last attempt to bring this to light: the tl;dr of the khaenri'ah/kaeya/angel(seelie) connections

kaeya owns a book called adventures of angelos; in greek angelos means angel

kaeya (and venti's) favorite haunt is angel's share; the logo for angel's share is two angels drinking from a wine glass

kaeya and dainsleif like death after noon, an alcoholic drink whose main ingredient is absinthe. absinthe is created from wormwood (apsinthos), also the name of a fallen angel or star

the abyss mages chant in enochian which is the language of the angels. they chant in this language to regenerate their shields or control hilichurls. when kaeya spots the abyss mage back in the temple of the wolf, it speaks to him in enochian. kaeya claims he's "blessed with certain linguistic powers" when asked how he obtained information about the abyss twin

there is a tale of a seelie survivor (speculated to be columbina) singing in a strange unfamiliar language to the listener

arama says the seelie used to be as fast as a storm; kaeya has a stamina decreasing passive called hidden strength

when we first meet kaeya it's notably in front of the anemo god statue, which has wings, in front of the cathedral. kaeya is also seen in front of this statue in official art, his character teaser and in his hangout in the venti route

kaeya mentions he likes listening to hymns

the traveler notes the sinner is reminiscent of the upside-down defiled statue of the anemo archon, which also has wings

nabu malikata is a seelie survivor, her last name malikata can also mean angels in arabic (malayikata); seelie are heavenly envoys/angels. venti is seen playing with a seelie in an official video

seelie will seek humans for favors and lead them to treasure. even though it was a ruse, in his story quest, kaeya sought the traveler for help and guided them to treasure.

the jinn are born from waterlilies nourished by nabu malikata's blood. kaeya gifts the traveler a ~mysterious~ lamp said to have housed a powerful jinni.

the symbol for the spantamad darshan is a peacock which is based on the mythical peacock angel. this peacock existed in-game and was sacred. kaeya's constellation is a peacock. (it's possible the peacock was the divine bird simurgh -> fashioned from khvarena -> born from nabu malikata's body)

venti writes a poem to kaeya that could imply kaeya came from the dark sea. the ruins in the dark sea contain palaces of the seelie

both nabu malikata and columbina don't understand or possess human emotion. columbina is unbothered in every situation not unlike kaeya's cavalier attitude towards serious matters <- see crepus's death scene

in the official art for genshin concert 2021, venti and kaeya are shown holding a harp and a trumpet, both instruments associated with angels

oh you know. uhhh it was mostly leftover business boy brain but there is a fair amount of "hmm can this person communicate? are they emotionally stable or at the very least intelligent?" floating around too

Do they have any nervous habits? If they know, what made them start doing them?

occasionally he'll just wiggle his toes in his shoes. like uhhh tapping ur fingers on a desk or something but with his toesy woesies

okay so like. as far as he remembers it it's just him waving around a rectangular object and babbling because he was Baby age (it was actually him being given a picture frame of his family and expected to look at it. he didn't understand bc, again, Baby and just played with it)

What’s something that really repulses them? 

all the food bits that build up at the bottom of the sink when you're doing dishes tbh. also he didn't like dayquil before the purple and now it's just fucking nasty

What would be the worst way to die, in your character’s opinion?

i wish you hadn't asked this. anyway, the worst way to die in apsinthos' opinion would be to be abruptly separated from friends and/or the people who care about you without them knowing or being able to tell them anything before going kaput. he doesn't know where this opinion came from nor could he actually explain it to someone if they asked

Do they have anything that they consider a good luck charm? 

nope! not really! he used to have some stuff in his apartment that he used to consider important but he left it behind when yknow the whole mob stuff started and hasn't thought about it since. hm unfortunate

Been debating on whether or not to just post this alone or go as far as drawing out the other angels and fallen and demons, but thaaat may be a bit much for now since I’ve got other projects that I want to get done before the year’s over.

That and been wanting to get this out-- drawing Raziel’s wings especially and just making nice pretty refs, even get that asshole at the end there drawn out.

John [Angel] He considers himself a generic angel; as generic as one can get, especially playing a harp. But he is a good dude, who has more kindness to give despite the occasional sarcastic snark. Took to writing too.

Shiriel [Virtue] Angel who resides over resonates, vibrations and sound waves. One who gives power to spells and incantations through vocalization/sounds, while helping other creatures use vibrations such as bunnies thumping the ground to warn others of danger. Lesser known due to the help of Raziel keeping them secret, for safety. Otherwise they’re an intuitive angel, pretty chilled and patient who enjoys helping others.�� Raziel [Seraphim Archangel: Cherub, a member of the Ophanim, and chief of the Er'elim] Angel of Mysteries and Secrets. author of Sefer Raziel HaMalach ("Book of Raziel the Angel"), a book of secret knowledge and magick resides in. A quiet enigmatic guy and with vast intelligence, who keeps tabs over the balance between the divine and demonic, who ensures that some secrets are kept as such. 

Wormwood/Apsinthos [Fallen Angel] Fallen angel of curse and pestilence. An apothecary. Very intelligent, patient, and calculative, but chaotic and sadistic despite his calmer demeanor. He tends to lurk in the background, like an adviser who provides ways to help, but may be more dangerous than the person he’s helping. Sees Raziel as an ever present obstacle, which he doesn’t enjoy of course.

Cerastus Knight-Lancer “Apsinthos” 

One of the more uncommon patterns of Knight-Engines fielded during the era of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, the Cerastus Knight-Lancer was a unique and highly specialized first-strike instrument. With its great speed and loping gait, Lancers excel at executing outflanking assaults and rapid strike maneuvers that other, slower Knights would be hard-pressed to carry out. Their armament also reflects this style of battle, with no thought given to long-range firepower in favor of murderous close-combat capabilities. The Cerastus Shock Lance from which the pattern draws its name is a massive magneto-hydraulic power spear wreathed in a lethal disruption field. Although primarily a melee weapon, the disruption field can also be projected in short-ranged blasts, giving the Lancer limited ranged capabilities. Lancers also carry an Ion Gauntlet Shield on one of their arms. This is a more concentrated, powerful version of the Directional Ion Shields mounted on Knight Paladins, but lacks its larger cousin’s tactical flexibility.  

Apsinthos was the favored engine of House Vyronii’s scion Elsbet Vorr. During the dark days of the Horus Heresy House Vyronii remained loyal to the Imperium, famously swearing that they would stand firm against the arch-Traitor or perish in the attempt. At Hive Ilium during the Manachean War Elsbet and her fellow Knight-Lancers demonstrated this oath when they sacrificed their engines in a suicidal charge against the Reaver-class Battle Titan Raxvalian of the treacherous Legio Tempestus. All fell in glory, sacrificing their lives to bring down the renegade God-Engine. Her mortal remains were entombed along with her engine within the rubble of the shattered hive city. 

As was typical of the time, Apsinthos is replete with the heraldry of its House and pilot. The jagged red and white band (referred to as a ‘raguly bend sinister’ by the Adepts Pursuivant of the Officio Militaris College of Arms) is part of Elsbet Vorr’s personal heraldry. It represents a harrowing hardship overcome by the bearer and was adopted by Vorr after her triumph over the psionic domination of Damaetus III/II’s autocthonic xenos population. The crowned skull and lighting bolts motif of House Vyronii is also prominently represented.
