Day 30: Dukexiety

Day 30 - When you look in the mirror, you can’t see your own reflection, just your soulmate. (Never heard of this prompt before, so I guessed)

Content warnings: maybe some anxiety? Just some wholesome for ya.

Word count: 1.5k

This ficlet is dedicated to @marshymoop.

Virgil was told he had brown hair; the color of a walnut. Sometimes if he grew it out long enough, he could just catch a glimpse of the color when it fell into his eyes. Apparently those were brown too.

A friend of his mom’s was an artist and had drawn him when he’d turned thirteen, but it hadn’t looked right. The face staring back at him from the canvas didn’t feel like his at all. He didn’t recognize the curve to the nose or the bags under the eyes; it just looked like a stranger. The more he looked, the more uneasy he felt, and he’d tucked it into the back corner of his closet, never to look at it again.

His reflection, where he’d seen the face of his soulmate since he was a baby, was far more familiar to him.

Black hair streaked with white.

Sharp green eyes.

A smattering of freckles over olive skin.

Sometimes it was odd, smearing makeup under eyes that weren’t technically his, and trying to fix hair that was shorter than what showed in the reflection, but it was a problem everyone had until they met their soulmate. He just hoped that the dark clothes looked as good on the real him as it did on his reflection.

Virgil was struggling to focus on the textbook paragraph in front of him when his phone chimed. It was a welcome distraction from the existential quandaries that came with Philosophy 103. Just a quick break, he promised.

Remus: heyyyyyyy

Aaaand there was that plan out the window. He couldn’t care less though, studying be damned, because now his heart was pounding and a nearly painful smile was stretching his cheeks. It had been a week since Remus had messaged him, and the pent up joy was all coming out at once.

You’re back! He replied amidst flapping hands. How was camping? His fingers hesitated over the keyboard.

I missed your messages. I missed you. I was lonely.

He said nothing.

Remus: i caught a squirrel. i couldn’t keep it though

Virgil: Did you name it at least?

That’s adorable. You’re adorable and a goof and amazing.

Remus: Yep. Squirrely Temple

A picture message showed up moments later, showing a surprisingly relaxed squirrel sitting in a styrofoam cup, a single peanut clasped in it’s little hands. The taker of the photo wasn’t visible, though that was to be expected.

The next one featured what Virgil assumed was the same squirrel, this time wearing a crudely constructed paper top hat. It held another peanut, and once again seemed shockingly unconcerned.

The photo was quickly replaced with a call screen and Virgil accepted it eagerly, still laughing.

“Did you see the squirrel?” Remus asked excitedly, to which Virgil could only laugh harder.

“Why is it in a hat?” He wheezed.

“I made it out of sap and a brochure I found. I think Squirrely Temple looked rather dapper.” The grin was evident in Remus’ voice.

“And you didn’t keep it?” Virgil inelegantly kicked his schoolwork off the bed to lay across it, grabbing his fidget cube from the side table.

“Nah, something about preserving wildlife and not having enough room at home,” he yawned, “Me an’ Roman gave him plenty of peanuts before we left though. A whole pile on a wood stump.”

“You sound tired,” Virgil teased. There was a small twinge in his chest at the idea of Remus going to bed already. He’d been off the grid for a week. Virgil was loath to admit, but he’d missed his friend more than expected.

“I think my body just sees an actual bed and the ‘tired’ protocol is,” Another yawn, “activated.”

Virgil yawned in tandem. “You should probably sleep, then.” He tried to keep the disappointment from his voice.

“Take your own advice, and I’ll consider. When’s the last time you got six hours of sleep?”

“Consecutively?”

Remus snorted. There was a whoosh of air as he dropped onto his bed, and a brief lull in the conversation before he spoke up. “I think I’d rather talk to you than sleep, actually.”

Damn, how was he supposed to respond to that? He pressed a cool hand to his reddening cheeks, glad the other couldn’t see him. “Wow, is that genuine emotion coming from Remus?” Virgil retorted instead. We can talk for hours if you want. I missed talking to you.

“My bad, I think I still have some fresh air in my system.”

God, he’d missed him. A single week had felt like a whole year without their constant interaction and updates throughout their days. They’d only known each other for months (had it only been months?) but in that time, talking to each other had become so ingrained in their lives, it seemed wrong to not wake up with his phone blown up from messages. It was so effortless, wasting hours away but feeling like no time had passed at all. It meant the world to Virgil.

And despite their jokes and snarky conversations, he had a feeling it meant a lot to Remus too.

It was as if he blinked, and the sun had set in the sky. The room had gradually turned dark as ink but Virgil couldn’t be bothered to flip on the lights, not when he was so captivated by Remus’ voice as he recounted his family camping trip. He didn’t notice nor care; this was more important.

Only when Remus’ yawns grew closer and closer together did it occur to him that the other was several hours ahead, blasted timezones. It would be early morning there.

“I think you should try to sleep,” Virgil grinned as Remus tried and failed to keep talking through another yawn.

“Maybe,” He sighed.

“Talk tomorrow?” For the first night in a bit, Virgil felt that same, familiar warm bubble in his chest.

“I actually had a question for you, first.”

Pop.

Remus sounded uncharacteristically nervous, putting Virgil on edge instantly. Everything he’d ever done wrong flooded through his mind. Oh god, how did he find out about the third grade Christmas concert?

“Do you want to vid chat?” He blurted.

Virgil’s breath caught in his throat.

“Like, tomorrow. Or not. It’s okay if not.”

Remus never stuttered. Something about it was unbelievably adorable.

“Just for fun, because we haven’t before, but if you don’t want to there’s no pressure-”

“Yes.”

All blubbering screeched to a halt on the other end, and Virgil couldn’t decide if his predominant emotion was anxiety or excitement. Besottedness, maybe? Either way, it made his face heat up to the tips of his ears and his feet wiggle.

“Yes?”

“Yeah, let’s do it.”

“Okay!” Remus let out a relieved laugh that bordered on a giggle, “When?”

“I end classes at one tomorrow.”

The man murmured his way through timezone math for a moment. “Yeah! Yeah, okay! I can do that! Yes!”

Virgil bit his lip, but a laugh made its way through anyways. “I can’t wait.”

Whatever confidence Virgil had developed the day before, it had completely evaporated by the next morning. His mind wandered during classes, too busy coming up with worst case scenarios. What if the connection sucked? What if they spoke over each other and it was awkward? What if they had nothing to talk about and it got awkward? What if they weren’t compatible face to face? It added a whole new layer to their relationship they hadn’t explored before.

What if they weren’t friends by the end of it?

He was equal parts relieved and petrified when his final class ended and there was nothing between him and the call. The whole walk back to his dorm was spent watching the numbers on the clock tick by, each minute sending a rush of adrenaline through him until he was sure he’d collapse from nerves right there on the path way.

A text from Remus came through three minutes before their agreed time.

Remus: Ready?

NO, he wanted to scream. There were too many variables, they were leaving the comfort zone and that’s where Virgil thrived!

Virgil: 5 mins

He set up his computer and paced around his room for the remainder of his time. His eyes caught a blur of motion in the mirror and he turned to his reflection, his flapping hands slowing as he studied the face before him as he’d done hundreds of times before. Not his face, but the only one he knew as his.

A part of him was suddenly weighed by guilt as he looked into those bright eyes, because the guiltier part of him knew what he had was a crush. A helpless one, at that. And a hopeless one. What was the point pining after someone when the universe had already handpicked someone else for him?

Stupid universe and it’s stupid soulmates.

The chime of an incoming call startled him out of his reverie and he swore under his breath. He tried to soothe down his hair, rub the stress from his eyes, but it was hopeless when he couldn’t see if it actually looked okay.

He sat in his desk chair and took a few measured breaths before clicking accept. The video stuttered and glitched before it finally settled, and Virgil’s breath caught in his throat.

Black hair streaked with white.

Sharp green eyes.

A smattering of freckles over olive skin.

The silence stretched between them for achingly long before Remus beamed into the camera, and it was the most beautiful thing Virgil had ever seen.

“Well, hello there, soulmate.”

random collection of things that i need to remember about this concert and the people there. this will be random but there's no better place to put it tbh soz (there're no spoilers for the setlist tho in case anyone decides to take a look at the following insanity)

gotta be sappy first. so i had A Day right. by the time i got to the venue i was ready to fucking bawl my eyes out and not in a fun way. so i was pretty preoccupied before the show. however, 5 minutes before showtime i had the realisation that 5sos have in fact been essentially my life for two years and led me to have an amazing group of friends. like. god idk where i'd be. so that was fun. i cried. these fuckers weren't even on stage yet. but yeah i just spoke to aria about it too, seeing these guys was so much different to seeing other bands bc they just mean so much more not only bc they are themselves an incredible band but also bc of all the people that are attached to them now for me personally.

fun stuff from the day:

alex (a restaurant next to the venue) playing only 5sos the entire day (i got to listen to never be when i went to use their restroom lol)

they also had this standing around:

best. fucking. time. i've ever had in a line. it was so fun. when we got to go move into a separate waiting area,, aka shortly before getting into the venue,, the entire first part of the line sang history by 1d. i've. yeah no that was a lot. some people also had a box with them so we listened to not only 5sos but also bmth. i had the time of my fucking life. my apologies to 5sos if they had the misfortune to hear us all butcher teeth and also yell along to don't stop.

oh my god on that note the music they played in the actual venue? impeccable. wonderful waiting time listening to starting line and also some superbloom stuff.

hinds was cute. they had their 8th anniversary <3

now onto some thoughts i can remember having from the actual show:

i can't describe the feeling of seeing 5sos for the first time. i literally just stared in shock tbh.

like no literally during michael's talking break he made fun of it (there are vids on twitter i believe lmao) which led to:

michael: starts to talk about certain songs they played berlin: WOOOOOOOOOOO michael: why do you cheer like the songs are people that are here michael: can i just do this michael: lists random songs they played also completely forgot what they played after naming like 2 songs berlin: WOOOOOOOOOOO

J2 VegasCon 2019 Main Panel

J2 jump onstage as fans wave pink hearts from the crowd <3

Jensen: Whenever we come out and do one of those jumps, I always wonder if today’s the day one of us blows a hip.

Jensen’s microphone keeps making a high pitched sound lol.

They ask how many first-timers are there. Jensen: Okay, well, I’d like to remind you we’ve been on this show for fourteen years, doing these for thirteen and a half. Where were you???

Jared: We are five days into our final hiatus. Jensen: Five days into our hiatus beard!

Jensen won’t shave for a few months.

J2 whispering and Jensen cracking up :P

Jensen reveals that Jared is wearing a party patch (they help with hangovers). Jared puts his leg on Jensen’s lap and rolls up his pant leg to show the patch lol.

J2 gave the crew party patches at the s14 wrap party.

Fan asks if they believe in the supernatural in real-life. Jensen doesn’t not believe in ghosts. First to think there’s a logical explanation. But he’s certainly open to the availability that that 1% could be supernatural. Even though he’s never experienced it in real life.

Jensen explains the difference between unnatural and supernatural. Unnatural = Jared. Supernatural = us

Norton fixes Jared’s rolled up pants which turns a little dirty, naturally :P

Fan: Which supporting actors have gone on that have had great careers that you’re still close with? The guest star Jared connects with the most is the girl who played Ruby in season 4 ;) Jensen says they knew Sterling K. Brown was a star when he was on spn, that the Force was strong with him. It’s no surprise he’s had the success that he’s had. Also: Well we’re close to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, even though he hasn’t really done much since spn. He’s still cool.

J2 ran into Felicia Day yesterday and talked about her daughter aww

Jared watched “Wendigo” recently, named a couple of guest stars (assuming Alden Ehrenreich was one of them ;))

A fan apparently rushed the stage, emotional/screaming and upset about wanting an autograph. Some fans tweeted that she has autism. Fans tweeted that J2, Clif, and Creation handled the situation well. At one point J2 left the stage to help defuse the situation. When they came back out after Jared shouted out: “Our member of the family is having a hard time. We all have had hard times.” He wants us all to be kind. The boys are completely fine. (Some details)

Fan: So after the show, will you continue to shave? Boys: Up here not down there... lol

Jensen: We were talking about Jared’s Viking braids.

Jensen teased about Jared shaving his head like Borja did yesterday for charity. They said they’d have Misha do it lol.

Answering sincerely, they acknowledge their look will change a bit, to have their own identities. Jensen: “Dean is the best imaginary friend I’ve ever had in my life. He’ll be a part of me for the rest of my life. But I don’t have to look like him for the rest of my life.”

Also: “It all depends on what our wives want us to look like.” lol

Jared wants to go bowlegged. Asks Jensen how it is, to which he replies “airy.”

Jensen hopes their relationships with cast and crew will last a lifetime and that is what, quote, “fuels us up.”

J2 are signed to do cons past s15 and won’t end for a while :)

What is Jared most looking forward to after the show? Getting to know our kids, our wives, and ourselves. Also not shaving!

Jared: I’m excited to be a dad. Spend more time with the kiddos. Is also excited for the boring.

Jensen’s never known his wife and kids without the show. It’s been a constant. It’s going to be interesting to see where life goes. He’s excited for the opportunity to spend more time with his kids, wife, and friends. To not get on an airplane.

Jensen: I'm looking forward to but have been happy to have professional opportunities go by these past 14 years in order to tell this story.

Has anything impacted you (professionally) like SPN has impacted us? Jared says he isn’t sure. Even when “off” we can’t remove our “wigs” like Borja (lol) We’re still working! Always!

Jensen said he and Misha will need vocal therapy after the show to get their voices back to normal. Jensen: I tried to emulate JDM as Dean’s father by speaking with this gravelly voice. I didn’t know I’d been doing this for 15 seasons. I’m a lot older than he was when he played my dad. Jared: Yeah, no kidding!!

Fan: How do demons deposit sulfur? Jensen: *runs around the stage, making farting noises*

What’s on their bucket lists? And the weirdest thing on there? The fan has an accent that J2 both attempt. Jared says (about the accent): “It’s beautiful and I’m jealous of people who speak better than me, which is everyone.”

We have learned Jared doesn’t have a bucket list. Then he says he would love to go on a helicopter ride. He’s never done it before and it’s the small things. Jensen is unimpressed.

Jared: “What I meant to say was...have a...pet...koala...bear...” Jensen: JUST STOP.

Jensen says, “I want to watch my children grow up.”

Jared says he can watch his children grow up from the helicopter. Jensen quips, “That’s called helicopter parenting.”

Jared shakes the fan’s hand and asks where her accent is from, repeating that it’s beautiful. She says, “Yorkshire.” He goes, “no YOU’RE sure.” LOL

The dad jokes are strong today.

For the final season, this is the first year J2 have said to the writers and producers that they would like to be part of the creative process in the direction and the story of s15. J2 have been invited to the storyboarding with the creators in LA for the final season and definitely want to give their input. They don’t know if they’ll listen, and J2 are prepared for that, but nobody’s lived with Sam and Dean longer than they have. They would love to give input that the show and characters deserve. <3

Jensen: “No one knows these characters more than Jared and I.”

Jared: As a fan of the show, I'd like to offer my input.

Jensen says they watch the episodes in order to give themselves critical feedback. They don’t read comments on social media re: feedback.

It’s hard for them to watch themselves as just an audience. Including other TV shows like GOT and This Is Us.

J2 both loved “Death's Door” then realized we weren't in it much. Jensen: Are we weighing it down? Jared: We're critical of ourselves

Fan: Jensen, you were amazing last night [at the concert]. Jared: Oh, if you think he was amazing last night... :P

Fan asks if Jensen really played piano on Dark Angel and any memories from the show? It was a little of both Jensen and a pro (close-ups are not him playing). It was a VERY difficult song to learn how to play, Chopin he thinks. He has to think hard to dig up funny stories.

When Jessica Alba gets in the boxing ring (with him) she lined up the punch and hit him RIGHT in the nose. (One of the MANY reasons it’s “so jacked up”) He was too young to say “cut! That hurt!” Realizes he doesn’t do that now, either lol.

Another episode he gets slapped, but the actress wasn’t getting the timing for the fake slap right. She was petite so he assumed it wouldn’t be too bad... But he had a WELT on his face. Whole crew went “oof.”

“Scoobynatural” question for the final scene, how many takes? A small crowd had gathered outside across the street. They’re 20 yards away and can’t hear the regular dialogue. But Jensen knew they would get that last line, and he was embarrassed to say the line because those people wouldn’t know the context.

Jared: They’re so old they’re animating themselves to be on camera! lol

A fan said she lost her favorite beanie in the Bellagio fountain and was asking on recommendations to get a new one.

Jared gave his beanie to the fan aww. Then Jensen told Jared that he lost his favorite watch, and Jared immediately took off his watch and gave it to Jensen. Jensen cuddles Jared. Jared then tells Jensen he lost his favorite pair of underwear LOL

Last question: Fan wants to know where Jensen and Jared went during the “French Mistake” episode. Jensen says they were at a con. Jared says VegasCon! Or maybe it was Balthazar. But Jensen prefers to think they just didn’t show up for work because “they’re asshole actors.”

Jikook - an essay apparently

Ok I have a lot of thoughts lately and no where else to express them.

I’m a fairly new fan and while some of my friend irl know about this, its too embarrassing for someone of my age to still be into shipping or whatever, so no that’s not getting out there...

anyway. So i only joined the fandom maybe mid last year and initially didn’t ship anyone cos I’m honestly over that. But then I thought V and kook looked cute together so I looked into their stuff a bit. I still didn’t really ship them but did have a preference for the two of them together, more like bros and bffs rather than anything romantic because i just don’t get that vibe from them. I do have a friend in real life (who’s actually korean... ) who was into JiKook being a couple which I thought was odd because a lot of the shipping things come from their skinship and I thought she’d be less affected by it cos she’s korean but....

anyway, even when i was more into vkook, i saw a lot of jimin and jungkook together that did make me raise my eyebrows. like their firework vid and the pics and vids of them spending time together after concerts. i also did come across some photos of jimin and jungkook hanging out. i also watched a few jikook analysis videos and scoffed at them because honestly, you can make them out of anybody if you focus on certain things.

anyway, fastforward to a few days ago, i don’t even remember what i was doing, but somehow i started seeing jimin and jungkook together as something more than just friends or bros. I mean whatever relationship they have, it’s clearly very special. you don’t plan your world trip during your long awaited holiday around your friend’s bdays unless they’re REALLY special. Jimin flew across the world to be with jk for his birthday before the next leg of his trip. i mean, yes, you can argue that he needed to come back to pack or whatever, but there are easier ways to do it than coming back for 1 night and then flying off again. he could’ve flown from paris to hawaii directly.

so to keep my sanity, i need to somewhere to write out why and why not i think they’re a couple or whatever...

Reasons why I think they’re a couple

- they’re super close. they definitely hang out outside of their group activities and enjoy spending time with each other. as previously stated, jk obviously means a lot to jimin for him to plan his trip around jk’s birthday. they always talk about hanging out late into the night

- their tokyo trip and gcf. i’m not even going to go into it cos people have already talked enough about it, including the two of them. it especially means a lot cos jk obviously doesn’t like travelling all that much

- even before a couple of days ago, i have noticed sometimes namjoon getting in between the two of them when they’re being a little too flirtatious

- their onscreen flirting is something else. like you can see it as fanservice, but the two of them get so into it and what gets me the most is when jimin gets super shy and giggly about it and then sometimes have to walk away from jk. there are also moments that are not specifically on screen that’s very odd. like when they were in that run bts ep in canada and rm suddenly asked them if they were a couple cos they’re wearing matching clothes. and it’s not even like that time jin asked where it was directly in front of the camera. they were literally having a conversation in the background when whoever it was was playing that keeping your eyes open game and they were just taking photos in the back.

- they are way more into touching each other than any other members. like jimin especially will hug and touch the other members, especially taehyung, but it’s never the hanging off each other, purposely seeking each other out on a huge stage for some contact sort of thing. jin and jk are also really touchy but they’re so bro about it

- taehyung... if they are a couple, i would peg tae and jhope as the two who definitely know. taehyung during that one vlive where he was like, jimin wants to come, but i think jk won’t let him... at 1 am in the morning. also see below the uncertain section

- during their earlier days, jm clearly seems to have a crush on jk and jk seemed to very purposefully avoid that. they seem comfortable with each other now but defnitely there was a time that it got awkward when jm talks about how much he likes jk or wants to kiss him or go on a date with him. it could all be for fanservice again, but then he was kind of hurt when jk would not play along.

- jm softens so obviously when it comes to jk. it’s not just the occasional fan accounts or whatever, like when they say that jm is a hard ass until jk comes along and he softens. when he did that v live with rm, the moments when he’s softest is when he was talking about practicing with jk. the only other person he’s soft with is taehyung but even then it’s not that often

- jm sharing friends with jk. when they went out around town in london with jm’s friends. they are clearly jm’s friends and jk just tagged along... apparently, jm doesn’t like sharing his friends? but apparently it’s ok for jk. even if they’re like brothers, i don’t really take my brother around with my friends... and if jk wants to see london as well, i’m sure he could’ve gone with one of the other members or the managers like how they sometimes do when it’s just one of them going to do something. i would personally find it more awkward hanging out with my friend’s friends than people i already hang out with

Reasons why i don’t think they’re a couple

- it’s all too in your face. if it’s real, i wonder if they wouldn’t try to hide it better. or maybe they think the fans just think it’s fanservice anyway... it’s hard to tell. if it wasn’t so in your face sometimes, i would be less skeptical

- they still seem very bro-y to me a lot of time. like jimin seems to take care of jk a lot and the way he takes care of him is far more motherly/older brother

this list seems short but i think they’re both very important points.

anyway onto points that are maybe... because it’s speculation

- they may both have girlfriend. there’s definitely been rumours about both. and some more reliable than others. the one thing that goes against either having a girlfriend more recently is.... jm going on a trip around the world with his friends. if he did have a girlfriend or partner, you would think he would want to spend whatever time he has off with them, especially cos their holidays are so infrequent. and if you want to make the point that maybe his gf was busy, well, you would still try to spend whatever little time you ahve with them rather than going around the globe (again) with your friends. the only reason you wouldn’t stay in one place to spend a lot of time with them is if... you already spend a lot of time with them when you’re working lol. jk did have that maybe-maybe-not girlfriend during that time. i think if it was something, then it’s probably over now (poor girl, she was bombarded...) and it clearly means jk didn’t have anyone at the time. or she really was just a friend and it was blown out of proportion (again poor girl if she was dragged into this for nothing...). long story short. they’re either a couple together or they don’t have anyone in the recent past at least. we don’t know. but also there’s that clip from 2018 where jm was trying to convince jk to go on a trip with him around the time of jk’s birthday but jk refused. lol

- the whole jk/jm sharing rooms, hiding in each other’s room sagas... it definitely seems like there’s other people in the room when they do their lives sometimes. especially the ones that people have pointed out like osaka with taehyung and that one time after eat jin last year when everyone crashed the party when jk was throwing a fit. interestingly, that is also one of the most uncomfortable vlives i’ve seen when it was just jk and jm at the beginning. the chastised and shy look on jm when the camera first panned to him, the weird looks, the funny touches. like what, i felt like i had to give them their alone time. and then the doorbell. now going back to why i think tae knows. in both these cases and another one (that i don’t know the time of), tae comes and refuses to leave when jk clearly asks him why he’s there and when he would go. (the one last year especially makes me want to laugh so badly cos jm esp was trying so hard to get everyone to leave). he’s probably trolling them by giving them grief. anyway, there are a lot of analysis videos etc on youtube. i won’t go into it further

- them rings. the rings they apparently bought in tokyo and still wear together or separately to this day. they definitely have them and they definitely wear them. again it could just be “friendship rings” but... yeah.

- sharing clothes. a popular trope of why people are together. i mean jk and tae actually seem to share the style of clothes more but they tend to have their own (like those modern hanboks, they both have them and don’t seem to be sharing). where as jm and jk apparently actually share clothes... again could be bro behaviour or whatever, but then why doesn’t tae and jk share? they’re definitely more similar in built and style.

- lately there seems to be a lot of taekook. apparently i just read that there’s been a lot of noises from taekook fans and maybe homophobic fans to bighit to try to get jikook to tone it down. and obviously there’s been a few times that jk’s behaviour has upset taehyung’s fans especially (and tae himself lol) so maybe it’s to make amends for that... they were really going at it at the golden disc and grammys. but even their more touchy stuff on stage like during bwl perfs during the concerts, their touches don’t seem very flirty.

as to whetehr i think the rest of bts knows... i think they suspect but as i said before i think only tae and jhope knows for sure. jhope cos he’s pretty close to both of them and tae because he constantly seems to be trolling. but jin, rm and suga... maybe they suspect or just think jk is that friend that hates people getting close to their best bud, but who knows. rm maybe knows more recently because he’s definitely coming between them more.

will we ever know. probably not. not while they’re popular and not while their country (or the world) is still so homophobic and don’t like their 40 year old celebrities to be in a relationship. maybe one day, we’ll hear that even after they’ve stopped promoting as a band, they’re still housemates or whatever. but that’s probably the most “confirmation” we will ever get. but as long as they’re happy, i just really hate seeing them sad. i just wish the world was less toxic towards them. or the world needs to be less toxic in general.

the relationship i enjoy the most within bts is actually the one between jin and jungkook cos they are actually hilarious and chaotic together, but somehow jikook seems to have more of a romantic edge to their interaction.

even if they’re not a couple, they definitely have a very strong bond and very close. whatever it is, they’re clearly special to each other beyond being friends or bandmates. maybe it’s better if they’re friends because couples break up but friends rarely do...

anyway, this turned out much longer than i expected but i’m glad to have put my thought into some kind of coherent-ness... and off i go onto the delulu train.

Ravi in Vienna

aka guide how to be the worst organizer of concerts with a speck of how to be awkward to the maximum level

It was another Monday evening at work, but next to me was resting a bag. The bag was packed to Vienna. Yes, I am gonna see Ravi. The Ravi from VIXX. The Ravi who is VIXX bias and one of my husbands lol.

Time when we were leaving: midnight Time when we should have arrived: 4:30am Time when we arrived: 4am Time when toilets were opening: 5am Time when first food place at bus station was opening: 5am Time when McDonald’s was opening: 6am Time when we could check-in at apartment: 3pm Number of hours slept: 0 Number of people speaking German: 0/3

Bus arrived earlier. Of course, it arrived earlier when first place where we could stay at was opening at 5am. But right next to the bus station there was huge train station which was opened, so we did not have to freeze outside; we were gladly chilling there with homeless people – we felt like one of them tbh. The worst idea was to go to the bathroom. I checked my face in the mirror – bloodshot eyes that it looked like I had too much of pot, and on the chin two huge white pimples, and almost the rest of face covered in red pimples; just a perfect timing, right?

After spending two hours on train station, we moved to McDonald’s to have some breakfast (last time I had breakfast on McDonald’s I was in my early teenage years… memories). We were waiting there until 9am, and then my friend got message from the place we were staying at that the keys were under the mat. We thought that maybe it will be prepared sooner, and we can have some nap. So we decided to go to the venue (our place was 5 mins away), check if there’s some numbering system and then check the apartment.

At the venue there was one girl. She asked us if we went to the concert and then pulled out a notebook with numbers (BLESS THIS GIRL!!! SHE ORGANIZED IT WHOLE BY HERSELF AND IF IT WASN’T FOR HER THE CONCERT WOULD BE A TOTAL MESS!! AND I WAS SO HAPPY THAT I COULD WRITE HER AWKWARD THANK YOU MESSAGE ON TWITTER AFTER THE CONCERT THANKING HER AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING). We had to write there our names and get the number. So, we write them down and me and my friend got 10 AND 11!!! (my other friend got number 1 for VIP) “HELL YES! MY FIRST AND LAST TIME BEING IN THE FIRST ROW FOR A CONCERT!!!! I AM ACTUALLY GOING TO SEE RAVI FROM FIRST ROW OMFG!!!!! THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!” I could not believe that we were this lucky. That I was this lucky to actually end up in first row for RAVI’S concert. It must be something which can get fucked up…

After that we went to check the apartment. Excited seeing ourselves sleeping in bed/couch was pushing us forward. Sadly, when we arrived there nothing was ready, so we left again and went for a bit of sightseeing in our sweaty business clothes, smelly, hair messed up and fighting strong wind (No we did not meet Ravi. But after his ig post, we found out we were lost pretty near the place he was at). The funniest part of our sightseeing was our phones – three phones and each was pointing different direction to the same place lol (we got stuck at one place for one hour until we figured out the right direction to the place).

After few hours Fresh from shower and finally looking like people and after a long effort of trying to cover the pimples (unsuccessfully), we went to the venue. We lined nicely, no problems, there were still new people arriving and getting numbers. Everything was okay. I was suspicious about it. 30 minutes before wristbanding, Young Bros posted update on fb event saying THAT THE VENUE WAS CHANGED I was so damn mad and was glad I was in foreign country and just few people could understand my swearing lol. Anyway, it got somehow settled. We moved to different venue, there were still some chaotic moments, but it was p okay. Problem was the venue itself: Apparently no backstage – that meant Ravi wouldn’t have any privacy to prepare for the performance The capacity of the venue was small Another funny thing happened after few mins, when they told us that Ravi hadn’t arrived yet (it was past 6pm and during that time they should have already let vvips in…). It meant Ravi would arrive and go past us to the venue (AND HE DID HEHEHEH). That also meant that he needs to do a soudcheck. So… we were freezing next hour and half outside. I had to pee, was hungry and frozen. After 7pm they started to let us in. I could finally unfreeze. I was also able to keep my water – they did not take it from me, but they took it away to those who had it in bag. After another time (full of other ?!?!?!??!?! moments – when the girls had no idea what to do with albums which were right in front of them and just… a lot of other things) they told us that photo with Ravi would be in 6 people and WE WOULD BE SITTING ON CHAIRS AND RAVI BEHIND US (what???) and then we would put coats into the cloak room. I was already so mad at the organization that I wasn’t even nervous meeting Ravi lol. So my fear of not being able to say anything to Ravi died out the moment I saw him lol (… do not expect any long sentence from me or anything deep lol… I was just awkward as always lol). Me: [sees him] Ravi: [looks at me, smiles and says] “Hi.” Me: [grins like an idiot, smacks his hand (OH GOD IT WAS SO DAMN SOFT… CAN I HOLD IT??) and way too enthusiastically says] “HIIIIIIIII!!!” [sits right in front of him] Me: [realizing I do not want holding my coat on the photo] Me: [decides to put it behind me] Me: [putting the coat down mumbling to myself and partly to him] “I am just gonna put this here for a sec.” Me: [realizing that the coat would be seen on photo so I stopped and thought about an alternative] Camera guy: [starts to count down the seconds for photo] Me: [panicks, then apologize to Ravi for doing this and throwing coat past him to the corner of the room] … So yeah…………………

Anyway… we thought that after the photos there will be a cloak room for coats (we were told to put them to the cloakroom). BUT THERE WAS NONE. My friend asked about the cloak room and they told us that it is up the stairs. BIIIIIIITCH! YOU SAID THAT WE CAN PEACEFULLY PUT OUR COATS AND BAGS TO THE CLOAKROOM!! My friend started faster than Bolt to get the coats to the cloakroom and I was trying to save her spot in the first row. Sadly, we ended up in second row. The venue was very small. There was no barrier between us and stage. The stage was only like half meter up the ground and barriers were created from round tables (but with width less than one meter). The whole stage was prolly 5x3 square meters big. Can you imagine it? Ravi… person who always performed on big stages and who have definitely never performed at such small venue with fans hair away from him. I felt bad for him… (even tho... again bless Starlights all around the world that even in such situation they weren’t grabbing him and let him have that little of space he had) But t must have been such weird feeling for him. On the other hand I guess it could have been good experience for him. Because he definitely won’t have chance to perform on such place again lol. Really it felt like I was attending some underground concert and not Ravi’s concert.

I guess I will slowly wrap up my story. It would take another 1334 words to describe the whole concert. Just want to write down few things: Guy telling us before the concert started to stay hydrated - after they took away water........... First few songs Ravi looked so mad Wanted his mic to be louder but they ignored him which made him mad even more Mad Ravi is quite attractive His thigh in ripped jeans was the first thing I noticed when he arrived and then kept looking at that smooth and fine thing for a minute... I wanted to touch His hairy knee was also very adorable His whole self just screams FINE MAN He was most adorable when he was dancing I wanted to smooch his cheeks... his face looked so soft Oh man he was so happy while dancing and I was happy for him Where Am I is the banger Cold bay is the cutest rapper who exists in the world, but also the rudest one And his rap is no joke (check his sound cloud) Ravi talking in English with great accent, cutely reading English phrases he had on the screen before him Seriously… people should stop recording whole concerts and focus on the artist and enjoying the concert… Ravi spilling water at us SHIRTLESS RAVI HAPPENED Then when he leaned on the table to us I literally felt his heating body (sorry but I had to write it there bc it was so WHOA) Ravi taking some cameras and recording himself on them Never looked at me during the whole concert (’:

After the concert, we went outside to get fresh air. We crossed the road to wait on the other side, then decided to wait for Ravi to go back to hotel. We were the only ones sitting on the other side of the road. And when he got into car and leaving ISTG he turned and waved at us when we were waving at him… and I was happy that last time possible, he finally registered my person (:

ONE OK ROCK NYC 2 DAYS EXPERIENCE

Here’s me avoiding all responsibilities and totally ignoring that it’s almost been 2 months :D

As (many?) of you may know I went to both NYC shows, general admission for the first day and VIP for the second day!! I was going to do a write up in the following days after but I was still pretty overwhelmed then and have pushed it back till now, whoops. Warning, long post ahead as I gotta fit 2 days in somehow HAHA

So keep reading if you wanna know how I kissed Toru’s cheek, ran into them and got selfie + sign with Toru :D

Since it was middle of summer this time, I could actually wait out in line and not die of freezing like back in January so I arrived at the venue around 9:20. Surprise, there was already a short line (that totally didn’t change much for the next few hours tbh lol) VIP and general admission lines were separated much later in the day like a few hours before opening time so everyone was just chilling till then.

This was a banner someone had made and everyone in the line in the morning had signed! It was gigantic and pretty fucking cool, they gave it to them during M&G.

Around 10-11 their bright orange bus arrived in the front of the venue but none of the members came with it. Around noon Ryota was the first to make his appearance and walked in alone. I went to get lunch and during the time I was gone, Ryota and Michelle walked past the line :)) At some point after that a camera crew came out to record the line, they had us all stand up and they filmed everyone cheering lol Ryota walked in again later with Toru at around 3 and Taka did as well soon after I think (I missed the record button on my phone for Taka, good job me). By then the line for VIP and general admission had been split. I was at the very front of the GA line. I’ll complain talk about the line splitting and staff when I get to day 2. But anyway, camera man followed them inside. Michelle and Jamil walked in a bit after them with giant bags of food I think, Michelle is so beautiful :’)

So yeah, then we got in and I got a spot in what I guess was like the third row between Taka and Toru. Palisades was the first opener, I didn’t listen to any of their stuff beforehand bc I wanted to experience them live first and let me just say, I totally fell in love with them. They played songs off their self titled album that was released earlier this year along with an Unsteady by X Ambassadors cover (which was amazing and I really want a studio version). Fun fact, Brandon (the second vocalist and bass player) held onto my friend’s hand for a moment during that :’) The lighting for their set was really dark so barely any nice pics :((

After Palisades was Set It Off...not much to say about them from me tbh I don’t really like them but their song Hypnotized is fun and catchy. Cody (I think that’s the singer’s name?) went into the crowd and disappeared at the end, I got to touch his hand from all the shoving.

AND THEN, what everyone had been waiting for, ONE OK ROCK! I won’t say much about the songs as I really don’t have as much to say as the January show bc this isn’t the first time hearing them live. I remember pointing out that Taka did seem to struggle a bit with I was King but he was on point for that this time. I had hoped that they’d have Listen and owt on the setlist but sadly they didn’t.

Toru was on fire. His arms are so nice.

So beautiful.

After Chester’s passing, I had already imagined oor doing some sort of tribute for him and they met my expectations that day with the One More Light cover. It was a moment that can’t be described easily, the first performance they did of it. There was sense that everyone was either holding their breath or singing along softly, paying full attention to Taka’s raw voice.

One More Light replaced Hard to Love and led into Take What You Want, which had (around) a minute of silence. Toru looked quite emotional at the beginning, I remember the people around me asking if he was crying (which he wasn’t). I wish I could say it was totally quiet but it wasn’t someone yelled the next few lines of the song like 3 times even though everyone was shushing him ://

The Osaka bros rocked it out together for a moment during a song that I totally forgot, oops. (hello pics from my phone and someone else’s hand right in front of me LOL) Again, was not on Ryota’s side of the stage and didn’t see him much being how short I am :’)) same with Tomo, but he was rocking it back there.

For the encore, Taka actually came down to Toru’s side to crowd surf, and I ended up touching his arm/shoulder LOL so. much. pushing. Everyone wanted a piece of Taka haha

No picture at the end this time but when they were waving goodbye and stuff, Tomo was the last one to leave the stage and he knocked into Toru’s mic stand, knocking off all the remaining picks...Security gave them out but I was too far away cries

After the show, we met Palisades by their merch! Was still so hyped from the concert and probably a mess but everyone was so nice. Told them we would be seeing them again tomorrow and they were excited. Lou called me sweetie HAHA Brandon is adorable

What is this?, you may ask. Well, it’s Toru’s feet LOL

So long story short, our group was still outside then and everyone else had left already. We were about to walk past the doors of the venue when Ryota and Michelle just came out. I was so shocked, I did some small wave and like quietly squeaked out Ryota I think. His hair was in a ponytail! Not was it only him, Toru, Tomoya and Jeff came out right after them. They told us they were going to get food and we didn’t stop them for pics or signs, just waved and said hi. And that’s how we ran into oor minus Taka, amazing.

DAY 2

Got there at around 10-11 bc I was dead from the day before. Same deal with waiting in line and stuff but none of oor walked by that day. Lou (of Palisades) did walk by the line at like noon or something and then walked back past us again bc he went the wrong way, that was hilarious.

Soo I had VIP second day and when they split the lines, the person let the VIP from the front of the line move to the VIP section (which was like around the corner) BUT they cut us off and then had the VIP from the back of the line go. It was so bullshit, thankfully most of my group had made it into the first cut. The asshole guy also yelled at everyone basically that they need to stop complaining bc “everyone will get the equal time and treatment.” He told this to those, like us, who had been waiting hella early that were now next to people who had just joined the line. They also had two security scanners but the guy only used one on the other side of our group + the other really early group.

VIP was the same as always, show ID, get laminate. The laminates were a lot nicer this time :)

Went in and lined up for M&G, we were like the second group in the line lol Jeff explained how it would work, did a demo in which he had us pretend he was about a foot shorter to be Taka and had us cheer as he walked in, I think I was more laughing than cheering at that LOL but apparently we were ahead of schedule so they started really soon after that, like oor just randomly walked in right after.

Meet and greet experience, many thanks to my friend for recording my turn for me :’)

Hugged Ryota and said hi, moved onto Taka, hugged him and then we just kinda held each other’s arms and then he held my hand bc I spontaneously decided to thank them for the Chester tribute and that it was beautiful and that I would have seen them the next week in NJ. Yeah.

I did not notice at the time but Toru was intensely staring me down the whole time, amazing.

Then I hugged Toru and Tomo, I did not bump my head against Tomo’s shoulder like last time :)) Tomo is so happy and smiley, he’s so precious.

I went back to the middle for the pic and I said “Toru?” and he looked down (hello I am smol) and I asked if I could give him a kiss on his cheek (This was Anna (@shajichan)’s idea okay) and there was like an awkward second of just us staring at each other before he was like “sure.” He bent his knees so that I could reach him :’)) I was still on the tips of my toes :’))

Ryota was off in his own world the whole time so idk what he was thinking when he saw us tbh LOL and Taka’s hand had actually been around my waist from the moment I went back to the middle :’))) Being that close to Toru was an experience.

ANYWAY, I bought merch while we were waiting after the M&G. The merch for Ambitions is so...lol but I had to get something at least

The signed album from VIP as well. Not included in pic is the wristband bc I forgot I was still wearing it, smart me.

Since we were basically at the front of the VIP, I got a spot on barricade right in front of Toru. Let me just say this spot was magical or something bc I was not pushed once, had room to step back if I wanted to and I was cold. Magical I say.

Show was like the same except 250x better bc I was front row this time. There’s vids of like Toru being rude throughout the whole show on my ig if you want to see what went down.

Maybe it was being so close and being able to see them so much clearer but I was way more emotional during One More Light than on the first day. I’m pretty sure Julen has pics of me trying to cover my face with my phone during it :)) The silence in TWYW was completely silent this time, it was so perfect. Taka was also doing some mic tricks during MLF, like throwing it up and catching it, twirling it..etc really nice to see that again after so long since his wired mic tricks :((

Taka came out with a beer for the encore, surprising everyone I think LOL no crowd surfing this time sadly.

We went to Palisades merch table again afterwards, actually buying stuff this time. I got their album and shirt and gave their merch guy a $10 tip LOL

Album was signed later outside by Lou and Brandon!! We were waiting for them bc they had to clear the venue so we couldn’t take pics or have time to talk to them inside. While waiting outside, we met Palisades photographer/Brandon’s friend, Geremy, who was only doing photography for Palisades but oor was so amazing that he borrowed an AAA pass to shoot them the whole time :D

So sweet.

Ryota and Michelle actually came out and walked right behind me when I was talking to Geremy and my friends... but I caught Toru when he came out! Totally missed Taka even though he was like right next to me as well at some point

And that’s about it for the two days. Writing these reports are fun lol I am broke but those 2 days were fucking awesome and I hanged out with the best people, really want to do it again soon :D

hi!!! first off– not weird! i am approximately 200% of the time always willing to talk about the philadelphia flyers! secondly, if i may, @the-ghost-bear recently made this post and it’s an awesome thing to check out for some insight and humor on players that are detrimental to the (current and) near future of the flyers, so 10/10 do recommend giving it a read! i’m not really gonna include many of the players on that post tbh!!

so with that said, onto some of my favorite orange boys and my favorite things about the team…

jake voracek–

actually a garbage man, taking out the trash for us. one of our highest scorers the past few seasons since i started really watching. my second favorite beard in the league (behind brent burns, but we’ll save my crying about the sharks for another day!). one of our surprisingly many gingers, bc the flyers aren’t orange enough, i guess. petting his hair may or may not be on my bucket list. probably going to become cousin it from addams family at some point? apparently a big bruce springsteen fan who takes his teammates to see the boss in concert which is one of my favorite things about him from one big boss fan to another. probably not relevant to everyone’s interests but.

wayne simmonds–

ALL STAR MVP WAYNE THE TRAIN SIMMONDS. pk subban wisely advises you should never fight wayne simmonds. shayne gostisbehere wisely advises you should never prank wayne simmonds. they are both very smart men. campaigned for the 2017 all star weekend with puppies, so if he’s not Your Fave, you’re probably wrong. a good canadian and 100% one of philadelphia’s top 5 favorite humans in existence. he deserves so much. sass level 100.

brandon manning–

i feel like it’s just important to give him a shout out for being soft and sweet and shy and according to @cneuvvora he smells good so is he the perfect man? probably. imo very underappreciated on the whole which is sad. if you take anything from this answer, it’s to go give brandon manning some love.

you may recognize him as having been captain of team canada for worlds this year but truly he is the captain of my heart. you also may recognize him from “fuckin pigeon” bc truly top 5 hockey chirps. appropriately, also a ginger. maybe was not the best player this year (he had hip surgery last summer tho) but at least he has this skill going for him. mostly just wants to love you. unarguably has the best fiancee (ryanne breton check her out it won’t be a mistake) and the best dogs (who ryanne just made an instagram for harvandcharlie 100% worth a follow). got absolutely hilariously punched in the face by fellow flyer radko gudas during worlds and i laugh so hard i cry every time i see that gif.

brayden schenn–

you don’t even really want me to start talking about brayden schenn because i will legitimately go on for hours probably whilst crying. he’s a good soft canadian boy who loves food and has the brightest smile i’ve ever seen (HE SMOOSH HIS NOSE I’M!!!! so sorry i’m like this…) and allie’s post i linked above does a great job at talking about him. he is my #1 favorite flyer, though. that’s probably obvious.

i’ve heard a lot of speculation we only resigned him to get rid of him in the expansion draft. i’m not going to get into all of that though. he’s still a flyer at least for now right!!! but regardless, he is one of my absolute favorite flyers and in my top 3 favorite goalies no matter where he ends up at any point in his career. one third of our czech connection he is dating radko gudas’ sister and i have no doubt they are going to have one of the cutest babies i’ve ever seen soon (at least, i don’t think the baby was born yet, but it’s gotta be soon??? correct me if i’m wrong). he just seems like one of the sweetest guys ever and this post is very accurate. sounds really lovely speaking czech. i just want the world to appreciate michal neuvirth.

brayden schenn’s bromo as far as i’m concerned. the victim of one of my personal favorite videos in existence. got injured and didn’t play the last chunk of the season and i miss him A Lot. yet another ginger; it’s frankly absurd how many gingers we have. would anyone back me up if i started a conspiracy theory about the flyers collecting gingers? also, apparently a supermodel sometimes. idk he’s just a good funny dude and not a bad player at all!!

honestly i wish the flyers did more as far as behind the scenes/extras things, because they don’t have a lot and i’m blanking on any Quirky/Funny Flyers Things™? mostly, we cry a lot.

BTS Wings Tour in Newark

March 23, 2017

My most memorable moments about the concert. I tried to keep them in chronological order.

So I need to start by saying something personal. This day was the anniversary of something horrible for me from 16 years ago, so this concert was almost therapeutic for me, and I’m so so glad I have a really good memory now to replace the bad one. I was afraid the date would ruin the show for me but it didn’t really :) I’m so thankful to BTS even though they’ll have no idea

The first thing we really saw upon arriving at the venue was someone with a sign saying “lesbians love Jungkook” 👌👌👌

Outside the venue before the concert they had these booths set up where if you filled out a survey online you could take a picture with your digital(?) bias. We’re Canadian so we couldn’t use data and there was no wifi so we couldn’t do it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also I was biasless at the time so I don’t know who I’d have picked

Apparently before the show a bomb disposal unit came??? to inspect the army bombs (lightsticks). We didn’t get to the venue until merch was closing up so we didn’t know about it. Allkpop made an article about it tho

Ironically we were sitting right underneath a Canadian flag xD

While we were waiting for the show to start they had their mvs playing on the screens and everyone was screaming and singing along

We could hear people doing the fanchants during the mvs but didn’t really hear any during the show. It seemed like people preferred to sing the actual lyrics instead

The music started to get louder about half an hour(?) before the show and everyone was getting more and more excited

When the lights changed everyone lost their shit

They opened with Not Today (it was spoiled for us while we were waiting in line and talking to some other fans)

My J-Hope light up sign broke just before the concert :’(

I only realized once I turned it on for Not Today(?). One of the three battery packs was broken and I was too embarrassed when I realized so I just left the lights off

I hope he saw the lights at first and got the gist of it, or that he saw it without the lights but I doubt it because we were waaaaay at the back

The songs that I found the most lit were Fire, Dope, Cypher 4, Blood Sweat & Tears, Baepsae

The songs that ended up being most meaningful to me considering the date were Save Me, Cypher 4, and Spring Day

Some songs were kind of remix versions (Dope?)

They had a quick greeting after their first couple of songs where they all introduced themselves in English

During the first(?) ment the camera focused on Suga for a good couple of minutes and the audience was screaming like crazy, but I don’t think he knew and he seemed to be oblivious that we were cheering for him? XD just stood there like a cutie

When the camera focused on J-Hope for his turn he motioned for us to scream louder, the boy really wanted to hear us

We were surprised they performed Boy In Luv and Baepsae

BIL was a short version in a mashup with Danger and another song I can’t remember

Jin and J-Hope did a lot of aegyo throughout the show

We’re pretty sure Jin saw @observetheview‘s fan sign for him, and he blew a kiss in our direction

In my opinion J-Hope had the most stage presence, and he’s even more gorgeous and charismatic in person

With his blond hair and glowing skin he was literally the sun :3

He was the moodmaker of the show tbh, he got us to jump, wave our arms around, and cheer louder but I couldn’t really jump because I was afraid it would hurt like it did at the shinee concert

They each did their solo performances from the Wings album

They actually performed every song from Wings, I think, and in the same order off the album except for some of the solos

Jimin’s solo was super sexy??!! At one point the backup dancers picked him up yes king

Suga’s solo was so emotional, even though I don’t know the lyrics I could seriously feel the emotions

Just before Suga’s solo everyone was chanting “Min Yoongi! Min Yoongi!”

J-Hope’s was so much fun! He seemed to be really enjoying himself

And they played baby pictures of him on the screen :3 I had a hard time deciding whether to look at him or the pics

He had another dance solo later on too

I FINALLY DECIDED ON A BIAS

For years I’ve been undecided between Rap Monster and J-Hope, but I finally picked *drum roll* J-Hope!

During Rap Monster’s solo everyone chanted “We love you! We love you!”

Jin’s solo tho T_T he got so much applause and I’m glad. His performance was also super emotional and his singing was so good. Part of the stage lifted him up at one point

THEY’RE ALL AMAZING SINGERS SERIOUSLY

And they’re all cuter in person

Suga is so talented but pretty quiet

There were a ton of stage dynamics

Some of them came up from under the stage, during Jungkook’s solo part of the stage was spinning slowly, they had a phone booth on the stage during Rap Monster’s solo that he went into etc

They all spoke completely in English, but Suga added a few things in Korean like “kamsahamnida” and “saranghae”

They did not have a translator, probably because Rap Monster is fluent in English

Their ments seemed shorter/fewer compared to other kpop concerts I’ve been to (maybe because they didn’t have a translator?) Or maybe that’s just how their shows go

I had trouble hearing them at some times because the audience was too loud

They had a lot of cool VCRs!

After they saw the rainbow ocean toward the end one of them said we were their rainbow :3

Also props to the people who organizd the rainbow ocean! They handed out coloured bags to people before the show depending on what section we were sitting in

J-Hope(?) said we were his wings and that we’d fly higher together

Someone threw something onto the stage near J-Hope during one of their ments, right as he was turning, and he went WHOA WHOA and it was so cute

They held out their mics a lot for us to sing along

Especially during Dope

Rap Monster talked about how they felt when they heard the Prudential Center sold out for their shows

He asked us if we would stay with them “until the end” and had a big smile when we cheered like crazy

Sparkly red jackets!

Also J-Hope’s purple robe during Cypher 4

They didn’t perform War of Hormone which is what first got me into them :( or if they did I must have blacked out for it which isn’t uncommon for me at concerts lol

Their “last” song was Wings (Interlude) and it was so lit, everyone was clapping along

I felt like the show was just getting started when it was ending :(

2 3 and Spring Day were their encore songs

They ended with Spring Day

I had so many feelings, not only because I LOVE the lyrics, but the song came out around the time I had to go to the ER last month, and while I was kinda bed-ridden I just listened to it on repeat for days. So it has a lot of significance for me I’M NOT BEING DRAMATIC OK

The choreo for Spring Day stands out the most for me, it was honestly so beautiful 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

V got ahold of one of the fan banners and kissed it

Jungkook put an American flag around his shoulders

They all stayed on the stage a really long time after Spring Day, while the ending of the song kept playing on a loop

They made sure to wave at literally everyone

They were giving us hearts, especially V

J-Hope looked emotional toward the end

They made sure we recognized the backup dancers and their contributions to the show and they all bowed together

V was the very last one to leave the stage, along with J-Hope

There were credits on the screen afterwards, and clips of all of them preparing (for their tour?)

We could only afford to go to the one show :(

Bonus: I had a BTS related dream after the concert. In it me and @observetheview were driving to her apartment after the concert and on the way I spotted Suga and another member I couldn’t remember upon waking, standing at a bus stop in a residential area. I waved my BTS hat at them as we drove by xD

One day, I went to their fansign event, and as I was going to have my final exam, I asked them to cheer me on. That singer told me, “you dont study well, do you?”. At that very moment, I was left speechless. The young me was really upset hearing that. I cried a lot when I got home. After that, I studied really hard. Now I become a kindergarten teacher, hah, I am someone who teaches! FTISLAND’s Choi Minhwan, you never really know people, dont you? Now, I am teacher, you know!

Hongki: No, but really, did Minhwan really told you that you cant study well? Ah.. he shouldn’t have done that.. Minhwan is someone who is short in thought when reading people, he even jokingly said those kind of stuffs to a fan. So, first of all, congratulations for being a kindergarten teacher. As his hyung, I would like to relay my apologies in his place. xD;;

Hongki: So, who are these people who have got everyone asking where have they been all this time?? XD

Hongki: No, but Seunghyun and Minhwan came here on its first broadcast. Jonghoon and Jaejin, where have you been that you come only now?

Jonghoon: You didn’t call us!

Hongki: What are you talking aboutt??

Jaejin: What do you mean what you’re talking about, I have been wanting to come to guest here but you didn’t call us!

Hongki: On our first broadcast, I called you guys, but the two of you had another schedule, didn’t you??

Jaejin: Excuse me, as for that, I had a movie premiere for my movie at that time! How was I supposed to come here?

Hongki: Thats why, its not that I didn’t call you, but you had another schedule! Jonghoon also went to the movie premiere, didn’t you? (t/n: At that time, FT was split into two, Seunghyun and Minhwan went to support Hongki on Hongkira’s first broadcast, while Jonghoon went to support Jaejin on his movie premiere ;) team work at its best! <3) But, at least, Jaejin posted on SNS that he was listening to Hongkira. Jonghoon, what about you?

Jonghoon: I listened to all of it! There are some stuffs that I even still remember! That corner that Seunghyun guests with DinDin for example! (--> Jonghoon has been diligently following Seunghyun’s corner in Hongkira! ;))

Hongki: But Seunghyun, everytime you came to guest, you have always been telling us stuffs about Youngshin, you never talked about the members. Can you tell us what the members have been up to lately?

Seunghyun: As for Minhwan, he has been writing songs with me. For Jaejin, he has been asking me to have some coffee together lately. Which I refused lol. I caught some cold, so I have been just staying at my house lately. As for Jonghoonnie hyung, he has like always been busy with golf, he even just returned from a golf event overseas. So that’s why, we are planning to grab some drinks together the five of us now.

Hongki: Thats right, we’re planning to grab some drinks after this, but apparently, only Seunghyun wont be able to make it tonight..

Seunghyun: Right.. there is a friend coming from Japan, so I can’t go today..

Jonghoon: Just ask them to hang out together..

Seunghyun: Are you sure you won’t mind, together with guys?

Jonghoon: Ah its guys, thats definitely a no then! xD;;

Listener: FT who have been together for the last 10 years, please give yourself some compliments, “for the last 10 years, I have been doing a good job at this”.. for self-complimenting like this, its something that FT can’t miss, can we? Who wants to start first?

Jaejin: /right away/ Me, me! This is Jaejin who is ready anytime to compliment himself. Jaejin-ah.. for the last 10 years in FTISLAND, you have been doing a good job as the middle guy, Jaejin, you are so commendable..

Jonghoon: Jonghoon-ah, in the last 10-ish years, you have been doing a good job in staying together with the rest 4 retards (the members laughed xD), you have been through a lot. From now on too, please take care of those retards well.

Hongki: Ah, but you know, “retards” isn’t too appropriate for broadcasts

Jonghoon: Ah really, its because its been a while that I’m on a broadcast

Jaejin: Then, (change it into) stupid kids!

Seunghyun: Fools! xDD

Minhwan’s turn

Minhwan: Minhwan-ah, during your dorm life, for being able to bear with hyungs who wouldn’t turn off the light even until super late at night that you always cried, I am really grateful.

Seunghyun: Seunghyun-ssi who is DJ-ing in Hongkira will give it a try. Ah but, what is there to think about, you have done a good job for being able to be a guest DJ in Hongkira!

Hongki: Ah, Seunghyun, I didn’t know that you liked it that much to be in a broadcast!

Jonghoon: This kid is so fake lol

Seunghyun: I have learned a lot xDD

Hongki’s turn

Hongki: For being able to hang in there with your throat being in both good or bad condition so that you can sing well, congratulations. Ah no, not congrats, you’re so commendable!

Hongki: Actually, there are a lot of questions that have to do with our 10th year. For that, we will all come here again when we have our anniversary, so we can continue answering all of them. You will come, won’t you when we celebrate our 10th anniv?

Members: Sure, if you call us!

Hongki: We all definitely should come then!

Hongki asked them to say their feelings of being in FT for 10 years in 7 words since FTISLAND is also written in 7 words (t/n: as in 에프티 아일랜드). They panicked, they had no idea of what to say lol

Jaejin said something, but everyone wasn’t too amused, they said his is too boring lol In the end, Jonghoon said “Not 10th year, but 60th”, he said that 80 or 100 years would be too much, so 60th year would be the best. If we get to our 60th anniversary, we’d be 80 years old by then, wouldn’t that be great?

Listener: You guys, didn’t you go celebrate the new year together? What do you usually say when you toast your drinks? Please recommend us some cool ones!

Hongki: Um, we just say gonbe?

Minhwan: We say jjan!

Jonghoon: Lets die today!

Hongki: But, yes, we did have a new year celebration together, but in the end I couldn’t make it because I was in Taiwan.

Seunghyun: Yes, its too bad..

Minan caught a cold, so he went to the hospital earlier and received IV. But he said he’s okay, and that noone needs to be worried.

Hongki: We are going to do a live today, its been a while that we do.

Jonghoon: Yes, but radio live is something that I ended up fearing. Because when we just debuted, we did a lot of mistakes when we did radio lives.

Jaejin: Ahaha I remember that!

Hongki: But, you did mistakes too though even after that

Jonghoon: Yes, but the mistakes (that we did when we just debuted) left a deep scar in my heart (xD;;)

Hongki: Ahh.. for the song that we are going to perform tonight, its Becoming You. Its a song that Jonghoon composed isn’t it?

Jonghoon: Yes, its a song that I made for our last album half a year ago.

Hongki: You made a lot of songs, didn’t you? If you have to choose, how do you rank Becoming You?

Jonghoon: Umm.. if I have to, its on #1. The meaning of this song is so deep.

Jonghoon: I have been working on our 10th anniversary album.

Jaejin: Talking about our 10th anniversary album, in the past 10 years, usually we just worked hard to repay our fans’ love, we just worked with a comfortable feeling. But for this, the feeling of burden and resposibility is no joke. So I focus even more when I work on songs and spend more time on each, I think I work three times harder than usual. I just kept writing songs lately.

Hongki: Ah, thank you. I feel really grateful to you guys. When I work on songs, you don’t. But when I don’t, you guys do.

Minhwan: But thats a good thing, isn’t it? We fill in each other.

Seunghyun: I feel grateful to Minhwan. Lately we spent a whole lot of time at his house together, working on songs, be it songs that would be good for FT or just for both of us.

Jaejin: Ah, the difference between me and Hongki hyung is that, I can sing in lives and concerts, but I’m still afraid to sing in broadcasts. I’m too nervous. I will work even harder then, thank you!

And then they had a karaoke war, dongsaeng team and hyung team. Dongsaeng team (Minhwan+Seunghyun) sang Supreme Team’s Super Magic, while hyung team (Jonghoon+Jaejin) sangn Lee Juck’s Dont Worry Dear. Hyung team got 95 while dongsaeng team got 87.

Listener: Whoa FNC did you see that? The two of them (Jonghoon+Jaejin) did so well, please give them more jobs, it reminds me of FT Triple.

Hongki: Ah if thats the case, Minhwan, what about you? (t/n: since FT Triple is Jonghoon, Jaejin, and Minhwan)

Minhwan: Well, theyre all good except for me then. Lol If there is the next chance, I will do better.

Jonghoon: As this is a very special moment, a lot of people have been looking forward to how we are going to celebrate it be it a 10th anniversary album or various other plans. As much as everyone looking forward to it, we will do our best to prepare for it now. Everyone will probably be a bit surprised about it.

Hongki: Give us a super tiny hint!

Jonghoon: Umm.. 3/7, 4/7, 5/7, 6/7?

Hongki: Eh, what is that? (Could it be that Hongki or some members had no idea about it all? I think only Leader and Jaejin know? Lol)

Jonghoon: 3/7, 4/7, 5/7/ 7/7, 8/7..

Jaejin: Its something that came up a lot everytime we talked ;D

Minhwan: In February, Seunghyun and I will have a fanmeeting together. We will perform our self-composed songs.

Hongki: Eh really? I had no idea about it! Where will that be?

Minhwan: In Hongdae.

Hongki: No but is this something that you can reveal already?

Hongki: Ah really, there are a lot of surprises to the end.. xD
