Calling all Shadowhunters creators--it's time to dust off your notebooks, sketchbooks, laptops, drawing tablets, and other creative instruments.

Just under two weeks to sign-up for By the Angel Bingo!

What is By the Angel Bingo? By the Angel Bingo is a Shadowhunters-themed event where you request a grid of prompts in the layout of a bingo board. The goal is to fill the prompts until you get a traditional bingo (filling 3 or 5 in a row, column, or diagonally) or until you blackout your entire board! 

Do I have to be a part of the Malec Discord Server to sign up? No, being a part of the Malec Discord Server Community is not required to be a part of this event, but it is highly encouraged if you’re looking for friends to bounce ideas off of, if you need help finding a beta reader, or if you’re just looking for Shadow Fam to hang out with. 

What is the schedule?

Sign-ups open: February 1st

Sign-ups close: February 29th

Last day to request prompt changes: March 31st

Technically I've... kinda already done three already since the start of the year but I'll leave it as a surprise until the next time I update this. The goals aren't particularly hard to accomplish but ei, many things can happen in a month, let alone a year.

Pose studies: learn how to draw poses better

KOI cover: book cover for “Knights of Irene”

Abaddon Webcomic: this is a HARD maybe, but I’ve tried to make this webcomic happen 2 or 3 different times and I always got sick and tired of it before I got ANYWHERE with it. I think if I take it in more of a mini comic approach like Shen or Merryweather!!

There are a few more ideas I had that I didn’t put on my bingo!!

Leo’s Final Form: conceptualize Leo’s final form and draw the finalized version

Backgrounds: get better at drawing backgrounds

Foliage: get better at drawing foliage

Color Theory: learn color theory

Interesting shading: play around with colors and shade with different colors perhaps to make it pop?

Aphmau art: draw more Aphmau art

KOI: Finish planning out KOI and potentially start writing it? It’s not art in the sense of it being written not drawn but whatever I wanna do this

Commissions: keep doing commissions! I wanna try to do at least 20 this year 👉👈

Make OC profiles on UnVale: it’s like toyhouse but it doesn’t make me want to kms when using it

Learn VTuber Rigging: I just wanna know how to do it :3

Anyways I’m sure there’s more but this is just a list of everything I can think of off the top of my head! A week from now I might decide to not do any of this LMFAO! But we’ll see how much I actually do this year!! Yippee!!

💖💖💖2023 Art Bingo Sheet/This to Look Forward to💖💖💖

Thank you @/AlmaKRowan on Twitter for this awesome art bingo 2023 sheet! Had fun with making it and it's definitely helped with setting some goals!

I’ve made the decision to try and set some goals and plans for 2023! Here’s some (vague) ideas of things to come for the year!

This lovely person also released a monthly goal planner sheet that I downloaded and am filling out right. I plan to release that pretty soon, probably next Friday!

I plan to do my best to stick to these goals and plans as closely as possible. I’m not the best at this but I REALLY REALLY want to try and do this. Especially as I’m trying to turn this into a small business and all so here’s some things you can look forward to in the coming year!

Also, keep an eye on my Ko-Fi memberships I plan to focus more on those with release early things to that and early updates to that as well! Memberships start at $1 for access to basically all early releases so check it out!

My art insta will also get more focus so give that a follow!
