Your werecreature au has been on my mind, so I figured I’d let you know that these guys have been fully developed! They were only really speculated about by me, but after that, I didn’t want to miss the chance of making some established characters in this universe. Enjoy!
⭐️The Rockstars⭐️
General Information
They were originally meant to serve as backups to more popular predecessors. Over time, as the other bands split off or dwindled, they finally became relevant.
Could they even call themselves a band? They were just a group of young weres in a desperate situation. They’d all claim they bonded against their wills, but they lie.
When each of them realized they were getting more than they signed up for, they all tried to run. Unfortunately, most didn’t find any hope of escape…
Some of their species may not line up with the famous characters they were meant to resemble. However, they are just similar enough to work.
Rockstar Freddy
Age: 19
Bitten at: 18
Species: Spectacled Bear
He was an ambitious young entrepreneur who was left broke and desperate when his ideas got rejected. Then he received an undeniable offer…
It looked like volunteering for a study on the surface, which was easy money in his book. Next thing he knew, he was a were, and had to adjust to his new life.
Despite being the youngest and least experienced, he is the self proclaimed leader of the band. The others really only let him have that title to make him feel better.
Rockstar Chica
Age: 30
Bitten at: 24
Species: Buff Brahma
When she was human, she was a ring girl in an underground fighting ring, but also served as the referee. She had taken down weres twice her size with ease for years.
Being bitten always had an appeal to her, as a way to take her MMA skills to the next level. The transformation only made her bigger, stronger, and deadlier.
She’s a kind soul, but that comes out as fierce protectiveness. If you mess with those she cares about, there’s very little besides death that can save you.
Rockstar Bonnie
Age: 27
Bitten at: 22
Species: Blacktailed Jackrabbit
He used to be the young underboss of a coveted criminal organization, until they convinced him to undergo a test to prove himself worthy, which left him like this.
While he loves his vintage music, the cheap guitars are also good for bashing in skulls. He is careless with these guitars, knowing his real gem is safely tucked in its case.
This is one of those people who believes he was born in the wrong decade. He’s a total Greaser style wise, and has the New Yorker accent to fit.
Rockstar Foxy
Age: 28
Bitten at: 25
Species: Maned Wolf
As a man, he was a drug dealer in the black market, known for his lax attitude and lack of affiliation. When he got roped into a bad deal, he met the same fate as the others.
He’s taught his green macaw named First Mate all sorts of tricks to steal, spy, and infiltrate. The two have never gotten caught, and are thick as thieves…literally.
Determined to keep following his own moral compass, he secretly goes against orders if they don’t align with his values. Nobody can tell him what to do.
Lefty
Age: 22
Bitten at: ???
Species: Sun Bear
They were bitten young, and tried to escape whenever they could. They ended up losing their right eye while transforming due to lack of access to medical care.
The moment they finally managed to get out after so many attempts, they didn’t look back…until they heard more people were falling victim to this scheme…
All they are to the rest of the band is a mysterious whispering voice on the other end of a phone. Shrouded in secrecy, they try to help from the outside.

Jack.
Probably a blacktailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus). Antelope jackrabbits (L. alleni) also occur here, but with so much cover, really how can you tell? All of my jackrabbit sightings are like this: a brief flash of movement, quick concealment in the grasses, and just a glimpse of those long ears.
In Cochise County, near Hereford, Arizona.

Contrary to popular belief, the growths on the head of the jackalope are not, in fact, antlers. These pseudo-antlers are actually calcified masses of nerve/synapyic tissue that make up an electrosensory organ in the forebrain. This organ is the key to their rarity amongst humans. As a prey animal, the jackalope is able to sense even the slightest of muscle contractions at extreme distances, which allows it an almost unparalleled advantage in avoiding predators.
Studying these creatures is difficult. Their burrows are nearly identical to that of the common blacktailed jackrabbit, and their electrosensory abilities allow them to tell if a burrow is being monitored. In fact, it even seems to be able to detect electronic equipment, study must be done without the aid of anything powered by batteries.
If one wishes to study these creatures, it must be done during large thunder or windstorms. I am unsure exactly how it disrupts their senses, but it drives the jackalope to hide in their burrows until the storm passes.
Be warned, if the animal is cornered it may attempt to stab it's captor with it's pseudo-antlers. The tissue is incredibly conductive and can discharge upwards of 70 volts. Which, while not deadly, can lead to seizures, muscle spasms, fainting, and short term memory loss.

Back when Angel was a child, about nine and before the end of the gang, Angel went out hunting with her uncle Charles. She begged to go hunting with him. It was the first snow year, while they were out hunting Charles found something. it was a mix of wolf and human prints in the snow. Charles was careful to fall the prints, it lead to a dead she-wolf. She been killed and skinned, and it made Charles made as hell. Angel had gotten off the horse to look around and found something, it was a wolf cub. The wolf cub was white with gold bands on it’s ankles, body and tail. Angel begged Charles to bring it back, not that the man had a choice. If they left the wolf behind it would die. It didn’t take much to convince Dutch, Hosea, and Arthur to let them keep the wolf. Charles figured that the wolf was three weeks old and a boy, and soon Angel named him frost. When frost got older he started to help Charles hunt and started to bring in fresh meat to help the gang.
Two weeks later while Jack, and Angel were playing on the edge of camp Jack found something. It was baby, blacktail jackrabbit. Jack took the baby bunny to Charles who treated it, he didn’t think the rabbit would live through the night. Shocker it did. Abigail and John let Jack keep the rabbit, and Jack named him cottontail.

TOP FACT: The Black-tailed Jackrabbit eats its own feces. 😂
After the first round of digestion, the jackrabbit eats its 'cecal' pellets. They pass through the jackrabbit’s digestive system a second time to produce “fecal” pellets. Known as coprophagy; this allows the jackrabbit to maximise nutrient and fluid intake in harsh climates. 🏆 What is a rather extreme fetish favoured by a select group of people 👭🍨, is an instinctive survival trait for some of our vertebral cousins.
Despite the name, jackrabbits are hares. The large ears thermoregulate, dissipating heat in hot climates. Jackrabbits are nocturnal, solitary, foragers found across the central and western deserts, prairies and scrublands of North America. Mating season falls between February and July, with females usually producing up to four litters of 4 to 6 'leverets' (babies) per year. If females aren't interested in mating with a particular male, they display "boxing" behaviour hitting the male with their front paws. No subtle hints or coy games here. 👏
Pregnancy lasts for +/- 6 weeks. 'Leverets' nurse for only 3 to 4 days, and are completely indendent by the time they're a month old. 🤔 They're born with their eyes open, and already covered with fur (like other hares). The mother seperates the young as a precaution against predators.
Jackrabbit populations are stable going through "boom-bust" cycles. Population crashes occur due to disease, and other environmental factors like food shortages. With their high vulnerability to infection and parasites, hunters tend to kill jackrabbits solely for sport and as a form of pest control.
Natural predators include hawks, eagles, bobcats, wolves and foxes. With almost 360° peripheral vision, acute hearing, and able to reach speeds of up to 64km/p.h. (40miles) jackrabbits are anything but easy prey.

Happy Easter to all you jackrabbits posing as bunnies. Just wanted to wish everybody who celebrates, a Happy Easter. I took this shot early one morning outside of Salt Lake City Utah in July 2013. I was hiking along a path by the great salt lake and came upon this critter. I stopped and he stopped and just kept staring at me waiting for me to take his picture. I believe this is a Blacktail Jackrabbit (Lepus Californians) and not a hare as its ears are about six or 7 inches long and black tipped. He’s also quite large. I especially like how the early morning sun shines through his long veined ears. #Jackrabbit #rabbit #rabbits #Easter #bunny #easterbunny #easterrabbit #rabbitsofinstagram #hare #utah #ut #SaltLakeCity #marcalter #marcfalter #Photographer #Photography #YourShotPhotographer #liphotogallery #fotofoto_gallery #wildlife #nature #animal #Wildlifephotography #wildlifeart #natgeo #natgeoyourshot #earthcapture (at Salt Lake City, Utah) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-5LyXUAUuv/?igshid=r99thudj80pk

The explorers not only produced maps from their 1804-1806 expedition to the American West, they also recorded some 122 animals new to science, including the grizzly bear, coyote, prairie dog and pronghorn sheep.
Meriwether Lewis and William Clark are known as trailblazing explorers of the American West, not pioneering scientists. But during their 8,000-mile journey from Missouri to the Pacific Ocean and back between 1804-1806, Lewis and Clark discovered 122 plant and animal species, including iconic American animals like the grizzly bear, coyote, prairie dog and pronghorn sheep.
When President Thomas Jefferson first charged his assistant Lewis with the mission of finding a passable river route to the Pacific, he included an assignment to “[observe] the animals of the country generally, & especially those not known in the U.S. the remains and accounts of any which may [be] deemed rare or extinct.”
Jefferson was especially enticed by fossils recovered of mastodons and a type of giant land sloth he dubbed the megalonyx (“big claw”). Unsure of what species the men would encounter in the wilds beyond Missouri, Lewis took crash courses in botany, zoology and specimen collection and preservation from the best scientific minds in Philadelphia.
Clark Describes a 'Village of Small Animals'
Lewis and Clark came upon prairie dogs in 1804 and described them as "little animals" that "make a whistling noise."
One of the most remarkable periods of the expedition (zoologically speaking) occurred between September 4 and September 24, 1804 during a 263-mile trek from the Niobrara River in Nebraska to the Teton River in modern-day Pierre, South Dakota. In a span of just over two weeks, Lewis and Clark encountered four classic Western animals for the first time: the prairie dog, pronghorn, coyote and the jack rabbit.
READ MORE: 10 Little-Known Facts About the Lewis and Clark Expedition
In his September 7, 1804 journal entry, Clark describes a “Village of Small animals” discovered in Boyd County, Nebraska. The men found a sloping hillside containing “great numbers of holes on top of which these little animals Set erect make a Whistling noise and whin alarmed Step into their hole.”
Anxious to capture a live specimen, the men tried digging down into the burrows, but after reaching a depth of six feet, they switched tactics and attempted to flush the critters out.
“They spent an entire day hauling buckets of water up from the Missouri River and dumping them down the holes,” says Jay Buckley, a history professor at Brigham Young University and author of several books on Lewis and Clark, and Western exploration. “Eventually they flushed one out, put it in a cage and sent it to Jefferson. Incredibly, it made the trip alive.
There was some disagreement over what to name the curious creatures. Lewis called them “barking squirrels” while Clark referred to them as “ground rats” or “burrowing squirrels.” It was Sergeant John Ordway, an Army volunteer, who first called them prairie dogs.
Lewis Marvels at a 'Jackass Rabbit'
A Blacktail jackrabbit. Lewis noted the rabbit with remarkable ears could leap 18 to 20 feet in a single bound.
On September 14, 1804, near Chamberlain, South Dakota, one of the men killed a large white hare whose long, donkey-like ears inspired the name “jackass rabbit,” later shortened to jack rabbit. In his journal, Lewis marveled at the jack rabbit’s flexible ears, which the animal could “dilate and throw… forward, or contract and fold... back at pleasure.” He observed the jack rabbit could leap 18 to 20 feet in a single bound.
On the very same day near the mouth of Ball Creek in South Dakota, Clark shot a “Buck Goat” of an intriguing species of deer. In his journal, Lewis described the striking animal as having forked horns or “prongs” and its “brains of the back of his head.” Consulting his eight-volume A New and Complete Dictionary of Arts and Sciences, published in 1764 by W. Owen, Lewis concluded that “he is more like the Antilope or Gazelle of Africa than any other Species of Goat.”
In fact, the pronghorn is neither goat, antelope or deer, and belongs to its own family, Antilocapridae. The pronghorn is also the fastest four-legged species in North America, reaching top sprinting speeds of 60 mph. Lewis and Clark stuffed two pronghorn, one male and one female, and shipped them back East to Jefferson.
The mournful wails and yelps of coyotes followed Lewis and Clark to the Pacific and back, but the team shot and identified the first of this new species on September 18, 1804 near Chamberlain, South Dakota, and Clark called it a “Prairie Wolff.”
“I killed a Prairie Wolff, about the size of a gray fox, bushy tail head and ears like a Wolf, Some fur burrows in the ground and barks like a Small Dog,” wrote Clark.
Grizzlies, Rattlesnakes, Bison Nearly Killed the Explorers
An illustration from Lewis and Clark's journal of the Corps of Discovery, 'American having struck a Bear but not killed him escapes into a tree.'
Not all of Lewis and Clark’s animal encounters were so calm and collected.
“One of my favorite moments is when Lewis is all alone at the Great Falls in Montana,” says Buckley. “In a 24-hour period, he’s nearly bitten by a rattlesnake, attacked by a wolverine, charged by a bison and eaten by a grizzly bear. That night, in his journal he says, ‘The entire animal kingdom has conspired against me!’”
As for grizzlies, Lewis and Clark were skeptical at first of the native Mandan and Hidatsa’s accounts of “white bears” weighing over 1,000 pounds, and the explorers scoffed at the war paint and other “supersticious rights” the Indians performed before setting out to hunt the mythical beasts.
But later, while traversing Montana, Lewis and Clark became believers. In his trademark creative spelling, Lewis described “a most tremendious looking anamal, and extreemly hard to kill notwithstanding he had five balls through his lungs and five others in various parts… and made the most tremendous roaring from the moment he was shot.”
When Lewis had his close call with a grizzly in Great Falls, he described a massive bear chasing him “open mouthed and full speed” into the river. With nowhere to run, Lewis spun around to face the grizzly armed only with his spear-headed “espontoon.” To his great relief, the animal retreated.
“So it was, and I feelt myself not a little gratifyed that he had declined the combat,” wrote Lewis.
Despite the great care taken by Lewis and Clark to collect specimens and include detailed descriptions and measurements of plants and animals in their journals, the men never achieved scientific fame in their lifetimes. After their triumphant return in 1806, Lewis planned to write a three-volume account of their expedition with an entire volume dedicated “exclusively to scientific research, and principally to the natural history of those hitherto unknown regions.”
But Lewis, overburdened in his new post as governor of Louisiana, died suddenly in 1809, and when the expedition journals were finally published in 1814, the editors left out almost all of the zoological and scientific reports. It wasn’t until 1893 that a new edition of the journals was published by naturalist Elliott Coues, who correctly credited Lewis and Clark as scientific trailblazers as well as daring American explorers.

Quantum computer learns to ‘see’ trees

Quantum computer learns to ‘see’ trees
Scientists have trained a quantum PC to recognize timber. That may not seem like a large deal, but the end result method that researchers are a step toward using such computers for complicated machine gaining knowledge of problems like pattern popularity and PC vision.
The crew used a D-Wave 2X computer, a sophisticated version from the Burnaby, Canada–based totally corporation that created the sector’s first quantum PC in 2007. Traditional computer systems can already use sophisticated algorithms to recognize styles in pix, but it takes lots of memory and processor power. That is because classical computer systems save facts in binary bits–eithera a zero or a 1. Quantum computers, in contrast, run on a subatomic stage the usage of quantum bits (or qubits) which can constitute a zero and a 1 at the same time. A processor using qubits could theoretically remedy troubles exponentially more quickly than a conventional laptop for a small set of specialized problems. The character of quantum computing and the restrictions of programming qubits has meant that complicated problems like computer vision have been off-limits till now.
In the new have a look at, physicist Edward Boyda of St. the Mary’s University of California in Moraga and co-workers fed masses of NASA satellite tv for pic pix of California into the D-Wave 2X processor, which contains 1152 qubits. The researchers asked the computer to don’t forget dozens of functions—hue, saturation, even light reflectance—to decide whether or not clumps of pixels were trees in place of roads, homes, or rivers. They then told the PC whether or not its classifications have been proper or incorrect so that the computer ought to research from its mistakes, tweaking the system it makes use of to determine whether or not something is a tree.
Mesquite Trees in Arizona
Mesquite Bushes belong in Arizona. As Jay Sharp, editor and creator for the website DesertUSA.Com, expresses, “the mesquites symbolize our Southwestern deserts” as tons as “the Coyote, the Blacktail Jackrabbit, the Western Diamondback, scorpions, the Saguaro and prickly pear cacti.” Certainly, mesquite Trees in Arizona are “as blended into the lifestyles of the land as cornbread and tortillas.” (Lometa)
Perfectly Tailored to the Wasteland
Mesquites are very hardy Desert Trees, having Tailored over the centuries to existence within the Barren region landscapes in and around Arizona. All of their physical characteristics ensure their survival right here, consisting of their foliage, their bean pods, and their root structures. They develop properly in full solar and high temperatures, but may even tolerate the cold throughout Arizona’s wintry weather (right down to 0º Fahrenheit). They are sometimes found in as a substitute high elevation and could adapt to shallow rocky soils. According to reports by means of the U. S. Department of Agriculture and Wooded area Provider, a mesquite tree can stay for greater than two centuries. (Sharp)
Mesquite Timber in Arizona can continue to exist in regions that acquire little or no rainfall due to their expansive root device. The lateral roots of a mesquite tree reach out in many instances further than its canopy. In addition, they have very deep faucet roots that can dig for a drink as deep as one hundred seventy-five ft underneath ground degree, even though an intensity of fifty toes is extra regular. So, they concurrently have to get entry to water both on the very top and backside layers of the soil.
The tiny waxy leaflets of mesquite Timber maintain valuable moisture by way of minimizing the moisture misplaced thru transpiration. They’re deciduous Bushes, that means they offer excellent color at some point in the summer time, however, drop their leaves and allow the sunshine through at some stage in the wintry weather for warmth. all through the severe drought, they may diminish transpiration even in addition by in advance losing their leaves.
The mesquite tree is a member of the legume own family (loved ones of beans and peas), which makes it in particular Adapted to an arid environment. Mesquite Timber has the potential to fertilize themselves and surrounding flora thru a symbiotic dating with colonies of soil microorganism. The microorganism that inhibits mesquite tree roots convert or “restore” atmospheric nitrogen, making to be had inside the soil this mineral this is vital for the growth and germination of flora. Many gardeners make use of this identical manner to complement soil via planting nitrogen-fixing cover crops. (Sharp, Schalau)
Mesquite Bushes in Arizona are amazingly prolific. Their beans, encased in shielding pods, are very durable. In truth, “A seed left undisturbed in its pod can live possible for up to 40 years.” (Clayton) Animals play an essential function within the scarification of the seeds (needed for germination) and dispersal through fecal count.
Areas Of Misuse Of Computers And The Internet – Pc Misuse Act You need to already be acquainted with information [data: information without context, for example, a list of students with serial numbers, is data. When these figures represent the placement in a 100-meter race, the data becomes an information] and Pc misuse [the data stored electronically is easier to access]; with software program [software: a general term used to describe an application or program], which might not be reproduced without permission. The outcomes result in software program piracy [piracy: the acquisition, benefit from the use or making changes to copyright material without prior permission]; and hacking, and may result in records corruption; accidental or planned.
Sorts of Pc Misuses
Misuse of Computer systems and conversation may be in specific forms:
Hacking is whilst an unauthorized character uses a community [Network: A group of interconnected computers]and a web modem [modem: a piece of hardware that connects the computer to the Internet] to get admission to safety passwords or different protection of information stored on some other Laptop. Hackers occasionally use software program hacking tools and often target a few websites at the Net. Their exploitation isn’t always only restrained to non-public networks but additionally to authorities and company Laptop networks.
Misuse of facts and unauthorized transfer or reproduction
Copying and illegally moving records fast and easily online using Computers and huge storage devices such as tough disk drives [HDD: a device used to store large volumes of data, on a hard disk], reminiscence sticks [memory stick: a thumb-sized portable storage device mainly used for transferring files between computers] and DVDs [Digital Versatile Disc- used to store data, for example, a film]. Personal facts, agency research and written work, such as novels and textbooks can not be reproduced without permission of the copyright holder.
Copying and distribution of copyright software, song, and film
This additionally applies to the copying of music and movies to circulate at the Net without the copyrights [copyright: Indicates the creator of an original piece of work and controller of the publication, distribution, and adaptation] authorization holder. That is a big misuse of each Computer and the Net that overlooks the copyrights policies and policies.
Winning The Lottery – The Quantum Jump
Sure, I’ve received the lottery – Two times. And no, I do not play lotto the manner ninety-nine% of the population plays. Possibly equally critical is the fact that very few months cross by means of without me having as a minimum a small win of some kind.
But first, a dose of realism. These wins have been over a length of 6 years – so manifestly we do not win each week. Everybody who promises you the secret to Prevailing lotto every week is peddling snake oil – no ifs, no buts. What’s viable is a regular small win of $20-$a hundred, plus a lotto method technique that significantly boosts your probabilities of Prevailing the huge one. So what will we do this is specific?
Organize The Lotto Numbers
We Organize the lotto numbers – in place of try to Select the numbers. That is the Quantum Soar that has dramatically “advanced our good fortune.” In spite of over a 100 hundred years of proof that no possible Pick out the 6 Winning lotto numbers, most gamers retain with an approach that has in no way worked!
Making sure you have got all 6 Triumphing lotto numbers is rather easy – Play All of the lottery numbers! no longer rocket science, But it’ll get greater complex. At its handiest, gambling the subsequent multiple entries in any 49-number, Select-6 lottery Guarantees you have got All the Prevailing lotto numbers someplace to your standard access: As you’ll see later, we do not suggest gambling like this – it is supplied for simplicity, so you can see the idea. Later, we will show you a miles better technique.
Your big objection is probably that there are TEN numbers, not six. Once more, part of our lotto strategy, and in this article, we show you two approaches to applying for 10-wide variety entries.
Suit Your Outlay to the Lotto Jackpot
A reality maximum lotto gamers pass over – The value of gambling and the odds of Winning are the identical – whether you are playing for $1 Million or $100 Million. At $1 million, I’d be gambling alone, with a $30-$50 outlay handiest. At $a hundred Million, I might nevertheless be playing with a $30-$50 outlay But might be a part of with 19 others in order that our collective stake is $six hundred – $1,000. No-one will pay more money than they could manage to pay for – However, through pooling our efforts, we will Arrange a larger, smarter entry.
Lottery Structures
Because the cost of gambling lotto differs around the world, this must be a common evaluation. Remember the fact that 10-variety lotto entry? Nicely, at a character degree, we want a “reduce-charge” manner to play. A “complete” Lotto gadget 10 requires you to play 210 video games (that is how many 6-variety combos there are in 10 numbers).
