a/n: so... so... so... i'm gonna take a break from writing the wedding sex hcs bit, and give you guys this, and boy will this be long as fuck. anyway love u guys mwa mwa, happy 1.2k followers!!

blade likes it when you spend time with him, especially when those little moments where its just the both of you cuddling in silence. where no one else can find the both of you. just admiring each other in his warm embrace, where you were snuggled so tightly into his chest. or whether it'd be those moments, where he knows you're cheering from afar, waiting for him to come back from a mission he was set out on, where you were safe, and waiting for him to come back, waiting to be in his arms again. he loves words of affirmation, or acts of service. he'll give off the same love language that you give, so basically mirrors it back to you.

jing yuan on the other hand, he loves it when praise slips past your soft lips, praise that compliments him. he's more than willing to give you gifts, and words that soothe your mood. just as long as his words can make you go oh so red in the face, and his gifts enough to do the same, he'll be okay. just loves it whenever he flirts with you, you can't help but become a tomato, even if you both are together. oh! but don't get me wrong! he becomes the tomato if you end up flirting back! thinks it's hot when you decide to talk back to him, with just as flirty words. loves it whenever you return his energy, or receive it!!

kafka loves it when you do stuff for her! like if you ever wanna plan anything on valentines', or when its your guys' anniversary, just planning a nice little outing with her, with her favorite kinds of flowers, and no matter what you tell me, she likes waterlilies + peonies! i don't care that they probably got different kinds of flowers in their universe, she'd love waterlilies. and as long as you treat her right, she'll give you gifts of all kinds, and maybe mixed in with a passion for physical touch! likes to feel your skin on hers, especially when you cuddle! feels safe either in your embrace, or you in hers.

silver wolf is fond of quality time! and gift giving, except as the receiving end.. loves it when you both get to finally spend time, playing multiplayer games all morning, and going out in the evening. take her out somewhere nice, not something too fancy, but something cozy, and quiet, somewhere you both can really just breathe for a second. likes to spend time with you all the same, let her know she's loved with words that can let her relax for once! kind of scared of your affection at first, but learns to love it, and give it back in the end.

seele is very loving when it comes to quality time. the more you get to know her, the more affectionate she becomes. and just melts when you cuddle her, or any sort of physical touch, and that's just if you both are close enough. likes dates that are just done at home, just simple picnics out in wherever is okay for her. just spend time with her, she's so busy and stressed out about whatever, just needs affection, and kisses to let it all just fade away. please just kiss it better for her, that's literally it. will be just as cuddly, and affectionate as you are through physical touch + words of affirmation. will tell you how much you've helped your mood, her strong words, and loving arms.

bronya rand is shy about it, but loves it when you spend time with her, and relax her with your soothing words. letting her know whatever choice she makes for belobog, its what's right, and for whatever decisions she should make, her heart should be able to help her choose. and whatever she chooses, it's whatever would be the best. and while at it, whenever she has a break, please, take her out to somewhere nice. just wants to relax too. really needs a breather from all her work. she'll be just as affectionate and return your love with gifts and her time. and having her time is great. being hers was already enough for you though! support her through everything and she'll fall in love all over again!

dan heng is head over heels for anything you give, and anything you do. loves all your gifts so much, his room is basically a trophy room for everything you've given to him. and loves it whenever you do acts of service for him. just melts thinking about it. acts of service or quality time?? he's your man! loves spending time with you, just taking you out anywhere he can, and whenever. just wants to spend time with you, and make sure you're just in his arms, in silence, or talking about something, he just wants to admire your pretty face.

OK THIS MIGHT BE A BIT MESSY BC IT'S AN INFODUMP

Also I have the designs for a lot of characters! Still working on them 💔💔

EXPLANATION!!!!!!:

So this whole au revolves around Charlie, and she falls into the mountain instead of Chara, so it's like, if Chara never fell

And she's totally freaked out by the whole situation with the monsters because she was one of those homeschooled kids where their parents won't teach them things they don't want them to know, so she has no idea who or what the monsters are. Sooo she kinda kills a few monsters out of panic-- smaller ones like froggit?

But Toriel takes her in because she feels bad and also because that's just what she does

Charlie gets used to it a bit, but still has a weird grudge, especially for the people outside of the ruins? But she also doesn't exactly know who they are, not really

So flash forward a bit, they're now angsty teens and the Dreemurrs leave to New Home because the ruins are getting way too out of shape

However, Chalrie and Asriel had a huge fight, and turns out she's developed some sort of small agoraphobia? So she ends up staying in the ruins. They would've taken her with them but she didn't wanna go because she was worried about what else might've been out there

And so Charlie ends up being the new Toriel, taking care of the ruins and what not. Yknow knock knock jokes the whole shabang, but she doesn't exactly have the same bond as Toriel and Sans. Every time she hears a knock knock joke she's like "your jokes fucking suck" and Sans is like "I think they're humerous" ba dum tss and then she's like "that was awful....tell me another". Just more of Charlie needing someone to keep her company so she doesn't go absolutely insane

But the difference in this is, humans aren't really interested in the monsters rn since the whole Asriel and Chara thing didn't happen

So no one's coming down to the mountain

And Error is like "this is a waste of space???? They're literally doing nothing it's so boring" and so he starts messing up stuff in the universe to be like "oh, whoops looks like it's defective and it's totally not my fault"

Ink ends up visiting the au one day in the ruins when he's fixing whatever Error had done and Charlie finds him and she's like "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU" and he's like "NOO NO NO I'M SAFE I PROMISE LOOK" and draws some stupid looking doodle, which is probably the worst way to plead your case

They talk for a bit, be it begrudgingly, but he has to calm her down somehow. And then he finds out she's been alone all this time and decides to become her friend to keep her company. Error finds our and is like "YOU'RE RUINING MY WHOLE PLAN ARE YOU SERIOUS" His jealous rage gets the best of him for sure, but also just normal rage, and he attempts to destroy the universe

alsooo list of things that have been making rounds inside my head for a while now:

1. ear ice pick

2. nostril spinning saw rod

3. the phrase "I'll stop stabbing when you stop screaming" bc it's kinda funny and I think I saw it on some Riddler fanart ??

4. the phrase "They'll keep finding your body for three months. You'll be alive for at least two of them." bc it's cool even if it sounds kinda edgy ykwim... it's from a post on here, I have it on my blag but I don't wanna look for it rn

5. the phrase "Mary pays in blood" which just sorta manifested into my brain one day & IDK if I saw it somewhere and then forgot WHERE I saw it but ya. And it's really kinda annoying me cause like who is Mary and what is she paying for and why does it have to be in blood.... Google is not telling me.

6. Off of that 👆 I had an idea of "Mary" (not 2 be confused w/ the Mary I just posted abt lol) being a girl who lives in a single very white room with a bed, a huge TV on the wall and the remote for said TV. The gist of it is that you start each "story" by flipping thru the channels and selecting one, but you are never the "true" protagonist in any of them. I was kinda stressing about having to forcefully come up w/ more than one short story for a single game cause my brain is Not That Big, but then I thought it'd be nice to just like. Take an existing side chara from an "existing" story (AKA one that I didn't force) and then do it from their POV if that makes senseeee.... just as a compilation/anthology thing maybe

7. the possum girl one that's a lot more about exploration and mystery-solving ETC but I think I already posted abt that one and the only thing I've added to it/expanded on is the girl's parents bc they are really funny n cute to me. & Also there's a guy with a flower shop now. & his sister owns a fashion boutique. And I wanna put a butcher shop in there as well cause when I go to the one near my house I rly like looking at the different signs they have around n stuff (those ones like "if you want a credit go to the bank‼️")

8. that one comic I made and then left half-finished (LOL) about my two loser guy OCs being literally physically incapable of getting bitches (gender neutral) and being absolutely COWARDLY about it was so so funny to me I keep thinking about them and about what other Situations I can toss em in

9. throat plumbing

10. one person getting stitched (like, physically and also in strange ways/places) to another except said other person is very much not into it. to say the least. kinda like human centipede but if it was two people and one of them was the one who made it happen.

11. open-wound stabbing which I think is pretty self explanatory but I started thinking about it more recently when I saw one of those videos where they've got like a bunch of balloons inside each other and then pop em by layers. which is not really similar to what I have in mind but it's what caused it.

12. kinda related to that 👆: the way blood pools inside wounds like I love splatter but there is something SO nice about seeing it come out slowly ykwim...

First day of writing my thoughts feelings and experiences here and whatever else. I heard tumblr works well as a journal/blog so might as well.

Even though I'm honestly still not entirely sure how this platform works (especially not on the pc ver) we all learn as we go, don't we?

Anyhow. I gotta get back home from school.. can't believe I'm sick again! Man, it's all the girl's fault for not being able to keep their asses home when they're sick. I confronted one of the girls about it and she really said "You would've gotten mad at me for not coming to help with the project" (we are unfortunately working on a group contest together — a group of 6 girls) like, no girl, no one would. She was the one that got mad at another person from our group when THEY were sick and told them to come to school. Darn hypocrite.

I hate this damn problem doe. Its so stupid. There are ups to it though. For example, i didn't have to attend a bunch of classes which is cool but then again im falling behind w all the lessons and shit so thats not great.

I just want it to be over fast. Cant stand working w some of these people no more. Fake asf

Rn im taking a bath! My favourite thing to do ngl. Its so warm and nice and cosy. Outside, in the parking lot behind our house theres people setting up the farmers market. Ive always found it so endearing and nice!! I love farmers markets and even if i dont buy anything, just passing thru it is nice.

On another brighter than all the other notes!!! My boyfriend got accepted into Uni here!!! We'll be breaking long distance soon. Its all happening so fast but im so glad so so glad hes coming home soon. I miss him more than anything. He's also going to come visit in a week or so!! I cant wait

Next week our school has this thing called 'Green week' where we take a break from normal school activities to instead do other things related to nature n shit. In concept it sounds nice but our teachers always pick the most boring activities for us...that sucks. For example, we'll be going to the Botanical garden for 4 hours!!! That'd be cool and all but we all know the botanical garden like the back of our hands from how much we visited it.. Theres plenty of other things to see, im sure, but most teachers don't wanna bother with actual interesting stuff, unfortunately.

Another small something is that i have recently started playing Star Rail again! Its great!! I would say im doing quite well, advancing through the story and stuff... I still have to properly build my charas doe oops! Thing is, i came back for this new character called 'Boothill', truly a charming gentleman. Haha! I managed to farm around 100 wishes in a week with a bit of help from my boyfriend as well~ I will get Boothill guys trust!! I kinda gave in though and pulled for Aventurine as well ... and i got him. But theres around 40 days left to farm for Boothill so im sure ill be gucci!! Ill be pulling for both him and his lightcone... and hopefully more copies of him hehe~~~

Todays weather was kinda shitty. The weather has been shitty recently actually. Its so cold and it keeps raining even tho not too long ago it was all nice warm and sunny, like how spring should be! I miss the nice weather, i hope it comes back soon so i can wear my short skirts, long socks and cool graphic tees!

Hmm~ I might hop back on here later mayhaps mayhaps to write some more stuff but for now ill be signing off!

I went ahead and wrote some character quotes for every significant character in Underswap (Including some characters who never initially had any concepts.) Hopefully whoever ends up seeing this enjoys them! Some characters will also include headcanons (Which I will explain along with their personality as you read.)

All of the Floweys are innocent and goofy, but speak normally. The Flowey replacing Bob would be named Rob, (to reference an Underswap co-host who went by "Coastrobbo") who speaks like Undertale Temmie. Each Flowey has a distinctive personality.

do not hurt me but ever since last summer i thought it would be sooooo cool to put a like. danganronpa spin on TQ / UD dkndkg LIKE LIKE.... itd have the danganronpa mechanics and stuff but not necessarily the killing game premise you know? itd make more sense if i like explained my ideas and such but i also think i wanna save it for later.... but know i have a shit ton of thoughts on what i wanna do and stuff dgkdg i WILL say however, protag!laura and protag!sam respectively

i wanna make this like... immediate swap of the UD characters w/ TQ charas ... like. emily woould swap w/ kaitlyn, jess w/ emma, sam w/ laura, ashley w/ abi etc etc. so instead of kaitlyn and dylan at the scrapyard, it'd be emily and matt at the scrapyard ya feel me? the same events that happened in TQ will happen but theyre just. w/ the UD characters instead

and speaking of... ive posted / talked abt this briefly but i have SOOOO many ideas for a UD / TQ situation swap AU... meaning the UD guys are in a TQ environment... and oh man do i have a ton of imo HELLA COOL AND EPIC ideas for it... i just gotta flesh things out more thoroughly and come up w/ "chapters" i suppose. ive got giant general ideas and some already solidified scenes but. thats kind of it. im super excited to work more on it though. it is my Child

i was REAAAAALLLY into life is strange in the fall of 2021... hold on post on hold i can't believe its coming up to 2 years since i first watched my friend stream it. fuuuuuuuck. anyway. i had this life is strange in the fire emblem three houses universe AU gdgjnf like. the LIS charas were in FE3H and were in the diff houses and stuff. i didnt have too much of it fleshed out but i had this idea for rachel and max with rachel basically taking the role of sothis and oiiuggh i still love the idea so much

What are your thoughts on a Frisk/Lilac pairing? Are you opposed to the idea?

Frisk and Lilac iiiis an interesting case of being murky in terms of how I feel about it. I personally see them as a bit more sibling-like, but also there was an undeniable toxicity/codependency that was never quite resolved- honestly, they kinda wound up being a parallel to the way Chara and Asriel's dynamic pre-death, right down to Frisk pushing Lilac into a plan she was uncomfortable with and her getting hurt in the process.

So in my mind, them being romantic is shaky because when it's come to hashing out backstory details with them, it was always a case of like, "Are they basically found family type sibling dynamic, or is it a childhood besties/possible first crush scenario?" At this point, I lean the former, but since the comic only has so much in terms of content for them right now (that being Frisk's flashback, the two secret pages with Lilac, and recent stuff), I'm definitely not gonna scold or yell at anyone who thought the idea of them is cute. Y’all aren’t mind readers, and I don’t like the aggression that stuff can bring anyway.

I'd say it's iffy for me in the same way Charisk is uncomfortable for a lot of people in the fandom due to how many people prefer Frisk as part of the Dreemurr fam, whereas I personally feel like that should be taken on a work-by-work basis due to the existence of places to go and other in-game choices. Ftr, I totally get why folks feel this way, though in IF's case, Frisk and Chara did not form a sibling bond, and Frisk is going to end up staying with Papyrus, which certainly helps avoid some awkward shit (tho may not please everyone in that area). And despite me not going in with ships in mind, they ended up having a really cute dynamic that appealed to tons of my readers and got my neurodivergent brain goin' "this is now a cute, G-rated comfort thing. >:|" Only in the context of this AU- please, please don't ship Charisk in AUs that do have 'em as siblings. That's a big nope. D:

But also, I'm the kinda person who doesn't expect people to like all the things I do, and hell. My favorite Kingdom Hearts ship is Riku and Kairi. Antipode ships Ringabel from Bravely Default with Aqua completely on accident despite BD characters never being in the actual KH games, and Ven and Sora ended up with accidental chemistry there too. :P I'd be a huge hypocrite if I said people can only like the canon or accidentally shipteased stuff in Inverted Fate.

Frisk and Lilac just sits in a place where I just dunno, y'know? And I dunno how I should feel when for over two years, the specificity of their dynamic has been left kinda vague. Though I will say, if there is one IF Frisk ship outside of the usual suspects (e.g. Fr*ns and shit) that I'm really not comfortable with, iiit's Frisk and Asriel. Not keen on the idea of Frisk falling for someone who manipulated and traumatized them, plus the murkiness of Flowey's mental age. Like w/ Charisk, this applies specifically to IF- I'm not trying to attack it in other non-sibling contexts, even if it's not my thing.

But yeah. I just dunno when it comes to Frisk and Lilac. It probably doesn't help that the chapters where she interacts with Frisk aren't out yet, so there's a lot you guys have yet to see. Plus with Lilac being adopted into a whole different family, it's also just "what do we classify them as???" Does it count as inc*st vibes at that point? Genuine question here. :( Especially as a csa/inc*st survivor I don't wanna seem insensitive, y'know? I don’t like shipping adoptive siblings, and Ch*sriel is a big nope for me, and since Frisk and Lilac feel parallel to that in some respects, it’s just ???.

Also, apparently some people crackship IF Berdly and Frisk. And also Berdly and Lilac. This amuses me immensely.

ok so ill probably add to this slowly but time for some stats and answers and stuff! obviously dont check this out if you dont wanna be spoiled (thread)

first, here's the actual amounts of each results people have been getting:

when i say i had NO IDEA we'd get so many chuunis....watching the numbers go up the first few days felt like a fever dream haha

but its comforting to know that everyone is cringe and free! i for one welcome our new gothy overlords!

i was also really surprised that gimmick idols got some of the lowest scores 😭 the space that spans is so wide so i was expecting way more people to get that result since i figured it'd catch a lot of people, but i guess you guys are rare!

now its time to look at the archetype list:

this was pretty tricky, especially cause i was working on the quiz for funsies at silly o clock in the morning for two nights while i was dealing with some sickness induced exhaustion lol. i wanted to include more (a few like the princely type nearly made the cut), but I found there was

1. a lot of crossover between archetypes (this even happened with some of the idols i chose for the results image!!! hanayo being average idoltwt user AND a harapeko type or minori being average idoltwt user AND fake it til you make it for example)

2. some archetypes that were only based on visuals or not on personality at all

3. kind of lowkey paradoxical (eg. someone might really fit the princely type, but often in idol shows they make it so that trait is pushed on them, but they secretly wanted to be feminine all along, which like, ok but then if someone actually fits the princely vibe I'd be slightly struggling for examples and we'd get all tied in knots unfortunately)

4. the amount of answers was already getting so long that if i added any more it'd start getting difficult to come up with more answers for some of the more concrete questions (like what you'd do post graduation etc)

...so I had to kind of draw the line somewhere. especially cause i thought like 3 of my idoltwt mutuals would take it and that's it 😭 maybe I'll make a part 2 or a more extensive quiz later who knows (guess who just remembered the 'rock is life' type idols and screamed into a pillow for only just remembering...)

so the idol archetype categories themselves are DEFINITELY things I've picked up on in multiple series, altho they may require a lil bit of explaining so I'll quickly summarise each one when we go thru the characters. i should probably mention that some of these (like the chuunibyou) are word for word archetypes that people use all the time, while some were just me trying to put words to the character types so the wording was just a descriptor (fake it til you make it queen), altho i hope they were useful! ive seen a few people online using these terms after taking the quiz which is super cute...🙇 let's take a look at these categories shall we?

(note: i have varying levels of familiarity w these characters, i wanted to make it reasonably varied and recognisable but some of them i kind of just knew what category they fit and that's it)

THE CHUUNIBYOU

to those who don't know, the chuunibyou is a pretty popular archetype beyond just idols, and tends to refer to people who are stuck in or going through their 'edgy phase'; chuu-ni being short for second year of middle school syndrome (think like, 13 or 14 year olds), but the general vibe tends to be associated with emo or goth phases, claiming to have an evil eye, being or being a servant of Satan, hiding a secret shy or self conscious side with edge, yaknow. average tween behaviour. it's not limited by age tho especially in anime media! one of the examples i used is a 26 year old grown man with a job. never too late!

Like with a lot of the other categories it was really hard to narrow down the results page characters, but from left to right:

1. Todo Yurika from Aikatsu!

Yurika takes being a lifestyle lolita to the next level, being a gothic lolita and punk idol with the chuuni character of a vicious vampire, which she desperately tries to keep up as part of her career, only letting people see her quiet nerdy self once in a blue moon. She has a secret soft spot for garlic ramen and sings some of the best songs in the entire series (which is an achievement cause aikatsus songs are god tier).

music rec (won't do this for everyone, only ones i know well, but pls feel free to fill in the blanks in the comments/reblogs!): check out Glass Doll, Onegai Venus and Eternally Flickering Flame! She has two singing voices over the series, both of which are incredible.

2. Asselin BB II (Asselin Beelzebub the Second) from The Idolm@ster SideM!

Asselin is a genius chef in his mid-twenties that ended up on the streets being kicked from countless jobs because of his ....quirks. He's a chuuni through and through, and its something a lot of the people around him didn't know how to handle, but when he gets taken in by Cafe Parade (both an idol group AND a real life dining establishment) to be their chef, he finally finds a place where he belongs. He's goofy and crazy while simultaneously being an introverted and nervous personality, and claims to be a servant of Satan, which just happens to be an adorable plushie that he carries around for comfort and finds difficult to be without, who gets painstakingly dressed up in matching outfits whenever he's included in a card! Don't be fooled by his softness though, this servant of satan has PIPES. You may recognise his voice, as he's played by well-known seiyuu Furukawa Makoto.

3. Tsushima Yohane from Love Live Sunshine!!

Probably the most famous on the list so I'll keep it brief! She's been at this chuuni business since she was a little girl, so she encountered a lot of loneliness before joining Aqours, but she's got a cute and clumsy personality and has a tendency to yell about being a fallen angel. She's an absolute sweetheart, despite claiming that she's angered God himself, and is always there at the scene to deliver an edgy pose or stunning vocals.

arc v 15-22 thoughts!!

-i forgot to say it last post, but i really really love the first op! and the ost in general is rly rly good. going to be very sad when they change the op eventually (prob around the ep 25-35 mark im guessing?) -its so funny yuya doesnt wear his school uniform at all except kinda slinging the jacket over his shoulders. all the other male students have pants that match their jacket! but fuck it hes the protag, he can wear his cargos I guess! -tbh glad shingo pointed out its unfair only yuya has pendulum cards, lol. true. (the fact yuya is upset reiji had them was bullshit! u have protag privilege! u dont even know where the cards came from! be more concerned about that!)

-shingo in general is kinda a Silly Guy and I like him more each time we see him. kinda just wanna see him and yuzu interact more too…when she yelled at him. and he still came up to tell yuya to stop eating gross infront of a 'lady'…hes a feminist king! -LMAO STRONG ISHIMA QUIT TO GO TRAIN OVERSEAS AFTER LOSING TO A 14 YR OLD. feel so bad for that guy ngl hope he comes back at some point -ok how did i not notice the xyz course student at lds has a big dipper head piece/star theme….thats SUCH a funny detail in reference to zexal? pls. not going to remember this charas name bc masumi is clearly the leader of their lil pack but I love it -very cool yuzu gets her own rival (assuming masumi will be?) and training arc moment, but also, she should already KNOW fusion! her dad! is a duel teacher! -sora being lke 'is this allowed? is this allowed?' when helping yuzu..LMAO whos boots are u licking. be an ally to yuzu and HELP her if she wants it -yuzu having a magical accessory like all the main ygo charas!! tbh shes the main character. To Me -yuyas mom having a million pets is SO CUTE. finally a protag with pets. and who is a clown. relatable. tho i dont like him rushing his mom to make pancakes or being fussy abt breakfast!! ur 14 dude just make ur own pancakes if u want some!!! good god

-the lil gang of kids that follow yuya around i am trying sooo hard not to be annoyed by them but by god are they annoying me anyway -MICHIOOOOO IS SO CUTE. FRECKLES. Is anon talking about making Frisk and Chara binary gendered in Endertale?

I did some digging and I do see some rather questionable posts from a few years ago involving gender discourse and the Undertale fandom (including reblogging a post from C/amila of G/litcht/ale fame that really was not comfortable and was pretty transphobic). But then I also saw art of Mew with the nonbinary pride flag posted last year and a reblog of a really cute trans baby godzilla video, so I really don't know if those attitudes still apply. I don't wanna turn this into a callout thing, of course, or condone harassment of any kind. I'm just trying to get a read on things so I can better understand.

I suppose the real important thing for me is if those attitudes still apply, because five years ago is a really long time and people can learn and change their perspectives. But no matter what- I think it's understandable for people to just not wanna support because of those posts, regardless of age. Something being a few years old doesn't mean that people weren't hurt, and it's natural to be skeptical when trans and gender discussions are such a needlessly controversial topic in online spaces.

Case in point: I have had several comments on my Mad Mew Mew video trying to act like the idea of trans coding in Undertale is outlandish.... despite numerous gay, bi, and other such identities existing in UT and DR. Trans identities are challenged and invalidated WAY too much, and it drives me nuts every time.

So like, I get it, 100%. And I think with the UT fandom having so much phobic behavior (the Deltarune subreddit was REALLY bad recently), people are gonna be on edge and extra cautious for their own safety.

But I think if any more discussion of this is to come my way, I'd rather do to in private. Not because I wanna ignore people's concerns- I just don't wanna make this a big thing on my blog because too often when stuff like this comes up, people with less restraint will use it as an opportunity to dogpile when they can just filter out the content creators in question. This isn't directed at the initial anon, who was just giving a heads up- just an unfortunate side effect of social media overall. :(

I used to engage w/ stuff like that on my blog years ago, but I just don't have the energy now. I remember being pretty mad and hostile on my blog a few years ago and it just isn’t something I’m proud of.

Frisk Month '22 Day 23 - Bravery

Frisk makes a confession.

“W-well, at least the music’s good,” says Alphys, opening up a fresh bag of popcorn. She and Frisk are on episode… 20? 21? Frisk can’t remember anymore, but it’s a cartoon that Alphys has fallen in love with and Frisk is watching for the first time tonight.

The music is pretty good, they think. They haven’t been able to focus on the show’s plot. It’s been a long, lonely day for them, and they love spending time with Alphys usually, but now it’s 3am and they’re tired and feeling like the worst person alive.

“Oh, h-hey, are you okay? It’s… it’s not THAT bad, is it???” Alphys pauses the show. Frisk hides their face behind a pillow with cat ears. They really hate it when people see them cry.

“I’m fine,” they try to say, but it comes out more like “mmfffmm.”

“…okay, um… if you don’t wanna talk, that’s fine,” says Alphys. “But if you do wanna talk, I’m here for you. I-I mean, I’ll listen, and I won’t tell anyone what you say, okay?” She puts the popcorn on the coffee table and turns to face Frisk properly. “Is it… no, uh, I shouldn’t guess, sorry.”

Frisk raises their head an inch above the pillow. “I failed a science test,” they admit.

“Oh, that’s all?” Alphys says. “Wait, I don’t mean that it’s silly or anything!! Just!!! I, I can help with science stuff, if you like.”

“…that would be nice. If you could help.” Frisk leans back onto the couch, fiddling with the pillow in their hands. “I guess, um… Chara helped me a lot with science tests before, and now that they’re in their own body, I did a lot worse than I thought I would. And I don’t wanna tell them, ‘cause they’ll feel bad.”

“Oh…” says Alphys. “Yeah, that r-really sucks.”

Frisk takes a deep breath before making their final admission. “And I ripped up the paper after the teacher handed it back. And Mom’s supposed to sign it, so I’m gonna get in trouble.”

Alphys tries to hold back her smile. “Oh, I did that with my tests, too… um, do you… would you like a hug?”

Frisk leans against Alphys. Her hugs are the softest out of all of their friends, except Mom and Dad. It feels really, really nice right now.

“…hey, I know something about getting in trouble,” says Alphys. “And in the moment, it feels really sucky, but then things get better, because you have people who care about you and want to help you. And yeah, it can feel kinda awkward, but… that’s what love is about, you know?” She gives Frisk a quick squeeze. “You know who taught me that?”

Frisk laughs. “Yeah.”

“Also…” Alphys pulls away. “You’re really brave for telling me this, and I’m really proud of you. And I bet your mom and Chara will be proud of you, too.”

Frisk smiles. They’re already feeling so much lighter. “Thanks, Alphys.”

“So…” Alphys says with a hint of a smirk, “do you want to practice telling your mom?”
