Zimbabwean business mogul, Strive Masiyiwa has received an invitation to join the American Academy of Arts and Sciences as an International Honorary Member.
"Now today I want to share with you some very special news thanks in part to these teachers over the years: About a week ago I was informed that I'd been invited to be an International Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
Very honoured and surprised, I had my team ask the Academy about other African members who have been invited to join this Academy over the past 243 years.
I discovered amongst the IHMs and Fellows in fact, some of my friends, African brothers and sisters like James Manyika, Aliko Dangote, and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Also my much-missed late brother, Kofi Annan."
Strive Masiyiwa.

I really wanna know why do sarada stans LOVE to insult other boruto girls(chocho&sumire) They could be getting some attention for a few mins and these mfs lose their minds over it and be like "SArAda iS liTerallY thE DaUghTer oF SAkUra & SaSuke shE's Sm BetTter" LIKE IDGAFFFF Sumire & chocho have the potential to be one of the best characters in the boruto verse. (maybe even better than sarada🤭)
+ also ever notice their unsettling obsession with giving her boobs in the aged up fan artsand they turn around and shame hinata for having big boobs💀
EXACTLY
Lol it’s hilarious that they do that tho. As if Sumire can’t take the heroine spot away from Sarada at any point just like Hinata did to Sakura and suddenly she’s the most popular female character in Naruto.
General consensus with fans is that Sarada is just as useless as her mom just with sharingan so it might be in Kishimoto’s best interest to start fresh with Sumire who actually has unique and fresh powers.
Literally the only fans excited about Sarada are the SS stans

Code, Create, Print: 3D Printing As A Teaching Aid
Education has always been about empowering minds, but what if we could add a tangible, hands-on dimension to learning? Enter 3D Printing, the modern-day magic wand that turns imagination into reality. At Makers’ Muse, we believe in harnessing this technology to revolutionize education, unlocking a world of innovation and creativity for students.

One compelling application is in Historical Education. By using 3D printing, educators can recreate historical artifacts and architectural models, providing students with tangible and immersive experiences. For instance, printing scaled replicas of ancient sculptures or famous landmarks like the Colosseum or the Taj Mahal allows students to closely examine historical objects, fostering a deeper understanding of history and culture. Platforms like Tinkercad or Thingiverse provide a plethora of historical models that can be easily printed.
3D printing allows for the creation of precise anatomical models and scientific replicas in the field of Science Education. Consider printing human hearts, brains, or even the solar system. These models are essential aids in comprehending complicated scientific topics and anatomy. Students may investigate and scrutinize these models in depth, improving their understanding of biology, astronomy, and anatomy. NIH 3D Print Exchange and MyMiniFactory, for example, provide a selection of science-related models appropriate for teaching purposes.

For Mathematics And Geometry, 3D printing can produce geometric shapes and math manipulatives, providing students with hands-on learning tools. Printing 3D shapes like cubes, spheres, or pyramids helps in visualizing geometric concepts. Moreover, creating puzzles or manipulatives for fractions, algebraic equations, or geometric theorems fosters an interactive learning environment. Websites like Tinkercad or Mathigon offer customizable and printable math models.
Geography Lessons can be significantly enhanced by printing Interactive Maps And Geographical Landscapes. By creating 3D maps of geographical regions or topographies, students can physically interact with and comprehend terrains and geographical features. These models can aid in understanding geographical concepts in a more tactile and engaging manner. Platforms like MapMaker Kits or Terrain2STL provide tools to generate 3D printable maps.

3D printing aids prototype and design thinking in the field of Engineering And Design. Students may design and print prototypes of their inventions or engineering projects, allowing them to test and iterate their plans. Printing models of bridges or basic machines, for example, can assist students comprehend structural principles and engineering ideas. Applications like as Autodesk Fusion 360 and Tinkercad assist kids in designing and printing their projects.
Furthermore, by generating 3D printed characters or locations from literature, 3D printing may enhance Language Artsand Storytelling. These printed pieces assist students in visualizing and engaging with story themes from books, so encouraging conversations and deeper comprehension. Characters and sceneries appropriate for printing may be found on websites such as HeroForge or Yeggi.
Finally, 3D printing enhances Coding And Robotics Education by allowing for the printing of components for coding projects or robotics kits. Printing robot components or coding-related accessories enhances hands-on learning in STEM subjects. Platforms such as GrabCAD and GitHub provide a diverse collection of 3D models appropriate for robotics and coding projects.

These diverse applications of 3D printing offer educators a multitude of options to create interactive and engaging learning experiences across subjects, making learning more tangible and memorable for school kids.
So, educators, join us in embracing this transformative tool and witness the awe-inspiring journey of learning through 3D printing. Together, let’s sculpt a future where imagination knows no bounds.
In the end, the magic of 3D printing lies not just in what it creates, but in what it inspires within us.

Looking back in time, I wished that I had more learning opportunities during my school-going days. I know that I can’t bring back time. However, I can be part of the opportunities given to our future generations. Currently, I value education more than ever, having volunteered my time during weekends at the children’s classes for Primary 1 & Primary 2 in BW Monastery’s ZEST UNIVERSE.
Tumblr media
As our Master Guru once said:
“Education is the Pivot to the Rise and Fall of Mankind.”
Tumblr media
I am glad that I can play a part in contributing towards youth education for the children who are the hope of our future!
Besides Di Zi Gui (Standards for being a Good Pupil and Child) which we share with the children, the 1.5 hour lessons also include games, craftworks with recycling efforts, singing, action songs, clay craftworks as well as watching educational video clips, etc.

Many of these children who come to BW Monastery for children’s classes, feel right at home. They are indeed an energetic and fun-loving bunch. Due to overwhelming demand, ZEST UNIVERSE organises volunteers to facilitate 2 sessions, namely, 4pm to 5.30pm for the afternoon sessions and 7pm to 8.30pm for the evening sessions.

I am delighted that on Saturdays, I get to see the children. We get to catch up with them and know more about how their week went. It is wonderful to see these children growing up and  even more heartening to hear that they apply some of the values and knowledge taught at ZEST UNIVERSE in their homes and school!
They are such a fortunate group to be able to get close to the Triple Gem at such a young age. Unlike them, I only connected with Buddhism in my early thirties. Well, better late than never!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We had our 1st Graduation at BW Monastery on 10 November and am so proud of the little ones!
Tumblr media
I will continue to volunteer in the children classes and strive to improve our teaching and relevant skills so as to become better teacher and role model for these little ones.
With Metta,
Jasmine

View of the beach
On a beach, the horizon seems to go on forever, and it’s easy to get lost in the beauty of the ocean and the sky. The scene is often a subject of art, but what exactly is being depicted? When a painting depicts a beach, it’s often a simplified version of a scene that actually happens in nature. In real life, the beach is never a uniform color, and the horizon isn’t always a clear line.
