Ask awwwaaayyyy! I hope you all enjoy!
I drew these pictures SO LONG AGO. In fact I think most if not all them were made back in 2022? I penned them later on and I only just RECENTLY colored them! It's been a weird ride guys, gals, and non-binary pals. I attempted to be cool and mysterious with silhouettes but uh, idk about that lol. It was pretty much the first time I've ever done them.

ok, so your ocs are backupsmore students, right? what are they studying and how did they meet fidds and ford?
OKAY YES THEY ARE SOOO !!!
laurie does art and jocelyn is taking nursing/medicine/human biology/psychology !!!
as for how they met fidds and ford, i dont have a concrete idea yet (most of backupsmore lore/time period is MASSIVELY undecided) but i like to imagine jossy and ford share the same bio class and THATS how THEY know each other, but maybeee laurie breifly met ford and fidds at some college party NONE of them wanted to go to, so they just loomed in the corner or smth idk ???
its all still a wip atm, so dont expect anything coherent bcs im NOT AT ALL SURE ABOUT IT FBKHJSIHIUI
ive had these goobers for just under a year and i didnt really start developing them PROPERLY PROPERLY until like 6 months ago so they still have SO much room to grow (thats my excuse)
i also had the idea they lived in the same dorm building? so theres that i can throw out there ig

Oooo hey gravity falls fan!
Do you have any headcanons about any characters? I would love to know!
i am in fact a gravity falls fan!! i don’t have much art for them up on here but i do have a good few drawings on my instagram!
i made a headcanons note maybe a year ago that i never actually shared anywhere, so here’s that :)
stanley pines
- aromantic
- pronouns: he/him
- hates french people (is it a joke? we don’t know)
- has periodic nightmares
- has adhd
- prefers dogs
- atheist. bc of the trauma
- very dangerous driver. in addition to breaking like every law ever he has horrible tunnel vision. very bad at paying attention to his surroundings and often spaces out on the most insignificant objects and ends up almost crashing (or actually crashing)
- like mabel, he used to always lose to stanford in logic based games like checkers and chess. unlike mabel, he always beat stanford at ping pong and feels very happy for himself for it. (part of this is because stanford’s motor skills as a child/teenager were awful.)
stanford pines
- gay asexual
- pronouns: he/him
- has periodic nightmares
- is autistic
- played piano as a child
- struggled with self-harm as a teenager
- forgets basic life functions (e.g. sleeping and eating)
- prefers cats
- ngl ford gives asthma vibes LMAO like my man has horrible lungs
- nervous breakdowns. fiddleford calms him down by taking ford’s wrists in his hands
- agnostic only because the idea of punching god in the face gives him catharsis. still celebrates jewish holidays with stan & the kids
- even worse driver than stan. somehow. every bit of unexpressed anger he has gets expressed when he drives. wants every other car on the road to drop off the face of the earth. unhinged man that then turns around and says “what. i’m not a bad driver.” during the portal years fiddleford demands control of the car during trips.
- yeah he gets bullied as a kid for his fingers but he also gets bullied for EVERY autistic trait/symptom/display he has. it’s true he told me so
fiddleford mcgucket (1982)
- biromantic heterosexual* (see footnote. please.)
- pronouns: any
- likes to grow plants - idea credit to the fic ‘not one to forget’ on ao3! read it if u haven’t, you will have no regrets
- prefers neither dogs nor cats, likes other random animals better (cough. raccoons. cough)
- has to remind stanford to perform his basic life functions
- my mcgucket backupsmore headcanon is that he was shooting for a scholarship (or something similar to what stanford was going for) for a slightly less prestigious school than WCT and then when he showed his project to the scout people and it like blew up and hit one of them in the face and so needless to say they did not accept him
- he hates being called stupid more than anything
- he has anxiety. and yes that’s also pre-and-during-portal-years. the guy is nervous about everything. he nervous stims. chews his nails pulls at his hair shaking hands and legs the whole deal
- he doesn’t really talk about it either. he marinates. he marinates and ford developed a sense for it
- raised christian, really not that into it. has more important things to do
mabel pines
- sexuality: pansexual, or omnisexual. haven’t made up my mind yet but she’s definitely mspec!
- pronouns: she/her
- is she cis or trans?? who knows i can’t decide
- absolutely was into loom bracelets when they were popular
- also silly bandz
- 5’8” when she’s grown up. dipper is 5’7”.
- she collects squishmallows and/or beanie babies. they all have names. they take up half of her bed.
i have like nothing for dipper besides the classic transhet headcanon & him being shorter than mabel 😭 mystery trio phase hit me real hard ok
* don’t use this post for discourse. “bUt ThE SpLiT aTtRaCtIOn mOdEL iS onLy FoR aSpEc PeOpLe” too bad. i’m aroace and i say it’s *fine* who *cares*

Both sets of Pines twins are autistic 😌
Agreed! They're all on some part of the spectrum, and I'm sure different neurodivergent folks can relate to them for different reasons. You could probably make a "convincing case" for most of the characters in the show being some form of neurodivergent.
I can relate to mabel and ford specifically because they remind me of my weirdly paradoxical ways of existing with both ADD (diagnosed) and Autism (undiagnosed but painfully obvious)
Like how Ford's house was a complete mess but he still organised things in a way that made sense to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mabel and ford both like organising their thoughts through scrapbooks and journals respectively, wich makes me think of how I need to write stuff down or else I'll forget easily.
They also use them as means of expressing their appreciation for things and friends and family and whatever they're passionate about at that moment.
Like their own little hyperfixation stations!

I’d like a little scene of smoll Ford having a nightmare and mustering the courage to go up to Angie and Stan’s room for comfort^^
Happy early birthday ;)
Thank you :)
I also got this request from an Anonymous, who specified they would like it during the time when Stan doesn't know the kid he's taking care of is actually his twin, not his twin's son. So I went with that for this, so that it fulfills both requests in one. Hope you like it!
———————————————————————————————————–
Ford sat bolt upright, heart racing, covered in a cold sweat.  He quickly grabbed one of his many stuffed animals at hand, a plush axolotl given to him by Angie.  Squeezing the stuffed animal close to his chest, he tried to steady his breathing.
It’s okay.  Everything’s okay.  Ground yourself in the now.  Though he was able to calm his pounding heart, the anxiety didn’t fade.  Dammit.  Come on.  I don’t want to do it.  Ford closed his eyes, but immediately opened them again, unnerved by the loss of the soft glow of his nightlight.
“No,” he whined out loud.  He hung his head with a sigh.
Time for the nuclear option.  Still clinging to his stuffed animal, he swung his legs over the side of the bed and slid off.  His bedroom door was ajar, and he pushed it open the rest of the way as he exited.  Thankfully, Stan and Angie had installed a nightlight in the hallway, not just his bedroom.  They claimed that it was in case Ford needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, but given how many times they made it clear he could visit them if he had a nightmare, he felt it wasn’t the only reason.  Damned nightmares.  I can’t even remember what they’re about when I wake up!  Why is something I don’t remember keeping me from falling asleep?!  But that had been the case ever since he was reduced to a child.  Hopefully, seeking comfort from his twin would be less humiliating than from his former foster parents, Wyatt and Madeline.
Ford knew the way to Stan and Angie’s bedroom, but even if he didn’t, he would have found it immediately.  Stan’s snoring could probably be heard two houses over.
Honestly, it’s a miracle he found a spouse who can sleep through it.  Ford tentatively pushed open the bedroom door.  Angie’s side of the bed faced the door.  She was sleeping facedown, her limbs akimbo.  Ford was reminded of his college roommate, Fiddleford McGucket, who slept in the same manner.  It wasn’t the first time Angie reminded him of his old friend.  But Fiddleford talked about his family a lot.  None of his relatives have a name as normal as “Angie”.
Ford walked around to Stan’s side of the bed.  Stan was sleeping on his back, possibly the cause of his snoring, and sprawled, but less than Angie.  Ford nervously tugged on Stan’s arm dangling over the side of the bed.  The snoring stopped immediately.
“Whuzza…oh.”  Stan turned onto his side.  “Ford?”
              “Yes,” Ford squeaked.
              “What’s going on?” Stan asked.
“I, um, I had- I had a-” Ford stammered.  To his frustration, he didn’t feel any less embarrassed asking for comfort from Stan.  Thankfully, Stan caught on.
“Did you have a nightmare?” Stan asked softly.  Ford nodded, tears pricking the corners of his eyes.  “Do you want to snuggle with me and Angie?”
It’s “Angie and I”, Stanley.  You’re a teacher, you should have better grammar.  Ford immediately felt bad.  Don’t be ornery towards someone you’re asking for help.
              “Yes,” Ford mumbled.
“No problem,” Stan said.  “You’re in luck, actually.  Half the time, Angie takes all the blankets.  The other half of the time, she throws ‘em all off.  Tonight’s a night she’s not being a blanket hog.”  Ford made a noncommittal noise.  “Wanna hand getting up?”
              “Yes, please.”
“You got it.”  Stan reached down, picked Ford up, and set him on the bed, between himself and Angie.  “Go ahead and crawl under the covers, sport.”  Ford obediently pulled the blanket over him.  Stan turned to face him.  “…Wanna talk about it?”
              “About what?”
“Your nightmare,” Stan said.  “If you don’t wanna talk about it, that’s fine.  But I figured I’d ask.”  Ford looked at his stuffed animal, avoiding eye contact with Stan.
“I don’t remember it,” he said quietly.  Stan was silent for a moment.
“Do you really not remember or are you saying that to avoid talking about it?” he asked pointedly.
“I don’t remember!” Ford said, louder than he meant to.  He winced.
“Don’t worry, you’re not gonna wake up Angie,” Stan said, immediately picking up on what Ford was worried about.  “She sleeps through everything.  She falls off the bed at least once a week and doesn’t realize until her alarm goes off and she wakes up on the floor.”
              “Oh.  Good.”
“I believe you that you don’t remember your nightmare,” Stan continued.  “But I wanted to make sure you weren’t saying that just to keep me from getting upset.  Like I said, it’s fine if you don’t wanna talk about it.  I’m not gonna try to pull it outta you.  Even kids have boundaries that need to be respected.”
“Did you learn that phrase from An- Aunt Angie?” Ford muttered.
Dammit, I almost forgot to tack “Aunt” in front of Angie’s name.  This façade is difficult to keep up during the day, let alone in the middle of the night.  Stan chuckled.
“You’re just like your dad, you know that?”  He ruffled Ford’s hair.  “All right, if you don’t wanna talk about stuff, let’s focus on getting to sleep.  We’ve got school in the morning.”  Ford nodded silently.  He rolled over, facing away from Stan.  To his surprise, he felt Stan’s hand on his back, making gentle circular motions.  “Remember, kid.  You’re safe here.”
“Yeah.”  Ford closed his eyes, already feeling better.  “I know.”

so, I'm reading Jersey Boy (AWESOME fic by the way!) and I've had this on my mind for a while is Fiddleford being a hippie in college a canon/official thing or just a very popular headcanon? because I've seen it in many other fanarts/fanfics as well
Firstly, thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoy! I'm actually making progress on the fic as we speak, at least while I have downtime at work.
Secondly, to answer your question, Hippie!Fiddleford isn't explicitly canon, but I believe the headcanon stems from the PEACE poster in Ford's dorm, as seen in the studying montage of ATOTS. (Of note, some people will say that the room with the peace poster is a library, but the wallpaper does perfectly match the wallpaper in Ford's dorm seen later on in the episode, so I'm fairly certain it's the dorm.)
I believe Alex Hirsch has said that Fiddleford was Ford's roommate in a stream, so some people point to that as evidence that one of them was a hippie. And Ford is usually ruled out for one reason or another (he was too study-oriented perhaps, though I admit I do wish more fanfiction explored Hippie!Ford as a concept) so that leaves Fiddleford.
That being said, anti-war sentiment was generally popular in colleges nationwide (especially since college was one way for people to be deferred from the draft, and many young men took advantage of that,) and that isn't necessarily synonymous with being a "hippie" exactly. Like, you could hate the war, and hypothetically put up a peace poster without being a hippie. A hippie was specifically a youth counterculture movement throughout the 60s and not exclusively during the Vietnam war - there was much more to being a hippie than just being anti-war.
To this day, I'm still not convinced that Fiddleford was necessarily a hippie, at least in canon.
But I started writing Jersey Boy at a time when Hippie!Fiddleford was a pretty popular headcanon, and it fit itself into the setting I wanted to write, specifically of the Fall Semester of 1969, and so it stuck.

Love your paralyzed ford au, It really puts into perspective of what could of happened had the fight even worse. I wanted to ask how did Ford cope with being in a wheelchair and being unable to talk, both at first and near the end. Did he struggle with routine and being dependent on Stan?
Yeah, it really does put that into perspective. They really could've seriously injured each other even worse than Stan getting branded. Or even straight up killed the other on accident.
As for your question, oh boy did he struggle at first. Sometimes in the early days of his paralysis, an exhausted Ford forgot his legs just didn't work and fell off the bed trying to stand up. Things that had been a normal height for him before were now impossible to reach without help. Not to mention the house was an absolute nightmare to navigate before Fiddleford made it more accessible, often requiring the help of Stan when he wanted to go upstairs for various reasons. And of course, the nothingness he felt below the waist was something he didn't feel he'd ever get used to.
As for losing his voice, Ford hated it without a doubt. He often caught himself trying to yell to Stan when he needed something, then just balled his fists when no sound came out of his mouth. It didn't help that his hands were now much too trembly to write legibly. Ford often resorted to knocking on loud things to grab Stan's attention until Fiddleford added a buzzer to his wheelchair (I thank @eeveelotions for that idea, I hadn't thought of it before). It was a mercy that Ford was able to pick up ASL with little issue. Otherwise he'd go insane trying to mime what he wants to say.
He didn't like being so dependent on someone else in the first months of being disabled, often going and doing things on his own that he should've asked for help with. Like getting that bowl in the fic (I debated whether or not to add this to the fic and ultimately decided not to, but Ford tried to take a bath on his own and freaked Stan out) Losing much of his independence was a big blow to his pride, feeling utterly ashamed when any simple task he'd done a million times before became incredibly difficult without the help of his brother. Thankfully he earned some of it back when Fiddleford made their house more accessible to him and made him a wheelchair that could handle rough terrain to a point.
Coping with all that was very hard. He often tried to remind himself that at least he had survived the injury and had a brother that cared enough to stay around to help after the accident. In the early days when they were still figuring out the portal junk, Ford absorbed himself in directing the destruction to distract himself from thinking too much on his condition. He also found a surprising amount of interest in Stan's little tourist trap and helped where he could. He also took up hobbies like birdwatching that ended up weirdlife watching more often than not from their porch or, when Mabel came around that summer, knitting. Basically he tried to keep himself busy in an attempt to forget how much he missed being able bodied. It took some time and a self reflection or two, but eventually Ford found peace with his disabled body. He realized he couldn't mope about it any more than he could walk and talk or he'd always be miserable. That realization reached its peak when he and Stan reconciled on the mountain. He kept his newfound love of his hobbies throughout the years though, picking up several at a time, because he actually liked them and not because of a want for distraction. He even learned to love himself after not feeling it for months.
By the time the summer with Dipper and Mabel came around, Ford had been disabled for many, many years. That's not to say he didn't have his struggles, but they were struggles he was certainly used to by then. Like days where he was in too much pain to get out of bed. It made his whole summer when he learned that the twins had taught themselves some sign language so they could understand him. The only thing holding him back was his own declining health. But he didn't let that stop him, often getting in on Dipper and Mabel's adventures when he was feeling up to it. He loved them so much. They gave him a reason to hold on just a little longer.
Anyway, I hope that was a sufficient answer to your question. Thanks for giving me this opportunity to talk about him!!

no you know what fiddlefords laptop password being stanford is funny for multiple reasons. like yeah okay its fruiticious behavior to have your buddys name as your password when you have like, you know, a wife and a kid that couldve been your password, however this also means that not once did dipper ever try putting ‘stanford’ into the laptop. dude sat there brainstorming 8 letter words for days and not once was he like “haha wouldn’t it be funny if the password was grunkle stan’s name”. as a former 12 year old im declaring that unrealistic
