i just realized something extrodinary.
Ouranos, Kronos, and Zeus were/may be overthrown by a son, right?
Ouranos's wasn't prophesized, but man. it probably would've been.
Meanwhile, Kronos's was prophesized.
And we're pretty sure Zeus is paranoid about that happening to him.
and i was thinking; "wow, i wonder what, exactly, about them that has this air of "will be overthrown" hanging over them."
and it hit me.
they're all terrible fathers. the cycle keeps repeating.
and it won't stop until whatever's wrong is corrected.
and who, of Zeus's godly sons, is widely acclaimed to be one of, if not the best, godly parent?
Apollo.

Fake MTG card I made as a world-building exercise for Ouranos.
[edit 16.4.24] My thought process was that, aside from a few select cards that I'll make, there's no way to block this card or destroy it prematurely. 'Immutable' was the best keyword I could come up for that.

The Planet City Ouranos - the crown jewel of the SSC, where they have secured a second title of Safe Suitable Community. With spiraled bands of greenery visible from space, it’s one of the highest ranked planets in the system. Education, medicine for all, with various arts promoted, and the latest model of mech and life sustaining technology invited. It’s a glittering paradise, with a quiet plague of sickness falling on all who live here long. Those who work for SSC peoples have a chance of being promoted to a “new circle” of work, and happily pack up their homes to never been seen again

Part 3 of me trying to compose a family tree for the Greek Gods based on what I've seen on Wikipedia while trying to also give my own thoughts and personal interpretations on it:
Last time, we discussed Gaia and most of her kids. We ended with her convincing her children to cut up their father. Now, let's discuss what happened next.
When Ouranos died, his son Kronos castrated him and threw his genitals to earth. They reached earth and formed new beings. When Ouranos's genitals fell to earth, their blood mingled with the Earth/Gaia, leading to the birth of three new beings: The Furies, The Giants and The Meliae. Meanwhile, the genitalia themselves fall into the rippling waves of the ocean, leading to Aphrodite being born from the sea foam which rises shortly thereafter.
I guess this means Aphrodite is the oldest of the Olympians. She may actually have been around during Kronos's reign, which technically means she's probably ages older than Zeus. Does this mean she's a primordial deity, or does this make her the first god? I'm not entirely sure. Either way, she is the oldest olympian by far.
But now, let's skip ahead. Zeus has overthrown Kronos and defeated the Giants. Desperate now, Gaia calls on her last son (her only one with Tartarus): the monstrous Typhon. Typhon is also the husband of Echidna. Of all of Gaia's children, Typhon is her strongest. I'd also bet he's her youngest. But that's just me making a guess.
Anyways, let's end it here for now. We're now all done with Primordial Gods (unless I missed anyone, course. Please tell me if I did), so when next I come back to this we'll discuss the first generation of Titans.

I love my mythology class, cause I get to just sit there and listen to my prof talk about Ouranos getting his junk cut off and Zeus having so many damn kids and the creation symbolism of sky gods in greek mythology.
