Let the latest patches add whatever new dialogue they write in, but Patch 0 gave me free range to ✨interpret✨ and this will forever be Greygold's canon, HA
For all intents, I did the hell heist as the last-last quest before the finale (So as to be fully prepared and supportive "finishing" babe's personal quest) AND BECAUSE OF THIS, I was tired. Greygold was tired. I was ready to beat the game. I was rushing. STEALING FROM RAPHAEL WAS STRESSING ME OUT. and I dared not go back. So even though Greygold did not want to go through with Haarlep's "game", I couldn't have picked a worse time to forget about their "always another way" philosophy Poor Half-orc was so determined not to fail Lae'zel's personal quest that, for once, ignored companion disapproval. And apparently, with Lae'zel not disapproving nakey Greygy, it looked like Babe was willing to retrieve that hammer no matter the cost either! Until Haarlep said they wanted nakey Greygy to play a "game" with them.
Babe disapproved that time. Babe, who's been cranky all this time, thought not even this way was worth getting the hammer for. Babe still cared about what happened to Greygold.
So by the gods, I happily reloaded and thankfully found a different way, HUAH. Thank you, Babe. Found out later that apparently going the Haarlep way would've suuuuucked. Saved by the babe. Thus I concluded why Babe was so cranky and can't kiss to save her life (I'm looking at you patch 6). And why Greygold's never had another hrm- pleasant conversation with Emps since the last time.
Poor sleep-deprived Lae'zel was bugged as hell killer coconut not because she was mad at Greyg, but because she'd been burning through all of her energy and affection by trying to protect Greygold from any further illithidry influence.

Tomarry AU with fake dating but not because of a rebound, no. It's because of the money. Yes, an au with Tom and Harry having a YouTube channel together. A couple YouTube channel. Yep. It's not like they like each other — oh no. It's strictly business. After all, it is a lucrative business deal — and that is true because they do take the dating world of YouTube by storm. (That was the plan anyway; pesky feelings are below me anyways. — Tom Riddle, in the mirror, at 3 am.)
An AU where both of them are roommates and due to shortage of funds decide to open a YouTube channel together. Especially after seeing how Abraxas' beauty blog was so successful, and so was Ron's gaming channel. An AU where they start a prank channel that end up becoming a dating channel because everyone thinks they are dating. And because Tom and Harry don't do anything in half's; they decide to milk it as much as they can. To them it was their best idea to date. Or a decision they would both come to regret. (Like Tom? No way, he is my business partner and Tom would kill him before he ever dated him. — Harry Potter, to himself, monologuing the same thing, for the hundredth time that day.)
Basically an AU where they both end up falling for each other and being in denial while doing YouTube videos as a COUPLE, and freaking out everytime they have to do couple-y stuff.

I'm a NATLA defender now, tbh. I think more people will grow to appreciate its good parts more as time goes on. I'm of course waiting to see how they wrap everything up and I'm not immune to its flaws, but I think people are so blinded by everything not being The Exact Same as the original cartoon than they're not appreciating its good parts. It's an adaptation, a companion, it's not a replacement to the original.

i love the new pjo tv show don't get me wrong but i feel like it's missing the like, campiness of the original? that got translated pretty well into the musical but honestly 2-3 lines of witty dialogue per episode isn't really getting the original Ridiculousness of the book across.
like it's been pointed out that they seem to immediately know & recognize every myth they encounter, which is part of it, but like...episode 7 in particular made me sigh a lot because they cut so much of the humor! things like annabeth just immediately training cerberus to stay put and them bald-face lying to Charon that they are all dead, actually, they drowned in a bathtub. Together. it was such a nice like, breather before they get into the Very Serious Underworld Scenes and instead...nope, just more ACTION.
and they took out stuff in other episodes that made the tone lighter-things like percy and annabeth getting grossed out by the mirrors in the tunnel of love ride, the dam snack bar jokes, grover eating cans, them playing around in the lotus hotel, etc. i feel like half the fun of the original books was that, at any given conflict, the main characters were either going to sword fight their way out or completely bullshit their way out in the most convoluted ridiculous way possible. which was hilarious and also suspenseful-is percy going to pick up riptide, or is he going to start talking baseball? and them giving impassioned dialogue all the time instead of goofing around a bit just weighs down the whole tone of the show.
i feel like the show is very action-adventure whereas the original book was more of an adventure romp. i also feel like with the new heaviness that's come with multiple POVs (like seeing percy and sally's backstory) the show would really benefit from like, sad shot of sally and poseidon talking then BOOM cut to percy complaining about getting sand on his favorite pair of jeans while on the beach with ares. or something else.

WHO is saying prose in tlt is too melodramatic?? It is the perfect amount of melodramatic for what’s happening bffr
I have seen people mock the style of the prose as too homestuck adjacent and clearly written by someone who also writes fic. First of all I'm like...if you hate those things so much, I've got bad news for you about 75% of the queer sff getting written these days! I think it's actually fair not to enjoy that style but I do also notice the lines people usually point to are either silly gideon navisms which you either find endearing or you don't but they're clearly a character choice, not a feature of the basic narration of the series. OR they're melodramatic lines spoken by necromancers and cavaliers about each other which I think sometimes people mistake as the author trying to be straightforwardly romantic versus portraying the dramatic emotions of these young queer people who are genuinely not okay + the ways their society is set up to require this kind of over the top devotion from them. Tazmuir does have fun with the drama and I love that about her writing but it's a more thoughtful choice than it might appear at first glance, imo

Thinking about the fact Chosen and Dark spend seven years destroying websites and murdering citizens, and yet Alan is completely surprised to see Chosen is still alive in The Virus. Like how did you miss it. We know from AVA 3 that humans generally don't give a shit about sticks, but they were targetting some big websites that are commonly used, not the Outernet; including Newgrounds, which Alan used until 2017, just a year before AVA Season 2 (AVY was posted on Newgrounds but nothing after that). It would've caught people's attention. I have like several guesses:
Stick figures rampaging is a common reocurrence (it IS pretty simple to make an OP stick figure and I doubt every human is Alan-levels of competent, even excluding the possibility of some asshole making a stick figure so they could purposefully cause chaos), so Chosen and Dark were just buried under the numerous other incidents.
Chosen and Dark just... didn't do that much. If actions can be undone by just rewinding a page, then they actually caused little to no damage (outside of the mental trauma the victims have, but humans don't give a shit about programs as long as they do their jobs), so any reports were pretty small and not enough for Alan to notice. That could actually be a motive for Dark's ViraBot plans; he wanted to do something that's permanent.
Alan DID hear about their rampage, but ignored it out of guilt/didn't care, and when the reports died down (due to them moving to the Outernet) he went "guess someone killed them" and moved on.
The same as above, but instead of thinking they died he just decided there's no way they'll find him and then shat his pants when they did.
He doesn't care about Internet drama and genuinely had no idea even if it WAS making news.

Alright i only watched clips but i have a lot of thoughts, becouse team bolas killed one of the eggs.
I wonder will there be any consequences of that action, becouse most teams agreed not to kill them so i'm thinking about the relationship between the characters
For example Forever told Phill that if Quackity tries to kill one of the eggs Forever will kill quackity and stop him, but the one who killed the egg was not Quackity but Phil
I really wonder if it will messed up the relationships between thecharacters, becouse there is so much angst potential.
