Hi! I’m back from this weird hiatus and I wanted to thank again all the nice comments and advices! Some of them I read after redesigning the dragon (thanks @synapsid-taxonomy and @doodlepede) and to which I promise that I’ll do another update since this is a personal exercise and I want this to be a continuos work in project.

I hope you guys enjoy this new design and especially thanks to @toot-bender and @bobthedragon2 I defined a more compact body shape (and I tried to give him a more built neck) and more wing membrane, and a more proper tail rudder. I went for a digitigrade look for the aesthetic, but I’ll definitely try also a plantigrade version! I added ears thanks to @thesumlax ‘s advices, but I was told that I should lower them, and honestly looking at actual synapsid skulls I think I’ll definitely too. Added some colours for communication display on the wings and got inspired by butterflies to be fair.

Hope that you can tell from the drawing that the eggshell is soft, so the “milk” from the mom is very similar to platypus milk (keeping the eggs hydrated and feed the babes).

The second pic is a dragon more evolved for gliding (took inspo from the majestic Quetzacoatl). I think that he’d be a pain in the ass of fantasy farmers, finding herds and gliding over them to steal a woolly rhino baby or two. (the new marine dragon version is still under construction!)

Silver's Powers not being unique to him kinda makes sense because Silver doesn't think of himself as special and is canonically considered a loser at this point.

I personally would say it's mostly the IDW comics that wildly oscillate between the amount of respect they give Silver. They give me the feeling that they simply just can't make up their mind on who or what they want Silver to be, which I would say is because the end goal of the plot is entirely driving the bus here, not the characters and their actions. So that means in the comics, Silver is either a bumbling idiot who needs to be hand-held by the more powerful smarter OCs while nearly getting wiped out by one random Egg Pawn in a flashback, or someone hella OP and serious whose powers while Super can clear an entire planet of a virus that changes its victims on a molecular level. And I think Silver has absolutely amazing moments in IDW! I love the issue where he and Sonic take the six Chaos Emeralds and make a mad dash for Zavok to get the seventh one, where Silver is a crucial component and shown off as his powerful self. And also during his fight with Zor he's no-nonsense, clear about what he stands for, and even shown as unforgiving to an extent. That is definitely why I find it so unfortunate that these moments are counteracted by Silver either being innocent uwu bapy boi, or just being written as incompetent because that's what the plot needs him to be to get to what it wants to achieve.

But that is just the comics. Forces painted Silver a lot more respectably in my opinion (e.g. shown as being capable of making a stand against Infinite, who's been callously murdering people in the streets beforehand with nothing they could do to fight back having the slightest effect), and TSR did too if you ignore the trash talk scene (e.g. Silver being the first to learn of Eggman and Dodon Pa's plans, and keeping an eye on things with help from his friends). Furthermore, the Sonic Channel stories and information about Silver give a much more respectable view of the character, that leans far more towards his positive sides: his straightforwardness, kindness, desire for justice, willingness for peace, reliability, the fact people feel endeared to him, etc etc. Simultaneously, they are not afraid to mention that Silver can take things too far, and can be put on the wrong track at times. Generally, those stories thus paint him as someone serious and incredibly strong (e.g. able to stop the Eclipse Canon beam with a shield of PK) while still being naive and having slight tunnel vision (e.g. not understanding why he was not taken seriously when he told the Soleannan officials about the bridge collapsing, which he knew because he came from the future). It's... better than what the comic is giving us, in my personal opinion; it's at least more enjoyable if you like Silver's personality from the actual games. So I do not at all agree with the idea he's "canonically a loser" currently. It just depends on what media you look into, and how that media treats the character in regards to what Silver's actual personality is like.

I've theorised in an earlier post before that Silver does not think of himself as anything remarkable because he takes *himself*#-as the baseline... which I feel can definitely come across as a bit conceited? Not deliberately but I do feel that the concept of-#-'oh everyone can do this' *casually lifts a skyscraper* does not necessarily come off as humble if you then assume that everybody else-#-possesses similar abilities #but that is just theorising from my side because we know nothing of what the people in Silver's future are like power-wise

What if like... Kai found bapy Lloyd as an egg while out trying to find food? Like in an empty nest? And after sniffing the egg Lloyd just hatches, and given that Kai's raising Nya at this point his big bro instincts are on and he just grabs Lloyd and takes him home?

he's like "welp, guess he's mine now, add him to the pile!" lol

he has to convince his mate (which im thinking dragon skylor) that they can care for just one more baby. He's so smole anyways they wont even notice the extra mouth to feed!

Of ataraxia who is the most overbearing/overprotective spouse when pups/guppies/mini-creatures/spawns are on the way. I feel like all of them would be EXTRA in all caps when it comes to pregnancy.

Also, are their distinct monster pregnancies different in length in which the mate carries to term (cause bruh when I found out other mammals don’t carry their babies for nine months in their stomach I felt the world crumbling cause I was just like 🫨🫨🫨🫨 like that didn’t even fathom in my mind that it was possible)

All of this comes to mind because of the idea of daddy dragon mingi… makes me feral

Mingi is at the top, absolutely (its more the dragon thing than anything else, those eggs are harder than diamonds you could try and run them over with a truck and it would probably destroy the truck before it did shit to them but those are HIS (and your-) BABIES-), then Yunho (he'd probably set you on fire and use you as a chew toy if you tried to bring harm on his little ones or his partner), Seonghwa (siren eggs are very much not indestructible. They're not like your average egg where they'll split if the wind blows wrong, its all over, but its still not something he'd even chance if his Guppies to be were in danger), San & Hongjoong being tied after him and Yeo, Woo, and Jongho being the least bothered by it.

Wooyoung can literally tear holes in reality, he'd be able to detect malicious intent long before whoever wanted to deal it was even in the same area code as him and his. It makes completely rending someone into nothing rather easy.

For Jongho and Yeo, Incubi/Succubi spirits and Fae spirits kind of...come into being in this verse as a manifestation of their "parent's" power. So there's really less of a worry of protecting a defenseless little one like the others because Jongho’s kids wouldn't even be kids, they're just. Ready to be off on their own, fully grown, and depending on the type of Fae they are, Yeosang’s little ones would be either the same branch or they'd be stubbornly independent anyway and actually more dangerous because of them having so much unchecked power and such a bite of mischievousness to them.

That being said, for the ones who DO have little bapis no matter what, they all do have different periods of growth/coming into being, with the longest being between Mingi’s Eggs and whatever cosmic shit I decide to come into being if i choose to have Eldrich Woo actually be some kind of dad while spawning a mini world ender into being.

Maybe not, idk if yall want the added anxiety of a child who can tear the world apart while throwing one(1) temper tantrum

Also yes dragon dad mingi is very much a feral fangs and claws bared sight to behold

So I Hatched a Aether Dragon in Flight Rising

I have a Flight Rising account and got the clanbound Aether Dragon eggs. So here are the bapys! (They are unfortunately yet to be named)

The first one I hatched. I really really like the pallete and element matchup!

The second one I hatched. I think the primary and secondary really complement each other. I think the plague eyes give a slight gremlin energy to me, I don't know why and I kinda like it.

I really love the new Aether breed so much.

Sorry for responding so late, little known fact (unless ur my friend); I have a HUGE pregnancy kink so every time I went to answer this ask I would get way too excited thinking about it and just forget to answer itㅎㅎ but yeah it’s definitely Callie. She’s a bit small too so she’d be stretched to her limit. And then the second she pops the egg out, Marie is going to want another baby right away.
