Just Some Friendly Competition: Gladiolus Amicitia
Fandom: Final Fantasy XV
Warnings: Suggestive is that a warning ?
Word Count: 900
Pairing: Gladiolus Amicitia x Lianna Lucius Caelum (OC)
Note: This was written for @singlebecauseofthechocobros. I hope you enjoy this Gladio piece, it’s my first time writing a suggestive piece so it may be a little off. But I hope you enjoy it and thank you for being such a caring, book loving, sassy soul that I can tell anything to. Love ya girl
Everyone knew that the king’s shield loved to read. And the holidays were Gladio’s favorite time of year, all the book sales and downtime gave him the chance to catch up on all the reading he feels he missed out on. In his current holiday read, two star crossed lovers were building gingerbread houses with each other after being snowed in which ended up with a lot of fluff and a confession of love that had Gladio all mushy inside. Gladio, being the amazing romantic boyfriend that he was, thought it would be a sweet idea to surprise Lianna with two kits. But Gladio forgot about one thing: their relationship is composed of two very very competitive people.
“Please babe I am the king of gingerbread houses.” he smirked at her from across the table at his girlfriend. They both had the day free and he loved the sight of his girlfriend so relaxed when she was away from the castle. Her long blonde hair was pulled up into a bun and the little bit of sun that was peaking through the winter sky made her look ethereal. Gladio had the kits set out when she arrived and of course Gladio’s playful nature just had to make a comment.
Lianna cocked an eyebrow a devious smile playing on her lips “Are you really? Why don’t we make this interesting, whoever builds the better house gets to make the loser do whatever they want.”
“Oh it’s on babe. Hope your pride won’t be too injured when you see my work of art.”
“Stop trying to touch my house Gladio. Are you that scared of some competition?”
“I don’t understand how you could be so confident with this masterpiece of a house sitting right next to you.” Gladio scoffed, gesturing at his house to emphasize but watched in horror as his house wobbled and slowly caved in, much to Lianna’s delight.
Her blue eyes sparkled as she laughed, “You can’t be stingy with that frosting babe.”
“You’re the one eating all the frosting and candy!” He huffed
“Hey there is more than enough candy and frosting than we need.” the blonde whined. She was currently trying to pipe the roof and windows on and her hands were shaking from laughing at Gladio’s mistake. Gladio glanced up from his house at her and his face warmed at the sight of Lianna bent over the table her low cut sweater teasing at her bralette. He cleared his throat and went back to trying to rebuild his house when Lianna glanced up at him, her confused look morphing into a playful smirk when she realized what had him so flustered.
The pair continued, throwing taunts back and forth and Lianna made sure to never lighten up on her subtle teasing, delighted at the fact that her boyfriend was so affected by it. They were almost done and Li had to admit that Gladio’s house was pretty nice albeit a bit shaky.
Gladio tried to reach for a peppermint on the window of Li’s house and froze when the house wobbled. “I swear to Six Gladio, if you try to knock down my gingerbread house one more time, I will put snow on your face.”
“Oh will you? “ He drawled and Li barely had time to react before he darted towards her, making her scream and run out of the kitchen. She hurried away from her vindictive boyfriend, his laughter could be heard from behind her and it sent her on her own laughing fit. His strong arms wrapped around her waist. The pair bounced down on the bed, messing up the sheets as he made quick work of turning her body so he could straddle her thighs with such an ease it took her breath away.
“Gladdy,” Li squealed as he gathered her hand with one hand, knowing what was about to come next. Her laughter rang out as he tickled her side with his free hand.
“I’ll stop when you admit my house was better than yours.” He laughed over her groans and attempts to throw him off.
“Fine! Stop!” She yelled, realizing there was no way to get him off. Gladio eased off his hold, narrowing his eyes in waiting as Lianna tried to recover her breath. His hair was falling in his face and Lianna couldn’t resist the urge to brush it out of his way.
Gladio’s comeback got stuck in his throat when he looked at Lianna. She had frosting smeared on her cheeks and that content smile on her face that he absolutely loved because she was only like this around him.
“Ya know now that there’s frosting all over you I’m sure you’ll need some help taking it off. I will more than happily offer my assistance.” Gladio’s voice dropped deeper and Lianna’s body reacted to it immediately.
Her eyes met his and she raised an eyebrow her pink lips widening into a smirk, “Well, how could I say no to that?” She squealed as Gladio lifted her and all but ran into the bathroom with her over his shoulder.
Maybe some friendly competition wouldn’t hurt from time to time

OC Universe: Ravus x OC - Fire & Thunder
I’m sorry for giving myself some treats by writing about my sweet Selene Lucis Caelum Nox Fleuret and Ravus. I love them and after getting the matchup from @singlebecauseofthechocobros I’ve been so badly in Ravus feels.
Tagging the rest of my OC universe friends: @glaive-eve, @owlwrites, @sherniwrites, @promptoastandjam and @bleucommelhiver.
Pairing: Ravus Nox Fleuret x Selene Nox Fleuret Warnings: So much hatred.
Heavy rain drummed the massive glass windows of the Citadel. The darkness had fallen for the night, only occasionally lit up by fierce strikes of lightning. The whole heavily clouded sky above of Insomnia roared almost as if it wanted to cast its judgement.
The ambassador of Tenebrae sighed, his chin leaning against the palm of his hand. The silver haired ambassador looked tired and was completely lost in thought. Too lost to pay attention to the crackling lightnings just outside his window.
He was still stuck in the middle of reading a document, and had been staring at one page far too long. He sighed once again as he realized that he had to start reading from the beginning.
“I'll be back in the evening. Like usual.”
Her fed-up tone kept coming back to his mind. Oddly enough, he didn't hate hearing her voice in his head as much as he should have, which sprouted more questions. Why was he thinking about her in the first place?
And she was also late.
Ravus leaned against the backrest of his chair and glanced at the clock. Selene was supposed to be home at nine. She always came back by nine, and went straight to her bed.
He had to remind himself not to feel concerned. They deeply hated each other, both cursed the day they were wed and avoided talking to one another as much as possible.
Then why he wasn't able to focus? It was just one simple document.
The door to the living quarters opened suddenly with a silent clack after Selene had spent a good time fumbling with the keys. The wine she had drank with Honoria had certainly affected her skills to open just a one damn lock.
Ravus’ were eyes shot up the instant he heard the noise.
“You're late,” he stated calmly.
Selene froze into the very spot she was standing on. She was confused, but only for a moment before the fire inside of her started growing.
“Why do you care?” Selene scoffed and resumed to her preparations to go to bed. If she wasn't full of fire and brimstone, her tone could have frozen everything in the room.
Why indeed did he care? Ravus hadn't come up with the answer to himself either. He had only one answer to give to her: “If the wife of the ambassador arrives two hours later — in the middle of the night — what do you think the people will assume?”
The whole marriage was just a front. There were no real emotions, except hate, between the two. Selene glared at her husband, flames roaring stronger and stronger by the minute. Ravus looked at her almost like a statue; cold and judging.
“Who cares what they think?” Selene said slowly between her gritted teeth. She couldn't understand why he had to ruin a good day by talking to her. “Can't you just do whatever the fuck you’re supposed to and let me be?”
Ravus stood up, and walked over to her and stared her down. Their gazes were full of lightning and fire and they stood in silence anyone could have cut with a knife. Even a dull one could have handled the job.
“If this got out to the rest of the world−”
“You can't tell me what to do!”
Selene felt her heart racing in her chest, but it was full of rage. A ball of fire glowed in her tightened fist, ready to burn and destroy. She wouldn’t even hesitate using her magic.
“Think about your sister,” Ravus said, now his tone falling ice cold.
“Which one? And they have nothing to do with this.” She hated to hear him speaking about her sisters. Especially about the one who got hurt badly because of him. Why would she forgive him? Why would she ever let him talk about them? “You have no right to speak about my family!”
He sighed and lowered his gaze. “This thing isn’t just about us. After the honeymoon, everyone has been throwing guesses about our marriage.”
“Well it’s not my fault that you’re such a jerk!” she screamed almost like a banshee.
“Do you really thi−”
“Do you really think I wanted THIS? To be with you? I am doing everything to keep myself sane, so excuse me if I spend time with my friends. Why the fuck does it bother you so much?”
Why did it bother him? His heart skipped a beat. Everything felt suddenly blurry and unclear, but his body moved unwillingly. He quickly closed the distance and placed his lips on hers. She felt warm and her lips were soft. She tasted like a fine wine and sweet cakes. Why did he kiss her?
And she didn’t fight back.
Selene gasped after he backed away. She was unable to speak and her brain had jammed completely. Why did she let him do something like that? She hated him, she hated every ounce of him, yet she had enjoyed the touch of his lips. It was different from those fake kisses they had to give to the media as a proof of a ‘happy marriage’.
She nodded quietly and the fire diminished from her hand. The fist smoked for a few seconds after the fire was gone.
“I uh… I’m going to bed now.” Selene said somewhat awkwardly.
“Yes. Do that.” Ravus answered blankly, his pale blue eyes even paler than before.

PROMPT: Day 1 - “Take my hand.” RATING: SFW - T for language WORDS: 791 NOTES: Decided to participate in Monthly Writing Challenges (basically a new prompt everyday) as a way to get over my writers block. Been a bit short on time from work obligations, so hopefully these short drabbles will get me back in the swing of things. Expect something new everyday (FROM ME??? BLASPHEMMYYYYYYYY.) Based loosely on the world and relationships of Wayward Children yes the protag is based on the reader from there.
Shit, she thought as she lodged the blade of her corvo deep into the sheet metal of the Nif aircraft, pulling herself up with some difficulty and into the cargo bay, just in time to dodge the bullets that pierced the hull of where she just was. With her back pressed against the wall, she looked over her shoulder, grateful that the Nif tactics never seemed to deviate: arrive at the drop-point and dump a hoard of MT axemen and assassin units on their targets. It made her job that much easier. Extracting technology from their newest airship would be a piece a cake without the looming distraction of units aboard.
Two fingers pressed against her com-link, she said, “Pelna, I’m in. Walk me through this.”
“Got it. I’m not registering any other heat signatures on board. Should be easy enough. Look for a rectangular electric panel—”
A voice cackled in her ear as Crowe’s voice filtered through the static. “C’mon, Pel, a rectangular electrical panel on a Nif airship? No way.”
“If you’d let me finish, I was about to give her the specs.”
“Seriously, guys? Ship’s empty and all, but I don’t know for how long. Kind of want to make it back in one piece.”
“Yeah, guys. The King’ll have your heads if he finds out he lost his precious princess to the bickering of two idiots.”
“Not a princess!” she groaned as her ear buzzed simultaneously with the voices of her team shouting: “Oi, you’re one to talk, Ulric,” “Don’t think you’d get off scot-free, hero,” and “Would you all shut up.”
“Concentrate. Or you’re all due for a month’s worth of Wall duty,” their captain growled out suddenly before the telltale beep signaled his disconnection.
“…no one told me Captain Grouchy-pants was on this frequency.”
Laughter so contagious burst through her earpiece she almost caught herself giggling along when she remembered where she was.
“Uh…still here, guys. Still on the Nif ship. Waiting.”
“Right, uh, it’ll have—” Pelna started, but the rest of his words were lost in an ugly cacophony of twisting metal and shattering glass.
The sheer force of the explosion knocked her on her back. Her head throbbed from the impact. Before she could regain her footing, the ground began to tilt followed by the groan of what sounded like eminent engine failure.
Scrambling for purchase, her body lurched with the airship, hitting the opposite wall. Instinct made her latch onto the railing with her uninjured hand, hanging on for her dear life. While the aircraft was descending haphazardly at a snail’s pace, there was still hundreds of feet between her and the ground. There was no way she’d be able to warp down successfully with her dominant wrist sprained.
This was it. This was how she was going to die. She should’ve listened to father. Should’ve taken those extra lessons with Selene. Should’ve—
“Take my hand.”
Relief swelled through her chest until she looked up to see Luche, the one person worse at warping than Pelna, who’s perpetually stuck at command. Although, to his credit, it was mostly due to his expertise in data analytics and tactical coordination.
“No,” she grunted. “I’m fine.”
“Seriously? Now?”
“You’ll drop me!”
“I won’t— Don’t you trust me?”
“No.”
“You think I’m going to drop you on purpose or something? I’d never entertain anything so treasonous as dropping his Highness’ precious daughter.”
She squinted her eyes at him in mock consideration as if to say, “Wouldn’t you?” while trying to hedge her options. She could admit she didn’t believe he had the ability to warp with a passenger and hang for her dear life or take a gamble hundreds of feet in midair…
“Astrals above, seriously?” he cursed in frustration, tapping his com-link on. “Ulric, get over here and take care of your girlfriend.”
Luche winced as two voices simultaneously yelled at him:
“Not my girlfriend!”
“Not my boyfriend!”
Nyx snorted at the scene of his favorite glaive straining against the railing, too stubborn to accept Luche’s help, and regulation-stickler-Luche dangling on the same railing barely two-feet away, frustrated but too concerned to leave her alone. Throwing his kukri toward them, he warped onto the railing and snaked his arm around her waist.
“You’re such a pain in my ass, Ria.”
Aeria laughed, all teeth and twinkling eyes. “That may be so, Nyx Ulric, but you love it.
With a roll of his eyes, Nyx expertly flicked his kukri into the air, taking her laughing form with him.
“You owe me one.”
“You can count us even for the last time I saved your ass.”
“Ungrateful brat.”
“Unrelenting jerk.”
Static buzzed in their ears before Pelna’s voice came over loud and clear. “Will you two get a room already?”

Hey giiiiirl. So I was wondering and there's no rush, but could I request Ravus angst? Maybe him and Lianna? He is engaged/married to her sister after all and I just would love to see either closure or all out rage lmao. You don't have to say yes! I just was wondering 💁🏼‍♀️
Ravus x OC: Fragments of Past
Warnings: Angst.Notes: I hope it’s angsty enough. I tried.
Thegrand ballroom of the Citadel was once again filled with applauds. The band, wearing all white, bowed down politely — not once, buttwice. The air was almost instantly filled with excited murmurs; wasthe King going to speak for his guests?
Itwas an evening of celebration; the youngest princess of the LucisCaelum bloodline was engaged to the prince of the Nox Fleuret family! It was an union the whole Eos gossiped about. Some had expected tosee a different pairing to be wed eventually, but after theannouncement− it all made sense. In some way.
Therewas no way the King would let his first-born to be wed away. Sheplayed an important role as an ambassador, some even said that shewas the beacon of the new dawn.
Liannastood still with an empty plate in her hands. The cakes were supposedto taste heavenly, yet she felt like she had just poured ash into hermouth.
“Ishould be happy for her,” she muttered to herself. As much as itpained for her to be there at the engagement party, she had to bethere for her sister and to represent the Lucis Caelums. She had tosmile as if she was thrilled to see her younger sister to be engaged.
Ifthere was one thing she was good at− it was the fake smile she hadplastered across her face. It became a ghost in the instant she wasleft alone, as she was then. She stared at her father from theshadows of the ballroom. The king was cheerfully chatting withTenebraen representatives and completely unaware of his daughter’sglare.
Therewas no sign of Ravus.
Allnight she had been stealing glances at the silver haired man, feelingthe pain churning inside her shattered heart. The words still ranginside her head whenever she thought about the past.
Wasshe a fool? Did he just toy with her back then?
Herhand clasped the fabrics over her chest. She still remembered hisscent, his touch and his warmth against her body. Was it all just alie?
“YourHighness!”
Liannasnapped from her thoughts and almost dropped the plate in her hand. The smile that had left her lips returned instantly as she turnedaround to see a waiter addressing to her.
“ShallI take your plate, Your Highness?”
Theprincess nodded meekly and noticed how the silver haired princeslipped to the balcony not far from her. She didn’t have to excuseherself as she walked past the waiter.
Thiswas her chance. She needed to know thetruth.
Theair was cool outside and it calmed down Lianna’s glowing cheeks.
Ravuswas leaning against the railing, moonlight reflecting from his whitehair. He was a somewhat sad sight; his pale eyes searched longinglyfor something that wasn’t there.
“Ravus,”Lianna spoke, holding her breath back. She knew she was about to diveinto something that couldn’t be easily escaped from. Her heartraced from grief and anger.
Theprince of Tenebrae didn’t turn around; he sighed into the distance.
“Lianna.”
Theway he said her name−  it still made her skin crawl. His voice waslike a drug she wanted to get rid of, but was always entranced tohear more. She felt breathless, just as she had thought.
Finally,he turned around, looking irritated to be interrupted. Lianna couldonly guess that this wasn’t the first interruption during theevening. It surely wouldn’t be the last one either. She opened andclosed her mouth, unable to form a proper sentence.
Whyis it so hard?
“Whatdo you want?” Ravus spoke coldly, he had to. It was the only way.Even after all this time, a stinging pain poked his chestunexpectedly. He thought it would be easy, but it wasn’t.
“Justtell me,” Lianna managed to say in hushed tone, “tell me why?”
Hisface was like a book written in ancient, unreadable language. Therewas no way to know what went behind that cold mask he conjured up.The pair of blue eyes probed every inch of Lianna’s face, as iftrying to find a weakness.
“Ithought you were more clever than that,” he answered bluntly.
Itmade fury boil inside the princess and she narrowed her eyes. Thecheerful smile she wore as her own mask was long gone. “Did youknow… about this?” she gasped.
Thehurt in her undertone was evident. It cut the scarred wounds inRavus’ heart. He wasn’t going to give in; this was his life now.It was the life his mother and Regis had long ago planned. He had tolet go before it would be too hard.
“It’snot my problem if your father didn’t brief you.”
“Whyare you like this?” Lianna asked. She wanted to scream, to summonher weapon and attack. She needed to know if Ravus had played gameswith her feelings and the thought tore the remnants of her heartapart.
Ravusnever had the chance to answer. Selene ran through the balcony door, only to find her future husband and her sister in the middle of aquarrel.
“Sis,I was looking for you.” Selene huffed and glanced at Ravus quickly, but it was far from friendly. “You better stay away from Lianna, you’ve done enough.”
Ravuscursed the day he was engaged to her. Selene didn’t even know allthe details− but she knew enough to build even more hatred towardshim.
Liannanodded curtly towards Ravus and walked over to her little sister. Shedidn’t look back, she didn’t want to see the pieces of her brokenheart all over the balcony.
Maybeone day, she could look at him without feeling like her heart wasbeing ripped out of her chest. Maybe one day, she would find someonewho truly cared about her and would heal the fragments of her heart.

Sword Lessons: Gladiolus x OC
Okay, first of all, I love Lianna Lucis Caelum. Second of all, I know @singlebecauseofthechocobros is super amazing and she deserves all the love, so I wrote this drabble of her OC for her.
Also someone please stop me from writing Gladio x Lianna, those two are just way too adorable and my hand might have slipped with this one.
I’m unsure whether or not should I tag this to our OC Universe, but I’m gonna do it anyway. Just let them be cute together, okay?
Word count: 900 Warnings: None / tiny bit of fluff. :3
I hope you enjoy reading it~ ♡
Tumblr media
Lianna sat on the floor, legs sprawled out in a way a princess should never have them. Her gaze followed sharply the motion of her fingers, as she inspected a sparring sword carefully.
As if it would reveal its darkest secrets.
Nobody knew she was down at the gym. It was late anyway, and she should have been in bed already. Council meetings waited for her in the morning, but she couldn’t get any sleep.
And then Lianna had felt a sudden rebellious need to sneak downstairs, put on her training outfit and swing that sword like there was no tomorrow. She spent a good time practicing different slashes, stabs, cuts, parries and blocks.
The training made her feel satisfied and so she had collapsed on the floor, but only for a moment, to study her weapon and to even out her breathing.
“Lianna? You're here?”
She grabbed her sword and jumped instantly to face the person skulking in the room, almost as if she had been just caught from doing something she wasn't supposed to. Which was almost correct.
Lianna took a defensive stance automatically− without giving it much thought. She made the intruder howl from amusement, making her feel foolish and embarrassed once her brain registered that it was just Gladiolus Amicitia.
“What are you doing here?” Lianna was surprised to see him at the Citadel so late in the evening. She lowered her practice sword and swept sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand.
“I could ask you the same,” Gladio answered with a soft smile. He threw his gym bag on the floor with a feeble thud echoing in the silent gym and walked over to Lianna.
She flashed him an exhausted smile and showed the sword she still held in her hand.
“Couldn't sleep?” Gladio asked, worry making his brows furrow.
Lianna tried to answer, but she couldn't bring herself to respond properly. So she nodded curtly and looked at the Shield’s amber eyes. Her heart skipped a beat when their eyes met.
Gladiolus heaved a heavy sigh and a smile returned to adorn his face and the worry melted away from his expression. “Well, I hope you don't mind me tagging along then.”
“Hopefully you have room to swing a sword in here,” Lianna jested and lifted the sword in her hands. She took a deep breath before she started slashing the air again, heart beating furiously against her ribcage.
Gladio moved to the side and picked up a practice sword from a weapon rack next to the wall. “Not sure if I do with you being here,” he muttered with a smile.
Lianna side-eyed the man, who had turned his back towards her. Her gaze was soon lost in his tattoos and back, causing her swing to miss. She nearly lost her balance− just as she had lost her focus. Gladio turned around to see the flustered princess swinging her sword with a beet red face, as if it would make it disappear.
“Are you alright?” Gladio asked, quirking a brow and studying the practice pattern Lianna was slicing through.
“Perfectly fine.” Lianna growled behind her teeth, keeping her eyes strictly on a nonexistent target.
Gladiolus crossed his arms over his chest and squinted his eyes in disbelief. “That’s not how you’re supposed to attack,” he said softly. Lianna paused and cautiously lifted her gaze from the invisible enemy.
He tossed his practice sword aside and moved behind Lianna. He took her hands into his and lifted the sword on her hands. Lianna felt how his touch made a spark turn into a tiny flame in her stomach. She relaxed, but at the same time her heart got more excited.
“I’ve taught you this so many times Li…” Gladio murmured behind her. Lianna felt his warm body against her back.
“I know,” Lianna whispered.
“You’ve got a lot to learn.” Gladio moved her hands slowly to show her how to land the perfect strike.
Lianna laughed nervously. “I’ve got a good teacher.”
“Oh? You should introduce us someday,” Gladio said, smile evident in his tone.
“Not sure if your ego can handle him,” Lianna giggled and accidentally leaned her head against his shoulder. She had never done so before. She had never even thought of doing so to anyone, not after… him. Yet when their eyes met, there was something. No endless void, no hurt feelings, no furious rage.
There was just Lianna and Gladio.
Gladio froze and Lianna’s eyes widened as she realized what she had just done. She quickly got away from his hold, feeling more flustered than ever.
“I-I’m sorry— I shouldn’t have—” Lianna panicked, her heart literally throbbing in her throat.
“It’s okay,” Gladio reassured, he handed her practice sword back and placed his hands on his hips. He was unsure of what to say to the princess. He had enjoyed it, but was it the right thing to feel?
“So, uhm… It’s getting pretty late.” She tried to sound cheery, like nothing out of ordinary had happened. The truth was that her body was buzzing out of curiosity and… warmth she hadn’t felt in gods know when.
“Good night then, Li,” he said, regret of not running after her to the locker room burning his chest like a wildfire.
