find something to watch on either peacock or hbo max, and when i said "oh i've never seen that" out loud my my best friend said "that's insane we're watching it". i did not hate this movie, but i feel like i missed some critical window of development in which i would have had to see this movie to really love it. i had sort of an abnormal high school experience and i am a smidge too old to relate to bildungsroman any more. but it was cute! it was fine! i think patrick swayze’s jawline could cut glass. this film was made after Roe v Wade (1973) and i feel like the backstreet abortion b-plot has done this interesting 180 from sort of a historical novelty to a real threat and terror again. fun!
Tumblr media
that’s it for the watching section i promise

playing
im doing the thing where i play a game for ten minutes, put it down, and then pick it back up again, which is probably not terrific for the health of my elderly switch. but whatever. what have i been up to in breath of the wild?
Tumblr media
not a ton of progress map-wise, but did make it up to zora’s domain.
Tumblr media
i was planning on the camel being the first divine beast, to get that over with bc i had such a devil of a time in my last playthrough, but the thing about the desert is it’s really far away.
Tumblr media
dicked around the dueling peaks stables for a while without managing to defeat that guardian and unlock that shrine. so it goes. i think i really need an actual guardian shield from one of the minor tests of strength shrines instead of a normie shield. this line and sidequest made me laugh— it wasn’t terribly hard to find this little cache but it was a tricky bit of gliding.
Tumblr media
didn’t realize the horses don’t have that much vertical threat perception, just like real horses. this little band walked right under me and i failed to glide down and land perfectly on someone’s back, which did freak them all out.
Tumblr media
i think my new favorite place in a game is this little grove clinging to the side of the dueling peaks. it felt very peaceful and cozy. nothing can get me up there and there’s more than enough room to make a little campfire and cook dinner and not roll off the mountain in a sleeping bag the middle of the night.
Tumblr media
also fully kitted out my house bc i had a very successful mining expedition along dueling peaks. EXTREMELY forgiving and generous secondary opening area imo, thanks game

making
i started this glitch sampler pattern by tumblr's own mathysphere (not @'d bc this is a fuck of a long post) at the beginning of the pandemic, june 2020, while thinking "eh let's give this friends at the table counterweight thing a shot" got most of the way through both counterweight and this piece, put it down bc i was so annoyed with all the confetti stitches (random one-off stitches of colors that aren't anywhere near other stitches of the same color. i think i resorted to fraychek at several points in the rover square) and then put it down so long i had to throw it out during the great moth debacle, bc it was partly eaten.
here's what it will look like finished, and a link to buy the pattern
Tumblr media
i think this time around i am a much better technical stitcher (the first crack at this i didn't know the loop method of starting, or pin stitches, or really any alternate endings except running the tail under the last few stitches). i usually stitch with three strands bc i like the look, but i think the loop method with three strands is overly fiddly. i have not picked up cross stitch since mmmm 2021, but any mistakes or unevenness in this will simply contribute to the glitch effect. i'm going to go back and backstitch the four "frames" and key portions of the sampler to highlight portions of the glitches (eg the yellow and blue centers of the spiral galaxy, the interior of the eclipse, perhaps add an antenna to the rover).
Tumblr media
still not my tidiest back, but hey. it's going to sit in a frame and not have any sort of friction or extra force applied to it ever
Tumblr media
i am really looking forward to framing this in a deep shadowbox, i have an idea about how to mat it with little melty cutouts for the drips at the bottom.

Personally i think rhaenyra is the rightful queen but honey .... Her dragon is ass... Im so sorry
Syrax is only a good dragon when it comes to flying and even then she only takes flight when it good weather... Meanwhile sunfire is a fucking beast, he was mauled and maimed and he was still throwing it down in the war.
It honastly makes the story much more enjoyable: bad dragon- good queen/ goat dragon-bad king
But honastly, after game of thrones and dany, hotd dragons and the claim to the throne feel second best, dany had the army, 3 very good dragons and was a peoples queen ( and then they decided to make her mad and it wasnt ever an good explanation).
And also i think drogon is one of the kost aeshteticlly pleasing and scary to look at
(ALSO DANY RODE THE DRAGONS WITHOUT A SADLE AND I JUST CANT GET OVER HOW MUCH OF A BADASS SHE WAS DOING IT)
Sorry for the rant it started off as my opinion on dragons and then i came to express my undying love to daenerys 😂😂
When it comes to the Dance of Dragons, I remain pretty neutral. I think the Targaryen dynasty was a whole disaster, and there were very few good Targaryen rulers. Both team black and green were bad, and both teams had innocents caught in the crossfire of war (Aegon and Jaehaera mainly, and people from Rhaenyra's side ended up killing her after the war ended). I think both teams suck!
As for Syrax, she has got to be my least favorite dragon in ASOIAF. She was the least efficient dragon in the war and accomplished next to nothing except for playing a part in Joffrey's death. She was lazy, and this is partly Rhaenyra's fault for spoiling her dragon, but tbf if Rhaegal was real I'd spoil him so I can't really blame her lmfao.
Sunfyre, Vhagar, and Caraxes played such huge parts in the war and were all extremely loyal. I love Sunfyre, and I hate to see people discredit him because they don't like Aegon. Aegon sucks, obviously, but his dragon is one of the best dragons in the series. I think it's worth mentioning that Sunfyre was one of the only things Aegon cared about, and that has to count for something.
Dany was the best Targaryen imo. Like, GRRM specifically points out that she's unlike any of the other Targaryen's that came before her, and Dany doesn't want to be like them, either. She wanted to break the wheel, but the Targaryen dynasty made that wheel themselves. The show completely demolished her character and everything Daenerys stood for. She would never stand for a massacre, and I doubt she would have ended up with Jon, either.
AS FOR DRAGONS
Obviously, my favorite of Dany's dragons is Rhaegal (literally my username, lol), but if we're talking about looks, I think Viserion is the prettiest of the three.
Rhaegal is still my baby, though 🫶🫶🫶

This is random but mama having curly hair gives me life! As someone who has curly hair, I used to be very insecure of it because my relatives and friends often called it "a bird's nest" or "messy" when in fact I was just young and didn't know how to take care of it :'(( and since it's only me and my dad have curly hairs, kost of them have straight or a bit wavy, and you know how dads are, they don't really care much for appearances, I didn't have anyone to ask advice, it was only until last year did I start embracing my curls, learn how to care and style them and to love em 💖 and now I'm embracing the "the only one who has pretty curls in the family" because I ate fr 💅💖
I felt soo seen when I learned mama and baby Benji has curls!💖 like yesss! Flex those lovely curls!!!! 😘💖
I just felt the need to thank you and to let you know so Thank you for the masterpiece! Ms. T! 🫶

This makes me so happy 🥹❤️❤️. Thanks for your words. Bet your curls are gorgeous! 🤭
For real, I love when you guys feel seen or related to the characters I write ❤️.
Love that us curly babes embrace that part of ourselves that many people has told us to hide or straighten away. The expense is worth it jsksj
And regarding Mama, most latinas have curly or wavy thick hair. So yeah hehe.
You just made my day 😊❤️
You go girl 💅🏻❤️

Cabaret has long been a success both on the stage and screen. Based on John Van Druten’s 1951 play I Am a Camera, which in turn was adapted from the 1939 novel Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood, Cabaret first hit Broadway in 1966. It was later turned into the 1972 film of the same name starring Oscar-winner Liza Minnelli.
The musical tells the story of Sally, an ambitious English singer who starts up a relationship with American writer Clifford Bradshaw as he observes the eccentric characters who populate the Kit Kat Klub in Berlin. Set between World War I and World War II, the growing unrest beyond the club's doors is ever-present as the artists within express themselves through song.
It features a score by Kander & Ebb made up of a string of songs that have become musical theatre mainstays, like “Willkommen,” “Don't Tell Mamma,” “Mein Herr,” “Two Ladies,” “Tomorrow Belongs to Me,” “Money,” “Maybe This Time” and, of course, “Cabaret.”
Jennifer Lopez Visits the Kit Kat Club for Broadway Revival of Cabaret (Exclusive)
Redmayne, who also produces the Broadway revival, has long said that Cabaret “properly ignited” his love for theater, while playing the Emcee in a student production of the musical over 25 years ago.
In an October 2023 statement, he shared, "It now feels completely thrilling and a little surreal to be a part of Rebecca's truly unique vision of Masteroff, Kander, and Ebb's brilliance as it arrives on Broadway, where the piece has such a history."
In addition to Redmayne and Rankin, the rest of the principle cast is rounded out by Ato Blankson-Wood (Clifford), Steven Skybell (Herr) and Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth (Fräulein), as well as Natascia Diaz (Fraulein Kost and Fritzie); and Henry Gottfried (Ernst Ludwig).
The cast also includes, Gabi Campo (Frenchie), Ayla Ciccone-Burton (Helga), Colin Cunliffe (Hans), Loren Lester (Herman/Max), David Merino (Lulu), Julian Ramos (Bobby), MiMi Scardulla (Texas), Paige Smallwood as Rosie, and Marty Lauter (Victor) — also known as Marcia Marcia Marcia of RuPaul's Drag Race fame.
Tickets for Cabaret are on sale now.

I dont knowhow much it would help, considering attitudes, but i have the urge to put together a sort of essentials watch list for authors interested in writing tmnt crossovers.
Basically a list of the episodes you need to watch to understand the characters, their arcs and their dynamics in the quickest and most effective way
I feel like it could easily devolve into "just watch the whole series" but i feel like it could be done.
Just... its so clear many crossover writers are working with incomplete info on the shows and characters theyre writing about. So i feel like some sort of primer, a list of the kost essential episodes to understand each shows teetles, would help a lot.
Idk maybe im dreaming.

something cool about the deities in tcol is that they have names derived from them that terraneans use sometimes. an example is kiba, who’s name is a derivative of the god of harvest, KIBARUM.
so that being said, here are some ocs in tcol who’s names come from deity names:
from MUINENS: miona, moira, muinena
from IIARAN: illiana, aran
from goodest boy Lath: luther
from IISIDIA: sid
from MIZDARR: daran
from EFFE: efelia
but there are more names that i’ve decided come from them that i just haven’t gotten around to using yet. so, in general so far some “common names” that come from deities:
m = masculine, f = feminine, gn = unisex
IIARAN: aran (m), illian (m) or illiana (f), ira (gn)
IISIDIA: sid (m), sia (f), sidia (f)
MIZDARR: miz (gn), dara (gn), daran (m)
MUINENS: muinena (f), nen or nena (gn), ina (f), inen (gn), moira or moina / miora or miona (f), mion (gn)
MIRANKA: mira (f), miran (m), ran (gn), ranka (gn)
YUTARA: yuta (gn), yu (gn), tara (f), taran (gn), tayu (m), yura (f)
YLENE: len (m), lene (f)
KIBARUM: kiba (m), kibaru (m), kibar (m)
KOST: koss (gn)
MARTH: mars (gn), art or arth or arty/artie (gn), mat (m)
BRULENE: bruno (gn), bree (f)
THE LADY OF THE MISTS: (based on her mortal name): ella (f), pine (m), nell (m) or nella (f),
EFFE: efelia (f)
the reason there’s so many derivatives is because it’s considered disrespectful to give someone the same name as someone else; they aren’t their own person that way. so even among family if you want to name someone in honor of someone a diminutive is usually taken.
for instance, let’s say you wanted to name your first child after your husband, jagoda (an actual character btw). you wouldn’t name your child “jagoda” you’d come up with a name derived from. so your child would probably be jag or daj or goda or dago or something like that :3

Just came back from Stuttgart Staatstheater‘s production of Cabaret and my first impression is that it was really dirty (in a positive and lovely way) but underwhelming in presenting the apocolyptical feeling that is the end of Weimarer Republik in comparison to other productions (London, Baden, maybe also Chemnitz from what I have heard). BUT, it is the kind of production that the more you think about it the more you realize how serious and grounded the sutle social commentaries are.
How this production deals with Tomorrow Belongs to Me/tbtm (a fictional Nazi propaganda music written by its jewish componist) is really really different from the other versions I personally have seen.
So, often, this music will pop up twice in Act I. The function of the first time would be to present the allure/charm of Nazism, its aesthatic and its feigned progressiveness, then The Emcree will mock it. This can be achieved by only singing the first two stanze of the song (just leave the VATERLAND part out), where the lyric is fairly unalarming and just nice to the ear, combined with having a harmony or a children's chorus sing it. The more beautiful and innocent this tbtm was, the scarier the reprise of it would be at the end of Act I. I also enjoy this kind of design, because it forces the auience to fight their own appreciation of the aesthetic and it is not that easy, you WILL catch yourself humming the melody unconsciously after the show and you will want to slap yourself for it. Because of how asthetically appealing this propaganda is shown, a huge group of esemble singing the full version of tbtm at the end of Act I also makes sense. People are drawn to this horrible thing, the audience can understant it because they would also feel the pull.
HOWEVER, in the Stuttgart production, tbtm was presented as underwhelming and unimportant, even quietened by Ludwig (that explicitly anti-semitic Nazi guy) after Kost sung it ALONE at the end of Act I.
The Stuttgart production of Cabaret doesn't go for the 'Nazi is asthetic pleasing/brainwashing' route for making sense of why would Weimarer Republik spiral into Nazi-Germany. It make the audience notice the chilling fact/warning that turning to right-populism can a case of making horribly wrong decisions for the right reason.
The character of Kost, the nazi sex-worker living in Frau Schneider's appartment, get alot more depth an nuances in this production. She get more stage time and also a new number, which is I Don't Care Much. Yes they move this song to the first Act directly after Frau Schneider threaten to evict Kost for bringing in the sailors. Kost acts like an asshole like in most productions, but the following number makes it clear that she was feighning her cheerful bastard personality. She doesn't enjoy sex-work and is always tailed by hunger and homelessness.
Her interaction with the jewish tenant Herr Schutz was also not explicitly enti-semitic. She did not evoke the stereotype of the greedy jew like in most production (and the original script), but insteat made a social commentary on how now in this world everything is about doing business and making money. For me this is her clear resentment towards capitalism, exploitation and inequality, which is a huge problem in Weimarer Republik. Because of this characterization of Kost, her singing tbtm ALONE at the end of Act I then being shushed by the explicit Nazi Ludwig is also very nuanced. The scene might feels underwhelming in comparison to other productions, but the constellation is clear: a proletarian suffering under capitalism full of hatred turns to right-extremism, and the right-extremist, while fully aware of the usefulness of rightpopulism, does not like how vocal she is with HER agenda.
Is Kost a lovable character in this production? No.
Is her turning to Nazism a right decision? Hell no.
Is her discontent with the economic system justified? Yes
Is her radicalization understandable? ...Yes
I never liked the simple 'nazi bad ppl were just brainwashed because propaganda was just that good' reasoning for why Nazi-Germany happened. The nuance of how rightpopulist political group exploits the ideology cultivated by (neo-)liberals and libertarians that their is no alternative ecnomic/socio-cultural system beside capitalism should be more present or become a common sense.
The choice of how to present the appeal of Nazism - through music or narrative - is also worth thinking about. The Stuttgart production seems to be intentionally avoiding the asthetic route. tbtm was actually presented twice in Act I. Besides Kost's solo number in the end, their is also this lovely lady/drag-queen Lena aus Essen playing it on a violin rather POORLY. Lena then said: "you weren't expecting this, right?" It is as if the production is encourage the audience to turn their attention to the mundane part of the dangerous (almost sensual in some hollywood films) appeal of Nazism presented by Kost: One would think that a party which doesn't dismiss their suffering and hatred like the current one, and even agrees with their irrational xenophobic/enti-semitic sentiment instead of trying to correct it like the current one, would eventually make their life better.
p.s. I remeber that in the original book Goodbye to Berlin by Isherwood there are actually some communist characters, also scenes about how they ran their activities in underground bars, and of course the indication of their terrible ends when the nazi got into power.

Hello I have a good question if you were going to make Hotel Transylvania 4 what would it be about
That's a good question. There was alot of wasted potential in the Transformania that we got. Mainly resolving the "what happens if the monster spouses outlive their humans" question, but also in unexplored dynamics and resolving whether or not Drericka are actually married.
As much as I like what they were trying to do with the "Don't try to change people" and "I love you for who you are" messages, Personally I quite like my friend @lovelylivelyv 's idea of making the possibility of turning the humans into monsters more about choices and who they are being what's inside that counts. (Whether that means actually turning them into vamps - which at the least would have been interesting to play with as a possibility) or the monsterization ray. Both Ericka and Johnny have found family in monsters and the ability to truly be themselves....so why not let monsterization be an extension of that? After all, if humans and monsters are basically all the same, why not? Haveing Johnny be 500% ready to become a monster while Ericka's more nervous would be a great way to play with the criminally under-utilized Jericka dynamic and would be a nice allegory for all sorts of things like being trans, religious conversion, coming out, etc. Mavis being called out on pushing humanity over monsters when it came to Dennis while chastising Drac and Vlad for doing the opposite would be good too. Include the female monsters in the human-monster switcheroo. At the LEAST, it should have been more about whether the changes would be permanent or not rather than the "Brave on steroids" we ended up getting.
Another route that woukd have been good is focusing on the Drericka wedding and bonding of Ericka and Mavis, which Mavis is also somewhat under-utilized as a character. Maybe having Mavis find out she was going to have (possibly dhampir) half-siblings would be a fun extension of her awkwardness in HT3. XD
Drericka having kids eventually would also be a fun way to play with some possibilities that didn't happen in HT2. For my Drericka shipchildren: "What if Drac had a dhampir that WASN'T monstery?" and "What if Drac had a kid that was more wild and adventurous, like Ericka and Johnny, rather than like him?" Plus give some interesting character development for Ericka, who's never had a mom and wasn't raised by the kost affectionate guy. I see her going the opposite way of Van Helsing (in contrast to Mavis, who more or less became Drac as a parent.) And being a really loving and affectionate dorky parent who would do anything for her kids BUT adding a nice contrast to Drac's neurotic overprotective control-freak tendencies (Yes, that's mellowed over the last 10 years. But he's still an anxious worrywart with a need to be ontop of everything.) Basically the fun parent without being the pushover Johnny was. And of course there'd be Vlad and Van Helsing as grandpas/great-great-grandpas, which it would also be fun to see how've THEY'VE grown over the past few years. (And perhaps the comedy of Van Helsing either claiming Van Helsings make better monsters than Draculas or Drac and him arguing about who the kid(s) are going to be like.)
Heck, even Ericka learning to fit in amongst a family of monsters, unlearning biases, and adjusting to her new life would make a fun plot. Seeing her being accepted by the pack and maybe finding a surrogate mom amd Dad in Wanda and Vlad. Her and Gryffin playing jokes. The continuation of the big Drericka shippers on deck (Frank, Murray, Griffin and Johnny) How she handles going from a strict and somewhat cold and lonely family situation (while I think Van Helsing does care in his weird way, he's not the best at showing it) where VH didn't notice her sadness (or worse, in the novelization she started to tell him about her changing views on monsters and he shut her down + intimidated her) to literally being surrounded by a crazy yet loving family. Dealing with the inevitable anxieties that woukd come up being surrounded by monsters in their space for the first time and how she would react to that. How hard she would try to fit in after having wanted a REAL family for so long and also having come from a family where you were judged by expectations. There's ALOT of possibilities there.
As much as I liked Transformania, There's ALOT of missed potential in the HT franchise that I would love to see explored.

Condal feels incredibly condescending ? Yes there are fans who have read the books several times and know the character as well as you. Martin is not in the writing team.
He is willing to whitewash everyone in the cast (including Aemond who is his mirror in the Greens) but Daemon can't have his scenes as an human being ? Maybe he was hoping we see him as the Joffrey of hotd, the dude everybody hated ? And instead Matt Smith made him the kost popular character of the show... oups.
But he is described in fire and blood as half a hero and half a villain, where is his good side in the show exactly? I know. in the deleted scenes we apparently won't ever get.
I'm not bitter at all...
I can’t believe i’m saying this but even D&D weren’t this malicious and stupid until the later seasons like wow who do the HOTD showrunners think they are like y’all are not making a masterpiece here lads 😭
looking at the latest thing he said, I think Ryan Condal is having a meltdown about the fact that people are criticizing his work what a fragile fucking baby oh my god 🤣🤣
Im so sad ryan isn't on any social media I wanna bully him so bad 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I do, in fact, think that I'm (yes, me personally) more qualified to write that character instead of you, Ryan. And bringing George into this as if any of is have a problem with how George wrote Daemon. He's just a pathetic man child whose ego got hurt and will not probably triple down on Daemon's bad writing because he can't handle criticizing. D&D are fucking saints compared to this PUSSY.

He is a rebel because in this oversexed world the phenomenon of asexuality is perceived as something out of the ordinary. Like a "sex" is a religion and someone who is a asexuals or virgins is a heretics.
