DISCLAIMER: these are MY observations :)

🪩 cancer placements are not the crybaby's you think they are. rather than outright emotional, I think cancer placements are super intuitive -- they're in touch with their's and other's emotions and (often) know when to express them or identify them. powerful people, love you guys <3

🪩 aries placements can be so selfish :( it's a combination of the fire and cardinal energy --> super passionate but can also be too forthright with themselves and how they feel, often times coming off as dominant. really competitive as well, with everyone around them

🪩 scorpio men have a distinct "twinkle" in their eye (some call it crazy lol)

🪩 libras and leos both want attention but for different reasons. libras want attention for their relationships while leos want attention in order to have a relationship with them. leos are more upfront about their "me" attitude while libras hide their need for attention through being super social and having a lot of friends.

🪩 12th house placements shine brighter and are more powerful than 10th house placements. this is because 10th house placements are fundmanetally meant to be known for "themselves" -- could be for good or bad. while 12th house stelliums have the power to be known for the impact and influence they have on others, which I think is more powerful.

🪩 tw! : 4th house placements in synastry are not good for people who grew up in abusive homes. when someone's planets fall near your IC (midpoint in the 4th House, opposite the midheaven), it usually indicates familiarity and feeling like home to them or one another. for people who did not grow up in good homes or were abused, this familiarity could develop into a trauma bond! pls be careful.

🪩 fame degrees and placements are not fun -- it's karma. being famous is not always glitter and glamour. though it's still a fortunate position to be in, it's hard (and sometimes even life threatening) to be famous. it is a debt to the public to be (yes, seen and adored) but also scrutinized for who you are. definitely not for the weak.

🪩 geminis are what aquarius' wish they were. aquarius definitely has a complex for wanting to be different, unique, and special. I've definitely seen this play out into superiority complexes and even God complexes. geminis naturally stand out for their wit, charm, and intelligence with everyone that they meet. I feel like Geminis, though they get a bad rep, are the ones that really can talk to anyone.

🪩 saggitarius are the best fire sign. they are the only mutuable fire sign, while Leo is a fixed sign and Aries is cardinal. due to this, they still embody the positives of fire energy -- playfulness, fun, energetic, free-spirited -- but they are also most adaptable relative to the others. Leos and Aries (still) definitely on that selfish streak.

🪩 the real mean girls of the zodiac are sisters --> pisces and virgo. pisces and virgos both use their intuitive, serving nature for harm. they figure out what your weaknesses are by faking care, getting to know you deeply, and use that at a later time to trigger you! also can be hypercritical, emotionally ab*sive, and manipulative.

🪩 the "best" synastry should actually vary zodiac to zodiac, chart to chart. 7th house synastry isn't ideal for everyone --> for example, an aquarius might want more 11th house synastry with their partner due to their friendly nature. definitely have to consider the whole chart, but not everyone's needs or wants in a partnership coincide with the placements in one another's charts. I know couples with no traditional synastry placements that have lasted longer than couples with them!

🪩 taurus placements love being comfy / keeping their comfort items with them. maybe it's because they're Venus-ruled, but taurus placements love cozy sweaters, blankets, and have specific comfort foods. a taurus friend has a specific blanket for different activities! but of course, has great taste in these things and only wants the best. being cozy and attractive is essential for their well-being!

my astrology-related hot takes

i sure do have some takes. are they hot, tepid, icy? read on to find out, i'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions too <3

i love placidus house system. i know this one is hotly debated and i get it, but for myself, my own chart? i will die on the hill that placidus is the house system for me, and i feel so stiff and awkward when working with whole signs or equal houses in my own chart.

on a similar vein, not everyone agrees with interceptions/duplications (partially due to them not being a thing in some house systems), which, again, i get, but i find them to be fascinating and generally very accurate. trust a libra to be obsessed with chart imbalances, right?

i think it's possible to get lost in all the tiny, interesting pieces of astrology and overlook the basics. i do this myself, especially when i find a new and amazing rabbit hole to go down, but i believe the basics are generally going to be enough for most issues you're looking into, especially if you're looking from a self-reflection/development angle.

sometimes i feel lost as an astrologer in this community because there are many astrologers i follow that appear to have their niche figured out, and write within it so beautifully, while i haven't found my astrological 'calling' yet...

sometimes i'm wary of posts about asteroids because of how hard it can be to find good-quality literature on them. i'm worried i'll be reblogging something that someone just made up (and yes, i know it's all made up by someone, but i mean off the top of their head, without a good deal of knowledge and research behind it).

vedic astrology seems, to me at least, somewhat fatalistic and 'final' compared to western tropical. i'd love to learn more about it but it feels more formal and serious in a way; maybe that's just the articles i've read though..?

i love the astro community here on tumblr but it feels like more of a struggle to get that community feeling now than it did a few years ago. i don't exactly know what the issues are but it's a strange feeling.

i try to be a nice and positive person, but one thing that always ruins my mood is when i see posts or videos that say “(insert placement here) does this extremely toxic thing, like of course they do, they’re (insert placement here)!”. no, actually, being a gemini/eighth house moon/libra rising doesn’t excuse or guarantee awful behaviour. i thought we covered this years ago 🥲

Was going to add this to an observation post but fuck it we ball

I personally can't not stand the term "unevolved/toxic *insert a sign*". There's literally no one on this damn planet who never had/ doesn't currently have toxic traits. What one may define as toxic may not even be harmful for another individual. Toxicity only applies to self, it's not a one size fits all thing. No one was born knowing everything, nor will anyone die knowing everything. You are having human experiences and you will act on human behaviors and your socialization, simple as that.

For example:

"A toxic Scorpio may not be open to vulnerability".

A less judgemental way of phrasing that:

"Due to life circumstances (because that's what breeds toxicity in a being), Scorpios may struggle with vulnerability".

The second wording takes the blame off the individual and has a more humanizing approach. You are not your toxic traits, you are the changes you make to better (or worsen) yourself. It also acknowledges that it's a general thing less than an individualized one. To me it just makes people feel more seen and heard not judged and misunderstood.

While they both point out the same thing, it's not a matter of pointing something out it's a matter of explaining in a way that doesn't feel like an attack on a person's character.

Another thing with unevolved is what one might find to be "uplifting" for them, it may just not work out for others.

Both terms come from a place of judgement and bias, rather than understanding and acceptance.

I'm not saying you have accept everyone else's behaviors, it's just a tad hypocrital to say "xyz" is toxic because it's a trait you (no longer/don't) have. I can guarantee something you don't think is toxic is something that someone else thinks is. And yes, you have in fact harmed another person, willingly or not. That is why judgement based anything will not change behaviors and attitudes but rather inflame them. If you never learn something is bad for you, how can you understand when someone else says it is.

We all are doing the best we can with the tools we have, it's a matter of how one chooses to use the tools not if they use them.

Because being honest, everyone is toxic in their own way. It won't matter what the stars, a textbook or you say, we could all do better.

I truly think astrology and psychology should be used together for the betterment of individuals not to point out who does or has it worse. I'm glad I learned more about psychology before getting deep into astrology because if I didn't learn more about myself, yeah I would be thinking "damn I'm toxic according to this person's explanation".

Astrology is based on personal interpretation like most things in life. It's a social science meaning society has influence over the meaning not it has one and only one meaning. That's why we can all disagree and agree with things, it's our social and personal upbringing that impacts if something has certain meaning.

On a side note,

That might be why so many people like the story of Lilith, not because of the tale or message (however you interpret it) , but because they can see parts of them in her. I won't sit her and say I've never acted in a "fuck everyone else my problems are theirs now" way because I definitely have, I just learned that it doesn't align with my personal values and brought more problems than ever solved them. So at some point yes, I was what one would define as *toxic Scorpio (or Plutonian)*. I didn't change because others wanted me to, I changed because I was sick of having temporary solutions to long term problems.

I just know people would never say they see parts of Narcissus in them. It's only because of societal interpretation. We've all put ourselves before others before, and sometimes it had a negative consequence.

Lilith is seen as a hot bad ass. Narcissus is seen as a self centered prick. But if you look at the stories they ain't that different. And you not that different from them either.

Saggittarius suns, moons and mercurys don't have a social filter, they say what everybody is afraid to say blunt af. Jupiter the optimist makes them confident to say what they mean, feel or think (Sun,Moon,Mercury)

If you have venus in tense aspects with neptune you need to do a reality check of your relationships now and then, because sometimes you will put the people around you on a pedestal and other times you will dislike people because they don't fit into your picture perfect fantasy anymore. Just needs some work.(Neptune is like a siren that wants to sell you a fantasy that isn't there, and when you follow her whistles she gets you. Venus energy wants to receive, get loved and share love. So combining these two energies in a tense aspect like a square or opposition gets messy)

Saturn square north node + the south node are generational breakers. Their upbringing was hard and truly intense

Scorpio mercurys don't mind sounding too direct they will ask you anything if they want to know the answer. Oh I saw that you talked about me on a tuesday girls night with ... around midnight, why did you do this...¿😆

Capricorn suns please let us know how to help you. You go through traumatic sh*t, and after all that you stay humble and act like nothing happened

Jupiter aspecting neptune in a positive way love to create art (all forms of art), it makes them genuinely happy ^^ Neptune has to do with artsy stuff, singing, imagination jupiter expends this energy

Mars in leo want to achieve something (whatever it is) The ego is also ruled by leo, so leo placements feel worthy if they achieve something for themselfes

Pure devine love is something that pisces venuses and moons are capable of giving to human 🫘 But they will also text or call you multiple times if you don't answer (Especially Pisces suns with a pisces venus)

Taurus moon - (I am biased as a Taurus moon myself lol🫣)they may have a soft spot for comfort and stability, and typically the pinnacle of finance, care, and stability (although when mixed with sag it may be expressed quite unconventionally) Taurus moon natives are the least likely to make plans and change them due to "not feeling like it" if they are going to do it, they will. Taurus moons are always sharing their food OR they will never let you touch it - no in- between lol😭

Aquarius sun - Aquarius is very different, what I notice in common is the respect for difference. Often these signs are good with computers lol (maybe just because I have 3rd house aqua). The Aquarius man can be so caring or they can be cold, but they have a soft spot always -whether it is a quirky girl or a Quirky interest. These are often the people who want to be first to do something- the trendsetters... Although some can just be quite on top of trends-i have never seen an Aquarius who wasn't ahead of their pears in something whether fashion electronics or anything new.

Scorpio moon - one of my personal favorites💕, but I'm so biased lol(Scorpio stellium🤫) although these natives are known for having rough lives which is true, these peeps are totally down for a trauma dump sesh, or just a really good rant when you are their close friend. The female Scorpio moons are often friends with more females- might be gay even but too stubborn to act on it. There is always something interesting going on in their emotional world. Either the purest virgin or somewhere between that and a man eater... Scorpio moons do not play around, they are often no bs types whether mixed with air or fire -except for Libra placements sometimes if undeveloped.

Aries moons - omg 🤍 y'all are so passionate with your emotions, like if you are mad you can have a hard time hiding it, but yall are just made to be a ball of passion. There is nothing you do that you do not put your whole heart into, if you don't have your heart in it you won't do it. You can set boundaries a little too rough sometimes for us water signs, but it's okay because you are baddies and need that extra space for chasing passions. PLuS You are always loyal anyways so we don't mind. Aries moon has a really hard time holding a grudge against people, because y'all just want to live and let live. Amazing peoples! especially the girlies whom I have met. The lower vibrations can be super flirty and super flighty tho🫠

Pisces and Aries are actually a really great duo, despite what the horoscope things so often say - pisces and Aries are the most common duo i see i believe this is due to the fact that pisces is at the end of the zodiac and Aries is new to the cycle. Its like opposites but they are also alike which is perfect for a friendship.

Unlike me, a scorpio, since i don't often have libra best friends although libras fall into my 11th house - might be due to my lilith placement being in libra as well...😭

Virgo mercury can be so intentional with their words, and this mixed with virgo mars can make for a really sharp mind but also sharp words in an argument.

- That is part of what makes cancer (sun/moon) and virgo moon a good pair in a relationship, because cancer (sun/moon) is very emotionally intelligent and virgo moon is often good at compartmentalizing emotions and rationally dealing with emotions, and often times cancer (sun/moon) need to learn to balance emotions with reason

Moon quincunx to Mars or mars square moon aspects may cause anger issues in men, specifically cancer moon Sagittarius Mars or Aries Mars. As well as Aquarius moon with Virgo mars.

Pisces placements remind me of the most beautiful expression of emotions. The positive expression of pisces placements can be expressing deep and dark emotions through arts, music, love, and things that are beautiful expressions of feelings. Some pisces placements are old souls having to go through rough experiences in childhood, like experiencing many be lifetimes in one life, it reminds me of what I believe mMitski said best 'I was so young when I behaved 25'

April Mercury Rx in Aries!? Was I the only one or no? - there were so many fights and arguments...as well as exes coming back 🫣 like as a scorpio mercury rx it wasn't that crazy for me but my friends had their exes come back into their lives and there was even a small fight which is very mars..

Reminder that one interpretation of a placement you read doesn’t have to manifest in exactly that way in your life.

Not every Saturn in the 4th house will have an awful relationship with their family, but could be rather thrown in circumstances that make keeping in touch with or being physically close to the family hard.

Most Scorpio moons are not Sasuke Uchiha coded from the outside, even if it’s an easier to digest image/metaphor for a planet in fall (especially something as sensitive as the moon) for most people starting out in astrology.

Not every 12th house placement is meant to stay in the shadows for life and should follow a path of abstinence (they can ofc I they wanna), their life simply revolves around lot around mindfulness.

You know your life (and the complexity of your birth chart) best and can easily fact check if this is in alignment with your reality or desired reality. Don’t let your life be determined by one interpretation you’ve read somewhere, because it’s just one of many potentials one singled out (not even put in the whole picture of your birth chart) placement/aspect can manifest irl.

Astrology observations pt. 2

- If a woman has her Lilith aspecting her ascendant, she’s usually likely to attract men who are older than her as she is seen as innocent and in need to be taken care of (same usually applies to cancer rising women!)

- Sagittarius sun’s are good at pretending they care about what you’re saying or talking about but the whole time they wanna leave or are spaced out thinking about something else

- DONT try to argue with a Saturn dominant or ruled person (cap/aqua) you will regret it bc not only will they try and make you feel stupid for having a different opinion but they won’t stop talking until they feel they have successfully dragged you down completely

- I’ve noticed that people who have a water mercury + an air/earth mars usually try to communicate their emotions with the most sentimental and good intentions but it comes off as cocky, detached, and as if they’re trying to one-up and disrespect the other person

- Leo placements have such a welcoming energy to them. They know how hurtful it is to be excluded and ignored so they always make sure to make their friends and others a part of the conversation and talk to them

- I feel like people overlook how fake Taurus moons (mostly underdeveloped) can act. These people are jealous and possessive so if there’s anyone that makes them feel insecure or triggers those traits of theirs, they will form an inner or secret hatred towards them. Unless you’re super close to them as a friend or in general, it’s very likely for them to talk bad about others and act nice to their face

- A lot of Aries men I’ve met are usually car guys or they’re like really into cars and having them. A lot of them also tend to be very athletic and involved in sports

- Chiron in the 4th or 11th house (or in cancer & Aquarius) indicates someone who felt left out all their life and is they are different than others and don’t fit in. Chiron in 4th/cancer is more in a family sense where maybe they felt unwelcome or like the black sheep of the family where 11th/Aquarius is more in social groups and settings where they feel different and misunderstood by peers/acquaintances

Hot astrology takes part 1

Aries: you're not angry all the time, you're passionate and emotional and you need people around you who get that. You're tough as nails but also sweet as sugar, you care about others too much and it can kill you if they're toxic or don't give the same energy. No one is more ride or die than an Aries sometimes to your own detriment

Taurus: wanting stability in your life doesn't make you boring and y'all don't have the weird relationship with food every astrologer says you do, you just enjoy comfort and you're the most fun and chaotic earth sign, down for almost anything

Gemini: you're not two-faced, you just look at problems from different angles and you're open minded to changing your opinions because you have empathy and understand other points of view

Virgo: most of y'all aren't even organized you just want to know where all your stuff is. Also no one ever talks about how much you daydream and idealize the world. Virgos are more idealistic than Pisces and if you come off as cynical it's just a front because the world has failed you. You can't change the world alone though so reach out

Aquarius: you have so many feelings you don't know what to do with them so you either give too much or not enough. More guarded than Scorpios but more misunderstood than Geminis. You have a hundred special interests and you just need someone to interpret you in the right way. Y'all use humor to cope and everyone thinks you're the fun one but there's a lot of insecurity and worry bubbling beneath your wacky persona. Hot Astro Takes: Synastry

***These are just my opinions that I've developed through research and personal experience. If you don't agree, that is totally okay*** I think learning about your own chart is important and looking at someone elses chart could be quite beneficial as well to help understand each other better. But when it comes to Synastry, I personally don't think it's something to get too invested in. I've had people read Synastry charts between me and others and have it be sorta correct to incredibly wrong. I have also seen it with other synastry readings as well. Obviously some certain things could be accurate, but in a way its just confirmation bias that a person may have been looking for to answer a particular question. Should I be with that person? Why is my relationship so hard with my sibling/parent? And so on. Of course people want answers to these questions. We all want solutions right? The common problem I've seen with Synastry is that they focus on the placements between two people, but seemingly don't consider the individual peoples charts and how their own unique charts explain their Character blueprint. Like having negative synastry aspects because of someones placement could be entirely incorrect because a persons entire chart could simmer out certain energies/behaviours in that particular placement that just so happens to be negative in the synastry reading. I don't think you'll be necessarily famous by just havingy the degrees 5°, 17°, 29° and 28° in your chart.

It may indicates that you just like to express yourself a lot (leo is also related to identity) and probably like children. Even if you don't like children, you have an attitude of one.

After all, it does not mean fame as fame per chance, but attention on its own. You have the ability to be friendly, attractive and talented, which makes you more known whenever you go. Which is the most probable situation for you.

I advise you to not look for just fame and worry about you got already, because it's a double edge sword. The obsession won't help if you don't put work on whatever you want.
