I'll be clear bcs I've seen many ppl say that hyunjin is the bad guy.

NO HE ISNT.

the theory: ok, so lino is the one that has the power over the multiverse (probably will be seen having power in megaverse mv), however he has been helping chan since day 1.

chan is the #1 villain because of the way he always has smth to say/ to do about skz. he is the one that finds the "exit", but gets the wrong jeongin EVEN THO JEONGIN WARNED HIM ITS NOT HIM.

chan OR minho can control people. that way, one of them can always make it seem that the bad guy isn't them.

jeongin knows everything since he was left in the first multiverse, as well as the fact that chan ignored his call when he warned him that the jeongin he was going to take back home was not him. he is also often seen as the only one who is well aware that Chan isn't the nice, sweet guy.

and they also know that jeongin knows everything, so they try to make him stfu (seen in the sclass mv, when it's only him, chan and minho)

now, we know that felix n lee know have a special connection. what if they r brothers, but felix is the good one? (+both of them r often seen as the CAT of the group, w diff personalities. the cat is represented often in jyp ent's mvs. as the one who controls/makes the multiverse be connected)

here, in the 10 min movie, we can see hyunjin being annoyed when seeing lee know - which can possibly mean he tried to kill him and now that he knows he is alive, he will try to kill him again. -

also, jeongin now is possibly hyunjin's bf/love interest, which means he probably told hyunjin all abt chan and minho, which led to hyunjin being annoyed on lee knowand kill/have a desire to kill lee know

the only thing that I still don't see is han, changbin and seungmin's position in this story+the connection between hyunjin and felix (which could also be smth abt the teaser of noeasy, if im not mistaken)

the hyunlix connection might be from that teaser because hyunjin may have been under chan/minho's control, which led him to killing the good person from the plot. after hyunjin got his own control back, he finally realized what he's done and that felix is the good person

+we can see that changbin and han are playing with a purple flame BUT the flame was at first orange when it was in changbin's hands.

also, we can see that felix and minho are the (only??) ones who can play w the blue flame in thunderous, this can also mean that felix and lee know are 100% connected (BROTHERS!!)

• the show garnered all of attention locally and globally, making the pair getting shipped together more often

• several matchz photoshoots happened to promote the show, including attending some variety shows together as a pair

MARCH

• seol blowing a party for sakura and moas have a field day when seol posted an ig story being in sakura's bday party, showing off her tattoos

• fans trended yunjin and seol in several various social media platforms due to a photoshopped photo of them together (the original was a photo of oddz with sakura and eunchae between the pair)

APRIL

• bighit started to tease moas about a potential seol solo album with a teaser photo of a burning car

• bighit surprised everyone by posting gbgb photo teasers of seol, including the group photo teasers she was edited out of for surprise purposes

Top 3 awkward Twice haircuts?

1. the first one that comes to mind is chaeyoung’s mushroom hair in knock knock era. it was cute!!!! it’s just that her previous short haircut was so much better

2. this is not a haircut but a color.. that really yellow blonde that chaeyoung often has, like in the scientist MV and teasers, and she had it for most of the tour.

3. also not really a haircut but more a style. in ICSM era. many members would often have suuuuuuper flat hair which just wasn’t my cup of tea

honorable mention to all the times their hair extensions did not blend into their hair in the slightest… which is often 😔 and i know many ppl didn’t like some of jeongyeon’s earlier cuts including jeongyeon herself but i love them lol

thankfully they seem to have a lot of input now about their hair, so we don’t see too many bad cuts!! just questionable choices from the stylists lol

Taemin - Guilty

Gosh, have you guys watched the mv? the song?? taemin proves himself once again that he is on his own level.

Bear with me as im trying hard to understand and explained the storyline of the mv in the best of my abilities. Here is my take on it. Please note that English is not my everyday communication so i apologize for any mistakes in grammar etc.

This analysis will include the mv and also the mv teasers. It will be great if we could get the director cut version for this.

The mv took place in a facility that conducted some kind of medical experiment/human trials to the kids/younger teens. Why i said that is because in the Countdown live the set is decorated with medical/lab tools.

Ok now let's start.

First scribbles - the stick mans, house, tree. This usually done by kids. Second scribbles on the wall shows what people usually mark to count the days. This explained that Taemin has been there for quite some times.

My theory is that this younger person is Taemin himself. In the MV (time stamp : 0:34) Taemin vividly remembered/seeing himself when he was younger, naively dancing happily around with his 'friends' although they are 'trapped' in this facility. We can see the same scene but longer in MV Teaser 1 where younger Taemin collapsed, which later we know that he has an asthma/difficulty in breathing as he keeps using an inhaler.

We see that younger Taemin is with other person in a room alone (MV timestamp : 0:20) This might be his 'lover'. But the lover however able to get out from the facilities due what so ever reason (MV trailer timestamp 1:00). Taemin was then can be seen to keep staring at the hole longing to get out too.

We then come to the 'now' Taemin (in white singlet from MV trailer) playing around with his friends in the water streams but he keeps need to use the inhaler when he got excited or anxious. All of them were then locked in a room and get examined by the authorities there. They were brought to a small field where Taemin was handed a gun and he started pointed to someone/something. He was then was seen bleeding in the MV which i think triggered the 'zombie virus'.

The chaotic situation started when they were all back to their rooms, they were killing the authorities and behaving/moving like a zombie but Taemin however was not affected by it. It might be because he was asthmatic thus preventing him from getting contracted?

As the only one who not affected by the virus he was worshipped by the other like a god or 'Abraxas' as what the MV director updated in his IG. But later on although he is treated as a god we can see that he was alone, lonely, angry and sad? He was the only one who survived the outbreak.

He went back to the abandoned and torn down facility, reminiscing his old room with the scattered shirts, he walked along the hallway and opened an empty room. The room where he was once with his 'lover'. He ran towards the front gate only to be stopped by the haunted hands but he was actually alone there fighting his own self.

He managed to finally run away from that place the zombie outbreak happened to the outside world too. He was getting up from a car hood that has a 'sunflower' drawing on it. Sunflower symbolism here can be interpreted as loyalty and devotion. It can also represent a steadfast commitment and promise to always be there for the person we care about. In the MV trailer as Taemin walked in the empty street someone suddenly grabbed him which probably his 'lover' that has been waiting for him. It also has been an eye lurking to the keyhole that i think was his lover that has been looking out for him all these while.

Also the main picture used on all the music platforms for this song is the one Taemin was biting a 'pear'. Pear can signify a time loss, difficulty or separation which all of that shows in the mv.

For the lyric of the song it was pretty straight forward. Taemin in Lee Mujin show said that the song is about bad love. He quoted

"With the wrong love the bad person saying this to his partner, "This is love"."

sure! i just wanna say that a lot of things are not set in stone for now and there is a possibility that i will change some of them (for example, i wanted to post the beta designs, but now i'm looking at them and.. yeah, i don't think they show the characters' personalities that well hsdksks i'm going to change them).

but for now, here's what the next linagram is going to have for sure:

it will have ten prisoners (five male and five female), just like this one and the canon one.

most pairs' themes have already been decided, i'm just trying to come up with better titles/descriptions for them. i can definitely say that one of the pairs will have a "praise" theme. at first i was going to give one of the pairs something like a "smothering" (?) theme, basically, something similar to mahiru's crime: they ended up loving someone a little too much for that person to handle. but now that i'm looking at their crimes and their relationships with those people, i think "worship" sounds like a better theme for them?.. IT'S GOING TO BE DIFFERENT FROM AKIO AND ARATA'S CASE I PROMISE.

i've mentioned this before, but i feel like these prisoners' crimes are more.. like, they don't come from anger and some of them aren't exactly violent, a lot of those crimes are actually accidental/indirect in some way (however, it doesn't excuse those prisoners' behavior, because in a lot of those cases, it's like.. basically, even if it was an accident, it would've happened anyway sooner or later), and those accidental murders feel so different to me, for example, one of them actually makes me feel sorry for the murderer, meanwhile the other one is like.. yeah, that prisoner made some really bad decisions, haha.

i think the best way to describe these prisoners' crimes right now is "they thought they were doing a good thing" or "they thought they were doing the right thing". whether it's them doing something really horrible only for their own sake or whether it's them trying to "save" someone in a very cruel and twisted way, most of those prisoners genuinely think they were right and that their crimes were "the only way out". most current linagram prisoners think the same way, but like.. a lot of them are proud of what they did. eiko thinks her victim 100% deserved to die, riku also thought that his victim should die, naomi can say stuff like "i should be punished" but she still hates her victim and she's one of those prisoners who would kill again if given the opportunity. these guys, however.. they're kind of delusional when it comes to their murders, to be honest. like they'd just stare at the guard and go "huh? i did something bad? what are you talking about? :D"

this is just a fun detail (to me, at least) but i think it's interesting how in current linagram, most male prisoners are minors and almost all female prisoners are adults (aimi is the only teenager), meanwhile in the second one all male prisoners are adults (though one of them has.. kind of a vague age) and the youngest one is 18 years old. there are still only two female prisoners who are minors (one of them is 16 years old and the other one is 15), but still, i just find it fun to compare them.

i have a feeling that the first prisoner will follow in akio's footsteps and also get voted guilty in season 1 dhjdkskldl. that prisoner and akio have some similarities too, though that prisoner feels a lot more guilty to me.

TWO OF THE FEMALE PRISONERS ARE GOING TO BE SO CHAOTIC.

i actually have some mvs' concepts ready, and, like.. i have a feeling that if those were actual videos and people watched one of them with no context at all, that prisoner would get the worst guilty ratio ever 😭 it's. kinda weird to say the least, i'll probably change it or maybe i should keep it to show that character's "less likeable" side

My Top 15 Kpop Songs of the Year

1. Love Dive- Ive- Like give IVE their tens this was song of the year, mayhaps even song of the decade (getting ahead of myself). The vibes were immaculate and the song is outstanding I even like the dance break which can break a good song if done poorly. 

2. Hype Boy- New Jeans: Like this is really also the song of the year for me, Love Dive triumphs but probably only because it came out earlier. Like this song is immaculate and attention is pretty good too it would be in the 16-20 range of my fave songs of the year.

3. Catch the Star- Woo!ah- They really outdid themselves like this was a masterpiece and such a great way to start the year. I really didn’t think it could be beat for a while and at one point it was higher than Love Dive but its not as replayable as Love Dive. Still a bop tho!

4. DM- Fromis_9- Again the girls were taking no prisoners' at the beginning of the year jan-feb was insane like this is probably my fave fromis_9 song after love bomb of course.

5. Talk that Talk- Twice- Of course the queens had to be here and for their only comeback of the year. Truly I couldn’t have wished for anything more (except a more coherent MV), like the song is good and repayable. They never disappoint and this comeback as well as celebrate was made just so much better by all the members continuing on and re-signing their contract!

6. Smiley- Choi Yena- Another early bop, like it’s so catchy it’s still in my head! Truly a great debut but that’s to be expected from the izone girlies. The only critique is Bibi was so not needed, like it wasn’t bad but Yena defs could cover that part herself and I’m not crazy about a feature being on a debut. And we must thank Yena for holding down yuehua entertainment until everglow come back.

7. Love in Bloom- ILY:1- They are bringing back christian kpop and I have to thank them for it! This song is so refreshing and unique and a bop. The MV and styling were cute and I replayed it so much it just had to make the list. A very solid nugu debut.

8. Run- H1-key- This was the song of the summer for me. It just screams a fun summer like I was a little unsure of the group what with their former members alleged political connections and their debut song but this was spectacular. 

9. Antifragile- Lesserafim- This is probably my most replayed song of the year which is crazy because it literally came out a few months ago lol. Like this is such a good song to workout to they really served. I was worried what they would do post garam kick out and with the success of new jeans it was looking a bit grim for them but they came back swinging. Also their performances are so good and Yunjin I find genuinely funny which is rare in an idol, like they’ve been added to my faves list.

10. Rollarcoaster- Woo!ah- Yep Woo!ah made the list twice and if we extended the list to 20 entries they would make it thrice. Woo!ah had a great year with a comeback at the beginning middle and end of the year all of which were really strong but starting with Catch the Stars and ending with Rollarcoaster is insane like their producer is a genius. I envision this will climb the rankings but since it came later it’s at number 10.

11. Flip That- Loona- I started writing this before the Chuu situation and the potential exodus of the Loona members and man am I bummed out now. The song is good and everything I wanted after the girl crush mess I’ve been force fed for the past two years. Like just a nice chill song for the summer, not their best but super refreshing. (BUT, everyone needs to boycott bbc and not listen on streaming sites and don’t watch their new comeback or interact with the teasers.)

12. After Like- Ive- They also made the list twice this song was a bit boring to me at first but on a second listen its an earworm. Whoever is producing these Ive tracks starship needs to pay them more cause they are excellent.

13. Loveticon- CSR- Giving Christian Kpop Horsegirl vibes as my one anon put it and we need to bring the genre back so I’m glad they’re helping. Ever since gfriend pivoted to whatever apple was the genre has been left behind and its revival and CSR and ILY:1 can do it! Weird group names tho.

14. Higher- Fifty Fifty- this group has a decent concept and I really like that they sing a majority of the chorus and songs together as opposed to in segments like it makes them unique in kpop. A nice chill jam with good vocals what more could anyone else want.

15. Pop- Bugaboo- I liked the song it was fun but this is mainly here because my girls have disbanded and its only right that they make the list for the two years they were active during.

tae's solo has been everything i wanted and more so far!!! i can't wait to see the rest of his album.

but a lot of the negativity is throwing me off and i feel like people sound so defeated way too early when his debut has just started. like is he not doing extremely well objectively? i do think when it comes to kcharts they could be better but i've also heard people say the kcharts heavily rely on gp, not fandom. so i'm not surprised with the charting since the songs were announced less than a week ago and have received practically no promo. but the songs have been steadily rising! a lot of people have also been upset about the youtube views, but i think lma did pretty well and rainy days was about on par with the other member's solo releases so i don't think it's super disappointing. and it's no secret that less "flashy" mvs get less views and considering the mvs are both more slow paced i think this is still good!! and let's not forget he was able to get #1 on itunes in all major music markets and dozens of other countries, and the songs were often blocking each other. and now for spotify he pulled almost 4 mil each. and these are bsides!!

and maybe i'm not as disappointed because i knew they were bsides and so i was ready for most people to treat them like bsides. im hoping there'll be more momentum for slow dancing since it's the title track, and by then hopefully there'll be more promo as well.

like i get why people are disappointed but when you consider the context, i think tae has done really well so far. and i think this negativity isn't good for anyone. now if we see similar energy towards slow dancing then i'll be angry but i think we just need to wait and see how things play out. it can only get better from here and im so excited for taehyung!!

i completely agree! the negativity won’t help anyone and in general terms WE DID WELL because we got like 14 hours for love me again mv and 48 hours for TWO bsides, and we know the fandom is kinda bad at multitasking so it’s not that shocking, also two bsides that got no teasers or anything so.

To be honest, i am disappointed in kcharts but at the same time not really because karmys really never stream, we hold them on such a high pedestal but they’ve been slacking off so much recently (past year) and it’s concerning, like at what point will they realize that we can’t be the only one streaming and that they should do their part? like BUGS is such an easy chart, but the numbers were disappointing there too.

spotify usa streams also disappointed me… 300k is a bit low and i understand the timezone, being busy and whatsover, but still. spotify global streams have been good in the end, i mean layover alr at 10M streams and it’s prior release too. i’m gonna hope we get some teasers and some hype for slow dancing, major playlisting and some good promotion so that we can aim to big numbers and maybe give taehyung a high debut on hot100 because thats what he truly deserves but we need to motivate eo and not bring eo down bc that just won’t help. so yeah stream and have fun! :)

so, so I've been trying to gather the courage to tell you the truth 😶 I hardly know anything about Twice and Red Velvet. I do recognize the members' names only because of Tumblr...I'm pretty sure I can name all the members of Red Velvet. I kinda only follow certain kpop blogs for the photography, and Red Velvet's aesthetic is always on point. I think I've listened to at least 1 song by both groups. By appearance alone, my favorite is Seulgi (something about the way she looks at the camera), but I also think Yeri is really pretty. I cannot name a single song by either group. I sometimes listen to Blackpink (I'm a casual Rose and Jisoo fan).

Anyway, that's what I wanted to confess to you 😳 Feel free to recommend a Twice and/or Red Velvet song that you think I must listen to.

Well, I'm not also deep into Red Velvet's nor Twice's discography but I knew almost all of their Popular Songs (which is redundant but hey, they're still fun to sing and dance to).

Now that you mentioned Seulgi's Appearance, I recommend you to listen to her solo album (although I haven't yet, I'm pretty sure it's good!) but first, check out the lead or title track of that album, "28 reasons" , check its mv, I think somehow, you'll love it (even the teaser..)

But if you really want to hear first the whole group's discography, check out Red Velvet's Russian Roulette (the mv too), Psycho (with it's pretty and aesthetic music video elements that I think will suit you taste, perhaps), or Bad Boy (I think it's also beautiful in its own way). Or if you want you can also watch Red Velvet's Peek-a-boo with it's kind of dark concept in its music video.

Oh my, Can't believe I also forgot, Feel My Rhythm (with it's aesthetically pleasing vocals and music video!!)

After collaborating twice with SUGA, IU choose V to star with her in the MV for her song “Love wins all”.

More details about the concept were shared in an interview with the MV director (Eng translation, original article). V’s character is partially blind, IU’s character can’t talk, the camcorder shows the filter of love, and the square symbolises discrimination.

IU’s custom wedding dress was designed in the Korean haute couture house Dénicheur (Instagram post), props were provided by The Prop (Instagram post), and they filmed at Freya, an abandoned beach resort in Yangyang (rental website, with pictures).

Favourite K-Pop Releases of October 2022

1. Mamamoo: ILLELLA

Title: The queens are back! And they brought us a bop! This song is just so incredibly catchy, the hook was stuck in my head just from the teasers. Usually repetitiveness is the worst feature a song could have to me, but here the melody just so catchy it still works for me, and there's more than enough going on to keep me from getting bored. The vocals and rap are perfect as always, and of course Mamamoo sells the hell out of this song during performances.

Album: Now, do I think that calling three songs a "minialbum" is ridiculous? Absolutely. However, I do see why they kept to these three songs, they just work so well with each other. I'm actually having a hard time to choose my favourite, it's always the one I heard last. Still, more songs of this type in an album would have been too much, but adding other songs with different sounds could have made for a really weird listening experience. They should have called it a single album, though.

2. Kingdom: Long Live The King

Title: I've always been interested in Kingdom because of their concept, but this release is what fully pushed me into becoming a fan. This song is just so exciting! I love the electro-retro vibe at the beginning of the song (would have loved for that to feature more) as well as the dramatic-orchestral chorus. The up-beat section in the final chorus is my favourite part, it's so fun! The MV aesthetic and styling is amazing, I love how hard they committed to it.

Album: I don't really have a lot to say about the album, though I did save all the songs. The standout track to me is Poison.

3. (G)I-DLE: Nxde

Title: I'll admit it, when I first heard this I wasn't sure whether or not I liked this song, but it definitely grew on me a lot. I love the cabaret vibes and the sample in the chorus is incorporated so well. I really like Yuqi's deep voice here. And then there's the MV and concept, which is just amazing. I love the message, and in general I'm always happy to see groups with feminist concepts that go beyond looking badass.

Album: All the songs fit together nicely, the ones that stood out to me are Sculpture and Dark (X-File).

its catchy af and the message is so REAL! ngl at first i thought they made that word up for the song but i looked it up and its french for "home" so 😭😭 extra points for making me think they came up with that word themselves

9. illusion - aespa

its cunty! catchy! i definitely got it on the first listen! (points off for the yummy yummy yummy in your tummy tummy tummy line tho)

8. bop bop! - viviz

if u hate this song you hate fun tbh! the thing i loved about this song is that it felt less like a debut song and more like a comeback song. we love you viviz.

7. good boy gone bad - txt

i had to pretend like i didnt get it on the 1st-and-a-half listen bcuz i was still very much in my txt anti era. but now im normal so i can appreciate what this song means to me ❤

6. jikjin - treasure

why were so many people pretending like they didnt fuck heavy with this song. perhaps broaden your mindset like. [korean korean] jikjiiiiiiinnnn woooooooooooooo. anw it feels like pop rocks to my brain and in the best way possible so its here.

i like thot music! the way ppl complained about it was so 😭😭 its an nct song what were you expecting. shut up. you either rock with it or you dont. like the song was made BY baddies FOR baddies. so if it isnt hitting...

ms. im nayeon put the POP in kPOP with tjis song! and it was her SOLO DEBUT? PLEASEEEEEEE........ i love the girly cutesy bubblegum-y fun of this one. so. so. so. much. like everything about it SO iconic. she not only solidified herself as a capable soloist but as a pop princess too!

are you surprised? im an exol after all! but fr this song had me GAGGED since the mv TEASER dropped! everything about it is so good, the beat, the lyrics, the vocals... everything! when it comes down to the mv minseok had $10 and a dream but he still made it work. that song was MADE to be a hit!! when i heard it i knew NOTHING ELSE released this year was gonna top it!

group name: NOL!NES (read as the two words 'no lines' and refers to how your group arent boxed in by lines and you have the freedom, ability, and creativity to do whatever you want -- your group is 100% fully member-created (with a little help ofc!). besides scheduling/major filming/money stuff, your group does everything: writing songs, lyrics, choreographs, film editing, social media posting/marketing, creating teasers/gfx, etc. you have 15 members, which is why you're able to do so much -- and also why as a running joke, your group name NOL!NES refers to the amount each member gets (NO LINES) bc of the amount of members lmfao

concept: this is an interesting one bc im not rly sure how it could correlate as an actual concept, but ill try my best. the idea that comes to mind is 'maturing for the better'. its about growing up and leaving behind old hate and being oppositional (for example, remember hating the color pink bc it was too girly? oops now we've grown up and love the color pink <3 or rmbr when we did the opposite of everything our parents said bc we were that age? yeah well now we know how hard they worked) its about becoming the best person you can be. this is reflected in the lyrics of each song but also in the mv, and each comeback is a new lesson (for ex. the parent one is probably the first comeback)

debut song: ooooooo very bright and colorful! the lyrics ofc reflect the concept, but its also full of funk and bright happy singing. theres not much rap, and if it is, its kind of like a back-and-forth teasing rap between 2 rappers (see: pentagon's round 1 or 2). the music video is all about the idea of 'not being like other [girls]' where over the course of the mv, all of your members realize each other arent so bad -- and you become friends. a group of 15. a family!!!!!! A FOUND FAMILY

fun fact: FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS!!! yes i saw that post but also bc this is smth your group would do! like svt, every year renew it -- but instead of changing the ring/jewelry, you add a charm to reflect the past year onto your bracelet. you get your first charm at debut and literally all of you cry LOL not surprising! over the years, you add charms and the weight of being an idol gets heavier, both literally and metaphorically, but it feels more meaningful somehow
