Favorite thing about them: It's a hard tie between her design elements and her passion for what she cares about. I love how her design has come out, in part because of how long I've picked away at her over the years waiting for a chance to play her, and how everything fell into place with the campaign's setup, but I also love how passionate she is about things: her work, her goals, and even her problems. Coming off of playing Oriana, who has a tendency to downplay a lot of her emotions due to her anxiety, it's been a good change of pace. Ledo is pretty calm most of the time but won't hesitate to say what's on her mind if she thinks it's important.

Least favorite thing about them: She's really hard to pinpoint morally/alignment-wise. I've settled on lawful neutral, but she flip flops between wanting to actually do some good and not caring about others at all and it's one of those things that will probably either go one way or another as her story develops, but for right now is just hard to feel out without regularly writing or playing her.

Favorite line: "If the universe wanted us gone so bad, it should have done a better job at killing us." for a specific line. But I'll echo your sentiments about their little campfire talk. I had never gotten a chance to show Ledo angry and when a little bit slipped with her "I am no damn pirate," comment, that was satisfying.

brOTP: Already adoring the vibes between Ledo and Char, they get shit done. But honestly I can't wait to see where the relationships with the other characters go, too. Especially Celeste once they get to really talk about Twalan one on one and maybe even Foaly at some point if they ever get to swapping war/battle stories.

OTP: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) You've seen him. I've only let his name slip once, but you've seen him on this here blog. That's all you get.

nOTP: You've also seen him but do not yet know his name. There's a lot of people in the world she would sell to satan for a corn chip, but she would pay for Satan to take this fellow.

Random Headcanon: In-character, her steel guardian Drache is based on a drake for one primary reason: a joke between her and her father. One day he asked her what she might want as a pet, and she said a dragon. She eventually learned that this was not possible, but the family in-joke remained. Out of character, the reason he's a drake is because I didn't want him to be a dog or a bear, and nothing else felt right. I originally was going to make her an armorer or artillerist artificer and she was gonna have a small monkey automaton, but after reviewing the sub-classes and realizing neither of those actually felt right and battle smith felt like the most useful sub-class, that automaton eventually morphed into Drache.

Unpopular Opinion: I doubt this technically counts, but I honestly think looking back that Ledo would have been better as a Pathfinder character. The inventor class is perfect, and I very well might replay her one day if I do ever get to join a Pathfinder campaign. But she feels like she fits well into the current party so I don't dwell on it too much.

Song I associate with them: OH boy. Currently her main song is "Queen of Kings" by Alessandra, but specifically this cover by Annapantsu for thematic reasons. "Runaway" by AURORA was her main theme before that. I have... a very long playlist for her I am still fine-tuning.

Favorite thing about them: She's just fun! Half of my enjoyment when it comes to thinking about Wisteria is considering the fun things like what she might wear, how her spells might appear since she's a dancing-based bard, or what kind of shenanigans she might get into.

Least favorite thing about them: Intelligence is absolutely her dump stat and hoo boy is that gonna be hard to get used to if I ever do get to play her in some kind of game. She also has no sense of personal space and is the worst kind of nosy.

Favorite line: We'll come back to this one day. One day...

brOTP: Her little eladrin bard gang back home. The tightest clique of court ladies and performers the fey have ever seen.

OTP: This gal's not looking to settle down or just pick one... but I could be convinced if the right opportunity presented itself.

Random Headcanon: Since Eladrin can change their "season" willingly, back in the Feywild she would do it on a whim or based on which court she was performing in, but she heavily preferred spring since that is the court she originates from. However, once she enters the material plane and the idea of the courts is no longer looming over her, her "season" tends to change depending on her overall mood for a while, at least until she starts understanding that seasons in this plane are a set timespan and then she starts adhering to that a bit more as she settles.

Unpopular Opinion: Probably gonna need to actually play her some to get an idea for what this might be.

favorite thing about them: Luna is my top favorite yugioh girl as of right now i love her so much!!!!!! I love her bond with Leo and I love just like...her character concept?? Girl falling into the Monster World via her brain when she was itty bitty and then a giant dragon told her it was her job to save and protect everyone. Luna had Undertale happen to her when she was like 4 and we just have to live with that and she just has to live with that too.

least favorite thing about them: unfortunately, she is a girl in a yugioh series. DOUBLE UNFORTUNATELY she is suffering from Girl In the Back Half of 5D's Disease. like i will go to bat for a lot in s2 of 5ds but MAN. THE GIRLS PROBLEM. luna's concept (the fucking fact she can talk to duel spirits!!!) is so cool and the show does barely anything with it except for that agonizing Monkey Miniarc during the dark signers. sad!!! LET HER DO MORE!!!!

favorite line: I can't think of any lines from the show proper off the top of my head but i Love if you play as leo in duel links and challenge her she says something like "Duel you? No way! You always complain when you lose!!"...i just love their dynamic so much ;__;

brOTP: HER AND LEO OF COURSE i love ygo siblings and leo and luna are my favorite 5ds characters (despite. my madnesses.)...their bond is just so so sweet and i love that you can tell even though leo's so rambunctious and obnoxious sometimes (a lot of the time) she still loves him so much. Also I'm insane and have been lost in the gx/5ds post canon crossover AU that exists in my brain where teenage luna is friends with 40-something year old chazz. one day i will talk more about this. i also have a lot i could say about Aporia and Luna having a dynamic but that would take another 3 paragraphs so I will restrain myself for now. <3

Sexuality Headcanon: aroace Gender Headcanon: trans man (I've found @antidotefortheawkward's arguments in this regard to be pretty convincing & pretty fitting with the Monkey King's extraordinary efforts to transform himself into the being HE wants to be) A ship I have with said character: I don't really ship him with anyone. As it is, he seems to have precisely 0% interest in romance in the og classic & many retellings. A BROTP I have with said character: Of course I have to say Sun Wukong and the pilgrim group! But also the Monkey King and the other six yaoguai kings/sages (especially the Demon Bull King) from his pre-journey days! I know these BROTPs represent two almost diametrically opposed parts of SWK's life, but I think they're both very important for the makeup of his character. A NOTP I have with said character: lots of people pairing him with Tang Sanzang or the Six Eared Macaque and for me it's hard to tell what's worse (X_X). Because in one it's like "that's his entire tudi who frequently treats him like shit" & the other is like "that's his entire evil twin who literally tried to murder-replace him." A random headcanon: The Monkey King takes his duties as both the king and communal grandpa of Mt. Huaguoshan very seriously, which means that every day there's a hours-long mandated "play with yeye" time in which SWK monkeys around with any of his "little ones" who feel like it. He especially likes interacting with the very young and very old members of the Mt. Huaguoshan monkey yaoguai troop. General Opinion over said character: one of the coolest guys ever! He's a king he's a scholar he's a doctor he's a warlord he's a warrior he's a protector he's a buddha he's a monkey he's selfish and selfless and caring and cruel and powerful and vulnerable and always tries so hard to do the best he can he's an amalgamation of all the paradoxes that go into making a human mind and definitely a being who deserves to be respected the world over.

For character ask, Wicked Witch of the West (1939)

Favorite thing about them: The sheer sinister glee with which she carries out her wicked deeds, and the sense of humor with which she taunts her victims. Combine this with her iconic look and costume, her cackle, her theme music, her deadly magic, and her unforgettable death, and it's no wonder that she's probably cinema's most iconic villain, whom everyone loves to hate.

Least favorite thing about them: Besides the fact that she's a shamelessly evil and sadistic villain who tries to kill our heroes... hmm... Maybe the fact that her big hooked nose makes her look too much like a caricature of a Jewish person. Some critics say that her green skin also has antisemitic connotations (green evokes "olive," plus it's associated with reptiles). But that's a problem with the standard look of witches in general, not exclusive to her.

Three things I have in common with them:

*I often wear black (it's a good base for brighter colored accessories).

*I can be very enthusiastic.

Random headcanon: Water melts her because of her fire powers. She's a creature of fire, so naturally, she's extinguished by water. This is also why snow destroys her field of poisonous poppies. (Yes, I know the other explanation that's been suggested based on the original book – that she's been extending her lifespan with magic and her molecules are unstable because she should have been dead and rotted long ago. I'll accept that explanation for Baum's Witch. But for the movie Witch, I'd rather link it to her association with fire.)

Unpopular opinion: Sometimes I get tired of seeing Wicked fans call her "Elphaba." It's all in good fun, of course, but she's not Elphaba. She existed for decades before Elphaba was even thought of. Nor does the plot of Wicked fit neatly into either the movie's continuity or the original book's. Elphaba is an AU version of her.

Favorite Thing: My favorite thing about her is that we know so little about her, yet because she married Henry and stayed in that relationship, we know so much. Firstly, she definitely knows all about his little experiments and all the dumb bs he likes spewing. Secondly, her existence completely undermines Henry’s persona, because if he were actually as bad as he likes to say he was, then she would not have stuck with him for as long as she did.

Least Favorite Thing: We don’t get enough of her :(. I want more Victoria!!! >:( Oh and every academic examination begins and ends with “Oh, she’s just a parallel to Wilde’s wife” and uhhh fuck that noise??? I just think that’s very indicative of how sexist academia can be and reductive of an extremely interesting character.

Favorite Line: “They all are, aren't they? Even those that are born in England become foreigners after a time, don't they?” This is referring to pianists btw.

brOTP: Basil and Victoria would be friends for sure, mainly because of their mutual connection to Henry, but also because both can and will absolutely destroy him when he does something particularly stupid.

OTP: Uhhh, Victoria on her own? Idk, there really isn’t anyone that I think she’d really be into. I guess the guy she ran off with is a pretty good choice.

nOTP: Victoria and Henry. I think they’re better as friends and only married because they had to and if they had to be stuck, they’d be stuck together.

Random Headcanon: She’s actually quite similar to Henry, but being a woman in Victorian times, doesn’t employ her own manipulations nearly as much as Henry. Also she wanted to be a physician but her status and gender prevented her from doing so in her time. Oh and she knew Dorian was bad news the moment she met him--that's why she so nervous when they first meet--his vibes were off-putting, lol.

Unpopular Opinion: Victoria wasn’t actually the one to initiate the divorce. She suggested it after having an affair with the pianist mentioned in the book, but it was more in fear of ruining both of their reputations. Henry was the one who actually made it happen, going as far to take the blame of the marriage falling apart as a final notion of goodwill towards her.

A ship I have with said character: god driftrod is so cute for real..... I'll always be a sucker for like the two really close long time best friends that also are more open and honestly themselves around each other than anyone else and it gets really fruity with it

A BROTP I have with said character: uhhhh im Juuust getting into rodimus' like character arc and he honestly doesn't have that many close relationships but I do love the uncle and nephew dynamic he kinda has with ratchet. i think ratchet genuinely cares about him and wants him to come into his own as a leader because optimus believes in him and he can see the potential that optimus saw but I think he's also hard on rodimus too hence the vote. but just because he didnt think rodimus was suited to lead the lost light back then doesn't mean he's disloyal to him, i think. just that ratchet knows rodimus has a lot to learn. and i think rodimus really values ratchets opinions on him and that stung a lot-- ratchet's opinion is like the closest thing he has on the lost light to like. optimus'. if he's disappointing ratchet, than is he also failing optimus? not to mention ratchet is just generally a very well-respected, old and experienced autobot. his opinion and judgement holds WEIGHT.

A NOTP I have with said character: r/dimus/m/gatron can burn in a fire shut the fuck up shutthe fuck up AAAAAA

A random headcanon: i think he has a lot of little toys and trinkets and do-dads collected from earth somewhere, and always takes a few with him when travelling from wherever his home is. I imagine a lot of them have emotional significance and memories attached but some of them are also just "oh my god look at this funny monkey this is hilarious [winston overwatch figure]"

General Opinion over said character: he has problems and he is making it everyones problem and he needs to just get therapy already for real

Favorite thing about them: Ohhh there's so much. Besides everything, I think it's the fact that try as he might, he can't hide how much of a fucking dork he is. He may act like a "hard-boiled detective" who "isn't here to make friends" but he's a lonely, grumpy dork who literally does fake crowd cheering in his Christmas alt's victory line

Least favorite thing about them: Now we're getting into the fun part. Nomad is a great character, he's well-written, and I can't wait to see what they do with my favorite MIA bootboy, but...I'm also worried. Nomad's mental health (at least at this point in the story) is on thin ice, and on several occasions so far (a lot of it behind a translation wall) he's come close to killing the protag, a child, for getting in his way (his character quest and Christmas Showdown specifically). If he goes past a certain point, he won't be coming back.

brOTP: OHO. Gotta be him and Macan. From strangers to a lost, angry man befriending a young, scared but excitable boy and sharing their mutual misery to Nomad being the only person who can calm Macan down (see Tiger New Year part 2). They're friends, even if Nomad gets overwhelmed by him a lot

OTP: Besides him and my wanderer Rin, I'd say Nomad and Breke (exes), specifically the Nightglows versions of themselves. If you follow me you've seen my Do Me A Favour PMV, so there are some of my thoughts on it. I just love the interactions between the two in the event like the gossip hens moment they have after Cthugha shows up.

NOTP: Macan and Nomad (romantically). I'll kill you.

Random Headcanon: You may have noticed that I tend to call Nomad White Man or White Boy a lot, and that's because of his source material. Gulliver Foyle, may he rot in hell, is stated in The Stars My Destination to be a White man with black hair from the United States. Since a good portion of the beginning of The Stars is canon to housamo, it's not that far of a stretch to say the beloved fiery detective is exactly that, a white guy. Hence, Nomad, the beloved average white american man.

Unpopular Opinion: I think he should be able to kill all of the Utopia scientists he wants and not be punished for it <3

Emiya: EVERYTHING? He's so intrinsically My Type that it's painful. But if I had to pick something it's how he still manages to hold onto a tiny spark of who he used to be, the smallest flicker of his old ideals and hope and joy, amid the crushing weight of existential despair and apathy his life has ended up.

Robin: His EXISTENCE; but no, really, the way they've written who and what he is kills me, I love how he's handled and I love this idea of this forgotten boy who took the name Robin Hood, one of many faceless outlaws, becoming the face of that existence rather than any real "named singular person" Robin Hood like Loxley or Huntingdon or anyone we know.

Merlin: I love how he's handled as well, he's so inhumanly human and I love how he loves Artoria and feels so guilty but tricks himself into thinking he doesn't feel at all, but it's so obviously a lie, I love how he loves watching us, he's such an interesting take on the character.

least favorite thing about them

Robin: Don't let him lie to you, he died at 19. He's a bit self-conscious of this fact sometimes because he doesn't want people to pity him or give him shit.

Merlin: He constantly lowkey smells like flowers, though specifically what kind varies person to person because of his Charm Person abilities. To people unaffected by that part of his magic, he smells of a field of wildflowers.

favorite thing about them: I love how complicated he is. He's such a complex, 3 dimensional, fully realized character with levels to him. There is so much about his past we don't know, but can infer based on how he interacts with the rest of the characters and the actions he chooses. I LOVE HIM.

Favourite thing about them

I love how his entire existence is treated like a shitpost (especially in og twewy) and yet he still manages to have an extremely interesting narrative if you're willing to look past 50+ text bubbles full of incomprehensible math jargon. When he's not reciting pi and blowing himself up I can't help, but wonder why he so desperately craves power, what his relationship with Hanekoma was like, or how he really feels about the Wicked Twisters, whether or not he, in his heart of hearts, regretted betraying him. He's a weird and utterly unique character and just so fun to make headcanons about.

Least favorite thing about them

His um...speech patterns are very funny and endearing to read, but absolute HELL to write. Nagi has the same problem. They’re almost too unique to the point where it’s hard to replicate how they talk in canon.

Three-way tie between “This is subtracting from my arts and crafts time”, “HA HA HA. 3.14159265358979323846″ etc etc, and that time in another day when his Dad told him that his Totally Cool and Epic Homemade Beyblade wasn’t that great and he said “I’m better than you” and ran away crying like a five year old.

God everyone, but him and the Wicked Twisters especially. I thought it was really cute how much Rindo and Fret relied on and looked up to him. Nagi needs to cool it a little but I think Mina could really benefit from having a positive relationship with someone in his own age group. I also really hope that he and Neku get an enemies-to-friends arc. Neku choosing to see the good in him and believing he’d changed for the better despite everything he’d done to him is very important to me.

I’m a staunch non-partnering aroace Mina believer so I’m really not interested in shipping him. However I think the sheer chaotic energy of uzukarimoto would be absolutely hilarious. I want Uzuki and Kariya to be in a romantic relationship and then post-redemption Mina starts hanging around with them so often that he becomes an honorary queerplatonic partner. Guy in a polycule that’s not dating anyone he’s just there.

Basically all Mina ships sorry :/ but I'm particularly not fond of ShoBeat or ShoNagi. ShoBeat just isn't my thing. I don't really see anything super interesting in their dynamic, personally I think his relationship with Neku is leagues more interesting (not in a romantic way tho). Also Nagi just very obviously makes Sho uncomfortable and it's kinda painful to watch. Rating: NOT CUTE!! THIS CATBOY IS IN DISTRESS.

Random headcanon

I love the idea that he was somehow able to see the UG even while he was alive, and that growing up surrounded by so much violence and death desensitized him and allowed him to become abnormally vicious and cruel as a Reaper.  Also, I like to think that he was a small, sickly kid, and died of a very slow, very gradual illness. In a way his erratic behavior as a Reaper is him compensating for his sheltered and unhappy childhood. 

Unpopular opinion

I think that a lot of his egotism and bravados is a cover, or even a survival mechanism, and that deep down Mina is actually rife with dissatisfaction and insecurity. Josh calls him an “attention seeker” and I think subconsciously that’s exactly what he’s looking for when he’s siccing taboo noise onto other Reapers or building those massive trash heaps. Heck, in ntwewy a lot of that old cockiness has been literally beaten out of him by the Composer. Granted I’m not sure if Mina’s meant to be a very deep character, so this is more of a “I think this would be narratively interesting” opinion rather than a “I think this is where the writers are going with him” opinion.

cute of you to think i can choose ONE character. i cant. so lets go with luffy!

- favorite thing about them mmh this is already hard. i think i love the most how much he impacts his own world as well as the reader experience. op is a series that, with a different mc, could be so so much darker, with themes such as slavery, racism, abuse of power and so on, but luffy is such an enthusiastic, lovable character that inspires in you childish awe for the world and love for adventure, without turning his head to the problems of his society. he isnt afraid to address these issues in a very simple way but always head on, declaring war on the world if necessary (yes, literally) op is so long because oda takes all the time he needs to build his mc in a character that feels like he could really accomplish everything, with a willpower, an emotional intellingence and an honesty so indeniable sometimes he feels like a force of nature he isnt infallible nor perfect nor a heroic figure, hes just a rubber boy who wants to see the world and be free, in a world where freedom is the least granted gift, but you know he will be king not because he is the mc but because he is luffy.

- least favorite thing about them not really about him as about the series in itself, but his fights more often than not are. so. fucking. long. i understand that oda needs to make you feel how hard every obstacle is to overcome, but ive been following op weekly since 2017, and some of my friends since even before, and the moment in any arc when the Luffy Fight (tm) starts is the moment when you put the story down for, like, 6 months or so because its so long that following it weekly would just spoil what could be much more bearable and even enjoyable if read all in one sitting

- favorite line this one require a little context: luffys most notorious catchphrase is "im gonna be king of pirates", he says it so often he even answer the phone with that, even if there are marines on the other side of the line. sometimes its a gag, sometimes he uses to feel braver. at some point tho, one of his crew members needs to leave the crew for Noble Reasons (long story), and doesnt want to tell them anything because he doesnt want to create problems, but luffy has none of that shit, and even after a big fight between the two of them, as the crew members walks away, he yells "without you i cant be king of the pirates" and. man. i bawled my eyes out at that. luffys quotes arent long or complex, but theyre so full of honesty and wholesomeness they hit you right in the feels

- brOTP luffy n zoro, sorry im so basic. captain n right hand man, two halves of the same idiot but twice as intense. picture this: youve been hunting pirates for years, made a name for yourself as bounty hunter, and now youre starving and about to be executed for stupid reasons, when a kid in the most unassuming attire and manners comes to you and ask you to be part of his pirate crew because he wants to be king of the pirates. he has no other crewmembers, a little fishing boat, no money and between the two of you not a single braincell. give it few weeks and youre ready to drop everything and kill and die for him and his dreams

- OTP none, luffy is the most aroace character you can find. i really like tho the idea that everyone at some point or another cant help but falling in love a little with him. honestly it isnt even really a headcanon, everyone adores luffy (but not everyone wants to admit it, for future reference see trafalgar law)

- nOTP mmmh still, i dont ship him with anyone but having to choose i think nami? its the one a lot of people thinks about because, yknow, she was the only girl at the start. i love her but in a ship with luffy? :/

- random headcanon hes an adhd hyperactive child your honor. hes not actually stupid, but his brain is just a monkey juggling with bananas on a tricycle at 120mph in a highway. he cant focus for the love of whoever is above, but he doesnt lack intelligence, he just actively decides to be an idiot because he doesnt want zoro to be left out

- unpopular opinion i read that some people, after A CERTAIN POINT OF THE STORY, believe that luffy lacks character development n emotional growth (id love to go into the details but too long). imo this isnt necessarly the case, mainly because op isnt the story of how the world changed its mc (as in, maybe, yuuji, with all the hardships he had to overcome). op is the story of how luffy has changed and is going to change the world, how hes going to shape it to his own will, so i think itd be more correct to measure the growth in the worldbuilding changes more than in its mcs
