Since Pudding joining Buggy's crew was already discussed, and Uta joining it as well is a popular headcanon, I present to you: Uta and Pudding being mentally instable chaotic besties.
Imagine all of the possibilities. Them talking shit about Shanks and Sanji togheter (even tho Uta still semi respects Shanks and Pudding is madly in love with Sanji) or having girl nights togheter, doing eachother's makeup or dressing up in the most fashionable matching outfits. All while being completely unhinged and with homicidal tendencies.
YOU'RE SO REAL!!! This is so true. They'd get along so well. Uta actually joins the crew first! Then Pudding appears and she seems like a sweet girl only at first, but then she demands to stay and says she can be useful as she can read Poneglyphs. So what I said in one of my posts about them, she joins them and becomes their princess. Except that now she has a diva to share the place with! They're both so adored by everyone. They also get along so so so well! Uta keeps talking shit about Shanks leaving her and Pudding feels bad for her, explaining her experience with her mom and Uta going insanely angry and protective at that. She even makes a song inspired by Pudding's beauty!! They're besties!! They love each other so so much!! Pudding keeps saying she hates Sanji but Uta knows she likes him, of course, she always asks her to sing love songs for her, but she won't admit it. They do each other's hair right after having probably almost murdered a bunch of marines that were saying they were weak (don't mess with them. Really. Uta's power is fucked up). I think, to add a bit of angst, that Uta would ask Pudding to erase her memories of Shanks because they hurt too much even if she turns that into strength. They hurt. But Pudding refuses and says that memories can also be beautiful even if they hurt, and she tells her about what happened with Sanji and everything her mom made her do and that she wouldn't erase her memories because they're part of her. Thinking also about Perona coming to visit Mihawk and meeting these two and yelling to Mihawk like "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU HAD TWO CUTE GIRLS IN THE CREW?! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS?!" and she befriends them right away. Everybody is scared of them, not because they're protected by Cross Guild, but because they're actually creepy. Nobody approaches Pudding when she's angry and even less hurt her because she will manipulate you and she will break your heart. Nobody makes Uta remember her past or mentions something that could trigger her because that sends her into a breakdown and that's never good. And Perona is a bit scared of them, ngl, she's way calmer than them but she has fun seeing them torment people while she sits in a corner looking pretty and sending her ghosts to haunt the ones that bother them. They have such a strong bond! Alvida joins their girl nights quite a lot too <3
Buggy, Mihawk and Crocodile absolutely love them because they're tiny but menacing and scary. If somebody stronger than them tries to fight them, these three will probably end him in no time. But if somebody these three girls can manipulate and torture says something about them? The three men just stare at them and let them do their thing. It's like having a Barbie and two Monster High dolls rule the world.

I was digging in a box of my old monster high stuff to try and find clothes i can put my custom doll in until i get around to making her some myself, and i found this:
Tumblr media
One of the little diaries that comes with the dolls!
I brought it upstairs with the clothes i snatched and decided to read it, mainly out of guilt for never doing so when i was little.
I didnt expect to cry. i want to go and find all the ones i had and read them now. it feels silly to cry at something like this but i did! it honestly really reassured me about life and stuff. too much has been going on right now and what it said was just really good for me i guess.
I'm so glad these were given to kids. i wonder how many other people they brought comfort to. i wish i read them when i was younger, but i'm glad i read it now.

HOW TO ROMANTICIZE YOUR LIFE
⪩ 𔘓 ⪨
Today I'm going to give you some tips(activities)on how you can romanticize your 3d reality, and not only make your experience more enjoyable, but also manifest things better!
୨୧use vintage cameras୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know those old vhs high school vlogs that you can find on youtube or those high school vlogs from years ago?, see how much fun they have? Try to capture the moment with the sole reason to capture it! It will be fun to look back to them years to come!
୨୧Leave your mark on things୨୧
Now I don't want to promote illigal actions but if you want you can go in those grunge like Abandoned places like an old train or wall and sign it or do graffiti on it!
୨୧Go on a trip with your friends୨୧
It doesn't have to be too long, it can be just as short as going in the sea! Or drive with your bike through the hills of the city, it can just be a walk too!
୨୧Get a secret place/hideout୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is so movie like, if you notice everyone has a special place where to hangout, some times it's a studio, sometimes it's a tree house other times it can be the school library or just an abandoned place! If you want for example to make your life more like a movie, places like this will immediately make you affirm that "I the teenage dream life" or that "my life it's like a coming of age movie".
୨୧Make a burn book୨୧
Idea that came from the one and only mean girls! You don't really have to do it with your friends, just do it for yourself and unleash your rage, this is an amazing outlet for rage and other feelings that may distrupt you thought processing in your manifestation!
୨୧Watch childhood movies୨୧
Barbie movie, monster high movies, bratz movies etc ... If you have DVDs try to look between them, maybe you'll find some good oldie! You can even do a movie night just about hitting some nostalgia! Try to remember the feelings your felt while watching them, and use those positive feelings in your manifestations.
୨୧Photobooths and polaroids୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Similar to the digicam idea! This are such cute ideas if you want to decorate your room ~ over the years I saw how creative we can get with these, you can add some pics in your manifestation journal or write and affirmation under or behind them!
Tumblr media
Hi bonitas this is all for today, I know its been a while since I posted something, but life kept me very busy! I hope ill be more active from now on! hope I helped and entertained you xoxo gorgeous

What about Halloween costume party and you can’t tell who the guy in the Godzilla (or your choice of monster) costume is, but you flirt with him all night. He refuses to tell you his name because thinks he’s not your type for whatever reason. But when the reveal happens, you are very pleased, and maybe the two of you had history or knew each other in high school.
Or some type of variation that you vibe with 🫠
Tumblr media
BETTY!!!! You have no clue how much I love this! I wasn’t sure if I was gonna go with Godzilla BUT I googled inflatable Godzilla costumes and it all made sense. Thank you so much for the request!
Warnings: Reader is dressed up as Barbie (because Barbie is for everyone), just fluffy cuteness, shy!Eddie, bad writing, blah blah blah..
Wordcount: 1.2k
Those Eyes
Godzilla was checking you out from across the room.
You weren’t completely sure at first since he was in a giant suit and it was hard to make out what direction his face was going in with the snout but you had walked back and forth across this room a few times and he was definitely looking at you.
You had to admit it did take you a moment to figure out what the big scaly creature was supposed to be. The wearer of the costume was tall and was wearing a full body of gray scales. Even his hands and feet had been transformed into the giant lizard.
You were currently at your roommate's cousin's costume party. You typically weren’t one to go to things like these but there was a costume contest with a $100 cash prize that made up for you being dragged out here.
Plus you thought your Barbie costume was pretty cute.
You had decided to be the brave one in this weird standoff you were having with the scaly monster and crossed the room towards him.
“Hi,” you said with a sweet smile, looking up at the monster's face.
You could hear him choke on air and start to cough behind his mask, bending over with his fake claws on his knees to get a good breath.
You really weren’t sure what to do so you just let him cough it out until he got a good breath in.
“Hi,” he replied once he could breathe again. His voice was muffled through the mask but you could still hear him pretty well.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. You okay?”
You watched as the mask nodded quickly.
“You, uh, you didn’t scare me,” he mumbled.
“I didn’t? Darn, guess that means I’m not winning the costume contest.”
“I-I mean, you look great. Beautiful. Barbie was a good choice.”
“Thank you,” you said with a smile, bringing the plastic cup up to your lips. There was a glossy pink lip print on the rim from your lipstick.
You noticed him staring at you again but he quickly looked away when you caught him. You wished you could see his face. Even his eyeballs were obscured by the mask.
You thought it was the perfect opportunity then to tell him your name. You stuck out your hand, just for him to shake it with his plastic clawed hand.
“I know,” he mumbled.
“You know? Do I know you?” You asked. You didn’t know anyone here. At all. You hoped he wasn’t someone you had dated in college but he seemed too cool for that. You couldn’t think of any of your exes having this level of dedication to a costume.
“Kind of?” He hesitated.
“Well who are you?” You questioned.
“You’re gonna be disappointed,” he mumbled, you had to strain your ear to hear him over the loud music and chatter.
“Why would I be disappointed?”
You heard him sigh a deep sigh behind the mask.
“I’m not doing a good job. I was gonna walk up to you and say something to you that was cool or something but I…”
“You got shy?” You finished for him.
“Yep.”
“Okay we can try again. I’m gonna go back over there and let you have your moment to shine,” you pointed across the room, not giving him a chance to argue before you strolled to where you had been standing before.
He didn’t follow you at first and it made you wonder if you had been too pushy. He obviously knew you. What if he didn’t like you?
But your worries were for nothing when you watched him take one awkward step at a time, clearly having a hard time walking in the costume.
You covered your mouth to fight your giggle.
When he finally reached you he paused, grabbing onto the wall for support.
“That’s another reason I didn’t come over and say something to you sooner. I would have killed my chances the second I took the first step towards you,” he admitted with a chuckle.
You laughed. “I have to admit the mask kind of does it for me.”
He barked out a loud laugh.
“You gonna tell me who you are now?” You prompted, hoping he would make the big reveal.
He hummed for a moment before peeling the mask off his face. His hair stuck to his sweaty forehead and his cheeks were tinged pink.
“It was really hot in there,” he said as he fanned himself for a moment.
You took the moment he was cooling himself down to appreciate the fact that Eddie Munson was standing before you.
You had a massive crush on him in highschool. And when you say massive you meant doodling his name all over your notebooks when you zoned out in class and spending the whole month of prom hoping he would ask you just to be severely disappointed when he never did. In his defense, you did hear him say multiple times that anyone that did go to prom was dumb so you weren’t sure why you convinced yourself that you could ever change his mind.
You had sat next to each other in English during your senior year. He was charming, making you laugh and earning you dirty looks from the teacher. Your brief friendship never blossomed into anything else. You were devastated when you went off for college and left him behind.
But time moved on, you stopped thinking about your crush on Eddie, you met new boys, and had a few brief romances.
And now Eddie Munson was standing in front of you, making you feel feelings that you hadn’t felt for at least six years.
His wide brown eyes were on you. If only you had seen those eyes sooner. You would have recognized him right away, even through the mask.
You gave him a big smile. You weren’t as nervous as you were in highschool.
It was now or never.
“Hi, Eddie,” you cooed at him.
“Disappointed?” He asked nervously, chewing on his lip.
“Why would I be disappointed?”
“Because I’m me,” he said, gesturing to himself and his costume.
“When did you get so shy?”
“Excuse me?” He asked as he dropped his chin and raised his brow at you.
“The Eddie Munson I knew in highschool used to stand on tables and put whoopie cushions in Mrs. O'Donnell's chair even though she knew it was you every time,” you said with a pointed stare.
“I kinda blew my chance last time I saw you,” he admitted, going to play with his hair but getting the plastic claw stuck in it instead. He winced when he ripped it out and took some hair with it.
“We’re gonna circle back around to that little bit of information but I want you to know I am definitely not disappointed because I thought I blew my chance in highschool too. And if it helps any you’re really not blowing your chance right now.”
“Really?” He asked in disbelief.
“I told you that the mask really does it for me.”

The history of dolls and the rivalry between MGA and Mattel fascinates me so deeply!! The way they steal from each other. The way if one rises, the other falls. The way it’s been like this for decades now when Mattel used to be untouchable. So cool!!
Did you know that…It wasn’t MGA that did this but if I remember correctly, in the 80s, there was a toy company (probably Hasbro) planning to make Jem and the Hologram dolls. Mattel caught wind of it and in a very short amount of time pushed out Barbie and the Rockers, clearly ripping off Jem.
But because of how fast Mattel worked on this, Barbie and the Rockers made it to the shelves first. This completely sabotaged Jem and the Holograms. Mattel remained all powerful, not until decades later in the 2000s were they truly threatened again. This time, it was Bratz!!!!
I wish both MGA and Mattel could succeed at the same time. Before Monster High came back and before the Barbie movie, Mattel was not selling as many dolls. The designs were bland, and the clothes cheaply made. Rainbow High and OMG LOL (two MGA properties) had pretty much completely taken over the doll section.
But now that Mattel has revived Monster High and because of the Barbie movie, Mattel is thriving as Rainbow High and OMG LOL are now very obviously suffering budget cuts. Rainbow High might even die soon tbh with the way things are going, which is sad as they used to be so intricately designed and beautiful! I don’t collect them but I have appreciation for them.
Do any of you guys care about this stuff? If so, what’s a moment in doll history you find interesting?? I love this stuff!!!! :3

Kaiju Week in Review (December 3-9, 2023)
Tumblr media
I made a frame from this shot Wikizilla's Image of the Week. No regrets. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, I love ya. When I was a teenager, explicit queerness was anathema to most big-name franchises. Those dominoes have been slowly falling, often in lower-profile tie-ins first, and to me this is a huge one: 69 years without a queer live-action Godzilla character are over. And Cate's the main protagonist of the show! I'm not under the delusion that media representation will cure all society's ills, but it sure doesn't hurt. Now, the non-Tumblr parts of the fandom are being completely normal about this, right? Right? Whatever, that's why you'll never get rid of me here. Cate had a couple more sweet moments with May in this episode, and Mariko Tamaki wrote episode 7, so don't expect her to stop kissing girls. Hopefully she's learned a valuable lesson about cheating though.
"The Way Out" is also another gift to those of us who have always wanted to see more of the ramifications of a world where Godzilla exists, from underground towns for the super-rich to ruined cities where federal troops shoot looters and harass people experiencing homelessness. And the show continues to find ways to use kaiju to talk about COVID, from Cate and Kentaro's exchange about San Francisco truthers ("It's easier than waking up every day and thinking, at any moment, the same could happen to you") to the blink-of-an-eye speed at which the threat went from on the news to her front door in the flashbacks.
youtube
As I foretold, we got a Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire trailer, an amusing contrast to the weighty Toho flick and Apple show already fore of mind. It's Adam Wingard unbound, that's for sure. The human cast seems pared back, a longstanding Monsterverse problem, and the kaiju fights were far and away the best part of Godzilla vs. Kong, so hopefully this approach will play to his strengths. But that movie also had excellent VFX, and some of the shots in here are rough. There's time to fix them, at least... which probably can't be said of Godzilla's design. I like that he's pink (did some Warner Bros. executive take the wrong message away from Barbie?) and sporting a thagomizer on his tail, but his proportions are uncanny. And I see Kong found the Infinity Gauntlet; good for him.
Tumblr media
I am, of course, not done talking about Godzilla Minus One. It added over 200 screens and made $8.3 million in its second weekend in the U.S., a minuscule drop considering that its $11.4 million opening "weekend" spanned five days. Almost a third of all tickets sold this weekend were for Godzilla or Hayao Miyazaki's The Boy and the Heron, remarkable in a market so allergic to foreign imports. That brings its total to $25.3 million (more by the time you read this). With an avalanche of Christmas blockbusters on the way, its grip on premium-format screens is about to slip. Still, I see it hanging around theaters for a while. I have never seen the fandom so united in praise for a film before, and it's making plenty of new fans.
Some of those fans are in high places. Variety leaked that it's on the 20-film shortlist for Best Visual Effects at the Oscars (to be narrowed to five nominees), something I, again, never expected to read about a Toho Godzilla film. Alas, it's locked out of this year's Best International Film category due to the quirky nomination period.
Much has been made of how great the film looks on a $15 million budget. I have two caveats, one in each direction. No one is quite sure where the $15 million figure came from; Yamazaki said at a recent con appearance that he only wished he had that much to play with. (He has yet to divulge the actual budget, just that it was above ¥1 billion.) Now, unions in the Japanese film industry are much weaker than in Hollywood, so a given production budget goes a lot further in Japan. All the same, I doubt that alone explains Minus One looking better than most superhero movies made for twenty times the cost. I'll offer a couple more reasons: Yamazaki has extensive visual effects experience (he's been the VFX supervisor of all but one of the live-action films he's directed), and the film's big effects scenes aren't as busy or lengthy as many of the Hollywood counterparts. I don't know if Disney will ask Yamazaki to direct the next Star Wars movie (that would require there to be a next Star Wars movie), but the studios here should be taking notes.
Tumblr media
the sphinx, a blog with a ton of American Godzilla rarities to share, has outdone itself—behold a continuity and dialogue script for the U.S. version of King Kong vs. Godzilla! Included in the download is a detailed comparison with the film. No huge differences, apart from the script giving the secretary added to the U.S. version a name, but a fascinating piece of history all the same.
Tumblr media
The Minus One incarnation of Godzilla (MaiGoji?) has joined Godzilla Battle Line, accompanied by [SPOILER]. To be honest, my enthusiasm for this game has been flagging, and I'm not caught up on the strategies developing around these two, so I'll just refer you to Sir Melee's channel as usual. This Godzilla's also doing a collaboration with the Japanese mobile game Fleet of Blue Flame.
Tumblr media
Tiffany Grant, Asuka's original voice actress, will narrate the audiobooks for the Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA light novels which explore an Instrumentality-free path for the show. Seven Seas Entertainment published them in English from 2019 to 2021, which, to be honest, was also news to me.
Tumblr media
This one's for my fellow library workers: the obscenely popular Who HQ nonfiction series for children is publishing a book about Godzilla next June. I don't know if this will have quite the same impact on today's young Godzilla fans as the Ian Thorne tome had on Gen Xers and Millennials, what with the Internet and all, but it's certain to be more factual. Expect illustrations instead of licensed photos, and not just because of Toho.
Tumblr media
I can finally talk more about the Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers mobile game without fearing a DMCA. Not that there's much to talk about; it's freemium through and through and I'm not sure I know a single person who's excited for it. Interesting to see some critters from the comics break into another medium, at least. Here's the trailer.

I was browsing the American Girl doll website the other day looking at something to get my niece for her birthday and I saw one of the girl of the years for the 80’s and 90’s and I got a flashback to that one ask about the reality tv show that NB and Rockstar!eddie could have had, and eddie’s reaction to the 70’s historical one, could you imagine them going with their grandchildren or something and Eddie having a cow about the 80’s and 90’s and Nepobaby is just like, “let’s maybe just go to build-a-bear so grandpa doesn’t pop a blood vessel today”
omfg not the 80s and 90s ones. american girl doll is so lethal. wasn't there one about the challenger explosion?
i think rockstar!eddie and children's toys throughout the years would just make his head spin. definitely has a geezer "back in my day" moment. but also the evolution of toys? he really got to experience it first hand because the girls are so spread out.
a tamagotchi was the beginning because "it's not real, sephy, it can't die it's not alive. it's a game. a game."
furby scared the shit out of him and reminded him of the gremlins movie. "kensie cried for a week straight because she killed a lady bug but has this in her room?"
really didn't like polly pocket much either because they were always just thrown in the floor, and stepping on them??? those sharp ass arms and hands??? but it was less messy than an easy bake.
was a huge fan of a lite brite and zahra used to play with it all the time. he loved them but there was always a piece missing so he kept having to go get more.
sephy was a barbie fan, kensie liked polly pockets, the twins liked the barbies that were like fairytopia/ special kind of ones, zahra was not a big doll fan until american girl dolls (because they had cool stories and backgrounds and stuff), and vega was ofc a monster high doll fan.
by the time vega was born, toys were so digitalized but he did make the mistake of getting her zhu zhu pets (the robotic hamsters?) and she did in fact get it stuck in kensie's hair because sicily and sienna told her to.

Terzo becoming a dad of twin girls!! Pweaaase? 🥰
dad! terzo w/ twin daughters
(implications of female reader)
this was so fun to write! thank you, anon! 🥺i hope you enjoy and it didn’t disappoint! <3
Tumblr media
he absolutely cries when he finds out you two are having twins.
he’s so nervous. worried he won’t be a good father. these babies haven’t even been born yet and they’ve become his whole world.
you have to eat more during a twin pregnancy. this man FEEDS YOU.
i feel like he can cook. he’s always making you the best (italian) food, making sure you’re eating enough.
he does so much research he ends up knowing things YOU didn’t know.
he’s always nose deep into some parenting book or staying up in the late hours of the night reading articles.
soon he has mastered the art of carrying two babies at once.
he is such a funny dad. so funny. will do ANYTHING to make his girls laugh.
they love playing dress up!
except he’s the one being dressed up.💀
he makes an absolute show of it. he loves hearing his daughters laugh and he’ll do anything to make it happen.
“you know, you kind of rock a tutu.” you say, walking in during one of their makeovers.
to save time getting ready in the mornings, he learns how to do their hair, and before you know it, he’s a BEAST at it and can braid hair in a matter of seconds.
god forbid they get a hold of his face paint.
he leaves them alone for ONE moment. ONE minute. he comes back. they are both covered in black and white paint.
“ay, nononononono, not before school!!”
the girls want to be ghoulettes for halloween. every year.
“girls, what about something else? we can get you any costume you want. anything in the world.”
“ghoulettes.” they’d say in unison.
he spoils them rotten, buys them endless toys, matching stuffed animals, dolls… but in the process, falls in love with a specific brand:
i don’t even know how i came up with this, but i feel like terzo would love monster high dolls.
he’s in the store… mindlessly walking through the toy aisle. vet barbie, pilot barbie, pool party barbie, doctor barbie...
when all of a sudden, he lays eyes on something new. something exciting.
a “monster high” doll.
now that’s cool.
probably keeps two in his office, each of his girls’ favorite characters.
i lowkey feel like he enjoys some of the shows they watch. i can see him rocking with my little pony.
he loves playing with the girls. he loves their imagination.
gets VERY invested in the barbie storylines they come up with. does high pitched voices when he’s acting out the girl dolls and it makes the twins laugh until they’re rolling on the ground.
he also keeps all the drawings they make him, every single one. they’re also on display in his office.
he knows what it feels like to feel unequal to his siblings so he is very careful to make sure they both get the same amount of love and attention. ❤️
if they fight as they get older, he doesn’t get involved. he knows girls are scary when they’re mad. he lets you handle that. 💀
very invested in the school gossip when they get to that age. when he picks them up from school he’s always eager to know what happened.
protective. VERY anti-boy.
“wait, you said… DATING?” he says when the girls mention a new couple one day.
“yeah dad, we’re in 7th grade now.”
“yeah, dad.”
“NO BOYS! not now, not ever. they are stupid and ugly and think about nothing but themselves.” (he knows this because he was one💀)
(you know the scene from the movie “coco” where the grandma says “no music” over and over again? yeah, replace “music” with “boys”. same energy.)
teaches them about girl power from an early age.
of course, their mother leads the conversation, but he’s so dedicated to help these girls understand their worth. that they can be anything they want.
he already considered himself a feminist before having his daughters, but after having them, he is THE #1 feminist.
when they start talking about crushes, you have to explain to terzo that it’s normal and bound to happen one day.
he just loves his girls so much, he doesn’t want them to grow up🥲
but, uh…
god forbid any boy breaks one of their hearts.
oh, he is not above pulling the satan card on a 13 year old boy.
but you know, one quick google search of “emeritus” will do the trick. any boy will be sure to understand why messing with either of terzo’s girls is a death wish.🥰

i hope you enjoyed and this brought some light to your day!!! honestly i’m a little obsessed😭 hope you’re doing well!! remember you’re loved!!!❤️❤️❤️

Monster High G3 Opinions (Part 1)
Tumblr media
I loved Monster High since the first time I saw them in stores. I was neck deep in my creepypasta phase and seeing this dolls that were the decedents of well-known monsters was something special to me because I never saw something like that ever before.
I loved their fashion and and (at the time) unique doll features (transparent limps, skeleton bodies, colorful skin, etc,..) but unfortunately I never owned a single MH doll until I was well into my twenties. Even though I was obsessed with them in my teens, I now have a much deeper love for them since I'm now able to buy them myself.
I was quite exited after hearing that G3 was coming and seeing the first images of the new dolls was something special to me.
After seeing G1 and G2 I was quite surprised how much they actually changed for G3 both look and personality wise and it took me a while to get used to some of the changes. What I can't get used to is the constant complaining of other fans who grew up with G1.
Yes, G1 had nice outfits but it also came out in the early 2010s so it's a bit more of a reflection of that time. G3 is meant to appeal to this generation of kids and young teens. We are not the main demographic of this dolls. Your childhood is not ruined! It's still there! Let the kids have their own thing!
Draculaura
Tumblr media
Draculaura. MH's favorite child. Why else would she get so many dolls?
G1 Draculaura probably appealed mostly to the girlies who had an obsession of vampires thanks to twilight and vampire diaries (I know this because I was that "girl").
Ten years ago I would have thought that the G1 doll was one of the best looking dolls out there but comparing her with the G3 version I have to admit that she is quit boring. I fell in love the G3 doll immediately. She got such a nice glow up and I love the new body type for her.
Small doll rant: The new bodies of G3 are such a nice upgrade from G1. One of the issues I had with G1 was the fact that felt so fragile in the hand. Like holding a couple of sticks. Even compared to a regular Barbie doll they were awfully thin. I liked what they did with the different heights but the different body types just makes them so much better.
G1 Draculaura had over the years a lot of great outfits mostly because she had so much dolls made of her. G3 still goes strong with a witchy touch but they still put her in almost every thing. She is the only character to be in every single skulltimate secrets series. Give that girl a break for fucks sake! Give the spotlight to somebody else!
Clawdeen
Tumblr media
Clawdeen was the very first Monster High doll I ever bought. It was the Boo-riginal Creeproduction and she was the only doll left at the store. I love her so much and she has a special place in my heart.
Unfortunately, G1 Clawdeen had the problem that had the most misses in therms of outfits and suffered the most skin color changes (they turned her gray in Freak Du Chic and blue in Great Scarrier Reef which is weird since she was the only one who had her skin changed. Clawvenus gets a pass because she got fused with Venus)
I understand why they used so much animal print and fur in her outfits but a lot of them just weren't it. Like they did her dirty so many times but the few good ones were iconic.
G3 Claweed is just adorable. I love her so much and she got so many cute outfits so far. The only thing that annoys me is the fact that they keep giving her purple hair. I like the purple streaks she has in her core doll but every time they give her full on purple hair it's too much. I clashes with her outfit too much make her look like a purple blob.
Frankie
Tumblr media
Frankie! My favorite since day one! G1 Frankie was an icon. She had so many gorgeous outfits.
I just love her so much.
G3 Frankie dethroned G1 the moment I read their bio. As someone who is non-binary having a doll who shares the same identity as myself is just huge. It's just something that I never thought I could have and I almost cried after seeing them in person. This doll has so much more meaning to me than any other doll.
I will be biased about them. I love them too much.

From yesterday. She loves to sit on the bench like a human and watch the world go by.
Today I got pretty sick so I'm going to have to not do much for the next few days let alone go out (the purpura are intense, I look like I took a spitting pan of grease to the face or measles or something. Also strained the neck injury which is visibly swollen and mighty sore)
I've listed the 9 vintage heads as a bundle and the Monster High bait on ebay (saffyruth)
but so long as there are no bids any dollblr folks can have the vintage head bundle for 8$ (aka free with tracked postage bubble envelope worldwide) or a $30 (aka the price of a kilo) box of dolls: monsters, various barbie/disney, stretch fabrics, fun yarn scraps for reroots, assorted accessories... (see suppi.net/bratz/recap.php for headshots) I'd be delighted to put together a custom package instead of listing stuff on ebay. If you're in the EU, 11€ for 3kilos of assorted doll junk. I'll empty the various drawers on to my bed: take photos and you can pick and choose.
Other stuff on ebay is available to be *added* to a just pay postage box, it's priced by how much it cost and the amount of work involved (glue treatments, bleaching and whatnot). I don't allow haggling once I've settled on an "ebay acceptable" price because the worth in time/effort and my minimum reveals itself. I know, the rules are weird. 😅 Reroots became more precious once I couldn't replicate that again, like sentimental value, I hope that makes sense.
Haven't posted much, had a lot to say but wasn't sure it was appropriate or would be properly understood. Not wording great lately. Having to do an overview of 2023 brought up some really interesting things about what I value and collect that need to be worded in a way that can't be misconstrued "so you hate waffles?"-style.
I've been grieving somewhat for a while and, well, it seems like everyone is going through it, so why add to dash sadness (at a time like this too)? But also had a bittersweet healing moment with mum and got to know my sister a little better as she's been coming on dog walks (Talia is hers, well it's more like she is Talias: chihuahuas bond to their chosen human, it's quite astonishing to witness) and my old lady-baby Lily is in better shape than ever. And some pondering about what kind of hobbyist I'd like to be if I can't use my arms again much this year (arm movements also include photos, editing and typing)
Ok off to sleep, see you in 12-14h. Love to all and special thoughts to everyone I'm seeing having a rough time of it. PS: Dms or emails re "doll clear out" will work much better than replies/reblogs.

I just had an epiphany about the Barbie movie and I need to share it
So I watched Barbie like a week ago with my friend and I liked it, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't really life changing to me, it didn't really feel like I was the target audience despite having been raised as a girl and partially still identifying as a woman.
It never crossed my mind that I should change for a man, that I should serve a man or that I should tie my worth to a man, I never had to overcome that because I never really...cared about those things. I'm a lesbian and even as a kid, even as a teen I didn't think having a boyfriend was an inherently good thing, if anything I viewed it as a nuisance because my friends would mostly just complain about their partners.
I walked out of the theater thinking it was a really nice movie and feeling glad that it made a lot of people reflect on themselves and our society. I felt glad for others, because I didn't really feel targeted by any of the themes the movie was presenting.
That was until I thought about it at home and realized something. The friend I watched it with was a very femme cishet girl, she was very much the target audience of this movie. She listens to Melanie Martinez, she has a history of toxic boyfriends, all that jazz.
I remembered that during the montage of reminding the Barbies who they are, she said, out of nowhere "Oh, I hope they find the Weird Barbie doll and fix her too, that would be so nice." and I was so flabbergasted by that and I had so much to say to her about that that I just shushed her instead of saying anything and ended up forgetting about it by the end of the movie.
So when I recalled that, I also recalled that it was really hurtful, in that moment, to hear it from her and I couldn't place why.
I understood that she didn't mean it in a bad way at all. I understood that she saw the damage on Weird Barbie as traces of abuse, the sequence with the girl doing it was very violent and I understand she would've interpreted that as a traumatic event. I understood how she would view Weird Barbie getting restored as her healing from that trauma, becoming again who she was before it happened. But I... didn't really see it that way.
You see, I was in the "popular" girls group when I started elementary school, I gossiped with them, I laughed with them, I had a pool, that was all it took to be a cool kid when you were 7. But eventually it wasn't enough. They changed their style and priorities and suddenly they didn't care about Monster High and Winx anymore, they cared about boys and make-up. I was called immature and childish for still playing with toys when I was 11-12...by 12yo girls. I dressed in a very colorful expressive way, that was called weird. I was advised, by my classmates (only girls), to try dressing "normal" and try wearing a little mascara when I was 13.
The thing is, I didn't feel like the weird one, because from my point of view they were the ones who changed and were being weird now. I didn't like how they dressed and how they acted and how they presented themselves so I rejected that and continued expressing myself the way I wanted. So I was pushed away, I was silently dismissed. I was called weird behind my back and to my face. I was mocked for being myself. I was advised again and again to just try and fit in. But I didn't want to because I understood, even at that age, that it wouldn't make me happy to fit in with these people.
In high school I doubled down in the opposite direction and went full goth, which still made me stand out, but I understood that the people who would stick with me even tho I didn't look like them, were the ones worth being around. I literally wore smudged black eyeliner and black lipstick and goth casual to the Barbie movie.
So I realized, that my representation in the movie was Weird Barbie. And if she did get "fixed" I would genuinely be upset and it would also go against the message of the movie I feel. Even tho she was shunned from her community she remained kind, she was more understanding than any other Barbie, she was herself unapologetically. Yes, her looks were the result of her getting damaged by her girl but she embraced it, she expressed herself through it, she was the coolest Barbie in Barbieland.
Because she was like me.

World's I want to live in.
1. Gen 1 monster high: listen if my family doesn't accept me I'll put on a fursuit and attend monster high, and we can have a big liar revealed moment and there'll be a big monolog about acceptance and you just needed to be yourself or something then I'm never mentioned again other than sometimes in the background and a few dolls of me.
2 ever after high: listen I know it's the same universe but like eh, I wanna be apart of the debate about following a destiny and I'll either have a breakdown about my destiny or just be a gag character that is constantly passed the fuck out in the background
3. Pixie hollow: listen I wanna be a little gay fairy no thoughts only flutter, be small...
4. Winx club: AGAIN gay fairy OR extra gay witch ready to murk a bitch with lil spells and eventually being redeemed because the writers didn't know what to do with me and everyone forgets me im a season
5. HEAR ME OUT BARBIE: I GET TO BE EITHER THE GAY VILLIAN THAT MAKES THE MOVIE 10X BETTER AND MY MOTIVES ARE NOTHING BUT "I AM EVIL AND GAY" OR THE SUPPORTING MALE ROLE THAT THE CISHETS SAY "THAT'S BARBIES LOVE INTERSET" WHEN I AM JUST A LITTLE TUMBLR SEXYMAN AND BARBIE IS A LESBIAN
6. Cookie run!: it'd just be fun! Politics? Never heard of em let's go save earthbeard then go to sparkling cookie's bar
My little pony: yes
So yes I have cried watching children shows and I am gay

Interlude: Doll/Pony Tinsel Types and Why I Hate Them.
Still working on that box of ponies, so nothing to queue at the moment.
Anyway, I have a love/hate relationship with tinsel. It’s pretty, sparkly, and shiny but it’s unruly and difficult to manage.
There are 3 main types of tinsel that I know of, though I do NOT know their official names. I don’t even have any of my least favorite in my stash.
Tumblr media
I do have mylar, and two different foils:  faceted holo and smooth.
My least favorite, and thankfully one I don’t see too often:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This type of tinsel, shown here on a Deluxe Disney Store 17in Singing Rapunzel and a Fashion Star Fillies Bobbie (this is also Monster High G1 Cleo’s tinsel) is a very thin, fragile strip of metallic foil that’s tightly twisted with a bundle of equally fragile (I think nylon) strings because the strings have short fibers that are twisted together like tiny yarn.
When it’s new, it has a beautiful, light-catching sparkle. It also lays and behaves more like hair, though it doesn’t take a curl well.
However, the more it’s touched, brushed, or combed, the more it falls apart. The Rapunzel example shows the strands separating pretty well.
The foil will get stretched free from the strings and break, the string will shred, and you end up with a lot of loose, broken bits in your comb.
It also tangles easily, and does NOT untangle easily.
I dislike trying to work with this type, because it cannot be flat ironed smooth because it’s twisted, and most of it is lost in the repair process.
Tumblr media
Bobbie ended up with only some short bits left after all of the broken string and foil were removed from the tangle.
My favorite for aesthetics, but not great for styling (not that any of them are great for styling):
I love the look of mylar tinsel. It’s holo and works with most hair colors without being overtly visible (like, the tinsel is clear so it won’t affect the visual color of the hair, just add sparkle) if you don’t mind your sparkle being predominately green. You’ll see it a lot on G3 MLP.
This type of tinsel is more resilient and can stretch a bit before breaking. It also holds up relatively well to combing, other than it’s penchant for curling when combed.
Tumblr media
Bit it is UNRULY and gets very messy with play.
Look at this Barbie (photo from Mandarake):
Tumblr media
While this tinsel CAN be restored (flat irons well on the same settings as nylon hair), it will curl up again immediately the first time you brush or comb it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It likes to stick up and, despite liking to curl on it’s own, does not like to BE curled. It likes to do it’s own thing.
The third type which I am rather neutral about:
Foil! This is the tinsel most often used in G1 MLP.
It is pretty, shiny, smooth, metallic, comes in tons of colors (both flat colors and the faceted holo type I showed earlier), and is relatively resilient to play though you can easily pluck out individual strands.
It’s downside is that it crunckles and when it crunkles, it looks and feels horrible.
Tumblr media
Before I started working on ponies I’d see people saying that you can’t really FIX this type and to uncrunkle foil tinsel, you pull on it to stretch it out. The only problem I have with that is that it can only be stretched so far or so many times before it loses it’s ability to stretch any more. When stretched, this tinsel does NOT bounce back. It stays stretched.
Tumblr media
I have discovered that you can, in fact, fix it. It also flat irons on the same heat setting as nylon.
The only issue I’ve run into with fixing this type of tinsel is that sometimes the colored coating flakes off leaving a bare silver color behind. That has happened very rarely.

Okay, soooo...
Seems like an Ever After High “official” account named @officialleverafterhigh was created a week ago on TikTok. For the moment, only reposts of reels already released years ago on the official Instagram page of Ever After High. But this mysterious account responds to comments saying it is official and hinting that maybe something will happen in 2023 for Ever After High.
The reasons why I am sceptical about it:  - Like I’ve said many and many times, while I love Ever After High, it was never been as successful as Monster High. Chances for a reboot are low.  - Why will Mattel bring back Ever After High now they have recovered the Disney Princesses license? Ever After High was one of the reasons why they lost in the first place.  - The account name @officialleverafterhigh is written with two “L” for “official”.  - This account doesn’t have the official account icon like the official Monster High TikTok account.
Tumblr media
 - No link to an official website (of course, because there’s no longer website for Ever After High)  - The hashtag #Everafterhigh is written with only ONE capital letter. Look on the official Barbie and Monster High TikTok accounts, they use capital letter at the beginning of EACH word for the hashtags into their posts.
To be continued...
(but I think this is a FAKE account sooo “THE END”)
