Somehow, Yellowjackets fandom, who won a different category Outstanding Drama Series somehow got the idea that OFMD fans were complaining about Yellowjackets winning. It was corrected multiple times by multiple people but they kept coming. So yeah, twitter being twitter, not a great time. I mean it's fine I guess from a strictly plot perspective (and even that's well. bendable) but why is Leafpool, 30 cat years after their breakup, dead, in cat heaven, STILL deeply in love with cat Clay Puppington. I know they will get back together in StarClan because the authors absolutely love them and think they popped off writing their romance subplot they think they created a banger. fallenholly had the option to be one of THE best dubiously-canon wc pairings to come out of this series had they just went the direction of making fallen actually somewhat more messed up after being trapped as a ghost in the torment tunnels for cat centuries like. • I love classic country and folk rock. When I say I like country, I specifically mean the genre and general scene behind country that predates the 9/11 shift in music. I also (embarrassingly) know a shit ton of Beatles trivia. John Denver is my favorite music artist.

...and much more I am probably forgetting to list out! I am critical of all my interests, so please do not be presumptuous. Ultimately, I consider a lot of "Fandom DNI" things to be hypocritical and performative in the sense that it eliminates any nuance.

Simply put, I will just block you if you are someone who refuses to have any critical thinking skills...that being said, given how tumblrinas seem to be incapable of figuring out what that means, here is a brief rundown of what I that tends to encapsulate. LMAOOOOOO

No whatever I deem to be genuinely sickening I know "DNI" pages are performative and areas for people to flaunt their basic morality but lately I have had to block so many people I feel as though I need to put a typical warning up so. You Know. Gestures Vaguely. For Genshin Fans specifically coming to my blog know I do not put up with any ship remotely creepy. I see a good portion of the "short" character model characters as children, and genuinely cannot "unsee" it. This is not something to argue in my asks about. Just leave me alone, I do not participate in the fandom for a reason.

Daily Prompts - Day 6

The reason for my tears...

"Where's the birthday boy?" Zack asks when he gets to the snack table, carrying way too many bags of ships than what they would need for the party.

"Uhh, Zack, that's too much chips." Ivy complains, taking a much more reasonable amount from his hands to place on the bowls.

"No such thing!" Zack refutes. "But uh, where is Shadow-san?"

Ivy and Carmen look around. The guest had just started to arrive. Carmen came to help Zack and Ivy with the final preparations (the food) so she and Suhara could start greeting the guests.

"I wouldn't blame him if he ran off." Player sneaks past Ivy to steal a chip from the bowl she was preparing. Zack takes a handful instead.

"Player, bro! Wait until the guests get here!" Ivy scolds.

"Buh theh ah 'ere." Zack points to the people who had started to arrive, with a mouth full.

"He was pretty apprehensive about a big party like this." Carmen mutters preoccupied.

Ivy chuckles. "You picking up some fancy words from our birthday man."

Carmen smiles at the tease. "Can't be help since we live together."

"I've just always been this educated. I went to school." Player jokes, taking another chip. Carmen roles her eyes. "Maybe he's inside?" Player suggests.

"I'll go check."

"I'll come with, Zack forgot the salsa." Ivy says walking by Carmen’s side.

They passed by a few guests, no one from the family had shown up yet, it was just random people they got along with, ACME agents, some store owners they often spoke to…

As they make their way inside, Ivy notices Carmen rubbing her hands.

"You alright, Carm?" She stops just before they enter the building.

"Uh? Oh, yeah I'm fine just… a little nervous for the party that's all…" Carmen resumes her steps entering through the garage. "Do you think Suhara is mad about it maybe?"

Ivy lifts an eyebrow. "I doubt it. I know this sort of thing isn't really his cup of tea, but no way he'd stand Zack and I up when we went through so much trouble. And he's definitely not mad at you, I mean if it weren’t for you we probably WOULD have gotten the bouncy house."

Carmen gives a small not all there chuckle. She clicks the button on the elevator. Ivy looks at her again:

"This isn't about the party, is it?" She asks.

Carmen goes back to rubbing her hands. "Sure it is, I mean- Ok, maybe it's not…" She deflates. The elevator door opens and Ivy places a hand on her shoulder.

"What's going on, Carm?" She asks, concerned.

Carmen looks at Ivy, knowingly. It's then Ivy realizes. "You didn’t tell him yet." Carmen shakes her head.

They both step in the elevator.

"Can I ask why?"

"I… I'm nervous about it. I just… I don't even know if he wants this… with me…"

"Carmen, are you stupid?" Carmen gives her a flat look. "Don't answer that. Look, Shadow-san is crazy about you, why wouldn't he want this? I'm pretty sure you're in the center of his world, Carm."

"But he never really signed up for this. We never talked about it."

"It still takes two to tango!" Carmen gives her an exasperated look. "Alright, alright… my point is, you two do have options, and although I HIGHLY doubt he's going to have a bad reaction to it, you two have been through worse, and yet here you are, at his birthday party and…" Ivy places a hand on Carmen’s tummy, wiggling her eyebrows.

Carmen chuckles a little more sincerely this time. "Okay, alright… thanks, Ivy."

"Happy to help! Seriously tho, you should tell him soon." It's not said in a condescending way, just a caring one.

Carmen sighs. "I know."

The elevator rings and Ivy makes a beeline for the kitchen. Carmen follows right behind but stops when she sees him. Ivy grabs the sauce from the counter and turns back, noticing Carmen had stopped she looks in the direction Carmen was looking. She smiles. "Uh, hey, Carm? I'm gonna take this down stairs. You alright on your own?" She knew the answer already. Carmen nods.

After Ivy is out Carmen walks towards the couch Shadow-san had been sitting in. It's then, and only then he's brought out of his stupor and notices she's there.

"Carmen! Have the guests arrived? Sorry, I… I lost track of time."

Carmen notices he's holding a picture in his hands. She lifts an eyebrow 'lost in time?'

He smiles. "Just, reminiscing." He shows her the picture, it's one they took when Player first moved in, back when the twins were still living with them.

Carmen smirks. He missed more than he let on.

"Should we go now?" He asks her.

She sits down. "Actually I had something to talk to you about…"

His eyebrows raise, he puts the picture on the coffee table and turns to her. His expression reads 'I'm all ears.' or actually 'I am listening.' because that's how he usually spoke.

"Well, I have this friend! She uh, she found out something… important. Something nice! She's happy about it, but… she's not sure how her partner will react…" Carmen bites her lip.

He takes a hold of her hands, cupping them gently. His were always warm compared to hers. Like a furnace.

"Whatever it is, if it makes this friend of yours happy, I am sure their partner will be happy too."

Carmen chokes on her breath. "It's just… this is something big. Something neither of them spoke about before, and she is happy with it but she has no idea if this is something he will want. And it's not something they can just ignore. Its big. A big change. "

"Carmen." She looks up at him. "After everything we have been through. Nothing could ever tear us apart. What ever it is that is burdening your heart, we can figure it out, together." Sly ninja.

Carmen tears up. "I love you."

He smiles fondly. "I love you too."

She hugs him briefly. "Happy birthday by the way?" She smiles.

He chuckles.

She takes a deep breath. "You know there is no friend." He smiles.

She looks him in the eye. "Okay, so… uh… you know how I've been feeling nauseous lately? And how I might’ve been late… this month." His eyes widen. "Well…" She looks down and puts her hand on her belly.

"C-carmen, are you?" He chokes on emotion, could it really be?

She nods.

The floodgates open.

He's laughing, he's crying, he picks her up, lifts her from the couch in a hug and spins them around. He sets her down and gently presses his forehead against hers.

"When did you? H-how did you?" He has so many questions.

"Last week, during girls' night. I've been having symptoms for a while now so Ivy landed me one of hers. God, Suhara, you're crying!" She points out. He laughs with tears in his eyes.

"I am, sorry." His smile never fades. His tears never stop.

"They’re gonna think I'm breaking up with you!" Carmen starts laughing with him.

He steps back and kisses her forehead.

"I love you."

She giggles. "I love you too. So much!" She reaches up and he meets her half way down in a soft kiss.

"We should really get to the party…" She says between kisses. "No need to stop crying!" She laughs, teasing him.

He laughs, cleaning up his face. "Sorry, sorry." He gives her an affectionate look. "I do not recall ever crying when I've been sad." She looks up at him surprised, now that she thought about it… "When I ponder the reason for my tears… all I think about is you."

"Suhara..." She hits him playfully on the shoulder. "When did you become so sappy?" They kiss again.

Needless to say, this would be one of Shadow-san’s best birthdays to date.

So i was just thinking one day y'know, like, what if i shipped my first genshin crush and my latest genshin crush, and it resulted to

"Diluc x Kaveh" I was like, "haha, they're perfect for each other" as a joke...but bro...I don't think it's a joke anymore... also for the shipname, i was either DilVeh that's kinda eh or KaLuc that u can misread as KaeLuc But then i decided to call it DiVe!! the first one still pronouncing their names a bit, this one is just straight up dive cuz i wanna dive into their overflowing potential of a ship- This is gonna be a long rant about how they met and headcanons [which I will post separately] so be prepared- TW: ooc, mentions of alcohol but only a bit pls still do enjoy and see if you'd ship them with me^^

Diluc being a head of the Dawn Winery just gets him bitches y'know. And the Ragnivindr clan being nobles in the past just adds to that, he's a- Anyways- How I think they'd meet: Let's say Kaveh has been traveling with traveler and paimon for a bit and he may have done some changes to the serenity pot as thanks for letting him sleep in a comfortable bed and not just outside of al haitham's house. And since other genshin characters visit there sometimes too, ofc word of The Light of Kshahrewar's works would spread out. And that's where Kaveh lands in Mondstadt, commissioned to build something there or perhaps just commissioned to make a Mondstadt-inspired home/building for someone. Ever since Kaveh got that commission, he knew he had to save a lot of money for the famous wine of Mondstadt. And as we know, Kaveh is a lover of wine, so The Angel's Share is a must-go visit for him on this search for inspiration! Plus, where's he gonna find inspiration without a bit of chillaxing first, right?

With his smarts and passion for the arts, he would clearly love Mondstadt. The poems and bards, the flowers and freedom, oh so different to Sumeru who even banned such wonderful performances! He definitely fell for Monstadt first. Being lucky enough to make reservations to an Inn, though not nearby,(let's pretend there's an Inn in Springvale since the goth grand hotel is occupied by the fatui.) He sets off to Angel's Share. With how pretty this man is, you can't deny eyes were on him. A foreigner from afar with a beautiful physique, his shirt showing his back and chest tells the patrons of the bar that he is very confident in his appearance. Though the redhead by the counter didn't seem to even stare a bit and only looked up to see who came in and started making another drink. Anyone would've been hurt or offended but Kaveh was too stunned to see the Diluc Ragnvindr in the flesh and merely stood in awe by the counter. Ahhhhhhhhh two hot people in the same place, the bar is practically melting, save for the drunk ones who are already beyond the comprehension of their surroundings.

"Ah, I'm truly in luck today." Kaveh chirped as he sat down.

"I'm so happy to taste the famous wine of Mond and have the head of the Dawn Winery as the bartender himself!" He praised more. "My pleasure dear guest." "Coming from all the way to Sumeru, I think the pleasure of meeting you shall be mine. After all, you're quite more of the star here tonight than I am." Yea yea, Diluc doesn't like idle chit-chat, but like, I can see Kaveh just throwing flowers at him with his vocabulary and making Diluc have to respond. Though of course the attention is thrown back to Kaveh as patrons start swirling around him asking questions about Sumeru and perhaps if he's single- Drink after drink, Kaveh has become drunk to the point where he'd gone and started complaining unlike how flowery with his words he was earlier. The other patrons have already gone home or passed out outside, but Diluc was still at the counter, listening to Kaveh complain about this "Al Haitham" person. "HE DOESN'T GET IT DOES HE-" "AND THEN HE CARRIED BOTH KEYS AGAIN-" "HE'S JUST SO AGHHHHHHHH-" Diluc has enough and tries to at least ask Kaveh if he's staying anywhere. Of course, he got ignored. So he went with plan B. Which is to bring him along to his house. I mean, he can't get information, and he's too tired to have some people check in on where he's staying so he could just bring him there. He could finally rest, and the drunk blonde won't have to be in danger if he ever stumbled into the wild in his drunken frenzy. "What the fuck happened last night." That was all Kaveh could think of as he suddenly sat up which he instantly regretted when he feels his head throb in pain. He was in an unfamiliar and large room. His clothes were different and from the feel and looks of them, it's expensive as fuck-

"AM I DEAD OR SOMETHING-" "Not at all, sir." Reassures the voice, to which Kaveh jumps, meeting eyes with the maid, who smiles at him. "Good morning sir, here is some tea to soothe your headache and some breakfast to fill your stomach." A tray of authentic Mondstadt food was placed on his lap, making him drool at the sight.

"I'll be off to tell the young master that you're awake so, please enjoy your meal as I call for him." Ever since he stepped into Mondstadt, everything was so fun and relaxing, and no annoying roommate to argue with all the time. He was truly in paradise- But his second day in Mond already started in chaos. I mean- HE'S IN SOMEONE'S HOUSE RIGHT NOW- WHERE IS HE- What more shall come to Kaveh? And what's this warm feeling building up when he meets him more often? couldn't decide how it goes to the point where they fall for each other so perhaps you can share your ideas hehe will post headcanons later in the day or when I get home

Hi allow me to give another unhinged headcannon about pidw meta if it existed.

Ahem* if there were any gay✌ 'ships'✌ in the PIDW fandom they would be ugly bastard doujins in a similar vain of those few breath of the wild or SAO doujin ect where Bingge my boy gets topped among many other things (if you know you know) or people would 'ship' (saying ship feels wrong but it's the closest available word i have. the nature of fandoms for things like what PIDW would be irl doesn't really ship in the manner that tumblr users tend to think. It's more like they have abstracted an extra step away from the source material and the characters are exceedingly there to exist as dolls. We do this in our everyday fandom interacts but I notice in these spaces it never really feels like a connection to the character beyond vague surface traits and tends to focus more on physical body types and character archetypes. But with this in mind when it comes to shipping it means nobody is using Luo Binghe as a character just as a surrogate for themselves with the waifu they've chosen that week.) Mobei-Jun because he's the only actual male in the series with any credible screen time and even then it's like one of them gets turned into a girl or drawn overly feminine and girly because the primary straight cis male audience of a book like this isn't ready to ask that question about themselves yet. That or its futa stuff with a preestablished wife but there is a fair chance he's still topping.

Basically what I'm saying is if there are any Shen Qingqui and Bingge things that would exist they'd be like... Dead dove do not eat. Either some shen jiu shouting some phrases that only exist in hentai related to dicky wicky and being objects of sex (again if you know ya know). Or you may get the rarest of all a dark introspection sfw one that likely was written by one of the 2 existing hardcore female fans.

This my long winded way of saying while i enjoy the jokes in fanfic that Shen Yuan has read PIDW fanfic and knows there is BL shippers it would be even funnier for him to complain about the fact that anyone writes Bingge getting topped content at all (there is a favorite he's not admitting it). Or that people ship Mobei-Jun and Bingge. As that's ridiculous and doesn't make sense. They're just BROS bro. God don't make it gay.

Or, and I do think this is the funniest one, nobody is writing deep introspective fanfic or making comics about Bingge's emotional needs and is focused on the sex. Man is mad the mostly cis heterosexual (and probably incel laden) audience is too busy focused on the porn to think of the protagonists emotional needs. Or even just art of this broken man.

All of them losers focused solely on them tiddies while Shen Yuan is over here asking the real questions. The fanbase is busy making content meant to cater to their specific wants and fetishes with one guy in particular who just shows up all the time asking for such a niche thing. Enough that it's almost a meme. And they are all clowning on the guy who's claiming to hate the novel and asks them to take the book seriously.

also there is no way he would not review all of the fan content he stumbled on in great anti fashion. And getting a positive-ish comment from cucumber is actually considered by fandom a mark of shame. I just don't think the internet could resist clowning on this man further by not treating a cucumber approved work as a meme joke of shame.

Spoilers for the Mario movie under the cut! Here are my thoughts and opinions.

The soundtrack was incredible. One of the first things I noticed. Also, the visuals were SPLENDID. Peach's hair physics blowing in the wind was especially nice. I loved seeing all the wildly fantastical places of the Mushroom Kingdom, Kong Kingdom, and the Darklands. I wonder if we'll see Daisy and explore Sarasaland in the sequel?

What a fucking introduction to the villain of the movie.

Why did the penguins have the star in the first place? How did they keep it for so long? How did Bowser find out about it???

I noticed the old school Donkey Kong game in the diner and was ecstatic about it!

I absolutely love how well they established Mario and Luigi's relationship at the start. The film absolutely needed the time in the human world to get to know the brothers, their dynamic, and their motivations, and it did it WELL.

Mario's hatred of mushrooms and landing in a kingdom full of mushrooms and needing to eat mushrooms to get powerups was honestly super funny.

They used a little too much slow-mo. By the end I didn't really care for it.

The movie did a fantastic job of showing Mario's protectiveness over Luigi, and Luigi willing to go along with Mario through anything (the construction zone, the sewers)

Speaking of Mario, his voice was actually really fitting. Chris Pratt is no Charles Martinet but he had a really good range of emotion when speaking, Mario felt very fleshed out and real.

Also, Charles Martinet's 'WAHOO' during the first scene made me giddy. Also also him shouting 'those are my boys!!' as the Mario Bros' dad was just wonderful.

The mystery behind the previously-blocked off room under the sewers was really intriguing. Why was it boarded up? Did people used to go missing a lot down there and it was never discovered why, with Brooklyn's citizens instead choosing to block it off?

I'm surprised they didn't keep Peach's original story about her being born in the Mushroom Kingdom. I wonder if we'll learn more about her past if a sequel is approved. DID she come from the human world??? Are they gonna pull another lore twist and make her Rosalina's long lost sister???? Who fucking knows!

I was surprised at how much of a girlboss they made Peach but yknow what, I'm not complaining! She was super fun to watch, I liked how she stood up to Bowser despite seeing he had the star and knowing he would be invincible, and I liked how she was still princess-y despite it (lifting her dress when walking up steps, hands clasped in front of her, she just EXUDES elegance.)

Mario's fight with DK was FANTASTIC. I wish we got to see him with the fire powerup though. Also, him defeating DK with the cat powerup was highly unanticipated, but I really liked how fluid and fast Mario was as the cat, so I can't complain. Also the Tanooki powerup was adorable.

I really liked DK. He was super funny, he was antagonistic to Mario but in a fun way, and I loved the little moments where he softened and put aside the arrogant pushy persona, like when he saved Mario from the blue shell, when he realized Mario saved him from drowning, when they fought side by side to get up to Bowser's ship, and when he (and Peach and Toad) threw himself at Bowser so he would stop focusing on Mario.

Kranky Kong was hilarious and I liked his little scene with DK after he got saved. Go old man go.

I really wish they did more with Luigi. We got to see a ton of him at the start, then brief scenes of him trapped in the cage, and then the big fight against Bowser at the end. I wanted to see more interactions with him and Bowser, even if it was just Bowser interrogating him about Mario. But they literally spoke once, and consequently him fighting against Bowser with Mario doesn't feel as satisfying or earned as it could have been. (Bowuigi shippers we took an L with this one)

Bowser got TWO chances to sing his love song and frankly it was a fucking banger, this is not up for debate. I want him to sing in the sequel.

Also his attempts at flirting with Kamek dressed as Peach was hilarious.

Bowser going sicko mode out of jealousy wasn't what I expected going into it, also his dialog when he was trying to kill Mario was a little..... strange??? He kept shouting about how he'd make Mario miserable, just like he is, and I feel like it was sort of out of place during the final battle when he's shown no signs of being miserable (other than being upset Peach doesn't like him and is traveling w Mario) and it's too late for any kind of redemption arc.... so I don't really get why they included it in the final battle. Maybe to show he *can* be good? Maybe it's just me.

I'm surprised the people of Brooklyn weren't horrified by the giant talking ape and short mushroom man or any of the other creatures from another world. They acted like it was normal?? I just want to say, I knew it would happen but it’s still gross to see the double standards, but how Maya and wahaj were raked over the coals for their mushq photoshoot but YumHaj and even Hamza and Seher are getting tons of praise for their equally as scandalous poses is …super amusing. I’ve never seen quite as much misogyny come from other women as I did for maya in that one photo shoot, but other actresses doing the exact same thing is ok because that’s a fan favorite pair.
