What is up my horndogs welcome to heaven—or hell, depends on how you look at it. Anywhosy I love this absolutely CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED song. This fic is heavily inspired by it. Pls pls pls listen to it while reading I am genuinely begging rn.
**I do not own any characters or part of the franchise from Marvel or Spider-Man**
Pairing: tasm!Peter Parker x Male reader
Genre: sorta smut? Not explicit but def some horny shit
Summary: Peter loves when he comes home to you
Tw: alcohol, birdfeeding
Nicer Than the Sunshine
These times were the best. When you and him were off from work the next day. When Peter would come home from hero works late and you were there, waiting for him on the shared apartment’s fire escape. A bottle of cheap champagne and cheaper whiskey ready for the two of you to enjoy.
It would be an absurd time to be drinking, 2:00 am or something close to it. He would see you from a distance and no matter how tired he was, excitement would flood his bones. Making him feel a rush of adrenaline only his boyfriend could give him. Only you could give him. It would make his whole body tremble with excitement and anticipation.
He’d land rather ungracefully on the flight of stairs you were sitting by and practically jump onto you, frantically pressing his lips to yours like a thirsty man to a well. Then you’d put a hand on his chest and gently push him back.
“You know I love you in spandex but go change and shower before someone sees.” You’d chuckle.
And since he’s so goddamn desperate for you he’ll hop through the window and shower as quick as humanly possible. He’ll put on sweatpants and one of your sweatshirts because it’s cold outside and he’ll run back out into your arms.
He’d cup your face gently and kiss your lips like he was committing them to memory. You’d grin, pull the cork off of the champagne bottle and take a swig. Then hold it out for him to drink some; he’d gladly accept. You’d drink again and he’d connect your lips and you’d spit the fizzy intoxicating liquid into his mouth.
He’d swallow with a groan and pull back panting. You’d smirk and caress his cheek. The night would end when the bottles did. Both of you would stumble back to the bedroom at dawn and pass out on top of each other, just as the city started buzzing to life with civilians preparing for work.

In order to digest a fish whole, a bird requires a two-chambered stomach. The first chamber secretes acid, which helps break down bones and scales. The second (gizzard) grinds up pieces of food into much smaller pieces.

Winter Solstice Craft
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our birdfeeders went missing so I decided to try making one. I think I might still need to widen the holes some but I was having trouble since the only thing sharp enough to cut this was a box cutter. Might improve on it some if it winds up getting used - use a soldering iron (outside of course) to clean up the holes, switch the handle to wire, etc.
But at least I got to keep my yule tradition of feeding birds!

Junco Madness on my balcony this season!
Ever since the cold and snow came, they have been mobbing my bird feeders. I love these little guys so much. I'm glad I can over them a safe and reliable spot to come to.

Do American Robins Eat Seeds?
Tumblr media
People often wonder about the diet of American robins. A frequent question is whether these birds eat seeds. Let's explore the American robin's eating habits more deeply.
American Robins' Varied Diet
Favorite Foods: American robins love eating fruits, berries, and worms. In spring and summer, they often eat worms and insects. When it's colder, they switch to fruits and berries.
Hunting Technique: They have a special way of finding worms. They listen, look closely at the ground, and quickly pull the worms out.
Importance of Diet Variety: This diet change is important for their survival. Eating different foods helps them get the nutrients they need throughout the year.
Insects and Worms: The Main Meal
During the breeding season, American robins focus on eating insects and worms, especially earthworms. These foods are rich in protein, a nutrient essential for robins at this time of year. The high-protein diet serves several critical purposes:
Strength and Health: The protein in these foods helps the robins maintain their strength and overall health. It's a demanding time, and they need all the energy they can get.
Egg Production: For female robins, protein is vital for egg production. Healthy eggs are the first step in raising a new generation.
Feeding Chicks: Once the eggs hatch, both parents feed their chicks. Baby robins need a protein-rich diet for rapid growth and development. The parents make many daily trips to bring protein-filled insects and worms to their nestlings.
Energy for Caregiving: Caring for young ones is energy-intensive. Parents need to be alert and active to protect and feed their chicks. The protein from their diet gives them this much-needed energy.
Health of Chicks: The health and survival rate of the chicks depend heavily on the quality of food. Protein ensures that the chicks develop strong muscles and feathers.
Recovery and Preparation: Post-breeding, robins use protein to recover their strength. It helps them prepare for the next season or migration if they migrate.
By focusing on a high-protein diet during the breeding season, robins ensure they are in the best condition to raise and care for their young, securing the next generation's survival.
Seasonal Changes in Diet
The diet of American robins changes with the seasons. In spring and summer, they mainly eat insects and worms. This is because these foods are plentiful and easy to find. Robins are skilled at hunting worms, listening to them, and watching for them in the soil.
When fall arrives, the number of insects and worms decreases. This is when robins start eating more fruits and berries. These foods become their main source of nutrition. Berries and fruits are vital for robins in the colder months. They provide the necessary energy to stay warm.
Finding worms is tough in winter when the ground is often frozen. So, robins rely heavily on fruits and berries. They may even visit bird feeders for extra food. This adaptability to different food sources is key to their survival. It shows how robins are smart and resourceful birds.
By changing their diet with the seasons, robins ensure they always have something to eat. This adaptability is a great example of how animals survive in changing environments.
Seeds in Their Diet?
While American robins can eat seeds, there they have other food preferences. They usually prefer insects, worms, fruits, and berries. Seeds might be a part of their diet, but they're not a significant portion.
This varied diet helps robins to stay healthy and adapt to different environments. Their ability to eat different kinds of food depending on the season shows how versatile and resilient these birds are.
