Rat fashion show run by Mirabel, Antonio, and Bruno?
"No. No no no no no."
"Why not?" Mirabel's pout is deadly, but Bruno just can't get over the horribly clashing colors she has chosen for Oreo. The rat sitting on the palm of her hand is currently wearing a bright blue west and a lime green top hat. It's… It's just…
"It's hideous!"
Mirabel gasps and tries to cover Oreo's ears, who is too busy cleaning his own belly to notice the grave insult he has just been dealt.
"You have no idea what you are talking about! This! This is FASHION!"
"This is an excuse to go blind! I won't have him walk the runway like that, Mira! It's too embarrassing."
"Says the man walking around in the same old ruana all day every day!"
It's Bruno's turn to gasp, deeply offended. "This is a timeless piece of clothing! You can't go wrong with a ruana."
"Well, you once again defy expectations, Tio Bruno."
Camilo and Antonio watch the ensuing argument from the sidelines. The older boy is highly amused, but shakes his head in resignation.
"A fashion show with the rats was a nice idea, Tonito. But maybe we shouldn't have put our experimental tailor and the stubborn unfashionable Rat-Mama in charge of the outfits."
Antonio just hums. He is too busy putting a checkered dress on the fat rat in his lap to be bothered by the bickering of his two favorite people.
Oreo loves his little hat and the vest. He says they make him look 'festive'.
Antonio will tell Tio Bruno as soon as he is done with the dress. His Tio will probably scrunch up his nose, but ultimately relent with a long suffering sigh. What his rats want is very important to Tio Bruno. Just one of the reasons why Antonio loves him so much.
(The little boy just hopes Mirabel won't be too smug about it.)

WDTAB: The El Brujo Loco Remix (Full Version)
So he a few months back I posted the first chunk of this thing (a salute to The Madrigal In-Laws teenage trainwreck Bruno including Joker origin story) but since I finally figured out the end I figured I ought to put it back out there. You’re welcome/sorry.
BEATRIZ: Need to talk about Bruno We gotta talk about Bruno, so! It was a holy day
MERCEDES: (Mass on Easter Sunday)
ROBERTO: Everyone was gathered and there wasn’t a gap in the pews
MERCEDES (Everyone saw what they saw!)
ROBERTO: Then Bruno stands and he lifts up his hands
MERCEDES: (A vision!)
ROBERTO: If he had a choice, he would refuse
MERCEDES: (I’m sorry, do you believe that?)
HELENA: Bruno warns of fiery fate
MERCEDES: (All the grain stores gone!)
HELENA: The town’s mistrust turns into hate
MERCEDES: (Bound to happen before long)
HELENA: We tried to help, it was too late
MERCEDES: (The kid’s a creep at any rate)
BEATRIZ, ROBERTO, HELENA, & MERCEDES: Need to talk about Bruno We gotta talk about Bruno!
FELIX: Hey! Wary of the days of Bruno giggling ‘n grinning Life’s a game he plays, and he thinks that he’s winning Doesn’t give a damn nobody else is having fun
THE MIRACLE’S CHILDREN: We’re done, done, done!
AGUSTIN: The truth will arise ‘tween the lies he’s spinning Only way to see the mask he wears thinning Try to give another chance, he blows them one by one And he’s left with none
JOSE: A punchable face, makes our lives a wreck For my fall from grace I’ll stab him in the neck! (I protest too much, in truth my sin is lust…)
THE MIRACLE’S CHILDREN: Need to talk about Bruno We gotta talk about Bruno!
OSMA: Forget all about the fish He’s done much worse!
OSVALDO: If you see eyes glowing green You better call a hearse!
PADRE LOPEZ: He is no prophet of the Bible, no His sins are diverse
ALL: Los Madrigal, you must free us from this curse!
ALMA: Calm yourselves, you know this is a phase And he’ll come to his senses in time “Cry for help”? More like “Boys will be boys” There’s the reason to go with this rhyme
BRUNO: Wow, Ma, guess you do not care at all.
JULIETA: He told me that his end is foreseen My help just out of reach And we’ll lose him forever (Just time we’re buying now No use in trying now I’m left crying now!)
ALMA: Mija, perhaps he’ll still listen to you.
PEPA: Ugh, Bruno That damn loco brujo Pushed too far for too long, it’s true, oh I’m done, I wash my hands of that fool, so
JOSE: Does this mean I can put him down?
THE MADIGALS: Shut up, Guzman!
[the complicated bit goes here; substitute Isabela and Dolores’ repeated “I’m fine!” with Alma and Julieta going “Out of time!”]
ALL: Need to talk about Bruno PEPA: So sick of hearing ‘bout Bruno ALL: We gotta talk about Bruno! PEPA: Or maybe less talking ‘bout Bruno?!

Brunos Girlfriend
Warnings: None, fem!reader (she/her pronouns used)
Note: This is based only on my views on how I think each member of Bruno's family would treat you! Of course there are other views <3 I'm including the husbands in their wife's headcanon!
Tumblr media
Alma:
She was quite surprised when Bruno suddenly spent more time outside after rebuilding the casita, than in the last 50 years combined
So one evening, when Bruno disappeared after dinner, she commissioned Dolores to eavesdrop on him from the house
When she found out he was seeing you, she let Dolores find out your address and invited you to dinner in the Casita
She was overjoyed that even the last of her triplets finally had someone
After she found out how nice and decent you were, you were practically her favorite
She even gave Bruno, when he confessed to her that he wanted to propose to you, the ring Pedro gave her when he proposed back then
Pepa:
Pepa was sceptical at first, not used to her brother getting any attention from someone besides her and Julieta
So she sent Antonio to spy on you, as people tend to show their real intents when they're around children
Antonio eventually forgot the 'mission', and started playing hide and seek with you
After Antonio came home that evening, telling her everything, she slowly started to get warm with you
She even invited you to go for a walk with her through the corn fields once, completely forgetting that you're not immune to her rain clouds, which resulted in you being drenched
After that she apologized at least three times a day, until you reassured her that it's her job to let it rain, for the plants sake
From then on she praised you whenever she could, it was even rumored that she had never said a bad word about you
Félix of course was of the same opinion, for the sake of his wife alone
If you made his brother-in-law happy, then his wife was happy too, and so was he
Julieta:
She only ever wanted the best for her little Brunito since she could think, being there for him when he needed someone
So to say she was glad to have you to take care of him in his lows would describe her view very accurately
Even her husband was glad that his brother-in-law finally had someone to watch over him that wasn't his wife, because that meant more arepas for him (hehe)
Every time you wanted something special to eat, she always somehow served it to you at the next meal
Isabela:
Isabela Madrigal wasn't someone to quickly trust someone
You, with your bright and polite attitude, were the complete opposite of her tío
So she completely ignored you most of the time
You even tried buying her some cacti and tulips, but she just didn't seem to like you
It got better with time, she sometimes did picnics with you, but she still sometimes apologizes for being a little cold towards you
Dolores:
OH GIRL-
Dolores Madrigal adored you
She was kinda fascinated by the woman who won her tíos heart
Loves to gossip with you about the rest of the family, kind of like the New York Times for you, always up to date due to her gift
Had to stuff her mouth with arepas everytime you greeted her, after she got wind of Bruno's plans of proposing
You were her go-to person when she needed to rant about something that was upsetting her, as she had the feeling that you were the most understanding out of everyone else
Luisa:
You didn't have much to do with her at the beginning
Only sometimes, when she wanted your opinion on how to beautify a bridge in an aesthetic way
You mainly talked to her when you were over, discussing the next project she had to finish in the Encanto
It remained that way, because of that you somewhat became her assistant when it came to giving something the final touch
Camilo:
Camilo Madrigal was joyed
He finally saw you as his buddy to do mischief around the town
Only sometimes tho, when you weren't needed by other relatives
He loved to play board games with you
For being 15 years old, he definitely knew how to let a woman lose honorless in every game existing
Pepa scolded him for not letting you win even once, but you just brushed it off
Who wouldn't let a kid win a stupid board game?
Mirabel:
She looked up to the two of you in terms of relationship, took you as an example of how differences attract each other
Definitely thanked you multiple times for not judging her tío, and making him feel loved and safe
Loving the way you always saw the best in people
So expect self-made presents from her as a thanks
Mostly it would be a dress she made herself, being excited to see your reaction to her efforts
You somehow always ended up crying, being completely surprised of how much niceness and love this family had towards you
Antonio:
Ah yes, the boy scared you multiple times
He didn't understand the complexity of people holding back when meeting someone new, so he thought if he gave you presents, you would love him instantly
Waking up with a monkey beside you, jumpscaring you into running out of your guest room screaming, wasn't exactly what you imagined on your first night sleeping over at the Madrigal's
His mother profusely apologized to you, explaining to him with a dangerous looking cloud above her head, how he couldn't just send his animal friends into your room without knowing if you had a phobia of them, especially on your first night over
He then ran to his room crying, thinking that he scared you away forever
It took a lot of reassuring on your side, and many hugs, to convince him that you were just scared a few seconds, not as hard to hate him
He then asked you with a red nose from prior crying, if you wanted to see his room and his other friends
You nodded of course, not wanting to make the 5 year old sad again
From then on, every time he saw you being free from any chores, he took your hand and excitedly led you to the Casita to show you another new friend of his
He was adorable, and you were glad everytime Pepa trusted you with babysitting him
You saw it as a good training, if Bruno and you had kids yourself one day
~
Why do I somehow always bring tulips in every post? Well well, I hope you'll like this <3

In regards of the tainted miracle , this a an idea of mine of alternative time line and i would like to ask you about you opinion. Instead of becoming what she is now, Maribel makes peace with her fate and leaves as soon as she is old enough to take care of herself, literally desapears and lives peacefully in the outskirts of the village however the magic starts fading anyway, the Madigal's think MIrabel is doing something, but she is just living her life out of public eye.
I think, at least in any context similar to Tainted, the blame of what was going on with the magic will always be shifted into Mirabel no matter what. Annexed from the family as Bruno was in canon, not present to speak up for herself, an easy scapegoat for all that is wrong in the world. The story as it stands is truly just…The Tragedy of Mirabel ❤️‍🩹

What about some Luisa x Mirabel fluff? PS: after going throuh the Madrigalcest tag i came with a theory, that the madigal family wouldn't even need to keep the secret from each other since the whole family is already in a incestous relationship, but none of them know and everybody thinks they are the only ones on this kind of realtionship and also ot may be genetic since, in my head, Pedro (abuelo) and Alma (abuela) where close cousins.
You won't believe me anon but the character Abuela Alma was inspired by WAS IN FACT married to her cousin. She had 4 kids (one of them adopted) and 3 of them commited varied acts of incest as well. Or, well, at least I THINK Alma was inspired by Úrsula from Cien Años?? What with being the old household matriarch and leading her people across the colombian forest looking for somewhere safer to live, surviving the civil war and founding a town with her family. Not necessarialy in that order (the civil war part came later) but still. Also her husband was her cousin. Did I mention she married her cousin? Though to be fair they have quite different personalities. Abuela is very hard on her children and grandkids and will unintentionally exclude them from the family, while Úrsula will look at any random child and ask "is anybody gonna adopt that" and then not wait for an answer. And her husband was NOTHING like Pedro like literally 0 parallels that I can see. But yes yes anon YES i approve of your headcanon. Alma and Pedro being cousins and Alma being scared of their descendants being born "wrong" because of the nature of their union. And she warns them against incest because she fears they won't be as lucky as her. You know like in Cien Años.
Ay yes but the propensity to incest being a genetic thing is so intriguing 👀 Alma would feel so guilty, like she's cursed her family. And the angst of everyone being alone and not knowing and hiding things from the others ahhh.
I like to think Bruno, Pepa and Julieta have done some things together before Isabela and Dolores were born. They had to stop but they always missed each other. And once he comes back... well...
And of course in this context Luisa and Mirabel have their own thing. I imagine Luisa to be so protective omg like yes she'd be TERRIFIED of anyone finding out and stress herself over keeping the secret and keeping her sister safe above all else. She just has this constant feeling of DOOM like at any point SOMEONE will find out and physically hurt them, and Mirabel looks so fragile and tiny in her arms asjskxjdjd she protecc
But also, Mirabel can tell how scared her partner is and tries to reassure her that they are safe, they will be fine, no one will hurt them. She has her sit on a bed and stands on her tiptoes to kiss her forehead because she thinks Luisa desperately needs to feel small and cared for. Mirabel also protecc >:3c
And Dolores, who is probably banging Isabela on the side or something, hears everything and is like o_O 🐤🎶

Omg! That Bruno imagine about him seeing your future together made me so soft! I'd love it if you could make a oneshot out of that? You don't have to! I love it already, it's just a suggestion. Love you <3
El tiempo lo cura todo - Bruno Madrigal x Reader
Synopsis after -> THIS <- Imagine, in which Reader has a rough time behind her and seeks out the infamous prophesier Bruno - to ask if her future holds any luck at all. Little do both of you know that you are destined to end up together...
Tumblr media
Warnings: Slight Angst
Notes: Fem! Reader, otherwise no descriptions of Reader's appearance (skin color/hair/etc.), Bruno and Reader are in their 20's
A/N: This has been written in the middle of the night, and as always I am too lazy to proofread.
Words: 3380
Fate had never been your ally.
Ever since you could think, life would never give you a break as one catastrophy led to another. No matter how hard you tried - and even when you thought to be at your lowest point already - things would only get worse for you and your loved ones.
Some might ask why you'd be so bold to challenge your luck and visit the infamous fortune teller if you've lost all hope either way...
...but the truth was: You had nothing to lose anymore.
Maybe knowing what kind of awful future lies ahead could help you at least deal better with it, or so you thought.
The only problem is: Bruno Madrigal had basially vanished from the face of the village, last seen about five years ago. And truth be spoken, most of it's inhabitants thought his disappearance to be a blessing.
You on the other hand held no knowledge about the 'amazing gifted family' other than tales and anthems. Due to your misfortune and fear of dragging anyone into it, you chose to isolate yourself from most people, living in a tiny hut at the edge of the forrest.
Of course you've seen some of the family members before, on your regular visits on the market. Always watching, always admiring, but never interacting in any way.
You felt as if a curse had possessed you, making it dangerous even for those associating with you...
...but hey, maybe you're just too theatratical.
Sometimes there isn't an actual reason for people's suffering, really - and it makes it even harder for them to accept their fate.
So this was the Casa de Madrigal.
Now that you've stood in front of it, you were almost disappointed by the colorful yet way tinyer appearing house. On the other hand, it seemed like a great collage, each part of it built by a different person, which made it kinda endearing.
They will probably think you're crazy for coming here - but thinking again, none of those people even knows who you are, right?
It's worth at least a try.
Glancing up to the great wooden door, you saw the tiles of the house shifting through your appearance. There was a rumor going around that the building was in fact alive, so it was worth giving it a shot (and hopefully not making an idiot out of yourself).
"Hola, Casita..." you muttered nervously as you moved on with firm steps, trying to appear brave. "I want to speak to, uh...I need to see Bruno Madrigal!"
You winced as the window shutters repeatedly slammed shut, the aura around the place having shifted completely. It was cold, dark, threatening...
...almost as if the house was trying to keep you away, to protect you - or him?!
Still, you fought your way forwards through strong winds pushing you back, until you were able to take a hold of the doorknob, only able to knock a single time before the plastered streets under your feet moved you back.
"¡Casita!" a soft, yet harsh voice cut through the air, and immediately everything went still once again. "Don't scare away the señorita."
As the heavy entrance swung open at her command, it revealed the source of the voice: A person who you thought to be the matriarch of the family, Alma Madrigal. She was just like you imagined her - graceful and still rigorous, motherly but also bearing a strict facade.
The elder woman's face switched forth and back between both inviting and worried, in the end remaining with a sincere smile directed at you.
"Everyone who comes to our home in times of need will be welcomed, my dear - but I'm afraid my son doesn't accept visitors anymore."
You knew the stories, they were no secret among the folk - about the youngest Madrigal triplet, foreseeing nothing than imminent doom.
Little did they know this was exactly what you were looking for!
"Please, I-" You bit your lip, frustrated with imagining having gone so far out of your comfort zone for nothing. "Is there no other way?"
The person in front of you seemed grieving, almost haunted by something laying heavy on her heart. Absentmindedly, her eyes wandered up to the tower of the estate, visibly pondering.
"My son's visions caused him to become estranged by the village and it's people, even his family..." It pained you to listen to her words as she took your hands into his, her intense stare almost frightening you.
"I will lead you to his room, but as soon as you entered, you're on your own. Maybe if you prove yourself to be worthy, then-" She cut herself off, already dragging you towards the tower without leaving you any second thought.
Alma couldn't bear to stay around much longer, to face the consequences of her harsh upbringing on her only son. So as quickly as she had come to assist you, she rushed away, leaving you alone with your thoughts.
Your heart began to race as you saw the menacing image of Bruno on the glowing door, almost vividly convincinv you to run away and never return.
Did you really want this?
Judging from your knowledge, Bruno Madrigal wasn't only punished with an unpleasant gift. His visions - and even the man himself - were downright dangerous.
It has been an eternity since people considered his power useless, forbidden and even the person itself taboo - and as you've just witnessed with your own eyes, even his family had forsaken him.
The people in the town were always torn apart between boiling rage and pure terror whenever someone brought up his name, his story only alive through evil rumors, spoken via whispers in the dark.
Everyone who ever dared asking for a vision was left traumatized, horrified and in pits of despair...
...and now there you were, standing right in front of the devil's door.
But you have come way too far to turn around now!
Out of a whim, you collected all of your courage, holding a deep breath before running inside...
...immediately getting stuck in the sand, your startled self facepalming the floor. You involuntarily rolled down a big hill of falling sand, coughing heavily.
After you were certain that there were no more threats, you needed to calm yourself down for several minutes - and admittedly also trying to get some of the dirt ouf of your shoes and clothes.
There was no one to be seen. As far as you could look, only sand - until your head tilted upwards, and you groaned in frustration. "You can't be serious..."
You facepalmed, both irritated at the sight of the countless stairs and amazed that the room was so much greater than it appeared on the outside.
This was certainly not what you had expected, but it fit your usual tough luck. No reason to keep wasting time you told yourself, beginning your ascend.
Your physical strain was greater than your fears, silencing your racing brain for as long as you kept yourself busy...
...and those last steps you'd crawl on all fours, finally seeing the entrance of a cave on the other side of a shaky chain bridge.
You took a few ragged breaths, trying to enjoy the calm before the storm on your slow stroll through the hallway. It was almost completely dark, only glowing green accents on the wall illuminating the way.
The imagery carved in the walls was creepy and rats moving made you jump every few seconds - this whole room was a huge contrast to the rest of the Casita.
Eventually you arrived at an opening to a small room, and peeking inside you realized it to be completely black, swallowing every light. Trying to blank your mind, you slid through the slightly opened stone door - and much to your horror, it slammed shut.
You clawed at the door in a desperate attempt to open it again, but to no avail. And when all the torches on the walls suddenly ignited themselves you shrieked, still facing the door.
Anxiety was making your blood boil, setting every nerve on fire - and you still couldn't force yourself to face the man whose presence you clearly felt boring holes into your back.
"Don't be scared. I won't harm you."
The voice echoing through the great hall was way gentler than you imagined, and you grabbed the fabric of your shirt, releasing a shaky breath.
You'd finally turn around to examine the man, who in return shyly waved at you. He was hiding in a corner far away from you, sheepishly stepping into the centre of the room as he greetingly waved.
The hood he was wearing covered half of his face, all you were able to make up being stubbles of a three-day-beard and a smile forced through trembling lips.
"H-Hello..." Now you felt a little embarassed at your total unnecessary fear, especially considering that it was you invading his home...
...and judging by his body language, he seemed just as afraid as you.
"Sorry for bursting in just like that, I-"
"Ah, it's no problem!" he refused to accept your apology with a gesture of a hand, chuckling awkwardly. "I knew of your arrival."
Could it be Casita had a way to inform him of your arrival? Or did he already see your future?!
"I-I..." You found yourself at loss for words, a little overchallenged by the situation. "I'm Y/N, nice to meet you, señor Bruno!"
What a pretty name, he thought - and it fit you like a glove.
The man in front of you however was the complete opposite of his reputation, and clearly taken aback by the basic human decency you approached him with.
Right now, Bruno was giving it his utmost to suppress his instinct to hide away, his anxiety spiraling into new heights at the first interaction with a villager he had in years.
And of course he knows why you had come all the way up here, doesn't he?
However, when Bruno removed his hood, you couldn't help but turn your small smile into an outburst of laughter.
"I thought you looked...different" you snickered, putting a hand over your mouth to not make it look like you were laughing at him.
A sole tear of joy escaped your eye at the sight of this almost adorable man - a little unkempt, maybe, but with the most kindest puppy eyes you had ever seen.
"Like what?" He probably knew the answer already, judging by the way his expression turned very gloomy all of a sudden and his voice cracked.
You never should've believed any word of the villagers. Knowing them for so long, you should know they tend to overexaggerate - besides many other negative qualities, you want to add.
"Just taller, that's all" you answered firmly, a warm smile tugging on your lips. "Thanks for having me."
Bruno couldn't help but mirror your smile, frantically trying to ignore how his heart was hammering against his chest at this divine being having found her way into his cave.
It was like the sun itself had come to visit, after hiding from the craving man for such a long time - and it made him flustered beyond belief.
You wanted to bow down in means of showing respect, but Bruno would object, a little uncomfortable by your action. "N-Nonono, it's alright, stop!"
"Señor, I need to ask something of you." Now his racing heart dropped into the acid pit that was his stomach, in negative anticipation of what follows. "Fate has been rough with me, and I thought you might show me if a brighter future awaits."
Bruno would look anywhere but your eyes, and for a while uncomfortable silence would strain the air. You hesistantly reached out for his hands and he was stunned by the touch, not resisting when you squeezed them slightly.
"Por favor, mi amigo..." The affectionate tone of your voice startled him, gracing his ear like music.
But the particular use of words hurt, made him feel a little sick even. How often had people manipulated and flattered Bruno, in the end always successfully persuading him to try seeing the future one more time.
Yet the outcome would be all the same - and people he slowly started to confide in turned on him.
"Mi amor" He instantly regretted those affirmations leaving his lips, even though it didn't feel wrong.
The youngest Madrigal triplet was bewitched by your whole being from the very first second, the fact that he feelt drawn to you this whole time making it hard to stay objective.
But that instant connection only made him more protective of you - yes, he must never ruin such a beautiful flower like you were one!
"Mi amor" he repeated, clearing his throat as your shining eyes wouldn't leave his. "You won't like the future I can offer you. Rarely anything I ever see is pleasant."
"That's exactly what I want" you whispered, only now distancing himself so he could see your determined stance. "Wha- Why?!"
"I have never been blessed." You forced a pained smile and Bruno suffered together with you. "Not even once in my life, you know? So if I am not able to avoid it either way, I at least don't want the next catastrophy to get me by surprise again. It may sound crazy, but-"
"No" he spoke firmly and oddly understanding. Well, looking around you with all you knew about this man, it was certain that he had his own fair share of pain as well.
Much to your surprise, Bruno would suddenly sink down on the middle of the room, sitting cross-legged in a puddle of sand and gesturing for you to do the same.
The seer had made his decision, for everything about you gave it away: You were just as lost and broken as he was.
And maybe, just maybe, hopefully he could show you something that would give you hope. Something to look forwards to.
"Dios mio..." He whispered barely audible as you watched him eagerly - yet still a little involuntarily - prepare the ritual. You looked at his work completely in awe, asking questions without any judgement. "It's been a while, you know?"
"Don't worry" you reassured the nervous man, leaning forwards to put a hand on your knee. "Even if it doesn't work, it's more than enough that you went this far for a stranger like me."
That statement alone made Bruno think you were the most magnificent, benevolent person on earth, under no circumstances wanting to disappoint you...
...but then again, it's what he always does.
"Señor?" No reaction, so you softly grabbed his shoulders, shaking him ever so slightly. "Uh, Bruno? What's wrong?!"
The Madrigal bit his lip, but somehow he felt secure enough around you to voice his emotions. For the first time ever since he could remember, he didn't feel shy - but rather possessive, fearing to lose what is not even his.
"W-What if I show you something even worse than you expect? I-I don't want you to hate me."
"Oh, Bruno..." He jumped a little in his spot, the sincere care in your features showing him you spoke the much needed truth. "You're not causing those things. Why should I be mad at you?"
He gulped to keep himself from crying. Once, twice and a third time before gaining his composure, yet unable to wring out any words because his throat felt dried up.
"...you might wanna hang on..." he muttered, his demeanour now having changed from insecure to serious. Without hesitation, you intertwined your fingers with his, holding onto him for dear life as you noticed the sand to be rising, building a dome around the two of you.
"What's wrong? Are you alright?" You began to panic when Bruno's face contorted in pain and he began to shake - but your grip would not falter. "I-It's normal, don't worry. Just hang on!"
Vivid images projected on the sand, becoming more detailed the longer the ritual proceeded. It seemingly needed much concentration, and you'd rather not think about what a toll it would take on both his mind and body.
At first, you couldn't really make much sense out of the random images: There was your family, much to your relief seemingly happy and healthy. Occasionally random villagers, alltogether with several outstanding people you had never seen before.
"Wha-" Bruno finished your sentence as you were seeing the same thing, trying to make the picture more clear. "What...is this?"
The vision depictured you obviously - but that was not all.
You weared what appered to be a stunning wedding dress, a most radiant and content smile playing on your lips...
...and next to you was Bruno, looking just as jubilant as you.
"Señor, why are you showing me this?!"
"I cannot control it, I swear! I'm just as confused as you!" His glowing irises showed you he was indeed not lying, the things you were seeing right now being the undeniable future. "Should I stop? I don't know-"
"No!" you blurted out, anchoring yourself to him instead of recoiling your hands. "Please, continue."
Bruno stumbled backwards in an attempt to keep up the vision even through his astonishment, so you dared to bring yourself closer to lend him a hand.
Both of you nodded as you smiled at each other, watching the rest of the vision next to each other. His palm searched out yours once again, giving it his utter best to prolong the prophesy for as long as possible.
There were so many tiny yet meaningful moments of your shared life together appearing: Dancing on the roof of Casita at night, several dates in different parts of the town. How you'd renovate his cave, or build a crip for...oh dios mio, is the future you pregnant?!
The people would greet and cheer at Bruno and you, even Alma embracing her son at some point. You saw him being accepted by the townsfolk, and both of you among the people you loved most.
You tilted your head away from the vision, shuffling even closer to the man that was still staring at the glowing sand with wide eyes. When he already felt the heat radiating off of your skin on his cheek, Bruno would finally turn towards you as well, faces mere inches apart.
"Y/N, mi amore...I don't know what to say."
"Me neither" you whispered invitingly, lips brushing against his. "So just don't."
Both of you simultaneously closed the gap between each other, half-opened eyes still unbelievingly wanting to memorize every detail of this moment that felt like a dream.
Time seemingly stopped when his lips met yours, and the flutter only amplicated a thousandfold. You could almost hear your heart pound against your chest, in a rythm so fortunate it could burst of happiness.
Bruno melted to your touch, how your lips felt against his mouth, your scent intoxicating him. His fingers curled around your small frame, while yours entangled in his hair, pulling each other in every time one would gasp for air. All of his senses immediately were addicted, not wanting to ever let go off off you again.
This was rapture, and for a second he doubtet to be worthy of this bliss, unsure whether it might be a product of his lonely imagination. Maybe his mind tricked him into a perfect present - or future, rather - but every breath he took smelled like you and he just knew it was real.
Slowly but steadily, both of you would get down to earth again, lips still ghosting, lingering on each other before parting. Between the both of you an image formed out of thin air, materializing into green glass:
A family. You, Bruno and three children, all hugging each other in pure felicity.
"Thank you, Bruno - for becoming my future."
