staci's one of those characters that i could say a lot about but dont rlly have any personal investment in. similar thing to sha-mod where they're replicating an ex-contestant, but the fact that it's staci is interesting. because td staci doesnt necessarily... have any redeeming qualities. she's just a throwaway character made to be annoying so that the other characters can stay longer than the first episode. she's eliminated first and in a really humiliating way. so like. how does tti staci have to feel about themselves to kin someone like that to such an extent? to not only see themselves in her but also make her their entire identity? it's a bit like caesar with the whole where does the host end and the real person start thing. a lot of tti characters have really similar issues actually i hope some of them get to talk more in action. or just therapy

I had this idea way back and only now got the motivation to write it </3

The amount of villains was in the double digits, easily. Another attack, at least this one far away from the students and the school. Aside from a few scratches and bruising, Aizawa was fine. But he was getting tired; his eyes were getting sore from being open for so long. At least he had the center of the attention; Ani wasn't quite used to combat. Still, they were handling things well. Though a few of the bottles of water they kept on their person were getting low.

He couldn't focus on Ani right now. A hard punch hit him in the side, making him hiss in pain. Getting distracted was the worse thing to do as a hero. Getting back in focus, Aizawa almost got lost in the fight. A flurry of attacks, made with fist or scarf, running over and over as his eyes burned.

The dust from slamming villains into the ground didn't help at all. At least it confused the others. A thud came from the direction Ani was in, likely him managing to get someone knocked down. A good start; so far, his Quirk was just a way to block and push opponents away. Being able to incapacitate someone was a wonderful start.

The sound of water and seeing villains getting pushed away started becoming closer. "Ani, stay back, I've got this!" He yelled back, landing a punch with a sickening crunch to someone's face. There wasn't a response. "I'm serious, I can-" It wasn't Ani.

It looked like him…well, it was shaped like him. But made of water, attacking with weapons it was making out of water too. With the enemy distracted, Aizawa risked a glance towards his partner. Laying on the ground, as if he had fainted.

"ANI!" He shouted out, starting to make his way over. Just from first glance they seemed to have no grave injuries. Not even any notable blows to the head that could've knocked him out. Aizawa shot his scarf out to aid whatever Ani had created, trying to keep them safe. With the aid of the seemingly untouchable water clone, things were taken care of.

Someone else could take care of the knocked out or surrendered villains. Tearing his goggles off, Aizawa looked over his partner. Besides looking paler than usual, he was...fine. "What did you do..." He mumbled to himself, starting to lift them up.

Then it hit him. The water clone. They must've used the water in their body to make that. But that was too much for them. Sighing, Aizawa tried to find any water bottles that had something in them. Thankfully there was one still half full. "Wake up, you idiot." He muttered, resting their head in his lap.

A minute passed before their eyes opened, trying to speak but only a rasp coming out. Aizawa held the water bottle to his lips, helping them drink. "What were you thinking, pushing yourself like that! I had this handled." He mumbled, petting through their dark blue hair.

"I wanted to help." They muttered, voice hoarse still. Aizawa sighed a little, helping him to his feet. "...it worked, right?"

"Yes, it worked. But you could've..." He trailed off and shook his head, sighing. "A smart idea but things could've gone better." He offered the water bottle to them again, tightening his arm around them.

"I'm glad it worked..." They muttered, weakly raising a finger to collect the water the clone had collapsed into. It was a wobbly stream of water but most of it reached their hand, absorbing it back inside.

Aizawa gave a small nod, rummaging for his eyedrops. "Don't do that until you're more trained for combat. I'll help you."

Ani smiled slightly at the offer before raising a brow, gaze shifting to the scarf. "Right...'help'."

"You're ridiculous." He grumbled playfully back, applying the eyedrops. "I think the overexertion got to your brain, dear."

"Overexertion doesn't mess with memor-"

"Shush, someone could hear you." Aizawa hurriedly cut them off, shooting a glance towards the police handling the arrests. None seemed to be paying attention but still. Ani laughed a little, finishing the water and tucking it into his ammo belt-like pocket system. At least they seemed to be otherwise unharmed from the action. A little weak-kneed but still able to hold conversation and breath steady. Aizawa relaxed a little, but still kept his arm tightly around them as he helped them back to home.
