it’s the end of the week but I have nothing interesting to say apart from recommendation of my newest obsession which is drama called Welcome to Samdalri 🥰 super cute also perfect for little crying 👌
I’m planning to finally rewatch Bon Voyage 4 because I absolutely love the soft energy it radiates 💛 this and In The Soop 1 are definitely my comfort bangtan shows and I could watch them every few weeks! Do you have that kind of content that you like to watch more than the rest?
How are you? I hope you’re relaxing and doing just fun things! 💛🌻
Hi Julia 💕💕
First of all, I saw you saying in the tags of a post that you're injured? I hope you're doing better now and that it's nothing serious <3
I'm definitely adding this series to my list of kdramas to watch!! I'm quite new to watching them, but I'm currently watching Our Beloved Summer with my sister and we are enjoying it 😌😌
I actually haven't watched BV 4 yet at all! Maybe I'll also start it this week and then we can talk about it when we're done 🥺🥺 Both seasons of In the Soop are comfort watches for me too, some Run BTS episodes as well and then Kook's lives, although I haven't rewatched any of his lives since he left because I think they'll make me miss him even more honestly.
I have just been relaxing and not doing anything basically. And yet the time is passing so quickly! Which sadly seems to be the case for my days off always 😔 I started a new book called House of Leaves and it's supposed to be really weird, so I'm excited lol. I also have a few things to do with friends that I'm looking forward to this week which I'll report on next time!
I hope you have a lovely week and that BV 4 brings you all the comfort and joy that you need 💞💞💞

Am I the only one who’s not really enjoying chapter 2 so far? I feel a tad guilty for saying it but apart from Jimin’s album, none of the solo work we’ve seen so far has really made it for me 😕 Objectivity I found Indigo really good but I realize I never really reach for it. Face has been the only album I’ve listened to loads of times. I like Layover, but I know it won’t be to the point of listening it again and again. I was a bit sad because I was excited for Jungkook’s album but I really don’t like Seven at all. I miss Jin and Hobi’s humour and energy. I guess I’m much more a BTS fan as a group rather than the members separately. Jimin is my bias, I have a soft spot for him, but I would still choose the band as a whole over him as a soloist. I feel a bit bad for saying it.. I hate the way the fandom is right now, all the competitiveness, and oftentimes I catch myself thinking I want this chapter to be over so we can get the band together again. I just want to see them live at least once, as I became a fan at the beginning of 2020 and as I live in Europe I didn’t have the opportunity to see them. I’m also bored about how they tend to focus so heavily on the US market now..of course I understand why, but still, it’s annoying. I don’t know if there’s anyone who feel the same? I just want the solo area to come to an end.. sorry for the rant, I know I’m being selfish but I’m getting bored with this area😫
I understand where you're coming from. I miss BTS like crazy. Nothing tops how much fun they are together and how their love for each other is a balm to the soul. I miss them dropping music and their performances. I miss the excitement of a BTS comeback. It's really not the same with them solo. Nothing is as exciting, everything is rushed, and we have no time to even anticipate or feel excited about new music dropping because it happens too often.
Indigo is a great album but I haven't listened to it much either, V's debut was my least favorite in many ways, I didn't like JITB as a whole, I didn't care about Face either. I like Seven but I've many, many complaints about it, and am feeling very apprehensive about JK's next single and debut album. I would've been happier if I had more performances to look forward to. When BTS have a comeback, they perform their title track so much that we get tired of it. But Hobi and Suga were the only ones who performed more than a handful of times, and doing a tour isn't the same as having performances uploaded to BANGTANTV every week. I miss group performances, Bangtan Bombs, Run BTS, the random promotional videos for Chuseok or whatever, Bon Voyage, Winter and Summer packages, ITS, etc. Photoshoots and variety shows aren't the same, I don't care for them... I miss the excitement of waking up and seeing them all at a certain event or at the airport. Nothing is as fun with only one of the members, and I know they're all looking forward to 2025 as well!
It's insane that it feels like BTS was an hallucination. Before 2021 the idea of the members not being seven was just fucking crazy, but now BTS don't even feel like a group anymore. I can't even imagine them together now. You're definitely not the only one who prefers them as a group. Most Armys do. It's okay to be bored by their solo ventures. It is what it is. It's not selfish. You're allowed to not like the way things turned out. I'm sure you're not blaming BTS and that you understand their current situation.
Also, I've no plans to seem them live. I know it won't happen and I'm more afraid of having the opportunity than not. If they go to Spain, for example, it will be relatively simple for me to see them live so I will feel pressured to buy tickets, but it's so fucking complicated to do so. Plus, there's traveling, the waiting at the venue, and all the stress that goes with it. If I don't get tickets, I'll be sad, and if I do, I'll be nervous that the experience won't live up to my expectations. I honestly prefer it that I've never had to worry about missing a chance to see them live because it's never come up. But I also get your pov haha. I hope you get to see them at least once!
Thanks for the ask!

How does Lorelai react to Kirsty getting into Yale and also not even knowing she applied?
Ooof it does not go well
let me set the scene — buckle in folks we’re in for a bumpy ride!
a little bit of pre-knowledge, Kirsty has managed to get away with not talking about university at all by saying that she doesn’t want to jinx anything, then Lorelai always makes a joke about broadway changing her, and Kirsty quickly changes the subject with fun stories about her time in Cats, so seriously no one knows where she wants to go or what she wants to do but they all assume it’ll be dance!
So Kirsty applies for early action and gets accepted the day before Thanksgiving in season 3!  At this point, Jess is the only person in Stars Hollow who knows she even applied because he’s her best friend and like lowkey her brother and all summer he had to hear her stressing out over applications (luke might know too, I’m undecided) — Tristan of course knows too and calls him as soon as she gets accepted and he’s so proud of her I love them a lot okay
So she gets in and she immediately tells Jess and he’s of course so so excited for her it’s very sweet!  Fast forward to the next day, the day of the four thanksgivings — with some help from Jess she manages to get Luke away from the table to tell him and he’s so proud of her too and it’s all very sweet again!  Then she tells Miss Patty but tells her that Lorelai doesn’t know yet, so Miss Patty spreads the word around town once they go to Hartford!
At the Gilmores, Kirsty doesn’t initially say anything but when Rory and Lorelai get into the big fight about Rory applying to Yale, Kirsty decides to just bite the bullet and tells everyone the news!  The guests are like congratulatory and all because it’s Yale but they’re very confused about all the Gilmore drama; meanwhile Richard and Emily are like so completely over the moon it’s kind of adorable — they never knew that she was interested in Yale but Kirsty tells Richard that it was growing up seeing pictures of his Yale days in his office and hearing the stories that went with them (their bonding thing, while Rory’s was always books) that first sparked her interest but it’s been her dream for as long as Harvard has been Rory’s!  Richard is so excited to tell everyone at the club because Kirsty golfs with him every week and everyone has become very fond of her, and Emily can’t wait to brag to the DAR!
Rory is really happy for her but a bit hurt that Kirsty never told her she was interested in Yale, or in the Ivys at all, but she does also get why, to some extent!  Things are a bit awkward and iffy between them for the rest of the evening but that night Rory goes to Kirsty’s room for a sleepover and they talk and things are good again!
Lorelai, on the other hand, reacts as dramatically and immaturely as you can expect — throws a fit, screams a lot, blames her parents, talks about honesty and betrayal and really just makes it all about herself and can’t spare even a moment to be happy for Kirsty for getting into her dream school (and one of the hardest schools in the country to get into, at that)
I’m undecided on whether Tristan had been at the dinner or not but either they leave together immediately after or she calls him to pick her up, and they end up spending the rest of the night at his place watching movies and cuddling and looking at Yale course catalogues until it gets late and Tristan drives her home, which is when Rory comes to talk to her and they have their sleepover and it’ v cute
but then the next day, Kirsty wakes up early because Tristan is coming down to hang out with she and Jess (somehow they became friends over the summer and even they don’t understand it, it’s going to be great) and she wants to fill Jess in beforehand — all he knows is that she left him a message saying “told mom, you can imagine how that went” — except when she heads out she finds them both waiting on the doorstep and they’re heading towards the diner only for Kirsty to find basically the entire town in the square with a huge “congratulations Kirsty” sign (think bon voyage rory) and finds out that Miss Patty told everyone and since Kirsty had mentioned that she wasn’t sure how Lorelai would take the news, the entire town came together after thanksgiving dinners to put this entire party together for her
Rory is already there because Jess had filled her in the night before, and Lorelai shows up eventually and is like really shocked by it all but it does make her realize that she was a major jerk about something that’s actually really amazing and exciting and she does apologize to Kirsty!

Amira’s Vanished Hustle, Perceptions of Missed Opportunities, and What Everyone Should Consider About the Story So Far
[deep dive under the cut]
Some messages I got over the weekend were along the lines of: “No Damira again on Friday whew you must be heartbroken huh?” But, y’all, I wasn’t surprised. And to be completely honest, my reaction on Friday was very different from the ones I saw in the tag. Yeah, I was super happy for the adorable Amira and I was also side-eying the glaring absence of Carlos’s besties at his own housewarming -- but my main thought after the clip was: “LOL OH SHIT HERE WE GO.” Because in my mind Friday was an ENORMOUS RED FLAG that the only substantial thing left to do in Amira’s story arc is the cute Bon Voyage party to send her off on her dream trip. Even before this big POV shift happened, Druck hadn’t given us any reason to expect much more than that in her remaining plot, and I’ll elaborate on that here.
I don’t wanna jump to the conclusion that Druck can’t possibly stick the landing, because hey, they might! We have no clear idea what will happen between now and the final goodbye party, so maybe good things are coming that will subvert all of our worst imaginings! But I feel like this is a hinge point in the season to do a little reassessing of expectations... and to come clean about one big reason why I’ve mostly spoken superficially about this season up until now.
The very first red flag, for me, was when I realized Druck was planning to basically pretend Amira never had a job. That oversight might not seem like a big deal to most, and it’s not like her job was the first thing Druck ever made disappear unceremoniously (remember when Leonie and Sara had other close girl friends? lol) but to me it was a signal that my expectations for Amira’s story (based on her previous strong characterization) had maybe been too high. And I immediately felt a bit cheated.
Amira was already so fleshed out coming into her season. She was demanding, quick-witted, and nurturing. She was fiercely protective of her friends, and even more fiercely ambitious, with a willingness to work harder than anyone to get ahead in life. She was sunny but tough-shelled, with a well-established resistance to trusting any men. And, loving her as much as I do, I felt strongly that she deserved to have plenty of brand new story elements that reflected all those things. To have her own story shaped around her, rather than she herself being reshaped to fit Sana’s story.
But then it was finally her turn to shine, in a Summer season, when it would make perfect sense for her to be on a job grind to earn cash for her trip, and... she’s not working? Huh? She managed to work all through a tough school year, but not her free summer vacation? Why? Because of Druck’s low budget? Because they lacked cohesion in the writing process? Some combination of the two? Yikes. Who knows. But suddenly, nonsensically, they had flushed away the perfect framing to showcase her work ethic, her daily perseverance, and her varied interactions (good and bad) with lots of strange customers around Berlin.
It felt like a bad omen to me somehow. Which wasn’t a great mindset to start the season with. And that was the beginning of me trying very, very hard not to be confused and salty about every little thing I began to perceive as missed opportunities to give Amira a new kind of substance in her story.
For example: While David, Matteo, and Sam began having fun off-screen, working on an bold alien movie, Amira inexplicably had no involvement. She kinda scoffed at the idea when it came up on-screen, then immediately lost interest in the conversation because her man was texting. Fair enough, right? That scene was moving her story forward while generously giving a little shoutout to the meta insta storyline, right? The problem is: the off-screen story ended up seeming much more interesting than watching Amira chilling on her own texting a bunch, and we weren’t even given a reason for her to not be part of it after the whole crew was invited to join in. Imagine if we had followed her onto a shitty little makeshift movie set and seen her reacting to the chaos and strangeness of it. Imagine her finding a resourceful solution to a production hiccup or mediating a creative disagreement while trying to hide her own inner turmoil from her friends. And imagine her having an extremely important conversation with David (and/or Matteo and/or Sam) about the film’s deeper themes of alienation and otherness that they can both sadly relate to.
That’s just one weirdly specific scenario, but there are sooo many other ways I fantasized about Amira bonding with her friends (particularly the ones who aren’t cishet white kids or brand new characters). Talking with one or more of them about what it means to be dangerously marginalized, or to be afraid of letting someone get close to you, or to feel torn in two different directions in life. Maybe something like that could still happen before the season ends, but I’m not counting on it. And I think the time has passed for it to have the biggest impact. It could’ve been amazing (and really narratively useful!) if it happened before the resolution of Amira’s brief conflicts with Kiki, Erva, and Mohammed. We saw a lot of scenes with her looking angry and sad, but we weren’t really privy to much of her thought process during all that reflection, so it felt uncomfortably unearned when problems she once saw as insurmountable were shortly waved aside. I would’ve really appreciated even a short conversation with some good change-of-heart exposition.
And while other people were cheering about all the controversial Sana season conflicts being blessedly truncated or completely stripped away, the whole time I couldn’t stop thinking: “Okay, awesome, but what are they gonna replace that storyline with? Nothing?” And, for the most part, that seemed to be true.
But the problem clearly wasn’t limited to a shortage of well-integrated story threads with Amira at their center. It was arguably also a failure to capitalize on the stories they did use. Instead of getting to watch the emotional fight with her mother about punching someone, and witnessing Amira faced with the threat of losing Australia, we only heard about the drama afterward. Just like we only heard about her family’s religious holiday together. Just like we only got a few texts between Amira and Jonas about the refugee event. And just like how, as I sat typing this, Amira’s mother re-blessed the trip off-screen. On and on goes the list of examples of this unfortunate tell-don’t-show approach, and I’m sure a lot of it can be attributed to low budget and tricky cast scheduling, but the time limit excuse probably doesn’t apply if Amira’s main plot really has been efficiently pared down to 7 episodes.
Don’t get me wrong, I want to reserve final judgment on the season until the credits roll, and there are plenty of good things to say about it in the meantime. Yes, it’s been lovely to see so many gorgeous shots of Tua praying, and boxing, and expressing everything from attraction to anguish to helpless rage. Yes, she and Hassan both did some really strong work selling the magnetic pull between their characters, even in the face of (what I consider to be) an underdeveloped narrative that didn’t totally sell me on the relationship overall. Yes, it was wonderful to have some aesthetically pleasing scenes of the girl squad loving and supporting each other, even if they mostly talked about boys the way Amira hoped they wouldn’t. And obviously just having a story about a strong, kind, devoted hijabi girl is vitally important visibility. So I really haven’t wanted to say anything negative in the face of all that...
... but now I have to say: if you’re feeling cheated and mad about the POV shift, then take some time to consider what else specifically you think should’ve happened to Amira before we entered this resolution phase of her story. It seemed like most people were perfectly happy for her to not face any complex conflict, and not have any lingering hardship to dramatically and triumphantly overcome. Every obstacle getting a relatively swift and easy solution felt underbaked to me, but it was a big relief and source of praise for most people in the tags right up until Amira disappeared from clips. So: in hindsight, how would you have added not just length, but also more compelling drama and greater social impact to her story, so that the extra length felt well-used? It’s really worth thinking and talking about that, even if you’re hesitant to voice any criticism of Amira’s part of the story (even after the season ends, and even if it’s totally constructive) -- because thinking and talking about it is how we’ll get that kind of richer, fuller story in the future.

The rising sun beams fresh morning glow through the blinds, flooding the room with strips of ambient light. The smell of salt and humidity already in the air. A breeze gently caressing your skin from the fan above you. A mist of sweat already covering your nude body, partially covered by crisp white linen.
A stirring in the room alerts you to someone awake and wandering around the bedroom, a glass placed on the bedside table as he’s watching the dawn, raising the blinds to let in the morning light. You rise in the bed, wrapping your body in sheet to admire the view before you. Stood next to the open glass doors, his profile is illuminated by the sun like his body is causing an eclipse in the light. His prominent features, his shape as well as a few stray strands of his wavy hair standing out against the backdrop of blue sea and sky.
Tae spots you watching him from the corner of his eye and smiles at you, walking back towards the bed, leaving the doors to your private villa open. The slightly cooler air is pleasant as it gently breezes into the room, prickling your skin with goosebumps in its wake.
The sheet still just wrapped around the essentials of your body as he saunters towards you, a smirk slowly spreading across his face as he becomes mischievous. You throw the sheet over yourself, covering you entirely from his view although you can see light breaking through the thread-count, illuminating your skin in soft light.
You feel a dip, hearing him chuckle as he lifts the sheet at the foot of the bed. Peering down you see him beaming a grin at you before it turns into something darker. His hands on your calves stroking back and forth in circular motions, his lips bitten as he watches you enjoy his touch. Nervous giggles mix with whimpers as his lips touch your skin, starting at your ankle pressing softly as he moves up your body.
Your eyes roll close. His lips so light on your misted skin that it’s tantalising. He reaches the top of your thighs, working his way across the sensitive skin under your navel. Tae’s laying himself between your legs as he continues north, still peppering slow sensuous kisses in the valley of your breasts before meeting your collarbone.
His hair tickling your neck and your parted lips as your breath hitches. You feel him resting himself on his elbows, his hands brushing back your hair, your eyes still closed enjoying every little piece of attention he’s paying you. His kisses have stopped but your senses are still heightened. There’s a slight movement on the bed, but nothing you’re alarmed about.
“Jagi?” he softly whispers on an out breath.
Opening your eyes, he’s mere inches away. Dark chocolate orbs looking loving at you as a smile spreads across his face. His hair dropping forward as he leans closer, kissing your forehead first, before pressing one on each of your cheeks, then meeting your lips.
His kiss is soft but tender, slow but inviting, making you eager to deepen it. You melt into this kiss, his body pressed against yours but still resting on his elbows until you feel a cold icy chill drip on your chest. Your kiss stopped as he’s watching your expression.
An ice cube dropped into the valley of your breasts, slowly sliding down towards your navel as you writhe under him, the movements making the ice cube snake in slow motion. You’re sucking air at the chill, he’s blinking slowly as he watches the ice cube glide across your heated skin before he slides to meet it.
Tae’s tongue collects the chilled water trail while the ice continues to melt in your navel. The cold and warm conflicts but the sensation’s got you shuddering beneath him. You’re watching him intently as his tongue swaps for his lips as he takes the ice cube in his mouth, all the liquid collected with it.
Your eyes catch his. A devilish glint sparkles as he shows you the cube between his teeth. His glance and face conflicted as the cube drips down his chin, the corner of his mouth pulling into a smirk. His dark eyes flitting between your face and between your legs like he’s trying to decide, although he already knows; which lips he’s going to tease... with an icy kiss.

Wedding in Japan 2 - Chap 16
Chapter 16

Wayhem stood together with Adrien on the other side of the main station at the bus port holding on his back a small backpack while Wayhem was looking on his smartphone at an email, which was a seat reservation he ordered a short while ago.
“We just have to let the driver scan our QR codes to confirm our boarding and that’s all” Wayhem mentioned. “You won’t need to stove your bag in the luggage compartment, just I have to put my suitcase,”
“I can’t still believe you gave up your ride just to not let me go alone,”
“I just want to make sure, you make it home safe and sound” Wayhem answered patting the blonde on the shoulder. “And a good thing for us will be, we have each other’s company and can talk with each other, so our time in the coach won’t be as boring as when going alone,”
“Yes, 13 hours shouldn't be a problem. Those 7 days I was with Kagami on the train, those space of times we were bored as heck…..That was a problem. We still talked a lot and visited different cabins to pass the time during those days, but it wasn’t something we were used to do,”
“Yes,” Wayhem agreed. “Have you managed to talk with Kagami yesterday?
“No” Adrien answered. “But you know, who answered the call?”
“No, who?”
“My cousin Felix” Adrien answered. “You know the one, who’s quite similar looking to me,”
“Why did he attend your call?”
“I don’t know. He just told me Kagami’s fine he would take care of her and also whatever he’s doing isn’t personal, it was a job. That’s what’s making me worried about not being present right now. What kind of job is that and what has it to do with Kagami?,”
“No idea, but someone should put an eye on him” Wayhem mentioned. “Hey what about your best friend Nino?”
“I’ve sent him a message, but he hasn’t answered yet” Adrien answered.
“He will call you back, don’t worry” Wayhem assured making Adrien nod. Wayhem checked the time on his smartphone, then he gazed at Adrien picking his suitcase. “Come, let’s look for our coach,” Wayhem said walking on the sidewalk in front of the parking spots of the coaches passing by a few parked vehicles, which had in front of their parking spot a display announcing the destination of the parked coaches in front of it.
“Oh I always wanted to go to Amsterdam” Wayhem mentioned passing by an empty parking spot, where they had passed by.
“Well, when you save every month a bit of money you could just take this company to head to the Netherlands. If the comfort is good enough for you”
“I will have to see the ride” Wayhem pointed out. “I believe I can take the Startrain there. It will only be around 3 hours I think,”
“That works too” Adrien answered, then both stopped as they read on the 12th spot the capital of France on the display and a few people putting their luggage in the double decker’s compartment.
“Oh, hopefully, I can sit on the front row at the top” Wayhem commented.
“Go ahead, I will try to call Nino again,” Adrien told earning a nod from the tan-skinned man, which moved forward to the luggage compartment to hand out his suitcase.
Adrien picked up his smartphone to look for Nino’s phone number, while on it he passed over Kagami’s phone number and thought about Felix having attended her smartphone and pressed on her phone number to call her to see if he could reach her instead.
“The selected phone number is currently unavailable. Please try again later,” “Okay, maybe you are available,” Adrien said sliding down at Nino’s phone number then pressed the phone symbol to call the Moroccan man and his phone call was answered immediately. “Great, I have reached you,”
“Hey dude, how are you doing? Are you finally coming home?”
“Yes, we’re boarding a coach right now. About 13 hours we will be there” Adrien answered. “Wayhem decided to come along with me, so I wouldn’t be alone or in case something goes wrong,”
“A good dude he is” Nino commented. “Have you informed Kagami about your whereabouts?”
“Not yet. It’s the third time I call her and it’s not available,” Adrien answered. “But the only time my call was answered Felix attended.
“What did he say?”
“He said Kagami was fine and he would take care of her and he isn’t doing this, because of being personal, it was his job. I feel like he’s trying to ruin my image to Kagami,”
“I was yesterday in their house and you….erm I mean I thought it was you first, cause he wore your clothes and looked just like you and mentioned, that Felix was kidnapped and you were worried about him. I mentioned, that you told me you were in Hamburg and he countered with saying it was a location’s name on a French road and your parents bought it. Kagami was a little confused and unsure if you were traumatized by what happened to Felix,” “He’s repeating that same scene he did years ago on the anniversary of my mother’s disappearance! Nino can you make sure Kagami finds out, that that’s Felix, who you two are dealing with or at least make sure he doesn’t hurt her in any way?”
“I inform Alya about it and we both have our eyes on her like two lions on their lion cub,” Nino promised.
“You’re the best Nino,”
“Oh and before you leave or anything. Just for you to be informed. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but I thought you should know this. Your cousin yesterday gave Kagami a small slap behind her rump without her commiseration. She jumped. She didn’t like it the way he did or I don’t even know if you do that kind of things,”
“He did what?!??.......This…..this…..grrrr…..jerk” Adrien snarled angry at his cousin’s deed. “Thanks for telling me that and please keep your eyes very good on her or what Felix wants to do,”
“I will” Nino answered. “If I have to force him away from her, I will,”
“Or try to find out a way to show everyone, that they have Felix in front of them and not me,”
“Good, I will look for a way to help them distinguish him from you. I will keep you informed,”
“Thank you. In 13 hours more or less I will be back in Paris and I will immediately head towards my parents' house and surround him,”
“Sure, see you tomorrow and bon voyage!”
“Thank you” Adrien responded and placed his phone back and entered into the bus entering into the second level of the bus to encounter Wayhem sitting on the first row next to a blonde woman in a short blue summer dress.
“Hey, you’ve found Aurore” Adrien mentioned earning a nod from the blonde man.
“Wayhem just told me, he’s helping you back home,” Aurore spoke earning a nod from Adrien.
“Thank god” The former model responded. “If I haven’t come across him, I would probably be around the city trying to find my way out of here,”
“I was surprised to encounter him here” Wayhem mentioned. “But at least I could help him out of trouble,”
“Yes and I’m very thankful for that” Adrien said moving to the second row to sit behind them. “I will be here,”
“For real?” Wayhem asked looking back at the blonde, which winked at Wayhem, which rolled his eyes at Aurore, which was looking through her smartphone for songs to play.
“You got this boy,” Adrien said making Wayhem shrug his shoulder and sit back down, then Adrien leaned back on his seat, then remembered to pick out his smartphone and searched for his wife’s phone number to try calling her again.
“The selected phone number is currently unavailable. Please try again later,”
Adrien sighed and opened the message box and typed down a message to his wife. “Hey Kagami, it’s me Adrien Agreste. I don’t know if you received my last messages, but I need you to know, that I’m on my way back home and I was framed, then landed in Germany without any money and debit card. Thanks to Wayhem, I’m finally heading home back to you. Please this is all a misunderstanding, I need to talk to you as soon as possible. XXX Your silly kitty,”
Adrien leaned back on the seat sighing about not having managed to talk to Kagami to explain, what happened.
Felix sat in Gabriel’s office watching him printing out a sketch of a dress he finished designing on his computer.
“I found before in Adrien’s bedroom images of the superheroine Ladybug. Did he have a crush on her?”
“I don’t know” Gabriel answered. “I know a lot of young men in the past were really fond of her,”
“I remember he used to have in his smartphone’s gallery images of her. A lot of images of her,”
“If you’re thinking about getting Ladybug to play with you for the images to send to Kagami, I don’t think you’ll ever find out, who she is,”
“I know, I’m still thinking about, what to do in the future” Felix explained. “What I noticed is, Kagami doesn’t seem to believe that I’m Adrien. I gotta work more on myself to gain her trust so that I can stab her in the back without any problem,”
“Alright, but be careful. If she finds out it’s you, our plan has failed,”
“I’m doing my best, don’t worry” Felix assured, then walked out of the office to encounter Kagami entering the mansion carrying her barrel bag. “Good evening darling. How was your day?” Felix asked walking towards the blue-haired woman.
“Good” Kagami answered. “And yours?”
“Fine too” Felix responded. “Shall I take your bag up?”
“No it’s fine” Kagami responded. “I need to take a shower,”
“Go ahead” Felix responded giving Kagami a kiss on her cheek, then he watched her walk the stairs up, then Felix smiled believing Kagami didn’t seem to mind his kiss. “This went well” Felix mumbled watching the woman disappear into the corridor, then he walked back at the door and got out of the house and he encountered on the exit of the plot Nino, which was about to ring on the door, then Felix whistled to call Nino’s attention. Nino smiled, then watched Felix come down to him.
“Hello, my friend” Felix greeted. “How are you?”
“Hey…..Felix” Nino greeted making Felix wide his eyes confused.
“What are you talking about?” Felix asked. “I’m Adrien,”
“No, you’re not” Nino responded. “The real Adrien talked with me before and the other day,”
“You talked to me, brother” Felix lied making Nino chuckle and take his phone out to show Felix Adrien’s phone number. “I can’t answer the call with my phone on the inside” Felix tried to trick out the Moroccan man, which pressed the call button, soon Adrien attended it.
“Nino, did anything happen?” Adrien asked making Felix frown and grab the smartphone off Nino’s hands to throw it across the road towards a house causing it to break.
“Are you fucking kidding me??!?” Nino shouted at Felix’s deed.
“Stay away from me. Do you think everyone here will believe your story?” Felix questioned watching Nino glare in anger at the blonde. “Get out of here,”
“You’re going to pay for this, don’t worry. As soon as Kagami finds out, who you really are, you’re screwed up,”
“I don’t think so. She’s beginning to realize I’m Adrien and as soon as I earned her trust…..” Felix finished and walked back into the house, then Nino grabbed on the bars of the door at the road and began to shake on them harshly.
“Get back here!” Nino hissed watching the blonde disappear into the mansion. Nino cried out annoyed and crossed the road to pick up his smartphone. “Adrien I hope you’ll be here soon. This guy is going too far with this shit” Nino spoke to himself and made his way out of the street of the Agreste family.

Hypothesis: Jikook/Kookmin Timeline
In this post I am going to try and write down a KM timeline based on the material available to us and guesswork to connect it. I agree with a lot of other supporters in many aspects and therefore this won’t be too different from anything you’ve read before, except for some minor details perhaps. None of this should be taken as truth as it is simply a hypothesis from my perspective and mostly for me to collect my thoughts by writing it down. Basing your own opinion on various sources of information, views of people with different perspectives and also being prepared to let what you believe be challenged is a healthy way of going about this I think. We can guess, discuss and make hypotheses but not claim any truth unless it comes from KM themselves. But let’s celebrate the love we do see.
Here we go!
2013/2014:
I won’t go into too much detail here as I agree with most other KM supporters and I don’t really feel the need to chip in on the rediculous dislike trope that was created back then and still gets mentioned today. What we can see in material from around this time is a very nervous JK not knowing how to react to JM wanting to spread love and give the maknae love, sometimes in very extra ways. When I use the word extra it’s not with a negative connotation at all but simply a way to describe how JM sometimes showed love to JK in very out-there ways and how he reacted to it.
If JK had developed a crush on or feelings for JM his reactions, that look like rejection, make a lot of sense to me but was probably confusing for the latter sometimes as we have some reason to believe that the maknae acted a bit differently at the dorm. I don’t know if JM simply saw JK as a younger brother at this point and tried to ease his nervousness with more love or if he too struggled with how to express his feelings and it came out rather enthusiastically. This whole period feels careful, confusing and experimental to me.
Tumblr media
2015:
In footage from the beginning of the year we can see a JK that is a bit less nervous as well as a less extra JM. What implemented this change could be numerous things. In an interview (around 19:10) in May JM is asked why he likes the maknae so much. His answer deflects a bit from his previous enthusiastic ones and this time he simply implies that “he is cute because he is the maknae” while JK looks very interested in knowing the answer. What happens after is also interesting. The reason behind the younger showing less nervousness and dropping his guard a bit during this time could be the fact that he was starting to become more relaxed around his hyungs and perhaps more comfortable with his own feelings. JM’s actions however are usually a lot more difficult to read.
Around the summer of 2015 I, like many others, believe that there was a change in KM’s dynamics. Some speculate that this switch occurred around the time JM had an accident/fainted at a fan meeting in Japan and I can definitely see that being a possibility. The less nervous JK, who sometimes even responded to JM showing him love, that we begin to see this year was perhaps driven to be more straight forward with how he felt because of this event. He may have vocalized it or something else could’ve happened that made it undeniable. I have also explored the thought of JM’s feelings not being parallel with JK’s at first and truly just seeing him as a younger brother to dote on (in his flirty ways) and as I mentioned previously he can be difficult to read. They met six years ago which is a lot of time for feelings to evolve and that evolution doesn’t have to be linear, or parallel I should say. Nothing is simply black or white.
However, I think it’s safe to say that there is an apparent difference in how KM act with each other if we compare the first half of 2015 to the second half. It’s particularly obvious on JK’s part I would say as he is suddenly initiating a lot more of the moments between them, be it back hugs or what could be considered flirting. This moment (0:30 and onwards) from the end of August happened right after this switch I think. JK’s stare is very deliberate and he doesn’t flinch or avert his gaze as JM looks back at him. JM’s face says even more. At first he has a more serious or surprised look on his face and when he smiles it’s not a goofy smile but an affectionate one before they both snap out of it.
The rest of the year contains a different type of flirty banter and comfortable skinship compared to what we can find in earlier years. Just to give you a few more examples of often mentioned KM moments from this “year of change” we have the Christmas Live with HopeJiKook, this vlog from MAMA and JK being rather upset when someone thinks he doesn’t like JM in this Live from Thailand (he also seems to want everyone to hear him tell JM how pretty his eyes are). Since these are only a few of the more popular moments please feel free to leave an ask if anything else around this time, or any time on the timeline, caught your eye that you want to discuss.
So, one of my guesses would be that some type of confessions or expressions of feelings/attraction took place this year. This was three years ago so the question I have, and they might have had, would be: what’s next?
Tumblr media
2016:
This is where it gets difficult for me to even make guesses. I have a hard time connecting certain things and I’m gonna try and explain why.
If we imagine that KM confessed to having feelings for each other in 2015 then naturally the next step would be to get into a relationship or start dating, right? Well, maybe for most people it is but I don’t agree with that. I’m not going to use the word “dating” on my blog as that is something that’s not really used where I come from and I’m a bit wary of the definition. But that’s not my main point.
The thing is, since I am quite new here I am still not too familiar with the idol industry, how management works, economics, scandals, dating culture, enlistment, you name it. And even if I was, what BTS is doing has never been done before. What they are going through together is unimaginable and no matter how much some try to analyze every moment and every second captured on camera we only get to see what they choose to share with us. I am beyond grateful for everything the choose to share with us. They are going through this together but they are also individuals with layers. From my perspective, the communication we have seen between the members and what they have shown us of themselves makes me think of the lyrics in “Sea” but I am going to switch around the words. Where there is despair, there is hope.
Do I believe that a same-sex relationship in this unimaginable situation is impossible? No, I do not. But we have to consider what this would mean and the problem for me is that it’s hard to imagine what would happen behind the scenes. However, this healthy communication is partially what’s giving me hope just as I mentioned above. Now we have to include BigHit in this. Say and believe what you want about what’s going on right now but I would like to believe that there is care between the company and the members. Especially care about their health but they also care enough to recommend LGBTQ+ MVs to their artists and have NJ going from describing love “between a man and a woman” to “between a person and a person”. Even if that was a personal choice I don’t think it’s a reach to believe that these matters have been and are being discussed within the company.
So how would KM be approached by the members and the company? I really don’t know, but I am going to try and make a guess. Let’s say that the rest of the members and also the company/Bang PD were made aware of what was happening between KM as it happened. I believe that the care they have for them would result in the wish to protect but also wanting to see them loved and happy. Perhaps 2016 was the year of trying to see how they can do both but also for JM and JK to explore their feelings with each other, what they want, what works for them, what would be healthy/safe for everyone involved in this situation and what makes them happy. Apart from this I would guess that boundaries and agreements were set to make sure that KM could explore safely.
I can imagine that this is why it’s hard to connect and analyze a lot of the moments from this year. Uncertainty, caution, tension and love all mixed up in a big blender that was this year. I’m going to finish of 2016 by mentioning some popular moments that all have a mix of these. The flirty epilogue Live, the “I’ll be your future boyfriend”, nuances in Bon Voyage season 1, Run episode 12, JM and SJ reacting to JK and this JinJiKook Live. The last two have the common factor of JM complaining about JK acting differently towards him or not coming to him when he asks. These occur in two different halves of the year and could simply be teasing or something more significant. This along with all the other lovely KM moments of 2016 are the reasons I remain confused as reasons far from any guesses I could make are possible.
Tumblr media
2017:
Now last year was a lot in many ways. After the confusion of 2016 I am still confused but there is also this new sense of slight clarity or intention perhaps. If I were to make another guess I could imagine that in the beginning of the year they might have been certain about what they want after some time of trial and error. Imaginably they decided that they do want to be in an established romantic relationship. Or simply say that this is me, this is him and this is us. Around this time we have Bon Voyage season 2, Summer Package and also Burn the Stage which are all filled with moments I would love to discuss. I also want to mention here that the love I see in JM rushing to and staying with JK as he fell ill is so very powerful and beautiful regardless of relationship definitions.
I found my way here around one month after the release of G.C.F in Tokyo so I missed all of the reactions and discussions that stemmed from the initial release but the talent JK possesses can’t be praised enough. The way he is able to convey how he sees the world, his world, and the people he loves is astounding. I might make a post about G.C.F in the future but I don’t know if I have anything new to add that hasn’t already been said. Some see G.C.F in Tokyo as a definite coming out and others as more of a “letting people in a bit more” which would be my first guess. But since I can’t ask JK directly about the details, and people will interpret art differently, I will for now just enjoy his work and his adoration still seeps through the screen by the way it’s edited with the song.
I tried finding some words similar to domestic to try and explain what I see in KM moments from 2017. I couldn’t find something that resonated with me completely but loving, attentive and inevitable come close. That inevitability has been visible for a while but is quite prominent in Memories of 2017, Burn the Stage and when they travel for example. Some people seem to believe that KM, the members as well as BigHit are all in on slowly exposing the world to KM and that this began last year. That they expected a different reaction from the first G.C.F. I don’t know how I feel about some big elaborate master plan but them deciding to partially share more might not be a complete reach. They haven’t stopped talking about that trip to Tokyo and I believe that could be them emphasizing on and wanting to share how much it truly meant to them. That attentiveness and inevitability feels even more evident as we enter the Love Yourself era towards the end of 2017 and even more so after that wonderful trip.
Tumblr media
2018:
The first half of this year was quiet but we know now that it was a very hard and bewildering time for the members with both rest and exceedingly hard work behind the scenes. This was my first comeback and my vocabulary really isn’t good enough to describe that experience. KM-wise I was honestly quite taken aback and wanted to know if what was happening felt different to anyone else or if I was simply not used to the content. Most seemed to agree that this was a new level of KM and truthfully there are too many moments to list. Something I want to emphasize on is that it’s not just about what we call “moments” but how that inevitability I mentioned previously is more apparent than ever. The casual intimacy combined with the tension filled moments.
Some like to speculate what the future might hold but I’m going to end this timeline in the present. We have no idea what a same-sex relationship between two idols would be like let alone the personal situation of KM. If they indeed are in a romantic relationship they do not owe us to share anything what so ever and if they would ever want to I don’t believe we can predict the timeline of that event or what would follow after. For now I hope they are healthy, safe, loved and in control of whatever they want to do or share.
Tumblr media
Before I end this I want to make it very clear again that this timeline is simply a hypothesis based on a pattern I see as one possibility. Even though this post is very long I still only included a fraction of what could be discussed and we still only have access to a fraction of their lives which makes respectful guessing all we have. This is me trying to connect the lovely moments we do get to see and filling in the gaps by guessing, which could be very far from the truth or not. No matter how KM’s relationship has evolved into what it is now, what I want to celebrate here is the love, care and respect I see between them in the moments that are shared with us.

BTS In the Soop is Coming Back For Season 2
https://ift.tt/3xWK3hZ
ARMY has been clamoring for a second season of BTS In the Soop pretty much since Season 1 finished airing in October 2020. Because the pandemic has kept BTS from touring, the Korean band has had to get creative with their content and how they interact with ARMY. Enter BTS In the Soop, a delightful reality show that saw the seven members take a break from their regular work schedule to pursue hobbies at a lake-side cabin. If you’ve never watched any of BTS’ many web series and are curious about the biggest band in the world, In the Soop is a great option to get to know RM, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, V, and Jimin.
Prior to the pandemic, BTS had released one season of their travel reality show Bon Voyage every year since 2016. The most recent season, Season 4, was released in 2019. While In the Soop is not technically a travel show, as it saw the members stay within South Korea, it does have a similar premise: Season 1 saw BTS travel away from Seoul to a leisure location, highlighting the same “just some friends, hanging out” vibes as Bon Voyage (albeit with more of an emphasis on rest and relaxation). In this way, In the Soop was the Bon Voyage of 2020. As the COVID-19 pandemic has continued to limit what is safely possible when it comes to work and travel, ARMY had already begun to speculate about the possibility of BTS In the Soop Season 2. Now, it’s confirmed! The official In the Soop accounts made this glorious announcement earlier today…

BTS In the Soop Season 2 Release Date
All we know officially so far is that In the Soop will premiere in October, but it’s a safe bet to expect BTS In the Soop Season 2 in the first half of the month. In 2020, HYBE officially announced the arrival of In the Soop roughly three weeks before the premiere. If they follow a similar pre-broadcast marketing schedule, then BTS In the Soop should premiere in early October. If Season 2 consists of eight episodes, as Season 1 did, that means that Season 2 will wrap up before the holiday season. Seventeen In the Soop is currently in the middle of its eight-week season, and is slated to wrap up its regular episodes by September 28th and it’s behind-the-scenes extras by October 12th. BTS In the Soop Season 2 could launch following either of those dates.
BTS In the Soop Season 2: Where to Watch
Presumably, In the Soop Season 2 will continue a similar model as Season 1, which means international viewers can legally watch the episodes via purchase on the Weverse Shop. Season 1 was broadcast on Korean network JTBC, with an extended version of the episode becoming available for those who had purchased the entire season the following day. Additionally, those who bought the season on Weverse had access to a behind-the-scene extra for every episode. Season 1 of BTS In the Soop is currently available for purchase via Weverse Shop. After purchasing, you can access the content via the Weverse platform on either mobile or PC.
How Much is BTS In the Soop Season 2?
BTS In the Soop Season 1 is currently available for $27.99 for the entire season. Presumably, Season 2 will be around the same price. In order to buy In the Soop, you need to download and set up an account on the Weverse Shop app, which is the official store for BTS merch.

In the Soop Season 2 Clues
Hopeful speculation that there would be a second season of BTS In the Soop was already circulating within online ARMY communities (see relevant prayer circles), but the flames were fanned by a few recent social media posts. First, the official BTS account tweeted two Namjoon-centric messages that gave off In the Soop vibes…

Then, the official In the Soop accounts posted an animation in which a character sits by a campfire roasting marshmallows as BTS’ “Zero O’Clock” plays in the background. A location sign with both the BTS and In the Soop logos stand next to him. The accompanying caption reads: “On days when you are tired and tired for no reason, At 12 o’clock at night, the world seems to hold its breath. Our own forest to rest for a while.”

Come November and the air is crisp, the lights have started sparkling, hot chocolates are a chocolatier, everybody is buying gifts and all is red and we are getting ready for our old man Mr Santa. Well in all this excitement we decided to visit in November and with our 5-year-old daughter who was visiting NYC for the first time. The sight of the fall season with its colourful trees was a perfect welcome we were looking forward too.
This trip was a completely new experience as this was my daughter’s first international trip and we were worried about meals, sleep, weather and of course jet lag.
Our trip started with a direct flight from Delhi to NYC on Air India, which lands early in the morning NYC time. You get a full day to reach your hotel and settle in for the crazy vacation ahead. It took us around 1.5 hrs to reach Manhattan from the airport.
As we were not travelling outside New York, so our base for the whole trip was Hotel Pennsylvania. The location is just perfect, it is 10 min from Time Square, 15 min from central park and 5th Avenue. With 24hr restaurants near the hotel, food is never a problem, especially when you are jet lagged. The most amazing Penn Station, which is across the street. Most of the Hop on Hop off tours are being sold outside the hotel gate, you can choose from a couple of operators.
First things first … you are going to walk a lot so a Stroller is a must. Either get one with you or you can buy it in NYC. We bought it from a Kmart store 5 min from our hotel. And I can’t tell you how useful and convenient it was. Next is a 7-day unlimited subway pass, which will save you loads of money and time. Ohanna used to sleep by 6 in the evening and we used to cover her with a blanket and take her everywhere we went. I came back super fit after the trip, with all the walking and pushing around the stroller. When visiting USA kids might take 2-4 days to get over Jet lag. So keep the first few days travel plans light keeping in mind the sleep patterns and the exhaustion.
The first day itself we went to Times Square in the evening. It was really sad to see that the Toy store had closed down, but none the less there was a lot to do. After clicking loads of pics we went into M&M store right around the corner. It is really huge and fun for both adults and kids. You can get all kinds of M&M toys, clothes, mugs and accessories. Don’t forget the free instant photo booth.
A Broadway with your kids is a must. You can buy last minute discounted tickets from TKT located at Times square for some the most amazing Broadway shows like Lion King, School of rock, etc. We saw Mary Poppins and it was in a very vintage looking theatre with beautiful balconies and interiors.
Bronx Zoo
• It is by far the best and the biggest zoo I’ve ever been to. You can buy discounted tickets from their site or at the gate itself. In summers it is highly recommended that you do it online to save time standing in the queue, also it is free on Wednesdays. A very sturdy stroller can be hired at the entry gate for kids; I did and would really recommend it. Day is full of surprises, fun and lot’s of learning for kids and adults alike, with exhibits like sea lion feeding, birds of paradise, flamingos, polar bear, Siberian tiger, African lions, giraffes, penguins, African safari, train in summers, 3D show, bugs carousel and a huge canteen-cafe with good food and very nice coffee.
Staten Island Ferry
It is free and perfect for watching Statue of Liberty and later catching up with old friends. By evening we were exhausted and came back early, but not before spending time at Time square. You will go crazy with the 10000 plus eating joints in the city with a huge variety of cuisines to choose from. Try new places every day.
Central Park
We were extremely lucky with a beautiful sunny day to spend in the central park. The bright sun, fall colours on trees and the fresh crisp air are all we needed to make it perfect. Grabbed a quick bite and we were at one end of the park. Your kids will love the play areas they have built; they are so safe and full of interesting swings and obstacles. Next was the ice skating rink, it was super tiring and so much fun, It’s a must. Soaked the sun and started our long walk in the park going over and under bridges, crossing ponds big and small, statues, various courts and much more. The place was brimming with people running, exercising, cycling, walking their dogs or generally chilling on the lovely green benches. It has a small zoo too if you don’t get time to visit the Bronx.
Coney Island
Being winters we had to give it a pass as luna park was closed and the aquarium was under renovation. But summers you definitely can’t miss it.
Shopping at 5th Avenue and exploring the village- Soho-
On one hand, 5th avenue has huge stores on both side and on the other hand in Village you can find small boutique and designer stores and few of the most interesting restaurants and cafes in Nyc. Check Out High Line park built on an abandoned raised metro line.
Disney on Ice Show:
We found out about the Disney on Ice show in the time out the magazine for kids and were lucky to get tickets for it. Had to take the train to Newark for the magic show with all of the Disney characters. Got late coming back that day and experienced flurries, as it was really cold that day. It was a very special experience

Here’s what you’ll discover:
How to plan your high-performance holiday properly
Mark Ford’s 4-Hour Workday Solution for Work-Holidays
How to pack for fewer problems
My proven formula for beating Jet Lag when you travel to Europe
Jet lag can be a major nuisance. You might have been able to push through it 10 or 20 years ago—possibly using a “young person” approach—but no longer.
“When I first became a professional traveler,” writes Andrew Harper, the famed reviewer of luxury hotels, “I dealt with jet lag the old-fashioned way, which is to say that I drank a few Old Fashioneds (or the equivalent) on the plane, popped a mild sedative, and knocked myself out for most of the flight.”
As we age, however, Harper admits that jet lag becomes harder to avoid. He no longer goes about it the old-fashioned way; “new age” preparation is now his go-to method for avoiding the loss of a few days of travel to exhaustion.
I’m with Harper. And while the secrets I’m about to share for defeating jet lag are not all that sexy, they work. So no more excuses about hampered productivity on work trips abroad or vacation days lost to bad travel prep.
Use these 7 tips and you’ll be set the moment you get off the plane.
1. Don’t order booze on your flight
It’s far more memorable to enjoy a nightcap in Bar Hemingway at the Hotel Ritz in Paris than on American Airlines flight 44 from NYC to Charles De Gaulle.
Even if it’s a special occasion, like an anniversary trip, save the bubbly for when you get to the hotel—not for runway revelry.
To be clear: Don’t just “limit” your alcohol intake on the flight. You must strictly avoid it. While alcohol might help you fall asleep on the plane, the quality of that sleep is not good and it certainly won’t help you navigate international customs upon arrival.
Stick to water or juice.
2. Pause the caffeine
One essential rule of good sleep hygiene is to stop caffeine intake 10 hours before bed. That’s the average length of time your body needs to metabolize the drug’s effect (and yes, caffeine is a drug). If you drink a cup of coffee or energy drink too close to bedtime, it becomes difficult to fall asleep, stay asleep, and get deep, restful sleep.
So no coffee midair, okay? You can get back on coffee time as soon as you see daylight (or land) from the airplane windows. But until it becomes “morning” on your journey, stick to water, juice, and herbal tea only.
3. Sleep through it
Every summer, I attend the SovereignAcademy.org event in Lithuania. It’s four days of teaching young entrepreneurs and trying to keep up with their partying at night (I fail miserably here). It’s an amazing weekend and I need to be well-rested for it, so I look forward to getting a decent night’s sleep on the flight from Toronto to Vilnius.
As soon as the plane takes off, I set my watch to Lithuania time, the eyeshades go on, earplugs go in, the seat reclines, and I tell the attendants not to wake me. While six hours of sleep through turbulence and the clanging cutlery of meal service don’t make for the best night’s rest, it’s better than eating a late dinner, watching a movie, and napping for two hours.
Now I know a lot of people struggle to sleep on planes, but here are a couple of tips that might help:
  a) Sleep like a local
Dr. M. Rizwan Sohail of the Mayo Clinic offers this advice: “If you’re traveling east, go to bed one hour earlier each night for a few days before you leave. If you’re traveling west, go to bed an hour later for several nights. Adjust your meal schedule accordingly, too. And make sure you’re well-rested before you go because starting a trip with too little sleep will make jet lag worse.”
  b) Choose flight times wisely
Put an early bird like me on an 8 p.m. flight to Europe and I’m sleeping like a baby in 30 minutes (assuming we have an on-time departure).
If you’re a night owl, take the latest flight out so it’s as easy as possible for you to get some shut-eye. That means you’ll arrive (in Europe) closer to noon, and that also makes it easier for you to stay up and adjust to a local bedtime on your first night.
  c) Choose your plane wisely
Older planes were not built for jet lag-fighting flyers. The cabin air is dry and the pressure is not the same as what we experience on land. As a result, the environment leaves us tired, even if we manage to sleep overnight.
However, the Airbus 350 and Boing 787 Dreamliner were engineered to “pump the highest pressure, which actually makes conditions on the plane feel more like those found on the ground,” according to the website Boarding Area. “They also offer higher humidity, which does less damage to your ears, nose, and throat—which helps prevents fatigue. New planes also filter air in safer ways, offering actual air, rather than engine air.”
4. Stay awake when you land
Don’t try to cram in a visit to EuroDisney, a trip up the Eiffel Tower, and a five-star meal at Le Cirque on day one in Paris. Instead, here’s what to do…
“The cheapest and least complicated way to tackle jet lag,” says Dr. Sohail, “is to force yourself to stay awake when it’s daytime wherever you land, then end the day tuckered out, so you’ll sleep most of the night.”
After you get to your destination, avoid the temptation to “just lie down for a minute” on your comfy hotel room bed. Instead, put on your walking shoes and get outside to take in some culture (hopefully in sunshine).
“Exposure to bright light when you arrive at your destination can help your body adjust its circadian rhythm to your new schedule,” says Dr. Sohail. “For example, if you travel east, exposure to sunlight or other bright light in the morning can help you adapt. If you travel west, seek out light in the evening.”
Still struggling? Change your state. Have a cold shower. Take a plunge in the pool. Hit the gym. Get a vigorous massage in the spa. Do anything but lie down for a quick nap in the middle of the day.
Lastly, Andrew Harper recommends self-administered acupressure. I’m no expert on this, but you can read more here
5. Eat like a local
Finally, some good news! When you land, it’s time to start eating like a local and adjusting to a regular mealtime as soon as you can. It’ll be all the more enjoyable to have a simple meal at a café in Paris after skipping out on the so-called “gourmet” airline food
6. If all else fails, stick it out.
Roll with it. Do your best to grind it out until 7 pm local time. Then crash. Sleep like a baby. Wake up at 6 am and dominate your first “real” day abroad.
But if you do give in to an afternoon nap and then find yourself struggling to sleep like a local on your first night, Dr. Sohail recommends over-the-counter sleep aids such as Tylenol PM or Advil PM. “Taking a relatively low dose of melatonin (0.5 milligrams) has also been shown to be effective,” he adds.
The most important lesson is to delay your gratification. Avoid the cheap temptations during your journey and it will make every meal and moment far more enjoyable when you reach your destination.
P.S. If you have any tips you’d like to add, I’d love to hear them in the comments below. Bon, voyage!

American Shithole #20 — Vacations, Part One: Camping Is For Masochists
By Eric Wilson
This is as good a week as any to introduce my series on vacationing: American style. The president has been overseas; leaving rotten chum in his filthy wake for allies and enemies alike. At least he gave us all a break here domestically from our daily mouthful, I suppose.
My good friend and housemate just returned from two weeks in Iceland, Scandinavia, Europe and Russia, while I have been dog sitting on what was supposed to be a staycation for me (it wasn’t) — providing more than enough material for future articles on the topic.
Part Two of this series is a piece I wrote before American Shithole. It was to be my first feature for Literate Ape; one in which I found myself on a miserable LA weekend getaway for an Eric Clapton show. Unfortunately, the night before I submitted my draft some asshole murdered 58 people at an outdoor concert just down the street from where I live, and I didn’t feel it was an appropriate time to share that story.
In fact, I slid into a funk that week, and I hardly interacted with anyone for  a while. A few months later Trump called Haiti and unspecified African nations “shithole” countries, my inner fury was rekindled, and American Shithole was born.
So I will be returning periodically to this series that never got off the ground. It was always my intention to write a few pieces on the American vacation. I know it's a boon for comedy. Holiday travel is a goldmine for humor in general; in my case, even more so because I truly suck at vacationing, and terrible things always happen.
Staycations — if I am to judge them by the last two weeks — have me faring only slightly better.
The good news is: things are looking up, baby! This was my least disastrous vacation (okay, staycation) yet, even though I slept fitfully, had only a very limited amount of fun, and as expected, terrible things still happened (even though I stayed at home), I still feel like it was a success. More on this later.
If you’re wondering how it’s possible that a mostly unpleasant staycation was my best vacation ever, it’s because my experience with vacations includes heavy hitters like suicide, sickness, hurricanes and other natural disasters, being thrown off a bridge embankment — and camping, which I’m sorry outdoor aficionados, but camping is just the worst.
I am convinced that folks that choose to go camping over a plethora of other vacation destinations — sunny beaches, moonlit resorts, islands with sexy people, places with people of any kind, coordinates that include a nearby lavatory, locations that aren't teeming with wildlife looking to eat you, etc.  — those people are fucking closeted masochists. Here is how many times you should go camping in your life: one-half of one time. You should attempt to sleep on rocks, in a damp tent, with a wet blanket, soaked shoes — like some sort of cold burrito for bears — hungry, exhausted and homesick, just one-half of once. Then pack up in the middle of the night, drive home, and never look back.
In my lifetime I have been camping roughly a score of times. That’s twenty, millennials. (Well why didn’t you just say twenty then, fuckface?)
While I cherish the time with my father (an avid, well-respected angler and outdoorsman), and I do genuinely love the remoteness and beauty of the wilderness, I have camped nineteen and one-half times too many in this life.
I assume I have never taken to vacationing as an adult, at least in part due to my experiences on vacations as a kid; which were at times awful. Or perhaps just some of it was traumatic, and that is all that I remember.
On one of the first camping trips I can recall I was eight years old, and while we were in the Grand Tetons the mother of my best friend at the time committed suicide. She shot herself while her son and I were camping together. I'm still haunted by that quiet drive home. I can’t imagine being my father and having to tell a child his mother was gone. I can’t possibly fathom what that was like for my friend.
That event set the tone for every subsequent camping trip over the next forty years.
I have been on trips that didn’t involve camping; although only a handful. I have taken one cruise back in the nineties — we were hit by a hurricane. The captain made a late decision to turn the ship around and head back to LA, missing our ports of call, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and Cabo San Lucas. Half the ship was throwing up for hours as the swells throttled that behemoth vessel like it was a tug boat in a bathtub with a fat, unruly toddler.
I have never forgotten the generous 25% discount offered by Carnival on our next Carnival cruise adventure, as compensation. Thank you Carnival Cruise Lines, I will never stop telling people of your boundless generosity — I hope you don’t mind that I roll my fucking eyes every time that I do.
On my next vacation (other than sporadic wilderness treks whereupon I fall into rivers, catch zero trout, or get bitten by nasty critters) I spent a month in Belgium, France and Spain during the summer of 2001. I picked up a lung infection on the flight over that dogged me the entire trip. I also fell asleep shirtless on the beaches of Biarritz, after not running with the bulls in Pamplona — probably one of the few smart moves I made. I got drunker than my normal drunkenness to ease the pain of my scorched backside, and somehow managed to offend a tiny British woman; who subsequently shoved me off a bridge.
Besides a brief sojourn in Dublin shortly after 9/11, I haven’t been back to Europe since — or anywhere else of note for that matter. Except camping of course, I have heartily not enjoyed plenty of camping.
I was also taken to Disney World by my mom as a young lad. I cried on the roller coaster, so she took me on the Tea Cups. I cried on the Tea Cups.
I found out much later in life that my vacations — the majority of which involved camping, I think I’ve mentioned already — were not the vacations my friends from later on in life enjoyed when they were kids. The key word here is enjoyed.
They traveled to exotic places that offered not only luxuries such as food and lodging, but culture and entertainment.
I stared at trees.
My European friends seem to have it all sorted as well. They enjoy paid holiday at least twice a year for as long as they can remember — to wonderful destinations all over the world. Yes, that European socialism sounds like a real nightmare.
Yet, before this bit of light entertainment is taken as some sort of whingeing by my friends at home and abroad, I would like to mention that I am very thankful to have had any holiday trips at all — as I know millions have never been afforded a single vacation in their entire lives.
Except camping, but I have made the case that camping doesn’t count.
We can all agree, right? That camping doesn’t count?
It’s not a vacation if what you are doing is indistinguishable from survival training. Preparing for the coming apocalypse by eating baked beans straight out of a can is not a vacation.
That being said, I have a feeling staycations are the vacations I will look forward to in the future, until it is time that I shuffle off this mortal coil. I am fine with that, although wary that the comedic arc of my creative endeavors will suffer. Granted, this staycation over the last few weeks was rough — and I will get to that story someday soon — but at least I was home.
I don’t know what it is about travel, but I never seem to enjoy myself the way it seems everyone else does on vacation. How about you, dear reader, are your holidays all they're cracked up to be?
On a more somber note, I watched a lot of Parts Unknown this past weekend — I imagine quite a few of us did — and I would like to take a moment to honor one of humanity’s great travelers, Anthony Bourdain. I looked up to Anthony. He had suffered, he was honest, he had integrity. I had always hoped that one day I would be able to call him my friend. As a writer, entertainer, culinary master and cultural ambassador for the world, he was peerless.
Bon voyage, Mr. Bourdain — you will be missed.
B.S. Report
Two of the families of the Parkland student activists were Swatted last week. If you don’t know what Swatting is, that’s when someone calls in a phony emergency — usually involving imminent danger — whereby a SWAT team is deployed to an unsuspecting household, in hopes that they will shoot innocent people accidentally.
So yeah, that’s what conservative gun-loving fuckheads would wish upon the surviving family members that dared to stand up to the NRA. Trump’s base truly is a festering hive of dickless cowards, with no sense of compassion or empathy, and nothing but shit for brains.

Zach Scheidt, Travel Agent? Plus, Your 5 Must-Knows For Monday!
This post Zach Scheidt, Travel Agent? Plus, Your 5 Must-Knows For Monday! appeared first on Daily Reckoning.
Do you want to enjoy the finest bottle of Chianti under a Mediterranean sunset?
What about play 18 holes at St. Andrews in the foothills of Scotland?
Or maybe you’re one for history, and a luxury tour through the side streets of Rome is on your bucket list.
Today I’m going to show you how to get there…
Personally, I’d like to take the family island hopping through the Greek islands — where the turquoise water accents the colorful homes that blanket the cliffs.
Sources Left to Right: Taste Tours, Golf Scotland, We Heart It
Whatever your dream European vacation may entail, I’m suggesting you book now.
Because, according to Money Magazine, the flights to these once incredibly expensive European vacations are now more affordable than ever!
Seriously. Right now you can save up to $603 on an all-inclusive Paris vacation.1 And you can spend 4 nights in Rome, including airfare, hotels, transfers, and breakfast for $861.2
Year over year the discounts are nothing short of fantastic.
But have you thought about WHY these European vacations are so cheap? They haven’t always been like this. I remember not too long ago when these same trips would have cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars more.
It all comes back to Wall Street.
The REAL Reason Your Vacation Is Cheaper
The Euro has been under attack recently.
The downtrend started in 2014 with a “perfect storm” type scenario:
The U.S. dollar surged on the heels of strong GDP growth and increasing jobs data. This prompted the Fed to forecast interest rate hikes — a bullish scenario for the USD.
In contrast, the EU economy has been stagnant and unemployment has remained high since the 2008 financial crisis. And at the same time the U.S. Fed was debating raising rates, the European Central Bank is still trying to spur growth.
Throw on top the whole Greek Bailout scenario and this was a nightmare case for the Euro, hence the 21% decline against the dollar. (And in case you’re wondering, the British Pound is also down some 20% against the dollar since 2015!)
So what does this mean for your dream European vacation?
Let me explain.
In April 2014, if you went on a European vacation and a one-night hotel stay cost €200. At the time, that means you spent $276 (with Euro/USD rate at 1.38.)
But today, with the Euro/USD rate at 1.09, that same €200 hotel room would only cost $218 (200 x 1.09).
Same hotel. Same location. At a 21% discount!
Bottle of wine? 1-day boat cruise to the Isle of Capri? A tour of the Vatican? A trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower?
For Americans it’s all 21% off! Now do you understand why your vacation is now all of a sudden so inexpensive?
That’s the beauty of finance. Everything that happens in the world, no matter how big or small will impact the markets in some way. In this case it’s like the butterfly effect… for currencies!
And as an informed investor, understanding these correlations will help you to better take advantage of these cost-saving opportunities.
But you know that I’m not here to sell vacation packages…
I’m here to give you the tools to grow and protect your wealth. And while saving $58 on a hotel room is great, there’s a better way to benefit from this low exchange rate environment — no passport required!
Europe Is On Sale — But Not Forever…
There are a select group of companies that benefit most from this strong dollar/weak euro environment.
I’m talking about the European companies that also sell goods in the United States.
These companies benefit just like the hotel situation above, but in reverse.
Here’s an example:
Let’s take Volkswagen, a European-based company, and say they sell cars in the U.S. for $10,000 — unlikely, but let’s keep a round number.
Back in April 2014, that $10,000 in revenue would be converted back to 7,200 Euros.
Now fast-forward to today. That same $10,000 in revenue, converted back to Euros now earns Volkswagen €9,200 — that’s a 27% jump in revenue!
Keep in mind here, nothing has changed about the car. These companies are simply benefiting from selling in the right place at the right time.
And to take advantage of this opportunity, here are a few European-based companies that sell in the U.S., who are major beneficiaries of this low exchange rate environment.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (NYSE:FCAU)– This is the seventh largest auto-manufacturer in the world. Headquartered in Italy and incorporated in the Netherlands, this company sells a huge amount of cars in the U.S. Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge and Maserati are all operated by FCAU. And have you seen the new Alfa Romeo commercials on TV? I personally remember them blanketing this year’s Super Bowl. This is another FCAU operated company. Can you see why they chose now to start selling in the U.S.?
Nestle (OTC:NSRGY)– Gerber, Purina, Nestea, Nespresso, Kit Kat bars, and Hot Pockets — the list goes on! This Switzerland-based company sells an enormous amount of food and beverages that you can find in any U.S. grocery store. And although Switzerland uses Swiss Francs, the trend is the same. Since 2014, the Swiss Franc is down 15% against the dollar, which gives Nestle a similar advantage as Eurozone companies.
Unilever (NYSE:UL)– The Dutch-British consumer goods company that owns brands like Dove, Axe, Vaseline, and Dollar Shave Club had 20% of 2016 revenue come from the U.S.3 And since the beginning of the year, UL is up 30% — mostly because of a Kraft Heinz acquisition attempt — with a 3% dividend.
I’ll be keeping a close eye on exchange rates and the fundamentals shaping up in the U.S. and Europe. There are many moving parts to consider including politics, employment levels, and the GDP growth.
For now, the environment looks very strong for these three European-based companies.
And in the meantime, “bon voyage,” if you’re heading to Europe this summer.
Here’s to growing and protecting your wealth!

5 Must Knows For Monday, May 15th, 2017
Oil Cuts- Oil prices surged 3% after Russia and Saudi Arabia agreed to cut oil production over the weekend. But remember Friday’s article? Every time OPEC looks to cut production, they’re undermined by booming U.S. production. We’ll keep an eye out to see if this price surge is here to stay.
Worldwide Cyberattacks- On Friday, May 12th, a global cyberattack was launched using a weapon developed by the U.S. government. According to CNBC, the attack hit over 200,000 computers in 150 countries. Some notable organizations impacted include FedEx, French automaker Renault, and the British public health system.
Earnings, Earnings, Earnings- Is retail really dead? Or do you just have to know where to look? This is a topic that we’ll have more on this week, as heavy-hitters Home Depot (NYSE:HD), Target (NYSE:TGT), and Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) all report earnings.
U.S. Economic Indicators- On Tuesday, May 16th, April home construction and industrial production data will be released. Look for the market to go whichever way these numbers go, as both are seen as indicators to the overall economy. The stronger the numbers, the stronger the U.S. economy.
Europe Reports- On Friday, May 19th, the European Commission will release consumer confidence figures. This is seen as an early indication of the Eurozone’s response to Emmanuel Macron’s French presidential victory. And if you’ve bought into the stocks talked about above, this is a figure you want to watch.

Lucy Buys a Boat
S1;E30 ~ April 29, 1963
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis
Lucy talks Viv into buying a boat that's barely seaworthy. When they finally get it on the lake, it slips away from its moorings, trapping a seasick Viv and a bossy Lucy without a sail. Then the leaks start springing up!
Regular Cast
Lucille Ball (Lucy Carmichael), Vivian Vance (Vivian Bagley), Jimmy Garrett (Jerry Carmichael), Ralph Hart (Sherman Bagley), Candy Moore (Chris Carmichael)
This was the last episode of season one. It was also the last episode filmed in black and white. It is, however, not the last episode aired in black and white as CBS declined to air season two in color.
This is the only episode this season to only feature the main cast.
Tumblr media
This was intended to be the last episode of “The Lucy Show.” Lucy only came back to TV because Desilu couldn't sell their other shows without a hit. This series was used to leverage the sales of other Desilu programs. Lucille Ball was also concerned that one season of shows would not sell well in markets that showed daily repeats (“stripping”) as the program would only be worth one month of daily viewings if shown every weekday. “I Love Lucy” would last a station nine months of daily stripping.
The episode was filmed on March 28, 1963.
Tumblr media
The original airing included commercials for Lux soap, Pepsodent toothpaste, Wisk laundry detergent, and Jell-O gelatin. There was also voice over promo for “Password” (Lucille Ball’s favorite game show) which aired at 10pm Mondays. That evening, the guest was Arthur Godfrey. Coincidentally, during the early 1950s, “I Love Lucy” was promoted by “The Arthur Godfrey Show,” which aired in the time slot just before it.

Lucy and Viv normally take a cottage by the lake during the summer. Lucy says when she was a little girl she practically “lived on boats.” Lucy may be referring to Chautauqua Lake, which is adjacent to Jamestown, New York, Lucy Carmichael's hometown.
Tumblr media
Lucy says she bought it with the hull in the water so she didn't notice the shape the boat was in.  She adds that she didn't have Lloyd Bridges with her. Lloyd Bridges was the star of “Sea Hunt” (1958-1961), a TV series about a scuba diver which featured extensive underwater filming. Bridges played a doctor on the season five opener of “Here’s Lucy” in 1972. He was previously mentioned in “Lucy and Viv Put in a Shower” (S1;E18).

Posing at the prow, Lucy insists she bought the boat from its original owner, Viv sarcastically says “I wonder if he was standing where you are when he discovered America?”  Viv is, of course, referring to Christopher Columbus (1451-1506), whose three ships are said to have been the first to travel to the ‘New World’ (aka the Americas) in 1492. Columbus's legacy continues to be debated. He was widely venerated in the centuries after his death, but public perceptions have changed as recent scholars have given greater attention to negative aspects of his life, such as his enslavement of the indigenous population and his brutal subjugation of the Taíno people, as well as allegations of tyranny towards Spanish colonists. Lucy Carter talked extensively about Columbus in “Lucy Competes with Carol Burnett” (HL S2;E24, above) during the Secretary Beautiful Pageant.

Viv refers to a bossy Lucy as Captain Bligh. William Bligh was a real-life British Admiral who was in charge of the HMS Bounty when a mutiny set him adrift in 1789. His story was related in many films, including one in 1962.
Tumblr media
Viv references the fact that she was once a WAVE, a navy organization of women during World War II. This was first established in “Lucy Becomes an Astronaut” (S1;E6).
Tumblr media
Lucy gets a telephone call from a Mr. Hussey at the marina. This may be a reference to actress Ruth Hussey, who did the film The Facts of Life (above) with Lucille Ball in 1960.  Along with Ethel Merman, Hussey starred in a pilot aired as part of “Vacation Playhouse”, the summer 1963 replacement for “The Lucy Show.”

Lucy says that Viv has brought enough seasickness pills for the Queen Mary.
Tumblr media
Lucy is referring to the RMS Queen Mary, an ocean liner launched in 1934 for the Cunard Line. The ship was officially retired from service in 1967 and is now permanently berthed in Long Beach, California, serving as a tourist attraction, museum, and hotel.

When Viv dons her life jacket while still docked Lucy calls her “chicken of the sea.”
Tumblr media
Chicken of the Sea is a provider of packaged seafood, primarily canned tuna. Their television commercials were ubiquitous throughout the 1960s. In 1963, the year this episode aired, the company was sold to Ralston Purina.

While preparing her dinner on board, Lucy sings a bit of “Sailing, Sailing (Over the Bounding Main)” a folk song first composed in 1880 by James Swift (aka Godfrey Marks). The music (sans lyrics) was extensively used as underscoring during “Bon Voyage” (ILL S5;E13) in 1956 when Lucy misses the SS Constitution headed for Europe.

Once again, faced with the boat's tiny bunks Viv gets claustrophobic. This was established in “Lucy Becomes an Astronaut” (S1;E6). In real life, it was Lucille Ball who suffered from the condition.
Nautical Vocabulary!
VIV: “I’m afraid I’m just a landlubber at heart.”
Landlubber ~ Lubber is an old word (dating from the 14th century) meaning a clumsy or stupid person. The term landlubber refers to an unseasoned sailor.
VIV: “I’ll bet this is the first time anybody’s been shanghaied on a lake.”
Shanghaied ~ force someone to join a ship lacking a full crew by coercion or other underhanded means.
JERRY (to LUCY): “You’d better give us a rest, or you are going to have your first mutiny.”
Mutiny ~ an open rebellion against the proper authorities, especially by soldiers or sailors against their officers. The most famous in popular culture was in Mutiny on the Bounty, so Jerry is continuing the analogy of Lucy to Captain Bligh.
VIV (to LUCY): “Oh, go shiver yer timbers.”
"Shiver Me Timbers" ~ is an exclamation usually attributed to the speech of pirates in works of fiction. The word ‘shiver’ means “to break into small fragments or splinters” while the ‘timbers’ refer to the wooden support frames of old sailing ships. So the saying was most likely alluding to the shock of a large wave or cannonball causing the hull to shudder or split asunder.
LUCY (into telephone): “We’ve been working on her for days and she’s really yar!”
Yar ~ When a boat is trim, responsive, and in all ways lively in handling. In The Philadelphia Story (1940), Kate Hepburn’s character famously says about a boat “My, she was yar!”
Fast Forward!

A scene from this episode was included in “Lucy and Viv Reminisce” (S6;E16), the series’ only clips episode.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy in London” (1966) Lucy Carmichael’s leaky raft sinks her and her Captain (Anthony Newley) right in the middle of the River Thames.  Instead of being filmed on a soundstage, the special was done on location in the icy waters of the Thames in London.
Tumblr media
In “Lucy Runs The Rapids” (HL S2;E4), Lucy Carter’s sleeping bag gets dragged out into the middle of the Colorado River and slowly sinks under the weight of the water!  Again, this was filmed on location, not in a studio.
Callbacks!
Tumblr media
A leaky raft also sank Lucy and Desi in the feature film Forever Darling (1956).
Tumblr media
A leaky boat was part of the comic finale of “Lucy's Summer Vacation,” a 1959 episode of “The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour” about a visit to fictional Lake Wotchasokapoo, Vermont.
Tumblr media
The Ricardos and the Mertzes were also seen on a boat in distress in “Desert Island” (ILL S6;E8) where the group goes motor boating off the coast of Florida but runs out of gas.
Tumblr media
The set for the boat was constructed on a gimbal - an elevated platform that could be manipulated for back and forth motion. The same construction was used to shake the set of One Oak Cabins in “First Stop” (ILL S4;E14) to replicate the shaking of the building as the train passes by.
Tumblr media
Lucy says “I don't know what's wrong with those bunks. We tried them at home and they're just fine.” This may be callback to “Lucy and Her Electric Mattress” (S1:E12) where Lucy and Viv slept in Sherman and Jerry's bunk beds.
Tumblr media
Viv also had trouble with the bunks when they were quarantined in a space capsule simulator in “Lucy Becomes an Astronaut” (S1;E6).
Tumblr media
Lucy trying to fix dinner in a moving galley is reminiscent of a similar sequence in the 1953 film The Long, Long Trailer.
Tumblr media
In this episode, Viv takes too many sea sickness pills and gets drowsy. On the “Staten Island Ferry” (ILL S5;E12) it was Lucy who took too many pills - resulting in her almost missing out on getting her passport!  To assure this won’t happen on her transatlantic crossing, during “Bon Voyage” (ILL S5;E13) Lucy’s mother gives her a jumbo sized bottle of sea sickness pills!
Tumblr media
This is yet another episode where Vivian Vance eats a banana!  Ethel Mertz also ate one during “Bon Voyage” (ILL S5;E13), snacking on the contents of Lucy’s fruit basket!
Blooper Alerts!
Tumblr media
Timing is Every...{crash}...Thing! When Lucy and Viv run the boat mast into a window in the French doors, there's obviously no glass in the window. The glass shattering sound is a bit delayed.
Tumblr media
Ripples v Waves! Lucy says they are adrift on an inland lake, but unless there's a violent storm the severe pitching of the boat would be unusual for lake waters. If you look closely, you can see that Lucy’s plate of meatballs is actually on tiny casters. Naturally, meatballs were chosen because they are round and would roll!  One of the meatballs does fall on the floor (see above photo) but Lucille Ball either doesn’t notice or decided it was not worth trying to rescue, let alone stop shooting.

Hats Off to Lucy!  During the stunt with the sliding deck chair, Lucy's hat falls off.
